She could spend this night on anything else, yet she never tired of his skin against hers, of his passionate kisses, of his sighs and his groans when their bodies united together, of what she felt when he was inside her, their hearts beating rhythmically in the throes of their cursed passion.

The Philter of Love!
With this, and a few other cards, I like to add the effect on the back of the card, so players who aren't aware of what being charmed does, can easily see what it means.
As always, the cards are created to be the same size as trading cards. All you need to do is simply print and cut them out to have easy handouts within your game.

- Thou gavest him [a love philter], I presume. - No. I thought I could do it barehanded. - Art thou a witch or a woman? Prepare a love philter at once.

Last month year at the wiki — 2023
As we all head into our second full week of 2024 (already!), we at Encyclopedia Exandria are taking the time to look back at what we accomplished in 2023 in this special edition of Last Month At The Wiki.
Encyclopedia Exandria reached its first anniversary in June 2023. We the editors are still proud of our decision to become an independent wiki, and we continue to work hard on our coverage of all things happening at Critical Role Productions. Here's a look at some of the work last year:
We moved episode transcripts into their own special namespace in February. Check out the post about the change and what this meant for the wiki. We also started creating transcripts in languages other than English.
Cuisine for Exandria is a wonderful new article from 2023! We're looking toward creating more broad topic articles like that one in the future.
In April, we completed a first pass rewriting text plagiarized from episodes. This was an issue inherited when we split into our own wiki in 2022 that affected especially late Campaign 1 and early Campaign 2 articles. We've been working on it ever since and continue to work toward a plagiarism-free wiki.
We've done a lot of work on Campaign 1 items! Some notable additions and overhauls include: Horn of Fog, Bloodseeker, Mantle of the Tempest, Circlet of Wisdom, Titanstone Knuckles, and Philter of Love.
Articles for Geek & Sundry era Critical Role episodes were updated to include current thumbnails, tabbed in the infobox behind the originals. It's been wonderful to cross that longstanding item off the to do list. Check out examples at Vorugal (episode) and The Chapter Closes.
Midst and Candela Obscura joined the channel in 2023. We're pleased to be covering both shows as well, but it's hard to link to all of it here. You can navigate through our Midst and Candela Obscura topics off the main articles and using the navboxes at the bottom.
All character articles now have verified "Appearances and mentions" sections! Before we were an independent wiki, character articles had these sections collated using a script from a list that used to live in the infoboxes and from "Featured characters" sections on episode articles. These lists were slowly checked manually to ensure that they they were properly formatted, organized, and correct. That work is finally completed.
With the Frozen Sick topic completed this year, we now have complete coverage for all adventures in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount!
Over time, we changed the way we formatted our 4-Sided Dive articles. Earlier articles were finally brought into line with the newer formatting this year, delivering information to you in a more consistent manner. Such quality of life maintenance for readers often goes unnoticed but is critical to ease of use.
Some other new articles that we're real proud of this year? Battle of the Red Center, Quest for Vestiges, Angels of Iron conspiracy, Currency, Fjord's crew, and Comics.
This is not nearly all of the work we've done. It's only a small slice of the work we accomplished and are proud of in 2023. If you've got a favorite update to the wiki not mentioned here—a new article, an overhaul, a quality of life change, or a backend update—let us know!
If you want to contribute to the wiki in 2024, we welcome you! Our wiki is open to editing by all readers, and our coverage is maintained and improved by our community. Everything from plot summary additions to spelling and grammar corrections are an immense help. If you need any help, feel free to check in with us on article talk pages and at the wiki's Discord.
We hope to continue to maintain this wiki throughout this year.

I did it! I wrote a sequel for my Gortash\F!Tav fic! Now part of a wee series! Already working on the next part!
Take a gander if that’s you poison 💕
Excerpt- Speak of the Devil
It’s said that distance makes the heart grow fonder. Gortash found it brought his to rage.
“I’m going to give you a moment to reconsider what you just said.” Each repeated rap of his claws upon the desk was as heavy as a death knell. “So, I’d choose your next words very, very wisely.”
The two lieutenants shuffled in place and looked to one another for an answer — or a miracle.
Can find here:
That one isn’t spicy at all so if you’re looking for spice I would check out the first part 💕
Excerpt - Flirting with Tyranny
The sound from her throat at his touch came from the Hells itself. A succubus would wilt at it, fall to their knees, and implore mercy. Gortash gripped her tight, squeezing her supple skin, imprinting it to memory.
"The day will come where I will take you," he whispered against her lips, close enough to touch. "But that day isn't—"
She kissed him, a hard, desperate thing, tasting of wine, roses, and blood. Her tongue danced with his, wanting, eager and dizzying.
To swallow even a drop of a philter of love, was to swallow fire. To wallow within the very Hells and feel its lick against your skin, douse it, then create the flame anew. A never-ending cycle of need and want, of desire and lust, only to have it jerked away when close, leaving the drinker yearning. Demanding more.
Want more? Find it here!!
Enjoy! 💕

