How they show their love + Act in their relationship

Nikolai Gogol, Sigma, Chuuya Nakahara, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Dazai Osamu, Bram Stoker, Mushitaro, Jouno x reader

Nikolai Gogol

Nikolai... is interesting. His love isn't apparent most of the time. Just like he masks his true demeanor with humor and his eccentric attitude, he masks his love as well.

Even when you begin dating, don't expect him to open up much. Everything stays the same as when you were friends, with the exception of an occasional teasing kiss.

Emphasis on teasing. Part of Nikolai's expert plan (in his mind) is to free you from emotions too, by breaking you down. That occasional kiss is rare- withheld for only when you please him or to give you a rare spot of hope when you begin feeling hopeless about the relationship.

He does love you, but it's begrudgingly; a great source of irritation for him; after all these years of fighting against his "human nature" he is still privy to human weaknesses.

When he does genuinely express his love, it's when he's being serious with you, trusting you with the man under the mask. It may not seem like the best relationship, and certainly not love-- but if you peer between the lines.. you might set your eyes on the shadows of affections.

Sigma

Sigma is so, so, suffocatingly cautious.

Can you blame him? Everyone either uses him or leaves him. Sigma's expression of love could be just so much deeper-- but he's learned his lesson, he's already half-broken and you're the only one gluing together the edges of deep-running cracks, but leaving the center to shatter.

When you first start dating him, he still doesn't even leave the casino. Doesn't even bother, since it would be better to stay in case something happened, after all what if the power failed, or somebody crucial called out sick, or--

You spend a lot of time breaking him from his anxious thoughts.

He eventually begins opening up to you, laughing with you, letting you listen to his opinions and thoughts with minimal cares. He loves your kisses and dreams of things with you he never once considered in his short life. And about his short life--

He still hasnt told you of his origins.. it's not that he doesn't want to, but he doesn't know how.

He worries sometimes about your relationship, which seems to be going just so well. Will you hate him? You'd leave him, surely!

Worry is the center focus of Sigma's love, and his life in general. Don't expect him to ever stop worrying about one thing or another, from a date night to marriage, his sense of anxiety seems engraved in his bones.

Chuuya Nakahara

Chuuya's love is so aggressive, in more ways than one.

Chuuya's loss of everyone he loved makes him utterly convinced he's going to lose you. You matter more than anything to him, and it is that loyalty that strains your relationship; particularly, your disdain for his membership of the mafia. He struggles with himself, day and night, not being able to choose between you and the mafia. It's like asking him to choose between his family and his lover.

The fights aren't enough to deter you from pestering him about it anyway; he doesn't let you see how badly the topic upsets him. Mentally, he's begging you to drop it. There's always a little bit of tension. Chuuya's short fuse coupled with the (albeit small) problems you have, makes an sometimes explosive bond between the two of you.

Try as he might, he just can't excuse some of the stupid things you do when he's not constantly watching your every move like a toddler. Maybe none of the mistakes you make are big, but Chuuya is annoyed by every little thing, so there's no such thing as a "small" problem.

When the goings' good, however, it's good. Chuuya spoils you with lots of affections, drowning you in his deep - sometimes frankly obsessive- love. Chuuya will come home with flowers, and gifts or whatever details you had that needed tying up if you haven't gotten to them yet. His heart is so big and open when it comes to you, he can't even really hide it. He just loves you so, so much.

(NSFW) Chuuya's sweet, happy love, however, has to be balanced out by the roughness he displays in bed. If you aren't interested in sex for a long time or for whatever personal reason, you might as well call it quits. Chuuya's sex drive is insanely high, and he's absolutely, torturously, wild in bed. He needs you; sex goes beyond simple want for him.

All in all, Chuuya's expression of love runs as deep as his loyalty, so you'd better not betray it.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

Fyodor is a very manipulative man, and even more so a lover.

If you have something he wants, he bleeds you dry of it- and that could be love or information. It's all the same protocol. Deceive and achieve.

Fyodor's "love" consists of the sweetest phrases and whispers of passion at the beginning, and eventually you find yourself at his beck and call, more of a slave than a lover, a partner, what you long to be with him.

He teases you, brings you to the edge of how much he 'hates' you, and then pulls back the reigns, showering you with love and apologies and the promise of change. Fyodor's real love is rough and cold. You're in a better situation with the fake affections than the real ones.

Give yourself to him. All of you. Let him love you.

Dazai Osamu

Dazai is all smiles, jokes, passion and cruelty.

It doesn't seem like it, but under the surface Dazai's demeanor is cold, calculating, and cruel. Frightening to you, in a relationship, even though he never physically harms you. But the threats... are enough to keep you in check. Luckily, most of the time Dazai keeps up that happy facade, even with you.

Your relationship becomes strained when he lets that facade down too much, but the truth is so well-hidden most of the time that for the most part you consider your relationship happy and fruitful.

Dazai's affection is plentiful, with many gentle kisses and passionate nights . You often have open conversations, attempting to decode and outwit his high intelligence, which, for the most part, was to no avail. He was just too smart, and always on top of you, more quick witted than you ever could be. He would deflect your more probing questions and problems with a joke, and turn the situation back on you.

Dazai, on the whole would be a great lover, but an even greater enemy.

Should I make a Dark Yandere Headcacnnon post for Daz? Because I feel like this man would hold his own suicide over your head right off the bat, so you would never know he was suicidal to begin with. He gets a 10/10 in the manipulation catagory.

Bram Stoker

Bram's affection is apathetic.

It isn't his fault, really. It's hard to love on someone when you're only a head and shoulders mounted on a sharp blade, but even when he has an opportunity, Bram feels more jaded about love and getting close to someone than anyone else, and it's hard to get him to open up.

Given your relationship is really just watching movies and talking, you don't get to be as close to Bram as you would like either, but in rare moments he will allow you to carry him, not like fukuchi, but resting his head in the crook of your neck like a hug. He won't admit it, but he adores being held like this. If he had arms, he'd hold you crushingly tight.

Many conversations with Bram are awkward, both because of his conflicted emotions and his lack of modern knowledge. Prepare for some downright painful misunderstandings and embarrassing explanations.

Bram doesn't know how to express his deep love for you, especially in a modern world he has trouble adapting to. He thinks, if he had a body, he would have already taken the opportunity to take you far away from everyone, from evil people he knows more about than you. Lying beneath his polite disdain for many things, he's worried-- fearful of what will be done to you to manipulate him, and he won't be able to protect you.

Bram knows he can't protect you, but he'll be damned if he doesn't try.

Mushitaro Oguri

Mushitaro's affections are meticulous, almost as meticulous a him. He wants your kisses and affections, don't get me wrong; but not in public, limited in private, and only in certain places, like the couch or the bedroom. He even goes as far as to request that you not kiss or touch him in certain areas, for no other reason than him finding it improper (although you really think he's just being bashful).

His personality, as a whole, makes him very hard to be in any sort of partnership with. He's picky about everything, from the food you make him to the things even you wear.

In a relationship, he's loving, stipulations aside. His love is more protective than you think is normal, at first, but you quickly sink into your normal routine of going everywhere with Mushitaro and only Mushitaro. He doesn't care for your friends but lets you hang out with them on occasion, a long as you are with him and he finds them decent company. After all, your image reflects his as well. You wouldn't want to ruin his image, now would you?

Mushi isn't a hardcore yandere, much to your luck. Eventually, there comes a time where his nature is finally apparent to you, but there's not much you can do about it and not much you would do anyways. You already know, it's simply not a concern that he may go too far; the strength to truly harm you isn't within his reach.

