Age of Shadow
(This is a fan-made Messmer questline and ending, not based on cut content or anything of the sort. Source is: I made it up. Thanks to @sermessmers for helping with some of the items, inspiring me, and listening to my crazed ramblings at the midnight hours. Very long post ahead, enjoy!)
After his fight, particularly after the Hornsent has left his arena, you will be able to locate Messmer at the entrance to the keep’s infirmary, near the West Rampart site of grace. He will be standing in thought before these three chairs:
Messmer has donned a cloak made of Shadow and patched himself up using black gauze (see drawing above). When prompted, he says:
“Hello, Tarnished. There art three chairs here, but none fit me. That seemeth an oversight, does it not?”
Messmer does not turn to face you when he speaks. When prompted again, he says:
“… Thou hast not walked away yet. Doth thee needeth something?”
>Ask how he is alive
pleasantly “Serpents art exceedingly difficult to kill. Believe me, I have tried. Is that all?”
>Ask why he is not attacking
“I had underestimated thee, Tarnished. Thee hast strength befitting a lord. I shouldst not have doubted my mother.” pause “The serpent didst not expect a lightless creature like itself to be elevated to such a standing. It appears things hath changed in mine absence. I have much to learn.”
>leaving dialogue
“Tarnished, I have a request, if thou’rt up for it. I hath misplaced some notes of mine, a recipe for a particular physick. If thee bringeth it to me, thee shalt be rewarded. Farewell, for now.”
The key item Messmer’s Notes can be found in the Specimen Storehouse, near the Storehouse, Loft site of grace. It requires climbing up the catwalks and dropping down to an area with bookshelves.

Messmer’s Notes - Barely legible cursive scrawl written by Messmer the Impaler. Details a recipe for a medicine once derived from one of his mother’s blessings. It appears to be based off a childhood memory, with a few added ingredients “for taste”.
When you return to the infirmary, Messmer will be kneeling in the “O, Mother” gesture before a shrine to Marika that he has set up, the three chairs neatly pushed out of the way. When prompted, he retracts his hands, and says:
“Hello again, Tarnished. Didst thee findeth the recipe?”
You may then give him Messmer’s Notes. Alternatively, you may choose to give him a Blessing of Marika if there is one in your inventory.
>Offer Messmer’s notes
“Oh! I thank thee. Here, thy compensation.” gives you a Rune of an Unsung Hero
>Offer Blessing of Marika
“Oh, this is… Where didst thee get this? Nay, ‘tis not my place to ask. My sincerest gratitude, Tarnished.” gives you a Marika’s Rune
You may now ask Messmer more questions:
>Ask about the jarfolk
“Ah. What remains of my mother’s people. I hath tried desperately, for aeons it seemeth, to ease their suffering, yet… At what point is keeping a patient alive no longer in the interest of their wellbeing? At what point does it becometh insanity?“ shakily “I still feeleth as though I hast failed them…”
The second question only unlocks after you have defeated both Rellana and Gaius. If you have not, when you leave and travel back to the West Rampart site of grace, you will be greeted by the sound of Messmer weeping. Walking within ten feet of him or breaking objects in the room will cause him to stop. When prompted, he says:
trying to sound intimidating but holding back tears “Begone, Tarnished.” shakily “Messmer does not wish to speak to thee at this moment…”
Leaving and traveling back to the West Rampart site of grace will let you choose the second question:
>About your friends…
“I knoweth, Tarnished. They were in thy way, were they not? Rellana, and Gaius… I shall grant them a hero’s burial. May they returneth to the Erdtree yet, even if that is a vain hope in this land.” quietly “My friends, forgive me… For I have availed you nothing…”
>leaving dialogue
“Tarnished, thee can travel to the Lands Between, can thee not? I have another request for thee.”

