here’s a bunch of random hcs that I don’t think I’ve talked about much hehe :33 (mix of modern/canon/everything aus lol):

arospec/allo barty x allo/acespec evan is my fav thing ever (demiromantic pansexual barty and gay aceflux evan more specifically :3 )

every one in a while (idk how often people touch up their hair lol) they have a “hairdye night” where they put on a show or music on one of their phones and they camp out in the bathroom for a few hours and dye each other’s hair/touch up each other’s roots

continuing off of that last one, barty’s the type of person that mega panics when his roots are showing he needs to dye it IMMEDIATELY no one can know he’s a natural blonde (everyone knows) while evan is the type to not care at all and have it grow out for like 4 months before going “eh I should probably re-bleach it,,,,” the only reason he does it as often as he does it cause they dye their hair together or else he’d forget/procrastinate to no end

evan drives but only cause barty’s the most awful reckless fastest driver in the world and evan doesn’t wanna crash and die

barty collects rings + cool knives and evan collects figurines + physical media and together they collect lego

they're the absolute most annoying couple in the world holy fuck all their friends are so done with them and strangers on the street hate them (not cause of homophobia just cause why are they kissing on the middle of the sidewalk I’m trying to walk here) they’re so clingy and affectionate the pda is insane

they INVENTED best friends to lovers they’re the absolute ultimate yearners

barty’s catholic and evan’s an atheist but he goes to church w barty on the important days (christmas eve, easter, etc) cause “if it’s important to barty it’s important to me”

they like going to conventions and matching cosplays (this might just be projecting lol,,,,,,,,,,,) (a lot of my evan thoughts are,,,,,,, 😭)

strangers and acquaintances see them as the same person, they think they have the same personality and interests and everything, but to close friends and each other they’re complete opposites

they can spend hours and hours and hours and hours just yapping to each other about anything and everything and they never run out of things to talk about

they bicker constantly but they very very very rarely ever actually fight (had all their big fights before they got together and learnt how to navigate them and communicate properly through those experiences so once they got together they were already masters at deescalating disagreements)

barty didn’t sleep for over a week straight after evan died, not until he literally fainted from exhaustion and he would hallucinate evan’s blood on his hands and his dead broken body lying wherever he went

their daughter calls barty dad/daddy and evan papa

their “getting together” was very VERY rocky at the start there was a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding and assumptions that weren’t true and fear and guilt and just all the things but they eventually figured it out and it turned into one of the healthiest relationships ever

they like to have little spontaneous dance parties in their living room just the 2 of them :3

Pfft dope my two hyperfixations in one ask hahahah

But hey anyways, most of these are Explorers tho bc I like it more than any pmd game and I actually know more abt it than other pmd games so hey hope that's cool hahah

Lance - does not understand the games and how to play it whatsoever, like,, he legitimately couldn't get past the first ever mission of RT (to save Caterpie), thinks the gameplay is confusing. He does watch the others play it tho, and to no surprise he liked the story of RT, tho he fucking hates Team ACT and Team Meanies, mf hates everyone in Pokémon Square bc they turned against the Hero and Partner. So in a nutshell he's just "team Meanies? Team ACT? The Pokémon Square folks? I see no difference, I hate them all." Will have a fucking field day if he ever finds out abt Team Skull in Explorers hahaha

Steven - also thinks the gameplay is a bit confusing, but he's no quitter. Always chooses the Water starters for his partner and names them after Wallace. Likes hoarding items ngl, also the type to choose rescue and delivery missions rather than outlaw missions. He really likes collecting the orbs and of all the items he has, he doesn't want to use the orbs and waste them, he also likes collecting pkmn specific items and always tries to find treasure boxes. Thinks the Aegis Cave mission is fun and everyone just gave him this look, but ofc they kinda expected that from him

Wallace - cheated on the personality test to get any of the Water type starters, named his partner after Steven. Absolutely hates the delivery missions, saying why can't he just keep the rare stuff and leave the ones asking for it, he deserves it. Encounters Monster Houses every other room and he fucking hated it so much, he got Iris to get him a modded version of the game without the Monster Houses, his luck is that bad. But hey, he does like the game tho, but idt he'd actually play the special episodes thinking they're nonesense. Only recruited the Hoenn legendaries in the Seven Treasures mission.