Hey there! If you feel like writing for Lief Amell, maybe "6. Someone describing a time your OC helped them" from the codex prompts?
thank you for the prompt!! I love these codex ones :3 here's something set nebulously post-DA2, pre-DAI for @dadrunkwriting
wc: 286
-
A simple, leather-bound journal, timeworn and fallen open on the final entry, where the writing is smeared with blood. It is dated in Rivain, 9:40 Dragon, a week after the annulment of the Dairsmuid Circle.
It was…an odd thing. We have been looked at with little but scorn since the Lord Seeker turned us from the Chantry. I did not expect grace in this man’s touch, particularly not as I could feel the magic flowing through his veins. But he helped me up with gentle hands. Propped me ‘gainst a tree when his fellows would have surely pressed my face into the mud. Even offered me a philter of lyrium, which I admit to taking, with no small amount of shame. At death’s door and I could not turn from its sweet, sickly song. There was no way he did not see the emblem blazing on my dented armor. No chance he missed the sunburst burned into my sword hilt. Yet he bade the elf with him keep guard, and helped me drink from his own canteen. And he wanted to stay. That was the oddest of all—even as it became apparent that lingering was a threat to their safety, he sat with me. Recited the chant and prayed to Andraste on my behalf, when I could not form the words in my throat. He apologized when they had to go. When was the last time even one of my own brethren offered me such kindness? And now, as the last of the strength borrowed of lyrium leaves me, I offer only one hope to the Maker: in this life or the next, let that mage find an ounce of the peace he offered me.

But they cannot be bought, oh no. There is a reason many call me and my small business a failure, as I give my wares away for free. One potion to one person. The only catch is, I decide what potion you get; what potion your heart truly needs.

I looked through all of the Valentine's Day cards from the recent Toby's newsletter. Then I made kompot from the wrinkled fruits that Sans left and filtered it. I believe this is the love-philter now. So I'll drink it.
Cheers.
If I won't see another Valentine's card from Sans after that in my inbox, then that world is doomed. :D

major k.p. hob has never been good at duplicity. he prefers the honesty of combat.
but after dealing with the Apollo situation, he cannot stand before the Lady Sylmenar of the Seelie and pretend to be honest in his courtship.
to be false in matters of courts and diplomacy is one thing, to be false in love quite another. and now he knows how love truly feels, he could never feign it well enough.
so he reaches into his satchel as he walks to meet the Lady, and pulls out a pink potion. confirmed with the goblin identify spell to be a philter of love…

Snippet - Mal de Mer - Happiness in Exile
Tumblr media
Mel finds her own way - and her own style.
Mal de Mer on AO3
Snippet:
By her twenty-first year, Ambessa, despairing of her daughter's idealism, had cast her out. She was not, Mel knew, an unfit heir. She was merely unfit, period.
The banishment—Mel's final lesson—had been the cruelest cut of all. Yet, in the aftermath, Mel learnt that cruelty was not, by definition, the absence of love. The opposite: cruelty was the most extreme form of survival. It was a mother, unable to express the full depth of her heart, reduced to the worst of her instincts.
That cruelty—its extremity—was Ambessa's way of protecting Mel, from their world and from herself. The exile, the rupture of their bond: they were sacrifices. Sometimes, Mel thinks of how reptiles will sever their own tails, forfeiting a piece of their selves to escape a larger threat. It's a hard and terrible choice. But a necessity if the whole is to survive.
And survive, Mel did.
In exile, she'd found her own worth. She'd found her self. The self that she'd polished to a sheen, slowly and painfully, from the splinters of a broken psyche. The self built, brick by brick, out of a lifetime's loneliness and despair.
She'd never be a force of nature like Ambessa. So, she'd become something else.
A luminary.
In Piltover, she'd undergone a breakthrough into breathtaking beauty.  She'd left off her old wardrobe: the gowns with their plain, high collars and the muted palettes. She'd learned how to gild herself like a lily in an elysian garden: dresses in dozens of sun-kissed hues, cut tantalizing low to trace the shadow of her decolletage, or cut daringly high to showcase the smoothness of her thighs. Jewels that were a symphony in a spectrum: emerald, amethyst, citrine. And gold, lots and lots of gold: until she'd glittered bright enough to outrival the sun.
As a girl, she'd worn her hair in its natural curl. Simple, stark, unfashionable. Now, she'd let it grow, and grow, and grow. Glossy locs coiled in gold, and styled into a coronet at the crown of her head: a diadem fit for a queen. As for her face: she'd learnt her best features, the way an artist learns the play of light. With philters of plum lip-stain, phials of indigo kohl, and pots of golden dust, she'd highlighted what nature had given, and exaggerated what it had not.
Until the girl was gone, and a goddess remained.
It was a transformation as gradual as the phases of the moon. As shocking as a solar eclipse.
And when, finally, she'd seen herself in the mirror, she'd felt the strangest sensation. Like the face staring back was a reflection, not of the woman she'd failed to be, but of the woman she'd been all along.
Mel, at last, had seen herself.
Piltover had seen her too. And, once they'd looked, they'd never stopped.
She'd set foot into the elite circles as a mere footnote in the Medarda family-tree. Yet her footfall had stirred a stampede. Men and women vying for her attention; artists clamoring for her likeness; suitors offering themselves on a silver platter.
They didn't know where she'd come from. Only that she was here.
And, in her, they'd seen a rarity worth keeping.
Her beauty had been the key. Her cleverness, the lock. Together, they'd opened doors for her all the way to the Council chambers. In the space of a decade, she'd flourished from a foreign enigma into the Patroness of Progress. Wherever she stepped, she shone. Wherever she looked, they fell in line.
She was the impetus behind Piltover's transformation into a technological juggernaut. She'd bankrolled Jayce Talis, the boy who'd become the Man of Tomorrow. She'd spearheaded the Council's most forward-thinking social reforms, been the architect behind its boldest public works, and the guiding light for its brightest scholastic minds.
Her golden fingerprints were all over the City of Progress. She'd made it, the world swooned, a paradise. Her brand—the Medarda brand—was synonymous with a better tomorrow.
And she'd done it without spilling a drop of blood.
Her mother, Mel thinks, would detest the irony. Her daughter's ideals, once a folly, had given her the impetus to imagine a world where her family's sins were not a burden to carry, but a gift to give.
A brighter world.

