Who wants a post about 🎶spirit phones??🎶
lol, j/k who doesn't want a post about spirit phones?
So, me and my kid have just hit the Advance Team filler, specifically #128, the first of the episodes about the Whistle Hollow, and it gave us some really good looks at everyone's spirit phone, starting with Matsumoto's fantastically be-dazzled, magenta model. It looks a lot like a Motorola Razr or a Nokia 6133. I'm gonna assume she managed to get it in a premium color and then decorated it herself.
Tumblr media
Next, we see Hitsugaya's, which is not quite the same model, because Matsumoto's has the square external display, and his doesn't. Are they different model years, or does he have some sort of fancy captain model?
Tumblr media
I also think it's interesting that his display features an actual map (left), instead of this absolutely incomprehensible crap Rukia's phone gave her back during the Quincy Archer Hates You! Hollow Bait debacle (right).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the real reason I made this post because what the Hell is that, Yumichika??? There were lots of slider phones available at the time, but you didn't usually hold them vertically like that. Is it a T-Mobile Sidekick? (I had a friend who had one of these and it was so extra)
As far as I can tell, Ikkaku does not have a phone, Yumichika handles the telephony in the relationship.
Tumblr media
Renji is not in this filler episode for some reason, but we see his phone a few episodes later, in 136. It's pretty hard to see here, but there are some better shots of it back in the Bount Arc, and I think it's pretty clearly the same phone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looks pretty similar to Matsumoto's, but his has a light just below the external display that blinks and beeps to indicate Hollow activity. Also, it's lavender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rukia has already left for Soul Society at this point, but we got a good look at her phone in the Bount Arc, which appears to be the same one she had in the Agent of the Shinigami Arc, down to the Chappy charm on it.
It looks very similar to Renji's, including the blinky Hollow light. Hers seems to have a grid of dots below the light. I think Renji's may actually have that, too, but the animators were too busy lovingly drawing his tits and pretty braid to worry about air flow to his spirit phone battery. (I support your life choices, nameless Pierrot animator!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the interface to Rukia's phone, which is significantly different from Hitsugaya's.
Tumblr media
Normally, I would accuse Hitsugaya of having some older or cheaper model of spirit phone, but his actually looks significantly nicer than everyone else's (except Yumichika). It definitely looks like Rukia and Renji have the same model (I keep going back and forth over whether or not they are the same color. Rukia's def reads as grey to me and Renji's looks more lavender to me but idk. Maybe it's a trick of the lighting). Matsumoto has a similar, but not identical model. I feel like my takeaway from this is that shinigami have to buy their own phones-- Matsumoto splurged a little on color, Yumichika splurged a lot on rizz, and Rukia and Renji appear to be at the mercy of Byakuya's family plan. I feel like Hitsugaya didn't even have a phone before this and bought one expressly for this mission, which is why his is nicer than it would otherwise be.

do you happen to know why there’s a noticeable drop in animation quality in the Daffy vs. Speedy cartoons? I’m very curious
short answer: studio shutdowns, the theatrical industry on the decline thanks to TV, lower budgets, all of their main talent either gone or mentally checked out beyond belief
MUCH longer answer reaffirming the above points!: the WB studio had a bit of a troubled lifespan, and the falling of the dominos can be traced back to the early '50s (or hell even post-war, since there were Technicolor shortages that caused lengthy backlogs) with the first--keyword, FIRST!--studio shutdown in 1953. 3D was on a huge rise around that time, and Jack Warner believed it would be the new industry standard. so! the cartoon department was shut for a few months so they could figure out if they needed to convert and adapt to this new format. Lumber Jack-Rabbit was a bit of a test subject for this
but the 3D bubble was indeed a bubble, and so the studio eventually reopened a few months later. a lot of the shorts are colloquially divided by this time period: "pre-shutdown" and "post-shutdown". the quality difference wasn't as big for directors like Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng, as they still had their units intact, but it made a HUGE impact to Bob McKimson, who was the lowest in the studio hierarchy. he lost his entire unit and wasn't able to get any of his animators back, so he had to rebuild his entire unit from scratch (and in cases like The Hole Idea and most of Dime for Retire, animating entire cartoons himself.) his shorts likewise had the strictest budgets, and that's why you begin to really see a noticeable quality drop in his shorts
fast forward about a decade or so. everyone is getting older, a bit more disinterested, crews are being shuffled around and people are leaving. Carl Stalling retires in 1958, the same year as the musician's strike (which is why there are shorts from that year composed of stock tracks courtesy of John Seely), Milt Franklyn takes over for him until his death in 1962... theatrical cartoons are on their way out the door as TV is growing bigger and bigger. there's a clear decline, both for WB and the theatrical industry as a whole, which is why the Warner Bros studio shuts down for a final time in 1963.
this is where we get a little more relevant to the ask. Dave DePatie was the last exec in charge of the studio, assuming John Burton's role after he took over for Eddie Selzer, who retired in 1958. DePatie and Friz Freleng teamed up to start DePatie-Freleng Enterprises (DFE), and so they leased the old Warner Bros studio and were contracted to produce their cartoons from 1964-1967. this is around the time where the Speedy and Daffy team-ups start beginning in early 1965. Friz directed the first handful or so, but DFE was ALSO making their own, non LT related cartoons at the time, and rolling in the dough with their new creation of a certain Pink Panther. so, Friz as a director started investing his time into these non LT cartoons, leaving Bob McKimson to finish up the rest of his dirty work for him. McKimson's crew is still the weakest, his budgets are still the smallest, and McKimson himself was growing more and more checked out with the job. he had for awhile now, but the death of his wife in the '60s certainly seemed to kickstart that sort of disenfranchisement further. the cartoons are the most obligatory than they've ever been
but don't you worry! the downward spiral still continues! once DFE's contract was up and they moved to a new studio, WB decided to bring back production in-house. such enters the Seven-Arts era, lasting from 1967 to the studio's last gasp in late 1969. Alex Lovy of Walter Lantz fame is brought in as the main studio director, and this is when you begin to see the emergence of characters like Merlin the Magic Mouse, Cool Cat, etc. they were still doing the Daffys and Speedys, budgets still cheap as ever, but attempting to lean into the late '60s animation landscape. all of the other LT characters had been retired by this point, and 1968 would see the last short with any formal LT characters in it (so... Speedy and Daffy)
i also neglected to mention Rudy Larriva's involvement with Format Films. going back to the DFE era, the Format Films studio (known for doing the '60s Popeye TV shorts and The Alvin Show) were used as outsourcing to make a handful of Road Runner cartoons. if you've ever watched a Road Runner and thought "wow, this sucks!" then CONGRATS! you're likely watching one of the "Larriva Eleven".
anyhoo, Larriva/Format Films also worked on some Speedy and Daffys (and when i double checked which ones he did work on, i was surprised to only see 3??? i thought he directed way more), and they too are cheap and quick for the same reasons above
SO! there you have it! and i've been slagging on the Speedy and Daffy shorts a lot, and i can't say it's without good reason LOL. with how many there are and in such a short amount of time and how utterly monotonous they are (as well as a reminder of the integrity these characters USED to have), it's easy to really point to them as the worst of the worst. but, unfortunately, they're just a portion of the studio's continued decline as a whole. all of the shorts were getting cheap and dull and droll--it's (unfortunately) not like the Speedy and Daffys were super flat and awful while the studio was also making amazingly lush Road Runner shorts at the same time.
like MANY of the most popular theatrical cartoon series, WB had a very unfortunate decline that i think is just more apparent to see because they were one of the studios that lasted the longest theatrically. i THINK Walter Lantz and DFE may have been the only studios that outlasted them, but i could be just as wrong so don't quote me on that! i'm not nearly as intimate with my 50s-60s history of the studio as i am the 30s and 40s, but i aim to change that!

Order of the clock tower
With the decay of angels arc slowly reaching its end everyone's expecting order of the clock tower as the upcoming arc.
Order of the clock tower has the potential to be in my opinion one of the best arcs we came across so far even better than the decay of angels arc.
Before anything the only things we know so far about them is their leader , some of the ability wepons they poses , and a little bit on what they are capable of .
First i would like to predict some of the upcoming characters of this organization before talking about the leader Agatha christie in a different post since there's a lot to say about her.
NOW onto some characters predicted to be in the arc :
Now that the leader is agatha christie i expect even more mystery authors to be in the arc : so that leads to the first character im sure would be pretty interesting to be here is
1- Arthur canon doyle : Well known because of his genius detective none other than Sherlock holmss definitely an amazing character to have in bsd , but.. We already have ranpo who is also based on Sherlock and assuming order of the clock tower being a villain Arthur wouldn't be good even if he presents himself as , So that leaves the question who would Arthur be based on? id say Moriarty but ! A mixture of all of his characters as well , First ,Moriarty since we need someone going against ranpo , but then again i would find it interesting for him to not be like Moriarty straight up and as the plot continues we continue to see through Agatha and Arthur's facades and they develop more into the famous villains both of the real authors wrote , while that would leave us with the question what would arthurs ability be ? Id say
Hounds of the Baskerville : Hear me out , its might seem hard but id say its the best ability for him to have, its easy to stick it to the great War , its not an ability to be figured out fast , can be absolutely powerful, because assagiri could give it a hallucination and a real part. Everyone hallucinating a giant Dark hound with red eyes hunting everyone and a mysterious mist turning dogs and other animals horrifying Perfect to annoy dazai and any other character arthur comes across , Id expect him to be based on John watson as well , having some medical knowledge since we could say he worked as a doctor in the great war so to make it short since i can continue even more about him which i will , it would be like this
Detective ( before war and a good character based on Sherlock )
Doctor ( when war broke out , based on watson got his ability got injured wasnt seen after )
Moriarity ( joined clock tower is now a villain yet he still is like Sherlock as well )
If he joined the agency' under cover it would be fantastic , with his perfect deduction skills he'd make ranpo competitive , and he sees a sherlock and kinda watson in yosano and ranpo ?
UP next theres Carroll yes
Lewis Carroll : everyone is expecting him so i thought about it and yes
He would be powerful and i like it
I hope his a Cat ... Almost all the time... But a powerful cat . yes, I want him to be like the Cheshire cat floating in the air and having the wide grin when he finds someone alone, yet his able to talk as cat , and have a mixture of all the powers in alice in the wonder land and his ability would be named Wonderland . yes
Oscar wilde : another awaited charcter i see..
Sorta based on dorian gray , hold one .. Blond hair, rosy cheeks pale skin blue eyes eternally young younger than everyone in the organization(but his older than that) yep fits order of the clock tower perfectly
He'd be a charmer, charming and fooling everyone until later we get to see more of him. He would be one of the most well liked members of the order of the clock tower , a smile bright like the sun. Eyes that are so beautiful for anyone who looks at them. Great taste in fashion. Yet his not fully like dorian since it would make him atleast to me a bit unlikable. Maybe mixture of his works? Or from some quotes i saw from oscar wilde he'd be humble and a bit wise not totally crazy like dorian. Okay so now we have the ability part. Maybe Picture of oscar wilde ? Or just The picture? Second one is nicer id say . with his ability he could make different painting of people and maybe gift it to them as time passes everyone see their crimes on the picture and would go insane . and if he dosent gift it he'd be able to know everyone crimes by looking at their pictures , maybe if he stabs the picture he'd do some damage . and could say if someone is alive or dead by looking at the picture( him and arthur also met )
Mary Shelly : hold on before anything i was a bit confused after storm bringer was ahem spoilers sorry , that Mary actually mary ?
If yes then its great ! Adam again i hope . but not good news this time and she could have even more necromancy powers and im up for it . builds the prophetic arm everyone is predicting fyodor to have yet she dosent know who she made it for and dosent share the incident with the other members. The job she was offered ( the prosthetic arm ) was requested by and unkown person ( sigma, id expect him to wake up know everything about fyodor and is now on fyodors side, its fyodors turn to have amnesia and sigma, welp dazai left him there idk i expect it not even nikolai came so now him and fyodor are a team? ) maybe its too much? But i find it fun
I have another one but ill make another post
ITS
JRR Tolkien : ( ability Lord of the rings ) he'd have all the rings.
I want him to be based on gandalf id be so happy
He'd be wise and a guide. Is like a parent figure to Agatha and Arthur is willing to help the agency but would attack if attacked . the main ring he uses is narya . agatha said they are sending an ability user to burn Yokohama down. Rings a bell? Some characters who have incineration abilities in literature are gandalf and smug . so that ability user was i hope tolkien. On his way to burn Yokohama down.
THANK YOU FOR READING 🌹🌿🌙

