↳ i made this gryffindor boy x slytherin girl but it works for all houses !!! (dating headcanons)
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
✩ literally the slowest burn ever. you two met in your first year at hogwarts but never even talked until years later, during a trip to hogsmeade or maybe a party.
✩ obviously, the two of you don’t like eachother at first because of your opposite houses. all your life you’ve been told gryffindors were cocky, stubborn and you shouldn’t go near them..
✩ definitely some sort of enemies/rivals to lovers trope with mutual pining. even worse if you have to compete against each other in class or quidditch
✩ “everyone can see it but them”… you try to brush it off but it’s obvious based on how your eyes lock from opposite sides of the great hall during meals, and while walking down the stairs to get to class.
✩ when you first interact, he’s surprised to see that there’s more to you than the sarcasm and bitterness you’re used to showing. he manages to make you laugh and he just stands there, savouring your reaction in surprise.
✩ you too realise that he’s actually not the enemy you were raised to stay away from, and find yourself enjoying how the two of you seem to complete eachother perfectly.
✩ a match made in heaven ! when he tends to make decisions on impulse, you’re here to ground him and make him think about it. on the opposite, when your pride takes over, he brings you down to earth and validates your feelings.
✩ sooo flirty and bantery - you two are constantly teasing eachother and being sarcastic, and you love how he matches your energy so well.
✩ once both of you let eachother in, it’s pure happiness and adoration. he lets you into his world and so do you, discovering how beautiful love can be when you start trusting someone.
✩ however, your friends warn you off and the slytherins don’t really support you, making you feel like you’re teaming up with the antagonist or something... i guess it’s the price to pay for such an amazing relationship.
✩ because of that, the two of you keep it secret at first, meeting after curfew at the astronomy tower or in the secluded corners of a hallway between classes. you hate to admit it but the thrill of your love being forbidden makes it even better.
✩ prepare to be SHOWERED with love. his feelings for you are expressed in the form of gifts like cd mixtapes, quality time like clearing his schedule for you no matter what, and words of affirmation to reassure you whenever you feel down.
✩ you’re not used to loving and being loved so openly and it takes you quite some time adjust to it. even when he says “i love you” and you don’t say it back, he’s completely fine with it and always willing to wait for you.
✩ your number one supporter. he always watches you succeed from afar and celebrates with you in private. he doesn’t even care if you win against him in quidditch or gets better grades in exams, because he’s so damn proud of his girl.
✩ in conclusion, opposites do attract

Vestito come un incubo
Song (title):   Måneskin - Mark Chapman
Commentary :
Felt like I didn't have enough...original stuff, and just 'realistic' things so I let my creativity out a bit and boy I'm glad I did :D I really enjoyed the process, and really love how it looks lile in the end :3  First real art of Lorenzo, but don't worry I didn't put aside my best boy >:)

As we commemorate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend, I renew attention to David Byrne's American Utopia. The central idea is that the world depends on our individual, inner transformation of mind and heart, which we cannot accomplish alone. Our true selves are linked to one another through relationships.
Byrne covers Janelle Monae’s “Hell You Talmbout” to name African-American victims of American law enforcement and the systemic racism that continues to perpetuate this ongoing legal form of genocide.
Say their names.

Review: Devil's Reign: Villains for Hire #1
Devil's Reign: Villains for Hire #1 is an entertaining addition to an event that has been solid but plays out as expected. #Comics #ComicBooks
Devil’s Reign has been solid so far. The event sees Wilson Fisk’s plans all coming together as he uses his power as Mayor of New York to try to reign in Marvel’s superheroes. There’s a little bit of Dark Reign mixed with the Superhero Registration Act but all updated to reflect today’s political reality. But, even better, the tie-ins for the event have been really good as well. It feels rare that…

I initially thought Keanu directed this!

(Hopefully by this point you’ve finished all 99 minutes of ‘Side by Side’, the kind of person who isn’t bothered by spoilers, or are just deciding if you still want to keep watching.)

When it was mentioned that the first generation RED camera crashed regularly....I am amazed that any of the digital cameras I’ve used hasn’t done done this in my hands.
PS: So the guy who owns Oakley...started RED?
--------
HIGHLIGHTS:
David Fincher getting the RED One from 23 (9 for the body + 14 For the lens) to 5 pounds so he could use it on a crew boat.
MacBook Pros as the 'brains' for the lenses used for 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
The explanation on how they did 3D for Avatar.
Footage from Ghost Protocol and a note that it was shot on film.
Film is the best way to store moving images for 70 years (because hard drives stick if they are rarely used and wear out if they are regularly used)
--------
My verdict of the film: 5/10