A cutscene plays wherein Messmer carefully pulls a snake from his eye socket. During it, he says: “After shedding the seal, I recalled abilities lost to me. Some wonderful, some terrible, some… Gah! Hah… For thee, Tarnished. On thy travels, I bid thee well.”
Thus he will grant you this key item:

Juvenile Serpent - One of the base serpent’s progeny, pulled from the eye of Messmer the Impaler. Writhes around often. Stares longingly at the world, or perhaps stares hungrily at you. Who can tell? “Do take care of it, wilt thee?”
After reluctantly accepting the serpent, when you travel back to any grace in the Lands Between that Melina can spawn at, there will be a new option to Speak to Melina. She will say:
“What in the world is that creature you travel with? It seems to like me… You are exceedingly warm, little snake.” pause “It appears hungry. I can feed it some runes, if you would like?”
>Accept (-100 runes)
“Snakes are said to be traitors to the Erdtree, but we too are walking the path of heresy. Let’s get you fed, little one… There. Do tell, where did you find it?” pause “A long lost demigod pulled it out of his eye? Have you been afflicted with madness? No, you are entirely sincere. Huh. Well, it seems harmless enough.”
The serpent must be fed one more time to continue the quest. Speak to Melina at any grace and she will say:
“Hello. The little one hungers once again. Would you like to offer some runes?”
>Accept (-100 runes)
“I am surprised at its good nature, though I have witnessed it spit a red flame when angered. It is impossible not to question what sort of demigod it came from…”

An interaction occurs wherein Messmer materializes in a shadowy haze—not unlike the spirit fog through which Melina appears to you. He introduces himself: “Ah, so it was thee feeding the wee serpent? I knew it smelled like kin… I am Messmer, and thee?”
dumbfounded “Melina?”
“I see. Melina. Sister of mine, I knoweth of the kindling that smolders within thee.” he summons a small flame in his hand to show her “There is no need to burn thy self again. The Tarnished and I shall see it through.”
After this, the description of the Juvenile Serpent item updates:
Juvenile Serpent - One of the base serpent’s progeny, pulled from the eye of Messmer the Impaler. Prefers the company of the kindling maiden, as her touch feels like home. It will not bite the hand that feeds it. Serves as an anchor between the Lands Between and the veiled Land of Shadow.
(Optional) Taking the serpent in this state to the Church of Vows site of grace allows you to choose the new option, Speak to Messmer, which will summon him in shadowy spirit:
“Thou hast met Miriel? We became acquainted when Rellana once brought me here… ‘Tis a burning memory now, but the pastor is a wise beast indeed.” he looks to the sky “‘Heresy is not native to the world. All things can be conjoined’. We have forgotten that. We have forgotten ourselves, what we held most dear. To repair shattered Gold, I must layeth bare the ugliest truths of this world, those which I have been the bearer of for so long—I must mend it with Shadow. For there is no light that exists without the dark.”
Taking the serpent to the Forge of the Giants site of grace allows you to choose Speak to Messmer:
“Thou hast done well to come this far, Tarnished. Long have the prophets uttered of this moment. ‘Tis not lightly I choose to fulfill it, but… I wouldst prefer to give my men the option to return home, if nothing else. Art thou prepared to commit a cardinal sin, with me?”
>Accept

A cutscene plays, in which the Erdtree and Scadutree are burned at once in Messmer’s flame. Messmer speaks:
“Tarnished, hold my kindling aloft. From here, I shall do my part… O, Erdtree, and Scadutree both, ye shall burn together. For the sake of the new Lord, and a new world, mended.”
You continue your journey to Farum Azula and then back to Leyndell, Capital of Ash. Sir Gideon Ofnir will have access to the incantation “Messmer’s Orb” in his fight (why wasn’t this a thing already???). At the Queen’s Bedchamber site of grace, you must choose to Speak to Messmer one last time:
“Ah… Thou art close. Within the Erdtree, I intend to confront my mother. If it be true she has become infirm, and lost all sense of self… Then I shalt taketh her place. The Two Fingers rejected me long ago, but I am yet capable. If it cometh to this, will thee be my Lord?”
>Accept
“I thank thee. We have come a long way, Tarnished.” small laugh “When it cometh to thee, I find I have no regrets. Take this, and when the bell tolls, summon me forth. To stand before my mother once again.”
Thus you will be granted this key item:

Mending Rune of the Abyssal Prince - Mending rune gestated by Messmer the Impaler. Used to restore the fractured Elden Ring when brandished by the Elden Lord. Formed of a swirling mass of serpents, and the base serpent biting its own tail. It will embed a Shadow lost back into the Golden Order, restoring balance. The “base” in the base serpent’s name refers both to its nature and the place it once belonged, at the roots of the Erdtree where light does not reach.
After defeating Radagon and Elden Beast, you will have the option to summon Messmer from a shadowy summon sign on the ground, giving this final cutscene:

“‘Those who walk alongside flame shall one day meet the road of Destined Death’… Yet, it seemeth my road hast led me back to thee.”

“Mother… Thee may rest now. I shall put thee, and this world, back together again…”
Messmer gently gives Marika’s head to you, and you place it upon her body, the Elden Ring becoming mended with the abyssal rune. The scene lingers on her as the shadows in the background deepen, and as a squelching sound grows in volume, soon thunderous. From the darkness suddenly emerges the abyssal serpent to swallow her whole, its red eyes burning against the dark:

The scene cuts to black.

Messmer narrates the final scene, showcasing the now physical Erdtree grafted unto its Scadu counterpart: “The fallen leaves tell a story… Of a Tarnished who became Elden Lord... And the serpent that became a god. A god that ushered in a gentle dark, so that this shattered world may heal.
So that the light of Gold can shine ever more brilliantly, against an Age of Shadow."