Hello everyone, I simply wanted to see Rayman's evolution, growth and apparently his mental deterioration over time...
things before starting....
>I know something about mental health and psychology, but I'm not an expert....don't take my words too seriously.
>some topics related to the decline of mental health will be discussed, I repeat something about the topic again, but I am not an expert on this, much less a professional, do not take this very seriously.
>I will talk about some headcanons (like Rayman's growth, to give an example), and this is all a headcanon/theory about Rayman's character, so take it as entertainment.
>if you want you can correct me (I may have been wrong on one point about the canon or something similar...I haven't had the great opportunity to play all the Rayman games and know their stories in depth) or contribute to this headcanon/theory, but always with kindness.
>THERE WILL NOT BE TALK ABOUT ORIGINS OR LEGENDS, I consider them as part of another dimension, and they are basically the Rayman from Rayman 1, grown up and without traumas, so we are interested in them for this blog.
> my English is not the best... sorry if you don't understand something....
>THIS IS JUST ENTERTAINMENT AND I DO IT FOR MY OWN FUN
>LONG POST

rayman 1 the happy era
You have to start from the beginning, Rayman from Rayman 1, he is a kid who could easily be about 8-10, this is evident from his very childish and small design, as reflected in his Sprites and animations and as he demonstrates all the time. .
Rayman is lively, maintaining an optimistic smile even if the situation he is experiencing is somewhat dangerous, you can see how someone is very optimistic and cheerful, who seems not to take things very seriously, due to the fact that he makes fun of his own enemies ,or does not seem to be afraid of them until the situation gets serious, like a child would do.
To a certain extent he maintains a somewhat innocent and carefree posture, since he is seen not taking Mr Dark's situation so seriously, or not fully understanding the seriousness of the situation, until Betilla is captured, but another important characteristic of Rayman is his good will and heart of gold, since he will have no problem helping the other thingamajigs or creatures he meets along the way, always finding time to help everyone, something worth admiring.
In fact, it also highlights his great sense of empathy, this when after defeating the mosquito he empathizes with it, understanding that he did what he did, out of fear of Mr. Dark and the influence of nightmares.
In general, Rayman has a very fun and happy personality, with a lot of positivity, some innocence and, above all, not taking things too seriously, but his great sense of empathy and sense of doing good without really expecting anything in return stands out. Rayman does not have much development, but it could be assumed that after Betilla was captured by Mr Dark, Rayman would begin to take the matter of saving the world more seriously, although not reaching the level of Rayman from 2 or Spark of Hope.
This Rayman is totally healthy and after his adventure, it didn't have a really negative effect on him, but a positive one since he probably learned to take things a little more seriously, which can be reflected in Rayman 2, and maybe The most that could disturb him was the kidnapping of Betilla or Dark Rayman, better known as Raymesis, due to the fact that he had every intention of killing him, but this really gave him more of a life lesson than a trauma, since he overcame a fear and was able to take things more seriously, and he also solved these problems in a very simple and quick way, without having to suffer real consequences.
Tumblr media
Rayman 2 beginning of the problems....
Rayman 2 is the root of all the traumas and mental decline that Rayman would later suffer... here we can see an older Rayman being about 13-14, age is very important here... since it is childhood adolescence where traumas and emotional wounds can be worse than when they happen to a young adult or an adult, since the wounds or traumas obtained in childhood can leave a very large scar and very difficult to treat, sometimes it even seems that overcomes the situation but out of nowhere it falls drastically....
many will ask what is all this about??? Well, the beginning of the game is already very strong, telling us everything that happened and the horrible things that happened, but even more horrible is the context of the game, that basically the villain won and that hopes are very little.... Heavy for Rayman is the fact that he tried to save his home from the pirates but lost.... since the pirates achieved their goal, destroying the great protoon and basically leaving Rayman without powers or strength, which doomed the world... ..
This is already very strong, leaving Rayman with a great feeling of guilt and remorse, since basically because he was not very strong or capable, he had to see his world be destroyed and enslaved without him being able to do anything, something that was torture psychological for him, considering his sense of kindness and empathy, plus being imprisoned, being treated very poorly, just imagine that razorbear in the game manual tells Rayman that he will make him his most docile slave...we don't know what things He suffered but, considering those words, Razorbear's personality and how they had the other prisoners and even how Rayman himself looked at the beginning of the game, weak without strength or courage, even almost without hope, almost succumbing to Razorbear's will, they do not give good signs...
If you can imagine really horrible things, from psychological torture, like Rayman had to listen to the suffering of others, even see them, without being able to do anything, razorbear reminding him that everything that is happening is thanks to him, putting ideas in his head , also mistreatment from beatings or lack of food or sleep, in addition to the fact that imprisonment is already a very heavy thing in itself, imagine that being a child, it definitely left many emotional wounds.
and all this is just the tip of the iceberg since we haven't talked about the caves of nightmares and Yano and how he totally traumatized Rayman by wanting to eat him alive and his contradictory personality, or the fact that on this occasion the risk Dying is more latent for Rayman, or constantly seeing the pirates' strangers in his beautiful home, etc.
It is really worrying about all the psychological and physical damage that Rayman suffered in this installment...it is really very terrifying and alarming to think about all that...just consider that one of these bad experiences already leaves serious damage. , which would require months or years of therapy to overcome normally.
Speaking of Rayman's personality in this adventure, Rayman proves to be more serious and somewhat lost in his thoughts, which is not surprising considering what he is experiencing, although he still has innocence, demonstrated as when Ly asks him about Polokus and He very honestly and innocently answers "NO".
He also follows his big heart of gold and sense of pure empathy, as he continues to help those who need it and even in this serious situation he tries to give some positivity, but not by lying or trying to cover the sun with a finger, but by giving hope that everything will improve, since although he has suffered a lot he is still not willing to give up until he breathes his last, which encourages others.
You can also see a braver and somewhat mature side of the character, since he is often fighting against his own fears, he knows first-hand how capable Razorbear can be and the world has become a dark place where almost everything can kill you if You are not careful, so fear is constant in Rayman as he himself expresses it to globox, but he still faces his fears for his friends, something very noble on his part, he often speaks from his own experience supporting everyone who needs it, giving emotional support as you see he does with globox or ugleta or his babies, it is also seen that he no longer gets distracted or makes fun of his opponents, he walks with his feet on the ground.
He also has a great will, since when he finally defeats Janus, he rejects the temptation of gold and leaves all the suffering for the past, leaving his world to its fate, another thing worth admiring about the character, although we also see sadder sides. or the character's despair, like at the beginning of the game, as I mentioned, he is totally sad and almost without hope, but it is globox who returns them to him when he arrives so that Rayman can finally hug an old friend.
In fact you can see all his joy and happiness, when he finally sees him demonstrating the great affection he has for his friends and how important they are to Rayman, you can also see how he celebrates when overcoming certain obstacles which shows that he still has something of childish joy in his being.
Basically Rayman shares many characteristics with his younger self, with the difference that he is in some ways more mature than the younger version of him.
Although here Rayman suffers a lot of emotional damage, he also learns things, such as bravery and seriousness and total concentration, even though here he suffers much more emotional damage from the entire saga....damage that will leave him with really serious marks, which could cause depression. or a big change in your way of being, or other problems such as some self-hatred or a lot of insecurity and cases of anxiety in addition to the most obvious post-traumatic stress, really serious if not treated properly....
okay, a publishing error forces me to separate this into parts, plus I think this is already a little long and I better let you digest everything I just said about Rayman in its second installment, you've probably never thought about it very deeply in those things XD

