Note
Jesus wasn't Palestinian you dumb heretic. Palestine didn't exist yet. The Palestinian people didn't exist yet. Read the fucking bible. Dumbass
(what anon's responding to)
This is going to sound sarcastic but i mean it genuinely: i love getting called a heretic by randos online. helps me know i'm doing some things right!
In honor of Jesus the Palestinian Jew, here's an excerpt from a sermon (which you can read / listen to in full over here) I wrote back in June on how Jesus's direct identification with those the world calls "least" in Matthew 25 empowers (and challenges) us to envision him as literally one with all who are denigrated, disenfranchised, executed by Empire — as Palestinians are today.
...In proclaiming himself not only kin with the world’s outcasts, but literally one with each and every one of them, Jesus empowers us to imagine him in ever newer, ever more expansive ways. He empowered Black theologian James Cone to declare that Christ is Black, and that every time a Black person is lynched, Christ is re-crucified with them. He empowered disability theologian Nancy Eiesland to declare that God is disabled – to envision the throne of God as a wheelchair, and to point out how the wounds with which Christ rose would have impaired his movement. He empowered gay artist Maxwell Lawton to paint Christ with AIDS lesions, and photographer Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin to depict Christ’s resurrection wounds as transgender top surgery scars. Though some have decried all these images of Christ as blasphemous, it was Jesus himself who told us that he is one with those whom the world denies food, safety, medical care, freedom, and love...
btw if anyone has other examples of theologians declaring Christ a member of a marginalized group it's my fave thing so please add on. Another great one is S. Yesu Suresh' declaration that Christ is Dalit (the "untouchable" class in India).

The Winters Family
Right, so. I do intend to make proper versions of these similar to what I did with Lucy here, but I thought it would be good to just put these out there so you all can have a general idea of what her family looks like. They aren't featured a ton in Love Me Where I'm Most Ruined, but will have much bigger roles in The Hunger Games!AU and Modern!AU I've got planned.
Genevieve Winters
Lucy's mother. A Romani woman originally from Wales. Once spunky and wild, Genny has had her spirit abused and broken by her husband over the years, but loves her children fiercely.
Faceclaim: Olivia Cooke
Tumblr media
Victor Winters
Lucy's father. An Englishman originally from Yorkshire. Extremely devout, traditional, and particularly cruel towards women.
Faceclaim: Nikolaj Coster Waldau
Tumblr media
Theodore "Teddy" Winters
Yes I am aware of the irony of making Tom Glynn Carney the son of Olivia Cooke but shush okay it was good casting for a reason. Lucy's younger brother, closest to her in age. Mischievous, fun loving, actual bisexual disaster, lives to cause his father grey hairs and lovingly torment his big sister. Besties with Tommy once he and Lucy start dating.
Faceclaim: Tom Glynn Carney
Tumblr media
This picture is so modern!Teddy I could cry 🥹.
Elliot Winters
Lucy's second younger brother. An asshole. Follows closely in his father's footsteps. The one Lucy gets along with the least, and the most likely to bully her when they were kids.
Faceclaim: Domhall Gleeson
Tumblr media
Patrick "Ricky" Winters
Lucy's third younger brother. Sensitive, a music lover, and people pleaser. Like Elliot, he often does what his father says and emulates his behavior, but this is more out of a desire to please him in order to avoid further abuse than it is genuine maliciousness like Elliot.
Faceclaim: Ross Lynch
Tumblr media
William "Wills" Winters
Lucy's youngest brother. The baby of the family, who everyone adores. Very kind, quite sassy and playful when gets older. Smol. Must be protected.
Faceclaim: Thomas Brodie Sangster
Tumblr media
Miriam "Miri" Lovell
Lucy's aunt and Genevieve's older sister. Tough, spunky, and resourceful.
Faceclaim: Madeline Brewer
Tumblr media
Mercy Lovell
Lucy's cousin. A Romani woman who lives with her mother, Miri and kin in the mountains. Chaotic. Tough as nails. Helped teach Lucy to ride horses bareback, shoot, and fight when she would visit them in the summers when they were kids.
Faceclaim: Samantha Cormier
Tumblr media
Matthew Sutton
Lucy's former fiancé and rapist. Became friends with her father while they were in the war together. Possessive, cruel, and petulant.
Faceclaim: Alexander Skarsgard
Tumblr media

