Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, <-- Law of Three
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, <-- Law of Seven
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, <-- The Nine Points of the enneagram
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them <-- Law of One
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
Now who taught J.R.R. Tolkien about the enneagram?

Just learned about a different interpretation of the law of three and I like it way better!
Everyone knows the:
what ever you do, you get it three times back.
But the original text says:
“But mark well, when thou receivest good, so equally art bound to return good threefold” (Gerald Gardner's 1949 novel High Magic's Aid)
So the other interpretation is: what ever you get give it three times back
That feels more right to me cause:
- first you don’t need to think about what you did to deserve it when something bad happens, shit just happens
- than if someone intentionally is messing with you, you are definitely allowed to defend yourself
-and last, when people are nice to you, pay it forward
So yeah, gonna live by that. Just thought that other people might want to know too. Cause the other interpretation is so wide spread!

I recall saying this before, but it bears repeating:
There could be a billion trans people in the world and it still wouldn't be a bad thing because being trans is not a bad thing. Even if the rate of people discovering they are trans is "disproportionate" to trends from decades ago, that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a natural consequence for there being more trans people being able to stay alive, and, overall, being able to live in a slightly more tolerant world. You'd only see that as a bad thing if you actively didn't want trans people to either live or live a life that facilitates wellness.

wait, you're a lawyer? for real?
I got an associates in stage tech, a double BFA in Graphic Design and 3D Design, and then went to law school on full academic scholarship, booked twelve classes, fell asleep during the Bar Exam three times (but passed with flying colors before the curve), and the motion for my admission to practice (put forward by my brother, also a lawyer), started, "My sister has many issues, but the one before the Court today is that of her admission to the State Bar of Michigan."
And somehow yes, they do let me practice law.

CIA Officer: Laswell, you’re supposed to FOLLOW THE LAW. ESPECIALLY WHEN I SEND YOU ON THESE TASKS
Laswell: I haven’t broken any laws
CIA Officer: LASWELL-
Laswell: I don’t break them! I send my boys in and they do it for me
CIA Officer: EXCUSE ME-?
Laswell: They break the laws so I can solve crimes
CIA Officer: *stunned silence*
Laswell: It’s not that hard to understand

I am still obsessed with how fucking rude Armand's little script notes were. "We need an animation here to convey how bad the hoarding was," bitch that is your boyfriend you are selling to his death. It's that necessary for you to let a whole theatre of humans know how bad his depression cave got?

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.
His grey hairs are so earned