Sudden question popped in my head: "How old is Gran Torino?"
Dude looks like he's supposed to be 80 or 90 yet he's spry even for anime fighting heavy setting old people.
Note a lot of this is gonna be riddled with a few assumptions based on character design and general character tropes as related to demeanor. The rest is applying math to known or estimated ages.
Also some minor spoilers due to some flashback sequence images used for reference but nothing major.
Tumblr media
Now since this is anime and across many many MANY different anime and manga the original artist or artist team tend to make character visual ages weird. I joke semi-often that kids look like teenagers, teenagers look like adults, young adults look like grizzled 40/50 year olds, and anyone past that look like they're in their 90s... unless you have a character who looks like a child. There's also even odds of the "child" being just that or actually being secretly immortal or 200+ years old.
So its possible that Torino's actually younger than he seems (shit ages you and we know he went through it). It'd also play in to his little prank/joke that he's a senile old man. I know people who look older than they really are due to one reason or another (usually stress) and I know some people in my mother's side of the family tend to look younger for whatever reason. (Some of us joke about having a portrait in the attic.)
But first: All Might is like what, 50? 60? We know he has an active career that's lasted long enough to make everyone else feel like he'll always be there. We also know he got OFA, attended U.A. (and presumably graduated), and then Toshinori got shipped off to America for his safety and to put a whole ocean between him and All Might. And since Gran Torino looked very tall at that time that means that we have a fully grown adult there (adding in to that "old people shrink in the wash" height joke thing).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All Might was dressed in a middle school uniform when he first met Nana so that means he would've been between 12 and 15 when Nana was shown talking about him to Sorahiko after Kid Toshi's dream and drive won her over. Now he's TALL but that doesn't mean anything since I remember a couple boys in 4th grade towering over our teachers so he could be a very gangly one. But to make the Izuku parallels more strong we can say that the first meeting he had with Nana was when he was around 14 or 15.
But the only thing we can really know is that Torino would have to be at least 20-ish to have a pro hero license. Dude has the attitude of someone who's been around the block a bit so let's add in another 5 years for experience as that would be long enough to know the field. That said the characters we know best from canon with similar attitudes are in their early 30s or late 30s.
So that'd make him 30-something to Kid Toshi's 14.
But there's another character I can use as a benchmark for his age: Nana's son Kotaro. 32 when he died, when Tenko (at the time) was around 5-6. Tomura is 20 by canon's start, where All Might would presumably be in his 50s. Now I always assumed Kotaro was around 5 when Nana gave him up for his safety as that is generally the age when things go start to shit for characters in the setting. It'd also give Kotaro stronger memories of Nana and better awareness of who she was (a hero) and why his kids wanting to be heroes like her set him off (not that he seemed to need a reason with his apparent temper).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if Kotaro is 32 when Tenko was 5/6, the man would have been 47 by the time Tomura appeared in canon. All Might - assuming he's in his 50s - would've met Nana when Kotaro was... well, if All Might is 59 at the series start then Kotaro would've been 3, if All Might is 55 then 7, if he's 51 then 11.
You know what? All Might at 55 sounds fair. Kotaro being 7 at that time also means the loss would've been still fairly fresh, explain a lot about how the letter was phrased, and possibly be part of why Torino was a bit leery of Nana picking a kid. All this without it being too close to her unintentionally replacing her son with another around his age.
Series Start Ages: All Might, 55. Kotaro, 45/46. Tomura, 18/19. Izuku, 14-ish/15-ish.
1-A Start ages: All Might, 56/57. Kotaro, 47. Tomura, 20. Izuku, 16.
So assuming all this... Torino could be around 72 to 77 by the time All Might first meets Izuku.
... you can see how crazy I'm making myself trying to make sense of the timeline.

Being The Oldest Di Angelo Sibling
>Alec Mores
A/N: I don’t know if I’ll make a part 2, but this was a little rushed. I was just chilling in the living room and had this funny little idea. I hope you enjoy! TITANS CURSE SPOILERS!
Warnings: Major character death (Bianca and Moria), mourning, sibling drama, semi angst, Percy and Reader make bad decisions, happy ending, gender neutral reader, readers age is mentioned but if you don’t like it you can change it no big deal
Word Count: 1k (1,350)
Being the oldest of the Di Angelo siblings, and a child of Hades, AND growing up in the 1930s, you had A LOT of responsibilities.
You often helped your mom with Nico and Bianca, chores around the house and anything that she really needed.
Nico and Bianca always went to you first for help, with homework or fixing something or really anything .
They always looked up to you, like, a ton.
Imagine you were old enough to know who your father was.
You knew he was Hades, god of the underworld, a literal Greek god, but you didn’t tell your siblings in fear that the monsters would come for them.
You tried to hide it from them as long as you could, your mother would watch them as you fought any monsters that would come for you and your siblings.
You cherished your family, besides your father, and loved them more than anything in the world.
That being said, your mothers death struck you the most.
It happened right in front of you, in front of all of you but you tried to hide the scene from your younger siblings.
Zeus, your uncle, had struck her right from the sky while she was with your family, including your father.
As Hades mourned his Maria in his arms, you couldn’t help but stare at the scene as you held the bodies of your sobbing siblings.
You were alone. You had to watch these children, not even in double digits, yourself. Gods know how much “help” Hades would truly grant you.
Age isn’t really too important, but if you want an age I'd say you're two-three years older than Bianca, making you 4-5 years older than Nico.
Your dad put you in the Lotus Casino after the death of your mother, causing decades to fly by while you hardly ever aged.
You were 14-15 when Percy, Grover, Thalia and Annabeth found you at school.
You weren’t aware that a faculty member in your school was a freaking manticore, or that one of your fellow students was literally part animal.
you did notice the peculiar teenagers at the school dance, yk, the ones from camp half-blood, that part you didn’t know.
When the disguised manticore took you and your siblings away, you assumed those kids were dangerous and that everyone was being evacuated.
It was only until you realized no other students were with you is when you started getting worried.
After the giant battle that resulted in the blonde girl being launched off a cliff, you stayed close to your brother as Bianca walked away with the so-called “Hunters of Artemis.”
You didn’t trust them, but you did trust Bianca’s judgement. That didn’t stop you from being insanely worried.
After you found out that Bianca became a Hunter of Artemis, you being livid was an understatement.
You were happy she’d found her place in the world and that she seemed happy, but you believed the decision was too rushed, and she hadn’t even consulted you!
You chose to stay with Nico at camp while the others went on the quest, and you were there for Nico and Percy’s conversation.
As Percy promised Nico your sister would live, you were doubtful. Still, you informed Percy that he would pay the price for her death.
Not because it was his fault, or that he didn’t try hard enough to save her, but because he had the nerve to promise a ten-year-old boy something he couldn't guarantee.
When they returned, you followed Nico as he asked Percy about his sister, but you knew. You felt it. Your sister was dead.
You didn’t cry, you couldn’t. You had to wait to be alone, you had to be strong for your brother. He needed comfort, and you were ready to provide that for him. The consequences for Percy’s selfish promise could wait.
They didn’t wait, however, as Nico’s emotions exploded.
Nico blamed Percy for his sister’s death. He broke his promise. He was to blame.
You tried to calm Nico down, but when he turned to you, face broken and tear stricken, his breath hitched.
“You knew.” He said, almost a whisper, a whisper of betrayal. “You knew and you didn’t tell me.”
You stayed silent, hesitant. You felt when she died. You knew who your father was, and you knew when death greeted your sister in a silent, cold black blanket.
That was Nico’s last straw.
He left behind only painful words and granted Grover, Annabeth and Percy with the very knowledge you tried so hard to keep hidden from everyone all of your life.
You and your siblings are children of Hades.
The trio said they wouldn’t speak on this secret for the time being, you thanked them.
And then, because of your foolishness, you mourned the loss of two siblings, the only people in your family you had left. Your father didn’t count. He wasn’t there, and now they weren’t either.
You wanted to search for Nico, he was only ten. He couldn’t survive alone, cold and scared, but they wouldn’t let you. You had to stay at camp, that was the rule.
So, as much as you hated it, you did. You only just found a permanent home, even if it didn’t feel like it, even if people didn’t like you, that’s what it was. It was home, it had to be, because nothing else was.
Percy constantly tried apologizing to you, you could tell guilt consumed him, and you were glad.
You didn’t punish him like you said you would, you were too tired and could tell the regret he felt for his actions was punishment enough.
You weren’t friends yet, but you weren’t enemies either. You were allies, yeah, that was a safe word, allies.
When Percy ran to you, informing you that he saw your brother, you nearly died. At least, you felt like it, it was as if your breath was caught in the wind.
Your brother? Was he alright? Did he look happy? How was he doing? Did he miss you like you missed him? Where was he? Does he hate you? Millions of questions consumed you, but you never spoke one.
Percy told you most of what he saw, you couldn’t tell if he was holding anything back, but you didn’t care. He saw your brother. Your baby brother.
You wanted more than anything to see him, but Percy talked you into staying at camp. You really didn’t want to, but Percy threatened to tell Chiron who your father was, so you listened resentfully, suddenly not counting him as much of an “ally” anymore.
One day while you were hanging out with Silent Beauregard in the strawberry fields, you sensed another presence of death
At first you thought someone in camp had passed, but it was a different feeling. A feeling of another child of Hades in the woods, and you ran to it while ignoring Silena’s worrisome calls.
Your brother was there, in your sight, in front of you, looking much older than before.
He was thirteen now, his dark eyes observed you with so much emotion, though his face was neutral. But he couldn’t have found much before you engulfed him in a breathtaking hug.
Tears filled your eyes as you felt him stiffen, suddenly remembering your last interaction you were about to retreat when he suddenly relaxed a little and hugged you tighter than you were hugging him.
“Hey, y/n,” he said in a breathy, crackly voice, and you sobbed out a sigh of relief, hugging him impossibly tighter. His voice was so different, he was so different, but it didn’t matter.
Your brother was here, with you, hugging you, talking to you. After almost three years of nothing, no knowledge about him, if he was okay, he was here. He was here and he didn’t hate you, at least he didn’t act like he did.
You knew, in that very moment, you’d do anything for him. You’d follow him anywhere, you’d never let anyone hurt him.
And you, yourself, would never hurt him again.