Tag game time! Thanks to @your-void-senpai for noticing me.
current time: 1:03 pm (posted at 9:02 PM, tumblr, fix your app plx)
current activity: post-lunch-lumploafing after having run errands this morning, tepidly woring on writing.
currently thinking about: how I’m going to manage the timing/logistics of the mini birthday extravaganza I’m planning for my spouse this week + 6 hours of OT + various appointments
current favorite song: I’ve been repeating “Disco! In the Panic Room” by Bug Hunter a lot.
currently reading: embarrassingly, mostly my own WIPs to try and get shit finished.
currently watching: Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Haikyuu.
current favorite character: I just realized that my ride or die, Adam Parrish, and my new hotness, Nanami Kento, share the same 7/3 birthday. They are both fed-up kings. Kinda makes me want to write a crossover that only two people besides myself might be into.
current wips: …marge simpson hiding her eyes in shame dot gif.
Here we go. Back-burnered ideas I’ve managed not to start are, fortunately, not included here:
Relative Worth - the Critical Role S2 Widomauk fic which has been on a loading screen for a depressing amount of time
I Made You a Mixtape - the TRC Pynch fic that I’m tearing my hair out over because I keep thinking “Ronan Lynch would not listen to that. You are a middle aged hipster, you cannot make a mixtape on his behalf.” I’m gonna power through, I swear.
Waking the Dead - JJK Hidden Inventory arc missing scenes fic which is probably going to be completely jossed by the anime, so I better write quick
My Hero [working title only] - Rhack AU fix it fic wherein I make Rhys seem a lot cooler than he is and Jack is totally smitten and despondent when Rhys goes missing.
Never, Never - A canon divergence Pynch fic in which Kavinsky kidnaps Adam instead of Matthew.
Sincerity - A Gangsey polycule fic in which Gansey is having a crisis about whether Adam actually loves him or if he’s just part of the package deal.
Non Noncere / Kith and Kin - a post Mister Impossible AU in which  Adam fixed everything and now he and Ronan need to figure out where they go from here, while Declan figures out how to continue to keep his family safe in a world where all the magic is now out in the open.
Magnetic [working title only as there is already an excellent TRC / Pynch epic of that title out there] - A fic I started writing after Mister Impossible, before Greywaren came out, where Adam, Gansey, Blue, and Henry try to fix everything.
Miseducation - Pynch PoalboP (Porn only a little bit of Plot) wherein Ronan Lynch decides to have fun with Adam’s teacher / older man kink.
Terms and Conditions - Pynch AU in which Gansey has discovered that the best way to keep Ronan from self destructing is for him to be dommed, but Gansey is only willing to do it platonically / hands off (sorry Ronsey shippers, there’s plenty in the polycule fic?)  Adam was kicked out of Harvard due to a false cheating accusation, and now runs a completely illegal “smart device” management business with an exorbitant termination fee which he uses to blackmail the ultrawealthy.
Mere Coincidence - A TRC Good Omens Pynch AU in which Ronan is the angel, Adam is the devil, and Gansey is the antichrist
After - TRC Pynch AU where everything is the same except Adam is the ghost and Noah is alive.
…I may have a problem.
Tagging @barrywhelk, @avalonjoan, @heavensenthale, @flightspath, if ya wanna, and anyone else who might wanna do it

John Cleese and Eric Idle are sparring a bit on X. Eric seems disgruntled at Holly Gilliam who manages the Python biz now. The rest of the crew are good with her. Eric’s daughter Lily posted that she’s proud of her Dad for speaking out against bullies. Cleese has reported that he and Idle always hated each other.
*****
Everything comes back around. Abe Lincoln talked of how Stephen Douglas was, “warping the public mind.” That is the perfect way to describe Scary Clown 45.** Come to think of it, it feels a bit like 1865 what with all the hate being pushed in this country. With elections in like 80 countries this year, there could be big changes.

