My birthday was on December 9th and I have heard from various friends that I am officially “over the hill,” although I dispute that idea because I believe the ugly phrase refers to 50. In any case I have officially entered midlife, if not the demarcation of over half my life already lived

i was relistening to tmagp episodes again and i was like "huh. weird that alice and lena have somewhat similar accents, but gwen has a noticeably different one. i thought they all lived in or close to manchester." but then i remembered that english accents, much like finnish dialects, can also signify class. so that's interesting

#trying to listen past their actual voices and instead focus on the accents and yeah!!! yeah.#one thing i noticed is gwen pronounces the “n” in the word “environment”#but if i try to picture lena or alice saying that word the “n” always drops #alice and lena also pronounce the “t” less in words where it lands in the middle or end whereas gwen sometimes emphasizes it #overall gwen pronounces more letters in words than lena or alice do #which is (as far as i'm aware) a trait in most upper class or posh accents when compared to lower or working class #saying all of this as someone who has not done proper research into english accents btw #tmagp #the magnus protocol #lena kelley #alice dyer #gwen bouchard

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I wish we could go to those times in which Magneto and Pietro relationship was written like this, complicated but at least nuanced and in character, not whatever Steve Orlando is been working on in the last issue of Scarlet witch and Quicksilver.

It also offends me the way Orlando wrote this, sure Magneto got his heart taken out, he was barely holding himself together after surviving Uranus first attack, he had to take care of the survivors and then go fight him again, he even could have a heartfel talk with David, Legion, while literally holding his heart back together and you are telling me I have to believe the man´s priority at the time was to write a letter in which he said his Son was a danger to his twin?
