B-u-c-k-y? Bucky
Pairings: father!Bucky Barnes & child!reader, featuring Steve Rogers & child!reader and Tony Stark & child!reader (all platonic)
Imagine: The beginning of your relationship with your father and a glimpse at the progress
Warnings: angst, fluff, mention of Hydra, mention of child mistreatment, mention of experiments, reader describes as tiny to clarify more that hydra treated them bad, mention of medical equipment such as syringes, not proofread, if you find anything else please tell me
A/N so don’t know where this came from but I haven’t been able to write something in months so I’m just happy to be able to write again hopefully, don’t know if I like it or not but here we go anyway enjoy
Kinda short, dunno about 2000 words or so
might make more parts to this
Sparks lit up the dark corridor as Bucky and Steve walked down the stairs to be met with red lights flashing above each door as the alarms blasted their annoyingly high pitched sound that made your ears ring afterwards. One look at each other, they gave a nod and split up as they took one side each of the corridor.
The first room Bucky opened was filled with cabinets made of plastic and in each was different kinds of test tubes with what looked like some kind of poisonous liquid. Syringes were spread out over the desks neatly. Bucky felt chills run down his spine as he saw the hospital bed (or more like a table with white a quilt?) in the middle of the room. Handcuffs made to restrain a person laid neatly on the bed. Blood covering the sides of the bed and his mind went back to 1945, when Arnim Zola experimented on him. Which had coincidentally also been at a hydra base. His gun raised as he searched the room for any kind of lifeforms, when he found none he went on to the next door.
This continued for at least five more doors, some of them being lab rooms and some what looked like prison cells fortified with extra protection, meaning whoever had once been inside couldn’t have fled on their own.
When he opened the sixth door, Bucky scanned the room and had it not been for the red lights flashing once in a while and the lamp that flickered out a dull light he would've missed the tiny child in the room. Knees pressed to their chest. Hospital gown clinging to their skin from blood and cold sweat. The room had cold chills and even for Bucky who tolerated the cold more than others he could feel the freezing temperature in the room. He lowered his gun and put on the softest expression he could muster during these circumstances. Bucky glanced out the door and yelled out with a soft voice (to not startle the child) once for Steve, Bucky’s gaze not soon after fell back to the quivering child, that was you, who stared at him with wide scared eyes.
Bucky took a careful step towards you as he kneeled down slightly to put his gun onto the floor. He gave you what was supposed to look like a kind smile but looked more like a grimace as he thought about what you must have been through. As soon as you saw Bucky coming closer he watched as dark blue smoke covered your tiny frame and not a second after you were gone. Bucky stopped in his tracks and looked around the room for you. His eyes fell on the coroner farthest away from him. You had covered your ears with your hands and your eyes were shut. Your body was tense and knees still pressed to your chest as you quivered further into the corner. Bucky stayed in place not knowing entirely what to do. At that moment he saw Steve walk through the door sparing a glance towards you before back at Bucky his shield raised as they both heard people run their way. With a sigh from Bucky they both left you for the time being as Hydra soldiers started to fill the end of the corridor.
As soon as you heard the sound of shots (your hands not able to muffle out the sounds that came right outside of the room you resided in) die down you opened your eyes. You watched with curious eyes as Bucky (not that you knew his name) walked into the room once more. Like before he put his gun down and gave you a kind smile, this time his hand slowly reached out for you. He watched as you pressed yourself girder into the corner as you stared at his hand.
“hey, hey, okay, it’s okay” Bucky raised both his hands into the air to show he meant no harm as he cautiously took another step closer. “I won’t hurt you” Steve watched from the door opening as Bucky interacted with you. His gaze shifted to the metal objects (or what looked like toys for children) in the room that had started to slightly hover over the ground, including Bucky’s gun.
Bucky’s eyes glanced towards the hovering objects and was a tiny bit glad that you hadn’t done anything to his left arm. “What's your name?” he let out a sigh as you didn't answer knowing you probably wouldn't answer anything he asked you, hell he didn’t even know if you could understand him. His head tilted slightly as he took slow steps forward until he knelt in front of you. The metal objects (except his arm) are rising higher into the air.
“are you alright, you hurt?” He said clearly as he watched you start to pick at the side of your arm where blood was running down onto your hospital gown. He watched as you picked at multiple wounds, some of them he could clearly see were from syringes and his eyes saddened. Both Bucky and Steve watched as you pressed yourself deeper into the corner, as you tried to hide the many bruises that littered your body.
“can I-we help you, can you let us help you out of here?” Bucky gestured with his hand to him and Steve as he said the word us. Once more he didn’t get a verbal answer but instead he got you to move out of the corner slightly. Bucky held his hand out to you once more and watched as you carefully placed your tiny hand in his much bigger one. He couldn’t help but to give a soft smile once more towards you.
"Can you walk?” And yet again there was no answer. Bucky looked at you with an uncertain expression as you stood up. Your body swaying from side to side. He carefully and slowly to make sure you could stop him if you wanted to, took you into his arms. Making sure you wouldn’t fall he stood up straight and started to walk towards Steve who smiled slightly at Bucky as he watched you shut your eyes and bury your head into his chest. The metal objects all crashed to the ground with a loud clatter of noise in various directions.
This had all been four months ago and Bucky had finally started to get you to trust him enough for you to let him teach you how to talk, write and read. By now you also trusted the rest of the avengers enough so that you wouldn’t try to hide from all of them except Steve (excluding Bucky). Tony would most days let you sit beside him as he made new iron man suits and at some time along the way he’d let you help him by using your powers to bend a metal the way he wanted it to be. This would in the end result in you running up to Bucky proud of your accomplishments and for Bucky to ruffle your hair and tell you how proud he was. These interactions with Tony also led to you having more control over your powers at least one of them. You still tended to teleport yourself unintentionally to the other side of the room if you were scared.
Today it just so happened that Bucky held another lesson with you to help you speak. So far you were able to say yes and no and some other basic things such as “hungry” and “tired”. However even though you were starting to learn you still most of the time stuck to being nonverbal and only shook your head yes or no or shrugged your shoulders when you didn’t know.
At this moment Bucky had tried to teach you to say his name and so far your tries had been good but as he knew you were a slow learner which he realized the first time he started to teach you, he knew you wouldn't be getting his name right in a while. For Bucky however this was just a minor setback as he felt he had to teach you everything after all as it so happened he was your father.
As soon as you had gotten to the Avengers base they tried to find out if you had any family that had filed a missing child’s report and to know what your name was as you refused to speak (them not knowing you didn’t know how to). Bucky had to promise you that he would be there for every test they did to you to make sure you were as healthy as you could be at that moment for you to let them be near you with any medical devices. As it turned out Hydra had somehow created you from Bucky’s DNA meaning he was listed as the father in the old Htdra records they found at the Hydra base they had attacked. They had also found out that you were around 8-9 years old. There wasn’t a specific date listed anywhere on when your birthday was, only what year you were born. This had shocked all of the heroes as they by the way you looked were way younger. All the more information they gained only made Bucky feel more guilty. Even if he didn’t know about your existence he still felt guilty over the things you had suffered with Hydra. The fact that you looked so much younger made him feel more guilty as it showed how poorly they had taken care of you. If he just looked at you he would assume you were around 5-6 years old and maybe your powers helped your appearance look younger but it still made him feel guilty.
Bucky had to shake himself out of his thoughts as he watched and heard you try to pronounce his name correctly.
“B-b-a-b-a-ck-y” You fumbled over the words as you hugged the Iron Man plushie Tony had given you a few days prior after he saw you holding a Captain America plushie. Ever since you hadn’t let go of the new plushie, much to Bucky’s demise and Tony’s ego.
Your father couldn’t help but to smile at you, it had been a long time since he smiled as much as when you came into his life and he hoped that maybe you could heal the part in himself that he found to be broken.
“not A” he pointed to the letter a in the book you held in front of you “sweetheart, it’s b-u-cky” Bucky pointed at each letter as he said them. He had originally wanted to teach you to call him dad first but as you had no idea what that word meant yet and only ever heard people call him bucky that's what he went with to for now to not make you confused.
“ba-cku?
Bucky chuckled slightly and remade his actions as before. He pointed to each letter as he said them. “b-u-c-k-y, bucky”
“B-u-c-k-y?”
“That's right sweetie, B-u-c-k-y” Steve spoke from beside you as he took the other seat next to you as he brought you a plate with different types of sliced fruit as they were still trying to see what you liked to eat.
You took fruit from the plate and tasted it. Munching on it you smiled slightly up at Bucky. “Bu-cky, Bucky? Bucky”
Both super soldiers let out encouraging smiles as you repeated Bucky’s name as if it was a chant. Bucky’s smile held more pride than the others who had heard you as he ruffled your hair. He smiled more brightly as he watched you stand up and ruffle his own hair mimicking his actions. With that he let out a small laugh and kissed the top of your head as you sat down once more, ready for Bucky to teach you other words.

Can I request headcanons about being Tony Starks son?
Being Tony Stark’s Son
Tony Stark x Son!Reader [MASTERLIST] SUMMARY: The life of Tony Stark’s son through the years. WARNINGS: Mentions of death, kidnapping, grief. A/N: So sorry for the late reply, so much has happened. I understand you had requested this in 2024 and it’s now 2025. I didn’t expect it to take me so long. I’m not going to go into detail on why, as it’s personal. I hope that I had written this to your liking. This is headcanons, so it’s going to be bulleted. So much shit happened that I had to push it to the side. I hope you enjoy! [GIF NOT MINE]
Of course, you were a product of a one night stand.
Your mother hooked up with your father one fateful 2006/7 night and of course she got pregnant.
A party and many drinks later led to your very existence.
Your father had never shared what happened with your mother, how he had gotten custody over you. So, there’s that part of the story you’ll never know the answer to.
Not that it mattered. She’s not around to tell her story, and knowing how you got here wasn’t going to change what happened to you.
Now, your father wasn’t the best in the beginning. Leaving you with babysitter after babysitter. Well, they were more like nannies that often got switched out. After all, he was still a playboy. Becoming a father would do little to hinder his lifestyle.
Until he became Ironman. You were about two when it happened, your only memory of the event was your father’s assistant. Was she an assistant? God, you can’t remember. She took care of you during his absence, when he was in that foreign country assumed to be dead.
If anything, the moment your father became Ironman was the moment he became a dad. Not your birth, not the moment he held you. The moment he grew into a better father was the moment he became Ironman.
The whole arc reactor thing mesmerized you. Your eyes would be glued to his chest as it glowed in dim lighting.
If anyone asked you what happened between the day your father became Ironman to the day the Avengers saved the world for the first time, you’d honestly wouldn’t be able to answer them. Those years hadn’t much to remember. After all, you were still a child during this time. If anything, the most adventure you had during those years was preschool, happy driving you around and being a begrudging babysitter when you were left unattended. As much as Peppy Potts (as you were to call her, her name wasn’t as easy as one would assume,) adored you, she was no babysitter.
Hell, even a brief memory of silent plans your father made in the case of his death would cross your mind. He was hiding a lot, those days.
Getting picked up in a non-extravagant vehicle was something that your father wasn’t too keen on. He was a flashy man with gimmicks only the rich could partake. And yet, it was done to keep you safe. Hell, you even had a false last name for the first few years of your life. You were too young to protect yourself. It was quickly done after some paparazzi got a whiff of the school you were attending and crowded the school just as you were getting out.
It was a stupid last name, too. It was a wonder you weren’t bullied by four year olds. Or kidnapped. Honestly, you were too trusting, too loving.
Well, you were kidnapped that one time. Loki got you. Thats honestly how you remember some bits and pieces of it all. It was such a scary few days. Spent a while shaking and bundled up. Met a few heros and spent quite a bit of time with your father. Once again, this triggered another onslaught of changes with your father. He spent time with you. An actual father.
The more you think about it, the more you realize you were far too young to comprehend the majority events of your past. The big bads, the small things. All you really remember is being a kid. You heard almost everything second-hand. You were there for such small increments, pushed off before it was too dangerous.
When Ultron came to fruition and the world’s safety was at risk, you were, once more, sent away. However, you remembered this one. You stayed with the Barton family once the Avengers had been sent there. You were roughly eight or so.
Clint’s kids were great, though. So was his wife. They were fun to play with. Especially Lila, she was closer to your age. Called Natasha her aunt. You want to call Natasha your aunt, too. A privilege that you had shyly asked for right before you were properly entrusted and left with the family.
Aunt Nat said yes.
You helped Mrs.Barton, as you were too afraid to ask her for her name, with whatever she asked her children of. You felt it would be unfair otherwise. Despite the insurance, you pushed on.
Lila played dolls with you, chased you through the fields. It was fun. Best friends forever, you’d say with a grin.
Going back home was not fun. Saying goodbye to the Barton’s tearfully, your father had begrudgingly agreed to let you visit sparsely. But visit nonetheless.
Your family got a little bigger.
Hell, you even got the guts to shyly ask Peppy to be your mom. By then, she had been dating your father and been such a big part of your life that she qualified for the title. Even took over driving you to and from school. Of course, with a normal looking car.
Your first birthday party that you properly enjoyed also happened in this time. You had friends attending, your father attending, your newfound mother attending. Even new aunts and uncles.
You even qualified for the gifted program. However, you contested. You were a smart kid, smarts practically ran in the family. But you didn’t want to change classes. You wanted to remain in the same classes as your friends. The need to nurture your smarts may not have occurred in school but it had with afterschool activities.
Tutors and small projects in which your help was enlisted had proved very valuable. In which you had showcased immense understanding.
At the staggering age of 9-10, during the time of what the press dubbed as ‘civil war,’ the enactment of the Superhero Registration Act, you were accepted into the Stark Internship. One of many, really. Without bias. One would assume it held some considering your age, but your father insisted, as well as your mother, it be done the proper way.
You were surrounded by teenagers, older than you. Even adults. Few got into the program. Including a rather nervous and anxious Peter Parker. Your father liked him. A lot. Hell, because of this you were in proximity with Peter often. Knew of his secrets.
”Peter,” you’d find yourself leaning over the teen’s shoulder one afternoon. He was having lunch with your father.
”Yeah?”
”Can you show me some cool tricks?”
Peter would look between you and your father. Nervous. “Go ahead,” your father would say.
Your favorite super hero, from then on, was Spider-Man. He became your favorite hero. Your big brother. Your babysitter. Ned Leeds, as you learned his name from Peter, asked you a plentiful of questions that you hardly knew the answer to once you met him. Primarily about what happened during those aforementioned fights you never witnessed.
About when you got kidnapped. That’s when Peter’s blood ran cold, panicking. You assured them it was fine. You hardly remembered it. Just bits and pieces. It doesn’t scare you anymore.
Life went on. Your father had a fight with Peter, Peter lost his internship, Peter got back his internship. He was still your older brother.
Now, once more, you were left out of it. But, the Blip, you were at school when it happened. Your father out in space and your mother worrying like no tomorrow. The last bell and you were on your way to the car. Students around you fizzled to nothing, parents and teachers too. You yelped, running to your mother.
A lot of calls were made. No Lila, no Peter, no dad. Your world crumbled, grades plummeting.
And then dad came home, skeletal.
There was a few weeks of finding a new normal. Mourning was not easy. Classes were quiet. And the impromptu move. Your parents got married and you were an older brother.
You started highschool. And honestly? It was rough. You thought about life a lot. You were being sent to Peter’s highschool, something you begged for once you entered middle school. You always wanted to be like him.
At 15 your father allowed you to tinker with some suits. Much like the anniversary gift for your mother, you were allowed to make your own. Not for proper use just yet, for experience. And for a father-son bonding. Sue him, you grew out of playing catch at seven and had been itching to create something remotely similar to the Ironman suit for years now. Might as well allow you to do something remotely similar under supervision.
Family time happened often. With Morgan constantly asking you to play with her, or mom asking you to help her with cooking. And, with dad consistently aiding you in this project.
You were never alone.
And then dad died and so many people came back from the dead.
Lila was still that kid. You were older than her now instead of the other way around. You desperately wanted to remain friends with her, best friends, but you felt odd, awkward.
Peter Parker wasn’t your big brother anymore. He was your equal. He was a grade ahead of you, and you shared electives. It was… So weird.
”Look… Look at how big you’ve gotten,” Peter would breathe once he got a good look at you, hands settling on your shoulders. “Oh, man. You… You look like…”
”My dad?”
”Yeah.”
You’ve been getting that one a lot now. You’ve grown into your features. Many of which recognizable and comparable to your father’s. It broke you once your mother pointed it out one day. A gentle hand resting upon your shoulder as you gone through a box of his old blueprints. “You look like your father, you know. Got his smile, his nose, his hair,” she’d tease by scrunching your your hair. You’d laugh it off, biting your cheek as a pit opened in your stomach.
Depression and anguish ate away at your limbs, the funeral taking more from you. Locked away in that bedroom, your sister would sit outside and ask you to come play. Despite having gained them back, you’ve felt… So lonely.
Peter dropped by often. A request from your mother. It was weird. This all felt wrong. Lila, too. Despite the age difference between you two, she insisted upon maintaining the friendship she still felt you had.
It’s hard. But it’ll get easier. An assurance.
They’d help you.
You started working on the suit again. And day by day, it’ll get easier. Just stay in contact with those you love. Make friends.
”The road to recovery ain’t easy, bud,” your mother would say on the harder days. A hand pressed firmly to your back. “What matters is you do what you can to get through it.”
And you took it to heart.
It’s finally done. Once again, I apologize for how long it has taken. Let me know if I need to fix anything, there’s any errors, or inconsistencies. Or, if it’s just plain bad. I hope you liked this and if you’d like me to expand on this, let me know!