Goldenheart AU Pt. 4
Finally got around to doing part 4 of this AU, and this time we are exploring Nimona's backstory. Also, I highly recommend checking out the first three parts otherwise some things might not make sense. (If anyone had already read Part 3 (Bal's backstory) I updated it because I think the story makes more sense like this, so I suggest checking it out again!
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]
Well then here we go, Nimona's backstory. And please don't hesitate to add on to this in the tags or replies or send me a message about ideas you might have!
Quick warning, there's discussion of malnourishment at the beginning.
Nimona
Nimona's parents weren't the best really. They neglected their only child and provided only the basic needs they might need to survive, and Child Protective Services were contacted after many people noted how thin and malnourished they were, so they were placed in the foster system
They never stayed with the same family for long, their love for chaos and energetic attitude being too much for many
They adored animals and have often brought home snakes, frogs, etc. They've also tried many times to get into cages at the zoo, which always drove their foster parents crazy.
They had been fostered by these two kind people for around two weeks when a boy around ten years older than them arrived. His name was Ballister.
They had never had to deal with older kids before, much less 16 year old kids, but they assumed scaring him away or infuriating him was going to be as easy as it was with their past foster parents and that he was just an added obstacle
It really wasn't
When they tried getting into the basins at the aquarium, Vivian (foster mother) just snatched them away and brought them to the shark exhibit, something she new they loved and they spend the rest of the day there
When they tried getting into the cages at the zoo, William (foster father) picked them up and brought them either to one of the shows where they could watch birds or into one of those cage tunnels where the lions are all around you
And whenever they messed with Ballister's stuff or stole some things from his room, instead of getting mad, he'd ask them if they wanted to learn how certain things worked or offered to give them the thing they stole (he thought they liked them when it really was just to piss him off)
It was all annoying, the fact that none of them seemed to mind their chaotic nature, but in a way, it was also... freeing?
Before, everyone told them that they would need to act more lady-like in the future or that they needed to "tone it down" basically forcing them to keep all their energy inside until they exploded, usually with anger
Now, they could run around all they wanted and talk for hours at a time about how sharks are cool and someone would be listening at all time
They also really liked Ballister who always shared information he gathered about things they enjoyed and never minded when they corrected him about facts they go wrong
He talked a lot about a past friend of his and swears it was the Ambrosius Goldenloin, but they don't believe him
(They also quickly found out that the best way to piss him off was to play freestyle jazz, but they only took advantage of that a little)
They also quickly realized that they connected with music. Because while Bal preferred the bass and Nimona the drums, those instruments went pretty well together and they always had fun watching videos of combinations of those two
When Nimona turned 7, her biological parents had their rights terminated as they were unfit to care for a child, and Vivian and William offered to adopt them, and it didn't take long for them to agree. It was a long process, but eventually Nimona became their official child, along with Ballister who was adopted by them not long after
When Bal turned 17, a little less than a year after he arrived in the foster home, their foster parents bought him a bass set, and he was absolutely giddy
Nimona may or may not have been sour about it, but their parents promised them that they'd get their drum set one day, so it was fine
Sure enough, around three years later, Nimona got their drum set on their tenth birthday, and Vivian and William never said a thing about the loud banging that could be heard throughout the house while Bal helped them learn
Then, two years later, Bal was 22 and Nimona 12, and they both wanted to help their parents with the rent because money was starting to become rough and Bal saw how it was live on very little money and didn't want to go through that again and Nimona loved their family too much to see it crumble down
They both knew that little jobs at the park or with the mailman wouldn't cut it this time, and they also knew they had talent when it came to their instruments and music, but being just them two wouldn't cut it
That's when they met Meredith Blitzmeyer
Alright, I'm stopping it there, next is Meredith's backstory. Again, don't be afraid to add onto this!
Also, I'm thinking of writing a fanfic about this, so if I did, would anyone be interested in reading it? (I'll most likely write it anyways, but I'm still curious).

From So You Want To Be A Wizard: Perytons.
(And a bit of discussion from an older Tumblr post:)
When I first started reading the Young Wizards series, I read and took on the Perytons introduced in So You Want to Be a Wizard as they were but recently started coming across other mythological Perytons — crosses between stags and birds — and so was thrown off on some of my mythology. Since they share names, I'm curious where you got the idea for the Perytons shown in SYWtBaW.
I borrowed it from Jorge Luis Borges, as everyone else has (whether they know it or not. Many, if not most, seem not to). ...And then tinkered with the concept to suit myself: just as Borges had.
Some background under the cut...
Borges’ The Book of Imaginary Beings was published in the late 1960s, initially in Spanish in 1967 and then in an English translation in 1969 (my copy is the Discus/Avon paperback published that year). It is a compendium/collection of more than a hundred of Borges’ short fictional works—many written for The New Yorker, and the rest either written specifically for this collection or published elsewhere without those previous publications being cited in the book.
Tumblr media
Now, though a lot of people have taken the title of this book at its face value, assuming that it’s a reference to earlier mythological or fantastic creatures, it’s frequently not. Many of the creatures in it show signs of being Borges’s inventions, despite being attributed to other sources, and to my eye the peryton is the most obvious of these.
It doesn’t hurt to remember that Borges as a writer is (when the mood moves him) not merely playful but often hilariously subversive, if not downright mischievous. In TBIB he’s very careful with his cites when he needs to be—his entries on “An Animal Imagined By Kafka”, “An Animal Imagined by C. S. Lewis”, “A Crossbreed”, and “The Odradek”, all carefully cite their sources and permissions in the front matter. Some other works that were apparently out of copyright he identifies without citation in the front matter (such as the wonderfully titled Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods, With A Few Desert and Mountain Beasts, which is now available online!). And ancient out-of-copyright resources he obviously doesn’t need to cite in too great a detail if he doesn’t want to. Which allows Borges to lull the reader into a false sense of security, and in some other articles, like the one about the peryton, leaves you susceptible to having the wool gently and carefully pulled over your eyes.
An excerpt from the full passage:
The Peryton
The Sibyl of Erythraea, it is said, foretold that the City of Rome would finally be destroyed by the Perytons. In the year A.D. 642 the record of the Sibyl’s prophecies was consumed in the great conflagration of Alexandria: the grammarians who undertook the task of restoring certain charred fragments of the nine volumes apparently never came upon the special prophecy concerning the fate of Rome.
…Now here we’ve already got a problem. Two of them, actually. First of all, Borges has just signaled the incoming wool-pulling by using the inevitably suspicious “It is said…” construction in the very first sentence. And secondly—regardless of whether there were copies of the Sibylline Books in the great Library of Alexandria or not—Borges has here told us twice that he’s pulling our legs, by giving the number of those books as nine.
This is of course pure nonsense. The best-known legend about the Books is quite clear. Six of them were burned by the Sibyl herself before King Tarquin realized he’d better buy however many books remained at whatever price she was asking. And then the remaining three were destroyed by fire in the Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill in 83 BC. So subtle and careful a scholar as Borges does not make such mistakes by accident
So, having been doubly warned by the writer that we are now in the Classical Fibbing Department, we get the following (attributed to yet another scholar whose provenance is comically obscure):
The Perytons had their original dwelling in Atlantis and are half deer, half bird. They have the deer’s head and legs. As for its body, it is perfectly avian, with corresponding wings and plumage.
Its strangest trait is that, when the sun strikes it, instead of casting a shadow of its own body, it casts the shadow of a man. From this, some conclude that the Perytons are the spirits of wayfarers who have died far from their homes and from the care of their gods…
…they [perytons] are mortal foes of the human race; when they succeed in killing a man, their shadow is that of their own body and they win back the favor of their gods.
While a bit more about them appears in the original passage, what most strongly caught my attention when I read the book in the ‘70s was the twin issue of the creature that does not cast its own shadow (something I’ve since used elsewhere), and the part about the souls of wayfarers who die out of reach of their own gods. In the back of my mind those two concepts started running themselves together into the idea of creatures that had been human once, at least in spirit, but had taken a wrong turn somewhere—into the Lone Power’s service, specifically—and were trapped there, possibly also tormented by the idea that if they killed a human being then that human’s spirit would be forced to take their place in bondage. (Though I don’t believe that particular concept made it through into the final text of SYWTBAW. It was enough that the mere sight or smell of a human [and human spirit] not in bondage would so enrage them that they would try to kill the person on sight.)
I thought about the idea as a whole for a while, and generally it seemed to have merit. But it seemed to me that nobody was going to be particularly scared of some weird unfamiliar cross between a deer and a bird. Quickly enough, though, the answer suggested itself as the sequence started to form up in my head of [REDACTED INTERACTION WITH CHARACTER]-on-nasty-horseback as based on the Grant statue on Central Park South. Almost immediately the Wild Hunt archetype jumped up and started waving its arms shouting “Me, pick me…!” After that it was simple: for a hunt you need hounds. Except not hounds: wolves. Big wolves. With angry hating human spirits inside them.
By way of acknowledging the debt to Borges, I kept the name for the new fusion. (Also because it had the virtue of being unfamiliar to nearly everybody. TBIB had only been out for a decade and change when I was writing this sequence, and was still a bit of a specialist text). And there you have them: perytons, sort of mark II.
...That was 1983. Since then numerous sources, often associated with card- or RPG-gaming, have picked up on perytons in the Borgesian sense. As a result, scattered around the Web are various pictures of stags with wings stuck on them that make it plain almost nobody has read Borges’ full text... though many know about it, more or less, from the Wikipedia page, which does not cite the full, pertinent details. …Meanwhile others have been discussing where Borges got the word peryton (my guess is he coined it) and other issues.
So that’s how it went. Nothing’s ever simple, is it?  :)

