Hope everything is well with the doggos! I just recently adopted a lil guy who came from an abused home. He get's all the love and then some. <3 On the topic of fur babies How would Ro's react to an MC who always when they see a dog they will point and say "look dog" . even if in the middle of a convo. no matter how serious the conversation.

August would, initially, find the habit to be a bit irritating. They’re not a big dog person, and, on top of that, they kind of take it personally when you’re not giving them attention. August’s an attention whore. With time, they’ll find it a bit endearing but they'll still act a little grumpy every time you interrupt/ignore them.

Blair finds it incredibly adorable. If you’re out walking, they’ll ask the owner if the dog can have some pets. Blair knows every single dog in their neighbourhood by name, so expect lots of snuggles! Blair will be a teeny tiny bit exasperated if they’re trying to have a serious conversation with you, though.

Wren will try to spot dogs before you. They’ll get a bit competitive and try to see more dogs than you. Their attention will remain on the dog too, so much so they’ll completely forget what you were talking about.

Neve is a bit confused at first. They don’t understand your obsession, or why you shift your entire focus onto every dog you see. Eventually they’ll just accept and expect your reaction every time there’s a dog. They don’t feel too strongly about it.

ꕤ You used to live in the hustle and bustle of the city. Though it was fun, joyful, and lively, it was also etched with selfishness, chaos, and worldliness.

ꕤ The two of you grew up together, admiring each other from the start. She was with you and you were with her. Your hearts are knit together like a puzzle, attached to the hip, always inseparable.

ꕤ You were able to view the majestic city lights, walk in enormous buildings, listen to the jolly chittering and chattering of the crowd. You witnessed pleasure and happiness… 

Deep inside, your heart still willed for home. 

ꕤ Once you were both stable, you wanted to pursue one of your dreams of finding a place with peace, safety, and comfort. Just like how you feel with each other.

ꕤ You traveled west, to find a peaceful place. One that you can handle, sustain, admire, and protect.

ꕤ You spent months, traveling day and night to find this rural place, to build a cottage, and stay with her.

It wasn’t too flashy and elegant, it was what you just needed.

ℝ𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕖:

ꕤ She would lie on your chest/ vise versa but most of the time she would wake up first just to adore you 🥺 

ꕤ I’d say she’s a very light sleeper and she usually observes her surroundings and it became subconscious for her to wake up before you.

(There’s just the instinct inside her to protect her babyy <3)

ꕤ She would stroke your hair, adoring how the newly-risen sun shines on your skin. She glances at your body, glad to have found you and to be loved by you. In her thoughts, I’m sure she is down bad frrrrr (And I failed to mention, the sweet nothing she would whisper into your skin 😏)

(and damn, it’s 7am but her heart flutters at the thought of how adorable you look, vulnerable and fragile in her arms !) This takes like 30 minutes cuz idk she just loves you that much

ꕤ She will give you tiny li’l pecks when she thinks that it’s time to get out of bed, kissing you all over your face, greeting you a “Hunny, wake up now! Time for another day~”

You will be all grumpy at first but once you finally adjust your eyes to her, you’re a simp as well. And it gives you the sudden boost of serotonin to get out of bed 🤣

ꕤ Soon enough, you both are gonna feed the animals together. Likely, you guys would have a few chickens, ducks (on a river. yall just randomly give em some), 4 cats, 1 protector dog, 2 big doggos that act like a cat (they're vv lazy), and 2 horses. Mikasa would let them roam around for a while after their meal 

ꕤ Around mid-morning, you finish eating with her and she heads off to the woods to hunt some food and fill in on the supplies. To bargain, you will plant some trees and some plants nearby with whatever seed you have around.

ꕤ Upon waiting for her arrival, you would usually cook her favorite dessert, either cinnamon buns, strawberry cookies/ croissants, apple pie, a cake, etc. 

In your spare time, you'll sew/ crochet/ knit, do a bit of laundry, and/ or read a chapter or two.

ꕤ She arrives, ofc she'll anticipate a li’l kiss on the cheek as she enjoys her treat.

ꕤ On golden hour, I could see that as the perfect time for strawberry picking. You both would sometimes have mini picnics there. And go on a mini swing y'all have built in.

ꕤ As you both head back to the cottage, you sit by the waterfalls nearby. Sometimes, you would fetch some water but at times, you'll just be enjoying it, splishing and splashing.

ꕤ Come evening, you will be cooking but now with her. You give the animals some of their food and tidy up their areas.

ꕤ You clean up yourselves, preparing for bed. And you both doze off to sleep, after having a small pillow talk about how the day was.

ꕤ Sometimes, you wake up before sunrise just to walk around and explore. 

ꕤ As seen from when you both woke up, she’s very protective. I’m sure that she would literally argue with you over the smallest things, like slicing too near to the knife, going near a thorny bush, running off to a deeper end of the woods before her, and touching random things you’re fascinated with.