Have a fantastic day / night! Xoxo .

Wanda is holding Y/N’s hand as the two of them, and Natasha, wait for the elevator in the Avengers Tower’s lobby. “Are you excited, honey?” She squeezes Y/N’s hand, glancing down at her with a smile.
The teen nods, keeping her eyes on the numbers on top of the elevator.
She isn’t necessarily excited, but she isn’t displeased by it either. She has wanted to meet her parents’ families for a while now, but there has always been a question whether or not she is capable of meeting them.
Natasha and Wanda are used to Y/N’s nonverbal answers by now. She didn’t talk to them at all for the first few weeks, which made them worried something was wrong, but soon enough they figured out that the girl is just incredibly nervous around people. Nowadays she is comfortable enough to talk to them, though the two adults are still more talkative compared to her.
The elevator lets out a ding once it reaches the ground floor, its doors opening.
The trio steps inside and Natasha presses the button for the right floor. “We made sure that only few team members are there, okay?” She moves to Y/N’s other side, setting her hand onto her shoulder.
Y/N looks up at her mom, giving her a small smile. A lot of people in her life, before getting adopted by Natasha and Wanda, thought her minimal expressions were rude. But the two ex-Avengers never faulted her for them, they’ve always known she’s still being genuine.
As the elevator goes up the floors, the nerves in Y/N start to rise. She tightens her hold on Wanda’s hand, the feel of it bringing her some sense of comfort.
The ride to the 91st floor is over fairly quick.
The elevator doors open once again, the quiet chatter of the few team members present audible though they are not yet visible.
The trio walk out of the elevator, Y/N’s steps slightly slower now that the presence of unknown people is clear. She stays close to Wanda as they walk towards the living room, practically glued to her side.
“Hi everyone.” Kate, Steve, and Pietro turn to look at the three of them when Wanda speaks. “This is Y/N,” she brings her forward, “our daughter. And these are some of our teammates.” She glances at Y/N as she gestures at the three Avengers on the couches, naming them all individually.
Y/N doesn’t look at them directly, rather having her gaze on the back of one of the couches. Her body is tense, she can feel all of them staring at her.
“Just a teammate?” Pietro scoffs, standing up with a grin. “I’m her uncle, sister, give some respect to my title.”
Wanda rolls her eyes. “Yes, yes, that’s your uncle Pietro.” She mumbles to Y/N, standing behind her with her hands on her shoulders.
The playful annoyance in her mother’s voice makes a small smile appear on Y/N’s face. However, it quickly disappears when the attention completely shifts to her.
“How old are you, kid?”
Though Steve’s voice is calm—a reason why Wanda and Natasha wanted him to be one of the first ones to meet her—Y/N still felt incredibly anxious. She continues staring at the couch, her hands fidgeting behind her back as she stays quiet.
“She’s 14.” Natasha speaks up soon after, knowing her daughter wouldn’t be speaking.
Steve glances at Natasha, nodding with a small smile. "So, how is school then? What grade are you in?"
"Can you be any more of an old man." Kate mumbles, snickering with Pietro. "What movie do you like? Or are you more into series?"
"Do you like video games? Me, Kate, and you could play some mario Kart." Pietro joins to the questioning.
Y/N's eyes widen as she listens to the onslaught of questions from her mothers' teammates. Her heart starts hammering in her chest, the thumping of it almost deafening in her ears. She starts breathing heavier, faster, deperately trying to reign it in, she doesn't want these people to see her like that. She tries to open your mouth to answer, to answer at least one of the questions, but it's almost like her body is frozen.
"She likes both, current favorite is...Fallout series, if I remember correctly." Wanda answers, her voice muffled in Y/N's ears. "Video games too, she actually got us both into Stardew Valley." She laughs, bumping her shoulder gently against Natasha's.
"Sister, please." Pietro groans, stepping closer to the three of them, his eyes on Y/N. "Let the kid answer some of the questions too. What else do you like to do?"
Her hands start to tremble at the attention on her, a cold sweat starting to appear on her skin. Y/N clears her throat, though she isn't sure if any sounds even leaves her. She feels her mind going further and further away, her thoughts not making sense anymore. She swallows onece, twice, her throat starts to feel smaller.
"Would you give us a moment." She can hear Natasha's muffled voice as a hand takes hold of her arm, pulling her into the corridor and away from the people. She can see the mix of worry and confusion in the other teammates' faces at a glance.
Natasha and Wanda pull their daughter into their old bedroom, gently pushing her to sit on the bed. "Sweetheart," the latter whispers, "you are okay. Take some deep breaths for me." Shaky breaths leave Y/N's mouth. She holds onto Wanda's hand tightly while leaning against Natasha, their proximity bringing her comfort.
It takes her a while, but she manages to calm herself down before a full blown panic attack happens.
"You're okay, nothing's going to get you." Natasha whispers, her hand rubbing Y/N's back. "We can stay here, just the three of us. There's no hurry to go back or meet anyone else."
Y/N leans her head against Natasha's shoulder. Wanda taps her chin softly, making her move her gaze to her face. "You did so well in there, you hear me? Don't let this pull you down, my darling."
Although, she doesn't fully believe her mother's words, Y/N nods and musters up a tiny smile for her. A sense of disappointment does fill her for being unable to talk to the people her mothers are close to, but she tries to remember their words. It's not her fault, and every social interaction is a victory, no matter how small.
"How about we stay the night here, yeah?" Natasha wraps one arm around Y/N and the other grabs Wanda's arm, pulling them both down to lie down on the bed. "We'll stay here all night and only go out when we need to eat."
Wanda laughs as she gets pulled on top of Natasha. "Sounds wonderful, baby."
A small smile grows on Y/N's face as she listens to her mothers laugh. She cuddles up to them, happy to stay in the Avengers Tower as long as they stay in the bedroom.

Ooo so I just had this thought come to mind!!
Can I please request a platonic Dad!Steve Rogers x daughter reader where he had a newborn daughter pre serum, and when Steve crashes the plane into the ice, his now 3 year old daughter gets abducted by Hydra. They at first intended to experiment on her but they turned their focus on their main project, Bucky, so they put Steve’s daughter in cryo for almost 60 years until SHIELD finds her in a raid on Hydra’s compound and as this is before Steve is out of the ice and no one knows who she is, she’s put into foster care. Then flash forward to CA: Winter Soldier, Steve is pulled into Fury’s office because a 15 year old girl hacked into SHEILD’s servers (she most likely trying to find out what happened to her when she was little) and Fury had run her dna to see who she was only to found that she is Captain America’s daughter (but she doesn’t remember who her Dad is or that she was born in 1942, but she may get some memories here and there) and Steve would probably start crying on the spot because he thought his daughter wasn’t alive and he’d feel guilty that Hydra got their hands on her. she is in a lot of trouble with SHEILD and Steve gets her out of it by having her use her hacking abilities to help The Avengers. Anyways, she rebels against Steve a lot, sneaks out, and feels angry at her dad because she feels like he abandoned her back in the 40s because he insisted on trying to enlist. When they get Bucky back and he joins the Avengers (I’m sure Y/n used her hacking skills to help and also the Avengers don’t break up) Bucky would be so emotional to see his niece again and she’d confide how she’s feeling about her Dad and I feel like he’d be a big help and Sam would help talk her through the trauma she’s gone through. Bucky convinces her to talk to her Dad and she opens up to Steve, telling him how she felt abandoned and unloved by him and it would absolutely break Steve’s heart and he just holds his daughter close and promise to never leave her again 🥺
Never Leaving You Again » Steve Rogers/Captain America
Pairings: Dad!Pre Serum Steve Rogers x Daughter!Reader with 40s Bucky Barnes, Dad!Steve Rogers x Teen Daughter!Reader with Nick Fury, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson/Falcon, and the Avengers
Summary: Steve promises to never leave you again when you tell him that you feel abandoned and unloved by him.
Warnings: Fluff, Angst, language, HYDRA, kidnapping, feelings of abandonment and unloved, crying, nicknames

