hii! just wanna ask if you'll still continue the lou and debbie comic?
ah probably not I'm afraid, I definitely cursed myself writing tbc on that, I used to have a thread of how I might continue it but I've both forgotten how I would and also don't have the time or motivation to anymore.

Pairing: Lou Miller×Reader, Tammy×Reader (sister)
Word count: 1.338
Summary: You are madly in love with Lou but you know that your sister would disapprove.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
_______________________________________________
"How's it going Miller?" You slowly approached Lou and winked at her. "Very good. But I'd appreciated it if you wouldn't flirt with me." She took her coffee and left you standing there like an Idiot. She's done that a few times lately. Normally she would always flirt back but she somehow stopped that.
"So you like older women, huh?"
You nearly choked on your drink when Debbie said that. You were choughing helplessly, it was actually kind of embarrassing. You wanted to keep it safe that you liked older women, just in general women, and Lou but thanks to your stupid reaction you couldn't deny it anymore. Debbie was cry-laughing besides you. You shot her a death glare and she quickly got you a glass of water and patted you on the back.
You two sat down on the couch and when your breathing was back to normal Debbie gave you a questioning look. You hesitated and she added:"Or maybe one certain older woman?".
You figured by now it didn't matter, the secret was already revealed and served on a plate for Debbie.
"Well, yes I in general like older women. It's just always been like that. They always attracted me more than women my age. I don't know why. And yes I might have a slight crush on Lou."
Debbie started laughing again, "A slight crush? Come on (Y/n) You are crazy for that woman." You raised your eyebrow and then you remembered the way she treated you lately.
"Well, it doesn't matter anymore anyways."
"Why?"
"It's just, I don't know something is wrong with Lou. She's so cold to me lately. She doesn't flirt back anymore. She used to love that, it was our thing. Always flirting." Debbie looked at you understanding but before she could say anything more Tammy came down the stairs.
You tightly hugged Debbie and whispered something in her ear, so that Tammy couldn't hear it: "No word to my sister or I'll kill you!" With that you stood up and left.
You didn't want Tammy to find out, she's your older sister and has always been super protective over you. You loved her, of course. But you were old enough to make your own decision and take the consequences. You didn't need a nanny. Honestly it was quite annoying.
Later that day you were sitting in your room when you heard a knock. "Come in", you were sure it would be Debbie so you were quite surprised that Lou stepped in.
"Hey (Y/n), Debbie told me that we should maybe talk. So what's up?"
"Yeah, come in. You can sit down on the bed if you want." You pointed in that direction and put your phone away.
"So...I'm not quite sure how to say this. But I... Is something wrong? You’ve been so distant lately. That's not like you." You carefully looked up right at her and saw her looking...surprised.
"I didn't think you would notice that actually. I thought you probably didn't care." You raised an eyebrow quizzically.
"Lou, you were rather harsh with me. Of course I noticed. We always used to flirt and you just stopped. I really liked that and you." Your voice got quieter and quieter by the end. So quiet you didn't even think Lou heard you but when you looked up you saw her coming towards you. She kneeled down in front of you and took your hands in hers.
"Oh, Darling. I like you too. But come on, this can't work. Tammy would kill us both if she'd find out and she's probably right. I'm not good for you. You're so young still, you shouldn't be with a criminal. Also I'm way too old. Find someone young and beautiful and normal." She was surprised when you jumped up.
"I don't care, honestly why would I want someone normal? My sis is a criminal, all my best friends are criminals and I'm half one too. And I don't need my sister to protect me. I can take care of myself. Also find someone young and beautiful? Excuse me, you're the most beautiful woman ever. The age never mattered to me. I know that I like you. End of discussion." Lou slightly smiled. She stood up and came to you.
She gently took your face on her hands and pulled it towards her a bit. You closed your eyes and slowly felt her lips touching yours. It felt like heaven and you knew that that's everything you always wanted. Lou didn't need to know that you didn't just like her, but had a massive crush on her since you were like 12. Not yet at least.
Debbie knew directly. She saw you two coming out of your room after you talked and just smiled knowingly. If just Debbie was at home you didn't have to hide.
Originally the plan was to keep it that way but the two of you couldn't keep your hands off of each other. So eventually the others also found out. All of them except Tammy. If Tammy was there you all kept quite. You knew she had to find out some day, but you weren't keen on it.
One day, when everyone was there except for Tammy, who was bringing the kids to their dad, you all talked about how Lou and you got together. You still kept to yourself, that you liked her since you were 12 but you told them that you had liked her for some time.
"For some time? What do you mean by that?" Lou grinned at you and leaned over to kiss you. You still blushed, everytime she kissed you or flirted with you.
"Lou?! What are you doing with my sister?" You broke away from Lou, panic in your eyes. Tammy knew. She saw you. Shit. Suddenly confidence rushed over you. You were old enough, she didn't have to control you like that.
"We are dating." You looked at Tammy but you knew that everyone in the room was holding their breath.
Everyone loved Tammy, she was wonderful. But if it came to you, she could be quite scary. No one ever wanted to mess with her. Not even Debbie.
"No, your not."
"Yes, we are."
"I won't allow that. Couldn't you find someone normal? Not a criminal. Lou how could you?" Tammy approached Lou, you had never seen her this angry.
"How could she what? Love me, show me how beautiful I am every day, make me smile, make me happy? Do you really think I'm not old enough to decide who I date? I know you just want to protect me but you don't have to. I love Lou and I don't care that she's 20 years older or a criminal. You're a criminal. Debbie's a criminal. Hell, even I'm a criminal. If you didn't want me to be one, you shouldn't have let me grow up with them. I don't care if you'll allow it."  Everyone started at you now, not just Tammy.
"You love Lou?" You paniced. Did you say that? You had never said it before and you didn't plan on saying it in front of everyone in a fight with your sister.
"No...?" You looked at Lou, seeing her shocked face.
"You love me?" Didn't she know that? You thought it was pretty obvious.
"Of course I do. I did for ages. You're the most incredible person I have ever met. How could I have not fallen in love with you." You had never seen Lou cry before, until now. Well she didn't technically cry, but there were tears in her eyes. You kissed her. Softly. Your sister was still there.
"Ok, ok. I guess it's fine. But Lou," Tammy shot a warning glare at her, "if you'll ever hurt (Y/n) I'll kick your ass. Understood?" Lou nodded and gave you another kiss.
"Oh for gods sake, get a room. I still have to get used to this." Tammy wildly waved her hands at you two

Tumblr media
Ship: Lou Miller x Debbie Ocean
Word count: 530+
Warnings: None
“What if she doesn’t accept us,” Debbie sighed, lying back against the couch with her hands on her head. “Honey, if shes okay knowing criminals, I’m pretty sure that she’ll be okay with knowing a few gay people too. Plus, you know Tam, she’d be ecstatic that we’ve told her,” Lou tries to reassure her, sitting down next to her and holding her hand. “Okay maybe,” Debbie doesn’t seem convinced. “I’m nervous too Debs, but all we have to do is try to keep calm about it, stress isn’t going to make anything better,” Lou kisses her head before standing up to make a drink.
“Where the hell is she, I told her to be here 15 minutes ago,” Debbie huffed, getting restless. “I’m sure that she’s just stuck in traf-,” Lou is cut off by the door opening and Tammy standing in it. “I’m so sorry! The traffic was horrendous,” Tammy’s announced. Lou looked at Debbie and mouthed, “I told you”.
“Hey Tam!” Lou says back. “Want a drink?” Lou goes to grab another glass out the cupboard. “Not for me, but thanks Lou,” Tammy sits down, next to Debbie. She can see shes quieter than usual. “You okay?” She asks, making sure Lou doesn’t hear. “Yeah great,” she says unconvincingly. “Hmm okay,” she lets it go and gives Debbie a quick side hug. Lou sits down with her drink and places it down. “So, Debs and I invited you over to talk about something,” Lou begins. “You’re not planning another heist are you,” Tammy sighs, beginning to stress already. “God no, I’ve barely started planning,” Debbie smirks and lets Lou continue.
“So we’ve been worried to tell you this, because we don’t know your reaction, but Debbie and I, we’re together,” Lou finally tells Tammy. “Oh guys thats great! I did already know though,” she smiles at both of them. A “what?” comes out of both of them before looking at eachother confused. “Well, you haven’t really been secret about it. Me and Amita have conspired as to what’s going on between you two.”
