I think I ask this before but here we go...could the Cullens survive in a Lovecraftian world?
"They have powers" sure. And I think you may say "they are part of the uncanny" also true, but I feel they are small fishes compared to what lays beneath.
A cult wants to sscrifice one of them to a god? They can get out...but if the god WANTS them?
I think to polish my question: can the Cullens survive and thrieve in a world where ALL lovecraftian themes exist?
Not sure I remember this though it could be somewhere in my inbox.
And the answer is no.
Lovecraftian world/creatures are creatures that defy any understanding and prey upon the weakness of the human mind which is something that the Cullens absolutely have. Vampires in Twilight may easily outpower us and any other creature, but if we're going to the land of the eldritch then they're small fries and as human as the rest of us.

Wait I just read yoir post about Tom Riddle's temporary body.
You think Tom cared for his looks or had any vanity? Sure maybe is not a matter of vanity in wanting a new body per se but...to me I never got the vibe Tom, even when he was hot, cared for his looks. Again my humble opinion.
(The post being referred to. Also relevant)
I think it's telling that Tom Riddle engaged in no other forms of body modification. He didn't dye his hair, didn't grow facial hair, didn't in any way alter himself to look different, if anything he enhanced his features (let his hair grow out a bit after school and seems to have worn flattering clothes). To me, that's telling that he at the very least didn't dislike the way he looked.
The way fandom has interpreted his transformation, there is near universal consensus that Tom desired the change, and the only debate is whether it was because he couldn't stand his own resemblance to his father, or because he wanted to purge every bit of humanity from his person, including a human appearance.
My issue with the former is the point I made above, that Tom never in any other way sought to look less like his father. He kept the hair colour, didn't transfigure his nose of his face shape to be different, no tattoos, no style of dress that would make him look different, nothing. He didn't change a thing. If his desire to not be reminded of Tom Riddle Sr. was so extreme he would disfigure himself, there would have been other body modifications before he got to that point and yet there's no sign he ever did. So I call foul.
If he wished to alter his face to look less human than the question is... when, exactly, does Tom Riddle express a desire to not be human in the books? Oh, he desires power, and he wishes to defy death which is perhaps the ultimate rejection of humanity, stating that he has gone "further than any other" in this pursuit, but there's no direct line to be drawn from that to him not wanting to be human. Tom Riddle's desire not to die proves he desired not to die, and nothing more or less, and so to me the idea that he wished to purge himself of humanity and his disfiguration was part of that seems fanon - a valid interpretation I myself used to subscribe to, but still not actually directly in the books.
I personally think there is reason to believe, room enough to argue, that he looked like Tom Riddle before he was vanquished, and the linked posts at the top of the post explain why I think his resurrection body looked the way he did - it was a homunculus created out of necessity, not because he could finally live without a nose the way he'd always dreamed.
With all that said, to answer your question, I think Tom displays enough vanity in other aspects of life as well as a certain... finickyness and perfectionism, that while I don't think he was spending hours before the mirror or in love with his own face, I do think he cared for his looks. Certainly, enough to never step outside unless he looked pristine and the type to splutter and be deeply offended if you say his haircut doesn't suit him.

So I'm plagued with liking curtains ship that aren't very popular or if are popular they are written in a way I don't vibe.
I'm into now....Danny x jazz. I have found some people who ship it but content is empty. Was wondering if you know any content of this ship.
Thank you.
I don't know of any content that would exist other than in the places I imagine you've already looked. I'm sorry!
Danny and Jazz have come up a few times. I'm sad there's not more content!