1942
“What’s it like now that you’re a dad?” Bucky curiously asks Steve.
“It’s a lot to adjust to, but I love it and wouldn’t change it for the world.” Steve answers as he smiles down at you. “Isn’t that right, princess?” He coos at you.
You made a babbling noise as you stared up at your dad and uncle.
“This little girl has no idea how much I’m going to spoil her.” Bucky says, gently and softly rubbing his thumb against your tiny hand.
“Are you trying to make my daughter choose favorites?” Steve jokingly asks.
“Maybe I am. Maybe I’m not.” Bucky playfully grins. “I am her godfather and favorite uncle after all.” He says.
“If anyone is going to be her favorite, it’s going to be me.” Steve says.
“Both of you are wrong. I’m going to be Y/N’s favorite.” Your mom says as she walks in the living room with your bottle.
Steve carefully handed you over to your mom so she can feed you.
“Just know, boys will be boys, sweetie.” Your mom tells you as she feeds you.
You just stared up at her as she fed you. Steve and Bucky playfully rolled their eyes at her.
———
“Do you think Y/N will hate me when I enlist in the Army?” Steve asks your mom.
“Honey, she’s just a baby. She’ll love you no matter what.” Your mom says softly.
“You’re right.” Steve smiles and kisses your mom. “I just needed to hear it.” He says.
———
1945
You were in the living room, drawing on blank pieces of paper. You were drawing more pictures to send to your dad and uncle Bucky. Your mom was in the kitchen getting you some juice.
“Here you go, sweetie.” Your mom says, putting your juice cup in front of you on the coffee table.
“Thank you, mama.” You say with a smile.
“You’re welcome.” She smiles down at you.
Your mom was about to go back to the kitchen to do the dishes when there was a knock at the door. She opened the door to see two Army officers.
“Are you Y/M/N Rogers?” One of the Army officers asks.
“Yes.” Your mom answers.
“We’re so sorry that we have to tell you this, but your husband, Captain Steven Rogers, the plane he was in went down and unfortunately he didn’t make it.” The second Army officer tells her.
Your mom’s heart dropped to the pit of her stomach and tears filled her eyes. You walked over to your mom to see her talking to two men at the door.
“Mama?” You tapped on her leg.
Your mom and the Army officers looked down at you. You stared up at your mom with the look of curiosity on your face and wondering what has your mom upset.
“Why sad?” You asked her.
“Go back to the living room, sweetie. I’ll be there in a minute, ok?” Your mom says.
“Ok, mama.” You replied.
You went back to the living room and picked up where you left off on your drawings to your dad and uncle Bucky. The Army said their condolences to your mom before leaving. Your mom closed the door and went to the living room. She sat down on the couch. At this point, tears were streaming down her face.
“Sweetie…” Her voice cracks. “Mama, has something to tell you.” She says, patting the spot next to her on the couch.
You stopped what you were doing and climbed up onto the couch next to your mom. You looked at her, waiting for her to tell you what she has to tell you.
“You know that daddy loves you very much, right?” Your mom begins.
You smiled and nodded your head.
“Well, umm-” She cleared her throat. “Daddy isn’t coming home.” She says.
“Why?” You asked.
“Something happened to him and he didn’t make it.” She tells you.
“Didn’t make it?” You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion.
“He’s in heaven now.” She says.
“No.” You said. “Daddy and uncle Bucky are coming home.” You say.
“Uncle Bucky is in heaven too, sweetie.” She says.
Your bottom lip and your tears teared up when she said that. You shook your head no, refusing to believe that two of your favorite people are dead.
“I want them to come home!” You say, tears rolling down your face.
“I know, sweetie. I do too.” Your mom almost whispers.
You broke down in tears. Your mom pulled you onto her lap. She held you while the both of you cried together.
A few weeks go by since your mom told you that your dad and uncle Bucky aren’t coming home. You’re not sure how to cope with the fact that they’re not coming home, but you’re trying to stay strong for your mom.
You were sleeping in your bedroom when the door was busted down. You scrambled to sit up. You seen a man dressed in all black tactical gear. You screamed as loud as you could, hoping your mom would hear you and would coming running to your room, but she didn’t. The man covered your mouth with a cloth, your screams muffled by his hand. The more you inhaled the chemicals on the cloth, you grew weak and pasted out.
When you came to, you woke up in an unfamiliar room and strapped to a cold metal table. You began to panic. You tried to squirm out of the restraints, but it was no use. The restraints were too tight. You jumped when the door opened. A man in a suit and a man in a white lab coat walked in the room.
“Hello, Miss. Rogers.” The man in the suit greets you. “I’m Arnim Zola.” He introduces himself.
You stayed quiet, staring at him. If your mom, dad, and uncle Bucky taught you anything about strangers, it’s to not talk to them.
“You’re going to be a new edition to HYDRA.” Zola says.
Zola looks at the man in the lab coat who was prepping an IV needle. He gave him a nod. The man walked over to you. Your eyes went wide and your heart started to pound in your chest when you seen the needle. Your breathing became uneven and tears streamed down your face. You cried when the IV needle pricked your skin. That’s when all of the pain and trauma began…
———
60 YEARS LATER
SHIELD Agents busted down the doors to the HYDRA base. They split up, raiding the place. Everywhere room in the base was clear, except for one… the cryogenic chamber room, which is where you are. An agent pushed the button to open the chamber you’re in. Everyone’s eyes went wide when they seen that you’re just a kid.
“This is sick of them. This child didn’t deserve any of the pain they put her through.” A SHIELD Agent says.
Everyone nodded in agreement. They got you out of the cryo and took you to a hospital to get you checked out. An employee from child protective services was called to your case. She was told where you were found and you didn’t have any family members to take care of you. She put you in the foster care system and hoped that a loving family would adopted you.
———
Curiosity fills your mind. You were wondering who your parents are, where you’re from, and stuff like that. Memories appear in your mind from time to time.
During study hall at school, you decided to do non school related research. You typed your name into Google, wondering what would come up. A lot popped up, mostly of a man called Captain America. You furrowed your eyebrows and clicked on one of the links. It took you to SHIELD’s website. It also showed you a picture of a man who has the same last name as you. You did more digging. You typed a code into your laptop, hacking into SHIELD’s servers to get more information on the man who has the same last name as you.
Little did you know that the hacking you did alerted SHIELD. An alert came up on everyone’s computers. A couple agents went straight to Fury’s office.
“Director Fury, someone hacked into our servers.” One of the agents tells him.
“I know. I’m looking at it.” Fury says.
Fury checked the location of where the hack came from. He also found out that the hacker was a 15 year old girl… you.
“That hacker is a 15 year old girl named Y/N who attends high school in the city.” Fury tells the agents. “Go get her and bring her in.” He instructs.
The agents nodded and went to your school.
“Can I help you gentlemen?” The secretary asks them.
“We were told to pick up girl named Y/N and bring her in for questioning.” One of the agents says.
The secretary states at the two agents for a second, noticing that they’re wearing tactical gear. She also knows that you get into trouble sometimes. She didn’t question them.
“Y/N, please come to the front office.” The secretary announces over the intercom.
You groaned loudly, wondering what you’re in trouble for this time. You closed your laptop and put it in your backpack. You slung your backpack onto your shoulders and went to the front office. You froze when you seen the two agents. You noticed SHIELD’s logo from the website you hacked into on their tactical gear.
“Shit…” You mumbled to yourself.
You tried to escape them by running past them, but they grabbed you before you could. They led you out of the school and out to SHIELD’s vehicle. You got in the vehicle and stayed quiet the whole ride to SHIELD. You walked inside of SHIELD with the two agents behind you. You were met by Fury.
“Take her to interrogation room 1 and take her laptop and other devices she might have from her.” Fury tells the agents.
The agents nodded and took you to the interrogation room. You dropped your backpack on the floor and sat in the chair, slouching in it. One agent grabbed your backpack and took your laptop out of it.
“You can’t just do that!” You say loudly.
“Actually, we can.” One agent says.
“Give us your cell phone.” The second agent says, holding out his hand.
You made a grumbling noise and took your phone out of your back pocket, handing it to him. The agents left the room, leaving you alone in the interrogation room.
“Fucking assholes.” You mumbled under your breath.
You were alone in the interrogation room while SHIELD’s tech team checked your phone and laptop to see why you hacked into their servers.
“Did you find anything?” Fury asks.
“It appears that’s she hacked our servers to get information on Captain Rogers.” The tech agent tells him.
As Fury looked at the picture of Steve that’s on Steve’s SHIELD profile, he noticed similarities between you and him.
“Get a DNA test on her.” Fury says.
A SHIELD agent nodded and went to SHIELD’s lab to get a DNA testing kit before going to the interrogation room you’re in.
“Can I leave now?” You asked as the agent walked in the room.
“No.” The agent said. “Roll up your sleeve and stay still.” He says.
You seen a needle in his hand. Your eyes went wide.
“Hell no!” You jumped out of the chair. “I am not going through that shit again!” You say.
The agent called another agent in the room for assistance. He wrapped his arms around you to prevent you from escaping. The other agent rolled up your sweatshirt sleeve. You yelped when the needle pricked your skin. The agent took a little bit of your blood and put a bandaid on your arm where he took your blood. The other agent let go of you and both of them left the room. You sat back down in the chair.
The agent took your blood to the lab for the DNA test, putting a rush on it. What feels like forever goes by and the results of the DNA test are ready. The lab tech took the results to Fury. Fury looked at the results. The DNA test results revealed that you’re the daughter of Captain America. Fury announced for Steve to go to his office the intercom. Steve was confused on why Fury called him to his office.
“You wanted to see me?” Steve asks as he walked in Fury’s office.
“You might want to sit down.” Fury says.
Steve sat down in one of the chairs that’s in front of Fury’s desk.
“I’m sure that you heard about someone hacking into our servers today.” Fury begins.
Steve nods.
“We found out who the hacker is and brought her here. Apparently, a 15 year old girl was trying to get information on you.” He tells him.
“Why?” Steve asks.
“You tell me. How come you never told anyone that you have a daughter?” He asks.
Steve shifted in his seat when Fury brought you up.
“My daughter is a sensitive subject for me to talk about. I haven’t seen her since she was a year old. I tried looking for her when I came out of the ice, but didn’t find anything. I assumed she died and that was very hard for me to come to terms with.” Steve says.
“You assumed wrong.” Fury says, handing Steve your DNA test results.
Steve looked at the test results. His eyes went wide.
“N-No. This isn’t possible. My daughter is dead.” Steve says in a shaky voice.
“DNA doesn’t lie, Rogers.” Fury says.
Steve was completely mind blown. His eyes filled with tears.
“She’s in interrogation room 1 if you want to see her.” Fury tells him.
“She- She’s here?” Steve asks.
Fury nodded. Steve stood up, going straight to the interrogation room you’re in. His breath hitched in his throat when he opened the door and seeing you for the first time in years.
“What? Do you guys want more blood from me?” You asked sarcastically.
Steve closed the door behind him and walked over to the table, sitting down across from me.
“Y/N?” Steve asks.
“Yes?” You say like a question. “Do I know you?” You asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I’m your dad.” He says.
“N-No.” You shook your head. “My mom told me that my dad died or something in the Army in 1945.” You say.
“Sweetheart, I know it’s a shock for you. It is for me.” He says.
That’s when a memory flashed in your mind.
“I’m going to miss you, princess. Daddy loves you so much.” Steve say softly.
“Wuv dada.” You babbled.
Steve smiles and kisses the top of your head before handing you off to your mom. He gave your mom a kiss too.
“I’ll see both of you soon.” Steve says before making his way over to the Military Jeep.
The memory ended. Steve put his hand on top of yours. You jerked your hand away and stood up from the chair.
“You said you would come home! You lied!” You exclaimed.
“Princess, I didn’t lie. I had to do what I had to do.” Steve says.
“Don’t fucking call me princess! I’m not a little girl anymore!” You say.
“Y/N, please calm down.” He says softly.
“Don’t tell me to fucking to calm down!” You shouted. “Do you want to know what my life was like after you “died”? My life was a living hell since I was 3 years old! HYDRA took my childhood from me! They injected me with Super Soldier serum and trained me to do things I didn’t want to do! Then I got froze and 60 years later, I got put in the foster care system. Today, I looked up what my life to see who my parents are and now I’m here.” You tell him.
Steve didn’t know what to say. He was completely heartbroken for you. He knows one thing for sure, he wants to kill HYDRA with his bare hands for what they did to his daughter.
“Sweetheart, I tried looking for you. I couldn’t find anything on you and I assumed you were- you know.” Steve says.
“You thought I was dead?” You asked.
Steve nodded.
“What kind of fucking parent thinks that his kid is dead?” You asked.
“I-I couldn’t find anything on you.” He says again.
You shook your head and scoffed. Tears were streaming down your face at this point. Steve stood up and walked over to you to give you a hug, but you backed away from him.
“Don’t fucking touch me!” You hissed.
Steve steps back, giving you some space. Both of you looked at the door when Fury walked in the room, along with an agent.
“I’m sorry, Rogers, but we have to take your daughter in.” Fury says.
The agent walked over to you with a pair of handcuffs. Steve steps between you and the agent.
“You are not putting my daughter in handcuffs.” Steve says.
“Captain Rogers, she hacked our servers.” The agent says.
“It was a huge misunderstanding. She didn’t mean to hack the servers. All she was trying to do was find out who her parents are and she found me.” He explains, looking at Fury.
Fury stares at Steve for a second before looking at you.
“Just make sure she doesn’t do it again.” Fury says.
Steve nods. Fury and the agent left the room, leaving you and Steve alone. Steve grabbed your backpack and got your phone and laptop back.
“I’m taking home.” Steve says.
“Oh, great.” You mumbled under your breath, wondering what your foster parents have to say about what kind of trouble you got into today.
“You’re not going back to the home you’re thinking. I’m taking you home with me.” He says.
———
PRESENT DAY
Ever since you and Steve reunited, you two haven’t been getting along. You’ve been getting into trouble, not listening, sneaking out, and testing your dad’s patience.
“Y/N, I told you to clean your room yesterday.” Steve says, looking around your messy bedroom.
“You tell me a lot of things.” You mumbled as you continued to scroll through your phone.
Steve snatched your phone, getting your attention.
“That’s mine!” You whined, trying to reach for your phone.
“You can have it back after you clean your room.” He says.
You groaned loudly as he left your room. You took a look around your room. You’ll admit that it’s messy. You just didn’t know that you let it get this bad. You put your dirty clothes in the laundry basket, threw away whatever trash you had in your room, and organized your bedroom. When you were done cleaning your room, you went to your dad to get your phone back.
“I’m done cleaning my room. Can I have my-” The words died on your tongue when you seen your uncle Bucky for the first time in years. “Uncle Bucky?” You almost whispered.
“Doll?” Bucky almost whispers.
You ran over to Bucky, hugging him tightly. Tears filled both your eyes and Bucky’s eyes.
“You’re alive.” You say.
“So are you.” Bucky says.
Bucky let go of you and took a step back, smiling at how grown up you are.
“You’re so grown up.” He says, making you smile.
Steve smiles at the cute uncle and niece moment happening in front of him.
“Did you clean your whole room?” Steve asks.
“Yes I did.” You groaned.
Steve stared at you for a second, making sure you’re not lying. He always knows when you’re lying. He gave you your phone back. You snatched it from his hand and left the room. Bucky frowns as he watches the interaction between you and your dad.
“What’s going on between you and Y/N?” Bucky asks.
“We haven’t been getting along.” Steve answers.
“Why?” Bucky asks.
“I don’t know. She won’t tell me anything. It’s like she hates me.” Steve says.
“She doesn’t hate you, man.” Bucky says softly, putting a comforting hand on Steve’s shoulder.
“Can you talk to her and get her to open up?” Steve asks.
“Of course! I love talking to my niece!” Bucky smiles.
Bucky goes to your room and knocks on the door.
“Who is it?” You asked.
“It’s uncle Bucky. Can I come in?” Bucky asks.
“Yes.” You replied.
Bucky opens the door and walks in your room. He takes a look around your room, seeing stuff a teenager might have in their bedroom.
“Did my dad send you up here to talk to me?” You asked.
“Yes, but I wanted to talk to my favorite niece and goddaughter.” He says with a smile.
“I’m your only niece and goddaughter, uncle Bucky.” You say with a small giggle.
“Point made.” He chuckles.
You sat up against the headboard of your bed and Bucky sat down in front of you.
“What’s going on between you and your dad, doll?” He asks softly.
You shrugged your shoulders and fiddled with your fingers.
“I need a better answer than a shoulder shrug, kiddo.” He says.
“My dad abandoned me and my mom when he went to the Army and he lied about coming home.” You tell him.
“Your dad didn’t abandon you and he didn’t lie.” He says.
“Yes he did.” You said. “It’s like he didn’t want me.” You say.
“Don’t say that, doll.” He almost whispers. “He loves being your dad.” He says softly.
“He sure as hell doesn’t show it. He thought I was dead when he came out of the ice. What kind of parent thinks that his only child is dead?” You say.
“I’m sure he tried his hardest to look for you.” He says.
You shook your head no, refusing to believe it. Bucky seen your eyes tear up.
“Give him a break, doll. He’s trying, but you’re making it hard for him.” Bucky says.
“He’s not trying. He’s not even trying to love me.” You say, your voice cracking.
Tears started to roll down your cheeks. Bucky moved closer to you and wrapped his arms around you.
“Your dad loves you more than anything, doll.” Bucky whispers.
“No he doesn’t. He makes me feel unloved.” You say.
It broke Bucky’s heart to hear you say that.
“Come with me.” He says, standing up.
“Where are we going?” You asked with a sniffle.
“You’re going to talk to Sam. He’s trained for stuff like what you went through.” He says.
“Will you stay with me?” You asked.
“Of course, doll.” He smiles.
———
You are now sitting in the conference room with Bucky and Sam. Bucky told Sam the basics of your feelings towards your dad.
“What makes you think your dad abandoned you when you were a baby?” Sam asks.
“He promised me and my mom he would come home, but he didn’t. He lied.” You say.
“Y/N, you have to understand that nothing was in your dad’s hands back then.” He says.
You nodded and fiddled with your fingers. Your eyes teared up and a tear rolled down your cheek. Bucky put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“What are you thinking right now?” Sam asks softly.
“My dad doesn’t love me.” You say, your voice cracking.
“Yes he does, Y/N.” He says.
“No he doesn’t.” You said in a shaky voice. “Why would he love me if he thought I was dead when he came out of the ice?” You asked.
“He told me he looked all over the place for you, but he kept hitting dead ends. He didn’t want to come to terms if you were dead or not. That seems like love to me.” He says.
You went silent. If that’s true, then why don’t you feel loved by him?
“You need to talk to your dad and tell him how you feel.” Bucky chimes in.
“Do I have to?” You asked, looking at Bucky.
“Yes.” He says.
“Will you stay with me while I talk to him?” You asked.
“This is something you need to do on your own, doll.” He says softly.
“Ok.” You whispered.
Bucky gave you a kiss on the side of your head. You stood up and went to find your dad. You found him in the lounge room, reading a newspaper.
“Dad?” You say nervously.
Steve was caught off guard when you called him dad. Ever since that day at SHIELD, you’ve been addressing him as Steve, not dad. He put his newspaper down and looked at you.
“Can we talk?” You asked.
“Of course we can, sweetheart.” Steve replies softly.
You sat down next to him on the couch.
“I always thought you abandoned me when you enlisted in the Army years ago.” You admitted.
“Why would you even think that that?” He asks. “I would never abandon you.” He says.
“It feels like you did. I also feel unloved by you because of that.” You say.
“Never say that again! I love you more than anything.” He says.
“You don’t show it!” You rose your voice at him and stood up. “You have no idea how unloved I feel, especially when I was in foster care! The couple who adopted me didn’t even know me, but they loved me way more than you ever could!” You say, your eyes tearing up.
You didn’t miss the way your dad clenched his jaw. He stood up. You had a feeling he was going to yell at you for raising your voice at him.
“Do you want to know what my first thought was when I came out of the ice?” Steve asks. “I thought of you and your mom. I looked all over for both of you. I found out your mom died and I couldn’t find you. I tried to think of ways to find you, but I hit a dead end with every idea that came to my mind.” He tells you.
“You thought I was dead!” You say.
“I almost lost Bucky. I lost my wife. I thought I lost you too.” He says.
You stared up at your dad with teary eyes. You were so pissed off at him that you completely forgot that he lost your mom and almost lost his best friend.
“I never want you to say I abandoned you and I don’t love you again. I did nothing but love you since the day you were born.” Steve says softly.
“You- You promised you would come home, but you didn’t! You broke a promise to me and mom!” You cried.
At this point, tears were streaming down your face. Your knees went weak and gave out under you. Steve caught you before you fell to the floor and guided you over to the couch, sitting you down. He sat down next to you. Now, you’re full on crying and so is your dad. Steve’s heart shattered into a million pieces. He hates see you cry and so upset.
“I am so sorry, princess. If I could go back in time and change how things were back then, I would.” He says through tears.
“I’m the one who should be apologizing. I was so pissed at you that I never thought about what you lost and almost lost. I’m sorry for being a shitty daughter.” You apologized.
“You’re not a shitty daughter, sweetheart. Neither of us could’ve predicted what we went through was going to happen.” He says.
You wanted to say more, but you just continued to cry in your dad’s arms. It’s like being held by your dad for the first time in years made all the anger inside of you fade away. Steve felt guilt bubbling up inside of him even more because of what HYDRA did to his daughter. He can’t go back to the past to fix that. What he can do is never leave his baby again. That’s a promise he’ll never break again.
“I’m never leaving you again, sweetheart. I promise.” Steve promises.
You nodded and sniffled. Yours and his cries stopped after a few minutes.
“I love you, princess.” Steve whispers, kissing the top of your head.
“I love you too, dad.” You whispered back.
“I’ll do anything to make it up to you.” He says softly.
“Anything?” You looked up at him and he nodded. “Can we go to Coney Island?” You asked.
“Of course we can.” He smiles.
Bucky poked his head in the room when he heard Coney Island.
“I swear I wasn’t listening. All I heard was Coney Island.” Bucky says, making you and Steve laugh.
From that moment forward, you and your dad did everything you guys could to repair yours and his father daughter relationship. Yes, you two let Bucky go to Coney Island with you guys. It was the best day all of you had in years.