The best thing you can do in a relationship with Mushitaro is to please him as best as possible, love him with all your heart, and settle into your strictly-regulated relationship.

Jouno Saigiku

Jouno's relationship with you is forceful. He tries to make it feel natural, with fake affections and gifts, but doesn't know how to properly conduct a meaningful relationship; after all, your first "date" was when he showed up to a Café you regularly frequented after you had previously turned him down numerous times, infinitely agitating him.

He often spoke of his association with the hunting dogs, hoping to impress you, although you'd never been overly interested in his stories. It wasn't that you didn't love him at all; you wouldn't have agreed (after much pressure) to live with him if you didn't, but his expression of love feels strained and you pick up on it.

With the lack of affections, you can sometimes become upset, and moreover unbalanced by the rejection of your outright asks for his affection. However, if Jouno senses that he's really, legitimately fucked up, he will probably give you a nice cuddle, and perhaps, if you voice that it's an issue that plagues you, he will kiss you on the cheek on the way out the door each day.

The issue at hand is that Jouno does really love you, but he doesn't know how to balance love, work, and his own sadistic nature. He does care for you a lot, and will show it, but it may be in manipulative ways, sometimes with poorly disguised threats or pressure. It's not that he can't be more kind and caring with you, but part of him won't allow it, so he follows his own warped personality.

Loving Jouno isn't easy, but the sweet moments have unimaginable value, and Jouno will always care for and protect you, in his own cute little ways. Love him, or face the consequences.

• Atsushi is a generally open and honest person, and often chooses to share as much of himself with his lover as possible.

• He's not afraid to open up and be vulnerable in front of his significant other, and values honesty in their relationship. He will often share things about himself without reservation, and will often trust his significant other with information that he wouldn't normally share with anyone else.

• However, there are times when he may choose to withhold certain information, either because it's too painful to discuss or because he wants to protect his lover from potential hurt or disappointment.

• At the same time, Akutagawa might also be the type to share the minute details of his day and everything that's going on in his head with his partner.

dazai loves you avoidantly.

although he craves your love, the moment he recieves anything resembling it, the nausea builds in his stomach. he shuts down and puts distance between the two of you, running away when you give him what he knows is healthy. he keeps himself in a certain gap, feeling a sense of queasiness upon the exposure and vulnerability.

it wasn't like he loathed the sensation. he just felt nauseated from receiving something that wasn't manifested through manipulation, anger, or fear. he had shown people affection but never did someone show their fondness for him so openly; the softness you were displaying towards him was too much unfamiliar to him.

he didn't know how to act whenever you were being so affectionate towards him, it brought him a sudden feeling of intense warmth engulfing his chest — his fingers would twitch, entangling themselves within the locks of your hair — he didn't know how to react to it thus he would always cover up his tensed up reactions as you pepper kisses all around his face, soft laughters eliciting from you. he knew he didn't deserve your affection, after all, he was no living man, or a celibate son of christ. he was merely an imbecile, a sordid creation of vacantness, without any preacher of a blest, canonical jurisdiction

he's extremely hesitant to pull you closer to himself — afraid that you too will slip through his fingers like sand yet stick to his skin like odasaku. it was always like that, the people dazai didn't want to lose will always be lost. dazai knew it would be too selfish of him to indulge any further to his emotions and cause you misfortune.

but perhaps, he was slightly fond of being selfish too. your skin radiated warmth that seethed into his bitterly cold skin, enveloping himself with warmthness. the sensation of his skin that was often so frigid to the point it reminded himself he was as cold as a rotting corpse being covered with mellowness made him remember he was also human.

so for once, he finally allows himself to indulge in your affection.

୨♡୧ chuuya nakahara (ft. the flags)

chuuya loves you protectively.

every single thing chuuya held dear bid farewell to this universe—the flags, detective murase and other more—and due to that, he often carried an lingering feeling of distress towards you. he consistently was worried at the thought of one day finding you plastered with ichor, eyes dull and lifeless.

he would often scold you whenever you would injure yourself, whether accidentally or not, it didn't matter, you would face strings of lecture from him. he's always swift to notice any sorts of wounds enveloping your skin.

he knew he was overdoing it, however, he couldn't contain himself, he was merely worried but he knew he was beginning to bother you thus he would attempt to reassure himself further to decrease his worriness.

୨♡୧ nikolai gogol

nikolai loves you like how icarus loves the sun.

icarus had always been curious about the sun, the radiant orb often emitted a vivid light for centuries, it shines brightly yet it was alone. he desired to feel it with the tip of his fingertips, to learn more about the coruscation in spite of all the warnings thus he soared up higher to take closer look was for what he yearned, to to caress the passion of his inquisitiveness.

nikolai loved you a little too much, a little too close. his love for you was similar to icarus's love, however, the only contrast was that nikolai oughted to distance himself to you whilst icarus longed to explore his desire more.

nikolai had always wished to be free from his emotions, going as far as to ruin his soul entirely until he is considered inhuman, yet there was one thing he couldn't withdraw himself; you.

he loathed it, his love towards you was vigorous and unerasable. he wanted to scrub off all the glimpses of fondness he felt for you, he detested it. he pined the uplift curl of your lips, your face, your voice, your touch off his mind. he wanted to be free from you, he knew better than anyone else that he was asking for too much, nevertheless, he had always been a man who desired for something beyond capable.

nikolai loves you so much, he wanted to pierce through the soft flesh of yours with a keen knife over and over again until your skin was tainted with crimson red and devoid of life, he coveted to render you entirely under the sod before you could scorch him fully just like how the sun burned icarus.

🧛 At first, he doesn't care, that he is fictional. It's not like he is walking around. Besides, right now he has no one, he can consider his friends.

🧛 But it changes, thanks to Aya. The girl is mesmerized by you and your world, and, after being appointed as Bram's 'guardian', she tried to show Bram, how wonderful your world is.

🧛 Slowly, Bram warm towards you. You don't seem bad. Besides, your emotions feel nice. Also, there is so much interesting in your world.

🧛 Like to watch videos with you and Aya. Sometimes, two of them watch something on their own.

🧛 Will try to find a way to get his body back and control his ability again. Because this ability will help you. He will give you an army of vampires, ready to serve you.

🧛 You are normal human. You are an interesting human. You treat someone like him is human. He will help to bring the human world to their knees for you.

Sigma

🃏 At first, Sigma is on the cross road. It's not like he is entirely human, so knowing that he is fictional, doesn't hit him as hard as the other characters. Bit, still, it hurts, to know, that he was created for someone else's entertainment. And the voice of Guiding Light. They were praising him. Lowing him. Did you try to trick him? Was it the same situation, as with Dostoevsky, three years ago?

🃏 No. It was different. You aren't fake. You were real. Not only that, but you liked him for simply existing. You liked him as he is. No need to use his ability or do something for you.

🃏 Sigma would observe your messages. To make sure, that people won't try to scam you.

🃏 One time, on The Internet, you were discussing with other people what would you do, if you had a chance to see Sigma in real life. Sigma was disgusted by some responses. But then, he heard you.

"I would give him a cookie and ask for a hug".

Congrats, Sigma is now as red as a tomato.

🃏 Sigma will memorize everything about you. He doesn't want to lose you. Near you, he has a scene of purpose.

🃏 His purpose - be in your life. To make you feel happy.

The same person has been trying to scam you for a while.

Sigma send the scam letter to Fyodor. He will help to deal with thief.

Parasite, that want to hurt you. Who wants to steal from you. He deserved to be punished.

Sigma looked at the Little Light, floating above him. One day, he will see the true you. One day, he will bask in your emotions. And he will give you a hug you want so much.