Ozzy is threatening legal action against Ye for sampling ‘Iron Man’. Permission was refused since Ozzy said, “I want no association with this man. He was refused permission because he is an anti- semit and has caused untold heartache to many.” ** Ye also used a sample from Donna Summer’s I feel love. He didn’t have permission for this either. These men and their egos. Yikes!!

The RNC may be run by Michael Watley and Lara Trump. ** Political candidate Valentina Gomez took a flamethrower to books she didn’t like. ** Trump was booed at sneakercon as he was pushing his golden shoes. He wasn’t used to a crowd that does not adore him. He should get out of his comfort zone more often. ** We’re here to overthrow democracy.-Jack Posoblec, a speaker at CPAC.** Trump tried to negotiate one of his penalties in court.

They are just blowing the whole thing up, aren’t they?? I know the people in charge at NBC don’t give a flying fuck about elderly people but I still hear the elderly complain about not being able to see Days on NBC anymore.
*****
For the second time, a memorial to the Pulse nightclub victims was defaced. A 19 year old did burnouts on the LGBTQ Pride crosswalk. Of course, the truck had a big American flag on it. Why is it this particular type of person feels the need to prove they are Americans all the time? A 22 year old genius did the same thing at an earlier date.
*****
NY Dem Tom Suozzi won the house seat to replace George Santos.

Donald Glover has said that the script for the Community movie is finished.

The Chiefs won the Superbowl. Usher was the halftime show and that stage sure was bouncing. A 30 second ad went for $7mil. The Super Bowl went into overtime for only the second time in history. The parade to celebrate was interrupted with a shooting and a fan was killed. ** Are men really breaking a lot of tv’s because of sports?
*****
Chris Coons tells us that the EU has approved a support package for Ukraine and wonders what the Hell we are doing in the U.S. Europe has already spent more on Ukraine than us. They are very concerned about Trump and his calling out NATO and discarding the hard worked for bill for aid.
*****
The Oglala Sioux tribe has banned SD Gov. Christi Noem from their reservation. She told the South Dakota state legislature that she wants to send more state resources to Texas. ** Calling the U.S. southern border in Texas an invasion by illegal immigrants and criminal groups to justify sending South Dakota’s National Guard troops there is a red herring that the Oglala Sioux tribe doesn’t support . They don’t need to be put in cages, separated from their children like during the Trump administration or be cut up by razor wire furnished by, of all places, South Dakota.”- Frank Star

Abortion providers filed a lawsuit in 2019 against the law that prohibits Medicaid from being used to pay for abortions. Alejandra Caraballo..(Musk’s child Vivian Wilson filed for a name change to reflect her gender identity).... twitter twitter twitter and so on. Fuck your need to put your personal brand on everything.- Stephen King.....The NY article went on that X may be violating U.S. sanctions because the company accepted payments from individuals or organization that are forbidden from engaging in business with U.S. companies like state-run media organizations and terrorists from Russia and Iran. ** Leaders of Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels have subscriptions with blue check marks.

My best dressed were: Taylor Swift (winner! ) , Chrissy Tiegand, Janelle Monae, Coco Jones, Gina Alice Redlinger, Romy Madley Croft, Caroline Polachek, Vic Lentaigne and Dawn Richard was a tree! Miley looked like Cher and Madonna put together. ** Killer Mike was arrested at the show for misdemeanor battery, but soon released. He won 3 Grammys.** Someone else had to make a stink about Beyonce. Her husband called out the voters for not giving all the awards to his wife, I guess?? Jay-Z won the global impact award. Why do all these people feel the need to talk for her. She is a grown woman, I think she can speak for herself. Are we supposed to expect macho declarations at every award show now?? ** Miley yelled at the crowd to get more into her song. What?