au where eliot goes back to damien moreau after everything falls to shit at the pool scene. based off my tags on this post (original post).
disclaimer, this does not end like the tags do.
-
Hardison walks towards the elevator, Eliot in tow. Eliot knows he should go alone, but he can’t bring himself to tell Hardison to back off.
Hardison babbles his cover while Eliot stares down the highest ranking guard.
“Who the hell are you?”
Eliot bites his tongue. He knows his time’s up. His plan is solid but he knows - he knows - his only job is to get Hardison out alive. If it costs him his life, so be it.
“Me? I'm Eliot Spencer.”
It sounds like I’m the one he’s been waiting for.
-
Chapman stands up, walks to meet Eliot eye to eye. Every gun in the room is trained on Eliot but Chapman doesn’t pull a weapon.
Eliot tries to read Chapman but all he sees is that unwavering cold, maybe even more than before Eliot had left.
“Chapman.”
“Eliot.”
“They gave you the job?” It sounds a lot like He gave you my job.
“There was an opening.” It sounds a lot like I will kill you if you try to take it back.
A door opens. Eliot watches, calculating the mans every move, as Moreau walks towards him.
-
Moreau kicks Hardison’s chair into the water. Eliot doesn’t blink, he doesn’t flinch, he doesn’t break eye contact with Moreau.
Pop. Pop.
Moreau kills Hardison.
Eliot feels his entire body go cold. As if the shots had taken the life out of him and not -
“How did you know?” Eliot chokes out the words.
“Because I own you, Eliot Spencer. Don’t ever forget that again”
-
As he turns to leave with Moreau, Eliot avoids eye contact with the pool. He doesn’t need to look in the pool to know that Moreau didn’t miss.
As if reading his mind, Moreau cooly whispers into Eliot’s ear, “Look at him.”
Hardison is floating, lifeless, at the bottom of the pool. There’s no blood. Eliot’s brain shorts. He feels like his heart is being ripped from his chest for a second time in a matter of minutes.
“He drowned because you were too much of a coward to go in after him.”
Eliot feels his body hit the ground. He doesn't know if it was grief or Chapman’s fist that knocked him down.
-
Eliot wakes up in a bedroom. He recognizes it as one of the spares in Moreau’s main house in San Lorenzo.
His whole body aches but there’s not a bruise on him.
Hardison is dead. I let him die.
Eliot doesn’t get up.
Every morning, Moreau comes in with a tray of food and a smile.
Under the plate is always a file. Eliot knows what’s inside. It’s a job. It’s his job.
Eliot doesn’t eat, he doesn’t open the file, he doesn’t do anything except sit and replay his last moments with Hardison. Parker. The team.
The flips the scenario over in his head a thousand times, What did I miss? Where did I go wrong?
He tries to remember - he tried to remember them - but all he feels is pain.
He sleeps, because his body cannot do anything else. Someone always takes away the plates while he’s asleep. He has half a mind to worry that he can’t tell when people come and go, but he lets the concern go. His senses have been numb ever since he heard the shot by the pool.
Besides, his life doesn’t matter anymore.
Your one job was to protect them and look at where that got you.
You were supposed to die first.
Eliot lets the files pile up on the floor, untouched.
-
One morning there is no breakfast, no file. Chapman opens the door, throws something at Eliot, “Good riddance, I’ll say.”
Eliot doesn’t turn to look until he hears the door forcefully close.
It’s a lock of blonde hair stained with dried blood. He knows without asking that it belongs - belonged to Parker.
Eliot screams. Deep in his gut, screams.
It feels like whatever was left of his soul being ripped out.
-
Eliot pushes open the door, walks down the familiar hallway.
Moreau’s back is to the door when Eliot opens it. “Took you long enough. It’s not like your door was ever locked.” Moreau’s voice cuts into Eliot. He leans into the pain.
I know. I might be heartbroken but I ain’t dumb. “You were never going to let me walk away.” Not then, not now.
“You know if you had gone in after him, I would have killed him anyway.” It’s not a question but Eliot nods.
Damien meets his eyes. “Are you ready to follow orders?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Sit down and eat breakfast.”
Eliot does.
-
Moreau hands him a needle. Eliot slips it under the man’s fingernail. Old school, but effective in a small town where it will be overlooked by the coroner.
“Well, then, beat the answer out of him,” Moreau says. Eliot hits until his knuckles are raw and there’s more blood than skin on his hands.
Moreau hands him a knife. Eliot cuts until his clothes are saturated with blood, long after the man’s heart has stopped.
“Drown him,” Moreau says. Eliot kicks the chair into the water. He flinches, barely, when the sound hits that raw part of his brain that only remembers flashes. Parker. Hardison.
Moreau hands him a loaded gun. Eliot pulls the trigger.
The targets get faster, stronger,  more ruthless. Moreau’s orders follow suit. Eliot follows.
But this time, when Eliot pulls the trigger, hears the wind knocked out of the target as the bullet hits his chest, he feels a matching jolt to his chest.
He lies on the ground, unaware of the commotion around him.
Eliot is dying. Honest to God dying.
He can hear Moreau laughing - or is that the Devil’s welcome?
Finally. His thoughts are cut short as he bleeds out.
-
With the image of his own death burned into the back of his eyes, it hits him. He knows the play. It’s not one of Nate’s alphabet soup Plans, but it’ll have to do. Play submissive.
Eliot lets his eyes stray from Moreau for a beat as the man walks forward. A silent message. You still own me. I would never cross you. I would never lie to you. I am still your dog.
He prays - honest to God prays - that Moreau takes the bait.
“That's no way to treat an old friend.” Moreau is walking towards Eliot.
Eliot fully turns to face Moreau. His eyes scan the man’s body. Something about the robe and flip flops ooze sadistic control and Eliot can’t help but relax into his role.
“Damien.” He meets Moreau’s eyes, forcing his eyes to promise the man I missed you. I am yours. I came back.
Moreau looks fondly at Chapman, the same way you would look fondly at a gift horse you know ain’t got enough years left in it to be worth the trouble.
Smiles, turns to Eliot. “Let's catch up.”
He fell for it.
-
They’re walking away from Moreau, women are streaming back into the room, Hardison is safe.
“Come on,” Eliot growls at him, not wanting to be in the room another second - needing Hardison to not be in that room for another second.
Hardison speaks to him, low, angry, hurt seeping into his voice. “I lowered the chair and sucked the air from the pneumatic. It gave me an extra 30 seconds. That better be why you didn't come and get me - 'cause you knew I'd do that, right?”
Eliot knows the fallout will be - he knows he might never be trusted again, he knows the team might kick him to the curb. But none of that matters because Hardison is alive, safe.
Hardison is safe. Hardison is safe. Haridson is safe.
Eliot can’t help but let the relief sweep through his body.
But he straightens up, knowing he still has a part to play. He growls out, “Yeah, Hardison, 'cause I knew you were gonna suck air out of a chair.”