Cynthia - also cheated on the personality test to get Riolu. Finished the game within two days. And when I say finished it I mean she really did unlock every location and recruited every pkmn (yeah, even Kecleon), loves Spinda's cafe and if she could she would always save her game there. Ditched her partner pkmn (except the hero Lucario) the moment she recruited Gabite, and since then she recruited the other members of her team. Kinda sad she couldn't have a six member party, but hey, she's vibing w it, at least she can still use Garchomp. Actively seeks out Monster Houses bc she loves the challenge with it, and said it's fun seeing them all go down w Garchomp's Earthquake

Iris - the biggest Gates apologist you will ever get to meet. Like, she absolutely loves the fact she can play as Axew, tho she doesn't like how the partner options are a bit limited, but hey at least it's pkmn that's native in Unova. Will defend Hydreigon with all that she is, if anyone would say shit abt Hydreigon she will throw hands, that's just a sweet Muppet boii wanting to help okay, he ain't done shit. Same like Steven, hoards the items, says "well, maybe I can use it in a more important fight later!" Also a Kyurem apologist let's be real.

Diantha - the one to actually introduce the games to the others, names her partner in every game after Geeta, and ugly cries whenever the Hero and Partner gets separated at the end of every game. Actually really honest in the personality test, and settles w what she's gonna get even if it's a pkmn she doesn't like much, but it is nice she's able to just choose her starters in the recent games. She likes SMD, loves the mega evolution ofc so it's her preferred game, but she does play the other games from time to time, especially Explorers since it's what the majority of the champions played. She hates RT tho, like,,, she really does. She said "all that buildup at the end where Hero wanted to stay for Partner and after that they're like normal recruits! What's the point of all that then?!"

Hau - absolutely loves EoS and likes doing the outlaw missions to everyone's surprise, said it's nice being able to catch bad guys and get rewarded after, he doesn't like the Monster House missions tho. Actually doesn't like Chatot, even at the end he doesn't like him, even Loudred, no one knows why he just doesn't like them. He thinks Wigglytuff is cool tho, and was so relieved to see Wigglytuff kinda save him and his partner in Fogbound Lake. Only played Wigglytuff's and Bidoof's special episodes. Also the biggest fan of Bidoof, a bit sad he couldn't really recruit the Bidoof from the guild, so he recruited one for his own team. He actually didn't evolve his team, he said they look better as they are

Leon - gets lost in every dungeon even after Iris got him a modded game with a layout of the map of the entire dungeon on the top screen, but surprisingly finds every hidden stairs and secret bazaars and treasure rooms, he finds those more than the actual stairs heading to the next dungeon floor. Couldn't really finish the game in its entirety even after he got so far, as he gets frustrated about the map layout of the dungeon, so ends up watching the others play it instead. He ended up just watching or reading more abt the story of each game than actually play them, and by far Gates and EoS are his faves

Geeta - played it for Dia and names her partner there after her too. Didn't really finish the games, didn't even play all of them except for EoS and SMD, and she didn't even get that far on both games. Ofc, that wasn't really a problem for her, as she'd just watch Diantha play and she'd just tell her everything that's going on in the game, so she kinda knows a lot abt it too. She did cheat on the personality test on EoS, she wanted a starter that she thinks is strong and would reset the game if she doesn't get what she wanted. Encountered a Monster House once, got bodied so hard and she hated every second of it bc she didn't expect a Monster House to show up early in the game

there’s not a day where he fails to find a new activity to entertain your children even as they grow older

from newborn to first day of kindergarten, yudai wants to have fun with his kids 

he’ll definitely put them in dance classes when they’re little, but if dance isn’t their thing, that’s fine too!

