Even though Mac has no scientific background, I still can't stop myself from imagining her in conversation with some of your OCs, like complaining about Headmaster with Mai or hearing all of Emily's divorce tea. Maybe they meet because Mac inadvertendly tripped the radiation detector where Mai works and sent everything into high alert.

YES I feel like she and Mai would get along well!!!! (I promise I'll make a more fleshed out coherent profile for Mai eventually I'm just super busy). And the radiation thing is totally possible especially since Mai is a chemical engineer and facilities that work with radioactive materials often have detectors at the entrances and exits to ensure you don't track radioactive particles out of the facility. You also have to wear a personal detector in the facility so I can just imagine Mai holding her detector up to Mac, it going off, and then going silent when she pulls it back, and immediately suspecting her of stealing radioactive material from one of the labs (obviously she did not but it takes Mai a while to figure this out since humans aren't usually radioactive).

Unfortunately, Emily finds out Mac is radioactive and doesn't let her within six feet of Alexandria because she's a baby and she doesn't need radiation to stunt her growth. She is willing to give her all the tea from a distance though.

here are some au thoughts of the day!

ryleigh and rutger

rutger has been spending a massive amount of time in the hospital with ryleigh. not many people know yet, but he did have to tell brandon and jacob who both immediately gave him some grace

ryleigh is proud because he got an A for the second half of the season! she smothers him with kisses

her leg surgery is tomorrow so everyone is preparing for that

jack is there as well and complaining about the couples PDA any chance he gets

there's a new get well package or delivery for her everyday

whether it be from a friend or one of her brothers many teammates past and present

mackenzie and tyler

kenz is looking forward to umich coming to osu in two weeks and seeing ty

they haven't seen each other since december and they're missing each other

tyler is still enamored by mackenzies natty performance and couldn't be prouder of her

her relationship is now super public so she is getting some hate from umich and osu fans about dating someone who goes to michigan

the osu series is also the first time she'll be meeting tylers parents and alyssa, which she hasn't had the chance to do yet

shes scared

jj and adam

jj came to the devils game and spent the weekend with adam, and the hughes family who also drove down from michigan

she will also be meeting the team in st louis to go to the game with her parents and family

kevin is already texting her things he's going to chirp at adam during the game she rolls her eyes everytime

adam has a surprise trip planned for all star break and bye week for them and JJ has no idea

he's been planning with luca who is getting maggie to get jj to come to the Columbus series so that she can 'surprise' him but really its so he can surprise her with this trip

she's also started light training again after getting clearance from her doctor super sad that sam mewis is retiring she was her favorite athlete

munchkin and gavin

munchkin is basically inseparable from her boy

she knows that cbj is talking to him consistently and she knows he's going to sign when the season ends

and shes proud! so so proud of all he's done this season

but she doesn't want him to leave umich or her

shes making good progress through her recovery and the doctors are hoping to get her back onto skates by june

shes also struggling with not being on the ice or being able to play

so shes dealing with a lot emotionally, and with no hockey as an outlet shes bottling it all up

Facts at this point:

Ryan is coming back as Robert and Mackenzie is the new Adam (straight best friend who's directly related to Moira) or (the hugest or) Mackenzie isn't as straight as he thinks. There's not a third way around what "Emmerdale" has currently been doing where Aaron is considered. I would prefer the prior as the latter would just be an unoriginal retelling.

“The Rule Book” follows Nora Mackenzie, a sports agent whose first client is famous NFL tight end Derek Pender. He also happens to be her ex-boyfriend and he’s still holding a grudge. He’s determined to make her life difficult, but when a wild night in Vegas leads to an accidental marriage, they have to rekindle their relationship to save their careers.

Reading this book was like getting a warm hug and its all because I really adored the characters. Nora is my favorite of Sarah’s female main characters because she is so inspiring, unapologetically herself, and hardworking. Adams gives her so much personality and I found myself relating to her organization skills (specifically color-coding), can-do attitude, and love of sweet treats. I also saw a lot of myself in Derek. Though I do not have a shared experience with a learning disability diagnosis, I’ve felt inadequate before and I resonated with his internal struggle. Both Nora and Derek really moved me and I now consider them my comfort characters.

Nora and Derek’s second chance romance had me feeling so giddy! Adams does a great job establishing what their relationship was like in college and why it eventually fell apart. She executes the “right person, wrong time” narrative so well and weaves in some of my other favorite tropes like accidental marriage/marriage of convenience, only one bed, and “that’s my wife” flawlessly without overwhelming the reader. The inclusion of such tropes push Nora and Derek to face their lingering feelings for each other and act on them to give their relationship another shot. I couldn’t get enough of the mutual pining, the tension, and the way they continuously uplift each other. Thank you Sarah for this masterpiece! I’m so obsessed with this book that it hurts.

I love that ficlet with Mac and Teresa more than life itself. The image of the Detroit medical community at large shaking Mac by her jacket lapels going "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" is amazing. As is the image of Teresa's reactions as she slowly learns more about Mac's current life.

Aw thank you!! 💜 I was worried about nailing Mac's character which is why she was in the backseat. Also, she would present in a terrifying way. Evidence of brain trauma yet full mental and physiological capacity, blood tests keep coming back with dangerous levels of radiation yet she's perfectly fine, and a resting temperature of 115°F which no living human should be able to function at. Makes figuring out when she's sick kinda hard.

I can just image Teresa overhearing Mac talking about her life and condition like