Nikolai Gogol

Fyodor Dostoevsky

🤡 Let's just say, after some time of internal conflict, reassuring words and conversations with other characters, Gogol will see you as the embodiment of freedom. A real person, who doesn't need to follow the plot and can do anything they want.

🤡 Gogol is one of the characters who became obsessed with you. He believes, that he will become free, if he stays near you.

🤡 Your influence broke the plot chains. Your influence make him realize, that he is fictional. Nikolai is grateful. He will do anything for you.

🤡 Like to watch videos with Circus performances with you. If you liked some magic tricks, will learn, how to do it.

🤡 He is perfectly sane, and knew, that killing is bad. But, for your sake, he will kill.

Fyodor Dostoevsky smirked. Nikolai Gogol and Sigma were standing near him.

Fyodor has found the scammer. Found him and post all his personal information for everyone to see.

And put a special virus on their phone. The one, that will connect his phone to the portal. The scammer will be the perfect lab rat for a testing.

Bright light.

Scammer was laying there. Bleeding, but alive. Fyodor Dostoevsky smirked. The next second, Gogol's hand grasp scammer's head.

Little Light were floating above them, as always. And his Perfect Guiding Light will stay perfect and safe.

The next day, BSD gang find the body of a scammer. Fyodor, Nikolai and Sigma didn't hide, that it was their doing. That they have tested the portal and protected Their Guiding Light.

"Aren't you afraid, that 'Kamui' will be angry at you doing things without an order?" mocks Dazai, looking at Fukuchi.

Sigma was first.

"I was working for Kamui for three years. Never heard anything good from him. And Guiding Light were nice to me. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

Then Gogol.

"He promised me freedom. He lied. But Guiding Light is there. They are my freedom. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

And then, Dostoevsky.

"Kamui promised the world without sin. He failed. But Perfect Guiding Light already live in sinless world. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

Fukuchi Ouchi knew, that he has lost to you.

🤎The worst experience for Dazai's darling would be without the doubt the moment the darker side that has always existed within reveals itself and the warm glimmer in his brown eyes disappears with it. You get to know Dazai merely as a goofy, silly but charming man at the beginning, a facade with which Dazai lures you like prey closer to his side. Until he reveals his fangs. Never forget that this man used to work for the Port Mafia and just because he has switched sides never meant that he really changed. The beast is still there and the moment he lets it out, you are doomed. Because that's when Dazai becomes the full package of a toxic boyfriend. He's manipulative, degrading, gaslights you and hurts you even physically as his warm behavior is replaced with a cold and sadistic attitude. Through all of this though, he never once lets you go. He only tightens his grip on you as he slowly lets you watch how your little life crumbles apart. If you have only him left to imprison you and look out for you, you should hopefully learn your lesson.

🤎Yes. Chances are very likely that his darling would break in the process of Dazai unleashing his other side. Dazai's feelings on such a thing are quite interesting though. On the one hand he feels a strong and dark urge to break you down and fix you himself if you should ever defy him or reject his love. He isn't afraid of punishing you for you to learn to not dare to disobey him even if he might feel guilty later on. A part of him doesn't want you to break down fully and make you lose grasp of who you are and what you are like though. He's afraid if that would ever happen. Dazai is already a broken man so even if your personality defies him, it's ultimately what he also fell in love with. Breaking you is never really his goal, it's more that he wants to bend your personality a bit here and there to make the relationship for the both of you easier If he'd ever fully break you to a shell of what you used to be though, he wouldn't know anymore what he should even do with himself. You are his light after all. If your light is gone, he's lost once again.

Yell-How do they react to their darling breaking down in front of them?

🤎There would only be very few circumstances where Dazai wouldn't show a reaction to your tears and your distraught and those are the moments where he is at his most scariest. Those are the moments in which he lets the monster take control that has always been lurking beneath his surface and then all your pain and your tears will be directly his doing as he mocks and humiliates you for it, his own heart broken in such moments because of you as he unleashes his bitterness and pain out on you. In every other scenario, Dazai will show a reaction to your sorrow and your despair by coddling you and comforting you. In general he really doesn't like seeing you sad and being given the chance to be the one to soothe you and help you with your pain is always taken by him. What better chance to worm his way into your heart and mind after all then by helping you when you're at your most vulnerable?

Zero-What are things that always make them snap? What would they never allow their darling to do?

🤎Dazai's worst fear is being left alone in this world so something that would cause him to crack very quickly is the danger of his darling being killed or seeing them getting severely hurt right in front of him. There is this short moment where his eyes grow dull and all emotions leave his face that makes him look more like a corpse than a living person before a crazed gleam appears in his eyes. Burning rage and indescribable pain take over him and almost blind him. Tears fall down his eyes and not even he himself is able to tell if the sounds spilling out of his lips are sobs or laughter. It's a raw moment where he isn't capable of putting on any facade and it is a terrifying sight to behold. His composure will never crumble faster than when he fears that you might leave him alone in this world where he is still lost after so many years of existing.

🤎This fear of being left alone by you extends to what he would never allow you to do. To leave him. Dazai will never let you leave him all alone. You are not allowed to die. At least not without him. If you would ever take yourself away from him, he would completely lose hold of who he is and would only remain as a broken husk of something that never felt complete to being with. As ironic as it may sound, he would never allow you to take your own life to escape from this world but especially not from him. If you desire to leave this world, if you ever feel like you can't hold on anymore, don't do anything without him. Let him try to console and fix you or let him join you in the worst case in your final moments so that both of you can die as lovers together. But do not think that you have any autonomy to ever make such a decision by yourself!

Fyodor Dostoevsky

Nightmare-What would be the worst experience for their darling? Would they break?

🍎Honestly, just being Fyodor's darling is the worst experience one could ever ask for because of his twisted ideology. Differently from Dazai, Fyodor doesn't have two sides within him. There has always ever been one side of his and you'll experience the true terror of that long before you are even aware of his existence. Fyodor sees himself above the sinful nature of humans, as someone chosen from the lord to cleanse this world of impurity. Even his darling is seen as part of the lost souls of humans and their foolish greed, only that you threaten to drag him down with you into hell. Sin has always been sweet for humans and he realizes that in your presence as you tempt and entice him. He desires you yet won't let your stained presence be his downfall. So he claims you, punishes you for the fact that he yearns for you so much and takes you for himself. Little mouse, let him cleanse you of from your filthy life.

🍎You will be broken because that is Fyodor's goal. No matter how hard you may try of your own accord, you can never be truly free from the sins of humans. On your own you can never reach a pure level and no other human can help you with it either. but Fyodor is different. He can help you, he needs to help you. How else could he ever let you be in his presence otherwise? Sinning is part of your nature and personality so he takes the cruel step of breaking and re-shaping you and by doing so, freeing you of all of your wrongdoings. If you're empty, he can help you to be reborn. With Fyodor you never stand a chance to remain as you are, his cruel and twisted ideology of how to save you would never allow you to stay as you are.

Trauma-How would they act when at their lowest and most neediest point/when they nearly lost their darling?

🍎Fyodor has never been someone who would ever reveal his weakness to anyone. He's a man who would express never much distraught or despair to anyone, not even to his darling who he keeps close yet simultanously away from his heart. He wouldn't allow you to see him in such a vulnerable state. But he keeps you close. Closer to his body than most of the time if he should ever cave in to his own vulnerability as his grip around you literally and metaphorically tightens. You're never allowed to leave his sight in such moments as his own glowing eyes never stray away from you and hands caress gently the shape of your face, embedding everything about you in his mind so that he can never forget about you. Not your sweet and broken eyes nor your enchanting voice.