So the leaks... Goddamn Bakugou is brought back from the fucking dead with the Jeart to steal Izuku's fight with HIS villains (AFO and Shig) and save HIS goddamn mentor from AFO...
Who is the main character? If you ask Hori he'd say Bakugou. This is a fucking joke. I read this story to read about IZUKU and his journey to be the number one hero not POS Bakugou.
I wish the POS remained dead for at least long enough for Izuku to win HIS fight against HIS villains.
Bakugou is a cancer on Izuku and his narrative - I hate this.
Hellou @doodlegirl1998
Love getting asks. ☺️
Anyway, on your question...I have to say: I'm Hori's eyes, Bk is his beloved. Also note how Izu has no emotional connection towards anything here (maybe, if we scratches and squeeze our eyes enough, we can say Shig is the emotional connection but Hori) on a sense it makes sense, like bk was killed by shgafo and now is back to want revenge. Makes sense and we see many heroes and characters in that scenario.
What izu had here? SHIG, sure but he is holding back SHIG for 20 mins(who I think wants to fuck him...at this point why the fuck not? He is moaning and licking his tentacles...in the middle of a war "make love, not war)
It also gets worse bc this could mean Izu is sharing OFA with BK thanks to bakuboner ... aka what makes Izu special-loose word here-has to be shared with his abuser.
And only at the verge of death we see more of AM's past. Why his mom makes me think of Nejire? Is she like the ideal woman of MHA? Bc a model similar to her was used in Deternet's commercial.
"the ideal woman will have blue hair, blue eyes and big tities"
But I do say smth, people around the globe not caring for this fight is so realistic. Kudos to Hori for that. I can see people even memeing AFO and his fights. Also this shit is being Livestream
Everyone is seeing this shit.
I hate how gentle wanted to help but AFO said no. Only PoS can do it.

Remember childhood Shigaraki snapping out at Mirio in the midst of battle yelling he does have friends? That og, that sweet innocent character was still somehow deep down inside the current Shigaraki. I had a firm conviction that this moment would lead us viewers somewhere. And somewhere we did go. We've all arrived at a screeching halt. Yes, the manga is still going on but it's died long along in terms of plot, continuity, consistency, character development, everything.
Both Izu and Shigaraki had what it took to carry the entire weight of MHA and sore it to new heights but Hori decided to play favorites instead of doing what a self respecting author would- write meaningful plot.

Hey...I want to post the question here to see if more people agree. Is it sad Izu lost to Shoto? He sacdificed his win for his classmate. YES, Izu helping Shoto is good (not arguing against that) but ...I may ne reaching but like if you think about it...Izu is sort "cleaning" the mess Endy did.
But even if I'm wrong on this aspect...I still find so...sad Izu had to give up on winning. Look, I get it fire is very hard to beat unless Izu uses some gadget - MEI WAS RIGHT THERE IZU lol- but still....he had to give up winning and come on, you know Izu has 0 wins in his life.
"But if he had won...Hori would have made fight BK and that would be clusterfuck" yes. Absolutely. Either BK wins bc yes or Izu and BK are tied "they both are too op"
😒I mean ofa is not op at all and only gives misery for Izu for no reason.
Tentacles is the coolest quirk he has but I know it is just bc Hori has a weak understanding of Spiderman.
(Float...in my fics I make Nana and Izu/Izuchan be able to fly like Superman but in canon...is not like that right?)
I think if Izu had won the Sports Festival more heroes would approach him...(50/50 his quirk still sucks) and we could see Izu being praised...but Hori 😒
Hi @mikeellee 👋,
Personally, I do feel like it was sad for Izuku in the moment to have lost especially when he felt like he had to win to make All Might proud.
However, on the flip side of things, Izuku threw the match, upon hearing Todoroki's backstory to aim to get him to overcome the trauma of his fire side of his quirk when the smart thing to do would have been to not help him and let him freeze himself.
That highlights the difference between Izuku and Bakugou by the way, Bakugou wanted to win against an opponent at full strength which is why he tried to goad Todoroki into using his flames. Whereas Izuku aimed to save him, Izuku also gained himself a loyal friend in Todoroki by doing this, which means many overlook Izuku's disappointment in losing. (Thankfully we hear AM is proud of Izuku for doing this later.)
Also can we talk about how this move should have got Izuku more hero offers? He threw his chance at 'glory' to save/help someone else, the other heroes were there while Izuku was literally shouting at Todoroki about using his flames. That's a fundamental part of being a hero right there! Guys! The heroes are sitting on Izuku's potential, not many students would do that, especially at the stage he had got to in the tournament !
As for if Izuku had won against Todoroki and made it to the final round... Hori would have made Bakugou absolutely obliterate Izuku because we all know how far his favoritism for Boom Boom boy goes. 😒
It's not that OFA is made from useless quirks it's more that Hori barely gave them any thought and wastes them. Like he's just barely going through the motions of OFA for 'plot' as fast as possible so he can get to writing what he enjoys... Namely Bakugou and Endeavor. *Sighs.*