“How did you know,” Lou asks, genuinely curious as to how she knew. “Seriously? The lingering touches, cute smiles at eachother, cuddling ALL the time, and the eyes,” Tammy finishes. “What ‘eyes’?” Debbie asked, confused. “You know, THE eyes,” Tammy tries to explain. Debbie shakes her head still not knowing, Lou is sitting back and watching the whole thing happen. “The.. bedroom eyes,” she says in quietly, as if embarrassed. “Oh, that makes sense,” Lou adds, saving Tammy. “Yeah it’s you usually giving them,” Tammy adds. “Wha- I do nothing Tam,” Lou gets defensive, knowing Tammy’s right. Tammy laughs and gets up, “I’m quickly going to the bathroom, don’t be banging whilst I’m gone.” “I’ll try,” Debbie inputs.
“Baby, come over here,” Debbie suggests, tapping the spot next to her. Lou quickly moves over and falls into a cuddle with her. “Are you glad we told her?” Lou asked. “Very, even though she already knew,” Debbie laughed. “I don’t know what ‘eyes’ shes even talking about,” Lou acts innocent. “I think you know fine well Lou Miller,” Debbie kisses the top of Lou’s head and smiles.

idk if you have done this yet but: The crew doesn't know Lou an Deb are married or even together (Except for Tam of course) and basically they start putting the little things together like how they sleep in the same room or always touch each other in that way; They start debating if they really could be a couple and Tammy finds out what they are all talking about an starts laughing and says "their married for fucks sake." :)
Tumblr media
The loft was quiet until the sound of Lou revving her bike’s engine permeated the air and the group burst into conspiracy theories.
“They’ve gotta be boning right?” Nine asked. “I mean they’re always eye fucking.”
“Boning? Don’t be so crass,” Amita gasped. “But no. They can’t keep their hands off each other.”
“And boss only has eyes for dad,” Constance grinned. “I mean we’re invisible when she pitches an idea.”
“We should get them together!” Rose cheered. “They’d be so lovely together, don’t you think? They’re clearly pining for reach other.”
“Wait,” Daphne snorted. “You don’t even think they’re together?”
“Maybe the Fuck,” Constance provided, with a mouth full of chips. “But I’ve never seen ‘em date. And you know Lou has to be chivalrous as hell.”
“Didn’t know you knew the word chivalrous,” Daphne wrinkled her nose.
“When would they have time to go on a date?” Amita squeaked. “In between robbing the Met gala? I mean they’ve been a little busy.”
“We’ve had time to eat pizza, they could go on a date, Mita,” Nine rolled her eyes. “But I don’t think either-a them do relationships. Picture Deb in the suburbs.”
“Picture Lou picking up some toddler in a motorcycle with a sidecar,” Daphne grinned.
“Oh! Here’s the expert!” Rose called, as Tammy came into the room, pocketing her phone.
“Sorry, I had to talk the husband through getting the kids to bed. You know how it is,” Tammy sighed. She was only met with blank stares. “On second thought, none of you know how it is. Right. Anyway. What are we talking about?”
“You used to run jobs with Lou and Deb right?” Amita asked. “Back in the day?”
“Back in the day?” Tammy grimaced. “In what, the 1920s?”
“You know what we mean, Tam. You were a fence for them. Right? Like when you were all—“
“Constance,” Tammy sighed. “If you finish that sentence with the word young, I swear—“
“Can we just get on with the question?” Daphne exhaled, looking bored. “The fact is, you know them Tammy. Are they fucking?”
“Wh-what?” Tammy laughed, practically choking. “I mean isn’t it obvious?”
“That they want to fuck? Well, yeah,” Nine chuckled. “But are they?”
“Like wouldn’t they make a great couple?” Amita asked. “Rose thinks we should set them up.”
“Oh, you guys are too much,” Tammy laughed, her eyes starting to tear as she clapped her hands together. “This is amazing.”
“Don’t say we’re crazy! There’s a spark!” Constance shouted, sputtering chip crumbs everywhere.
“Of course there is, you morons,” Tammy laughed, clutching at her ribs. “They’re MARRIED. I mean for fuck’s sake. Come on. Isn’t it obvious?”
“Obvious?!?” Amita screeched. “How is it obvious? Since when?”
“Then where is Lou going? I thought she said she had plans,” Daphne smirked. “Shouldn’t she be spending time with her wife? Debbie, allegedly?”
“She’s meeting Debbie,” Tammy rolled her eyes, finally catching her breath. “For dinner. Out. You know, because they’re married. For like a decade in June.”
“A DECADE!” Rose shouted. “Well, I thought they’d make a fit couple.”
“I can’t wait to tell them this,” Tammy shook her head. “
“Well then what else don’t we know?” Daphne asked, scanning the room. “Who else is fucking?”

Too good at goodbyes
Lou Miller x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Angst, unsure love
story type: one shot
This one was a rush one. My brain just whipped this up, and I couldn't stop writing it. Also, I don't know what direction this was actually going, so I hope it turned out fine.
Tumblr media
You must think that I'm stupid You must think that I'm a fool You must think that I'm new to this But I have seen this all before
You aren't stupid. You aren't a fool, and this is definitely not new to you.
You watch Lou leave your side when she finds out about the revenge Debbie is plotting towards her ex-lover, Becker.
You watch them argue. You watch Lou being frustrated and unsure about the revenge plot. You watch your lover – actually more on pursuer be worried about her crush or according to her ex-crush – this right here is the main reason why you haven't accepted her being your girlfriend.
I'm never gonna let you close to me Even though you mean the most to me 'Cause every time I open up, it hurts So, I'm never gonna get too close to you Even when I mean the most to you In case you go and leave me in the dirt
"Hey, Y/N. Are you okay?" Lou playfully shoved your shoulders as she sits beside you. She noticed how gloomy you looked and wanted to cheer you up. "Yeah. I'm just tired. I'll go to bed. Goodnight, Lou." You gave her a weak smile and walked off towards your room. Her gaze just follows your movements.
"Why don't you talk to her about it, Y/N?" Tammy comforted you as she caught you silently sobbing. "I don't know what to say, Tam. I know they are partner in crime, and I have no right to be jealous because I haven't accepted her yet, and I can't accept her because of how she is now. I know I sound selfish, but I have been hurt before, and I don't want to go through all that again." You cry more.
But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry And every time you walk out, the less I love you Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad, but it's true
"Could you stop avoiding me?!" Lou snatched your arm to make you stop walking. You stopped walking but didn't face her. "How many times do I have to tell you? Debbie is my best friend and I'm worried about her." She let your arm go. "Best friends? I'm 100% sure best friends don't look at each other like how you look at her, Lou. I'm not an idiot. I know how people look in love." You face her this time.
"You know what? Believe what you want to believe. Talk to me when you can trust my words." Lou said before leaving you standing in the hallway. "Action speaks louder, Lou." You whisper, breaking your heart.
I'm way too good at goodbyes (I'm way too good at goodbyes) I'm way too good at goodbyes (I'm way too good at goodbyes)
They got all the jewelry and successfully framed Becker. They are all gathered in the loft, drinking champagne and talking about the mission. When Tammy pointed out you're missing. Lou furrowed her eyebrows and looked for you around the loft. Finally, she had the brains to check your room.
It was empty. All of your belongings were gone. There was only a note on your bed.
Dear Lou,
Congratulations to the successful mission. I want you to know that I love you and I'm setting you free. Even though we weren't officially together. You mean so much to me, and it pains me to leave you, but you deserve someone better. Don't worry. I'm not taking this to heart as I'm already used to it.
I'm sorry that I'm too good at goodbyes.
Goodbye Lou.
Y/N.
That's when Lou realized she should have paid more attention to you. Now you are gone.

I'm not sure if you are taking requests for Ocean's 8. If you are, could I request Debbie X reader X Lou. Where both of them have a crush on reader . Who is younger , Daphne always flirts with reader the most and they get along , she's tech smart . So a combo of bad ass daredevil minx and tech smart . Or whatever you'd like, sorry if it's silly :)
SECURITY CAMERAS
pairing: lou miller x reader x debbie ocean
word count: 1275
notes and warnings: only note i have is that debbie and lou are in an established relationship w each other in this but not with reader,, but i feel like that’s kinda implied originally!! i loved this request but kinda hate what i wrote i was in a writing slump oops (also i didn’t proofread this)
Tumblr media
You unlocked your phone, forcing yourself to at least pay half-attention to the conversation being held in front of you by the rest of the group.