Yell-How do they react to their darling breaking down in front of them?

🍎You only ever break down because of him. From the very moment you've snatched his heart away, he has made it his goal to break you and ruin you. He has been watching your mental breakdown, your panic, the fear and the despair all for so long and it has always brought an serene smile to his face. You deserve it. You deserve all the pain as he delivers God's punishment to you. Seeing your tears right in front of you though as soon as you have been abducted is even more enrapturing than he could have imagined as all the agony and anguish you go through because of him only ever brings one word to his mind. Beautiful. You look beautiful as you suffer for your sinful nature and slowly but surely give in, giving him the chance to give you your salvation. As the first cracks appear, his touches slowly grow more comforting and his words more soothing. Don't resist. Let him save you.

Zero-What are things that always make them snap? What would they never allow their darling to do?

🍎He can never allow anyone taking you away from him. Differently from Dazai though, his primary fear in such a case isn't even that you might be killed. It is that someone might taint you and ruin you again. He could never allow his partner to be part of the common and vulgar crowd. You need to be pure and free of sin and unfortunately sin is a disease shared among humans. If you were ever to escape his grasp and spend time among others, your pureness would slowly be tainted by their ways. What your broken mind would have recognized as help before Fyodor shapened you to someone else is viewed as a crime, a sin so large that not even death could ever save their soul. How dare they ruin something pure after all? How dare they to drag you down to their cheap and unworthy level where you are not meant to be? How dare they, defying his work and spoiling you to be unworthy of his love once again? Don't worry though, he will save you again and again.

🍎I already talked about it but something he could never allow you is to let you be you. His own righteousness has already been putrefied by allowing his heart to be infected with you. So the only path left for him to save him from falling victim to sin as well is by cleansing you of everything that would have made you unworthy and dirty otherwise. You shouldn't be like the rest of humanity. Fyodor won't allow you to be like them. Not now that his heart has festered with an obsession for you. You have to change, you have to be punished or otherwise he could never have you, love you, own you. You will never know a peaceful day from then on again as he has made the decision to change you, to turn you into someone he can keep and cherish without succumbing to his own sin. To make this forbidden love possible, he will shape you into someone he can allow himself to treasure.

Jouno Saigiku

Nightmare-What would be the worst experience for their darling? Would they break?

♦️There are quite a few things that can and will go terribly wrong as his darling. I think what would be worst is Jouno's heightened senses as a compensation for his inability to see. You can never keep a secret from him as your heartbeat, your breath and even your blood flow will betray you and this makes you vulnerable and metaphorically completely naked and completely exposed to this man. Since Jouno has a sadistic and violent personality of his own, he tends to use your inability to defend yourself mentally from him to shamelessly degrade, humiliate and bully you whenever he sees fit. His heightened abilities that make him more sensitive to his surroundings additionally mean that he doesn't do well with strong emotions since they overwhelm him more than others so if his s/o is very emotional, that also means that they can expect little to no comfort and instead major annoyance from his side due to their emotions.

♦️Chances are that he might break his darling but intially Jouno doesn't seem to worry about this possibility or perhaps he never considers it for long anyways. It isn't fully his intention as he does so but he doesn't seem to be bothered about it at first. He just tells himself that at least now he doesn't have to deal with your emotions and feelings anymore. Until the silence threatens to suffocate him. There is a growing feeling of unease that only festers more and more whenever he spends time with you. He realizes that he misses your quicker heartbeat, the way your breath would hitch and the sound of your voice conveying your emotions always so perfectly. Instead your heartbeat...Instead the very sound of you sounds dull and lifeless, an empty shell with a body that only functions to keep you clinically alive is all he is left with. Unwillingness to admit his own mistake soon turn into slight despair as his touches and his words grow tender. Please...just give him something. Your emptiness is deafening.

Trauma-How would they act when at their lowest and most neediest point/when they nearly lost their darling?

♦️Jouno has problems opening up to his darling. Vulnerability and weakness have never been pleasures he was able to enjoy in his life to the point where those mere two words sound foreign to him. He, the one who can so easily sense when others around him are feeling low, is unable to do as everyone else. But he takes pride in that. He doesn't want to be viewed as weak, he has to be the strong savior for people after all. So letting his guard down around you whenever something manages to shake him to his core is a strange feeling that leaves him irritated due to the sheer vulnerability. He doesn't even know what he wants to do with you whenever he reaches such a point but he just knows that he wants to be with you. That makes everything always a bit awkward between the two of you as he is left to figure out what to do now whilst you are constantly on edge the entire time he is in your room, fully aware that he can hear it.

Yell-How do they react to their darling breaking down in front of them?

♦️Most of the time he is reacting quite insensitive. As I mentioned, he doesn't do well with overly strong emotions since his heightened senses make him experience it all so much more enhanced than everyone else and it annoys and irritates him. You can't expect much besides sharp words from him as he mocks you for your own emotional breakdown that cut deep into your already crumbling heart and make everything even worse. Eventually sadistic fun turns into annoyance though as your emotions give him a headache and he becomes mean and degrades and humiliates you through cruel and harsh insults. Until he just leaves you, done with your bullshit. If he actually attempts to be nicer and try to comfort you, he probably still ends up somehow saying something rude as his annoyed temper still breaks through even if he tries to prevent it.

Zero-What are things that always make them snap? What would they never allow their darling to do?

♦️He absolutely despises it when someone tries to use you to get under his skin. In which way and form that is doesn't matter as it will be in either case a huge success in making him lose his supposed composure as his fierce temper and his violent tendencies break through his composed facade. He loathes it when someone knows that you are his weak spot and takes advantage of that. It is already confusing and frustrating enough for him to navigate through all the emotions he stuffs away inside of him, all caused by you. He can't have it getting even worse by anyone doing as much as putting your name in their mouth in an attempt to win against him or to distract him without him feeling the intense need to strangle that person or cut their tongue off so that they can never speak your name again. He can't have people targeting his weak spot so in order to prevent that, he isolates you from the world.

♦️He doesn't enjoy disobedience. As he knows that you are his only weakness that could probably make him lose all of his composure, he feels an intense need to control you. Knowing where you are and with whom you are but especially knowing that you are obedient to him gives him a bit more security to hold onto his composure. He refuses to let you use his own emotions for you against him as much as he won't allow anyone else to do this. A little bit of stubbornness might be amusing but know when to stop and never dare to push your boundaries. You will be punished otherwise and Jouno isn't afraid of being rough on you either if you are too daring in defying him. He's only doing this for your own protection after all.

Sigma

Nightmare-What would be the worst experience for their darling? Would they break?

☁️Sigma's sheer dependence on his darling would probably be the worst part about having him be the one obsessed with you. He cannot imagine being without you because his whole identity and existence is dependent on you. He was created without any chance to figure out who or what he even is, stranded without any purpose. So he fills the void, the empty shell he is, by having you. You give him purpose, you help him figuring out what he is, who he is and why he is and that makes you so much more precious than all the riches he has in the Sky Casino. Sigma can't exist without you as you are his existence and as sweet and nice he tries to be, aware of your feelings about being isolated and essentially put in a golden cage high in the sky, he just can't help it. He needs you and it's this overbearing and dependent behavior that shackles you down and nearly smothers you at times.

☁️I think the problem with Sigma is that this experience isn't limited to a certain time. It is there the whole time and therefore sucks the energy slowly and constantly out of you if you can't learn to adjust and accept it. It's draining and tiring and will slowly seep the life out of you. Sigma on the other hand can't let that happen. If you lose yourself after all, he has nothing left. If you would turn into a hollow husk, he would have failed in the only purpose he ever had: You. And because he is so incredibly observant and obsessed around you, he quickly notices any shift in behavior around you. He knows that your mental health may suffer but at the same time he is unable to let you leave. So he tries to help you in any way he can but ultimately that only makes him even worse. It's a never-ending cycle.