*****
Larry David caused a stir when he when he grabbed Elmo on the Today show. He also insulted a drummer on Seth Meyers when he told him it was easy and he could do that. Just Larry being Larry.
*****
The enhanced games are games with steroids. Peter Thiel is shelling out big $. The things that rich boys find to do with their $ is fucking unbelievable. Their statement is: The athletes will be unencumbered by anachronistic legacy systems that are anti science and stigmatize enhanced athletes. Oh my. Sounds like some people don’t want to believe in themselves. Nothing but phonies. Wouldn’t it be nice if all that $ went to children and animals that really need the help?
*****
I was not raised with grown men who whine all the time. I will never understand these people who forever talk about the strength they get from God and then whine about everything in the world. Is God telling you this is the way to solve the problems? What about turn the other cheek? Forgiveness? These people are not like any conservatives or Christians that I knew. Gas prices and unemployment numbers keep dropping and wages are up. Quit bitching and let’s fix the other things that need fixing! ** I see a lot of the red hats that remind me of the brown shirts. Same gang??** A 3 judge panel said that there is no immunity for Trump. ** A judge ordered Trump to pay a $364 mil penalty. He is also barred from serving as an officer or director of any NY corporation for 3 years. ** A year long scheme to dupe banks and others with financial statements that inflated Trump’s wealth. George Santos has sued Jimmy Kimmel. I wondered how he was getting away with airing his cameos but I assumed contracts had been signed. No. Kimmel and his staff used fake names to order cameos then put them o the show. And why would you want to give Santos the $? Didn’t he grift enough?
*****
New Hampshire’s Chris Sununu is so dismissive of others. He tells us that Trump has done this awful thing and that but I would vote for him. It seems this is a mantra for them. What dicks! ** Lindsey Graham called Zuckerberg and other big tech guys, “bastards.” Others said that after they grilled these guys, the Senators probably patted themselves on the back and went right out and used social media. ** Alex Smirnov, an FBI informant, has been charged with fabricating a multi million $ bribery scheme. Jamie Raskin has called for an end to the impeachment inquiry since Smirnov started all this. His story about the “Biden crime family” and the Ukranian energy company was all Russian BS. Jim Jordan does not care and keeps pushing. Putin must be so happy that he has these operatives in our Government. ** Russia has been hit with 500 new sanctions.

That seems like a dementia thing. ** An Illinois judge barred Trump from the Republican primary ballot. Just waiting on the Supreme Court.

So.. The Michigan chair of the RNC refuses to accept the results of her RNC election and Trump wants her out. Will republicans ever again accept results when they lose?

Word came down that Wendy’s was spending $20 mil to add fluctuating price boards. The goal seemed to be jacking up prices during peak hours. Burger King decided they would use that and give away free whoppers for 3 days. Of course, you have to make a purchase and have an app. So.. A lot of people are left out of that “free whopper.” Wendy’s has since said that they were not using the boards that way. They may use them to give discounts at slow times and they swear they did not use the phrase, “surge pricing.”

soft trans boys are valid!!
if you’re feminine and a trans boy that’s so okay!
if you’re soft you’re still a boy!
masculinity/femininity does not define your gender!
you define your gender!!!
tough trans boys! = perfect!
soft trans boys! = perfect!
androgynous trans boys! = perfect!
and the same goes for trans girls!
gender! is! a! spectrum!!!
everyone! is valid!
boys can wear dresses and girls can wear boxers!!
clothes don’t have gender
colors don’t have gender
hair length does not define your gender
the only things! with gender! are people!!!!