“How long do you think it will take?” Someone asked, and briefly you glanced up before turning back to your phone.
“Three months,” Debbie answered from a few feet away, “two, if we can get a head start on getting into the security system.”
“I’ve got it,” you said absent-mindedly, maneuvering through passwords on your phone. You’d slunk back into a corner, noticing when another hour had passed since the last time you’d checked, desperate to make sure everything was okay.
You would never admit it to anyone, for it would sound extremely creepy, but you’d hacked into Lou’s phone and were tracking her — she had gone to meet a new potential recruit for the next heist, and none of you had known much about the girl you were trying to hire, other than that she was quite proficient with weapons and fighting. You wanted to make sure Lou got home safe, especially since none of the other women working on the heist with you seemed even relatively concerned about Lou’s whereabouts, even Debbie.
You let out a sigh of relief upon finding that the location of her phone was home.
Just for good measure, you began to hack into her home security system. You knew it was a bit much, but if you could just check the cameras and make sure her car was there, you would know that everything was fine.
“Hey,” you heard, and looked up to find Debbie looming over you. Glancing around you realized that everyone else was packing up to go home. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” you nodded, “I’m just checking on my car, it’s being repaired.”
“What’s wrong with it?” Debbie asked, and you knew she could see right through you.
“An engine thing.”
“How’d you drive it all the way here to Tammy’s, then?”
You paused. At a complete loss for words you attempted to move away, but she stepped in front of you.
“What’s going on?” She asked, stepping forward, “and don’t lie to me.”
You couldn’t very well tell her that you were looking through the security cameras of her and her wife’s home.
You sighed, relenting, preparing yourself for whatever her reaction would be. “Alright, you really want to know?” You turned your phone for her to see. “I hacked into your security cameras.”
Debbie raised her eyebrows, smirking. “Oh? And why did you do that?”
“No one seemed very concerned about Lou meeting the new girl, so I just wanted to make sure she got home okay.”
“You couldn’t have texted her?”
“I didn’t want to seem invasive. Creepy.”
“So hacking into our home security isn’t creepy?” Debbie challenged, though you could hear the slight amusement in her tone.
You didn’t have any idea how to respond to that. “Sorry,” you said quietly, embarrassment rising in your chest.
“No, it’s okay. I’m just a bit disappointed that it’s only Lou you’re watching.”
“I never said that,” you corrected with a small smile, and she nodded.
“You’re really fucking weird.”
“Ok, James Bond.”
She scoffed. “I’m much more sexy than James Bond.”
“I know,” you agreed, and though her expression stayed set in stone, you knew your agreement had caught her attention.
“Come over tomorrow,” Debbie said abruptly. “You want to know if everything’s fine. Come see for yourself.”
“What time?”
“Whenever you want.”
You nodded, shifting slightly in your stance as her gaze became more intense. “I’ll be there.”
She didn’t give you a response, only dug her keys out of her purse and left smugly, flashing you a glance as if she’d won an unspoken competition.
You arrived the next day just after noon. All morning you’d been dying to see Lou and Debbie, but every time you’d picked up your keys to leave you had made up some excuse of why you needed another half hour, until eventually you had swallowed your excuses and had forced yourself into the car. You were terrified in the best way, enamored with the two women so completely that every interaction you had seemed like the coming of rapture.
You knocked on the door to the theater. It felt like an eternity before Lou approached and let you in, and as you stepped into their home you felt an overwhelming aura of comfort, and a great amount of your nerves melted away. You realized how terribly deeply you loved the both of them, Lou and Debbie, that you could simply be in their presence and all of your worries would melt away.
“We were starting to think you wouldn’t make it,” Lou said, her tone light as she led you into the living room.
“I wouldn’t have missed seeing you.”
“I’m glad,” she answered, continuing into the kitchen. She came back after with a bottle of wine and three glasses, opening it and beginning to pour drinks. “Debbie should be down in a few minutes.”
As if on cue, you heard footsteps as someone descended the stairs, and after a moment Debbie appeared, angelic in every stride, picturesque in the way she sat down on the sofa across from you with such nonchalance.
Your gaze flickered over to Lou, and you noticed that she, too, had been captivated for a moment. The ghost of a smile lingered on her lips as she sat in the armchair next to the sofa.
Feeling unspeakably awkward as the only one still standing, you sat down next to Debbie on the sofa, taking a sip of your wine.
“I stole that from Tammy’s,” Debbie said with a small smile, gesturing to the wine. “I doubt she’ll miss it, with all the shit she has packed in her house.”
“Good call with stealing it,” you said, “Tammy’s the biggest wine snob I’ve ever met, though then again there’s Daphne, and she won’t drink anything unless she thinks the label is pretty.”
“You spend a lot of time with Daphne,” said Lou, her tone completely neutral.
“We’ve known each other for a long time.”
“Seems like it.”
“What does that mean?” You asked, noticing the edge to her tone. You smirked, your gaze flickering between them. “What, you think I’m into Daphne?”
“Aren’t you?”
“She never leaves your side,” Debbie agreed, setting her wine on the table.
“Daphne’s beautiful,” you said, “but I’ve never had my sights set on her.”
“She certainly has hers set on you.”
“I’m not sure I understand why the two of you are so concerned with who I may or may not be seeing,” you criticized. “If you’ve called me all the way out here just to—”
You were cut off by Debbie’s lips connecting with yours, her hand having found its way to your jaw. You were overcome completely by her, only her, entirely bliss.
She was the first to pull away, analyzing your features for any indication of your reaction.
In a silent reassurance you pulled her in again, letting yourself be enveloped once more in the tenderness of her touch.
All at once Lou was on your other side, sitting against the armrest of the sofa. You extended a hand towards her, pulling her closer, and then it was not Debbie to overcome your senses but Lou, and finally you felt complete, at home in a way you had never before felt.
“If I’d known that being a bit of a stalker and hacking your security cameras would get me this,” you breathed after a minute, biting back a smile, “I would have done it a lot sooner.”

I wouldn't forget a pretty face
Warnings: First Meetings, fluff, fun
Word count: 1.4 K
Pairing: Daphne Kluger x Fem!Reader
Prompt: Daphne wouldn't forget a pretty face. Not even when that pretty face is "nobody"
Requests: OPEN
[Main masterlist] [Ocean's 8 masterlist]
Tumblr media
The first time I saw her was even before Debbie called me on the holdup. I had some debts to pay, and dedicating myself only to studying in my university years had left me with zero work experience. So, the only company that had helped me get a job after studying “Fashion Design” was the big Chanel store in Soho, New York.
Daphne was doing some shopping in the area, until a group of paparazzi began to chase her, forcing her to enter a store so that her bodyguards could disperse the press and get her into her truck.
I was arranging the seasonal clothes, trying not to focus my eyes on her figure, but she did look at me, she gave me a smile and I can even listen to a little of her conversation with her team while she walked around the store, trying not to get bored while waiting.
It didn't take long for the truck to pull up in front of the store, and as quickly as that happened, Daphne was gone.
Some time later, Debbie came to me, the mythical (and forgotten) Rose Weil needed a reliable right hand to carry out this theft; and both Lou and Debbie knew how badly she needed that money.
Although I never got to meet Daphne herself in the many times Rose had had to meet with the actress, the next time I saw her, it was at the Met. My good friend Lou needed a confidence booster, and right now, she was grateful for the multiple episodes of Masterchef she'd seen.
By the time I had been given my new diamond bracelet to put in the little bag I carried with me, right at that moment, I was able to relax. I had been under so much stress that I had barely been able to enjoy the big party Tammy had thrown us into.
And there, again, was Daphne. Her eyes collided with mine again, but now, instead of bringing out my kinder side and trying to give her a smile, I quickly looked away from her eyes. Debbie said she wanted to lay low. It sounds silly, Daphne Kluger, a Hollywood star wouldn't remember my face, not when she sees millions of people every day, why would she remember the face of a simple employee who doesn't earn even 3% of what she earned in a single movie?
Time passed again. Now, right at this moment Lou and Debbie were making sure that each part of the jewels were being sold so that they could deposit the corresponding part in each of the eight bank accounts; while that was going on, i had to keep working at the store, i still had to look like a job… and to be honest, i worked so hard at this damn store, all i ask in return is a decent damn reward.