Would you be down for writing some Scarlett x teen daughter comfort?
Without a Place | Scarlett Johansson x teenage daughter reader!

୨ৎSummary: You always knew you were just the echo of a love gone. Not quite yours, not quite yours; just caught in the middle.
୨ৎContent warning: depression, self-harm, emotional neglect, maternal comfort.
୨ৎWord count: 1299 words
୨ৎNote:Thanks for the idea, and sorry for the delay in writing. I hope you like how it turned out. ♡︎
You had almost completely stopped talking. Words got stuck between your thoughts, as if they were afraid to come out. You thought too much. You thought about what you were. About what you no longer were. About how everything seemed to move forward without you.
Scarlett had noticed it months ago. Small signs at first, almost invisible to others: the full plate you left untouched, the days you didn’t want to come down for breakfast, entire afternoons locked in your room with the door closed. You no longer laughed. You didn’t complain when Rose, your little sister, took the remote control to watch her favorite cartoons. You just curled up on the couch, into yourself, as if you were falling apart inside.
Scarlett, your mother, felt it with every fiber of her being. Even if you said nothing, even if you whispered in the softest voice, “I’m fine, Mom,” she knew you weren’t. She knew the day she had to cancel a whole scene because she couldn’t concentrate on set. She sat in front of the dressing room mirror for over an hour, thinking about you. Thinking about how you felt displaced. About how it hurt you not to be Colin Jost’s daughter—the man she now shared her life with and Rose’s father. Even though she always made it clear that nothing changed for her, you couldn’t help feeling like you were on the sidelines, out of the picture.
You were Ryan Reynolds’ daughter, from a love that was no longer there, and sometimes it felt like an invisible mark that separated you. Scarlett saw it in your eyes when you watched Rose play with Colin, in how you quietly withdrew. She knew you felt excluded, even if you never said it.
When she took you to therapy for the first time, it was like opening a door you had locked for years. You didn’t want to go, you cried, you said it was useless, that you didn’t want to talk to a stranger about how you felt. But Scarlett didn’t let you fall. She took your hand with a gentle strength, a strength that said, “I’m here for you.” And she kept her promise.
She went with you to every appointment. She would go in with you or wait outside, always present, always attentive. She canceled interviews, rescheduled scenes, even missed lunches with Colin just to be there, to support you. You knew you made her life harder, but she never made you feel like a burden. Never.
One rainy afternoon, while driving to the psychologist, the silence was so heavy you could almost hear your own thoughts. Scarlett drove carefully, her eyes focused on the road, but every now and then she glanced at you. You rested your head against the window, feeling the cold glass, lost in a sea of thoughts you didn’t want to share.
“Did you have breakfast today?” she asked softly, without looking at you.
You tensed, as if the question had pierced your chest. You didn’t answer, but your silence was enough. Scarlett sighed, without pressure, just love.
“I’m not scolding you,” she continued, “I just want your body to be strong. You already have enough to fight inside.”
You knew what she meant. She noticed it in the looks she gave you when you left food on the table, in how you avoided the mirror, in the nights you couldn’t sleep because your mind wouldn’t let you. Sometimes you didn’t eat. Not because you wanted to, but because you felt your body wasn’t a safe place. Scarlett had discovered this slowly, and it hurt her, but she didn’t pressure you. She was there, simply to hold you up.
The house, however, went on as usual for everyone else. Rose, barely seven, filled every corner with her laughter and energy. Colin, kind and patient though he was, couldn’t fully understand the storm that consumed you. And you felt trapped in that limbo, daughter of two people who no longer loved each other, but not fully belonging to either of their worlds. Scarlett was your refuge, yes, but even she had to divide her time, and sometimes that made you feel even more alone.
On your birthday, the house was full of people, lights, and laughter, but the attention wasn’t on you. In the center of the room, Rose, barely seven, sat on your lap, laughing and playing with the balloons. You wanted to blow out your birthday candles, you wanted that small moment for yourself, to feel seen and celebrated, but the relatives, enchanted by the little one, insisted it be Rose’s moment.
“She’s the youngest, come on, let her have her moment,” they said with smiles that hurt you.
Rose blew out the candles while everyone applauded and admired how adorable she was, and you could only smile weakly, feeling yourself fade a little more into the crowd. Then you got up quietly, leaving Rose in another aunt’s lap, and went back to your room.
You closed the door carefully so no noise was heard and sank into the bed, letting the sadness wrap around you. From outside, you could hear the laughter and conversations revolving around Rose, the little one who absorbed all the attention and affection. And although you loved your sister, you couldn’t help but feel that day wasn’t for you.
The silence in your room seemed to embrace you, but also reminded you how lonely you felt. The soft light from the lamp illuminated the corner where you had left your untouched cake. You wanted to get up, blow out the candles, but the weight on your chest wouldn’t let you.
Minutes passed that felt endless until you heard soft footsteps in the hallway. The door opened slowly and Scarlett appeared, her face marked by worry and tiredness.
“Do you want some company?” she asked in the sweetest voice you’d heard in days.
Without answering, you moved to make room, and she sat beside you, taking your hand tenderly.
“I don’t care if I have to give up everything,” Scarlett whispered, her voice broken, “I don’t care if I never return to a set again in my life. The only thing that matters to me is you. You’re my daughter. No one will replace you. Not Colin. Not anyone. You’re part of me. Since the day you were born. And I won’t lose you.”
The tears you had held back spilled uncontrollably. Scarlett hugged you tightly, as if she wanted to protect you from the whole world.
“You don’t have to do this alone,” she whispered. “I’m here. Always.”
The following days were a mix of small steps forward and setbacks. Some mornings you could look in the mirror without hate; other days you just wanted to disappear. Scarlett never pressured you, she only offered you her hand, her time, her love.
There were moments when you went for walks together, without words, just sharing the city’s silence, the fresh air that seemed to ease a bit of the weight inside you. Other times, Scarlett read you your favorite books, trying to make you smile, reminding you of the girl still alive inside you, even if you felt lost.
One night, while watching an old movie on the couch, Rose slept in Scarlett’s lap, and you, for the first time in a long time, felt like you could breathe a little freer.
You knew it wouldn’t be easy or fast, but with Scarlett by your side, you began to understand that healing was possible. That no matter how dark the night seemed, there would always be a dawn waiting for you.
And although the shadow of loneliness had been your companion, you were learning to let your mother’s love be the light that guided you home.

Nighttime Troubles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Y/N having trouble sleeping with out their dad while their other parents try to calm them down and get Tony back in bed.
Note: Gn!Reader, around 3 years old. Yes Soap is the name of her sheep plushie, because i love my Soapie to much and he needed to be in my story.
Art/picture is from Pinterest, credits go to whoever made it. I just put it together like this.
Translations: Dorogoy = Sweetheart (And expensive, for some reason, if you know why this is please tell me. Translate is weird.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N was having a rough couple of nights, the nightmares they had were getting too much for their little mind. Feeling so many big feelings and seeing scary things in their dreams. This didn’t bother the Avengers however, they all loved the little koala. Their koala was a bit of all of them. Their little miracle in life, their light. After defeating Loki everything went pretty fast for the Avengers and just 2 years later they got married, all 6 of them (Tony bribed the minister and the person that would approve the paperwork) and in 2015 their little koala was born.
Natasha was walking Y/N around the master bedroom, shushing them as she bounced them a bit in her arms. “shhhh, Dorogoy, it’s okay momma is here. No more nightmares, shhh.” She whispered to the little one as Thor came back into the room with a few extra plushies from Y/N’s room. “I didn’t know which one they would want, so i got them all.” Clint laughed a bit and grabbed the little sheep plushie from the stack in Thor’s arm. “This one, Soap, remember this one Thor. Soap is the favorite.” Natasha rolled her eyes and kissed Y/N’s cheeks.
After a few minutes Steve was done warming up Y/N’s bottle and quickly made his way back to the bedroom. “Any progress?” He asked worriedly as he handed Natasha the bottle. “No, not yet, Bruce is still trying to get Tony to come to bed, but he’s probably dealing with his own nightmares.” Clint answered. They all knew that Y/N slept the best between Bruce and Tony. Probably because they liked being in a science sandwich and Bruce and Tony were the warmest out of the parents. Natasha yawned as she sat down on the bed with Y/N. “Thor? Do you still have that story book somewhere? that one with both folktales and fairytales?” She asked, hoping that reading to Y/N would calm them down.
“Yes! I’ll grab it and read to the little one!” Thor cheered as he walked over to the book shelf and grabbed the book Natasha mentioned. He went to the bed and sat next to Natasha and Y/N before starting to read in the soft tone he only used with Y/N. “This one is called ‘The Forest Bride’. There was once a farmer who had three sons,” Thor read to Y/N, and secretly Natasha. Y/N wasn't crying anymore as they suckled on their bottle while listening to Thor reading their favorite story.
Steve and Clint smiled at the three of them on the bed. “I’ll go check on Bruce and Tony.” Steve said before stepping away from Clint. Sadly Steve jinxed it, Bruce walked into the bedroom. Clint gave Bruce a worried look and opened his arms for him. Bruce walked defeated into Clint’s arms. “I tried, he just won’t listen to me right now. He’s scared to go to bed and then hurt Y/N if he wakes up” Bruce explained quietly. Steve sighed. “I'm going to talk to him, this is the biggest load of bull shit i’ve ever heard, and that is saying a lot.” he fumed before leaving the bedroom.
Bruce looked over at the bed and saw Natasha asleep against Thor with Y/N on her lap. Thor was still reading the story to their koala. Clint looked down at Bruce. “Wanna go sit with them?” Bruce nodded and Clint smiled as he helped Bruce to the bed. He made sure Natasha, Bruce and Y/N were okay with Thor, who was now happily reading the next story in the book, before following after Steve.
When Clint was close to the lab he could hear Steve and Tony yelling at each other. He walked around the corner and saw Tony tinkering on one of his suites while Steve yelled from Bruce’s desk.
“Just don’t Steve, just don’t, okay? I am not going to bed!” Tony hissed as he slammed down his screwdriver. “No, I won't let you stay up like this. You have to sleep, you need sleep to function. How are you supposed to take care of yourself or Y/N if you are not sleeping, not well rested. You know it's safe in the bedroom, you know you won’t hurt us or Y/N. You know damn well that you are just running away right now!” Before Steve could say more Clint put a hand on his back and gave him a look.
Tony looked over at Steve when he didn’t continue his rant. He saw Clint by Steve's side, he let out a big sigh before responding. “I think I know my own health better than you do Star Spangled Banner. Now leave me alone! I do not need this! I do not need sleep. I do not need you, or anyone else to take care of me! I am fine!” He yelled at both his husbands. He didn’t need them, didn't need to be told he wasn't actually doing fine, but even with a few years of therapy and loving partners, Tony could still fall back into old habits.
Clint tried to reach out for Tony, tried to tell him he was wrong but yelling came from the hallway before he could. A very angry Natasha, followed by Thor and Bruce came Into the lab. Y/N in her arms. “Anthony Edward Stark! Hold your child!” She hissed before handing Y/N over to Tony. Y/N reached out for Tony and he reluctantly took them from Natasha. “Daddy…” Y/N whispered into Tony's shoulder. This broke Tony a bit, not just a bit, but more than he liked to admit.
“I… I think I might need some help… And Someone to take care of me and take me too bed…” Tony admits as he held the little koala. Natasha smiled and grabbed onto Tony's arms. “Let's get you two to bed. Thor will continue his story and you two can cuddle with Bruce. We'll deal with the rest tomorrow” Natasha said before leading Tony away from his work.
Soon after both Y/N and Tony were on the big bed. Thor reads more of his stories to Y/N, and the others. As Bruce held Tony close with Y/N in between their science sandwich. Y/N was already fast asleep when Thor finished the first story. With Natasha following shortly after. Clint was the next one to fall asleep, somewhere between story three and four, happily in Steve’s arms. Thor fell asleep while reading after Steve fell asleep. But Tony stayed awake, like Bruce. Him keeping an eye on Tony.
“Want to talk about it?” Bruce asked Tony, he was worried. “Not right now. Is that okay? we will talk about this later?” Tony answered to which Bruce pulled him closer, letting Tony be the little spoon. “Yeah, that is okay. But we are going to talk about this, because we are worried and want to help you, because we love you. Just like we love this little koala.” Bruce said before fixing Y/N’s hair a bit. “Just let us help you like you always want to help them.” Tony nodded his head slowly before kissing Y/N’s head. “We’ll talk after I slept for more than 6 hours.”
“Just close your eyes” Bruce whispered before he felt a small kick against his back. “Go to sleep” Steve whisper yelled tiredly. Y/N hugged Tony’s arm and snored a bit as Bruce and Tony finally closed their eyes to sleep.
<--------------------------------------------------------->
Somewhere in the middle of the night Soap, the sheep plushie, fell out of the bed. This was quickly noticed by Y/N who started to wiggle out of the science sandwich. they crawled to the end of the bed and reached over the end towards Soap. they almost had the plushie before losing balance. With a small thud they fell off the bed and hit their bum on the floor.
Loud crying woke everyone but Clint, he didn’t wake up since he didn't have his hearing aid on. Yes he forgot to take them out after falling asleep next to Thor and the battery was now dead. Steve was the first to get to Y/N he picked up the little one and the sheep. “shhh, baby doll, it’s okay. Daddy is here, shhh, you’re safe in daddy’s arms.” Steve whispered to Y/N. Thor shifted over to Steve and Y/N and carefully took them from Steve. He gently put Y/N underneath his nightshirt and held them and Soap against his chest.
Thor always thought Y/N was given extra sensitive and given bigger emotions by the gods then normal people, or Asgardians. They were he’s sensitive little angel, who needed a lot of touch to feel safe and deal with the big emotions and feelings. “There we go little poptart. Nice and warm with pappa, no one can hurt you here.” Thor rubbed Y/N’s back as he took them back to the bed. Steve smiled at Thor and how comfortable Y/N looked against him. “Owh look at you, are you comfy with pappa?” Natasha asked the sleepy toddler when Thor lay down next to her. Y/N nodded their head and stuck their thumb into their mouth.
“So no need for a science sandwich anymore I see. Well i'll be back in the lab if you all need me” Tony announced and tried to walk past Bruce and Steve. Only for Steve to grab Tony by his shirt collar and pulls him back towards him and Bruce. “You need sleep, Tony. Back in bed.” Steve said in a stern but caring tone. “Or what?” Tony tried. “Or I will lock the lab and you won’t be able to go in until we think you can go in again. No more new Ironman suites or weird nicknacks. No more Peter Parker coming over for his ‘internship’.” Steve answered. The thing about not doing fun science things with Peter did it and Tony walked back to the bed. Tony liked (Loved) Peter too much, some might say he was his son.
Bruce and Steve made it back to the bed and lay down besides the others. Y/N was already fast asleep again underneath Thor’s shirt. Clint was still asleep and snoring as Natasha cuddled up to him. The others pulled the covers back up and snuggled up before going back to sleep. Tony did try to sneak out of bed again once when he thought everyone was sleeping. only for Steve to pull Tony back onto the bed and hold him against him.