Chapman drops, surprise still written on his face, and Eliot relaxes for less than a second before he hears the ever-distinctive crunch that means someone is shifting into a fighting stance in his blindspot. He spins, the gun cold and heavy in his hand. One more attacker between him and his team, between them all and safety.  His finger tightens on the trigger. He misses, hand jerking up at the last second possible when he sees who it is. The scruffy teenaged boy, still shoeless, is staring at him. Eliot recognizes something in his eyes. “What, Eliot, you thought I wouldn’t replace you when you ran off with your tail between your legs?” Moreau had taunted him at the poolside. “I have to say, I think this may be an upgrade. He’s not quite as experienced as you, but what do you think? Quite the asset, no?”
“I don’t want to fight you, kid,”  Eliot says, dropping the gun. He won’t. He can’t hurt another child. Moreau has to know that. That’s why he sent this boy. “And you don’t want to work for Moreau. Trust me.” The boy grimaces, and flings himself at Eliot. It’s sloppy, but Moreau’s new hitter--no, the boy, Eliot won’t think of him as anything else-- is strong. He leaves himself too open to attack, but Eliot’s defensive block, meant to knock him back without causing any real harm, doesn’t seem to faze him at all.  When he should be long out of breath, he still doesn’t stop, his eyes unfocused. It’s not the glazed over look of a fighter who’s been drugged, Eliot can tell that. It’s the look of someone who doesn’t want any part of this fight, but knows the only way out of it is to finish it. It’s a look he’s worn on his own face. Eliot’s heart clenches in his chest. It’s not right. “You don’t have to do this,” he says, and he’s answered by a blow to the side of his head that feels like an iron bar. Holding back is only going to get him killed. As much as he doesn’t want to hurt this kid, he’d rather have a little blood on his knuckles than have his own blood on the boy’s soul.  They’ll find a way to save him. That’s what the team does. Save people who are in so over their heads they’re drowning. “Atlas!” The boy forgets the first rule of fighting, if he ever knew it-- never turn your back on an opponent--but runs towards Moreau’s call with more strength in his legs than he should have. Eliot was sure he’d felt a kick dislocate something, but he’s not even winded, much less limping.  Eliot stumbles after him, pausing only to scoop up the gun. He can’t use it against a child, but against Moreau? But the shot that rings out comes from Moreau’s weapon, and Eliot has time to fire back or save a woman’s life, and he’s dizzy from blood loss. Missing risks more than he’s willing to lose, whatever remains of his soul, so he watches the plane leave. “We have to go after him,” he says, and Nate stares him down with calculating eyes. “I thought you wanted to stay as far from Moreau as possible?” he asks, in that annoying Nathan Ford way. “He’s ruined. The Job’s finished.” “No, it ain’t.” ~ The job almost fails as soon as it starts, with plan A dead in the water and Eliot’s friend refusing the escape that  plan B requires.  His voice is firm with refusal on the other line of a cellphone, as Eliot argues with a stubborn old man. “We can barely find a way to get you out of there, sir,” he tells General Flores, San Lorenzo’s best hope at real democracy. “I understand. But my men are here. And there are children. I cannot take the chance that Rivera will kill them in reprisal. Would you leave your team?” Eliot doesn’t bother to answer the obvious question, or the unspoken one. “What do you mean, children?” “Rivera’s men get annoyed if we speak to each other,” Flores says. “So of course, we do. Last week, they brought children, two of them. Hostages against another candidate, no doubt. If you can get anyone out, make it them.” Eliot is sure the wince is audible over the phone. “We’ll come up with a plan,” he promises. They always do. He just hopes this one stays on the rails. ~ It does not. ~ Eliot knows there isn’t a lot of leeway in the timing of things. Nate’s already gone, and he won’t have much time to get into a guard’s uniform and get into the elevator to the tombs before everything goes to (planned!!!) hell.  