would always encourage sports and physical activity as main hobbies so that his kids can create memories outdoors while staying active 

and he will never miss a game

his children will also be best dressed, taking after their father’s fashion

he loves to dress up his kids and picks the cutest matching outfits for them as well

pokemon was the toy of choice since his child was still in the womb, and heck, you probably have a pokemon themed nursery, as well as plushies, clothes, and other toys

his kid’s favourite pokemons are probably snorlax or mudkip which goes adorably for buying things

frankly fuma is out of control with it

his son loves it, he himself is obsessed with it, there’s no cap on the budget when it comes to bonding with his child over the simple collectibles 

he’s the best at introducing new foods to his son, even when he’s scared to try something

seeing his dad eat it and make it look like the yummiest thing always works like a charm

you have your husband to thank for getting your toddler to actually enjoy vegetables 

although fuma is a bit paranoid about his child’s health

and absolutely panics whenever his son is sick

he’s not the type to fuss over “healthy” food— as long as his son is eating and getting the nutrients he needs, fuma will absolutely allow sweet treats

speaking of worrying, fuma is a huge worrier :(

he can’t help but be concerned over the littlest things when it comes to his son 

very protective over him, but also gives him advice and guidance and is easily the best role model you could ask for your son to have

has to always encourage his son to make new friends or try new things

because his little boy is just so hesitant and afraid of so many things

nicholas wants to show his son how fun things can be as well as dispelling the fear that his kid has

this takes little baby steps and hand holding, but nicholas is the best at being patient and comforting with his son

always tries to give his son a healthy push, but when it gets overwhelming, he understands as well

every small milestone is celebrated like it’s a big deal

because to nicholas, it is

every time he sees his son smile, his heart bursts in his chest 

he has the closest bond imaginable with his child, and as such, often spends time playing with him alone even after he’s reached the age that most kids would want to play with their friends

will sing and play guitar or piano with his son, which is one of the few things that isn’t so terrifying to his little brain 

even when a wrong note is pressed, the two can laugh it off together and enjoy the process of learning new songs together

he will scold her when she does something wrong, although it breaks his heart to see her pout and tears

he’s the best at comforting her as well, and it seems as if there’s no safer place than in her father’s arms

loves to play dress up with his daughter, whether it’s a princess tea party or dinosaur onesies 

tries to learn how to do his daughter’s hair, to varying success

but he is the best at picking out bows or cute hair accessories for her

reads a bedtime story to her every night, and sometimes has to think of his own stories off the top of his head when his little girl insists on making a new story together

loves to go on walks with his kid or plan cute picnics

peels oranges for his daughter, they’re her favourite fruit

she likes to eat the segments from biggest to smallest saving the cutest piece of orange for last

this man is a girl dad and he creates the sassiest child by accident

every time his daughter shows you attitude, he has to remind her that it’s no way to treat her mother

you blame yuma for your daughter’s sassiness

yuma is convinced it was partly you as well

either way, you have a bold and cheeky toddler on your hands, and dealing with her can be hard work 

fighting her sassiness with more sassiness only works part of the time

gentle words aren’t too effective, yet strongly worded ones often give the opposite affect yuma and you intend

whenever yuma has to introduce his daughter to new people, he’s always a little nervous about how she’ll behave

but he quickly figures out that she knows when and where she can have attitude, and puts on the perfect princess act around strangers

 it makes yuma laugh and also slightly impresses him the grasp his daughter has on people already 

despite it sometimes feeling like fighting fire with fire, yuma and his kid have a very close bond

and he would protect her from anything 

he’s proud of the things she can do as well— her sassy sarcastic attitude shows how smart she really is, and witty as well

although she may not use it for the most perfect reasons

yuma can always joke around and laugh with his kid, his humour matching his daughter’s perfectly

and sometimes he enjoys seeing who can be sassier (it is always his daughter)

• Various members of the Shaw Pack are fans of the Telltale games. Ash and Milo previously played The Wolf Among Us together while in college. They invited David who wasn’t super interested at the time.