I’d be willing to forgive AFO possessing Shigaraki if it meant something in the end.
It’s no secret that AFO has abused and groomed Shigaraki, with emotional neglect, conditioning him and literally forcing him to carry around reminders of his dead family.
So possessing Shigaraki could be symbolic of AFO taking away Tomura’s autonomy and control.
But Hori didn’t really do anything with it! It was just AFO fucking around and shit.
And I’d be willing to forgive it, if Tomura got to kill AFO in the end.
AFO ruined Tomura’s life, especially if the theory of AFO giving Tomura decay is true.
Tomura was abused and used by AFO and killing him would’ve been brilliant symbolism of him taking back control and by default, his life.
But nah, let’s have Bakugou, someone with little ties to AFO, kill him instead!
*Insert banging my head on the wall*
Shigaraki deserved better in the narrative. He’s a damn good antagonist and honestly very interesting with his character and personality, if only he truly got to flourish.

A question for Twilight aus. Ok...what if Belle really take issue with Jasper's past? So much she wants nothing to do with the Cullens.
Like as much they are perfection in her eyes...lets assume this "flaw" would bersmish the Cullens for her(assuming it would)
Would things go well for everyone?
Ha.
Ha ha.
Ha ha ha.
No.
First, Bella Didn't
Bella is, to put it delicately, very non-judgemental to an almost concerning degree.
Jessica tells her outright the Cullens are incestuous: Bella thinks that's nice of them and wonders why Jessica judges them so much. Rude, Jessica.
Edward tells Bella all about the time he planned her murder (and the Biology class) in cold blood, how he despised her afterwards for ruining his life by existing, and how his family gathered around a table and discussed whether or not they should kill her: wow, Edward-senpai, you're so amazing.
Edward tells Bella that he uh actually left the diet once for several years and ate many many people. "That's okay because they were all bad people."
Bella then asks an appalled Edward (and later Carlisle) why the Cullens even bother with the diet. Sounds like hard work.
"I'd like not to eat people, Bella," - Edward
Bella hears about how the Cullens have historically had accidents and Bella herself nearly was one. Doesn't phase her at all.
Bella thinks Jacob/the wolves are eating people in New Moon? Bella gives Jake a stern talking to about how the Cullens live on animals so the wolves surely can to. (Jake, for the record, is appalled at the mere suggestion that the wolves are doing this like a sane person.)
Jasper's history is one in a long line of concerning things that have been said to Bella that she doesn't give a flying fuck about.
Even if she was mildly concerned, she wouldn't jeopardize her future with the Cullens and Edward based off a dislike of Jasper. If she's turned, then she can deal with the Jasper issue. If not then her life is meaningless and pointless.
But if Bella Did Do This
Even if Bella really takes issue with Jasper's history, there's an easy solution: she has Edward kick Jasper out or she and Edward leave the family.
Bella doesn't have to give up being a vampire or the rest of the Cullens just because Jasper sucks. Edward has said as much several times: Jasper isn't even a really integral member of the family. He's Alice's plus one.
Bella goes on a quest to get Alice to dump Jasper (which she may or may not do depending how the visions play out). Edward is distressed but figures he and Bella can honeymoon somewhere for a bit until he can talk her down.
"Hooray for me!" - Bella Swan
She's Not Allowed to Like the Cullens Anymore
Same thing happens except she tells Edward they're leaving the Cullens after he turns her. They're going off on their own, his family sucks because they hang out with people like Jasper.
Edward would become increasingly distressed as it becomes increasingly clear Bella's serious (and Bella for that matter is picking fights with the family who are not warming up to her).