My boss had asked me to put the makeup and perfume products behind the counter, so I did, putting all my attention on the task, which caused me not to notice that someone had arrived at the store; more specifically, that someone had stood in front of me.
"I knew I had seen you"
My head that was inside the showcase could only see a flat stomach covered in a fine brown cloth; Quickly my eyes looked up only to meet Daphne's face.
I tried to get up quickly until my head hit the glass. Forgetting that my head was still inside the glass case.
She just let out a small smile that she hid behind her hand, but despite that, I could notice flashes of concern.
"What?"
Ask, now with your head out of the glass space.
"It's you, isn't it?, the one who wore that sexy dress at the MET"
"I… I'm sorry…?"
"Of course you were there! I wouldn't forget a face as pretty as yours." I could feel the heat and redness rising up my neck and settling on my cheeks, causing Daphne's brown eyes to take on a different glow. You know, the party where I supposedly dropped the famous necklace…”
“ 'Supposedly'? What do you mean 'supposedly'?”
“It turns out that… the necklace found was fake; the actual necklace hasn't turned up, so a private investigator is helping to find it.” Damn. Debbie promised that it was almost impossible to use an investigator for this. Damn "The investigator has as a major suspect a certain Debbie Ocean… and he told me that even though she has a perfect alibi, he still maintains her as the main suspect" I felt the muscles in my neck and shoulders tense, it even felt like a metal ball was falling. It will start to form in my esophagus and try to go down. "I guess you don't have anything to do with that Debbie girl, do you, sweetie?" just as I was about to open my mouth to answer her question, she spoke again "wait, isn't that the blonde you shared a few drinks with at the party?"
She raised her eyebrows, putting my body between a rock and a hard place; because, not only was she one of the most beautiful women in the world, I now realized, she was one of the most intelligent women in the world. She already knew it, and I couldn't hide it
"Good morning Miss Kluger, can we help you with something?"
My boss had come to our place, screaming with her eyes to get back to work
"Yes, I would like to buy the blouse that your employee models" Both pairs of eyes fell on my blouse "And if it comes with the model, it would be a thousand times better"
She winked again, causing the blush to intensify on my cheeks.
———————————————————————————
The sound that the doors made when opening made us all stop doing our activities, only to pay attention to the beautiful actress who had just entered Lou's place.
"You guys are FUCKED"
She spoke while walking towards us, sitting in the chair that was in front of me.
"Sorry?" Tammy asked. "How did you get here?"
"We invite her" Lou spoke
they were all silent
“Chilly,” Daphne remarked at the glances given by the rest of the group, “what about, 'Hi Daph, welcome to the team. Let's not all high five at once.'”
“Discovered Y/N” was Debbie's turn
"What?!" they all shouted
“Y/N…how did you let her find you out?”
"I…"
"She didn't do anything," Daphne defended me. “I'm just not the typical dumb Hollywood actress”
“Miss Kluger, here, figured out the move from the start; only that its common thread was Y/N”
"Of course, not to mention that discreet is not a word I would use to describe them."
They all remained silent, looking at each other trying to understand the situation, while bitch Constance the time out to see the cards of the others. Damn cheating bitch.
"Not to mention that the private investigator is about to check each one of you asses"
"Investigator?" asked Rose scared
"That was not in the plan" Amita spoke
“That's why Miss Kluger is here. She herself offered to help us."
"Why would you help a group of criminals?" question Tammy
“Are you an only child?” I asked causing giggles
"Well, I don't have many friends, and book clubs are stupidly boring."
"So… you decided to help criminals because you don't have any friends?"
"Yep, she is definitely an only child" spoke Eight Ball
"Okay, ladies, with this done, I think we can continue" Lou spoke.
Of course, I knew Lou very well, and I knew that she considered herself the queen of the UNO, so, I wanted to embarrass ourselves.
Lou, Eight Ball, Constance and I played UNO, while Debbie and Tammy talked in the kitchen, serving up a few slices of pizza, just as Amita and Rose talked about some designers, leaving Daphne alone.
Knowing that having Lou, a master of the game and a cheating bitch like Constance; I put the game down and got up, walking to the front to return to sit next to Daphne.
"Hello" I greeted as I raised my hand, squeezing hers in a warm squeeze "I'm Y/N"
"Wow, I'm glad to name a pretty face like yours."
How was it so easy for her to make me blush?
"Well, I'm glad to put a cute personality on a not-so-simple, pretty face."
It was her turn to blush
———————————————————————————
Lou dropped her game a bit and stood up next to Debbie and Tammy, putting an arm around Debbie's shoulders.
"Okay, how much do you bet those two are going to end up dating?" with her chin she pointed to the figure of Y/N and Daphne, who were getting closer and closer
“Dating?, I bet my life Y/N is already planning their wedding,” Tammy teased.
"She even knows where her honeymoon is going to be," Debbie continued, giving Lou a kiss on the cheek.

TAMMY POV//
(altered conversation from the movie)
"They're here!" I shout running past Y/n into the dining room, "Coming!" I finish setting up the table before opening the door.
The blonde greets me first, "We brought vodka." I look to the bottles she has in each hand.
"I see that but most people say hello, Lou." I let them both in.
Y/n comes out, receiving the same greeting from Lou, before laughing and hugging my two friends, "Thank you! It's nice to finally meet you guys." she glances at the bottle label.
"Don't worry, it's not watered down. We brought the food stuff and bubbly." Debbie holds up the bottle in her hands.
"Well thanks, I'll go put this up for later." my girl replies with a kind smile.
"And I’ll put this on ice." I quickly go back to chat with my friends, "So how have y—"
"We've got a job." Lou states.
I sigh, "I am focusing on my family right now, I told you—"
"We got it all planned out." this time Debbie cuts me off.
"What? Do you want to go back to jail?" I whisper yell.
"Cmon, Tammy, you know we won't get caught! What do you think we are, a bunch of pussies?" Lou laughs.
"We saw the garage" Deb wiggles her eyebrows, "thought you retired?"
"I did." I cross my arms.
"Not as exciting as hijacking trucks that are smuggling dishwashers to Canada, huh?" Debbie smirks.
"Yeah, well, I don't do that anymore... so." I shrug.
"But you were so very good at it" she continues.
"Thank you." I avoid eye contact.
"So... what? Is everything in there is for personal use?" Lou asks.
"What do you want? I thought you were coming for a nice welcome back dinner."
Debbie shrugs, "We just wanna reconnect."
"Reconnect?" I repeat, unconvinced.
"Mhm." Debbie glances at Lou.
Lou agrees, “Yeah.”
Tumblr media
"Reconnect." I narrow my eyes at her.
"Mhm, you're not bored out here are ya Tam Tam?" Debbie steps towards me.
"No? No. I'm not bored."
"Good."
"Why... would you ask that." my calves hit the couch and I sit down.
"Well, we need a fence." Deb sits on the chair across from me.
"Well, I told you I don't do that anymore. I'm out." I try to sit tall.
"It's a big job." Lou adds, snooping around the room.
I cut my eyes at her, "I don't care."
"Do you want me to tell you how big the job is?" Debbie draws my attention again.
"Wha- no. I really don't."
Deb smiles at an equally amused Lou, "I think I'm gonna tell her how big the job is." she looks towards the kitchen to make sure Y/n can't hear before whispering to me.
My jaw drops, "Are you kidding?"
"No." Deb and Lou smile.
"Dinners almost done! Sorry for the wait." Y/n calls out.
“No worries!” Lou replies.
"Thank you, sweetheart!" I call back still thinking about the money, "Thanks a lot." I whisper-yell to Debbie.
"She's real sweet" Deb smiles, "how do you explain all that crap to her?" she nods towards the garage.
"Y/n knows what I've done."
"And she stuck around?" Lou questions, sitting on the arm of Debbie’s chair.
"Girls love a criminal" Deb smiles up at her girlfriend.
"Yeah..." Lou grins.
"Yeah?"
"Oh yeah—"
"Can you guys not" I interrupt.
They both blush slightly before Debbie speaks, "So is that a yes?"
I run the outcomes through my head, "The kids will be fine. I'll tell them and their father I'm on a work trip. It depends on Y/n, it's hard enough when we're apart for my actual work as it is."
They laugh, but are kept from responding as my girl comes in with the food.
______________
Y/N POV//
(mini recap from your POV)
The kids are at their dad's house which means Tammy has me playing hostess for her friends tonight.