The 10th Plague of Pesach Programs 2022
Matthew 10:34 says "Think not that I am come to send serenity on the planet: I came not to send congruity, but a sharp edge." In case that is God's youngster saying that, by then what should God's global methodology be? Likewise, think about Pesach Programs 2022 for your legitimate thoughts and guides.
Tumblr media
Without a doubt, no spot is God's worldwide technique more clear than that related in the Book of Mass migration and convincing Egypt's exceptional ruler, the pharaoh, to "Let My Kin Go". To accomplish that appeasing trick, God causes those ten infections on pharaoh's frail Egyptian people. By and by while the underlying nine illnesses might have trademark causes, it is amazingly impossible the last plague, the butcher of the Egyptian firstborn (and their animals' firstborn), can be put down to typical happenings. God is an adjudicator, jury, and executioner. Our worshiping, thoughtful, merciful, pardoning, etc exceptional god, the All-powerful, shows His genuine shadings, no inquiry concerning it.
I'd bet that any prepared criminal clinician or expert would assume that God decides a great deal of exciting satisfaction and satisfaction from mass murder and He for the most part expects the accompanying time since God's done it much of the time enough. Regardless, what about we essentially take a gander at that one express case history, the tenth plague that was caused on out of date Egypt in the Scriptural Book of Departure.
The central story is that God will go ahead among the Egyptian social classes, and their creatures and execute all of the people who were lamentable to have been the firstborn, except for any of whoever of His Picked Individuals that leave out a sign that they should be overlooked.
Here are the relevant parts and holds back, and a couple of questioned matters relating to them.
*Exodus 3:20 - And I will slacken up my hand, and obliterate Egypt with all of my supernatural occurrences which I will do in the center thereof: and from that point onward, he will deliver you.
*Exodus 11:4 - And Moses said, In this manner saith the Ruler, Around 12 PM will I go out into the center of Egypt.
*Exodus 11:5 - And all the firstborn in where there is Egypt will fail horrendously, from the recently brought into the universe of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his seat, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the plant; and all the firstborn of beasts.
*Exodus 11:7 - Yet against any of the posterity of Israel will not a canine move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Master doth put a qualification between the Egyptians and Israel.
*Exodus 12:12 - For I will go through where there is Egypt this evening, and will obliterate all the firstborn in where there is Egypt, both man and beast; and against all of the heavenly powers of Egypt I will execute judgment: I'm the Master.
*Exodus 12:29 - And it occurred, that at 12 PM the Ruler annihilated all the firstborn in where there is Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his seat unto the firstborn of the prisoner that was in the jail; and all the firstborn of dairy cows.
*Exodus 13:15 - And it happened when Pharaoh would barely deliver us, that the Master slew all the firstborn in where there is Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast.
Point One: There's one fast issue with this 'firstborn' killing. Envision a situation where before that annihilating, your firstborn had at this point passed on. I mean way in those days child mortality explicitly, and demise rates by and large would have been at higher rates for lower age get-togethers, concerning the children, those of youth ages, even young adults. God can't annihilate your firstborn if your firstborn was by then dead! Those makers who composed this chatter should have tried out a class to concentrate on Rationale 101.
Point Two: That minor issue highlights the side, but as suggested immediately above, a firstborn doesn't just consolidate babies, infants, small kids, and young people. Youngsters and adults, even those reasonably matured and the more seasoned might be firstborn. No spot in Departure does it accomplice firstborn with a child or children! In all honesty, the odds are high that the pharaoh himself was a firstborn since the movement of rulers will overall be the firstborn offspring of the last pharaoh. I'm 64 years old, and I'm a firstborn. Essentially, I was authentically not an Egyptian inhabitant way back then! Take a normal family, say one with five youngsters. One of those youngsters will be a firstborn. If the entire Egyptian nation is made out of one of each five extents of firstborn to later imagined; and if that one out of five is the firstborn that God smites, well that is a level of, in light of everything, 20%. Kill one-fifth of any nation and I'll guarantee the person(s) careful won't be an object of affection. To be sure, even Hitler didn't obliterate 20% of those living in Germany and those countries he assaulted.
Point Three: So if any state of the art pioneer, president, head director, chancellor, ruler, master or sovereign, coordinated that the whole of the firstborn of their country were to be executed forthwith, would you have the option to imagine the uproar? Whether or not the ensuing death toll would have been 'just' 15% or 10% or 5% that would have been the least of his/her interests. A particular individual would outperform being on a norm with the most incredibly horrendous of terrestrial dictators - from Hitler to Stalin to Pol Pot back to Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun. The nations of the world would join quickly and act against a particular person. Anyway because this is God doing the obliterating, honorably that is okay. However, in the Old American West, He would have likely been lynched by a swarm from the most vital piece of the tallest oak tree or, no doubt, freely disgraced, and drawn and quartered if not shrouded alive in a subterranean insect province.