However, if Edward separates Bella from them... Then Carlisle can't turn her, can he?
Edward and Bella have their honeymoon in Rio (Edward talked Bella into inviting the Cullens to his wedding) where a month later Bella dies when a child bursts from her womb.
Alternately, Edward eats out the child himself in an abortion attempt that goes horribly wrong and Bella dies.
Edward murders it then head to Jacob asking him to kill him.
Bella Doesn't Like Edward Anymore Either
I mean, this really would never happen (and I love that your reasoning is that "Bella doesn't like Jasper so uh I guess she doesn't like anyone now". I just love that you supplied a reason and that reason is this.
The thing is, Bella still wants to be a vampire.
A lot.
So much.
Sure, it doesn't mean much if she's not with Edward but... she really really really wants to be a vampire.
"What was that about your cousins?" Bella ends up subtly (not at all) asking Edward, thinking that if she doesn't join the Cullens she can join the Denali.
They're on the diet too, they sound like wonderful people, they love and respect people so much they even make love to them, and none of them are Jasper or are living with Jasper.
It's the perfect fit!
Bella starts grilling Edward on the Denali while also avoiding him as much as possible (Edward has no idea what's going on and is terrified).
Bella, for her own part, is getting very cold feet about this wedding (as she only learned Jasper's full history in Eclipse) but... The Denali will show up, and it may be her only opportunity.
Long story short, Bella recreates the Graduate with Eleazar and Edward. Eleazar whisks off Edward's would be bride, in front of the whole town, to Alaska.
(Bella's mortified, but she gets to be a vampire and not married to Edward who lives with Jasper.)
"Did she just run off with your uncle?" - Mike Newton.
(Jacob, for his own part, can't even believe it as he somehow didn't lose to Edward but still lost.)
Bella very quickly uses the Denali as replacement Cullens and eagerly does her best to fit in with her new found family. Terrible things ensue.

mha rant # 11- consequences what are those
consequences are supposed to help people grow, but what happens when their isn't any consequences at all or if they kind fall flat. Mha's bakugo is proof of that because their are three instances of this statement.
The house arrest (otherwise the downfall of the deku squad.)
The provisional license exam
The card game ova
This goes to show that even if bakugo faces consequence, he still wins. (The amount of plot armor he has should be illegal). Seriously fu hori and fu bakugo katsuki.
(and question should I make positive mha content here? Because don't get me wrong bashing on bakugo and stuff is cathartic, but I fear that this may become a hate account someday. Also I'm thinking of doing other things when it comes to mha. What are your opinions on this.)

The book I read "the apartment in Paris" does have canonical incest. One of the characters admit have an oedipux complex
Context: Jess is a girl who goes to Paris to hide with her brother bc she well, get revenge on a perv boss and cant trust police. Her bro seems to be gone. And the apartment is ocuppaid by a rich family of Paris. Antoine is a man who is not only snobish but rude. He hated his step mom bc she "usurper" his beautiful mom's place. He even blackmail her.
The mom is sadly dead but hey...dude confessed so casually to want his mom.
Also Jess and her bro Ben have potential. Like he is the guy everyone wants to have, a mystery for everyone...but in his honest hours...he talks about Jess and how guilty he felt for not doing more for her (when their mom killed herself- being abused by their cop dad has its toll- they were adopted by different families...Ben went to rich one and Jess...not)
Overral is a good story.
Thanks for the recommendation! Jess and Ben sound like they have a lot to offer, and the mother/son relationship sounds really fascinating.