Deb and Lou arrived a little late, no complaints, bearing gifts in the form of alcohol, negative amount of complaints.
"You alright, sweetie?" Tammy kisses the side of my head, and places the vodka down while I check the food.
"I'm great, babe. Go entertain. I know it's been a while since you've seen them" I smile, giving her a peck as I finish up.
After a while I notice they've gone quiet so I let them know dinner is almost ready.
They abruptly stop talking when I come in with the food.
Lou rubs her hands together then pulls out Debbie's chair, "Looks amazing."
They all share a look before sitting down.

TAMMY POV//
(( time skip / after dinner ))
Once they've left I go into the kitchen to see Y/n drying the dishes.
"How long is the job?" she asks without turning around.
My eyes widen, "I- How'd you know?"
"Intuition" she shrugs.
"Oh..." I smilie weakly even though she's not looking at me.
"That and the suspicious whispering mixed with their weird looks trying to figure out whether or not to bring it up in front of me."
"Oh" I force a laugh, scratching the back of my neck.
She dries her hands and turns to look at me, "How long?"
"About two months." I reply quietly, moving to help clean.
"What about the kids?"
"They can carry on with their normal schedule if that's alright with you, I'll just have to talk to their dad."
She nods, so I continue.
"We didn't discuss many of the details but we have to figure some other stuff beforehand. So we need to have a cushion of time before the event."
"Where?"
"Main job is in New York"
She nods again with her eyes trained on the floor, breaking my heart when her bottom lip pokes out a bit.
"I know, baby." I move to stand in front of her, rubbing up and down the side of her arms.
She leans her head on my shoulder, inhaling my perfume while I kiss her head repeatedly.
"I'll be back before you know it, I promise." I whisper.
"When do you leave?"
"A week."
"Right....okay.....this isn't like your usual stuff, Tammy. I don't know what I'd do if you got arrested. Jesus- two months?"
"I know baby, I know." she wraps her arms around my waist, her head fitting perfectly in the crook of my neck, "It'll go by quick, sweetheart, and I'll call you every—"
"Promise?" she leans back to meet my eyes.
I smile, "I cross my heart."
She pokes my chest, "You better not get caught" with a swift kiss, she heads upstairs for the night.
Laughing, I follow her to get ready for bed.
(( fast forward a little under 2 months ))
TAMMY POV//
mine 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩: hi hi hi <3
me: hello beautiful !!
mine 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩: I just got home so i'm gonna shower and i'll call you when i'm done if that works for you???
me: perfect!!! we're in for the night so whenever you're done is fine <3 _______________
So I just checked my phone for the hundredth time during the movie to see if she's done showering yet.
"Guys I think Tammy's whipped" Nine Ball laughs, eating her chips.
"You think?" Debbie laughs, "You should've seen her when we first told her."
Lou jumps in, mocking our conversation, "I'd love to, but it depends on Y/n. It's so hard when we're apart."
I glare at Lou, "Your girlfriend is with you, so you can't talk."
"She's got you there babe" Debbie pats Lou's back, "You are checking your phone like it's a bomb though, Tam Tam, but I get it." she adds sitting on Lou's lap.
Lou scoffs, "I get it, too! I may be taken but I do have eyes and Y/n is—" Deb smacks her on the back of her head.
I narrow my eyes at her, "Watch it—" I look to my phone seeing a picture of me and my girl light up the screen with a text asking if I can talk now.
I reply Absolutely and pick up when the call comes in, "Hold on a second, honey." that’s when a chorus of teasing begins.
Amita mimics me, “Honey!”
Daphne and Rose make loud kissy noises.
“Whipped.” Nine Ball repeats, eyes on her computer.
Constance winds her arm back and flicks her wrist like Indiana Jones with a “Whop-SHhhh”
I flip them all off as I leave the room _______________
Y/N POV//
"Hi gorgeous!"
"Hey, what happened there? You alright?" I ask, smiling at the sound of her voice.
Tammy lowers her voice, "I'm fine. We were in the other room watching tv so I'm just keeping my voice down. I don't want to be interruptive nor do I want to be eavesdropped on, so it'll just be a delightful asmr-ish conversation tonight. I hope you don't mind?" she laughs through her nose.
"Not at all baby, it's sexy when you whisper." I whisper back.
"Yeah? You don't sound so bad yourself" smirk evident in her voice, "you don't have to whisper though, sweetie, you can speak as loud as you want because I have the volume down so only I need to whisper. And I know it's like a natural human instinct to mirror the person—"
"Tam?"
"Yeah honey?"
"As much as I love this, why don't you just go to your room instead of the one right next to them? That way you can talk properly and I can see that face of yours."
Her voice returns to a normal volume, "...Why didn't I think of that... I might as well get ready for bed then, too."
We laugh as she climbs the stairs, slight blush on her cheeks as the facetime goes through.
"There's my girl" she smiles, now making me blush.
"I miss you!" I move to lay on my side as she sets the phone up in the bathroom, getting ready to take off her make up.
"I miss you more, my love! Don't get me wrong certain nights are fine, and I don't want you to worry about me. But obviously I think its- its only human nature that certain nights are tougher than others. That and I'm just really spoiled to usually have you daily!" she laughs.
I smile, just glad to hear and see her again.
"OH! So Constance was 'hyped', as she put it, to meet me. And I was 'hype' to meet her- and I was just so tired because I did not sleep at all, but when we went out she really just wanted to take pictures of everything—" she throws her head back as she laughs at whatever memory is playing in her head, “I had to remind her to only take pictures of things that can’t be used as evidence, obviously.”
"Can you send 'em Tam?"
She tosses the make up wipes, "Sure, hold on...also she knows I miss you so she wanted to give me something to share."
Tumblr media
"That's when I went in for my undercover job"
Tumblr media
"And when we were scoping out the venue. After two I was like 'hey that's enough'. But nope...there should be more coming."
Tumblr media
"That last one was just before you called. But earlier this week she wanted to say 'hey look we are finally all together'" she continues to laugh.
I chuckle as the pictures come in.
"It was like 5:30 in the afternoon and after taking a few of me again, she handed the phone to a stranger and asked them to take some."
"No!" I laugh.
Tumblr media
Her head pops back into frame, face wash on her cheeks, "Yes! She told us 'look tough' but we were all so exhausted. I still think they're cute, but I was just so tired, and my eyelids were horribly droopy. But they're still cute though" she smiles, "right?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Only you could look this good while being absolutely exhausted" I reply zooming in on the photos.
"Liar, but she's quite the photographer. Now you can put faces to the names. OH! One more...hold on, I know you'll like this one..."
Tumblr media
"Hot damn." I bring the phone closer to my face.
Tammy laughs, drying her face and hands.
"I....am- I- I am at a loss for words. You gorgeous fucking human being."
She props her phone on the dresser and hangs her head to hide her blush, "I thought youd appreciate it." she takes out her pajamas.
Tammy starts to undress and I start to sing, "Cause mama I'm in love with a criminal. So I can assume everything went alright?"
She stops to think for a moment, "Yeah? Yeah. You know, baby, it's been a really long time since I've done something like this but Debbie's not worried so that's a good sign. We just have to close some loose ends before we head home. So consider those a long distance gift." putting her dirty clothes in the laundry.
"How have you been doing otherwise, my love?" I ask.
"Ummmm" she pauses to put her shirt on (well actually it's mine), "I've been keeping busy but nights can be tricky. Really tricky but I'll tell you one thing, mornings? Mornings right now are the worst!"
"Why?" I smile as she throws her hair up in a ponytail.
"I'll be straight with you on that one, baby, because at least at night I can kinda, you know, I can distract myself to sleep." she puts her sweatpants on and climbs into bed. "I can think about the kids, or the good things that have happened otherwise during the day, or I've just gotten off the phone with you. I can just sort of entertain myself into dream world. Fantasize about, you know, anything I want in order to get my mind off the fact that I just broke the law and you're not here with me and it can be okay. There's plenty- there's plenty of things to fall asleep to in the world that won't make you crazy."
I hum in agreement.
"But mornings? Mornings make me nuts without you" she sighs, "just because...I don't- I ju- you and—"
"You must really hate them, you can't even talk about it."
She laughs at my teasing, "You and I both know that I'm not a morning person."
"You like being up but you don't like getting up" I confirm.