It's been a week. "But Pancake," you say, "it's only Monday."
Yes.
At least we can all come together and cry over Trigun.
Stream-of-consciousness thoughts for TriMax Vol. 6, Chapters 1-2 below.
TriMax Volume 6 Covers
This is the most band cover of the covers. Except someone forgot to tell Vash and he's just enjoying hanging out with everyone, and Milly has given up on her cool pose because it's just too hot.
Ohhhhhh, crap! I don't recognize most of the people on the back cover, but there's a certain two-gunned fellow who looks familiar. I'm so excited to meet him!
I love how the text on the back frames this like some fun, action-packed adventure instead of action-trauma with an extra side of MORE trauma.
I don't have a clue what's going on with the gag covers. I wish everyone the best in the inevitable tentacle wars.
Oh, man. These chapter titles have me hyped!
Chapter 1: The Gunslinger
Every time Vash is wrapped in a big cloak like that I think of him looking over the crater of July.
Is this... Meryl having a bit of a panic attack over all the information?
Yep, that's what it is.
At least Milly is sleeping again. And apparently through Meryl waking up screaming.
Maaaaannnn, the old-timey Southwestern U.S. aesthetic is real.
Tumblr media
Oh, dude. Was this guy in '98? Are we gonna get to see Vash's drinking tie again??
Telling someone who refused to give you a guy that they're gonna regret not giving you a gun isn't a very sound argument for them giving you a gun.
Eyyy, it's Vash!
LOL, "Lightning." I wonder what this guy's seen Vash do to give him a nickname like that.
Nick thinks Meryl just wants some of his food.... I mean, eating probably would make her feel a bit better.
Wolfwood knows. Sort of.
I don't think he's trying to drive her away so much as he's trying to protect her.
Look at him being all pretty here....
Tumblr media
You know... Nightow hasn't exactly portrayed sheriffs as good, upstanding citizens in this series....
He's not a very good sheriff if he couldn't figure out that Marlon and this "total stranger" have a bit of a history.
Oh, don't worry about Meryl. She's seen worse. A lot worse.
Glad she takes her weapons seriously.
Whyyyyy is this guy a walking, talking bell??
That's soooooo many bullets....
Tumblr media
Good hell, Vash. Burning off some steam or something? Pretty sure you don't need to shoot that much.
Sherrif's an idiot if he doesn't recognize the skill required for precise grouping. Doesn't deserve a gun.
Dude. I don't like this sheriff guy. I know I already implied that, but now I'm gonna spell it out.
Spoilers for '98: Ok, this gunsmith guy is apparently a direct descendant of the character from the anime. That explains the resemblance; I'm pretty sure that episode aired before this volume was compiled and likely before this chapter was written.
Ah, this shitty sheriff can handle a gun. But he goes straight for killshots and doesn't have nearly the precise grouping Vash has. Also, Vash's face....
Tumblr media
Vash still claps for the guy. He knows it's expected of him, and he'll get further with the guy if he tries to smooth things out than if he criticizes his technique. They're not close enough for that yet.
Marlon gets it. Also, I think it's hilarious that he calls the sheriff "kid," since I'm guessing the sheriff assumes he's older than Vash. But it seems like the Marlon family has a history with Vash that goes back far enough to know he's not exactly human.
Ooooh, Vash just went straight into panic mode. Poor boy, he's got so much trauma....
Dynamite for EVERYONE!!!!
Milly seems happy to be able to go back to hiding behind Meryl. Can't wait to see this dynamic in Stampede.
Uhhhhh, that's a lot more than one....
Rocket? Is... is this Wolfwood?
LOL, what the heck, Vash?? Aaaand there's the Punisher, so....
Tumblr media
Bet me Vash is gonna do this without firing a single shot, just to prove a point. Maybe without even pulling a gun.
These shield guys are so Mad Max.
Geez, regardless of whatever other conflicted emotions they might have about him, they're so worried for his wellbeing.
Tumblr media
Pretty sure he can still pull the trigger. Pretty sure he still doesn't want to, though.
Oop, he's got a gun out... aaaaand he's pulling crazy trick shots again.
The sheriff continues to be the real dumbass here.
He's putting two and two together. Took him long enough.
Oh, now Vash has the Vash gun.
Yep, that's Vash right there.
Tumblr media
His look is like... a bit of an apology, and maybe a bit of embarrassment. He didn't mean to worry Meryl, I think. And he's not used to being seen so plainly.
LOL, he stole the Punisher. Wolfwood will get over it. He just missed his security giant machine gun cross.
Chapter 2: Double Team
Dramatic Wolfwood pose!
The thing about never being able to go back to the people you left to keep safe is you can never quite be sure if they're actually safe in your absence.
Dang, that's quite a recruitment squad that came for him there.
Tumblr media
Did... Knives kill everyone at the orphanage??
Nightow really likes his custom alcohol labels, doesn't he? I wish we could get a better look at this one, 'cause it looks all kinds of intricate.
Tumblr media
Barkeep's trying to be friendly, but Wolfwood's in no mood to talk.
Yyyyyeeeaaahhh, comparing someone to Bluesummers is not a compliment.
Is the "him" Wolfwood is thinking of here Knives or Vash?
Fffffwwwwhaaaaaaat?? Knives shows up, Vash blows a hole in the moon, and Wolfwood, gosh darnit, he goes straight to Knives and pulls a gun on him??? Dang, boy is far more like Midvalley than he'd like to admit.
HC Vash picked up on Wolfwood feeling down and out and deliberately went to find him and check up on him. I mean, if he was able to pick up Wolfwood's voice in the crazy that was the fight in the Dragon's Nest from however far away....
Tumblr media
I have thoughts on Wolfwood pulling his gun on Vash.
Wolfwood: "Sit this one out, Vash." Vash: *already gone*
Oh, no. They've earned Vash's serious face.
Tumblr media
This new yin-yang brother is a bit unhinged.
Awwww, they damaged those super-tough tables!
OMG this spread a;sjdf;lal;al;al;fa;lfl;ajdl;jasdhfah it's delicious
Tumblr media
RIP table. It was hiding a Wolfwood and a big-ass cross machine gun.
LOL, the shot of the poor bartender mourning his awesome table.
Gods, the way Wolfwood's gone from leveling a gun at Vash's head to placing himself as a shield at Vash's back.... Ugh. These boys.
Haaaahahahahahahahaha, Wolfwood knows that Vash knows. And it just makes him like Vash more.
Meanwhile, Milly slept through their building getting the crap beat out of it. You go girl.

Can you make a list of Bumblebee's best friend (bot) in all versions such as animated, Cyberserve or prime?🥺
Hi, I was a bit confused ( like you want me only list bots, not humans?), especially if you want only the continuities you listed or all of them? Anyway, I'll do all bc as I was thinking about the answer I got some interesting thoughts. So prepare your tea and sit comfortably ~
Generation 1
In G1 cartoon they made it seem like Bumblebee just gets along with everyone. But I can't remember if Bee had someone among bot who we could consider his best friend. This title really went to Spike exclusively and I know you said to list bots only, bear with me here.
This fits into Bumblebee's struggles, because he's weak, but humans weak too so he feel he belong with them more than his own people. And Bumblebee still friends with Spike even after the human grows up and has a family (and the fact its the only time they show passage of time like this with a human character?)! We don't see Bee a lot on later seasons so I like to assume he just hangs out with Spike's family most of the time.
It would be so dope if they actually explored the idea of human mortality and how cybertronians would handle the invertible. But it never happens in canon even in "serious" continuities. And same even in fandom spaces. I only once stumbled upon the fic where Bee gets super anxious because Spike is getting older, really long time ago. Of course I wrote a story about this, but still, I can't be the only one thinking about this. In G1 based comics it's kinda the same thing, except IDW where Bumblebee has NO FRIENDS ( nor bot or human). Like he had some pals in the past, but he lost them all. In IDW2 there is Windblade who was established as Bumblebee's bestie but they way it was written... it was very cold friendship judging by panels I saw. Not a fan. Ah yes, I didn't watched the Netflix version, so idk, but considering how writers decided to deconstruct the character for no reason I can assume he has no friends at all.
Bayverse
I can's really say anything, I watched only first and second movies and again, Bee was bonded with a human. Same with Bee-movie, I know it's not technically bayverse, but sadly, Bee has the same the design and I still can't watch the movie bc of it xD
Animated
This is very clear that Bumblebee bot bestie is Bulkhead. And if both Bumblebee and Bulkhead were written better we would have a really dope character dynamic. Tho their dynamic is fun even as it is ( Bee crawling all over Bulkhead like a spider is Halloween episode cracks me up), but sadly Bee just never develops as a character.
Prime
I can't say anything about because I didn't really watched the show. I started, didn't liked it and dropped it. The entire aligned continuity isnt really for me, so I skipped Rescue Bots and RiD15. Though, I did like "War for Cybertron" game a lot, and maybe I would watch Prime if character designs were from that game. In the game Bee didn't had any besties.
Cyberverse
Here Bumblebee has bonds with few bots. First one is Windblade and I absolutely loved it. Their relationship was amazing and warm and physically tactile, and that's how I started ship them. Then we see Hot Rod and, now deceased, Blurr and later Bumblebee bonds with Cheetor.
This show had so much potential, like the buildup in S1 was nice and well established dynamic between Bumblebee and Windblade, but then it was all thrown out the window. Windblade was sidelined entirely in S2 as Bee hands out with Hot Rod and Cheetor ( as it's the typical all boys gang no girls allowed) after all this demonstration how close those two are in S1?? Meh.
And when Cheetor sacrifices himself? Bee looks sad at this moment, and then moves on like thing happened and it didn't affect him? What is this?? Ugh.
Earthspark
Right it's too early to say, but we can already see that Bee has a very sibling-like bond with Arcee. And from the trailer it looks like Bee is good friends with Breakdown which is interesting. Maybe he was the reason why Bee picked the racer car after his VW Beetle mode? We will see~
I think it's all? There is Shattered Glass too, but I have no idea, cant say anything. I hope it was enough)

