I just hope the comic isn't based on the reboot tbh.

A continuation from Omniverse's ending would be fucking amazing but I'd also be completely down with them just taking the massive amount of world building and lore already present in the 4 series and making something new. Especially if it has stuff like the Secret Scientists integrated from the start and shit.

Regardless tho I'm so hyped. If it does well we could eventually get an Invincible/Samurai Jack season 5 style mature Ben 10 series.

One of the heads of MoA iirc already said he really really wants to do a mature Ben 10 series in said vein and I'd be absolutely down with that holy shit.

Set it when Ben is 18 and has just unlocked Master Control and you can go absolutely ham with that concept alone.

How do you feel about people who ship Ben with Rex Salazar? What is your general opinion on the ship? Personally it’s one of my favorite Ben 10 ships since Rex not only treats Ben well and understands what he goes through as a hero, but Rex is also one of the few characters to have legitimate real chemistry with Ben.

Honestly you can ship Ben with most any hero and they'd go along well.

Honestly a thing that basically never gets notice in crossovers is just how nuts (in the best way possible) Ben is in his dedication to heroics. He's literally done multiple all nighters in a row and doesn't go on vacations for weeks at a time (and even when he does get a day off he'd gladly throw it away to save people, even if it's in another reality).

He's also legitimately tried to kill himself for real to save lives he didn't even know about 24 hours ago.

Like, I'm not saying he'd get along perfectly with EVERY hero, since he's absolutely fine with killing people or letting them die from the consequences of their actions (which would rub every hero with a no kill rule wrong and he'd in turn hate them and see them as part of the problem).

Btw in case you ever run into someone trying to downplay the Omnitrix's reaction speed by saying the Anhillargh was an artificial Big Bang and so couldn't be as fast/strong as the real thing...

They're RIGHT, it's not as fast, it's FASTER by several orders of magnitude.

The unenhanced Big Bang literally created a infinitly big universe in less than a minute and travelled at least 14.9 million light years (14 trillion C) in only 5 seconds.

The one the Onmitrix reacted to had a Dwarf Star that EXPLICITLY enhances whatever it's attached to by a thousand fold.

Seeing as the watch very explicitly transformed him AFTER he was shrouded by the light of the Big Bang but BEFORE he got hit with it (and again being super generous) this is the reaction time you'd need to react to something going that fast if it was a meter away from you.

You would have about 35 yoctoseconds to react before it hit you. As in the shortest unit of time before Plank Length.

You can see it happen at 2:02 to 2:16 along with Ben outright stating the Onmitrix wouldn't let him die.

The watch is ridiculously fast and that's the LOWEST low ball considering the one the Omnitrix ACTUALLY reacted to got modified with a Dwarf Star that explicitly enhances any tech/person it's attached to by a thousand fold. It can literally grant people powers and shit, like teleportation/force fields and innate super strength.

I don't know what it is about Omniverse but the people with those takes ALWAYS disregard context.

@xcatxgirlx has actually done a number of essays outlining these facts but I might as well reiterate it all here.

Context, as always, is king.

In AF he had to act as the leader since Max was missing than presumed dead right in front of him. In season 3 the Highbreed were not only dealt with but Max was alive and well. So he can finally let loose.

In UA he had to deal with a bunch of shit.

In Omniverse his previously held dedication to heroics was still as strong as ever (an episode even points out this was his first time off in WEEKS) but he's dealt with so much shit basically nothing phases him anymore so he's far more laid back. Though as seen multiple times in the series is able to get deadly serious whenever a situation calls for it.

Keep in mind that half of UA and all of Omniverse happens in less than a year since Ben is 16 throughout.

Is Ben far more laid back in Omniverse? Yes, but he has a whole organization at his back since the Plumbers are fully operational on Earth again and are fully staffed. He's also consistently been dealing with Galactic/Universal and in Omniverse multiple Multiversal level threats so, of course, most things he faces is looked at as being small potatoes in comparison, because they are.

Not even a giant ass worm monster popping out of the ground while he's getting food causes him to freak out, he literally just hands his bag to a stranger and gets to work.

First of all @strawberryoverlord and @abcleverun, why WOULD I? Me clogging up my blog with the countless charities out there would hardly give them more traffick. Anyone who WOULD donate (like I have to multiple of said charities) don't need a constant stream of "look at this cause!!!" to actually donate, since they'd search it out for themselves.

Secondly, most people don't even HAVE spare income to donate to the thousands of causes and GoFundMes out there. People wanting to donate but being unable to do so would just cause unnecessary harm (something entirely unneeded in the highest month of suicides), and those that wouldn't donate wouldn't be swayed by a geyser of posts about them.

3rdly, and most importantly, the only ones being performative here are you lot. Claiming to hate racism but being absolutely ok with being racist to white people and claiming they can't be targeted for their race or are flat out immune to racism since they're white.

Racism is racism no matter the skin color it's pointed at. Just like you can be sexist to any sex or ageist to both old and young people.

I've gone over this EXTENSIVELY months prior. No ism is discriminatory in it's application since otherwise it'd be the very thing it's defining.

Donating to a charity isn't a metric for actually caring about the cause in question, otherwise we wouldn't call the billionaires that do that performative. What matters is what you do day to day to stop isms, saying racism is bad and participating in it is the height of performativeism. It doesn't matter if you donate thousands of dollars to charities, if you contribute to what it's trying to stop than you're LITERALLY part of the problem.