"Exactly! Ughhh, the best start to my day is waking up with you. Even when you're not trying I swear it just- to wake up next to you is just like a shot of endorphins. It is like sunshine in a bottle. I'm serious! I don't need coffee. I don't need anything. Just to look at you or to touch you...to kiss you..." she closes her eyes and smiles, "listen to you speak. Sometimes if you're feeling up to it you make me laugh...I can't think of a better way to start a day."
I roll onto my other side so its almost like she’s laying on her side of the bed, "You're making it really hard to be this far."
"I know baby" she grumbles, "but without you- that's honestly- well I have plenty of incentive and reason to get out of bed, I mean the quicker we do this the quicker I'm back home. Anyways, there's no reason to worry, if you were gonna worry though then that's where it's been really hard is mornings."
"I'm not gonna lie I have been sleeping on your side of the bed." I admit.
"Really? Ummm...how do I put this? Like a stalker I took some of your clothes, as I’m sure you noticed.” she holds the phone high above her head and gestures to her upper body, “I'll wear your sweatshirt to bed or I snuggle it like a teddy bear" she laughs, covering her reddening face with her hand.
"You are so cute." I smile.
She smiles back, "But I'm your stalker though....I don't know if it makes it sound better- it could sound better if I sold that delivery strongly? No, more softly" she starts to whisper, "I'm your stalker. Oh no! That sounds so much worse! I'm sorry, I take it back. I'm not- no I'm not your stalker. I just happen to love you a lot so I wear your sweater to sleep or I snuggle it." a yawn closes out her rambling.
There's a comfortable moment of silence as we look at each other through the screen.
Just when I think she’s asleep she perks up. Her voice laced with exhaustion, "I think I'm kind of a you addict and so I just try to get my you hit even if it's just a watered down product of that sort- and this analogy is terrible— "
"Is this your sweet way of telling me that you've taken up drugs, Tam?" I ask.
"Very funny- speaking of terrible! Those cookies I told you I sent you: so I read online that sending baked goods was like a really great idea and that they would stay...preserved? But the more I think about it, baby, you can just toss em out. I think they're probably gonna arrive in a day or two."
"Why would I throw em out?" I ask.
"Oof, I don't know but it makes me nervous" she scrunches her nose, "I found this whole blog about this couple who has successfully done long distance for a very very long time because between the two of them and their jobs they're just constantly traveling. She has all these recommendations of things that work. In short, one of the things they've always loved to do for each other, because they love to cook together, is send each other baked goods or recipes of things they've recently learned to make. I thought it would be cute."
"That is cute, Tam!" I smile.
"But I'm worried about it now, just- just maybe gift one to a trash colleague first? If they survive then you can just proceed and if they don't...then just toss em."
"I'll keep that in mind"
"This is also what's happening to me without you, I'm getting a little dark." She giggles, "Um but I actually have been learning how to bake a little bit more. It's one of those things I used to do and then I just lost my sweet tooth. Probably around the time I met you actually. I lost my sweet tooth but it used to be bad, honey."
"Really?"
"Oh yeah. All I ever wanted was sugar. Morning, noon, and night. If I had a choice? It was gonna be something sweet. Somehow that just changed and I just started craving savory foods more. So I just started cooking as opposed to baking. I remember baking was always really fun because it’s a really great gift for people that I love. You can fancify baked goods in a way that I'm not skilled enough in learning, but at least-” she looks past the phone, “No I'm just gonna head to bed!" she calls out.
"You're getting boring in old age, Tam Tam!" Debbie yells, probably on her way to bed.
"One: you’re older than me, two: we literally just committed a multi million dollar robbery! Am I not allowed to rest?!" she exclaims.
"Yeah yeah, tell your honey goodnight for us!" Lou adds.
Tammy turns back to the phone, "Why do I hang out with these people? They made me lose my train of thought..."
"You were talking about fancifying baked goods- I don't think that's a word, babe."
"Well we've made it one- OH! As I was saying: we can learn how to do anything, baby, but I have not yet learned how to fancify my cooking in the same way that I can pipe icing on a cake or cupcake or sprinkle colors through cookies and swirl em." her hand flails around in motions that match her words.
"Mmm, I know what you mean" I nod.
"Yeah, so I just feel like I know more artistic freedom in the world of baking, but I lost my incentive to bake when I lost my sweet tooth. So doing it again has been cathartic!"
"Im glad, baby." I smile at her excitement.
"Thank you, gorgeous. I’m gifting most of my baked goods more than I am keeping them for myself, though. It has still been therapeutic."
"I think any artistic expression especially during challenging times or lonely occasions is always gonna be healthy and helpful, Tam."
She hums in agreement, "Indeed, my love. It just comes with the territory of having someone to miss. So I'm not really mad at it."
"I'm glad"
"I am glad that you are glad. We know how good it is to be together and our bodies are gonna respond to that difference."
"I've been trying really really hard to manage and fill my time without you, here." I frown.
"Well I'll be back soon. I'm hoping to convince Debbie to let me work remote next time she needs my help. I know it's a bit far fetched but with the world being as globalized as it is now I'm hoping."
"You think you'll be able to do your part okay like that?"
"As far as location is concerned I'll always prefer home, but I don't think it would be an epic sacrifice for everyone. I'd just like to stay with my family and help them. Two birds with one stone, baby. Of course the only downside is you would see me get bent out of shape."
"My hot, mature, criminal fiancée getting all riled up...that does not sound like something I could sit and watch all day, at all. Not. At. All." I reply sarcastically.
She chuckles, a hand once again coming up to cover her blushing face, "Speaking of shape- you will soon have to see I am getting a little out of shape, and I know that doesn't faze you—"
"You are the finest woman I've ever seen I doubt that'll change." I shrug.
She smiles, "—but it fazes me because I just feel like- and I know you beg to differ on this so shush, but I just feel like you....how do I put this...your body confidence has yo-yoed like everybody else's but I just feel like you always look so good!"
"Lies!"
"Despite the way you feel about yourself I always think 'damn she is so beautiful'. Whether you're waking up in the morning or we're going to bed or you're just running errands. I always feel like you look stunning, and there's a piece of me that feels like 'this woman looks so good for me that I wanna look good for her' "
I shake my head, "You look stunning all the time Tam, you're insane and I completely disagree."
"Just because you disagree doesn't mean you're not doing a service for me. And I'd like to return the eye candy for you, too." she laughs.
"Eye candy?!” I sputter, “Baby have you seen you?"
"As I said: I'm a little embarrassed that I'm a little out of shape, so the next time you see me you need to be extra nice. Even if you have to lie. I'll let this one go." she smiles.
"I don't think I could ever not be attracted to you in every way possibly, my love."
"Yeah?" she asks.
"Of course baby, but I'm glad I can be of eye candy service." I roll my eyes.
"I know I've won the lottery when it comes to you. It is my pleasure to live the bittersweet symphony that is life with you."
"You made my milf dream come true" I laugh.
She grins, "Not to get dark here, again. I have wondered like 'oh my gosh if something horrible were to happen to you or if I were to lose you' that'd be it for dating."
"Tammy, men and women would flock to your front door for a chance."
"Nah, I'd rather settle for be single and relish in the fact that I had you. I don't want to make you uncomfy and put you on a pedestal, but I think it's important to acknowledge how compatible we are. I get you, baby. You get me. And I want you. And I love you. My protective instincts go crazy when I'm with you. Sure I miss you now, obviously, but I miss you when I go to the grocery store on occasion! We just firmly understand where we stand which is Mount Olympus, where we stand is— wait give me another great analogy- wait that's not an analogy—"
"You are so tired right now" I laugh.
"It is on the tip of my tongue- it's a metaphor! We've seen people go through the worst to make things work especially with distance. There's stress and mistrust- for them, but all we do is miss each other and that's that."
"I know what you mean. If it wasn't any clearer beforehand that is partially how I know for sure that I have my person. For some people distance is really the kiss of death." I shake my head.
She struggles to keep her eyes open, "Mhm, but the closer we get the harder it is to be away" she pouts, "And we can talk about anything! I can be myself with you and you like it!"
"I love it personally" I smile.
"See! I can tell you what we're up to, or if something that made me angry, or ask you about your work. Everything feels like quality time and quality discussion because I love your face and I love talking to you...I am so very enamored by you" she yawns, "and that's that."
“I think its time for bed”
“I think so also as well...”