-. MORE HEADCANONS for Hyun Celebrity Verse
Tumblr media
The BRAINROT I have for this verse, gosh... (rat bastard character for this verse also coming up~ Lynnie, I WILL give you that bastard, MARK MY WORDS!)
Her first ventures into acting where actually classic MV cameos that models seem to do here and there; especially when she was first rising to fame, so early twenties, she'd be featured in that classic 'look at how cool this artist is he can get models~', eye candy and the likes way; the older she'd get, the likelier she'd be to feature as the actual love interest rather than a meatbag (and choose who to work with)
I like to think that she featured with artists like Ra.in yknow~ or people she'd actually enjoy, like Crush, Gray, or as a mate in Ta.eyeon videos maybe (if that's even a thing)
At one point her cameos became less 'oh a model' and more 'is that Ji Hyun?! OMG~'
YOU KNOW WHAT what if she's the voice at the beginning of Jessi's Spirit Animal, you know the one, that'd be so much fun what the fuck, she'd love Jessi (on that note, fluent in English queen~?)
She's not even that much into fashion, as I feel I've kind of established relatively well, the only fashion designer she can actually get behind is Kang Ae-ri ( @stillresolved ) because other than THAT'S HER BESTIE Hyun also feels like Ae-ri is one of the few people left in the business who actually has something to say, something to show, a passion for her craft, and not the performative kind where you call yourself eccentric to get away with being a douchebag, no, Ae-ri actually gives a shit, and Hyun respects that
Even though she's a clothing hanger (her words), when it comes to endorsing brands outside the fashion industry, Hyun likes perfume deals the most: she's a big fan of scents and the likes, she actually likes 'selling' perfumes she'd wear on herself
On the other end of the spectrum: skin-care products, she fucking hates that industry, oversaturated with scammers and bullshit
ONTO THE DEFAMATION LAWSUIT lmao I think I'm settling on a designer being the cause of her trouble: he publicly painted as an abuser who mistreats everyone around her, especially the crew and anyone easily painted as an underdog, this designer is someone Hyun has had issues with for years; she's kept herself relatively close-lipped and they simply had a very tense work-place relationship until Hyun's incoming departure from the fashion industry has prompted her to put him in his goddamn place for his mistreatment and abuse of the women especially who work for him; long story short, he did not like that and turned it around and against her
Hyun's mother is Old Money, Hyun's father owns a cruises company, Hyun's older sister is a former Olympic bronze medalist and now activist, a lot of people assume that's how she got into modelling in the first place, money nepotism, WRONG! She's never seen a cent of her mother's money for most of her life, Hyun's father kind of forgets he has children, Hyun's sister is dealing with her own shit and doesn't have a good reputation for being an LGBTQ+ rights activist anyway, so Hyun was....... scouted~ Like those classic kpop scouting stories you hear, you know
She was also offered to become a trainee, yknow, for the visuals only but she refused, it wouldn't have been for her, she's got no pronounced musical talent and even just thinking about learning choreos fatigued her (she also doesn't like dancing tbh)
In terms of how public Boram and her are, I'll have to talk to Alex about it, but prior to this relationship, she's been OF COURSE target of all sorts of dating rumours
Once she was approached about potentially dating a popular 2nd gen kpop idol and she laughed in their face... she had a public appearance & interview ban for weeks after that
I have to incorporate foxes into this verse as well, of course, so what if an upcoming potential role of hers was that of a gumiho 👀
Funniest about this is... Hyun is a good actor; translating the masking and trickster nature of a gumiho into this verse, it just makes sense, we could easily make her as good as P.ar.k Gy.u-yo.un.g herself
And she would actually like it, she doesn't know it yet BUT I DO, Hyun would love acting, she'd abandon the fashion industry as main gig real fucking fast
We need to cast her in something with Se.o In.-G.uk (NOBODY TOLD ME HE'S IN SOMETHING WITH PARK SO-D.AM RN, GOSH DARN IT)
While she avoids public appearances unless super necessary for whatever reason (such as the one Bellamy ( @usuhan ) is offering her 👀), she's likelier to attend if they're charity events... but she's a little picky there, too

(Continuation of this!)
If he had to call the attack on Tumble Town anything, Sausage would call it ominous.
You see, the thing about living thousands of years and multiple lives is that you start to notice patterns in tragedy. So although most people said there was calm before the storm, he knew otherwise: there was always a bit of a dark sky in between, some sort of warning bell. And Sausage knew quite a lot about dark skies.
He was the first one to offer support as soon as he got the news. If not because his colourful empire greatly valued the terracotta trades, then because the Sheriff was a good friend. The man confided to Sausage — which means everybody everywhere was aware of it by noon — his strange encounter the previous night. The Red Light Bandit, as he’d taken to calling the suspect, definitely gave off the feeling that they were looking for more than a victimless inconvenience. They both knew this wasn't going to be a one-time thing.
Someone needed to keep an extra eye out, if anything. It was in the Guardian's nature to protect what was vulnerable, regardless of whether or not it made a chill run down his spine. He owed it to Tumble Town, after all. He should do right by it at least once.
Citizens of Sanctuary were quick to volunteer a hand once the message started circulating. Now, if there was one thing Sausage was sure of, it was that those who lived in Sanctuary — the refugees, the runaways, the lost souls and found families, — understood better than anyone what it was like to pick up the pieces of a broken home.
Two days after the incident, Sausage showed up to the mesa with a whole group of volunteered help behind him. Truth be told, try as he might, the Guardian couldn't keep up with every single soul that came and went from the safe haven he'd created; he wasn’t, therefore, completely familiar with the entire bunch. There were one or two elves with whom he’d had friendly conversations over the years; an enderian who often humoured the thought of moving to Tumble Town, where the humidity was far more bearable than in the jungle; a couple of fae he had personally welcomed into their community after their forest burned down.
They were followed over the torn hills by four avian friends — no older than eighteen or so, from some country overseas, — a number of dwarves with a heavy accent from somewhere way up north and a few humans from all over the place. Sausage couldn’t say he knew any of them by name, but he made sure to keep track of them nonetheless.
“Alright, everybody! The Sheriff offered us some tools in this box here,” he announced, stepping out of the sheriff’s office with a heavy chest full of equipment. “There are a couple of spots that could use our help, I’m pretty sure everyone can find something they’re good at. If you need any guidance, just come looking for me and we’ll figure it out, right? Right, let’s get to it!”
Sausage’s enthusiasm was infectious, and his people promptly took the initiative. They scattered throughout the town to help break up debris, repair broken rooves, move animals, replace light sources and all the likes of manual labour. Seeing them work alongside the citizens of Tumble Town who had the condition to stay and rebuild, the various goblins carrying materials all around and even a few of Joel’s obedient subjects, Sausage was glad to conclude most of the group had no trouble fitting in. Some, however, seemed a bit more unsure.
One of the humans — or at least he thought that’s what they were; something seemed a little off about it, though he wasn’t quite sure what — caught his attention after a couple of minutes. They looked around with some sort of polite intrigue and a quiet demeanour Sausage assumed was related to shyness. Their nervousness spiked immediately once they noticed Sausage staring, and his approach didn’t seem to make it much better, despite his best intentions.
“Hey there!” He started with a smile that aimed to soothe. “Sorry, this is all a bit of a mess. I guess you haven’t found something to do yet?”
They stared at him as if he was about to bite their head off. Eventually, they nodded.
Sausage hummed. He scanned the wreckage of the town, eyes landing on the Sheriff — who was busy instructing his cheery avian quartet on something, — then following the jagged hills around them in search of vacant stations. His look then went back to the man in front of him, eyeing him up and down once. Although he had a thinner frame than Sausage’s own, he was still built like someone who was used to carrying lots of weight; his long blond hair, streaked with the occasional grey strands, resembled a very messy curtain, taking over his features like he had never his life bothered to brush it back. Still, the Guardian could tell the man had tired dark eyes that avoided his stare at all costs.
“Tell you what, you seem pretty strong,” Sausage concluded, nodding to himself. “I think you should join Vilde by the train tracks over there, if you can.”
Next to the tunnel that once led to the east side of Tumble Town, an elf chipped away at the boulders that blocked it. She was a tall and burly woman who Sausage knew to be quite amicable. It seemed like a good match to him.
He gave the man an encouraging pat on the back, which was returned in the form of a relieved smile. Rolling his shoulders and taking one of the pickaxes inside their equipment box, the stranger — Sausage realised a few seconds too late that he forgot to ask for a name, dang it! — walked away. He promptly received a warm greeting upon reaching the train tracks, which the Guardian was pretty satisfied to see.
After making sure everyone was well taken care of, Sausage set off to get his own work done. He did not spare a single thought to how often the dark gaze behind blond locks drifted his way.
-
They met again when the sun over the mesa got too hot for them to work. Tumble Town’s saloon was bustling with all the helpers that had come inside to escape the heat and rest for a while. Sausage, for one, had no trouble weaving his way across the crowd and towards the duo sitting by the bar.
Vilde, the sturdy elf, managed to pull some conversation out of the man she had been put to work with. His name was Terrence, she told; he came from a small ranch in a very far away land he refused to speak about, but which he referred to with some fondness.
“Aww, have you met Larisa yet?” Sausage interjected. “Xe’s Sanctuary’s best shepherd, I’m sure xe would love a helping hand with the animals!”
“Maybe,” Terrence replied, softspoken. His hair, no doubt an inconvenience, had since been braided back, but few strands still found a way to fall over his eyes. His face was littered with little scars. “I ain’t got much experience with sheep, but if Larisa needs help with cows, I’m pretty much a magnet for them.”
“I guess that makes you a cowboy,” Vilde chirped, a proud glint in her eyes as her new friend sighed with lighthearted disapproval.
The minutes ticked by, and as it often happens to him, Sausage wasn’t sure how they got to the topic they got. He had just finished a long-winded story about his and Joel’s complicated relationship — not sparing details about the other people with whom he had all sorts of “complicated relationships” — when he finally decided to take a breather. Much to his mildly horrified audience’s relief.
Almost as if on cue, a familiar flutter of wings made itself heard outside. The Guardian of Sanctuary turned around to find a certain teenager standing timidly by the entranceway. The brightest of grins immediately illuminated his face.
“Hermes, my boy!” He shouted, waving frenetically as if from across a field. “I’m right here, come on over!”
Anyone with even the slightest observational skills could tell that the last thing the boy wanted was to be perceived by the saloon full of people. They shrunk into themself as if hoping they could disappear if they just didn’t move. But they couldn’t really do much when both of their fathers were some of the most flamboyant people in all of the empires. Sausage remained regrettably unaware of it.
Vilde and Terrence watched with distinct forms of interest as Hermes won over his hesitation and approached his father, who promptly gave him a loving kiss on the cheek as a greeting.  He was still little for a demigod, and his soft appearance would have you think him no older than an early pre-teen.
“Oh, do you remember Vilde, Hermes?” Sausage questioned. “And this here is Terrence! He moved to Sanctuary a few weeks ago, isn’t that nice?”
The elf had met Sausage’s child a handful of times over the years she had lived in Sanctuary. Still not enough for them to return her smile with quite the same enthusiasm as her.
Terrence, on his part, tilted his head with thinly veiled curiosity. It was as if the boy had kickstarted a furious thought process that made for a very amused conclusion.
“So you’re that Hermes I’ve heard so much about.” Tipping an imaginary hat, he smiled at the teen. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”
They nodded in what was almost a greeting. The two of them stared at each other for maybe a moment too long before Hermes was no longer able to hold eye contact.
“What are you doing here?” Sausage asked, oblivious.
Hermes vacillated, opening and closing their mouth a couple of times. In the end, they opted to speak with their hands.
“Dad left me in Sanctuary early. I couldn’t find you.”
“Oh? Oh god, I’m so sorry! You must have been waiting so long— I told Joel I was busy today!” Sausage voiced his frustration dramatically. He sighed, then eyed his child with concern. “Does Thunder Daddy know you left Sanctuary? Did you come here all on your own?”
The boy made a face.
“I’m not five anymore.”
“Aw, you’ll always be my baby boy, even if you’re a hundred years old!”
The Guardian captured his son in a tight embrace, earning a squawk from them. Vilde laughed into her glass of water, trying not to embarrass them further, while Terrence observed the scene with a mix of fondness, amusement and something a little deeper, but undecipherable.
-
In the end, Sausage left earlier than intended, only taking his time to report back to the Sheriff and make sure everyone who came with him was still well. The others stayed for an hour or two more before most of them started heading back to Sanctuary. Terrence, on the other hand, seemed hesitant to leave.
“I was thinking... maybe I should stay here for the night,” he said, a little sheepish. He and the extroverted elf who had so promptly adopted him as a friend stood outside, where a few people still mingled about after a day’s work. “I would really rather avoid having to take the tram back and forth everyday...”
“Oh, tell me about it.” The Sheriff chimed in. He sat on a chair at the front porch of the saloon, leaning back against the wall. “Those damn rails give me motion sickness for days. Why don’t people just walk places anymore?”
“We can go walking if you want to,” Vilde offered.
“I dunno. I don’t think we’d get there before dark.” He placed his hands on his hips and looked up at the sky, musing. “I don’t wanna keep you out too late. I mean,” the man eyed Vilde with an awkward smile. “You could probably crush a zombie’s head with your bare hands, no offence, but I’d still feel bad.”
The elf opened her mouth to protest, only to get  interrupted by the Sheriff.
“Pretty sure there’s room in the inn, if you want.” He knocked on the window behind him. “I know those people from Stratos are staying over. Considering you’re helping us fix the town and all that, I think the innkeep will be more than happy to have ya.”
Terrence let out a sigh of relief. He smiled gratefully, not quite meeting the Sheriff’s eyes.
“You’re sure you’re staying?” Vilde asked. He nodded. “Well... I’ll warn Sausage about it, then.” She gave him a firm pat on the shoulder and a grin. “Be seeing you tomorrow, Terry!”
The Sheriff watched him wave off the elf as she skipped away. When it was just the two of them left, they stood there, occasionally exchanging some idle conversation. The old man found that Terrence was quite the pleasant company, albeit a generally timid one, with an easy laughter and a witty mind. The man’s competent rancher stories were enough to keep him amused until the sun came down, by which time they decided to enter the saloon-inn.
He didn’t drink, though. After Terrence bid him good night and disappeared upstairs, the Sheriff kept an eye out for any signs of trouble outside. He hadn’t felt so restless in years, and it rubbed him in all sorts of wrong ways.
Little did he know that, later that evening, the timid blond man with streaks of grey hair and face littered with little scars would manage to sneak his way into the Mezalean house on the other side of the hills. The place, albeit more or less intact, had no signs of living other than a few recent footprints of red sand and some disturbed dust on the shelves. The Sheriff, for one, never bothered checking it out, which made it perfect for hiding things.
Terrence opened a chest to find a set of clothes he unceremoniously changed into. They smelled like gunpowder, and he — Jimmy, he reminded himself at the sight of the heart-shaped scar on his chest. His name is Jimmy — couldn’t possibly feel more comfortable in them.
As he stepped into the small hidden cave next to the building, he couldn’t help but stare at his own reflection on a near-dry puddle under the moonlight. A faint red tint in his otherwise dark eyes stared back at him. It was a wonder that no one seemed to pay attention to it all day long. Not that he was complaining: it felt like waltzing around memories that couldn’t quite look him in the eye anymore. It’s an empowering feeling, despite the rather pathetic persona he had chosen to play in front of them.
Inside of a hole in the wall of the cavern, concealed behind an inconspicuous stone block, a lantern of bright, pulsating red light called to him. He held it like a long lost friend.
They had business to attend to.