HTP; Ghoul Lore Audio Log Spoilers/Analysis/Discussion
Dude holy shit uh Spoiler barrier and then all in cause
Okay Okay fuck where to begin this episode literally changes everything okay I guess lets start at the Draught. Based on what we know about this unique Draught, it means Grimal might not be the ghoul?? If the ghoul potentially has this Draught (which I vaguely doubt will come into play in this arc specifically) it could mean anyone could be the ghoul so long as they were only in a place without 1 other person. Atleast I assume so because if they could use this high power Dominate on multiple people simultaneously then this whole operation would be cooked from the start. While I was very mixed on the idea of Gloria as the Ghoul previously, I think its far more possible now. This high level Dominate (Lets assume 4 dots) This ghoul could have access to Rationalize or Forgetful Mind, Or any others in that category. If Grimal is was being commanded to act that could explain why everything is so suspicious around her. Have someone else go in and take care of Occam while the ghoul sits with someone else and has the perfect alibi. So now I think the possibilities for Ghoul are; 1. Grimal is the Ghoul (The Draught is a red herring and simply setting up something in a future arc instead of this current one.) 2. Gloria is the Ghoul & has this Draught; this is based more on Vibes and the fact Gloria doesn't actually do too much in part 1 outside checking Occam's pulse. If she's the ghoul and commanded someone (Namely Grimal) to attack Occam, she would have a vested interested in knowing if the attack was successful. Okay thats about it for my thoughts on the Ghoul right now. Onto the far more important bit of this episode. Because this was not simpyl a Ghoul Lore episode, THIS WAS A MARCKUS LORE EPISODE TROJAN HORSE.
But before the deep Marckus shit- Markus was 12 in 1988. Door was present and seems to be in his 20s or 30s. Boy has not been born yet and Boy is 11 in 2006 so he was born in like 1995. So I think its reasonable to place door as being in his 20s here, having Boy in his 30s. This means Door is probably 8-15? (Maybe) years older than Markus which would make him roughly 40 in modern day. D does look markedly younger in these photographs but I'm not sure if thats art style or actually because he's aged. It does put a damped on my thoughts about D being MUCH older than he seems. But we do know his previous Ex-Wife Rozalia (The Ghoul) is roughly 108 in modern day. It seems to be implied D had met & later married her after she was pretty deep into being a ghoul so there probably was a large age gap already. But it still kinda stands out to me. D is very afraid or Marckus becoming a Ghoul because he sees himself in him. I don't necessarily think D was a ghoul (thought it could explain his weird age). Thought all this might be confirmation Bias as in the more recent episodes D's hair has been more consistently colored with grey streaks when compared to earlier episodes where it was more like a sheen in his hair. It just feels like D has done too much to only be roughly in his 60-70s and very fit. While older people can certainly be in good physical condition it doesnt seem like D has suffered any real negatives from aging? He's MINIMUM 18 years older than Door who is in his 40s but again that's a low ball. I don't know. Alright time for the Marckus stuff. So its rather basic background knowledge that HTP's main cast is inspired by the cast of Warhammer 40k TTS. Now up until this point I had thought it was mostly a baseline thing. Only really carrying over personalities and vague relationships between characters while having the freedom to change them with that background knowledge. But based on this episode it appears to be more relevant.
Whatever the fuck Marckus managed to summon, It was something not even D understood. This is in directly parallel with 40k's Magnus who Marckus is based on. For those who don't know about 40k lore (I don't blame you its VERY long.), Magnus is a Primarch (Emperor's special kids) who ended up being manipulated by 40k's god of trickery and ended up fucking up literally everything because of his lack of thinking things through and the influence of said trickster god. Gods in 40k are manifestations of humanity (and alien's) collective subconscious minds and often take the forms of their most volatile negative aspects. They're entited formed from 'The Warp' which is the source of magic in 40k. Magnus is very naturally tuned to the warp. Almost all the issues in TTS (and 40k) relating to Magnus are because he has a MASSIVE complex. He craves parental affection and affirmation but in TTS every time he thinks hes denied it, some shit goes wrong. When he actually gets that parental affection (Earlier season 2 iirc) he mellows out alot until finding out the only reason the emperor (D's counterpart) brought him back was so that Magnus would act as a pawn and decoy in his 5d chess game to deal with political enemies. Magnus is not happy about this. With all this background information, whats present in this episode slots into place. Marckus seems to have forgotten about the incident yes. The better case is that he blocked out the memory due to trauma. But the worse possibility is that a seed was planted. One that's been festering within him since that time. D may be planning to tell Marckus everything in a few months, But I get the feeling before those months are up, That seed will sprout. In one form or another, Marckus will be given the option to go down the same path of darkness as his predecessor. I don't think Marckus would go for such a path without a push but the one providing that push might be D, even if unintentionally. D is so focused on the forest that he's missing the trees.
#hunter: the parenting#D's sprites were pretty funny cause the heads are like very light shading but the one where he stares forward has really intense shading so#he just randomly gets really grim looking at the most random shit#also I might do a second post theorizing on what Marckus actually summoned but idk if its actual wod lore or original stuff for htp#he wasnt (and still isnt) a mage so I kinda doubt it?

❝The Rune of Death goes by two names; the other is Destined Death. The forbidden shadow, plucked from the Golden Order upon its creation…❞ ❝Miquella the Kind spoke of the beginning. The seduction. And the betrayal. An affair from which Gold arose. And so too was Shadow born.❞ You said in your post that GEQ asked Marika to be her Consort to unite Life and Death when Marika was merely an Empyrean, but it says here that Death only became separated from the Elden Ring upon GO creation. Before it the Death and Life Rune were already together inside of the Elden Ring. GO was also created when Marika became a Goddess.
How do i explain this... to me, Order of Gold exists before Marika, she merely becomes its new God (from very line you quote: Gold arose, not born)
The Order of Gold (which is Primordial Life) has always been there, so is Order of Death & the Moon & Rot & Blood etc… they are broad concepts that are represented by different individuals throughout different ages
it’s the Order the Hornsent wants to inherit (notice how all of their curses are leveled at the Erdtree and Marika personally, not the Golden Order, and how the Minor Erdtree description put forth the concept of Gold without Order)