I smile as she closes her eyes, "I love you Tammy"
"I love you, gorgeous.......I love the sound of your voice...I miss you..."
"I miss you more, baby..."
"Only six more days!" she adds.
"Six more days." I yawn as we both fall asleep.

A/N: this isnt christmassy as i would've wanted it, maybe bc i wasnt feeling it lmao and idk if this is fluffy enough 😭 but I hope you like it!!!
Tumblr media
“Why don’t we just order some take-out?” Constance asked before stuffing her mouth with a burger.
“We’ve been feeding off of take-outs since forever, Connie. Don’t you want some real food in your stomach?” Nine-ball gave Constance her infamous side-eye, which made the woman put her hands up in retreat. She doesn’t win much against the hacker’s retorts.
Meanwhile, Rose helps Debbie put decorations in the Christmas tree as per your request. They hadn’t told Lou it was you who asked for it, they just let Lou wake up with Christmas decorations around the loft.
Lou watched the women roam around the loft from upstairs. Her arms were propped on the banisters, her tongue poking the insides of her cheeks as she zones out.
The loft hadn’t got this homely vibe since the gang – and you, have hung around often. It was weird at first but the feeling was welcome. The only thing missing right now is you.
Lou misses you so much.
She won’t say it out loud, but the women could tell because of her drastic mood changes a month after your work had required you to stay at a different location for six months. It was out of character for her, but you two haven’t been away for this long. How long has it been anyway?
Tammy had finished putting the lasagna in the oven. Looking up, she saw the Aussie lost in her thoughts and went up to her. She knows exactly what was going on in her mind.
“Hey, why don’t you pick up some items for me?” Tammy took the list from her pocket and handed it to Lou, “So you don’t ruin the mood. It’s very festive downstairs and then I see you here sulking.”
Lou groaned, taking the paper from the other blonde. “This is all alcohol. Why don’t we just go to the club after?”
Tammy looked so surprised at the question. “Uh- uhm wait. Let me ask them quick,” she scurried downstairs, going to where Debbie is. Tammy could have just shouted from where they are, why did they have to whisper? It’s like they don’t want Lou to hear what they were talking about.
Both women looked up to Lou. She raised an eyebrow at them, thinking what these nerds are up to. It took a while before they finished talking, as Debbie had to go outside to make some phone calls.
Lou is somehow irked out by the unusual behavior of her two friends, so she goes down to pry on whatever is going on. She was about to speak when the brunette walked in. “Club after dinner?” Debbie confirmed before going back to her previous activity.
The dinner went by, and they were prepping up to go to Lou’s club. While they were eating, she couldn’t help but miss you more. Lasagna was your favorite, and she could almost hear and see you dancing around the kitchen while making it. It also doesn’t help that you hadn’t made contact all day. Maybe the vodka could help.
You were just about to collect your luggage when your phone ringed. “Hey, Debs. What’s up?”
“Is it okay if we go to the club instead? Lou’s getting kinda suspicious, and well. You know how she gets.”
“No problem. I’ll just drop my things in the loft then go right ahead.”
“Great! See you later?”
“I’ll see you. Thanks, Debbie.”
You have been planning this for a week now. It isn’t much, just your hastily planned surprise appearance as your schedule had allowed you to be back a week earlier. Lou doesn’t have any idea that you’ll be back home today. The gang had helped to keep Lou busy, and all she knows is you’ll be back a day before New Year’s.
Change of plans.
Tammy, Debbie, Lou, and Nine-ball helped themselves for a drink first, while Constance and Rose have gone to mingle along with sweaty bodies on the dance floor.
Your girlfriend, the ever-generous club owner has placed herself behind the bar. She had served the women their drinks and done even the mundane wiping of glasses just to keep her mind off of you.
The three had engaged in a conversation, sometimes Lou chimes in but she can’t help but look at the entrance from time to time, imagining you would walk in. The door opened.
“Amita! Hey, girl!”
For such a small woman, Lou wonders how Constance's voice would always stand up in the crowd.
She sighed, slightly disappointed. Why does she keep waiting for you to turn up when you were on the other side of the world?
Lou’s head whipped at the door’s direction once again. And just like earlier, she had just disappointed herself even more.
The fashionably late Daphne went straight at the bar, kissing the ladies in the cheeks. “Hi, so sorry I’m late. We had to reshoot some scenes.”
Just as the actress sat down, Lou had already slid a drink in her front. “Oh, right. There’s someone looking for you, Lou.
“Who?”
“I think her name is April?” Daphne answered, shrugging.
What could April want this time? She thought they had left early. Lou excused herself and tried to find the girl in the sea of swaying bodies. However, she didn’t need to try too hard as April found her first.
“Hi, boss. I thought I saw you at the bar when you arrived with your friends,” April semi-yelled, so Lou can hear her above the music.
“Yeah, I was.”
“Then I thought you’d left because I heard your bike revving, but they said you never left. Just want to let you know.”
Somebody called April away, making it her cue to leave. Lou panicked and went off to where her bike was supposed to be parked. It wasn’t there.
The blonde cursed under her breath as she roams around to find it. There were bikes parked across the lot, but it wasn’t hers. She need not look closely, she’ll know hers from a mile away.
And there it was, along with whoever had the guts to steal her bike. Lou tries to make out their face under the streetlamp but they were wearing a helmet. She walked toward them, fuming.
When Lou was near enough, the bike thief spoke. “Took you long enough.”
Removing the helmet, you were mumbling about how bikers do not feel suffocated in the protective gear. Then you turned to your girlfriend with a sly grin, but she wipes it off as she pulled you for a kiss. It was a hungry and breathtaking one, Lou literally taking your breath away and making your knees buckle.
“Well, that’s a nice welcome home and a Christmas present. Do it again?” breathlessly, you asked.
Lou obliges, this time the kiss was much slower, more intimate. You feel her smile against your lips and you smiled in return.
Your lips part, pressing your forehead onto hers.
“Don’t ever leave me that long again.”
“Never.”

friends don’t kiss me like you do
Tumblr media
summary: lou and debbie have to fight their feelings for each other while working/living together + one very jealous lou miller.
length: long (and gay) enough
warnings: extreme fluff!! and a little angst
“Just leave it there, TamTam, Jesus.” Debbie spoke with an angry tone while Tammy was sitting at the other end of Lou’s couch, trying to fix Debbie’s heel that broke when she and Tammy ran home together after getting out of the cab on a rainy New York city night.
Debbie almost twisted her ankle stepping on a cobblestone and Tammy laughed, tugging her arm and helping Debbie steady herself, but one of her heels was now wrecked and the brunette was cursing under her breath, meeting an impatient Lou waiting for them by the door, whispering “what the fuck” when both women showed up looking like train wrecks, both a little drunk too. It was supposed to be a business dinner with one of Debbie’s old friends who worked at the bank, and it ended up with margaritas and endless vodka shots.
Lou was a bit hurt, not ever admitting that to anyone, that Debbie didn’t ask her to come with her, calling Tammy instead. Sure, Tammy was her best friend too, but she wasn’t Lou, and Lou wondered why not just ask her when Tammy had to leave four snotty kids at home and Lou was always just… there. She welcomed their drunk mess with tea and dry towels, and now she was watching the silly shatter from the kitchen as Debbie snatched the heel from Tammy’s hand with a giggle.
“Leave it to me, honey, I can do it.” Lou knew it was all part of the banter, but hearing someone else call Debbie those stupid pet names was one of the worst things she’d ever witnessed. It only made her wanna throw up, thinking she’d been somehow replaced by Tammy as the best friend, and maybe as something else too. And it hurt her even more that Tammy was her friend, and that now she was starting to act and think like an immature teenager. Put it together, Miller.
.
Lou was in love. She couldn’t deny it. As much as she really, really, truly wanted to. She and Debbie had decided on staying “just friends” until they could really work things out between them and also get the heist successfully done. But every time Lou let time pass carelessly she’d find herself attached to the brunette, physically, almost too many times.
It would either happen after Debbie had a rough day assembling new members for the team or after Lou didn’t have a good day at the club. They would always find comfort in each other after midnight when Lou was about to go to bed but Debbie always stopped her before the australian could even step into her bedroom.
It was 1am, Debbie was sure because she’d had dinner with Lou three hours ago when she came back from the club, and afterwards she texted Tammy good night, assuring her that she was okay and thanking her for the help with the banker guy the other day, “also, fuck you, I ruined one good pair of heels because you thought you were Usain Bolt in the rain.”
