I love this absolutely rough-n-tumble herbo of a giant woman SO DANG MUCH.

Why?

Because when I came into G/t I genuinely felt an emptiness for the kind of thing that my heart craved. I wanted to find a genuinely Giant woman who was big and strong, loud and proud, a big dork and the absolutely purest of sweethearts. I dumped everything that brought me joy in life—both platonically and romantically—into a character and just made her so self-indulgently.

Freyja is powerful, but gentle; immense, but kind; passionate, but patient. She truly is the kinda giant woman that I daydream about all the time because she just is all of my favorite parts of G/t and more.

She was built for surveillance and intelligence and is a master hacker. Also just a big sweetheart. She also has a smaller secondary shell she can transfer her “AI” to that provides extra stealth and can allow her to get into hard to reach places, hence the tiny Terra form in the last two images. it isn’t a secret that ellie cares a lot about her loved ones. she knows what it’s like to lose someone important for her and she will do anything to keep everyone she cares about by her side.

of course, with you being her girlfriend, you are one of the most important people for her (if not the most important) and that means that she will protect you in every possible way, even if she has to risk her own life for you—she will do it.

being close to ellie means her having your back always.

no matter what circumstances surround you both, no matter the place, no matter the time, she will always protect you. it’s like she’s your guardian angel; she’ll always watch over you even when you don’t know it.

even though she knows how strong you are on your own (and she loves it), she still wants to be there for you. it’s like an instinct.

ellie being protective of you happens in all kinds of scenarios. from the smallest thing like taking care of you when you're sick to something more serious like going on patrol outside of jackson.

obviously there will be situations where she cannot physically protect you, like when you go on patrol without her. when that happens, you better be prepared to be taken care of when you return back home after any potentially risky mission. she will treat your wounds and even carry you to bed in her arms. she knows she wasn’t able to protect you out there, so the least she can do is taking care of you when you're back, right?

that being said, whenever you both go on patrol together, she loves to see you kicking some ass— she’ll do it with you. best duo ever. but be careful pls or else you’ll give her a heart attack.

she holds you in her sleep. it’s a way of making sure you won’t go away. it’s a way of knowing she’ll never have to face her biggest fear. something that assures her that she’ll never be alone, that you will be with her the same way she will always be with you.

whether it’s holding your hand, putting her arm around your waist, or letting you sleep with your head resting on her chest (or even the other way around, letting her listen to your heartbeat, something that relaxes her a lot and helps her sleep). she appreciates any kind of physical contact with you when sleeping.

she’s also not shy to show others how protective she is of you. it’s not in a possessive don’t-look-at-my-gf way (bc she’s not like that), it’s more a way of letting others know that if they mess with you, they mess with her.

do i even have to mention that she’d literally kill for you?

if you were to be in real danger because of someone…she wouldn’t even have to blink twice. they definetely messed with the wrong person.

she’s also really smart when it comes to reading your emotions! especially if you’ve been together for a long time. she knows perfectly what your every look and gesture means, and she will help you get out of any uncomfortable situation when you need it. scary and smart gf privilege!!

she also dreams of giving you a peaceful life. working towards a peaceful, soothing and calm life where both of you enjoy every day without any worries is a way of protecting your future. and she wants to be in it.