it’s likely what Placidusax’s Order is as well
(+1 parallel to Godwyn becoming Prince of Death when his mother is Primordial Gold of Life, GEQ is the same with her parents)
Different concepts battle for control of the world (different Two Fingers / Three Fingers)
-> but within those concepts there are also groups battling or replacing each other to represent them:
Hornsent vs Marika vs Ancient Dragon for Primordial Gold / Life
Ancient Death (Helphen) vs Destined Death (GEQ) vs Life in Death (Godwyn)
Black Moon (Nox) vs Full Moon (Rennala) vs Dark Moon (Ranni)
Malenia Rot vs Romina Rot / Messmer Abyssal Serpent vs Rykard Serpent of Blasphemy
Another point is that even within the game mechanic, Death and Life are represented as two separate factions with Death being an actual status effect and Life is what keeping it at bay: Vitality governs resistance to the effects of Death. (in the E3 trailer, the Elden Ring is said to command the Stars and gives Life its full brilliance).
So i view Death as its own equal faction, and not something that only popped up because of Marika. What she did is outright rejecting its existence in her new Age, whereas i imagine under Placidusax's and possibly the Hornsent's envisioned Order, Life & Death will co-exist as a cycle under a same guidance.
Tbh, the thing about love and Consort is mostly shipper talk (that was also based on my interpretation of the lore, but it already diverges far into I-made-this-up-for-yuri). If you want a non-ship version, they are rivals for Godhood & everything else could still happen exactly as any of my other points.
But again, all these are just my personal interpretation.
#btw not just about this anon but i've also got this from comments under my other art as well#im lowkey tired that even my shipping theories now gets scrutinized under canon-compliant lenses. but i get why it happens#since i started writing serious lore theories post-DLC & have to defend them too but grrrrrrrrrrrrrr#i wish i could signal this part is shipper theorizing and this part is formal lore dissect#ask#reply#anon

#medalist chapter 53 just a few hours away. it got here so fast.#this post is not a definitive lore statement as much as it is just the result of my theorizing over these past few months#something must have happened during the early parts of juns career#something which shaped him into the (cold) (bitter) (hurt) adult he is today#& to me this refusal to speak of it on shous (+ the mangas) part reads as an admission of guilt#voidcore.txt#medalist#i think that in a story about young athletes and the adults that help them grow#itd be great to have an example of what happens when one of said adults fucks up#(& that example can be junnie ^_^ my sweetest darling. my favourite chain smoker)

Okay, so. The Still World and Twilight World. Don't they feel related? Either in color scheme, function or presentation (we even have particles flying upwards!), they look incredibly alike and I think the worldbuilding implication of having this weird dimension being truly "outside" the story makes a ton of sense to me
#thoughts#eow#echoes of wisdom#still world#twilight princess#tp#I find fascinating the implication of this space being known magically and used as a prison by hylians#and twili “adapting” to it#I don't know I feel like eow gives out a ton of stuff to think about lore-wise#it perfectly slides into the theology while also complicating it in interesting ways#I have a full other post about that cooking in my head right now#but I find the lore quite nourishing!#a shame that I'm not seeing a ton of people talking about this#totk really murdered the urge to theorize about zelda didn't it