ꕤ You named some of your animals rooted from the things that connect you (e.g. a fav character yall share, ship name you previously had off each other, fav food)

ꕤ She dedicates a flower/plant she encounters to you.

ꕤ She may act all tough and stern when she’s serious but she has a soft spot for u

ꕤ She brings you to hunt sometimes, but she’s extra scared and anxious when her hands are full

ꕤ If you do stay home, one thing that she also likes doing is kissing your nape when you’re doing something as she arrives.

ꕤ She oddly likes to sniff you sometimes… But hey, she likes your pheromones !

ꕤ You guys have matching Polaroid cameras and you would sneak pics of each other when given the chance. (And you have 3 albums of them)

ꕤ Overall, it warms her heart to see how happy you are. She appreciates your infatuation with nature.

It was so fucking hot in Bogota. Torturous. Not even a fan made a big difference at this point. Only sending waves of hot air in your face. Everyone was pissed off. The cases were stalling. There were no leads. Nothing to hold onto.

Steve let his head fall back, "I am boiling in my own body". You watched him while fanning yourself with a handful of papers, "I have sweat dripping down the places you don't want to know about", you huffed, making the American laugh out loud. It was easy with him. Steve was nothing but a little puppy. One of those men you could easily read.

"Why are we even pretending that we're working", Steve grumbled once more. Your eyes darted to Javi who sat across from you. Frowning as always. Murdering the paper in front of him with his eyes. An idea crossed your mind, "Give me your car keys, agent", you reached toward Javi, and he raised a brow at you, "Come on now, I'm taking you two to paradise", you chipped. "Your bed?", Javi asked, you rolled your eyes, "In your dreams". Snatching the keys from him, you ushered them both up and out of the office.

The windows were fully down, and music was playing. Steve was lying down in the back. You tapped your finger on the steering wheel. Javi was smoking a cigarette, hand sneaking to squeeze your thigh under your dress. "So, any clue as to where you're taking us, carino?", Javi finally asked. "I think she finally figured out a way to kill us and get rid of the bodies", Steve laughed making you giggle as well, "Bingo, now shh..."

The place was pretty secluded. You had found it on one of your hikes. The water was glistening in the midday sun but the side of the lake was beneath the shadow of shadows. "Oh, fuck yeah", Steve breathed out, closed the door quickly, pulling his shirt off as he ran towards the lake. You watched him shaking your head slightly. "You're getting in agent?", you asked turning to Javi, he only shook his head, "I hate water". Of course, you thought to yourself, "Is there something you don't hate?", he only shrugged his shoulders, leaning against the car.

You clenched your jaw. This man could be a serious walking headache when he wanted. But two could play this game. You started to slowly unbutton your dress. Javi held your eye contact, not letting his eyes fall over your body. Oh but you knew that your lacy white set looked great against your tanned skin. Shrugging the material next to Steve's clothes you turned to walk towards the water, "Your loss, I guess".

Oh, you were a sight for sore eyes. Holding back was a challenge for Javi. You two had been secretly dating for a while. Just office romance often got messy so you swore to keep it a secret. He watched you walking in only your underwear. If only Steve wasn't here, he thought to himself. He killed off his cigarette. Ripping his shirt off his sweaty body. Javi managed to catch you mid-walk towards the lake. Quickly swiping you off your feet. You let out a squeal. Hands instantly moving to wrap around his neck as Javi plunged into the water.

The coldness felt so good. You felt your body relaxing instantly. Then Javi's lips were on yours. A silly decision considering that you two were underwater but you two surfaced shortly after. His hands were holding you closer to his chest. You loved him like this. When he let himself go. When he left his grumpy persona behind. "You changed your mind quickly", you muttered, brushing his wet hair away from his face. "You have me in a chokehold, woman", he grumbled, eyes looking for Steve, who was peacefully floating across the lake. "Yet you love it", you nuzzled your nose against his, "Just shut up and kiss me", his rough palms cupped your cheek as Javi pressed his lips to yours once more.

Day 20 | Advent Calendar Masterlist 🎄

Working at a dog shelter has its highs and lows like any job, every day you try your best to make life easier on the dogs that are waiting for a home and the ones who ran away and are waiting for their families to come collect them. Your boss doesn't exactly understand why you love your job as much as you do but then again, he's just a grumpy old man.

Unlike most shelters, this shelter is more like a pound, dogs do unfortunately have a limit of stay which is around 4 weeks for stray and surrendered dogs and 6 weeks for dogs waiting for their owners to pick them up. Luckily, the state you live in doesn't believe in euthanizing the animals and instead, they are taken to a place where they are trained and then used a either therapy dogs that visit children's hospitals or aged care homes to bring happiness to those who need it. 