But If you have an interest in baking, Jeff will most definitely try his best to help you! Have any other interests? He'll be there to help you!
⋆.˚ ★—since your young and reed and sue are quite protective of you. She also wasn't very happy when she found out they had bought you a LION. And that they had brought it to YOUR home for YOU to pet and love. Reed thought it was a little funny but he also thought it was immature and stupid for Ben and Johnny to do. Sue was pissed. She thought, had the lion not been properly trained or the lion just Decided to hurt you, she wouldn't have you anymore. and that thought scared her to her core.
⋆.˚ ★—she trusted Ben and Johnny not to do anything stupid yet this had happened. She just wanted you out of harm, they understood that and apologized quickly. You were also sorry since you had asked them to get you a lion(although you didn't actually think they'd do it-) sue and reed were fine with you wanting one and asking for said lion, they don't blame you for wanting one. We're a Family
Summary: You and Natasha are taking your first vacation since the birth of your 5-year-old daughter. While you and Natasha are off on a romantic getaway to Paris for your anniversary, how will your Avengers family handle watching your daughter for the weekend?
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Genre: Fluff, Comfort, Romance
Word Count: 4.3k
Warnings: Some mentions of grief.
A/N: Thank you so much for the positive feedback on Come Home to Me! I hope to keep writing as I feel inspired and have time. This story takes place after the events of Endgame. Tony survived defeating Thanos with the Snap, and Steve brought Natasha back after returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Natasha questioned for the third time that Friday morning as you gathered the last essentials for your 5-year-old daughter to take to the Avengers Compound. You and Nat were taking your first vacation together since your child's birth in celebration of your wedding anniversary. Understandably, your wife was struggling with the idea of leaving your daughter. It was all you could do to convince Natasha to drop her off at preschool, let alone leave her overnight.
“Love, we’ve talked about this. It’s only for the weekend. Mila is going to have a great time. Besides, there is nowhere safer for her than surrounded by Avengers. You trust them with your life,” you remind her reassuringly as you rub gentle circles on her back.
“Exactly. My life, not my child,” Nat muttered.
It had been five years since you gave birth to your and Natasha’s daughter. Your whole world changed from the moment you both laid eyes on her. Soon after, Nat transitioned into semi-retirement with guidance from Clint. She was still available for consultation and recruit training or if the situation was dire, but you and Mila are her number one priority now.
You heard little feet padding down the hall as your daughter entered your bedroom. Her red curls bounced up and down on her head. “I'm ready, Mommy and Mama!” Mila squealed.
“Oh, Moya Lyubov, you look so pretty! Did you dress yourself this morning?” Natasha asked, getting down to her level.
“Yes! I wanted to match Auntie Yelena!” as she showed off her mini black vest that Yelena made her for her last birthday, worn expertly over her pink tutu.
“Auntie Yelena is going to love it, sweetheart. You’re going to have so much fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” you said, hugging her tight.
After packing your luggage in the car, you drive to the compound. FRIDAY greets you as you exit the main elevator. “Good morning, Ms. Romanoff, Ms. Y/L/N.” The team is awaiting your arrival in the common room.”
“Thank you, FRIDAY,” you replied as Mila let go of Natasha’s hand and ran ahead of both of you, having been here several times already in her young life.
As you enter the room, you see Wanda and Vision in the kitchen, and the smell of freshly baked cookies wafts through the air. Peter and Kate are playing video games, Bucky and Sam are playing cards with Clint, and Steve is quietly reading Moby Dick.
“Little spider!” Yelena called out as she entered the room, and Mila ran into her arms.
“Auntie Yelena! Do you like my outfit? I got dressed all by myself!”
“I love it, malayshka. It's so much cooler than Mama’s outfit,” Yelena says as she side-eyes her older sister with a smile. “We are going to have so much fun this weekend.”
“Yeah, about that,” Natasha interrupted. “Mission briefing in five.”
Mission briefing?" you asked, confused. "Nat, we're going on vacation, not a stakeout.”
“Yes, but they have the most important mission of all, watching our daughter,” motioning to the group before you.
Your heart warms at how protective your wife was—the Black Widow. She was a woman who would run into a collapsing building or intercept an alien invasion without batting an eye, but the moment she became a mother, everything changed. She vowed to give Mila everything she never had as a child. To break the cycle of uncertainty and pain that the Red Room forced upon her. Truthfully, you were so proud of how far Natasha had come. From growing up believing love was for children to giving nothing but love to both of you.
The living room came alive with spirited debate as Tony and Bruce burst through the door. Their voices layered with excitement and frustration over their latest nanotech calculations. Pepper trailed closely behind, an amused smile playing on her lips.
“Hey, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, park it,” Natasha declared.
“Ah, Rushman, wonderful to see you as always,” Tony says, winking at Nat. She rolled her eyes in response as Tony and Bruce hugged you before sitting down, and Pepper picked up your daughter.
“Come on sweetie, do you want to go play with Morgan?” Pepper asked.
“Yay!” Mila cheered as they walk down the hall to Morgan’s room.
“Okay, here are some quick dos and don’ts for this weekend. No guns, no repulsor rays, no arrows, and no using our daughter as a beta test subject for any new experiments. When Thor gets here, no Asgardian beverages in front of our child. Mila’s bedtime is 7 pm, and she likes it if you do the characters' voices when you read her bedtime story. If she has trouble falling asleep, a lullaby usually does the trick. Got it?”
“Geez, this is almost as bad as Budapest,” Clint whispered to Kate.
“It’s going to be alright, Natasha,” Wanda reassured. “We’re a family. You know we would do anything for that little girl. Please, go and enjoy your anniversary. No one deserves some special alone time more than you two,” Wanda said, as she hands you a tin of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for the trip.
You put your arm around Natasha and kiss her cheek. “Wanda is right, my love. Mila will be fine.”
Just as you complete the sentence, Mila runs back into the room. “Mommy, Mama! Morgan has Puss and Boots: The Last Wish, and we will watch it tonight before bedtime.”
“That sounds like so much fun, sweetheart! I know you will be a good girl for your aunts and uncles, and Mommy and Mama will see you on Sunday night, okay? We love you so much.” you said.
“Okay, Mommy. I love you!” She said as she hugged you so tight. Natasha knelt to kiss your daughter on the cheek and squeezed her hand three times. Their unique way of saying I love you. After one last hug and kiss, you walk to the Quinjet. Tony had offered one for easy and convenient travel.
*^~^*
By the time you arrive at your hotel in Paris, it’s almost dinner time. After sightseeing, you two enjoyed a gourmet candlelit dinner under the Parisian moon and a romantic stroll under the stars. When you returned to your room, you received a text message from Clint with a photo of your daughter asleep on her bed—lovingly cuddled under a blanket with Yelena.
“See, she’s okay,” you said lovingly as Natasha smiled at the picture of her little girl and her little sister.
As you lay in bed that night, you feel more grateful than ever to be here with the love of your life. Both of you had learned firsthand to never take anything for granted.
You were one of the lost souls left behind after the Blip. Struggling with the loss of your loved ones, you began attending Steve’s Brooklyn Support Group once a week. It was after one of those meetings that you were first introduced to the Black Widow.
Natasha hesitated at first to let anyone in. She was too scared to lose anyone else and was convinced that nothing should take away from her commitment to bring everyone back. However, she still found any excuse to attend Steve’s meetings. Whether that was to bring homemade peanut butter sandwiches for the snack table or shyly offering to give you a ride home.
You weren’t a hero or a super soldier. You didn’t remind Natasha of the guilt she carried over the last five years as the fallout from the Blip continued. You were just yourself, which Natasha loved the most about you. You began to visit her at the compound, and slowly but surely, the walls came down for both of you.
When she told you about the Time Heist, you didn’t want to hear it. You couldn’t comprehend the thought of losing Natasha, but you knew she believed in her heart that she owed it to everyone they had lost to try. When Clint returned from Vormir alone and dropped to his knees, so did you. Grief overtook you all over again.
As the Battle for Earth became inevitable, the team hid you in a safe house off the grid. Days went by and you lost track of time, stuck in your grief and unaware of what was happening. It wasn't until a knock on your door awoke you in the middle of the night that you dropped to your knees again. This time in shock at the sight of Natasha on your doorstep. Tears streaming down her face, she told you they had won. Tony defeated Thanos with the Snap, and Steve performed a miracle by bringing her back upon returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
So much life has happened since then. You were married in a beautiful autumnal ceremony shortly after Nat returned and bought your house. Five years ago and twelve hours of labor later, you welcomed your daughter into the world that your wife sacrificed herself to save. You couldn’t believe how much you loved them both. Returning to the present moment, you gently move a strand of Natasha’s unbraided red hair away from her face. Her hands move effortlessly to the nape of your neck, and you lose yourself in her touch.
*^~^*
It’s Saturday morning back at the compound, and Mila is eating blueberry pancakes when Clint strolled in from his morning workout.
“Hey, squirt! Those pancakes look amazing. Did Auntie Wanda make those?” he asked, reaching for the extra plate of pancakes on the counter.
Before Mila can respond, the plate glides quickly away from him, enveloped in Wanda’s red magic. “Auntie Wanda did make those, but they’re only for adorable little girls named Mila. Is your name Mila?” Wanda said to Clint with a raised eyebrow.
“No,” Clint grumbled.
“Then make your breakfast, Hawkeye,” Wanda sighed, patting him on the back.
After breakfast, Sam and Bucky take Mila outside to play. Meanwhile, Steve is working on a mission report in his room when FRIDAY interrupts his concentration. “Mr. Rogers, I’m picking up an elevated heat signature from your shield just north of your location.” Steve looked curiously out the window to see Mila giggling as she slid across the grass. She is sitting on his overturned shield, pulled by a rope tied to the back of Red Wing.
“My shield is not a toy!” Steve yelled out the window.
“Oh, hey, Cap! It does make a great sled, doesn’t it?” Bucky answered, pretending not to hear what his best friend said, as Sam laughed out loud.
Steve shakes his head to hide his smile. You meant the world to him, having spent countless hours processing your grief together in that dark and dank recreation room in Brooklyn. He was honored when you and Natasha asked him to be Mila’s godfather. His shield was made from Vibranium, after all. If his goddaughter wanted to play with it, he knew no harm would be done.
That afternoon, Peter arrived at the compound to work on his newest suit upgrade with Tony. Mila is engrossed in coloring at the kitchen table with Auntie Kate when Peter walks in to get a soda.
“Hey Mila, what are you up to?”
“Coloring, do you want to help us?” Mila asked happily.
Peter nodded, and they got lost in her Disney Princess coloring book for the next twenty minutes. After adding pretty sparkles to Elsa’s Frozen dress, Mila noticed Peter’s Spider-Man suit sticking out of his bag.
“Pretty!” Mila said with wide eyes.
“You like it?” Peter asked.
“Yes, is this how you fly? Mama says you can fly!” Mila exclaimed.
“Something like that,” Peter chuckled and tousled her hair.
Down in the lab, Tony had been waiting for Peter to arrive for half an hour. Unusual, as his protege was typically annoyingly punctual. Running out of patience, Tony asks FRIDAY for Peter’s current location.
“Mr. Parker is in the kitchen with Ms. Bishop and the young Ms. Romanoff, sir.” Tony rolls his eyes as he trudged up the stairs.
“Hey Hawkette, have you seen Peter? He was supposed to — “
Tony stops as he sees Peter swinging from the ceiling with Mila on his back. Kate was too busy filming the spectacle on her phone to notice Tony standing there.
“Wee!! Faster, Uncle Peter!” Mila shouted as Peter’s web carried them across the room to the top of the bookcase.
Tony’s eyes follow the pair around the room. He put on his best poker face, “I won’t tell Romanoff or her better half, but if you break it, you pay for it. That includes the kid.” Tony warned.
“Sure thing, Mr. Stark,” Peter gives Tony a thumbs up.
“And for God’s sake, at least put some pillows down on the floor!” Tony hollered as he walked back to his lab.
*^~^*
You and Natasha took a Saturday evening cruise down the Seine River in the city of love. It was magical. When your phone alerted you to an incoming FaceTime from Carol, you had seen the Musée d’Orsay the Notre Dame Cathedral and had just reached the top of the Eiffel Tower. You swiped, her face appearing on the screen.
“Hey, you two, I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be on Earth-616 tomorrow for a meeting with Fury and thought I’d drop in on my favorite couple. Wait, where are you?”
“Paris, for our anniversary! Our first vacation alone in over five years. Can you believe it?” you said giddily as Natasha put her arms around your waist and lovingly kissed your cheek.
“Wow, that’s wonderful! Where’s your little mini-me?” Carol asked.
“With the team if you’re going there anyway, could you just make sure that everything is good with Mila?” Natasha inquired.
“Of course. You know you never have to ask.”
“Thank you, Carol,” you gratefully respond. We’ll be back tomorrow evening, so I’m sure we’ll see you then.” Carol gave you a mock salute before you ended the call and put your phone back in your coat pocket.
“You look so beautiful, dorogaya. After all this time, I still can't believe you’re mine.” Nat waxed poetically as she removed her scarf and wrapped it around your neck. Natasha could not look more beautiful in the glow of the Eiffel Tower. You decided this is the perfect moment to give her your anniversary gift. You slowly hand her the red velvet box you had snuck into your satchel. Her green eyes went wide at the sight of it.
“Detka! We said no gifts this year. This trip is gift enough,” Nat facetiously scolded.
“I know, but I still wanted to do something special for you,” you said sheepishly.
Natasha opens the box, revealing a simple, delicate gold heart locket necklace. Upon opening the pendant, she is greeted by a candid photo of all three of you. Clint took one during your last visit with his family in Iowa. Nat was sitting on Clint’s front porch with a smiling Mila on her lap. You are leaning behind her with your arms wrapped lovingly around her neck. It quickly became one of your favorite photos of your small yet precious family.
“This is so beautiful, Moya Lyubov. Can you put it on me?”
You moved Natasha’s braid away from her neck and clasped the necklace in the back. The heart locket fell directly on top of her own heart. It looked perfect on her. You're not sure who leaned in first, but your lips met in a kiss that made your stomach flutter like it was the first time. You couldn’t be happier than you were at that moment.