Okay so this is a intro post about my headcanons for Bang's parents and his childhood. So yeah, buckle in guys :D
This is Meg, short for Margaret, and Ned, short for Edwin.
Meg was designed by @supgoddo while i designed Ned. These are just some early doodles of them.
Also this last one is my most recent drawing of them which was a while ago but I plan on drawing a lot of stuff of them and Bang for future posts ↴
I headcanon them to be rich/high class because:
Bang's whole canon name is pretty dang fancy, like come on there's no way he just has that name for no reason
As made in a older post of mine (this one) I talked about how Bang shows a lot of signs that he comes from a wealthy upbringing of some sorts. Including him having proper manners like when he greets a royal sand architect and some kid named "King"
Here's just a synopsis for Bang's parents and his childhood and how it all affected him:
Bangford "Bang" Bipplebop III grew up in a wealthy family under the weight of big expectations. His father, Ned (Bangford Edwin "Ned" Bipplebop II), was a self-made millionaire who pushed himself to succeed as his own father wanted. He hoped Bang would inherit this same drive and set high, often unrealistic goals for him to carry on the family legacy. Bang’s mother, Margaret "Meg", came from old money and embraced tradition, placing high value on elegance and respectability. Though she loved Bang, she struggled with his transition and often deadnamed or misgendered him, which only deepened the distance between them. As a kid, Bang struggled academically and socially, showing neurodivergent traits like his father has, but Ned is not even aware of his own traits so he's blind to Bang's struggles with causes more stain on their relationship. Bang was often clumsy and felt slow or “behind,” which led to frustration and yelling from his parents, leaving him feeling out of place even in his own home. Still, he idolized his dad, and when he transitioned, he chose to become Bangford "Bang" Bipplebop III. Ned was proud, but Meg quietly missed her “little girl”. Now an adult, Bang has adopted a chill, stoner-surfer vibe, projecting effortless cool demeanor. Beneath that, though, he constantly wrestles with feelings of inadequacy and failure. He dropped out of college, never achieving the high-class life his parents imagined. He even got his current job on Answer Team 341B by accident, after receiving someone else’s acceptance letter, which only adds to his sense of not belonging or “being behind,” since he was never properly trained. To cope, he uses weed to numb the pain and avoid his worries, but he fears this habit only reinforces the image of an ambitionless pothead that his parents likely suspect him to be. Beneath his mellow exterior, Bang battles with self-worth, struggling to break free of family expectations that never quite fit.
So in a nutshell, he’s a trans man dealing with generational trauma who masks his insecurities and self-doubt with a laid-back persona while using weed to numb the pain 👍
Also my headcanons for his childhood struggles help explain why he shields his face and head when he gets yelled at times, which i also talked about in a different post. (right here) Like him fearing of being scolded at again for doing something wrong. Or even just to shield and protect himself when he feels like he's in danger. Poor dude🥺

Also to point out that there are a few moments in Answer Time where you can see where Bang is not at all interested in business, like in the Internet episode where he looks disengaged and even a little bored when Stacy, the human calling them, was talking about his corporate job that's all about serious business. And plus the Stocks episode where Bang has no idea or interest in how to run a company when he was trying to figure out how stocks work. Which helps with my headcanon that he ofc doesn't find any interest in business like his father does and doesn't want to be in it.
Heck, even Sue tells Bang in the Stocks episode, "Some folks are just born with a innate talent for business." Which could hint that business is in his family blood somehow.
Anyways, back on track. My voice claims for Meg and Ned are Mother Gothel from Tangled and Wheatley from Portal, and those could also kind of show how they both act like but not entirely of course but just sorta the gist of it in a nutshell.
Since moving out for college, Bang has been living on his own away from his parents and after dropping out, he cut off all contact with them, being too ashamed to face them as their only child who was a far cry from what they had hoped for. But I do theorize that perhaps after the Stock episode when Bang's red t-shirt company flunked in stocks, Ned took notice of this (not to mention all of the adverts with Bang's face in them) and thus could lead to him and Meg soon finding Bang and meeting him after so many years. Which would scare the living hell out of him if he ever saw them knocking at his door, but that's for another time I think.
So yeah that's what i have for y'all so far with Med and Neg. I'll probably make other posts talking about Meg and Ned in more depth with their own backstories and lore. I hope you guys like my headcanons or whatever. Please feel free to comment or share your ideas or thoughts!
Thank you for reading this far and have a good day! ✨