• Once a week for a few months, the Shaw Pack would get together and play through The Walking Dead: The Game. Clementine was declared the pack’s baby and by the end of Episode 5, there was not a single dry eye in the house.

• Angel, Baaabe, Sweetheart, and Sam all have a Stardew Valley world together.

-Angel runs that world like a tight ship. I’m talking spreadsheets, notebooks, a chest in every villager’s house with favored items, the whole shebang.

-Baaaabe and Sweetheart go mining together and will sometimes end up accidentally blowing up either one or both of themselves with bombs.

-Sam’s the fisherman. He finds it peaceful, though sometimes his mic picks up his furious clicking. If he’s not fishing, he’s foraging or tending to the crops/animals. He’s always the first one out the door to pet all the animals every day.

• Darlin’s not much of a gamer, but they like watching Sam play with the other mates. On a quieter night when Darlin’ doesn’t have a gig, they’ll shift and lay around on the couch, watching Sam’s little character run around. They let out a little huff of playful fake jealousy every time Sam gives a gift to a villager. This is usually met with a chuckle and head scratches.

• Lovely likes playing indie games. Hades, Hotline Miami, Undertale, Limbo, Hollow Knight, Mouthwashing. Their current fixation is Balatro and right now, they’re playing through Spiritfarer with Vincent. Eventually, they plan to get Vince to play It Takes Two and Split Fiction with them.

• Damien is not much of a gamer, but he is an enjoyer of soulslike games. He’s also a bit of a completionist. So far he’s 100% on Elden Ring, Dark Souls 1&2, and Lies of P. He’s currently playing Sekiro and plans on playing Black Myth: Wukong after finishing Sekiro.

- Huxley once asked Damien why he liked the soulslike games and Damien told him they were relaxing. That was probably the first and only time Hux has ever looked judgmental of him.

• Dear and Freelancer play Schedule 1 together. They frequently delight in giving their products the most unserious names. Freelancer’s the grower/cooker, Dear is the dealer (and also the one who goes around punching cops and then riding away on their skateboard cackling evilly). Without consulting each other, they both inadvertently went with v-neck, jorts, and sandals for character creation and brush out into laughter when they saw each other.

• During Damn Crew hangouts, Gavin once commented on their lack of diversity in games they play. In response to that, Lasko found and purchased an Xbox 360 with Kinect and now game night also come with a delightful Just Dance 2022 portion of the night. You’ve never seen 6 adults lock the fuck in so quickly.

• Speaking of Lasko, now that he’s gotten more confident in himself, that’ll sometimes come out in games, but very specifically, in Overcooked. He makes the gameplan in his head and he’ll assign people to specific positions and make them make plenty of dishes beforehand, knowing the timer doesn’t start until they start serving.

• Hush LOVES the Pokémon Games. He saw Doc’s GBA sitting on a bookshelf and asked them about it one day. Doc spent the rest of the day explaining (read:gushing) the world of Pokémon and teaching him the basics of Pokémon Emerald. Hush’s favorite Gen 3 starter is Mudkip. (Not biased :3)

• David, Christian, and Arden play Apex together. David’s a Bloodhound/Pathfinder player, Christian’s an Octane/Mirage player, and Arden’s a Wraith main.

• Ollie once tried Genshin Impact for 20 minutes and then uninstalled. He didn’t like it. He felt it was too much like Breath of the Wild. He did like Kaeya’s design though.

• Elliott plays the Assassin’s Creed series. He really liked Black Flag and Odyssey. He refuses to engage with the AC fandom because he finds it toxic and annoying and it’s much more enjoyable when he doesn’t have people whining in his ear about how awful it is.

• Lasko once left The Stanley Parable open overnight and came back super late after work to find an achievement he was never expecting to get.

• Anton plays the Sims every so often where he’ll build his and Love’s dream house and has them living together in it.

• If there’s a game with in-depth main character creation, Elliott spends a lot of time trying to recreate Sunshine in those so he can have them with him on his adventures. Sunshine finds it a little weird to see themselves on screen, but they also find it endearing to see how much attention and care Eli puts into it.