Jun 7: The Hag Prue’s Room
The central feature of this submerged room is a 10’ wide circular pit full of roiling, foul-smelling sludge. The sludge pit acts as quicksand, and any creature fully submerged in it takes poison damage. If a creature speaks Prue’s full name (Imprudence) while adjacent to the pit, the sludge stills and takes on a mirror sheen. It can be used to look through her various scrying eyes.
Prue’s bed is modest by comparison, little more than a reed mat. The shelves are crammed with soggy, rotten food. A creature who searches them finds a philter of love but also awakens two living rays of sickness that dwell amidst the rot.
Against the northern wall (marked by an asterisk) is a dollhouse model of the upper three floors of the hags’ house, complete with tiny replicas of furnishings and dolls that look like any visiting creatures. Moving an object (including a doll) from one room to another teleports that item or creature to the new room. If a new object is inserted into the dollhouse, it teleports to the appropriate room and a replica appears in the dollhouse; if an object (including a doll) is removed from the dollhouse, that item or creature is teleported to Prue’s room. The dollhouse loses its magic if removed from this room.

Last month at the wiki — January 2023
We've made it through the long, dark first month of the year!
Encyclopedia Exandria is always changing with updates, additions, expansions, and edits. The first Wednesday of every month, we highlight significant work done in the previous month by our editing community.
To start our first look at 2023, here's a selection of ten articles created in January. You can find more of our newest articles at the 50 newest pages report!
Frozen Sick, adventure set in Aeor from Explorer's Guide To Wildemount—many other new articles this month not listed here are connected to this topic!
Soul anchor, object that can bind a creature to a specific plane
Factorum Malleus, Aeorian project intended to kill gods
Jamil A'alithiya, High Curator of the Cobalt Soul's Temple of the Mentor in Ank'Harel
Brenatto's Better Self, apothecary in Nicodranas owned by Yeza and Veth Brenatto
Currency, money in Exandria
Philter of love, potion that causes the drinker to be charmed by and potentially believe themselves in love with someone
Nima, fight organizer for the Brawler's League in Westruun
Evershifting Grasses, plains in the Feywild near the Moonbrush and the Tangled Peaks
Violet, Ashton's associate and contact in Yios
Our work is never limited to just creating new articles—we also improve many existing ones. Broom of Flying (previously: Death from Above) finally received a more robust history section, including finally including Taryon's own broom.
Nott's mask received a quick clean-up and small expansion ahead of The Mighty Nein Origins: Nott the Brave, and Vestiges of Divergence got a quick plagiarism excision ahead of The Legend of Vox Machina. Similarly, Uthodurn got also a bit of a plagiarism clean-up and some filling-in-the-blanks. (Efforts to clean-up plagiarism across the wiki is still ongoing. It is slow work, but it is trucking along.)
With that, this has been our first update on 2023! We hope to continue to have all sorts of fun updates for you and our wiki this year.