Trauma-How would they act when at their lowest and most neediest point/when they nearly lost their darling?

☁️You can feel every crevice of his body clinging to you, his palms sweaty and his breath uneven and jittery. If both of you wouldn't be wearing any clothes, you're sure that he would probably melt together with you because it honestly feels like that is what he is trying to do. Sigma is already normally very dependent and tries to spend as much time with you as he can whilst also continuing to be the host of his casino. Yet he is prone to a meltdown for sometimes no apparent reason at all and with the ever-growing tightness in his chest, he escapes always to the only person he feels safe and alive around. That's only you. He usually just clings as long to you until he feels more stable about his whole existence again before he hesitantly leaves you again. If there is a risk of you being targeted or if he is just in a generally bad mental state, the security around you is tightened even more as he comes and visits you multiple times even in between his work for short cuddle sessions to be able to keep going.

Yell-How do they react to their darling breaking down in front of them?

☁️He's only that far away from breaking down and panicking with you yet he tries to cling to the last bit of composure he has. You need him right now after all. He can't mess this up. He reacts so incredibly sensitive to your emotions but differently from Jouno who would get annoyed and even slightly mad with you if you should crumble in front of him, Sigma just gets overwhelmed to the point where he feels his own heart threatening to jump out of his chest. Your despair causes him immense stress and anxiety because he knows that he has to fix it but is also always so terrified that he will mess up. In a way he sees it even as part of his purpose and responsibility to look out for you and take care for you but that makes everything only more stressful for him because he's so scared that he will mess up and that he just won't be enough. Even if he is pushed over the edge though, he doesn't leave you. Instead he just panics with you together.

Zero-What are things that always make them snap? What would they never allow their darling to do?

☁️He would never allow someone else to take you away from him. He just can't effort to lose you because your loss is equal with losing himself too. Everything he has somewhat established has only been because of you as his entire purpose and his reason for existence is only found when he is in your presence. Partially he knows that what he is doing to you only causes you grief and sorrow but he doesn't want to be left alone anymore in a world he doesn't understand and in which he just suddenly appeared one day. It is a determination laced with sadness even if someone has good intentions of freeing you but it is an iron will nevertheless. No one will take you away from him and even the mere mention of it is enough to make his heart drop to his stomach and do intense research on whoever made this remark to him.

☁️In the same manner that he would never let anyone else take you away from him, you aren't allowed to leave him either. Honestly, even if you hate and despise him, he could manage somehow. He would be hugely unstable and anxious but he could go on with his life anyways because you're still in it. If you're completely gone from his life though, Sigma feels like a blind man who is left stumbling around aimlessly all by himself. Nothing could kill him more than the hollowness that would grow and fester inside of him if you would be gone from his life. Even if you should hate and despise him and even if you would shatter his heart to pieces and make him suffer everyday, the pain would still be proof that he exists. It's better than the nothingness and the meaninglessness that would befall him if you wouldn't be within his reach. Please, he's begging you! Don't leave him!

Ok no let me explain you a thing.

I can't take it. I literally can't take this moment without making a sound somewhere in the back of my throat. It's the cutest thing ever and it's this frame here that makes it.

Look, I know this is Wan. I know Wan isn't really canon and this is the preschool episode so it's even less so. But there's something in here that is an absolutely canon thing Akutagawa does.

The scene starts off with Akutagawa's typical reverence and excitement that Dazai is sitting near him. Nothing particularly notable there. But then Dazai gets excited by what's going on and Akutagawa gives him this look and I just can't take it man.

Because that's a genuinely fond look. He's happy for him. He's happy Dazai is enjoying himself.

And that's not just a Wan thing. He says along those lines to Kyouka in one of my all-time favourite BSD scenes in general.

It just. I just have a lot of feelings about that. This is a guy who, we know from Heartless Cur and the beginning of Beast, has very little in the way of emotion - but when he does feel, it's rather all-encompassing, even overwhelmingly strong. Things like rage and desperation. It's raw survival instinct.

But then he has. This too.

Here's the thing. In the preschool chapter, silly as it is, Dazai is still fixated on suicide. He has the noose, just doesn't speak about it openly. So, it's probably quite rare that Dazai shows genuine enjoyment the way he did here - and that's worth that small smile.

In the main universe, Akutagawa remembers how Kyouka hated herself to the point of asking to be killed, then sees how fierce she is about defending her new life and self, and decides that he's glad for her.

It really means something to me that one of the very few relational emotions he allows himself to feel is happiness and pride on others' behalf.

It roots itself less in compassion or happiness itself and more in a sense of respect... but remember that Akutagawa hardly gives his respect easily. He gives his respect only to those he considers strong, and in nearly every battle, he finds himself disappointed. What he wants is kind of contradictory - he wants a worthy opponent, so someone who poses a strong challenge to him to prove his own worth as one who will never be weak again... and yet, when they lose against him, he's often disappointed they did not succeed or fight harder, and looks down on them.

Atsushi's motive, or what he initially thinks his motive is, is disappointing to him at first - Akutagawa believes he is trying to prove himself as worthy of living through someone else's acceptance and berates him for it. But that's... exactly what he has been doing. Later on, he continues to question Atsushi for his motives, in yet another of one of my favourite scenes.

He asks him over and over - "why?" And is not satisfied until Atsushi reveals that he's also looking to get rid of the shadow of the orphanage director that follows him like a haunting - that trauma? All that pain thrown in his face? He is fighting to overcome it. He is fighting via proof and change because Atsushi wants to live, and to not have to feel ashamed of that. And that's what it took for Akutagawa to trust him and respect him enough to transfer Rashoumon to him.

I think, on some level, Akutagawa is invested in seeing whether Atsushi will succeed in this. And I think, in spite of everything between them, he will be glad for him if he does.

I just really love this aspect to his character, because while he searches for strength in violence and power and physical skill, it means on a deeper level, he actually sees joy and resistance in the face of despair as true strength that's worth acknowledging.

I want him so badly to accept that as true strength within himself in the main timeline.

I also love it because Beast confirms that Akutagawa would do anything for his sister and I am now free to imagine Gin telling her brother all the things she was learning and how she was slowly connecting to the Black Lizard and feeling overwhelming pride for her but not really expressing that but Gin knowing that's how he felt regardless, anyways that is all

Is this even coherent anymore? Oh well.

uhh i kept most of these vague platonic/romantic wise but steinbeck's is kinda implied to be a pining situation? UM i couldnt help myself

Dazai’s hand finds itself brushing against the top of your head as the criminal is carried away. He can tell you’re emotional for having solved such a difficult case, but you did so well. Giving your head a few gentle pats, he watches as your shoulders begin to shake. “You did well.” he murmurs as you turn and bury your face into his chest, searching desperately for comfort that Dazai isn’t quite able to give wholeheartedly.

Kunikida is in your debt. He realizes this when you shoved him aside, quite literally taking a bullet for him. He thanks the stars above that it only grazed your arm as he quickly takes out the enemy, the fear in his veins making him even more efficient than usual. Once the threat has been eliminated, he’s by your side in a second, pulling you into his chest and resting his head on your head. “You’re okay. You’re going to be okay.”

Steinbeck likes watching you tend to your plants. You never turn your head his way while you work, always focused. Leaning against the doorway to your room, he watches. He seems to be doing that a lot lately. There’s a soft feeling that wells up in his chest that he isn’t quite ready to explore yet, but someday. Someday. He promises himself that someday, he’ll brave the unknown for you again.