• Milo plays scary games even though he hates them because he knows what kind of awful shit Sweetheart sees on a day to day basis and watching him freak out for a couple of hours is fine with him if it gets their mind off things. Sweetheart also gets a little freaked out by these games, but they’re better at hiding it. Milo’s reactions and commentary keeps them cool and grounded.

• Baaabe has a switch and plays the Yakuza games on it when they cuddle with Asher. Ash loves to feel how engrossed they get in the game when they clutch his fur in shock or they actually sit up and show him the screen, going “Babe, can you believe this??” to which he’ll give a sniff of disbelief, even if he doesn’t really know what’s going on.

• Blake plays rhythm games. Or, I guess, played. Not much time for Osu with a very present being in your head.

• Aaron is just a tetris god??? He’s really good at tetris. His 40 line clear is 0:54.

-This isn’t a headcanon, I just feel the need to share this with you guys, I was looking up the WR on 40 line clear to make sure I wasn’t being super egregious about how fast Aaron could clear it and the WR is 13.650 SECONDS? I am a former Tetris enthusiast and that processing speed is absolutely insane to me.

• Dear is the best at Wordle, Connections, and the Crossword. So far, they have a 72 day streak, with Huxley at 41, and Lasko at 39.

• Guy hates horror movies and Honey is ok with them, the same thing happens with video games. However, Guy’s able to handle it a little better when he watches Honey play horror games. He still gets grossed out by all of the gratuitous gore. When Honey began switching up tactics throughout the current game, he questioned why their playstyle was changing so drastically repeatedly and was absolutely horrified to find out that the Xenomorph’s AI learned from how the player played.

• David and Milo hate Back 4 Blood. (;-;) Asher was fine with it, but they just couldn’t get with the deck system and found it too bloated and unmanageable. They enjoyed the simplicity of shoot zombies.

Early - Mid game: Haha look I'm a mudkip! Can't wait to see what shenanigans we get up to!

Mid - End game: God is dead and we have killed him. The blood is on our hands, and we must ask ourselves: Was it worth it? Was it worth it to defy the inevitability of fate, for a mere glimpse of a brighter future?

End - post game: Even now as I must look down the barrel of the gun, I do not back down and I hold no regrets. If I die here then I know it will be for a good reason and all I have to regret is that I could not have done more.

Post-postgame: Haha look I evolved! Now I'm a marshtomp!

I think I've mentioned this once or twice before, but it really does my heart good to know that the 2003 turtles would have grown up with the first four Pokemon gens. Pokemon Red and Blue had its North American release in September 28, 1998, when the turtles were around 10, and Diamond and Pearl came out stateside on April 22, 2007 when they were 19, so they would have been able to spend their entire pre-teen/teenage years playing the games.

I'd imagine that, at least for the first two gens, it was difficult for all four of them to have their own copies of the games because of their isolated lifestyle and just not being able to get new things most of the time. Hell, the only reason they even had a Gameboy color was because Splinter managed to find a broken one during an excursion to the junkyard and brought it back so Don could fix it up. Once they met April and Casey though? Well, simply put; Casey went out of his way to save money so he could get all of them Game Boy Advance SPs and copies of Ruby and Sapphire. The four of them were DELIGHTED to finally all have their own games and would spend HOURS in a turtle pile running around Hoenn. There were even times Splinter would wake up in the morning and discover they had all fallen asleep and that the batteries on their consoles had died... which was horrifying for the ones who occasionally forgot to save at regular intervals. Either way, wonderful moments of levity for all of them.

Some additional thoughts:

Leo always got weirdly attached to the starters his brothers never wanted to pick. Like c'mon guys, what's wrong with Chikorita? Look at that little dinosaur! We're going with Cyndaquil? Okay...

Naturally, he made a beeline straight for Treecko when he was able to play his own copy of Sapphire. He also has a stupid love for little Turtwig because, well, turtle/tortoise.

With his own game copies, Don always goes with water type starters. Doesn't know why; he was just drawn to the likes of Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, and Piplup, no questions asked.