Obligatory no offence to anyone who kins him and all but fuck Kavinsky. I know exactly what happens in my canon isn't what happens in actual canon and canon Kavinsky isn't like my Kavinsky but I was 15, dude. I was just living my life. If I never hear from you again it'll be too soon because even then you're looming over my back. Don't kidnap anyone. That shit haunted me for YEARS. Fuck off. -Matthew Lynch, The Raven Cycle

Every day of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, we will be highlighting over 50 superb films by black women directors from different countries, eras, and industries. This is a new collection of essential screen achievements by noted masters, exciting newcomers, and underappreciated talents. Here are the first 10 selections:
Alma’s Rainbow (Ayoka Chenzira, 1994): A fractious matriarchy of fiercely independent Brooklynites — including a buttoned-up beautician, her bohemian sister, and her starry-eyed daughter — takes precedence in this comedy where each interaction crackles and every character shines.
Belle (Amma Asante, 2013): Asante sheds light on a peculiar historical case, puncturing the British aristocracy’s cold and sumptuous veneer with the hard-edged nuances of racial and gender inequity. As the heroine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw illumines a defiant spirit with prismatic purity.
Beyond the Lights (Gina Prince-Bythewood, 2014): A deeply-felt, perfectly-acted romantic and maternal melodrama that restores the genre to its rightful place in American film. Here, love is a meeting of two world-weary souls and a path to discerning — and defending — one’s worth.
Chisholm ‘72: Unbought & Unbossed (Shola Lynch, 2004): With a wealth of archival footage and clearsighted interviews, Lynch draws back the curtain on our electoral system and pays effervescent tribute to Shirley Chisholm, who dreamt the impossible dream and dared to make it real.
Commandment Keeper Church, Beaufort South Carolina, May 1940 (Zora Neale Hurston, 1940): Count ethnographic filmmaker among the many careers Hurston held during her groundbreaking life. Here, she films Gullah worshipers and sermonizers with a style both engaged and engaging, ensuring that time will not erase them.
The Cruz Brothers and Miss Malloy (Kathleen Collins, 1980): Before Losing Ground, Collins set her sights on this tale of three Nuyorican orphans whose path crosses with a dying widow’s. A magical and mysterious film that touches gently, like the breeze brushing the tops of trees.
Cycles (Zeinabu irene Davis, 1989): Davis mixes media, draws on Yoruba traditions, and blurs the real and the imagined in this triumph of ecstatic experimentation, centered around a woman who rigorously purifies her home and body in the hopes of bringing about her overdue period.
Daughters of the Dust (Julie Dash, 1991): A lost world unearthed, its faces and places made present in a film so full of wisdom, splendor, and feeling that it eradicates the flatness of the screen. Dash created a landmark but also a sublime dream of what cinema can and should be.
Down in the Delta (Maya Angelou, 1998): Alfre Woodard is funny, flinty, and full-hearted as a single mom and struggling addict starting anew with estranged Mississippi kin. In Angelou’s only film, life is a forward march and family a time-honored bond both fragile and fortifying.
A Dream is What You Wake Up From (Carolyn Y. Johnson, 1978): Even as this incisive docudrama confounds the border between reality and fiction, its ideas about gender imbalance and the societal prejudice that locks black families outside of the American dream remain crystal-clear.

When Kavinsky invites Ronan to dream, fate twists its net differently. Matthew never ends up in that trunk on the fourth of July. Kavinsky's desperate pleas for help are answered. Ronan finds what he's been looking for. Insanity boils down to need, and need is satisfied. Eventually. But before that, Ronan and Kavinsky will need to play with the hand they were given. Together.
Or:
Ronan discovers that there's more to Kavinsky than a hardened, outer shell of an addict and inherent freak. He quite likes this 'more'. Insanity ensues.