This winter has been one of the hardest winters for shelters. Running low on stock and unable to get any delivery due to the snow covering most of the roads and with Christmas just around the corner, the budging was tight. After posting a need for help for donations and extra hands to help through the busiest time of year on social media, is when you met a beautiful brunette with her pup, Lucky. 

"So I wasn't exactly sure if we needed anymore food but I was able to get another 8 bags of dry food, they're in the back of my car" Kate smiled softly as you kneeled to pat Lucky, "thank you, Kate and Lucky!" you smiled, scratching behind his right ear, "you both have been such a great help over these past few weeks, you have no idea just how helpful! You stood up facing Kate, unable to hide the smile on your face, "we really can't thank you enough and I know it isn't much but please, take this" you pulled out an envelope from your back pocket and handed it too Kate. As she opened the Christmas card with a $100 bill almost falling to the floor, you gave Lucky a treat. "I can't take this" Kate looked up at you, "please, we did this because we wanted too and you don't owe us anything" she added in hopes to assure you that their help truly came from the heart. 

"Well, you have no choice, you have to take it" you smiled, refusing to take back the money in the Christmas card. "In that case, I will donate it" Kate took a few steps towards the reception and placed the bill into the donation box. "So Lucky and I will be back tomorrow to help you out with clean up duty" she turned to you and smiled, "wait, how did you know that I would be here tomorrow and beside I wouldn't want to intrude on your Christmas with family" you replied. Kate just smiled and grabbed Lucky's lead, "I know you can't leave the puppers on their own for a day, especially on Christmas" She sent you a wink, "merry Christmas eve, y/n" she added before walking out the door. 

The next morning, you arrived at the shelter with homemade dog treats as a little special treat for the dogs. You liked to spend most of the holiday with the doggos since you couldn't bear the thought of them being alone in their cages. After cleaning up each cell from their toileting business over night, you handed out each of their treats and wished them a Merry Christmas. 

"Merry Christmas Y/n!" Kate came in with a big smile, Lucky on her left-hand wish and a bag of wrapped up gifts in her right hand, "Merry Christmas to you and Lucky!" you turned around and returned the smile, Lucky's tail wagging as you walked up to him, "don't think I forgot about you bud!" you kneeled and gave him a treat of his own, noticing the bandana he had on that said "Santa-Paw's little helper", "Lucky has brought some toys for everybody" Kate spoke as she placed down the pack of gifts. 

"Well, aren't you a wonderful helper" you chuckled before standing back to your feet. Kate helped you hand out the new toys for each dog, a ball and a toy stick to keep them entertained while nobody would be at the shelter overnight, "oh and don't worry, I will help you clean up the shredded pieces in the morning" Kate said after the gifts were handed out. "We also have a little gift for you" she added, handing you a Christmas card. 

"Dear Y/n, 

Lucky and I would like to thank you for allowing us to come and give a little extra joy to the holiday this year, we have loved coming and spending time with our new friends, including you!

2023... I got a lot of art done this year compared to past years! Though the year started out slow, between trades and commissions, the first quarter of the year somehow managed to have at least one good drawing a month, even if March's old-sketch-paintover looks a little strange next to all the creatures. XD; May and June continued the theme of painting over old, though June's original was considerably newer than May's. It also took me forever to find it!! Several of the ones I'd been going to put for June turned out to be from different months (no date on them so was going by modified date at first, oops!). And in July of course there was the Clysmia comic, August with the Choco 'comic'. September was another low but I managed to churn out another paintover. October of course had my annual flower-drawing saga with the last one featured here, and in November I got bored and drew Comet, and December held a delightful surprise in the form of a book-illustrating commission. :3 Gonna keep that one to just a preview since it's part of something that'll be published.

June: Progress pic of an absolute freak. An attempt was made to sketch out a hand to keep it from hiding, but I never did get back to this pic... 😂

July: As mentioned above, a comic for my good friend Dia featuring her gal Clysmia!

August: The tail end of a final ArtFight attack against Chocobir! I had so much fun putting in on the Easter eggs, and Choco is so cute!

September: The suave business lizard himself, it's Nell! Another one that's painted over an older sketch. Overall I think I improved the face shape a bit since the sketch? Maybe?

October: The final flower from Floratober 2023! I had a lot of fun and it was so great getting so much feedback this year. The wonders of posting on places other than Tumblr! lol.

November: Comet from Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san! Whenever I need to get away and draw, Comet is there as my comfort anime. :) It's been a while since I've drawn the girl and watched the last bundle of episodes!

December: And of course, December's art! From a very fittingly snowy-themed project. :) I don't know yet how much I'll be able to talk about it, but it's certainly going to keep me busy for a while!

Doggo of the Day!

The Doggo of the Day is this weird little thing I saw at the groomer! I've got no clue what breed it is but it looks grumpy!