Fitzgerald, the normally dismissive boss, was obviously at his wit's end. Why do I think this scene:

Is a horrible adaptation from this manga panel:

Dialogue

That's an important thing to consider, because we have a case of almost opposite messages

In the anime it is «That's right, what of it?»

It's a confirmation of what Yosano is asking to Ougai, almost immediately when she spoke to him. First point to consider

He's answering "yes" in other way, he's basically doing an affirmation of what Yosano said. While also telling her indirectly that he doesn't care and doesn't feel bad about it using a question, we have an affirmation and a question in the same sentence

We can interpret that easily because everything points to that option

«What you say is correct, why should I care?»

But in the manga it is complete different

We have «... Even if that's true, so what?»

It's a question in all the dialogue I'm analyzing, being that the first difference

He takes a pause, takes his moment to think of an answer and then he speaks, those details are important differences because it shows you how different they are

His questions is related to a possibility. In other way to say what Mori said would be «Even if what you say is true, what does it matter?»

We can't do an affirmation/confirmation if he cares or not, because what Ougai says makes us do multiple interpretations based in Yosano's reaction, his facial expression and character in general since the intention isn't 100% clear... Basically doing theories and more theories because everybody has their perspectives and own ways to interpret what happened there

Expression and feelings related

In the anime we can say Mori speaks self-confidently as if he were too superior to the others

Acting like that, he doesn't care, he doesn't even look at here

While he's just acting calm, a little grumpy maybe, fixing his clothes... The anime indicates that he cares so little about what she says that he does something else at the same time

I could add that he even looks disgusted and annoyed but I'm horrible at socializing and reading emotions-

And the scene is too different from the manga that he has his eyes closed in all the dialogue while in the manga they are open

In the manga we can't guess emotions at all since Ougai looks extremely cold! Those dark eyes, that expression, his words of not caring about the consequences, here we can do a confirmation about it

Something to add is that we can see Yosano's reaction, because in the anime we lost all of those expressions that it's so sad :(

Ougai in the manga is more cold, less expressive, gives more things to leave many to imagination

How does Mori's character work?

It's not like saying «Mori in the plot works in a specific way»... But a «Mori has this behavior that repeats a lot»

He acts when necessary, speaks and gives orders when he considers necessary, he's a rational character that is thinking most of the time (to not say all the time)

The fact is that, when he doesn't gives orders... He says things that are left to interpretation since he doesn't explain them deeply

Things that actually share the real life author, and we have seen it in many times in the manga that, since Ougai doesn't explain anything, sometimes it feels like he says something that doesn't make sense or contradicts himself

We can't deny that he's smart enough to understand, know and comprehend the impact of his words

Mori is a genius, is a fact that we can't deny... It's just that we don't compare him too much with Dazai, Ranpo and Fyodor, specially when they have more time that “we can see them being intelligent”

But if it counts as a proof... Mori was steps forward compared to Dazai, just one specific time, that Dazai ended up

Mori knows, and we have to agree that Mori is capable to do many things

Why do I say it reflects Mori's character?

The scene has specific things... That I will explain

✓Pause → The detail of Mori taking his time to think reflects his rational side that doesn't get carried away by his emotions when acting, something that we see in him a lot, that he knows what he does, is aware of this and tries to make it all work out in his "somewhat dirty way of playing"

✓Dark eyes → A fact that we forget is we don't know how he ended up being like that. He's cold He can be cold when necessary, and we can't read Mori at 100%, no matter how hard we try is like trying to understand a void that you can't see their begining and end

✓Even if that's true, so what? → Both character and author: Interpretation. The author was characterized by playing with perspectives, showing different ones, leaving things to interpretation and letting the reader draw his own conclusions from what he read... Something that is also seen in the character. You have to draw conclusions from how he acts and talks, it's hard to understand him 100%, he makes people have so many different perspectives towards him that matches his author. Ougai plays with the perspectives and emotions of the rest, the author to tell stories to the people around him, the character to act and keep on living in his world with all the danger around him, and around his organization

Atsushi’s hands trembled as he waited for the phone to be answered. He hoped Dazai-san would answer. Atsushi had seen him ignore phone calls often – though he usually picked up for Atsushi (specifically after he hadn’t picked up once when Atsushi had gotten kidnapped (again); though Atsushi hadn’t blamed him because it was 4 am at the time, and Dazai had been, for once, asleep). But Atsushi had watched as Dazai-san hung up (on numbers he had saved), watched them ring (on numbers he was clearly familiar with but were not saved), or turned on his airplane mode. Dazai really avoided phone calls.

Atsushi had a general sense of hope that Dazai wouldn’t ignore him – but he wasn’t calling from his own phone. He didn’t even know where it was.

Instead, Atsushi was in a phone booth; the only light he had was the pale yellow of the streetlight. No one was out and about, all the buildings around him were dark and vacant. Atsushi didn’t know where he was.

He didn’t know how he’d gotten here.

Had he been kidnapped? He couldn’t remember. The last thing he remembered was walking home after work. If he’d been kidnapped perhaps his memory had been wiped. Still, even if it was nice to try and think of a logical solution, it did not settle the eerie unease he felt.

Especially since he didn’t feel injured. Perhaps Byakko had overtaken… but his clothes were unharmed minus a few dirt stains here and there. He looked… he felt…

He hoped Dazai-san picked up.

He looked around, wishing he could recognize something, anything – just a trigger. Something that would bring back…

“‘ello?” an achingly familiar voice mumbled, half asleep. Atsushi almost sobbed in relief.

“Da-Dazai-san?”

A pause and some shuffling.

“Atsushi? What number is this? Why aren’t you calling from your phone?” Atsushi felt a sob slip past his lips. His shaking wavered at Dazai’s voice though.

“Atsushi?” Dazai sounded really uncomfortable. If Atsushi had had the energy to think about it, he’d laugh at Dazai’s inability to deal with emotions.

“Daz-Dazai-san,” he wailed, not being able to push all the words and worries he had out in the open.

He felt like a child.

“Atsushi? What’s wrong? Did something happen?”

“I-I,” he took in a deep breath before forcing himself to continue, “I don't know-know whe-re I am– I- I ca-can’t re-member anything.”

There was a pause again and then shuffling.

“Ah, I see,” Dazai said, voice suddenly light. “Atsushi-kun got lost!”

Atsushi sniffled miserably.

“And needs his big, great, strong mentor to come rescue him!”

Even through his tears, Atsushi snorted. He wiped at his eyes – his hands weren’t shaking anymore.

“Do you recognize any buildings?”

Atsushi shook his head, remembered himself, and mumbled ‘no’.

“That’s fine,” Dazai continued, “for an amazing mentor– no for an amazing beam of existence such as myself– this is no challenge! Can you read any signs? On buildings or on the street?”

That, Atsushi could do.

He looked around, wiped his eyes again so his vision wouldn’t be tear-blurry, and called for Byakko’s vision just in case. He muttered off any sign he could catch until Dazai hummed and said he was on his way.

“You know wh-where I’m at?” Atsushi asked.

“Yeah,” Dazai said, absentmindedly, “I tried to sell Kunikida-kun coke there.”

He hung up before Atsushi could ask.

Atsushi squatted down, resting his arms and head on his knees. He was trying to calm himself before Dazai showed up. Though he’d pulled from Byakko again, transforming his ears, to make sense of any noise that could indicate Dazai.

When Dazai came, after half an hour or perhaps an hour, or perhaps even 10 minutes, Atsushi sent him a wobbly smile. He didn’t offer anything else and Dazai didn’t ask. Not about why he was there or why he was curled up on the seat during the car ride.

