When the WCK aid workers were killed, I said nothing would change, they wouldn't get justice, their families wouldn't get justice. There was some noise and I hoped I was wrong, but has anything changed? Was there any kind of justice?
Now we have this situation unfolding:
Tumblr media
To attempt to evacuate these doctors, they have to do a trial run to see if Israel will shoot the UN/international aid workers:
Monica Johnston, a nurse volunteering at the hospital, said that a primary concern of those who will be leaving is that new humanitarian workers be allowed in, otherwise the hospital campus is more likely to get overrun by the Israel Defense Forces. The plan, she said, is for the U.N. to do a test run from the hospital to the border Tuesday, only carrying U.N. staff. If those staff are not killed by the IDF — as one international employee was on Monday — then on Wednesday two medical staff will be taken to the border, and two new volunteers will be allowed in to replace them, and so on in coming days.
Tumblr media
In the UN vehicle that might have rescued them:
Tumblr media
One of the surgeons trapped, in fact, the one who said he'd seen more child amputations in the last two weeks than in his entire career before, saved Tammy Duckworth's life in Iraq 20 years ago.
Tumblr media
""Save him." Save him from who? Our ally.
That nurse quoted above about the trial run, Monica Johnston, had more to say in this interview on NPR:
Monica Johnston, a burn nurse from Portland, Ore., had been treating Zain, the 7-year-old patient, since he was admitted last Wednesday with blast injuries that left 90% of his body burned. He never regained consciousness and died early Sunday morning. "When they took him to the morgue to prep his body all his burns were infested with maggots," she said. ' I just want to help. We all just want to help. But we have no tools to do it." ... "I came thinking we could do some good, despite our webinars and preparation explaining how dire the situation was here," said Johnston, a nurse with 20 years of experience. "But as time goes on we're all feeling absolutely useless and helpless and hopeless. It feels like everyone we see in the ICU ends up dying." ... Most of the American medical staff are experienced conflict zone volunteers. This was Johnston's first mission. She said she came because her skills as a burn nurse were needed — but nothing prepared her for the things she would have to do. She said after changing dressings for Zain, the 7-year-old, she decided not to continue the extremely painful process. "You know, I think the local staff understood because I think they've seen that pattern of death. But some of my teammates were taken aback," said Johnston, 44. "It was so hard to get across that it's not that I'm giving up on him. But if I do his dressings as often as they need to, to stay clean, I will deplete our entire wound care resources just on him.

Tips for Pagan Parents
This post is for all the parents that follow a pagan or witchcraft path! Tips and tricks.
-Build a community of support around yourself. Resources for pagan parents are incredibly limited. To help make those parenting challenges easier on you, give yourself a place to turn to on those bad days! Join a Pagan Parenting Facebook group, or something along those lines!
-Start a “Spiritual Scouts” group! This is a group of young children (like boy or girl scouts) that do Pagan activities and you can even make up your own badges and have your own ceremonies.
-Bring a little magic into your child’s life -Embrace your child’s imagination -Bring Nature into your child’s everyday life.
-Involve your child in your faith. -Most pagan parents are not looking to push their personal beliefs on their children. Involving them in your faith and/or practice is a great way to help them find their own path! Help them celebrate the holidays and answer any questions they ask. Help them build their own set of Magickal tools like building their own set of Runes.
Some Everyday Tips and Tricks:
1. Transportation Magick: Most parents are busy driving their kids around from place to place. Mix in a little Magick! Play your favorite witchy music, look for divine messages on license plates or in the clouds, and talk to your guides once the kids have left the vehicle. Some good Magickal and folklore podcasts on Spotify: The Midnight Library and Supernatural. Use essential oils in your car, peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus depending on the mood.
2. Morning Blessings: In the morning, bless your coffee, tea, and breakfast by drawing sigils or symbols over them. Pray to your goddess (or deity) while getting ready in the morning. If you are an early riser, spend some time at your altar! If you are not a morning person, Try evening rituals instead!
3. Quick Divination: This is a great way to add Magick to any moment and connect with the divine. Read nature signs outside, try a rune or tarot mobile app for practice and knowledge. Listen to the songs stores play!
4. Lunch Break: Take the time to yourself and eat a lunch outside. Enjoy fresh air and connect with nature. If you have time, go for a short walk! Listen to a meditation podcast through earphones or just listen to nature! If your kids are with you, take them for a walk too! We look for items to bring home, pinecones, acorns, cool rocks. Look for anything Magickal!
5. Add Magick to your chores: I have an entire post about this—View on my Page "Turning the Mundane into the Magickal"
6. Cooking Magick Meals: If you are a kitchen witch, You got this covered! Consider learning how to add intention into your meals, work with culinary herbs, make teas, and more. Get the kids involved! Make moon cookies, craft fairy offerings, etc.

Their names
Frank Thomas e Ollie Johnston
Some biographical information like what their job was, time period spent in the animation industry. etc
Thomas was born on September 5, 1912, in Santa Monica, California, and grew up in Fresno. He attended Stanford University, where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. After graduating from Stanford in 1933, he attended Chouinard Art Institute, and then he joined The Walt Disney Company in 1934. While at Stanford University, Frank would make a very important lifelong friend—another future Disney artist, Ollie Johnston. He worked as an animator in movies like Brave Little Tailor.
Oliver Martin Johnston Jr was born on October 31, 1912, in Palo Alto, California, and he was a motion pictures animator. He worked on the Walt Disney Studios from 1934 to 1978, and became a directing animator in Pinocchio. The last film he worked on was The Fox and the Hound.
What information can be found about them: online, in books, journal articles, etc
There is the documentary "Frank and Ollie" found on Disney +, and also the book Working With Walt.
Why did you pick them?
One of my favorite documentaries is Frank and Ollie, and since I watched it and started the book The Illusion of Life, I nurture a huge admiration for them, so this was the best opportunity to write about my two favorite old men in Disney.
What did you learn from their interview?
When we look at these amazing, almost unreachable artists, we think of them as legends, and assume they knew other legends, like Walt Disney. It seems obvious, but reading the interview made Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston seem more similar to you and me than to an inaccessible legend. Frank himself wasn't even close to Walt, having only seen him a couple of times. Suddenly, the man we thought of as a worldwide-known businessman felt more relatable. Frank and Ollie were amazing artists, but the interesting thing about the interview and the documentary, which I highly recommend, is getting close to the artists' minds and seeing their humanity up close.