She heard Lou turn off the kitchen lights and knew the australian was headed to bed, and she suddenly lost interest in the cooking book she was reading. It was Lou’s and she wasn’t even so sure Lou herself actually ever read that thing ever, but it was something to kill her time.
“Lou? Can I sleep with you?” the whisper filled the silent living room. All the lights were out except for the yellow ray from the creepy skull lamp Lou had gotten as a gift from her brother Rusty, she put it on her coffee table at first not really knowing what to do with it and she would always find Debbie sitting by the corner of her couch, using the light to read in the dark. She liked to sit there because she could always see when Lou walked around the place.
Debbie’s eyes followed her like a flashlight and even after almost fifteen years of knowing that woman the effect the australian had on her was still the same. Lou didn’t change at all. Being in prison for five years, she missed seeing that on the daily, and to her surprise, the first night she spent with Lou felt like home again. She never got used to being without Lou. And Lou didn’t either.
It would all fade to black again when Debbie decided to distance herself from those feelings, from Lou. She couldn’t escape the fear of fucking things up with the most important person in her life, so she would pretend to look away when Lou looked at her with that look, wouldn’t go out with her even just to run some stupid errands when Lou asked her to, every moment did something to her and she couldn’t bear it anymore. She couldn’t bare being Lou’s sidekick, even if she knew she wasn’t just that to her.
“Can I?” she whispered again.
“You- uh-“ Lou looked her up and down, her body covered by the robe she hadn’t known the brunette borrowed from her. She smirked, thinking about how she too would often just grab some of Debbie’s clothes and not even give them back later.
“I know we’ve talked about it. It’s not that. I mean- I just can’t sleep. I’m probably reading this stupid book for the 20th time only because I can never fucking sleep. It’s hard, without…” Debbie’s eyes would start to get watery if she hadn’t known any better, feeling so vulnerable in front of her partner. But she felt grateful for Lou’s silly smile growing wider, and the pang of pity as well. Usually that would piss her off, make her feel like she was nothing, like people were always just trying to be nice to her out of politeness and not because they cared for her, but this was Lou. And she knew the truth whenever it came to Lou.
“Yes, c’mon. Leave the bloody book there.” Lou walked to where the brunette was sitting on the couch and helped her stand up, grabbing the book with her right hand and Debbie’s waist with the other. Debbie looked at her with guilt in her eyes.
“Lou, I…”
“Yeah?” she watched the blonde rub her eyes in a sleepy way before yawning and sticking out a hand to her in the most loving, Lou way possible.
“Nothing. Thank you.” she closed her brown cardigan tighter around her shivering body, taking Lou’s hand and walking upstairs to Lou’s room.
Lou let Debbie make herself at home as the brunette tucked herself in and waited for her on her side of the bed. Lou usually slept in the middle of the bed, but she didn’t mind this, at all. The room was a bit dark and had one big window that shone the night lights from the shore outside. Lou loved hearing the waves break inside her head and how the shadows coming from outside the window made living shadows on her walls, it always helped her fall asleep faster, but tonight she didn’t mind that either. This was one of those nights where Debbie was all she would think of. Touching her and having her scent all over her and the room, felt like she could stay like that forever, falling asleep in the brunette’s arms as she scared Debbie’s nightmares away.
She cuddled closer to her, feeling the Ocean sniff her neck as they held each other tight, and Lou covered both their bodies with the heavy white blankets.
“I think we forgot to turn off the lamp, Lou.” Debbie whispered as she felt the blonde run her fingers across her arms.
“What?” Lou glanced at her, confused, making Debbie flush at how cute her stupid little frown was.
“In the living room.”
“Oh. That’s okay, Debs. Just sleep, alright?” she kissed the crown of Debbie’s head and held her like that, letting Debbie get closer and closer. “And you never know, maybe Tam will wanna barge in in the middle of the night to try and fix your heel for you. She might need the light to see.”
“Lou.” Debbie warned, holding back a chuckle.
“Sorry. It’s true.” Lou laughed, turning her back to Debbie.
“Lou?” Debbie called again, almost too scared to speak up.
“Yeah, Debs?” she answered like a mother angry at her child, making them both laugh.
“I miss this.” Lou’s heart stopped, and she looked at those dark eyes facing her in the dark. She could barely see Debbie, but she knew every inch of that face and that woman even more than herself.
“You miss sleeping with me, Ocean? Well that’s fucking impossible because you’re always in my bed.” they shared a laugh and Debbie rolled her eyes.
“You know what I mean, Lou.”
“I do.” Lou could feel her heart break inside her chest like never before. They both knew what they felt for each other, and how they’d left things between them before Debbie went to jail, and they hadn’t walked so far from that point after she got out. Five years later. They just knew it was still there, all of it. The painful silence, the electric touches, the desperate exchange of looks in a crowded room. The longing.
But they had agreed on staying like this for a while and that was the plan the had to stick with no matter what. No matter how much they wanted to go home together after a party with the team and just jump at each other with kisses and teeth, no matter how bad they were in love with each other in a way that nothing else could ever live rent free in their minds like each other.
“I miss… sleeping with you.” Lou smirked, covering her face with her arm.
“We really had it all didn’t we?” the australian whispered.
“We still can.” Debbie said, almost like a plead.
Lou shook her head, lying with her back facing the ceiling and her elbows supporting her weight.
“We couldn’t figure it out back then, Debs. What makes you think we could now?” Debbie cupped her face, bringing it impossibly close to hers.
“We were young, Lou. And stupid.”
“Yeah, well-“ the blonde scoffed, thinking about a 19 year old Debbie Ocean kissing her for the first time. “We still are. Stupid, at least.”
“I wanna be stupid together.” her voice came out broken, her hands finding Lou’s above her brown locks. Lou smiled.
“You do?”
“Yeah. I really fucking do. I can’t be just friends. I wanna kiss you all the time and every fucking day and I wanna be able to tell people that I’m yours and you’re min-“
Lou’s lips met hers with a calm pace, both in a way of saying “please shut the fuck up” and “I love you more than you’ll ever know.”
“I wanna be stupid together, too.” Lou whispered, kissing her again, and again, and again, and again, until they were both finally deep asleep.

Ship: Lou Miller x Debbie Ocean
Word Count: 390+
Warnings: None
Lou was immersed in practicing her designs and shading when a woman knocked on the window of her shop. She hadn’t seen her before and wondered what she wanted. Lou turned her gun off, took her gloves off, stood up and walked to the door.
“Hey, can I help you with anything?” Lou politely smiled at the woman. Now was the first time she got to see her properly. The woman wore a tight black sweater with loose beige slacks, looking dressed up compared to Lou’s old graphic t-shirt and jeans. “I was just coming by to let you know I’m moving in the next door, I’ve recently opened a cake shop with my friend Tammy,” the woman smiled.
“Oh that’s neat, does this mean I get free cupcakes?” Lou smirked playfully, making the brunette blush. “If you like,” she shyly replies. “Oh, I’m Debbie by the way,” she outstretched her hand ready to shake her hand. “Lou, nice to meet you,” Lou accepts her hand. Debbie’s hand was soft compared to Lou’s course hand and was significantly larger than hers. “If you ever want a tat you know where to come,” Lou joked before bidding a goodbye and sitting back down.
Lou saw in her peripheral Debbie and her friend, she was guessing Tammy, going back and forth with boxes. She couldn’t concentrate and so thought it would be helpful to give them a hand. “Want some help?” Lou appeared out of nowhere whilst Debbie was lifiting boxes. “Yes please,” she groaned, handing the box to Lou. Debbie noticed the way her muscles were exaggerated when lifting the boxes. She should’ve asked for help sooner.
As Lou piled the last box into the store and piled them neatly, Tammy leaned into Debbie, “new love interest?” “Shut it you,” she hissed, ignoring her. “That’s all the boxes Debs,” Lou dabbed some sweat off her forehead using her shirt, showing her toned stomach. Oh come on. Tammy smirked knowing this was making Debbie act up. The use of the nickname sent her spiralling further. “Thank you so much Lou, I’ll drop by later with a few cakes as a thank you,” Debbie traced her hand down Lou’s bare arm.
Lou smiled and returned back to her studio. “You whore,” Tammy laughed as she went inside. “And she’s an Australian,” Debbie giggled and followed Tammy inside.