From there, they have to free all the prisoners, and then he has to get into position with the prop weapon, if it comes to Plan L. He has a bad feeling that it will. He taps the guard on the shoulder and coldclocks him. It’s easy enough to take the helmet and vest from the unconscious man, and no one questions him as a radio crackles, ordering a squad down into the tombs. A cluster of Rivera’s guards hit the elevator at the same time, and Eliot shoves his way in first. It’ll take 18 seconds to get down from this floor to the tombs, and he has to make sure every one of these men is unconscious before the elevator doors open, or the people in those prison cells are as good as dead. His heart jolts when he sees one more person cram into the box. Moreau’s Atlas looks frenzied, and Eliot doesn’t want to think about what orders he’s been given. The elevator lurches and Eliot strikes out fast at the other adults. They’re armed. The boy has only his fists.  As he drops the second to last attacker, counting the child, Eliot feels the elevator stop, and that’s not right. Six seconds remaining, they haven’t hit the basement yet, and he should still have two more men charging him. But the boy stands over them, instead, a dent in the side of the elevator--no, a hole, and a dent in the solid stone beyond it. He lunges, and Eliot only just manages to get out of the way of the blow. “I won’t let you hurt her,” Atlas insists. “I won’t let any of you hurt her!” Eliot swings the helmet visor up, hoping it’s the right move. He doesn’t have many options. Below, Parker will have the cells open. “I’m not here to hurt anyone down there, kid,” he says, getting a sickening feeling about the hostage children Flores mentioned. “This is a rescue.” The boy regards him with a look in his eyes that’s so familiar it hurts. “Whatever Moreau… told you. Whatever he… wants from you. You don’t have to listen,” Eliot wishes he had Sophie here for this, but he’s all this kid’s got, and maybe he’s the right thing anyways. “What’s your name? My team can get you home, just tell us where.” “Project Atlas,” the words sound like a report, matter of fact and grudging. He points down towards the cells. “Home’s there. You can’t have her.” “Eliot?” buzzed Parker’s voice in his ear. “Where are you? Cages are open and you’re really not gonna like this. I don’t like this. Can we kill Moreau?” “Yeah,” Eliot says into the com. “Elevator’s broken, gonna need a minute. Sophie, stall.” He looks back at the boy.  “You’re not a… project. My team and I are here to take Moreau and his friends down. We’ll save your...your friend.  But I’m gonna need you to not attack me anymore. Understand?” “He said you’d kill us.” “He lied. I swear, I won’t hurt you or anyone in those cells. You’re free. Help me get these doors open so we can figure out a way out for those prisoners, and I’ll make sure you and your friend are safe.” The boy--Eliot won’t call him by the name Moreau assigned him, like the Ram’s horn, like a weapon-- nods. “I’ll kill you if you hurt her,” he says finally. Eliot can tell, from the hunch in his shoulders, the way he holds his head, that he’s no killer. Not yet. Not ever, If Eliot can do anything about it. “Eliot?” Parker says again. “Holy shit, there’s a girl here who-- oh.” The bottom of the elevator explodes in blue light, dropping them the remaining few feet. Eliot blinks, righting himself and peering into the hall. Parker’s standing with a crowd of the general’s men, holding an open  metal collar in one hand and her lockpicks in the other. “Clubs!” a teenage girl with long, white hair shouts, tackling the boy with a hug he returns. Blue light dances around them both. “You better go fake-kill Sophie,” Parker says. “And then we need to get ice cream.”