after seeing @mikeellee saying Shoto and the kettle it reminded me another fandom thing that I absolutely despise.
People taking something horrible that happened to a character… and turning it into a joke.
For example, you have Danganronpa and DDLC making Ibuki, Kaede, and Sayori “hanging around” jokes when those kind of jokes are EXTREMELY disrespectful and mean towards people that actually took their lives by that method.
And it’s no different in BNHA.
You have the obvious like Ochako being so poor she has to do _, Bakugou yelling die at anything that moves, Izuku being injured so much he should marry the hospital bed, it just goes on.
I will say that Katsuki yelling die at everything that moves is pretty canon.
You are correct about everything else though. Now, I like dark humor, but a lot of people confuse dark humor with turning a tragedy into a joke. South Park is dark humor. The jokes you mentioned are insensitive. I’m not going to really dive deep into the difference between dark humor and whatever those other jokes are but a lot of people confuse the two when there are huge differences between them.

Vent Ask anon is here again! Hello 👋
I have another vent for you in regard to Hori's writing. Something I've seen both you and @mikeellee speak about is how Hori loves his abuser characters. I've noticed this too and I hate it.
Two main examples of this for me stick out.
Bakuguo and Endeavor.
But I'll talk about some other (dis)honorable examples of this at the end.
First Bakugou Katsuki (kind of controversial to label him as an abuser) however with the severity of the bullying dealt to Izuku and the length of time he dealt it - that's abuse. And yet:
He is favoured by the narrative
Izuku is never allowed to think negatively of him or grow out of his mindset of "Kacchan is the best"
Bkg has characters that exists as a 'simp' for him in Izuku, Kaminari and Kirishima.
He has friends despite treating no one with respect, screaming at everyone and giving everyone degrading nicknames.
Said "best friend" Kirishima hates bullies and somehow can't see his "manly" best friend is one.
He is favored by the 'hardass' homeroom teacher since Aizawa is a favored mouthpiece of Hori
He is deemed a prodigy of 1A despite his only prior experience to UA being beating up others who couldn't fight back - which implies nothing good. How severe did he beat Izu and others up to get that good?
All Might thinks well of him despite Bakugou berating and beating up Izuku as well as berating the past OFA holders. (As soon as Bkg did that AM should have kicked him straight out of the OFA talks.)
The apology scene and the 1A vs Izuku scene were all there to act as a gotcha moment to the Anti-Bakugou fans and put him back in Izuku's story.
Yet why does Bakugou have to be in Izuku's story? He adds nothing. He contributes nothing. He is a parasite on Izuku's life. And Izuku is FAR more interesting as a character and would have been allowed to shine if he were allowed to be away from Bakugou - But Hori can't allow that!
Second Endeavor - I hate him. He began the story as an irredeemable trash father, the dark side of heroics yet Hori has now attempted D worthy "atonement" narrative.
He is favored by the narrative
He has a character that exists as a 'simp' for him in Hawks.
Rei is not allowed to think negatively of him despite how he ruined her mental state, physically and (implied SA'd her depending on the reading of the manga - why is Hori giving an implied rapist a redemption arc?)
Only realised his wrongdoings when he got the position he wanted in being the Number 1 hero and realised it was empty. (Fucking laughable, he didn't see it when Touya grew unstable, when Rei burnt Shoto or when Touya supposedly DIED. How am I meant to believe this guy deserves a redemption?)
No hero / hero in training outside the Todoroki's is allowed to say a bad word about him. Hawks acts now as his simp despite his abusive childhood and Jeanist is joining Hawks in helping support an abuser while giving off strong abuse apologist vibes... This leads me to my next point-
Endeavor remains the number 1 hero despite being outed as an Domestic Abuser... What the fuck? I thought being a hero is meant to be more than about power HORI? That was the message at the start of MHA! If it's just about power now - why not let All for One rule and be the number 1!