I keep seeing this misconception of Anodites so I'd thought I'd clear it up

First the relavent wiki page of the episode

This episode does multiple things. It introduces Verdona (Ben and Gwen's grandmother), Anodites (living beings completely made of Mana, the inherently multi dimensional life energy in most living things and heavily hinted at as being in stars and even planets, said energy status makes them lack DNA and thus a scan in the Omnitrix), and showcased where Gwen's powers come from and her mastery of magic.

Male Anodites are indeed things since Verdona didn't say it was impossible when Ben asked if he too had the Spark that grants Gwen her powers.

Ben lacks it, so like his father and said father's brother, Ben is completely Human. Being a Anodites is a binary state, you either have the Spark (or in the case of Charmcaster stole it temporarily like in In Charms Way) and thus Anodite powers or you don't.

There's no such thing as anything but 1/2 Anodite.

Honestly I'd adore the hypothetical relationship Ben Tennyson and Danny Phantom could have (even if it'd pain me since Sam/Danny is great).

I've actually thought about actually writing the one shot where they meet and Danny is basically getting his mind blown 24/7 from everything to do with Ben's life and how he can basically explore the universe (and has even seen it be made!!!) whenever he wants. This isn't even getting into Sam jumping at the chance to learn magic and Tucker basically being camotose from excitement at all the Plumber tech/Rook's Proto Tool/the Omnitrix/the Extranet.

Hell if I ever make it more than a one shot Danny would JUMP at the chance to become a Plumber since he wanted to be a astronaut prior to his powers. Being a Plumber is >>>>>>>>>>>> an astronaut after all. Hell they'd see his powers as a asset.

Speaking of that last bit (I think I've touched upon it here once or twice?) but it's my headcanon that by the time Ben 10K is a thing inter dimensional travel is widespread and has a process akin to airports/space travel for regular people. This has basically set up a Multiversal branch of the Plumbers lead by a team of Omnitrix users/citadel of Azmuths/his intellectual peers and allows all the various alt Omnitrix users to meet up/hang out.

Kinda like this fic here tbh but more widespread

What the Omnitrix allows the user to turn into per canon

The only requirements for something to be in the watch is for them to be sapient, have DNA, and not being magic based entities (thus why it not having Anodite/Stone Creature transformations).

So the watch wouldn't allow the user to turn into a Gem from Steven Universe since they don't have DNA but it WOULD allow the user to turn into Galactus (since he not only has a kid but has been cloned) and a 5th dimensional imp (seeing as Superman 1 million has the powers of one since he has all the powers of his descendants somehow).

The magic portion would mean that it would allow the user to turn into magic users so long as they aren't powered/sustained by just magic. So various entities from Harry Potter are fair game (like House Elves/Mermaids etc).

As shown with Nanomech any species tied to a hivemind is made to be uninfluenced by said hivemind (so something like Prototype's Blacklight wouldn't have to worry about the viral hivemind for example).

As shown by Alien X esoteric DNA isn't a problem either seeing as Celestialsapiens are WoG to exist across time simultaneously being 5th dimensional entities. So afaik Time Lords from Doctor Who are likewise fair game.

Seeing as fictional exploration is predicated by the fictional golden rule (that is everything is like real life unless specified otherwise) any species that isn't explicitly said to have DNA but match all the other criteria are likewise fair game for being scanned and made a available transformation. Also as I've pointed out before in my debunk here, all transformations are based on the base state of the user and are in no way the peak of their species unless said user is also the peak of their own species.

No, seriously.

As @xcatxgirlx has shown in various essays (and whose help really shouldn't be needed to see it since it's pretty clear in the series... but than again there are people who legitimately actually no bullshit believe Ben is a narcissistic womanizing sociopath/psychopath so maybe her amazing essays are needed after all) that Ben's longest relationship was only ok for like.... a couple episodes.

Julie straight up wanted shit from Ben he in good conscious couldn't do or he had no real control over, this isn't even getting into the fact the narrative bends over backwards to paint Ben as the bad guy in arguments arbitraryly.

What am I talking about?

Like them getting mad at him for prioritizing a hostage situation over being on time for Julie at the airport, or how in Duped Gwen STRAIGHT UP ADMITTED the Forever Knights are always trying to take over the world and them getting mad at him for stopping them instead of arriving on time for a match. Or the very same episode where Julie threw a bitch fit at Ben being a media magnet. He doesn't even LIKE IT in the first place.

You want to know what would have happened if the writers weren't forcing the drama? They'd have broken up looooooong before Omniverse once she made it clear she prioritizes her time/their date time above SAVING LIVES and there'd never be any OOC bs like Gwen prioritizing a tennis match over stopping the Forever Knights. Them braking up is honestly for the best since Julie has a boyfriend that can actually give her the attention she wants (who I should note she basically got behind Ben's back since he thought they were still together prior to them meeting again in Omniverse).

Contrary to Julie, Ben has never ONCE complained about Julie being gone for long stretches of time for tennis matches. All things considered and given the context of Ben's life... he's a fantastic love interest that has his priorities right. You can always have another date, all those lives lost during inaction? Gone forever. The Ben 10 setting isn't one that makes death cheap as I pointed out here, it sticks.

I don't know why it's so hard to give him a love interest that understands his life style. He literally goes WEEKS without a break, pulls multiple all nighters, and has constant nightmares. The only love interest that does so is Eunice and she unfortunately messes with the Omnitrix and thus Ben's lifestyle through no intentional fault of her own.

Every other love interest fails spectacularly.