Both Raph and Mikey SWEAR by fire starters. Hell, when they found out about the issue of the lack of fire types in Sinnoh, they tried to make a pact that all four brothers would go with Chimchar (Leo and Don refused.)

It goes without saying that Mikey is the most hardcore Pokemon player. Bases his team purely on their effectiveness in battle, only uses Pokemon with perfect IVs, goes out of his way to fill the entire PokeDex, plenty of shiny hunting, etc; once Nuzlocke runs become a thing in his adulthood, he DEFINITELY has fun with those.

Raph and Don, polar opposite twins that they are, are kinda funny. Raph is definitely a competitive Pokemon player, but he doesn't really bother with stuff like IVs. Don is more casual, but he still goes out of his way to find Pokemon with good IVs so he can kick Mikey's ass. (That said, both do sometimes pick their teams based on looks rather than their general stats; Raph likes to go for Pokemon that look tough while Don will throw something like a Masquerain or Spheal with an Everstone onto his team.)

Leo is the casual player who gets way too attached to the Pokemon on his team. He doesn't care if there are better Grass types out there, he is keeping that Shroomish, damn it!

There was definitely one occasion where Casey and April came in to visit and stepped in on the horror that is the link cable accidentally coming loose from one of the Game Boys. All four brothers were traumatized since the double battle between the Sunrise and Magenta Duo had reached its peak with Leo and Raph having been knocked out while Mikey and Don's final Pokemon were both in the red with Mikey having a type advantage over Don (though Don was looking oddly smug about the whole thing.)

Not sure if anyone else has asked you this question elsewhere, but do you have any personal favorite fan-artists among the Gravity Falls, Amphibia, & Hilda fandoms, be it here on Tumblr or other platforms?

Truth be told, I love almost all the artist who make great content for Gravity Falls. These are people who are so talented, so amazing and so passionate about their work and I can only ever hope to be close to that with my own content via GF videos. It's hard therefore to pick a real favourite. I'm not as into the fandoms of Hilda and Amphibia as I am with Gravity Falls, so I can't tbh 100% pick a favourite artist from those show's fandoms.

But with GF...I think recently these days with artists still making regular GF art, folks like stephreynaart, artsymeeshee, demico-art and cherryviolets are my favourites. Been a fan of their work for years and I'm not only grateful to see their amazing art and them continuing to contribute to the fandom with their amazing work, but also their kindness. I've had the pleasure to talk with them all on occasion and they are some of the nicest and most kind souls you can ever meet.

Outside of active artists, there are a few who no longer make GF art or are that in the fandom, who I was a fan of back when I first joined the fandom. Artists like Moringmark of course for his many iconic comics, hntrgurl13 for her GF art back in 2017-2019 that was some of my favourite in the fandom at time (given she was one of the most consistent active GF artists then), turquoisespace35 for her GF comics and back in the day being basically THE Dipcifica artist lol, and also Kiki-Kit, though my opinion on her is these days a lot more conflicted and difficult to praise given the ongoing commissions drama with her (fun fact, it literally took me reaching out to someone else she knows for her to finally fucking respond to me last month and even now she still hasn't gotten back to me when I asked her for a refund).

A few other iconic GF artists I wanna also mention who I loved seeing art from are Purblethinkin, Alina-923, mudkipful, AgentKelly13, athenoot from my GF Amino years, MF99K, sailorleo/hellspawnmotel, skidar, and more.

Oh, speaking of @athenoot, I just wanna give her a bit of extra praise given we used to be both GF Amino members, lol.

Back in the day, she was behind the Gravity Falls Amino launch image which still is up on there for the like 5 people who still use the trash Amino app, lol!

She also made these hilarious Gravity Falls parody art of the Gumball episode "The Remote," based on a series of posts I made back in 2018 of Spongebob scripts but with GF characters playing them. It was super funny and something I still remember well.

She also is part of the reason I love Mabel and Ford bonding so much, given she made a ton of Mabel and Ford bonding art on GFA back then, one I also remember for a Mabel and Ford bonding fanfic that I partly helped get made.