the courser and the wolf
You know what the Dalish say to their dogs? 'Take the Dread Wolf by the ear if he comes.'
Long ago, a clan lived on the Silent Plains. It was a terrible, lonely place where the sun was forbidden to shine. Their Keeper had a coursing hound. They had run down deer and hares and wolves together when they were young. But they had grown old together, Keeper and hound, and now only dozed before the campfire, dreaming of hunts. But then the Dread Wolf came, for the Keeper was wise and kind—the things Fen’Harel hates above all else. At night, he tried to steal into the Keeper’s dreams, to twist his mind and turn him against the People. But even in dreams, the courser guarded his master. He caught the Dread Wolf’s scent and gave chase across the Fade. Fen’Harel tried to shake his pursuer, but the hound ran as coursers can only run in their dreams. Even the wind couldn’t have fled that hound. He ran the Dread Wolf down and grabbed him by the tail! Fen’Harel howled, so loud that the Veil shook and even the stars scattered in fear. But the hound wouldn’t let go. Neither hound nor Wolf gave in. Finally, Fen’Harel bit off his own tail to escape, and away he fled. Ever since, the Dread Wolf thinks twice about playing his tricks when dogs are on guard.
—Merrill, First of the Sabrae clan
#ive been going through these to theorize on the real story and figured id post them here too#'wise and kind - things fenharel hate above all else' meanwhile his bff was Wisdom and the child he has half custody of is Compassion#inspired by you orana pls social distance your dog#lore (scattered fragments of memory where some spirit cared to watch.)

So I think I'm making some decent progress on my unhinged Kaeya lore thoughts post
The WIP of the mindmap is below the cut

I'm really scared that I'm still missing a lot of stuff, but it's past midnight now so I'll be stopping for now and actually get some sleep
#genshin impact#kaeya alberich#I'm starting to think this post will have 2 parts#a mindmap to visualize all of these concepts and their connections to Kaeya and to each other#and then a google doc where I explain my actual thought process on the inclusions and connections of these concepts#the things I do for you Kaeya my beloved#I'm positive that I still am missing a lot#but maybe that's okay#maybe I don't need to make THE Kaeya lore post of all time#if I can just add some of my own thoughts to the discussion of all things Kaeya that's already something#I might also have an actual theory (or 2) to present from all this but it's honestly still really vague and maybe kinda crack#ah well if roozevelt can make a youtube channel based partly on high-quality hogwild tinfoil crack theorizing#then maybe I can get away with sharing my own tinfoil thoughts#I should feel way more tired than I do RN lmao#for real though I hope everyone reading this has a good day/night sleeps well and hydrates enough#Imma go to sleep and dream of Kaeya now

It's not exactly lore-related but I can't stop thinking how The End might've looked like
It's very possible (or at least very implied) there were other Ender Dragons, assuming the heads on the stem of End Ships are real and not man-made. Based on these assumptions, what if The End was bigger?
Ender Dragon is one of the most destructive mobs and the only one who can make a block simply vanish after physical contact with it since it doesn't drop the destroyed block (with few "exceptions" being chests and Shulker Boxes because they drop the items inside, not the actual items). It's probably a stretch but I think it might explain why the main End Island is less destroyed while the whole rest looks shattered since it only has one dragon
Now imagine a whole ass dimension filled with a ton of dragons just flying there and destroying everything they touch. That'd be terrifying but also magnificent to look
merely headcanon but I love imagining that The End is somewhere in the space or something similar. Also, I guess I'll tag this post so it may reach more people

Messmer’s Great Rune
A Great Rune of a long lost demigod, a shardbearer denied.
Its blessing greatly increases poise while attacking or casting.
The Great Rune smolders with blackened red flame, and enwreathes the wielder’s body and soul in darkness. It is in the base serpent’s nature to attack with reckless abandon, and this rune would have allowed it to feel no pain in the heat of battle.
That the rune encompasses the upper ring marks Messmer as the firstborn son, and thus godhood—his birthright.
(credit to @katyspersonal for pointing this out :> art and item desc by me)

man iim glad some older members that i know of have moved on cause change and human nature and blah blah blah but man i lowkey wish theyd come back cause i really liked reading their thoughts even when i wasnt in the fandom at the time
#it was so fun reading about meta and game design and social engineering or at least what was basically those things anyway#from ppl far smarter and more articulate and also more experienced in this sort of thing than me#i had a broad idea what was happening at ls at any given moment for the sole reason that they would analyze and theorize#what was going on at any given event and how it impacted videos; streams; storylines; the other players; etc#they were also a lot less hateful than me which im sure helped ppl get into ls who were more unsure lmao#anyways i remember medusa; dupe war; and cleansing was so fun to read through#there was so much theorizing going on and ppl were pointing out inconsistencies left and right#whether in lore or in meta#mine.txt#my posts