The Sunday morning sun was slowly breaking through the compound windows. Yelena was pouring your daughter a bowl of Cheerios and singing along to the sound of American Pie from her phone when The God of Thunder entered through the Bifrost. Mila jumped and started to hide behind her Auntie Yelena but ran toward him when she realized only her Uncle Thor was materializing before them, leaving his trademark on Pepper’s Persian rug.
“Must you do that every time? You’re becoming more of a poser than my sister.” Yelena remarked.
“Of course,” Thor said nonchalantly. “It is the only entrance fit for the God of Thunder.”
He lifted Mila with one arm, “Odin’s Beard! You’ve gotten so big since I last saw you, Mila,” Thor declared
“I know! Did you bring me a present Uncle Thor?” Mila squealed.
“Yes! Now, let’s see here… Asgardian Ale, Mead, no… ah, here it is!” He handed the little girl a small snow globe set in gold with her name engraved elegantly on the base.
“Wow. Pretty snow globe….” Mila whispered.
“It is indeed,” Thor said, sitting cross-legged on the carpet before the little girl. “This is a special Asgardian snow globe. Look, see the rainbow bridge inside it?” He pointed. “Most importantly, Lady Mila, if you shake it, I shall be there in a flash. If ever you need me, I will be there.”
“Thank you, Uncle Thor!” Mila said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. I’m going to show it to my Teddy Bear!” Running to her bedroom.
“You spoil her, you know,” Yelena stated with a smirk, as she began to clean up the kitchen.
“I know, but she is such a grand example of goodness and joy in such a tiny human. She deserves the world.” Thor declared.
Carol arrived shortly after lunch. After a short meeting with Fury in the conference room regarding upcoming mission targets, she finds your daughter in the compound courtyard. She is wearing her vest to match her favorite auntie as Yelena demonstrates the newest tricks Fanny has learned.
“Roll over! Good girl, Fanny!” Yelena praised the dog. Mila takes a treat out of her vest pockets with her tiny hand and tosses it to the Akita.
“Well done, Mila! Before you go home tonight, I will show you what else you can hide inside those pockets,” winking at her niece.
“Fruits and veggies, right, Yelena?” Carol deadpanned as Mila ran over and jumped into Captain Marvel’s arms.
“Auntie Carol! When did you get here?” Your daughter giggled.
“Just a little bit ago. I talked to your Mommy and Mama last night. They miss you and can’t wait to see you when they get home tonight,” Carol shared before kissing your daughter on the cheek.
*^~^*
As the sun started to sink on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the ancient city of Paris, you found yourself immersed in the rich history of the Louvre museum. You had eagerly anticipated this moment, and after spending the afternoon exploring the countless treasures within the museum's walls, Natasha was determined to ensure you had the chance to lay eyes on the iconic Mona Lisa. As you weaved your way through the bustling crowd of tourists, Natasha's determined presence caused a path to effortlessly clear before you as she kindly asked them to move the fuck over.
You returned to your hotel and enjoyed a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries when Natasha’s phone dinged.
Carol: Hey, lovebirds. It's all good here. Mila is doing great and excited to see you when you return. However, you may want to check her vest pockets when you get home for some “special” presents courtesy of Auntie Yelena. 😘
Natasha giggled, showing you the text.
“The important thing is that they’re bonding,” placing a delicate kiss on her temple.
Following Wanda’s delicious Chicken Paprikash dinner, your daughter watched Frozen II. Vision attempted to explain the science behind snowflakes to her when Tony strolled into the lounge.
“Hey, kiddo, do you want to come to the lab with me and see the new suit modifications that the Jolly Green Giant and I are working on?”
“Yay!” Mila said excitedly, jumping up and down.
“Sir, Ms. Romanoff indicated there was to be no experimenting with young Ms. Mila while she is in our care.”
“Relax, chrome dome. We’re just looking at the new holographic mockup.” Picking up Mila and carried her to his lab.
*^~^*
After a few hours, Natasha gracefully guided the Quinjet to a smooth landing. As the engines powered down, she took a deep breath and gently reached across the console to grasp your hand. Together, you gazed out at the glittering lights of the team living quarters in the distance.
"Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful," you said. "I love you so much. I know it was tough for you to leave Mila for three days, but not only did we have a beautiful anniversary, but our daughter got to spend meaningful time with her family, which she will always remember." You pressed a kiss to her knuckles as Natasha caressed your cheek.
You were right, dorogaya. This was perfect. I’m sorry I was so nervous about leaving her. I just never thought I would have my happily ever after. That little girl and you are my everything. It breaks my heart every time I leave either one of you.
“I know, my love,” you said quietly. “Now, let’s go get our daughter and go home.”
As you entered the compound, the air was filled with shouting and the excited barking of Fanny and Lucky. Natasha instinctively reached for her spare Widow Bites, but before she could react, both of you heard the unmistakable sound of your daughter's laughter. Following the noise, you entered the common room to find your daughter joyfully running through the compound. She was wearing her pajamas and had one of Tony’s Iron Man helmets perched on her head while clutching a can of whipped cream. Yelena and the rest of the team were in hot pursuit, with puffs of whipped cream trailing behind her as she raced through the room.
Kate skidded to a stop in front of both of you. “Oh, you guys are back. Awesome! Umm, we made ice cream sundaes for dessert. Mila enjoyed hers, as you can see”, Kate motioned, breathing heavily.
Mila took her last lap around the couch when she caught sight of you and Natasha.
“Mommy, Mama! You’re here!!” she squealed, running into Natasha’s arms.
“Hi, Moya Lyubov, we missed you so much!!” Natasha said as she wrapped Mila in a big hug before passing her to you to do the same.
“It looks like you had fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” removing the helmet and brush a red curl away from her eyes.
“I had so much fun, Mommy! I got to eat yummy food, ride a sled, fly, and Auntie Yelena helped me hide special treasures in my vest pockets. Oh, and I got a magic snow globe with my name on it!” Your daughter rambled happily.
Natasha looked at you slightly skeptical, wondering if your sweet little girl was exaggerating. With your family, you were never quite sure.
“Wow, that sounds amazing, kotyonok!” Are you ready to go home now?” Nat asked as Mila gives you her best puppy dog eyes.
“It’s okay sweetheart, we’ll come back and see everyone next weekend. Why don’t you go get your Teddy bear?” you suggested.
“I’ll help her with her things,” Yelena said, scooping up your daughter and walking to her bedroom.
“We can’t thank all of you enough for taking such good care of her. I know she would stay here forever if we let her.” You said as you move through the group hugging every one.
She is always welcome here, you two know that.” Wanda said, confident she was speaking for the entire team.
A short while later, Mila emerged with her unicorn backpack, followed by Yelena, carrying more bags than she had when you dropped her off. You couldn't help but shake your head, knowing the team had showered her with gifts. Natasha crouched down to Mila’s eye level, tenderly placing her hand on her back. “Can you say goodbye and thank you to all of your aunts and uncles, dorogaya?” she asked. Mila made her way around the room, hugging everyone. It warmed Natasha to witness her family showering your daughter with so much love and affection.
Mila drifted off to sleep only five minutes after being placed in her car seat. Upon returning home, Natasha carried her to her bed with the utmost care. She tenderly laid Mila down, ensuring she was tucked in snugly, and then, both of you gently kissed her forehead before quietly slipping out of the room. You decided to postpone the unpacking until the following day, feeling too exhausted from the long journey. In the bedroom, Natasha was sitting in bed, engrossed in a book with her reading glasses perched precariously on the edge of her nose. The day's fatigue faded as you turned off the bathroom light and joined her in bed.
“I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic anniversary, my love,” you admitted as you carefully removed her glasses from her face and gently kissed her lips. “But there is nowhere I would rather be than at home with you and our beautiful daughter.”
“I couldn’t agree more,” Nat said, returning the kiss.
As Natasha drifted into slumber, her mind wandered back to the tumultuous path that had brought her to this moment. She couldn't escape the memories of her past—a life of manipulation in the Red Room with no autonomy and the unending pursuit to cleanse her conscience of the bloodstains it bore. But then came the shot that Clint didn't take and the chance that Fury did. Her deeply unconventional yet cherished family culminated in the arrival of you and your precious daughter. In these precious bonds, Natasha Romanoff found the strength to thrive and, at long last, find peace.

Winterwidow baby perfecting her parkour skills (I.e climbing all over couch, table, hell even the kitchen) and scaring the living daylights out of her mama
Little Spy
WinterWidow x Daughter!reader
Summary: You can’t stop scaring Nat with all your little parkour tricks.
———
The Avengers Tower buzzed with activity as Bucky and Natasha tried to balance their duties as Avengers with the joys and challenges of parenthood. You were a ball of energy at two years old, with a mischievous streak that kept both your parents on their toes.
———
One particularly sunny afternoon, Natasha found herself in the kitchen, preparing snacks for the team. As she chopped vegetables, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. Glancing around, her eyes landed the fridge, and there, perched on the top of it, was you, grinning mischievously.
"Buck!" Natasha called out, her voice a mix of amusement and exasperation. "Come see what your daughter's up to now."
Bucky appeared in the doorway, a smirk playing on his lips as he took in the scene. "Looks like she's been perfecting her parkour skills again."
Natasha shook her head, trying to suppress a smile. "She's going to give me a heart attack one of these days."
Meanwhile, you, oblivious to your parents' concern, giggled as you leaped from the fridge to the countertop, then onto the kitchen table. "Look, Mama! I be like Peter!"
Natasha couldn't help herself from being impressed at her daughter's fearlessness but her heart was skipping a beat every time she watched you jumped from surface to surface. "You certainly are, sweetheart. But let's try to keep our feet on the ground, okay?"
Bucky scooped you up into his arms, chuckling as you wrapped your tiny arms around his neck. "You're quite the little spy, aren't you, babydoll?"
You nodded enthusiastically. "I spy with my little eye, Daddy!"
As Bucky carried you out of the kitchen, Natasha couldn't help but feel a surge of love for her little family. Despite the chaos and the constant surprises, she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. She shook her head with a smile and resumed with chopping the vegetables.
———
Later that evening, Bucky was lounging on the couch in the Avengers Tower common room, flipping through a book while sipping his coffee. Natasha sat across from him, tapping away on her laptop, her attention divided between her work and keeping an eye on you.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the room, followed by Natasha's exasperated sigh. Bucky looked up, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips as he spotted you perched precariously on top of the kitchen counter.
Natasha glanced up from her laptop, her eyes wide with alarm. "Y/N! How did you even get up there?"
You grinned with joy, your giggles flowing out of your mouth as you pointed to a nearby chair. "I climb, Mama!"
Bucky chuckled, setting his book aside. "She’s just like you, Nat."
Natasha shook her head, trying to hide her smile. "She's getting too sneaky!"
Bucky lifted you up from the counter, holding you securely in his arms. "She's just fearless, like her old man."
You giggled, wrapping your tiny arms around Bucky's neck again. "Daddy, watch me climb!"
Bucky grinned, lifting you higher. "Alright, let's see what you've got, babydoll."
You squirmed in excitement, wriggling out of Bucky's grasp and darting across the room. With the agility of what seemed to be from both your parents, you leaped onto the coffee table, then onto the back of the couch, and finishing on a table nearby.
Natasha gasped, her heart leaping into her throat as she watched your daring jumps. "Bucky, she's going to get hurt!"
But Bucky just laughed, his eyes sparkling with pride. "She's fine, Nat. Look at her go!"
You jumped off the table and onto the floor, your tiny feet landing perfectly onto it as you beamed up at your parents. "I did it! I spy like Mama and Daddy!"
Natasha let out a relieved sigh as Bucky gently lifted you back onto his hip. "You certainly are, sweetheart. But let's try to keep the climbing to a minimum, okay?"
You nodded in slight disappointment, it quickly disappeared though when Tony walked in with the takeout for the night, your eyes widened with excitement.
As Bucky sat you down in your hair chair at the Avengers dinner table, Natasha couldn't help but smile. Despite the constant chaos and danger that surrounded them, moments like these reminded her of just how interesting and exciting you were. And with Bucky by her side, she knew they could handle anything that you decided to throw their way.