Red Emerald; Power
Tumblr media
For Sonic, I got a lot of inspiration from Sailor Moon, using,,, Sailor Moon’s sequences haha They’re both iconic characters from the 90s and also they’re both the first media I was exposed to as a child. And look how adorable he is in this style, he’s so cute
Sonic posses the Red Emerald; Power, represents love, passion and strength. Also, emits a heated energy. He’s a character to look up to, giving unfathomable positivity to everyone around him, and questionable but good morals.
Whether he’s the mute, teasing, and protective hero from Japan or the boasting, unpredictable, and quick talking hero from the States. He provides strength for everyone.
White Emerald; Wish
Tumblr media
Tails’ sequence is inspired by Wish Upon a Plaedies, I haven’t watched it but Subaru’s(lolcar) sequence seemed really sweet and calm but still had a childish touch. Which I think suits him.
Tails posses the white emerald; Wish, represents purity, goodness, and innocence. He’s very intelligent yes which brings a unique form of menace(twitter takedown) haha but he’s still a child and still discovering himself n other people. He’s beginning to grow as a hero. “I want to be like him” Tails still depends on his older friends around him, which is okay. “I wish Sonic were here”
Cyan Emerald; Spirit
Tumblr media
Knuckles’ sequence is inspired by Phantom Thief Jeanne, Jeanne’s sequence, there’s really not a lot of reasons why I chose hers other than that her anime is based off of an actual religion haha Knuckles is, on some technicality, religious. Also Jeanne’s sequence is a good one, great choreography, 10/10 magical
Knuckles posses the Cyan Emerald; Spirit, represents the soul of all living things, devotion, tranquility, and truth. Often associated with the moon, water, and sky.
Knuckles’ absolute devotion to being the guardian of the Master Emerald goes beyond universes. He’ll do anything to get back with the Master Emerald is they’re separated.
He cares for the Island’s plants, animals, and spiritual life. Knuckles may be gullible, but that’s because he values integrity and would assume someone is being truthful as him. He’s the embodiment of the Cyan Emerald.
Names and descriptions of the Chaos Emeralds belong to DeviantArt user MintStarMari. They gave a better explanation of them and went into more detail :> a really good job