So yeah, great artist who you all should follow, similarly with nearly all the artist I've mentioned here as they all have made some amazing stuff for Gravity Falls :P

Hi, I was the anon who had the idea of Skunktank running into Merit and Constance and idk if my ask made it through. I hope it didn’t, because I was not finished typing lmao-

But I imagine Skunktank doesn’t know much about Ruby’s past. She doesn’t want to talk about it. He does remember there was a period of time where Opal looked devastated, and that she wouldn’t explain what happened. Ruby showed up in Twig’s and Ark’s care not too long after. It’s only a little later he just happens to catch Ruby’s illusion waver a little, and he sees these . . . Scars. Scars that shouldn’t ever be on a child. He thinks that maybe, just maybe, that he saw it wrong, but he gnaws at the back of his head until he pulls Twig aside and tells her that maybe Ruby should be taken to the doctor, because he thinks he saw some scarring. Twig takes a deep inhale, pausing to find the words, and the longer she takes, the more dread Skunktank feels.

Eventually Twig tells him that they know about the scars, and that Ruby is recovering. She’s safe, so it’s best not to ask either of the girls about it. When Skunktank presses — out of concern, a rare sight from him — Twig tells him it’s not her story to tell. After another brief pause, she continues and says that she would appreciate it if he kept an eye out for two Hisuian Zoroarks — one normal, one shiny — always together with matching burn scars. She doesn’t want Skunktank to do anything other than tell her and Ark where they are and if they’re coming anywhere close to the village. That’s it. Do NOT do anything else. If he won’t listen for Twig, listen for Ruby and Opal.

Skunktank can’t get anymore information, so he lets it go for now. Ruby is safe and healthy, so that’s all that matters. If anyone can keep her safe, it’s legendary battler Twig and nightmare bringer Ark. It’s put in the back of his mind. Some time later, when he’s away from the village, he bumps into two Pokémon with burn scars all over their hands. When they fall, their illusions drop and reveal two Hisuian Zoroarks, their burn scars still remaining. Skunktank sees their claws, and his mind flashes back to the shape of Ruby’s scars and Twig’s warning. He knows who they are now. He looks at them, and he can’t help but feel sick. He’s nauseated. He wonders if he’s staring at another imagine of himself — a version that went too far. A version that would have just shrugged their shoulders at the thought of those little Azurill and Marill kids going into the Amp Plains to get their treasure back, uncaring if they got hurt. A version of themselves that got two kids in the form of a Mudkip and Charmander hurt.

These two are attempted murderers, free to go due to lack of evidence, leaving their baby sister with scars from a wound that it was a miracle that she survived from.

It’s no wonder Twig hates him. He’s looking into some distorted mirror — one that’s not entirely accurate, but still displays a general image — and he hates what he’s looking at too.

Hi! I've never run a poll blog before, but I like the "do you know this character" type blogs and I searched and didn't find one for ADHD characters so I decided I'd make one!

Out of curiosity, how did you come up with the ideas for your Pokemon picks?

The way I came up with them was mostly what i felt they'd like if they played the games. With slight if they were real. I heavily thank @antiquecandlekitty for motivating me to do this. Stellar artist ngl :]

My reasoning behind a few was uh: Dee would probably be every child in their pokemon phase, so the Eeveelutions just feel right, I thought Flareon or Sylveon. Flareon, because it probably reminded her for her brothers. Sylveon because she's Cutesie and Apparently can calm people down? (From what I remember)

Jack feels like a Fire and Rock type User so I thought Vulpix or any from the Fennekin line. (I regret looking up pokemon dsaf for multiple reasons)

For Peter I thought he'd use Fighting types mostly because of how aggressive he could be in game... HE LITTERALY STRANGLES YOU ATLEAST ONCE, and Matchamp was my first though, just some chill guys ready to kick ass if provoked.