it’s 2:14 pm when you spot tony in the crowd.
๑彡 platonic!tony stark x gender neutral!reader
๑彡 adopted child!au — mentions of kidnapping — fluff
๑彡 paragraph format — 0.7K words
masterlist
[gif’s full credit belongs solely to its owner]
๑彡 i don’t think i’ve ever projected this hard on any of my works before, but— my sincere apologies bc i made yn a college of engineering student, like i am *insert exhaling emoji here*
๑彡 if you think tony’s a little too ooc here . . . that’s bc he’s based on endgame!tony — specifically his dynamic with morgan :D
You, [full name], are the child of Tony Stark— the Tony Stark. Not biologically in any way, but treated like one nevertheless.
A blessing it might be to remember whenever you’re around your adoptive father and everyone close to him, it’s also a curse the media loves to remind you every chance they get. They are extremely selective about when they consider you a Stark — and it all depends on the narrative they want to push. Effectively, you’re only a Stark in their eyes whenever you do something they deem unbecoming of the name.
Your father Tony does his best to shield you from all the negative attention that comes with being his child. His efforts go beyond suing reporters and paparazzi to oblivion — and assigning shadow bodyguards to keep you safe. He gives you the freedom to live normally as well, which includes bestowing you another name that flies under the radar. [First name] Carbonell.
[First name] Carbonell who just decided to participate in their university’s hack-a-thon on a whim. Who didn’t even tell their dad where they disappeared to on a weekend. And who just got called onto the makeshift stage.
"Congratulations," your old Assembly Language Programming professor greets you as you shake his hand and accept the 3D-printed trophy he’s offering you.
So much for only attending for the free merch.
(You came for the workshops, too, of course. But it was never in your plan to code something, especially with a clock set so tight, let alone submit something for judging. It just kind of . . . happened.)
You give a small, polite smile. "Thank you."
Once more, the crowd roars with applause. However, this time, it’s accompanied by a familiar celebratory whistle. Dad.
You locate him just before the shutter clicks. Your winning photo immortalizes your genuine reaction to spotting your dad in the crowd.
You run to him immediately after descending from the makeshift stage. He catches you in an embrace. "Congratulations, [nickname]." You melt into the hug as he plants a kiss on top of your head. "I’m proud of you."
Truth be told, you never imagined that you two would reach this point. You were convinced that you were meant to die in fourth grade, when HYDRA kidnapped you as petty revenge to your SHIELD agent biological parents. It was only by pure luck that the Avengers found you when they did — especially when they weren’t even looking for you in the first place. Although it wasn’t Iron Man who found you first, you clung to Tony since then because he reminded you of your biological father the most.
Tony, for his part, as he later admitted to you during your junior year of high school, had been hesitant to take you in himself. He cared for you a lot, to the point that he had been convinced you deserved a better guardian than he could ever be. Yet, at the same time, the thought of never seeing you again was too much to bear.
The two of you had to figure things out along the way. And you’d like to think you have done well in doing your respective best.
"Thanks, Dad." You tighten your hold on him, unwilling to let go just yet. "Means a lot."
Later, when your dad had enough photos of you with your trophy in his phone, he takes you to a hamburger joint. He had denied your request to have donuts for lunch, but he did promise to get a couple dozen for dessert.
"How did you know I was on campus?" You ask as you unwrap more of your burger.
Your dad, who hasn’t peeled off his photostatic veil and stripped off his disguise, nonchalantly relies, "JARVIS tattled on you."
You stop mid-bite because of that. "Dad! You said you removed that protocol!"
"I did." His burger suddenly appears the most interesting thing to look at. "I just asked JARVIS where you were because I wanted to have lunch."
Your eyes soften. University has been . . . a lot. You haven’t been able to join your dad for meals, much less hang around his workshop like you always did when you were younger.
You thought nothing it, really. Partly because you’ve been too busy to think about it, but mostly because you assumed he wouldn’t care. After all, you still live with him — and you two see each other in the hallways every-so-often at midnight.
It never occurred to you that your dad will miss you, even when he still has everything keeping him occupied. "I miss you, too, you know."

Tired Eyes
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x daughter!reader
Summary: Natasha takes care of Romanoff!reader after a tiring mission
Warnings: None except bad writing, basic MCU stuff
Word Count: 500 ish, she's a short one
Steve gently shook you awake.
"N/N, we're about to land," He said.
You tiredly sat up and rubbed sleep out of your eyes, resting your head on your hand.
Your mission that day was tough, physically.
It was supposed to be relatively easy so only you, Steve, and Sam were sent on it.
A S.H.I.E.L.D member had been abducted and you three were tasked with retrieving them.
Compared to fighting aliens and taking down high status members of society, it wouldn't have been difficult.
You weren't aware that the soldiers at the base you were headed to had found out about your mission and upped their number of soldiers greatly.
You all managed to make it out with minimal injuries, and the abducted person alive and well.
But you were still exhausted.
You didn't have Steve's super soldier abilities or Sam's wings.
Your mother had taught you how to fight from a young age and you had a natural talent for it.
Even with your excellent skill and knowledge, you could only fight so many people.
The quinjet landed and you slowly exited it.
"You good, N/N?" Sam asked, resting a hand on your shoulder.
You nodded her head slightly.
Sam kept his arm around you as you walked back into the Avengers compound.
You and Sam parted ways and your tired eyes searched for your mother.
When you finally spotted her you briskly walked to your mother, crashing into her slightly when you got to her.
Natasha stumbled a little bit and wrapped her arms around her daughter.
"Hey, Y/N, you okay?" She asked, carefully inspecting you for injuries or bruises, only seeing a few tiny marks on your face.
"I'm okay," You whispered into your mother's shoulder, resting most of your body weight against her.
Natasha stood there for a minute with you in her arms and softly stroked your hair.
"Let's get you cleaned up so you can get some rest, okay?"
You nodded and followed your mother to your room.
Natasha went to get the first aid kit and other things from your bathroom while you sat down on the floor next to your bed, not wanting to sit on your bed with dirty clothes.
Natasha sat down in front of you and gently cleaned your face with a dampened washcloth.
You flinched slightly when Natasha went over a small cut on your cheek.
Natasha took a disinfectant wipe and cleaned the cut, careful not to hurt you.
She placed a band-aid over the cut and started putting the things back into the first aid kit.
"Are you too tired to take a shower?" Natasha asked.
You thought for a second before nodding.
"Okay, you should at least get changed before you sleep, though."
Natasha got up and went to get you some more comfortable clothes.
Your eyes were falling shut when Natasha walked back over to you.
"Baby, I know you're tired but you have to get changed."
"Help?" You asked quietly.
Natasha nodded understandingly and helped you get changed into comfier clothes.
You crawled into your bed while your mother went to throw your dirtied clothes in a laundry basket.
"Can you stay with me for a little bit?" You asked your mom.
Natasha smiled sweetly, "Of course I can."
She lay down next to you and you tiredly moved to rest your head on her chest.
The sound of your mother's heartbeat and breathing quickly lulled you to sleep.
Natasha waited a few minutes to make sure you were comfortable and asleep before falling asleep herself.

Accidents Happen
Warnings: hospitals, mentions of injuries, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Avengers x reader platonic
Request: Hi hi! Can you please do a avengers x little reader? R is 6 and maybe Natasha or peter drop her off at school but a few hours after school starts they get a call saying she had an accident and got injured badly. So the whole team shows up at the school to rush her to the Emergency room and the person who dropped R off feels really guilty but the R tells them it wasn't their fault (also could R be wise for her age?) Anyways thanks feel free to ignore this or change some things thank you!
Request by: Anon
*not my gif*
Summary: Nat blames herself for the accident you had at school that causes the entire team to rush to the hospital
A/N: I loved writing this
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
“Thank you, Nattie!” You called, scrambling out of the backseat and sending a wide, toothy grin to the redhead.
Natasha smiled at you fondly, “You’re welcome, n/n, have a good day.”
You closed the car door and turned on your heels hurrying towards the entrance, excited for school to start. The woman couldn’t help but chuckle, you’re the only kid she’s ever met that’s been happy to go learn, especially at six years old.
She watched from the car until the entrance door swung shut softly behind you before she put the car into drive once more and set off to begin her no doubt long day, though a soft smile still lingered on her lips from her interaction with you.
-•-
“Where the hell is she?”
“What’s going on?”
“Do you know who I am? I could have you fired with the snap of my fingers!”
“This place is full of so many puny humans, and yet not a single one of them is giving me a straight answer!”
The outraged roars of Earth’s mightiests heroes might not have been what anyone in the hospital was expecting in the middle of the day, but to be fair- they were beyond stressed and concerned. They had no idea what was going on, not really.
About fifteen minutes ago, Natasha had received a phone call from your school- her being your emergency contact- in the middle of a debrief with her teammates. The principal on the other side of the phone had been very vague as she informed the woman that she had been in an accident and was rushed in an ambulance to the nearest hospital, all but hanging up before Romanoff could fire off any one of the thousands of questions racing through her mind.
Chaos had followed that phone call, the avengers all scrambling around, trying to get to the hospital as quickly as possible with no real direction as to what was going on.
So now, they stood in the lobby, anger and worry etched onto each of their faces respectively as they swung around in circles, demanding answers from any of the many people working there.
Bucky and Thor both looked seconds away from lunging towards the closest doctor and shaking them until they gave them an explanation and to point them in your direction.
Tony was sneering at every person that passed, trying to intimidate them while Steve tried to ask questions as calmly as he could. Clint looked seconds away from diving through the doors dedicated to doctors only.
The only one that was silent was Natasha. She stood in the middle of the chaos with her arms pulled around her stomach, face paler than normal and looking as though she might be sick.
She had dropped you off this morning. She had been the one to leave you at that school without a second thought. How could she not realize that something would go wrong? She always had a sixth about that kind of stuff.
And now, because of her lack of realization, you were somewhere in this vast building, lying in a hospital bed, all alone- probably scared. And she didn’t even know if you were alright.
“Miss. Romanoff?”
The voice automatically silenced all of the avengers and they all whipped in the direction of it.
The doctor who spoke, to her credit, didn’t look the least bit intimidated at being stared down by the people, instead glanced down at her clipboard, “You’re here to see Y/n L/n, correct?”
Natashas head immediately bobbed up and down, moving forward, fear gripping her heart, “Is she okay?”
A sympathetic and reassuring smile appeared on the woman’s face, “She’s going to be fine,” She assured the group.
Everyone's muscles immediately loosened and Natahsa felt a shaky breath leave her lips as fear's grip loosened a bit on her heart.
“What happened?” Tony demanded, still not fully convinced.
With an incline of her head, the avengers all piled after the doctor as she led them through the workers only door, “She was in an accident at school. Apparently she had been trying to jump to the monkey bars at recess, but misjudged the distance and landed at the wrong angle on the metal pole of the jungle gym, hitting her head. She was knocked out, so the school called us. She has a concussion, but she’ll be fine in a few weeks if you take the proper precautions. We can discuss those later.”
There it was again, the fear and worry and guilt that was consuming the redheads entire being. She could tell by their reactions that her team was feeling the same.
“Right in here.” The doctor cast them one last smile before leaving them at the door of your room.
Immediately, Bucky all but threw the door open and everyone rushed in, crowding into the small room.
Natahsa pulled up short at the sight of you, lying in the hospital bed, looking smaller than normal surrounded by all the big equipment in the oversized bed.
You turned your head with wide eyes at the sound of footsteps, but relaxed into a smile when you saw who it was.
“Hi, guys,” You piped happily- as if nothing happened- but your voice was a bit weaker than normal.
“Oh, n/n,” Nat breathed out, immediately falling to your side, crouching down, grasping your hand in hers and squeezing it, “Are you okay?”
You nodded, smiling up at the woman, “I’m fine, my head just hurts.”
The woman frowned, smoothing back your hair from your forehead, “Do you need anything?”
Apparently, the team had caught onto Romanoffs feelings of guilt a while ago, because they exited the room at that moment, knowing that they should give her some space with you for a few minutes to sort through her emotions. They hated leaving you, but knew you would always be safe as long as Natasha was around.
You shook your head- slowly so as to not hurt yourself more, “I’m fine.” You promised, “I’m happy you’re all here.”
A shaky breath once again slipped from the woman's lips, “I’m so sorry,” Her eyes were welled up with tears.
It was then your turn to frown, confusion pulling your eyebrows down, “For what, Nattie?” You had no idea what she was talking about.
“If I hadn’t left you today, if I had known that something was wrong, I never would’ve left you.” A single tear slipped down her cheek as she squeezed her eyes shut and put your still intertwined hands to her forehead.
You squeezed her hand once, “It’s not your fault, Nattie, you couldn’t have known. You were smiling kindly at her now.
“But-”
You shook your head stubbornly, a trait she often wondered if you got it from her, “It’s not your fault. It could’ve happened to anyone and there’s no way to tell if or when it’ll happen. Accidents happen.” You insisted.
A shaky huff of a laugh left her lips as she pressed a kiss to your forehead, “When did you get so wise?”
A wide grin appeared on your face, “I always have been, you’re just noticing now.”

Ooo hi!! Can I please request a platonic Dad!Bucky X daughter!reader where Hydra got their hands on Y/n she was around 5 years old, the Red Room couldn’t get her to cooperate so they gave her to Hydra (which Hydra then experiments on her and she gets powers). And maybe this is a time where Hydra has Bucky out of cryo for a longer period of time, so they decide to make Bucky (The Winter Soldier) in charge of this little girl. They want him to train her, keep her under control, and keep her quiet. Y/n sees Bucky as a Dad and no matter how many times he tells her he’s not her Dad, he’s the Winter Solider, she always calls him “Daddy” anyway. He eventually just gives in and he raises her as his own.🥺 He’s definitely been taken in and out cryo at some points and sent on missions but whenever he’s out of cryo and not on missions he takes care of her. Hydra is fully aware that Y/n sees Bucky as a Dad and they use that to their full advantage, as they have control over Bucky (bc he’s brainwashed) and Y/n will do whatever her Dad says. When she becomes a teenager, Hydra starts to send Y/n on missions with her Dad. Bucky protects his daughter as much as he can when they’re on missions. She’s 13 when CA: Winter Soldier happens and she’s on the hellicarrier when Bucky and Steve are fighting. During Civil War, she’s 15 when Steve shows up at their apartment and later she’s watching in horror as Tony tries to kill her Dad after he saw the video (Bucky told her she’s not allowed to fight) and hearing her cries for her Dad, it brings Tony back to reality that he’s about to take a Dad away from his traumatized child🥺

