Notion Paracosm Template

My first notion template, this is where I have kind of been for the past 2 months on and off. I've been really on a kick to try and ACTUALLY organize my paracosm stuff, especially my fun facts (bc OH BOI!).

Like any notion template, its SUPER customizable you can add and take away blocks, if you feel like it.

This template is a big chonky boi, so it MIGHT take a while to load (at least it did for me, oof)

To notice yourself slipping. To be existing, and to watch the world around you move forwards while you move backwards. You see your friends moving on with their lives, while you seem stuck. Failing. You finally pick yourself back up, only for someone to knock you back down.

To return to old habits. You can't not return to them, because without them, you'd drop. The comfort of those habits, the habits that keep your mind whole, but send you ages away from those around you. You fail to connect with people. So you lean harder into your habits. Pulling away from people, because people are what make it worse. But somehow it's worse alone.

Yet you fall into old habits. You've regressed.

You finally think you're better. You've had time, and good experiences. But one thing. One thing will knock you back. It could be a death, an accident, a screw up, a stub of the toe, a drop of a phone. It's painful.

Yet you have to keep living, because you know it would be more painful to those you'd leave. So you don't even consider it. It's not allowed.

But you just want to be free.

Free of the screw ups, of the accidents, of the failures, of the responsibilities, of the pain.

So you fall into old habits.

what continues to blow my mind is that my preferred universe is one where i don’t even exist

I want to see characters who are super social and happy-go-lucky but also secretive and aloof—and not in the way where one of the two personality types is a charade or something, but to where the character is just genuinely both.

I have a character like this in my current daydream(I'm a maladaptive daydreaming loser 😎) and have found that it's like, really interesting to mess around with. Like, they're the one who brings the group together and convinces everyone else to open up but doesn't say shit about their own life. And like, they meet up with someone whom they dislike and suddenly this bright chipper person is cold as hell.

And imagine how this can be used as a plot device for writing—you get your social character who can help everyone else get along but also get a character who lies about themself and their life to add conflict and shit.

Idk but I think its pretty cool

Paracosm Banner Template

I've heard that alot peeps liked the way I make banners for my paracosms, so I made a little template for everyone to use:

I use Weheartit and Pinterest to look for images, and I use this brush (while not shown in the template itself), to add sparkles

You can add brushes into Photopea by dragging and dropping them into the interface, works the same with fonts as well...

Anyways, I hope this helps, I'm also working on a new paracosm so look forward to that