Nor did he comment on Atsushi’s grip on his jacket as they left the car.

He simply let Atsushi follow him back to his own apartment as if it was a perfectly normal thing for him to do.

The next day, when he cautiously approached Ranpo, hoping to get some insight into his potential kidnapping and memory loss, he was met with strangely sad green eyes as Ranpo assured him that he hadn’t been kidnapped at all. Instead, Ranpo said, he should go see Yosano.

He lingered at her door but shrugged it off. He had probably transformed. Yeah, that was it. He just needed to focus more.

Ranpo stared at him as he walked back to his desk, but did not say anything.

When he sat down, Dazai reached one long leg over to tap his foot but also did not say anything.

Atsushi ignored it for a week.

Then he found himself blinking around in a vaguely familiar alleyway, trying to figure out what had happened. He looked around, trying to remember how he’d gotten here. He scrunched his eyes shut, desperately trying to remember his last memories but it was all a blank from him leaving his apartment in the morning.

Atsushi shuddered, trying to calm himself.

This was okay.

It was probably Byakko. He just needed to breathe, he needed to calm down.

Breathe.

Breathe…

Just breathe-

“Weretiger?”

Atsushi spun around, hands flinging into a defense position. He was greeted by yellow hair.

“H-Higuchi?” he blinked, taking in the confused frown on his old attacker’s face.

“What are you doing in mafia territory?” she asked, looking around cautiously, perhaps checking if he was alone. For a moment he pondered if she was here on purpose… was it a coincidence? The mafia had tried to capture him before. Perhaps they’d done it again. Perhaps they’d been behind the other day too… but the alliance… would they risk it?

Before he could work himself up though, Higuchi’s name was called by a voice that should have filled Atsushi with dread.

Instead, though, it washed over him in relief, in familiarity. He didn’t know Higuchi well. Only meeting her when Akutagawa was there or that memorable time they had stalked Gin.

But Akutagawa… He was familiar. He’d know where Atsushi was. He’d-

“Jinko?” Akutagawa scowled at him. His coat rippled. Atsushi almost sobbed, half delirious in relief, half upset at himself for somehow associating Akutagawa with safety.

Rashomon reached out but faltered as Akutagawa (and Higuchi) stared at him with wide eyes.

“Um… are you crying?” Higuchi asked tentatively. She shifted awkwardly.

“Ak-Akutagawa,” Atsushi cried out, reaching up to pat his eyes dry and getting frustrated when more tears spilled.

Akutagawa, for his part, was looking around the alley, looking as if his skin was being peeled off and clearly looking to run away.

If he ran away though, Atsushi would lose his sense of familiarity, his grounding. He stumbled forward. Scared, an expression Atsushi had never seen on him before, Akutagawa stepped back.

Akutagawa had, embarrassingly, seen Atsushi cry before. So his disturbed act was a little confusing. Usually, he’d scoff at him.

Though perhaps Atsushi looking at him like he was his only lifeline was what had him freaked out. Atsushi shuffled forward. Akutagawa took another step back. Atsushi shuffled forward more, reaching a trembling hand to grip at Akutagawa’s coat. Akutagawa turned wild eyes at Higuchi who looked just as lost.

“Ple-please, tak-take me,” Atsushi sniffled again, “...home.” Back at the agency, where he was safe, and not confused. Where it was familiar and warm. Where he should’ve talked to Yosano but didn’t and ended up here.

He couldn’t remember-

“Uh,” Akutagawa said, reaching out a hand, stopping mid-way, and then continuing to awkwardly pat at Atsushi’s hand, perhaps subtly telling him to let the fuck go, “sure?”

“I’ll take care of the rest… I mean we’re almost done since Senpai was so quick!” Higuchi said, lacking her usual bright tone, instead sounding awkward and as if she was covering up that awkwardness.

Atsushi nodded miserably and leaned forward, burying his head in Akutagawa’s coat, trying to keep his focus on his very real, tangible form and not the confusion in his head. Akutagawa coughed.

Higuchi coughed too. Then Atsushi listened to her footsteps leaving, pausing every now and then, but continuing forward anyway.

“Jinko…” Akutagawa coughed again, “Release me, you fool.”

It seemed his confusion had left. And his Akutagawa-ness had come back.

“No,” Atsushi said. Akutagawa reached out both arms and grabbed his shoulders to push him back. Atsushi struggled for a second, before grabbing his wrist. Akutagawa glared at him. Atsushi stared at him.

Akutagawa turned around and started to stomp away, his wrist still in Atsushi’s grasp.

Atsushi stumbled over his feet, half walking and half running to keep up. However, Akutagawa’s quick pace worked in his favor as they arrived at the familiar bricked building in no time. Akutagawa stood in front of the door of the building. Atsushi stood next to him. Akutagawa gestured to the door. Atsushi stared at him.

“Walk.” Akutagawa said through gritted teeth, “Through.”

But…

But Atsushi had just been outside these doors last time… he’d gotten out, and walked to his apartment… and then it had been night and he’d been sobbing in a payphone booth, hoping Dazai would come soon.

Atsushi’s grip tightened. Akutagawa glared at him as if he was everything wrong in the world, but opened the door and walked in, anyway. Atsushi’s grip tightened more, causing Akutagawa, who was about to stop walking in the cafe, to falter for a second before he continued on. Up the stairs, through the hallway… and in front of the doors.

Akutagawa opened the door, ripped his wrist out of Atsushi's grip, and pushed him in.

He was greeted by looks of relief.

“Atsushi…” Kyouka’s voice came. He turned towards her. She was looking at him with concern, glancing at where Akutagawa had stood only seconds ago.

“I’m-I’m fine,” Atsushi tried to smile. Her frown deepened. “I, uh, I got lost.”

“Lost?” Junichiro chimed in, looking equally confused and relieved.

“Yeah… uh…” He didn’t have to make up an excuse as Naomi spoke up.

“I see,” she said, giving him a shaky smile that betrayed her own worries, “we never really gave you a proper tour of Yokohama. How silly of us!”

Kunikida, who had been looking between him and Ranpo, coughed once. “Yes, that was forgetful of us. I will add it to our schedule.”

Like that the tension…. Well, it didn’t break. It still lingered. But it seemed everyone was willing to give him space. He appreciated it. He needed to work up the courage to tell Yosano that he… that something was happening.

He hadn’t been kidnapped…

He hadn’t transformed… it was hard for the tiger to overtake in the middle of the day, like today.

So…

It wasn’t as if Atsushi’s memory was strong. Heck, he hadn’t even remembered he’d killed someone before. At least until Shibusawa had somehow come back to life and had to be killed again. But that had been a traumatic experience and everyone had said it was probably an subconscious attempt to bury it because he couldn’t emotionally or mentally handle it at the time. But what was traumatic about walking?

Atsushi hesitantly walked towards Yosano’s office.

Chuuya felt the hold on his sleeve before he really registered why he'd stopped. Why everything had stopped. Why his vision felt surreal, like he was watching himself from five feet away, Dazai's grip on his shirt. He could hear his own breaths mixed with Dazai's, ragged and unnervingly panicked.

Dazai didn't- Dazai didn't panic. He bitched and moaned and threw on one callous glance over another instead of actually feeling any damn emotion.

Except that was a fucking lie.

Dazai, standing over a corpse with a gun in his hand, grin manic as he shot round after round at a dead man. Dazai, hair and clothes caught by the harsh winds as he told Chuuya they'd never know if Chuuya was human or not. Dazai staring at him from a hospital bed, expression so stupid that Chuuya wanted to strangle him. Telling Chuuya he didn't realize the bomb had not been an ability. Osamu Dazai, screwing up for once, and not knowing what to do with himself.