Your little mind could not comprehend what the hell was going on. One minute, you’re in the Red Room and the next, you’re in a different building. The Red Room couldn’t get you to cooperate so they gave you to HYDRA. You have no idea why you’re there, but what you do know is that you’re scared and you don’t want to be there.
HYDRA doctors strapped you to a cold metal table as soon as you got there and started to stick you with needles, experimenting on you. You did not like that. It hurt and made you cry. You don’t know what experiments they did on you. Whatever experiments they did on you gave you powers. They told you that you’re going to be trained and taught how to use your powers.
As of right now, you’re getting dragged to a different room in the base. You tried to get away from them by pushing and kicking the HYDRA agent who had a tight grip on your arm, but he only tightened his grip.
“You’re hurting me!” You cried.
“You’ll live.” The HYDRA agent mutters.
You got pulled into a room that looks like a gym. There was a man who has a metal arm in there. The agent finally let go of you. Your arm is now red from how tight the agent was holding onto your arm.
“We have a new job for you.” The agent says to the Winter Soldier.
The Winter Soldier nods, waiting for the agent to tell him what the job is.
“You’ll be in charge of this child. Get her to cooperate, keep her quiet, and train her to use her powers.” He tells him.
“Ok.” Is all the Winter Soldier said.
The HYDRA agent left the room. You stared at the Winter Soldier with the look of curiosity on your face. To you, he wasn’t scary like how everyone thinks of him. Something was telling you that you can trust him.
“I’m Y/N. What’s your name?” You asked.
The Winter Soldier frowns to himself as he tries to remember his own name.
“I don’t know. They call me Soldat.” He tells you.
“I’m 5.” You say, holding up five fingers.
“Ok.” He says.
“I like your arm.” You say, pointing at his metal arm.
“Thanks?” He says like a question.
You walked closer to curiously touch his metal arm, but he got triggered and moved it away from you, accidentally startling you.
“Sorry.” He mutters.
“It’s ok.” You say.
You watched as the Winter Soldier walked over to a table and get something out of a box and put it on the floor in front of you. You looked down at the item, which was a knife, and then looked back up at home with the look of confusion on your face.
“Move it.” The Winter Soldier instructs.
You bent down and picked it up, handing it to him.
“Not like that.” He says.
“How is it going to move?” You asked.
“Your powers.”
You’re so confused right now.
“Put it back on the floor and try again.” He says.
You put the knife back on the floor and stared at it, trying to figure out how it’s supposed to move without touching it.
“How does it move?” You asked, looking up at him.
“Focus and put your hand in front of you or something.” He says, shrugging his shoulders.
You looked back down at the knife and focused on it and held your hand out like he said. It took a while, but you finally got it to move again.
“It moved!” You say.
“Good. Try again.” He says.
You tried again, focusing harder. You’re not sure how you did it, but you managed to get the knife to float up in the air, which amazed you.
“Woah…” You say speechlessly.
“Nice.” He grabs the knife. “Keep doing that and you’ll master your powers in no time.” He says.
“Ok.” You replied.
———
A few weeks go by and you’ve made lots of improvements with your powers. It may have taken you a while to figure out, but you think you kinda got that hang of it now. The longer you’ve been training with the Winter Soldier, the more you like him and trust him. You actually see him as your dad.
“Good job!” The Winter Soldier compliments.
“Thank you, daddy!” You smiled up at him.
“Please don’t call me that.” He says.
“Why?” You asked.
“Cause I’m not your dad.” He says.
“Yes you are.” You say.
The Winter Soldier sighs, not wanting to argue with you. He just picked up where you two left off with your training.
Another few weeks go by and you continue calling the Winter Soldier daddy. That’s what you see him as. He finally gave in and allowed you to call him that. Hearing you call him daddy warms his heart. If he’s being honest, he sees you as his little girl. Yours and his father daughter relationship is something that HYDRA is picking up on. They watch you two when he’s training you. They also see his really self showing, which they don’t like. Like they are right now.
“You’re doing amazing, doll!” Bucky says.
“Thank you, daddy!” You smiled.
You ran over to him and hugged his legs. Bucky smiles down at you and ruffled your hair. The Winter Soldier’s handler and three HYDRA agents walked in at the same time.
“We see that you turned the kid into your pet.” His handler says.
“Don’t call her that.” Bucky says, almost growling.
“Touched a nerve, did I?” His handler chuckles.
His handler and the three HYDRA agents watched as you hid behind Bucky. His handler whispered something to one of the agents approached you.
“No.” Is all Bucky says.
The agent shoved Bucky aside to get access to you. As you were about to run to Bucky, the agent grabbed you and picked you up, leaving the room with you. You started to kick, scream, and cry. Bucky wanted to do something. He really does, but he was held back by the other two agents.
“We’ve noticed the little friendship or whatever relationship you two have. Here’s what’s going to happen, you’re in our control and so is that little girl, you overstep in any way, the kid gets it. Is that understood?” His handler says.
“Yes.” Bucky replies obediently.
“Good.” His handler walks closer to him. “Now, I’m sure you know what’s going to happen later.” He says, referring to erasing his memories and the cryo.
Bucky nodded. That night, he managed to sneak in the cell HYDRA keeps you in. He saw you laying on the bed, sniffling and whimpering softly.
“Doll.” Bucky whispers loud enough for you to hear.
You turned over to see Bucky standing a few feet away from you. You got off the bed and ran over to him. He crouched down to your height and hugged you.
“I have something that might make you feel better.” He says.
“What is it?” You asked.
Bucky took a pen and a blank piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to you. You smiled and took the two items from him and sat down on the cold concrete floor. Bucky sat down across from you, watching you draw little doodles.
“You’re quite the artist, aren’t you, kiddo?” He says softly.
“It’s fun.” You tell him.
“It is.” He agrees.
Bucky watching you with a smile, knowing this is the last time he’s going to see you for a while before he gets put back in the cryo.
———
Bucky was taken in and out of the cryo a couple times. You did not take the news well at all when HYDRA told you. You refused to listen to them and cried. All you wanted was your daddy. They got rough with you when you wouldn’t listen to them. After that, you tried to listen. They also told you that they’re going to make you another Winter Soldier like Bucky when you became a teenager. You didn’t want that, but you didn’t have a choice.
You had just turned 13 years old the next time you and Bucky saw each other. You two felt relieved to see each other. When you got taken to the room where HYDRA erases Bucky’s memories, you gave him a smile. He gave you a nod to look professional. He’s in Winter Soldier mode right now, but deep down, you still see him as the man who treats you like his own child. A HYDRA agent forcefully shoved you in a chair next to Bucky. Bucky’s jaw clenched when the agent did that to you.
“Here’s your little pet.” The agent says.
Bucky gave the agent the death glare when he called you that. He wanted nothing more than to break every bone in his body for shoving you in a chair and calling you a pet.
“I have a mission for you guys.” Alexander Pierce says to you and Bucky.
Pierce was telling you what you need to do on the mission, but you’re not going to do it. Bucky does 99% of the work on missions like he always does. He knows that you don’t want to hurt people. You do step in when you think you need to just to help him.
You were suiting up for the mission when Bucky walked in your cell. Your tactical gear is like Bucky’s, but you have a bulletproof vest for more protection. He wants you to be as protected as you can for missions so he snuck a vest for you.
“I don’t want to do this, dad.” You say quietly as Bucky securely straps the vest on you.
“I know, doll. Try to be strong and brave. Can you do that?” Bucky asks.
“I’ll try.” You replied.
“That’s my girl.” He smiles and kisses your forehead.
When it came time for the mission, you stood by your dad on the he fought Captain America. You made sure to stay out of the way so you didn’t get hurt. You used your powers to help Bucky when he needed it. After Bucky pulled Steve out of the water, he knew that both of you had to get the hell out of there.
“We have to get out of here.” Bucky says as he gently grabs your arm.
“Where are we going?” You asked.
“Somewhere far away from here.” He says.
———
It’s been 2 years since the last mission and now you’re 15 years old and living in Bucharest, Romania with your dad. The apartment you and him are living in is small, but you and him call it home. Also, yours and Bucky’s father daughter relationship has grown even stronger. Your favorite way of spending time with your dad is going to the market. You think it’s fun.
“Can I get both of these?” You asked, holding up a bag of chips and a package of cookies.
“I said one snack, princess.” Bucky says.
“Please?” You begged, giving him puppy dog eyes.
Bucky has a hard time say no to you, especially when you give him the puppy dog eyes. He just doesn’t want to upset you.
“You can get both.” He finally says.
“Yay!” You cheered.
“You have to make them last the week, understand?” He says.
“Yes, Sergeant Dad!” You replied, playfully saluting him.
Bucky laughs softly when you saluted him. You and him finished the trip to the market by getting something to drink, a couple boxes of Mac and Cheese cause you insisted on it, and Bucky got a few plums.
“Ok, kiddo. Ready to go home?” Bucky asks after paying for everything.
“Yes.” You replied.
You and Bucky looked both ways before crossing the street. When you guys got to the other side of the street, Bucky gently redirected you to take a left instead of walking straight.
“Home is that way, dad.” You say, pointing straight ahead.
“I want to check the newspaper real quick.” He says.
“Ok.” You say.
You and Bucky walked to the closest vendor and he picked up a newspaper, his eyes widening when he read the headline.
“Dad, why is there a picture of you on the front page?” You asked, keeping your voice low.
“I don’t know, babydoll.” He puts the newspaper back on the vendor counter. “We need to go home right now.” He says.
Bucky protectively wrapped an arm around you as you two walked back to yours and his apartment. Steve was in yours and his apartment after you and Bucky got home. Steve was looking around before realizing that you and Bucky were behind him.
“Do you know who I am?” Steve asks.
“You’re Steve. I read about you in the museum.” Bucky says.
Steve looks over at you, giving you a smile.
“What’s your name?” Steve asks softly.
“Y/N Barnes.” You tell him.
“Barnes? Are you Bucky’s daughter?” He asks.
Yes nodded your head yes. Bucky protectively put his metal arm out in front of you.
“I want you guys to know that I’m not going to separate you guys.” Steve assures. “All I want to do is help you guys. It doesn’t have to end in a fight.” He says.
“It always ends in a fight.” Bucky says.
Before any of you knew it, the door was busted down and all hell broke loose.
———
Everything happened so fast. One minute your dad threw someone off of a motorcycle so you can get away faster and the next you guys were surrounded by the cops and Rhodey.
“Congratulations, Cap. You’re a criminal.” Rhodey says.
You were shoved to the ground and handcuffed first, which immediately set Bucky off.
“Get your fucking hands off of my daughter!” Bucky yells.
Bucky tried to get to you, but he got handcuffed before he could.
Now, you’re in a vehicle with Steve, Sam, and T’Challa being transported somewhere, but you don’t know where you guys are being transported to.
“Do you like cats?” Sam asks T’Challa.
“Sam.” Steve says.
“He shows up dressed like a cat and you don’t want to know more?” Sam says.
You couldn’t help but giggle when Sam said that. Your giggling stopped when T’Challa brought up your dad.
“How long do you think you can keep your friend safe?” T’Challa asks Steve.
“My dad is innocent. Him and I were having a good day. He was with me all day.” You say before Steve could say anything.
“Respectfully, Miss. Barnes.” T’Challa looks back at you. “I’d like to believe you, but you can’t be so sure about that.” He says.
“I am sure!” You say, accidentally raising your voice at him.
“Y/N.” Steve warns you softly.
You leaned back in the seat and looked out the window. Your eyes filled with tears as thoughts of your dad being taken away from you flooded your mind.
———
After the fight at the airport, you, your dad, and Steve were on the quinjet outside of the base where HYDRA had you and Bucky held at. You felt scared to be back at the base after a long time.
“Are you ok, doll?” Bucky asks softly.
“I’m scared, dad.” You say in a shaky voice.
Bucky hugs you and you lean your head on his chest. Steve saw you and Bucky having a father daughter moment and stayed back to give you two a couple minutes.
“Everything is going to be fine. HYDRA can’t hurt us anymore.” He almost whispers.
You felt better knowing that.
“Can I show you something?” He asks.
“Yes.” You replied.
Bucky reached a hand in his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. He unfolded it, showing you the picture you drew for him when you were 5 years old.
“You drew this picture for me when you were 5. This picture and you were the only two things that kept me from going insane while I was under HYDRA’s control.” He tells you.
“I remember the day I drew it. I didn’t see you for a while after that.” You say, your eyes tearing up.
“I’m sorry. I should’ve told you about them putting me back in the cryo, but I didn’t want to upset you and I didn’t think you would’ve understood cause of how young you were.” He says.
“You don’t have to apologize, dad. I understand now.” You say.
Bucky smiles and folded the picture back up and put it back in his pocket.
“Are you two ready?” Steve asks.
“Let’s get this over with.” Bucky says.
———
You, your dad, Steve, and Tony watched footage from a mission Bucky did as the Winter Soldier on December 16, 1991. You noticed Tony’s jaw clench as he watched the footage.
“Did you know?” Tony asks Steve.
“I didn’t know it was him.” Steve says.
“Don’t bullshit me, Rogers!” Tony says.
Steve nods. Tony blasts Steve, sending him to the ground. Bucky aimed his gun at Tony, but he blasted the gun out of his hands before he could shoot at him.
“Get out of here!” Steve shouts at you and Bucky.
Bucky grabbed your arm and you two started running. Tony followed you two. As you and Bucky were almost out of the base, Tony shot a blast that was meant for your dad, but it also hit you. You two fell a great distance down, landing on the metal grates. You wince in pain.
“Are you ok, doll?” Bucky asks with worry in his voice.
“I’m fine.” You say.
Bucky looks at Tony, knowing he’s not going to stop. He was more worried about your safety than Tony trying to kill him.
“You need to get out of here and get back on the quinjet.” He says.
“No way! I’m not leaving you!” You exclaimed.
“Y/N, please! Stark isn’t going to stop any time soon and I don’t want to risk losing you!” He says, his eyes tearing up.
“I don’t want to risk losing you either.” You say, your voice cracking.
Bucky sighs, not wanting to argue with you.
“Ok. Fine, but stay here where you won’t get hurt.” Bucky says.
“Ok.” You replied.
Bucky grabbed Steve’s shield and jumped down from the metal grate, hitting Tony with the shield. You looked down, watching your dad and Steve fight Tony. It was horrific for you to watch. You watched in horror when Tony blasted your dad, sending him against the wall and then the ground. You quickly levitated down to him.
“Dad, are you ok?” You asked.
“I’m fine.” Bucky groans softly.
You helped your dad up from the ground.
“Get out of the way, kid.” Tony says, walking towards you and your dad.
“No.” You stood in front of your dad. “I am not going to sit back and watch you try to kill my dad.” You say.
“He killed my parents.” He says.
“It wasn’t him. HYDRA had him under their control.” You tell him.
“Oh god. Not you too.” He says.
“I know what my dad did as the Winter Soldier was bad, but he would never do something like that if he was in his own control.” You say.
“I don’t care. He deserves what I’m about to do to him for what he did to my parents.” He says.
“If you kill my dad, I’ll have no one. He’s all I have. He’s been raising me as his own daughter since I was 5. I never seen him as the Winter Soldier and I was never scared of him. I have always seen him as my dad.” You poured your heart out. “Tony, if you kill my dad, you’ll never forgive yourself for taking him away from me forever.” You say.
You had tears streaming down your face by the time you were done pouring your heart out. Tony didn’t know what to say after all of that. As much as he wants to kill your dad for what he did to his parents, he’s not capable of taking a father away from his daughter forever.
“Look, kid.” Tony sighs. “As much as I want to kill your dad, I won’t put you through that kind of pain.” He says.
You felt relieved to hear that. You broke down in tears as you hugged your dad.
“It’s ok, doll. I got you. I’m still here.” Bucky whispers, kissing the top of your head.
Bucky led you out of the base and took you back to the quinjet.
“See.” Steve gestures to how great Bucky is with you. “He’s not a bad guy.” He says to Tony.
Steve went to the quinjet just as you were calming down.
“Are you ok, kiddo?” Steve asks softly.
“I am now.” You say.
Steve smiles and puts a hand on Bucky’s shoulder.
“You’re a great dad, Buck.” Steve says.
“Thanks, man.” Bucky smiles.
“If you’re ok with it, I would like to get to know you, Y/N.” Steve says.
“I would like that.” You say softly and smiled.

Marvel Rivals Intro idea platonic Ironman and Male Reader
Male Reader being Tony's son from a different universe Tony doesn't have children (that he knows off) and it's a rocky start because the other Tony from Reader's universe is more like an alcoholic deadbeat and reader resents him and main Tony wants to get to know Male Reader better and main Tony doesn't like the other Tony
Main Tony = Marvel Rivals Tony
Other Tony = Male Reader's dad
Tony: kiddo I’m sorry
Y/N: it wasn’t you
Tony: I know but…I wanna be better for you. I don’t…I don’t have a son on my world
Tony puts a hand on Y/N’s shoulder…
Tony: please. Let me be the father you deserve
Y/N: we’ll look out for each other. Okay?
Tony: it’s a start. I’ll take it