For Dave I originally thought Water types.. it was like 1AM when I thought of such so I was half asleep and off my head. (I was probably being lazy..) this all started in some Dsaf Confession, find it if you want. I 100% think he'd HATE object pokemon. Originally I thought Mudkip and Lucario for some reason.. @antiquecandlekitty suggested poison types.. makes alot more sence so I searched up poison types, saw Abrok and just couldn't get my mind off them together, and uh... Weedle for the shitz 'n' gigglez.

For Steven I searched up fox pokemon.. uh. That simple! I saw Thievul and knew they'd be perfect. He did have an army of Foxys in the flipside so it makes sence on my behalf.

I also recently imagined Steven riding Theivul off into the sunset with an army of Nickits following behind.. I might draw that fully

Hi! Been reading for a while and I decided to ask, are you including certain animal behaviours with specific pokemon? Like based on what Flygon said and how fae are in this universe, is fae characteristics more like reptiles? Does this apply to other pokemon that can be attributed to animals in our earth? Sorry if this has been explained before!

Uhhhhhhh! Good question. I do like to incorporate animal traits into pokemon, cause they read to me as magical superpowered animals even in PMD settings where they like build houses and stuff. Like yeah, that fae lore was originally pulled from irl reptiles, though for this comic I actually stole that bit of worldbuilding from another story about dragons I wrote a few years ago. Poochyenas wag their tails, mudkips love to swim, taillows live in big flocks, etc. The whole thing about tribes in FYRverse is basically inspired by animal herds.

FYR worldbuilding is like a weird amalgamation of animal characteristics, PMD worldbuilding, and inspiration from irl and human society. On top of it all, I'm not actually that good of a worldbuilder anymore, so shit kinda gets confusing lol.

I would still like a Optimus, Bumblebee and Smokescreen x female Pokémon trainer reader

How about for context, let’s say that the auto bots are detecting all the commotion being caused by the reader and her Pokémon when they are training and since they don’t know anything about Pokémon, they would be confused at first, and try to protect the reader from her Pokémon only for her to have to explain what Pokémon is to them. 

As for the little cherry on top, I’d honestly love to see what each of them think of Pokémon like, as in what their personal opinion of them is. Maybe even stating which one they would say is their favorite Pokémon.

If you would like any suggestions for any kind of Pokémon to appear, might I suggest Eevee and Lucario? Those are some of my favorite Pokémon so I figured if you wanted Pokémon suggestions I’d suggest them.

•First he thinks the little creatures that seem to be fighting each other are going to hurt you, so he scoops you up and tries to take you away from your pokemon

•You of course protest, and tell him to put you down

•Smokescreen thought the two pokemon were some weird dogs but dogs don’t walk on two legs and when he gets a closer look, the smaller one doesn’t quite look like a dog either

•He wasn’t going to hurt the little animals(?) he just wanted to keep you safe

•You of course have to explain to him that they’re not animals, they’re pokemon

•Smokes is of course interested in what exactly these so called “pokemon” do and what they mean to you since they seem to also be very protective of you

•When he picked you up to protect you from them, they tried to save you by attacking him but you stopped them

•Your pokemon friends don’t particularly seem to like Smokescreen, but he doesn’t really notice

•Smokescreen doesn’t really get what the difference between pokemon and normal animals is, but he thinks it’s great you have such companions to keep you safe

•Optimus is of course not familiar with pokemon, he just thought they were some odd animals

•But you explain the whole thing to him, the pokemon, training them and how you battle other trainers

•Optimus asks how you got your pokemon and you ended up also explaining the whole starter pokemon thing, your starter pokemon was Mudkip and you’ve collected other pokemon over the years, like Eevee and Lucario

•He doesn’t really get the whole “battling other trainers” thing, because he doesn’t like unnecessary fighting, but he doesn’t tell you that, since it seems like it’s such a normal thing to you

•Optimus thinks the pokemon are quite fascinating and he finds the whole training thing interesting

•Your pokemon seem to actually be quite interested in Optimus as well, probably because he’s not anything they’ve seen before, and since he seems to be important to you they also want him to be safe