Chuuya didn't want to turn around. Didn't want to know what he'd see in a face that was always so reliably apathetic. Not when that voice, one full of desperation and anguish, had come out of Dazai's mouth.

He turned around anyway.

Dazai had found Chuuya's sleeve to be the most fascinating thing in the room, fiddling with the threads of his sweater, trying to pull them out one by one. Chuuya refrained from tugging it away. "What."

"Ah," Dazai's smile was small and pained, still directed at the sweater. "I didn't actually come here just to rearrange Chuuya's kitchen."

"Uh huh."

"I also came here to mess up your books!"

"..."

"And draw on your paperwork, of course."

"..."

"And replace your shampoo with ketchup."

"Dazai."

"Of course, then Chuuya had to show up early and ruin everything. Typical of him."

Dazai blinked up at him with wide, innocent eyes. but in all seriousness, Nikolai’s Omega is going to have to be all in from the moment they meet. Nikolai is the same. I get the sense that he lives in a very black-or-white world with little to no greys. If you are down for this man, the first couple of words out of your mouth need to be, “Wow,” followed by, “I need to be your Omega.” Otherwise he’s not going to listen to you and just keep rambling about birds and free will, then murder you. This will give him a moment’s pause, where you will get to plead your case on why you should be his Omega or appeal to his Alpha. Make it good. Nikolai will treat it like a game show and weigh the pros and cons.

If you manage to somehow make him blush, through complimenting his… techniques or get slick at his scent, Nikolai will cut the game short and whisk you away to the nearest bed to claim and knot you immediately. You aren’t getting away after that.

He’d also do very well with an Omega who is more straightforward. Being Fyodor’s second hand can be a bit… complex sometimes, and it definitely wears on him more than he lets on. I see Nikolai having his own twisted logic and Fyodor’s style of being dismissive, forcing his own games to played, and being so underhanded sometimes tires Gogol, regardless of how much he admires Fyodor. He wants to have his riddles untangled. He wants to just be told the truth to his face. An Omega who is blunt will get very far with him. He’d constantly bug you and try to make you smile or laugh. He would commit disgusting crimes in front of you just to see a shocked look on your face. He tie you up and force you to solve his puzzles before a timer runs out just to smell your scent mix with fear. He wants to make you show your emotions. He would love that challenge. Even if you despise him, he’ll still try to claim you. If that doesn’t work, there’s always stalking, kidnapping, and Stockholm syndrome. He can also be very manipulative.

In short, Nikolai will decide to claim you in a split second decision, if he feels like something about you appeals him. There’s no dating. At first.

Nikolai is a very clingy Alpha. Very clingy. I am on the verge of considering him a Yandere. Until he fully trusts you (which will be a while, consider he JUST MET YOU AND ALSO TRIED TO MURDER YOU) you’re gonna be on house arrest. By which I mean that you can go anywhere, it doesn’t really matter because he can find you no matter what, but you can’t talk to anyone. He will kill anyone who tries: Alpha, Omega, or Beta and apologize, lying to your face about them aiding your escape or whatever. He would think it hot if you encouraged him or ignored his actions (not him. his ACTIONS), wouldn’t really care of you scolded him or got angry. Just would shrug and remind you that you’re his Omega, his instincts want to protect you (lielielie- Nikolai is POSSESSIVE). And you better believe he’ll know. He will constantly have a portal open, watching you, ready to grab you at anytime. Not even cashiers are safe so it’s honestly better just to stay wherever he’s put you up and order whatever you need.

Yeah, your job? You’re gonna have to quit. Nikolai’s House Arrest extends to quite literally everyone. Get a new phone with no personal contacts. Make your family think you’ve died. Nikolai will even help you. But once you’ve fallen into his hands, you ARE his. He can amuse you, take care of you, he can be your everything, you don’t need anyone else.

After you’ve gain his trust (or the Stockholm syndrome is in full effect, whichever comes first), he’ll be a bit more lenient and let you out of his sight, but would still feel an awful amount of jealousy in his gut if he spies you talking to other people; God forbid it’s another Alpha. He’d lovebomb the hell out of you, then go and kill them when you’re sleeping off the 3 rounds he put you through. He’d really rather be the only one you talk to.

This Alpha loves to have you by him and would keep you there all the time if he could. He feels off when you aren’t by his side. Unfortunately, due to the nature of his ‘job,’ that’s not always the case. And if he knows there’s even a risk of danger, he’ll leave you in a safe place. Usually an extravagant hotel or a mansion he’s bought just for you in an undisclosed location. It’s usually filled with whatever your heart desires, desires you didn’t even know Nikolai knew about. If he’s just filming more propaganda or torturing, he’ll bring you along if you want. It won’t be pretty, but if you’re into that. Or if you just love him enough to want to do whatever makes him happy.

He would fuck you in the blood if you helped him or came on to him during that time. 100% turns him on seeing covered in the sticky, viscous liquid. Would compliment you on how “red is your color.” Nikolai loves an Omega who gets their hands dirty. Might even drive him into a rut.

Despite his occupation and image, when it comes to his Omega, Nikolai can act like a puppy for your love and affection, but it goes back and forward. You’re the only one (besides Fyodor, who sees every side of everyone) that usually sees Nikolai’s softer side. His ruts are another story. Without you, he was rather tame and usually just ignored his wants completely. Of course, he finds a release in other ways… usually by murder. Let’s just make that clear. He’s still quite blood thirsty. But with you…

He’s completely unhinged. Gives into his desires in the worst possible way, free will be damned when he has an Omega, his Omega, on his cock. He’s brutal, so be prepared. Let’s be honest here. How the hell did you even get in this scenario. Fyodor really isn’t one to take an Omega or even look for romantic interest in general, so being here is kinda a realm of extreme speculation. Why are you here? What is so extraordinary about you that led this man to you, first of all, and how do you get him to indulge in his most suppressed self? How do you keep him there long enough to get him to actually mate you? You have to really call him to get this far. You can’t be anyone normal. No lacky of his beliefs or regular person. He doesn’t care about that. You’re borderline his soulmate if you are.

If you do manage to actually get him to take an interest in you and not what you can do for him, not a political move or a piece to be played and discarded, you’re seriously in for it. Fyodor is not an easy Alpha to have.

He just barely ranks above Dazai because he can have his moments, but they’re usually pretty inauthentic and more of something he knows he’s expected to do as your Alpha; most of these moments are in public, but you might find him doing them when he’s running on autopilot too.

I’m not going to comment on how you got him to mate you because I honestly am at a loss for how that would even happen. He’s not one to do that, and feeling that urge, let alone acting on it, is something that he would never thought he’d do, even sadistically, to torture his worst enemies by taking their spoken for Omega, because it means he’s bound to someone. He’s now got someone he has to think about, not because he wants to, but because those fucking primal urges force him to. it’s a distraction to him and his goals.

if you match his intelligence, even with minute differences, he would rather see you as something to toy with. if you don’t, you’re something to be used. It’s an extremely difficult situation where you almost have to be playing him and catch him in a mood where the fact of that doesn’t piss him off too much that he immediately tries to kill you. Maybe more of an innocent game? Where you basically are only toying with him because you like him and want to be with him? Very Harley Quinn like.

Fyodor likes super submissive Omegas. And by “like,” I mean that it would almost be impossible for you to be a more pushy or dominant Omega because Fyodor has the whole power dynamic he likes (which is super unhealthy, dude, go 2 therapy) and refuses any other type of partner.