If Celestial Pean is a ‘Transference of Souls’ (of the dead?) temporary golden stamina giving light — like the golden light that shows when reviving, or more relevant here giving stamina ‘Cheering up’, but pawns Cheer up the Arisen as well, golden light and everything… reverse mini (temporary?) Bestowal spotted !!

i love that the game is like, a fully complete and well-realized narrative, while also having a lot of world and lore information you can think about and theorize (esp concerning the ending hook and sequel/dlc directions)
#shitpost#and the devs confirmed they're working on a dlc and a sequel#also when i posted a few days ago about how lies of p reminded me of smtiv this is actually what i was talking about#the sort of well-integrated and twisting narratives of the 'on the ground' story and the 'overall bigger ideas and the setting's story'#its a difficult mesh to make work for me personally b/c i so often get irritated at lore and such in games because so often it takes over#and like the direct story feels like it matters so little b/c the themes are incomplete as the lore dominates and i get BORED AS HELL#but that issue isn't present here the prevailing narrative and choices and experiences are the main focus#and the lore and extra details to theorize about just add to the depth of it all#there's little stories and big stories and both are compelling and they give you just enough to be satisfied#even if not all questions are answered and such#its jsut good#also its a good robot story. i love u robot story

So Mephisto having an actual consciousness/soul IG:
- I'm assuming Sylus obvi can't make souls, but maybe he placed one? Or more likely perhaps;
- Stolen data/research from one of the Ever consciousness upload projects that Sylus took pity on and gave a body in the form of Meph in return for loyalty and keeping a covert eye on MC?
- Stolen tech from his space banditry/spaceship fleet hoard, like an AI he decided to not leave behind? This is kinda boring unless we tie it into a new myth with their time conquering space being pirates or whatever, even still not compelling enough so perhaps, considering...
- we have also seen references to androids now in game, which makes sense as an attempt for a longevity project with Ever trying to overcome mortality and potentially entropy itself etc. Androids couldn't be an endgoal bc tech will degrade, but clearly they have dabbled.
- Did Ever farm through MCs memories of her other lives before she forgot them? I debated at one point if Meph could be connected to MC more directly like an imprint of her mind or something Ever made, but that seems probably too convoluted, despite that the timeline for this game is already so convoluted lol. But Sylus clearly has a deep affection for Mephisto and is open about it versus his more guarded affection even for the twins.
- Seems a little too coincidental that MC pulled the eye out of the android to deactivate them, with it being protocore technology and Sylus having his in his eye as well, allegedly. I'm only 85% certain it's an aethercore in the same manner as MCs, frankly he's noncommittal when she mentions it initially "you could say that" I believe. I think if Sylus had a similar eye/tech it would probably provide a more believable path at integration with Mephisto than maybe just "soul magic" or whatever.
- we know Sylus has a keen mind for tech and engineering/hacking at times in the story/memories -- maybe Sylus hacked and reprogrammed/enhanced the addition out of necessity? He wouldn't leave something that could be a vulnerability, but also repurposing something could maybe be beneficial to him, especially since with Mephisto he's able to see MC easily.
#this is just like stream of consciousness brainstorming lol its also 3am classic me#lads spoilers#bc im mentioning bits of lore dropped in the new content but this is just for me#personal posting#its so funny to me that they ever androids or whatever all look the same too like i only had one that looked weird in the clip#and its obviously a glitch for me the guy has no hair and an eye tecture painted on the side of his head#wait im tired were those others that chased them in the tunnel ever? i assumed so and not just there for the purge#too corpo looking for sure#his eye is probably just an aethercore buT i do question that a little esp after replaying it all#unsubstantiated theorizing btw im playing this is for meeee