Danganronpa Headcanons
General Headcanons:
Maki has several bird feeders, squirrel feeders, and just other foods left outside for animals. She refills these everyday
Himiko has dwarfism
Miu uses slurs because she doesn’t know the meaning behind them, she assumes it’s just another name for a group of people (she got corrected by Kaede and is now working on it)
When Kiyo thinks that someone “would be a good friend for sister”, he really means that he likes them and he thinks they would get along if he didn’t feel like he was cheating on his sister
Angie wishes her name was Angelica
Ryoma has the “Hang In There” poster
Kiyo wears anything as long as he’s covered, gender roles don’t phase him, only gendered terms
Kokichi knows morse code
Kaito and Shuichi have a “secret” handshake (it’s pretty simple and Kaito wants to use it everywhere), Maki refuses to join in on it
Hiro got the scar on his back from playing with raccoons when he was younger, he got along with most of them but sometimes they would attack him and he would cry because "His friends hurt him" (he is the reason his mom smokes /j)
Hiro's mom is from Japan and his dad is African American
Tenko and Kiyo drive each other to therapy
Kiyo, Mikan, Toko, Mukuro, and Nagito all went to an inpatient together and had group therapy, they’re like a weird little family now
In this therapy family, Kiyo and Mukuro act most like siblings towards each other, Nagito is a very protective big brother, Mikan constantly fawns over the rest of them, and Toko likes to pretend they don’t exist because “they embarrass her”
Kiyo and Angie are best friends, it used to be just because Kiyo was fascinated by Angie but they ended up getting along very well
Chihiro knows tons of memes and is very into meme culture
Mondo used to go to plays and musicals with Daiya (they snuck in) and he is a very good actor because of post performance meetings
Mahiru loves taking photos of her friends and has a three whole flash drives full of photos
Izuru loves blankets and soft things
Kaito is scared of the dark and he has a bunch of glow in the dark stars and moons on his ceiling, he also has a bunch of stuffies (a lot of which have astronauts suits or other space related things)
Ibuki has several younger siblings
Kokichi is an orphan and was at the same orphanage as Maki, they just never interacted much
Kokichi and Miu are friends, they just don’t seem like it to most people
No one from V3 kills bugs, they get Gonta to gently remove them from the premise (and sometimes he keeps them in his room)
Hiro has the self-assigned role of dad in their his friend group, he does cringey things like leaves messages in their lunch and talks as if he was like 20 years older than he is
Mikan’s stutter is from nervousness, but Toko’s is a real stutter
Fuyu is lactose intolerant which is why he hates milk, Peko never has anything with lactose in it because their home never had any
This is actually why Peko got sick in chapter 1, she didn’t realize the food she ate had cheese in it and she wasn't used to it so it made her stomach upset
Gundham isn’t vegan, but he is a vegetarian who pays very close attention to where he gets his meat from. This is because he knows that many animals that have become live stock can suffer more if not used the way humans have bred them to. Also he knows that humans are omnivores and the circle of life just works like that.
Kyoko paints in her free time
Hifumi was bullied in school because of his looks which is why he got so into fandoms and fiction
Makoto and Komaru are impulsive huggers, Toko (and Sayaka in a non-despair AU) has been the most affected by this
Mahiru has a pet bird, maybe a duck or a chicken
Mahiru definitely goes to Gundham’s house with her bird
Kyoko is the rep for class 78, Chiaki is the rep for class 77, and Kirumi is the rep for class 79; much to Kyoko and Kirumi's displeasure, everyone just calls them the class mom
Yasuhiro is a vegan
Mukuro and the chicken are best friends
After Mikan gets a lot of therapy, she learns that her bullies actually caused her many permanent issues, such as slight deafness in her left ear, visual impairments, chronic back pain, and tons of scars that didn’t get healed correctly (some of which were infected)
Celeste has a whip collection
Kokichi is a sugar addict
Hiyoko has 6 cats, Mikan is heavily allergic to cats, Hiyoko loves when Mikan comes over because of this. Mahiru isn't as pleased
Rantaro took in Shuichi as his little brother
Ahoges express emotions
During the tragedy Izuru saw the ROD as his children and took care of them (kinda-)
Kokichi’s whole personality was a lie in V3 and I’ll give my specifics for his real one. He’s caring to his friends and he’s very protective over his “family” (D.I.C.E.) he is very manipulative but he normally doesn’t use it for truly bad things, normally just pranks. He has trouble differentiating between reality and fantasy so he tends to be apathetic towards death. He’s super touch starved like he clings to people constantly. Also he lies less.
Kokichi got Kaito a fake plant as a prank once but he saw how happy Kaito was ("Oh hey Kokichi doesn't hate me") so he didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth, Kaito didn’t find out until Maki said something about it
Angie makes sculptures of her friends to bless them and to keep her company when she’s lonely
The WOH were informally adopted by Toko, Komaru, and Genocider
Yasuhiro has a candle collection
Izuru likes flowers, Kotoko would make him flower crowns
Makoto has a bracelet with a 4 leaf clover in it that he wears for assessments and meetings for good luck
Hiro forces the THH survivors gang to do his daily prayers with him
Sonia and Gundham visit King and Queen Nevermind monthly, King Nevermind loves the Dark Devas of Destruction
Kaito is a feminist
Chihiro and Chiaki are siblings
Sometimes Chihiro helps Chiaki program mods for the video games she likes and it’s a fun sibling bonding experience
Tenko has done some serious work to get over her misandrist beliefs
Gundham, Sonia, Ryoma, and Peko all help at and make constant donations to many animal shelters, Fuyu gets dragged along sometimes as well
Classes 77 and 78 all went to Kotoko’s first performance after she felt comfortable enough to try out, this made her feel much less anxious
Same thing with all of the WOH, Jataro’s first diorama showcase and Masaru’s first game
Nagisa and Monaca don't really have any events they go to
Celeste has a music box that she uses to calm down
Ibuki and Ultimp are often questioned about whether they are dating or not and have to constantly say no
Sometimes class 77 holds big uno tournaments and Nagito or Chiaki always win and Fuyuhiko always flips the table
This actually reminds quite a few people that despite the fact Fuyu is small and looks cute he is extremely strong
Ibuki has heterochromia, her left eye is the blue of her hair streaks and her right eye is the pink we see in the game
Tsumugi will often copy sprite poses from the DR1 characters without realizing it
DR1 was Tsumugi’s favorite season without question
Genocider likes to use her hands when talking, she also likes to play (literally) with her hair when she’s bored
Hiyoko loves playing ddr
Mahiru loves watermelons
Chihiro smells likes oranges because of a perfume he has been using for years
In the tragedy world, Class 77 all does something special for Chiaki as a memorial
Sonia loves strawberry milk
Mikan’s favorite animal is a bunny
New block bc I ran out of room
Shuichi is sometimes a mannequin for Tsumugi (most often against his will)
Izuru would often stay with Nagito and the WOH
Rantaro goes to all of Kiyo and Angie’s meetings/outings/rituals to make sure it doesn’t get too out of hand
Angie's island is Rota, she lived in Songsong (I went down a huge rabbit hole but I won't explain all of my reasonings behind this)
Souda and Miu are siblings
Nuerodivergent Headcanons:
Genocider developed as a defensive alter, she loves Toko (in her own weird way) and pretends to hate her so Toko doesn’t get embarrassed
Ibuki has ADHD, she needs stimulation mostly with her mouth, fingers, and hearing
Kiyo has autism
When Mikan gets depressive she braids her hair
Kokichi stims with arm flaps and jumping
Ibuki stims with hand flaps, spins, and tapping her arm/leg like she’s playing a keyboard
Kiyo fidgets with his necklace, which is why it’s there in the first place
Izuru gets overstimulated easily
Aoi stims by balling up her fists and twisting her wrists
Nagito stims with rocking
Nagito likes when people play with his hair or give him headpats
Akane has ADHD
Nagito has dermatillomania
Miu has ADHD
Although Kaz is nurotypical, he tends to miss certain social cues since they never applied to Miu and she was really the only other person he hung out with
Junko has DID, it was mostly repressed but during the trajedy she kinda let it out, however they're all sill developing and she's still semi-convinced it's because she gets bored of her personality
Taka has asd
Gundham also has asd
Chiaki has narcolepsy
Along with all of his other medical conditions, Nagito also has ASPD
Kaito has ADHD

Tenko has undiagnosed ADHD ("let's just send her to hit things surely that will fix it")

Kaede is bi with a preference for women, she used to think she was lesbian; I am in a constant state of flux with Kaede's gender

Kokichi is hardly ever not on Gonta, piggyback rides, sitting on his shoulder, swinging from his arm (he's worried Kokichi will fall off), etc.
Ryota and Imposter help each other with their...bad eating habits
Chiaki and Mikan take scheduled naps together
Kiibo is obsessed with cuddles and hand holding, they ask their partner all the time
Ibuki has a small plastic purple spoon she’ll bop Mikan on the head with if she starts self deprecating or using unhealthy coping mechanisms, the spoon is wrapped in washy tape of inspiration phrases
Tenko once threw like 20 people when she lost Himiko in a crowd
Komaru got glowing jewelry for her and Toko on their first date so then Toko can be less scared of the dark, Toko hates the jewelry but wears it because she loves Komaru (she tells her it’s just because of the dark tho)
Rantaro listens to Kiyo info dump for hours and pays very close attention, sometimes they'll even add some info that they've learned
Rantaro got Kiyo into the mental hospital and checked on him daily until he was let out
Shuichi finds mysteries kind of boring but likes romances, he’s very embarrassed about this but Kokichi teases him relentlessly
When Izuru gets upset Nagito will collect all fluffy things in the house and make a pile around Izuru
After a while of Rantaro and Kokichi dating Rantaro was invited on a DICE mission, Kokichi got hurt really bad and everyone in dice was panicking but Rantaro was just calmly assisting his boyfriend
Rantaro brings Kiyo on trips and vice versa and they use it as an escape from the stress of life
Kiyo loves all of Rantaro’s sisters in a familial way and they really helped him gain a positive female influence
After Kiyo got out of the inpatient he used things he learned to help Rantaro with his depression since Rantaro doesn’t want to go to therapy
Rantaro often helps Kiyo with feeling masculine
Sonia and Ibuki like to mess around with different clothing aesthetics

its actually good that the anime has been making me rethink himeno bc theres been more discourse around her (including some genuine poor taste ones about her and makima doing a "groom-off") and i genuinely didnt feel strogky enugh about her to really care. but with the recent ep + a quick reread of her chapters she reads as neither an angel nor as a toxic predator but rather as v similar to misato nge to me. as in like, shes someone who is very clearly deeply traumatized, who has a poor sense of boundaries in general in part bc of that trauma, and who was handed this teenage boy as a partner to eventually lose but instead he lived. it's very clear to me that while shes not what id call actively predatory, she does have some massive issuss in how she treats aki and then denji–i dont think shes been grooming aki, as grooming is a process and one that requires actual thought and planning, while himeno is like...... her romantic interest in aki is creepy but he is in his early ywenties by the time shes seriously considering courting him. and with denji its not a process either, rather a series of pisspoor decisions coupled with spcietal expectations that it isnt bad for an older woman to act inappropriately with a teenage boy.
tbc this isnt defending her or saying shes just a poor soul nlah blah quite the contrary, theres a reason i compare her to misato. your mileage can vary on what to call her or what words to use to describe her actions, but they are at the very very least deeply inappropriate and creepy. and like, its important to think of why shes like this and what her actions mean in the larger context of chainsaw man's exploration of abuse and power dynamics. she is, again, deeply traumatized and alone, and when aki shows all signs that hes going to live she puts a SHITTON on him and develops a really unhealthy relationship to him; even as a teen he seems more aware of appropriate boundaries than she is and has to learn to navigate their relationship in a far stricter manner than she does.
but its worth asking why they became partners in the first place–to question the environment of public safety. its not jsut that rookies die so easily, its that anybody can join as long as they have the will to 1) give up on their lives entirely to go adter the gun devil 2) make contracts that will cost them immensely. aki is a teen when he joins, hes lost his entire family and he's what public safety seeks–new blood, someone who'll disregard their safety for work, someone with no attachments. the buddy system is presented as being for safety reasons, but ngl i think its also to purposefully foster codependency and an active desire for vengeance when one buddy inevitably dies. public safety has tight regulations and a union and paid holidays and they are very okay with roping in vulnerable teenagers to their deaths or worse! how old was himeno when she joined? did she do it for the money for her fathers medicine? did anybody notice this backstory is revealed at the same time we learn kobeni was forced by her family to join public safety? at the same time its made clear that power and denji have absolutely no agency in this situation?
i think...... himeno is, at best, deeply irresponsible and lax on boundaries and has a real peoblem with using teenage boys as emotional crutches. at worse she assumes none of her behaviour could ever be genuinely bad because shes an older woman and theyre all colleagues, haha hoohoo, and yeah that makes her a predatory creep. shes also incredibly tragic, and its ok to admit both these things coexist in her. she's another pawn that works at public safety, a resource to be consumed, the deaths around her and her trauma the fuel to her workplace motivation. and like, it says a lot that everyone is perfectly ok with her behaviour towards denji–theres obviously the societal perceptiom of that kind of dynamic (even as himeno herself is like oh shit thats illegal aint it), but also like.... relationships there are deeply skewed on purpose because death and suffering and fucked up hookups and the exploitation of vulnerable people–including teenagers–is so normalized. like what, you gonna call your adult colleague *predatory* for flirting with the their own teenage colleague who'll probably die a gruesome death any day bc thats just part of the job? you gonna talk about how its weird for your workplace acquaintance to be so intimate with their underage buddy when you're currently working with a 15 year old who is consumed by vengeance for their family and will either die within the year or stay as a fucked up husk of a person selling their every body part to save your life?