Then there's the issue with how the rest of the family, primarily Dabi and Rei are handled - Hori's retcons. Smacking Rei for not watching Touya and separating Shoto from his siblings to keep him away from 'dangerous' Touya who attempted to kill him as a baby. But there's also the instances with Fuyumi not understanding Touya and Natsuo telling Touya to tell Fuyumi about his problems because he needs to sleep. These instances exist solely to shift the blame off Endeavor for the established abusive behaviour he committed by showing the other family members had some fault for their circumstamces. That's it. There's no other reason to any of those instances being there.
Some fans claim that there is complexity in abusive situations which is why those scenes (in the above bullet point) are there and that does exist in real life but this is a Shonen Manga. Authorial intent needs to be considered. Subjects like this needs to be handled sensitively and while not leaving any room for doubt (especially when the audience/readers are young children/teens) who is at fault. The fact that Hori muddles the water like this (just take a look at any of the E stans takes on Rei or Touya) isn't good. AT ALL.
Shoto. Endeavor's "atonement" led to Shoto being shafted as a character and powerful in his own right so so bad. There's something so wrong about this. The victim should ALWAYS remain the focus of their story especially their recovery and telling of it.
There's also the fact that Endeavor's victims are so so much more interesting than him. Shoto is a main character and he's great - give me more of him. Give me more Rei, Dabi/Touya, Natsuo and Fuyumi, their mindsets would be so much more interesting to see than Endeavor's "change" the majority of which occurred in his own head.
Now for the quick fire dishonorable mentions.
Overhaul. A piece of trash truly, yet he appears in MHA once again as an willing 'accomplise' to Nagant and broken man. He is also asked if he would like to apologise to Eri by Izuku. Like no. This man deserves nothing, in fact he deserves Shiggy to decay the rest of him. He added nothing to the Nagant arc and there was no need for him to be there. Other than to be someone for Izuku to save which would have worked better being anyone else really.
All for One. Arguable, Hori at the very least doesn't try to shift the blame off of him. However he gets more focus than First and the rest of the OFA holders despite them being his biggest constant threat. AND despite Izuku (our narrator) being an OFA holder and seeing the other vestiges! Hori! Come on Hori! The opportunity to explore all the OFA holders was RIGHT THERE!
Shimura Kotaro - again arguable. However with the way the story treated his abuse to his family, the blame for his abuse seems to be shifted to Nana's abandonment of Kotaro for 'causing him to act that way.' Although he at least is such a minor character most fans seemed to think "wow fuck that guy" upon learning Shigaraki's backstory and moved on.
Your thoughts?
To give a proper response, I'll be talking about each of the characters you listed.
Bakugou: You're all right about this, at this point he literally has the narrative wrapped around his finger. He's the worst of what happens when you give a side character the screentime of a second major character but with no development. He serves no purpose to the plot and just serves to take away screentime to characters that could really use it to make them more important than they are now.
Endeavor: Yeah you pretty much hit the nails why this atonement doesn't work.
I would even like to add Fuyumi to this equation since she chose to forgive him so they could be a happy family. While I get what Hori's trying to convey and having multiple sides to this, but it just comes across as her invalidating Natsuo's feelings without trying to see it from his POV.
Hey Hori, your sexism is showing again by having the females in the family forgive your abuser with implications of r*pe.
And that isn't going into how Shoto is literally made into a plot device IN HIS OWN FUCKING ARC FOR ENDEAVOR'S ATONEMENT!!
Overhaul: Nothing much to say here.
AFO: Nothing here either.
Kotaro: Yeah this guy was a pos. And his family isn't any better by letting the abuse too. I will die defending Nana as she was only doing what she thought was best to protect her family and didn't have any say in the choices that led to her son being an abuser.
