Knights of Walpurgis is such an interesting concept to me because I imagine them to be nothing like Death Eaters.

I like to think of the Knights of Walpurgis as not Lord Voldemort’s first followers but as Tom Riddle’s only friends.

To me they are Slytherin boys in Tom’s year: Malfoy, Lestrange, Mulciber, Avery, Rosier, Nott & Riddle.

They first became acquaintances and then quickly became friends– and only agreed to be called Knights of Walpurgis because they thought their group lacked an aesthetic name.

They were a warm knit of Slytherins and Tom basked in their presence. They were his friends and his family and there was a time– before killing curses and tattered bits of soul– when Tom Riddle was truly happy.

"On a scale of one to ten, how likely is it that one of the dads is going to get drunk and go off the hook?"

"Is there a number above ten that I can use?"

"No."

"Then ten, like you even have to ask." I reply with a grin at the absurd question. Every time there's a party one of the dads get drunk and off the hook, last time it was Avery Sr. His wife had to pull him off the table. I ask, "The question isn't if, it's who."

"Avery." Sirius replies looking at the man, smiling, no doubt picturing his red face wife trying to pull him down the table where he's swinging his tie on. I scoff, "Two times in a row? No way. I think Mrs. Avery has him drinking apple juice tonight."

"Well then who do you think it is?" Sirius asks, and I hum. I look around the room, looking for the older men. Mulciber has been drinking a lot tonight, but he's talking to Malfoy which means business so no way it's him. Then I hit the jackpot. I grin and say, "Your father."

"My father? No way, he's never gone crazy ever." Sirius scoffs and leans back in his chair. I lean closer to his side and start to explain as I fix my eyes to Mr. Black. I explain, "He's gone flushed, and he's not talking anymore which means that he knows that he's going to slur on his words, and he's already taken off his jacket."

"I think you're an idiot and that it's going to be Nott." Sirius says, and I punch him in the arm for calling me and idiot, then shake my head. I tut, "I don't think so-" I say in a sing-songy voice, then continue, "He holds his alcohol well."

"No, he doesn't. A few years ago, he was made a mess." Sirius says, but I still don't agree. I grab my drink from the table, and take a tiny sip before saying, "That was because he had signed the divorce papers from his first wife that morning, other wise he never would have drank so much."

"I still think he's a better guess than my father." Sirius says, rolling his eyes. He hates talking about his father, and he is absolutely right, he's a horrible man. I fold my arms and then suggest, "Alright, what do you want to bet on- and not money, merlin knows we both have enough of that already."

Sirius hums in thought, as he thinks of ideas. One of the perks of being in a pureblood family is the insane amount of money carried from one generation to another, one of the faults, the tedious parties, Sirius makes them better though. He clicks his fingers and I can almost see a light bulb go off in his head. He starts, "A kiss-"

"I already give you those-"

"And a date where I control everything." Sirius grins, and I groan, and cover my face with my hands. I groan, "But you're going to pick a shit place, like madam puddifoot's or something other absurd café."

"If you're scared that you'll lose, I can change it." Sirius taunts, and I look back at Mr. Black and he's already loosening his tie. I grin then hold out my hand to him. I say, "You're on."

Sirius takes my hand, shakes it one time with a firm grip, then hauls me close to him to give me a kiss on the cheek. I yelp, and then put my hand on his thigh to stabilize me enough to go back to sitting properly in my seat. I smack his thigh. Merlin knows what my mother would've done if she saw that.

"And if I win, I want full control over your hair for a month." I say, and watch that smirk of his fade away instantly. He grabs his hair, desperately and shakes his head. He says, "No way, that's same value as one date."

"If you're scared that you'll lose, I can change it." I say in a deeper voice, imitating him and saying his exact words. He gives me a glare, but folds his arms and pouts in his seat. I chuckle at his reaction.

The music is quiet, it's only the voices of chatter that really fill up the room. I look all around the room and notice that Regulus is with one of his friends chatting about something, I recognize the friend as Evan Rosier. Sirius taps my shoulder to interrupt my train of thought.

"Wanna get out of here?" He asks, and he already knows my answer because I soon as I say yes, he's already got my hand in his hand. He stands up, and we look around each of us making sure that none of our family members can see us.

Sirius leads me out of the room and into a corridor. This is Nott Sr.'s house, we knew only bits of it. We get out of the room, and Sirius presses me against on of the walls. He kisses me feverishly and I return it with a smile. His hands caress my waist and they go up and down and up and down, driving me insane.

"so this is why you wanted to get out." I tease, and he goes back to kissing me in seconds. I can't say I'm really complaining though. He breaths out in between kisses, "Can't blame me for wanting to spend time with you."

We part for some much needed air and Sirius looks around. He sees the closest door and he goes towards it, pulling me with him. He says, "Now, what could this be? A bedroom maybe?"

He opens the door and we're meet with the clatter of pots and pains and tiny house elves moving around everywhere, trying to get dinner ready. Sirius sighs in disappointment, and he turns to leave, but I break free of his grip when I see..."Scones!"

I trail towards them and grab a few off of one of the plates that the house elves were carrying. I shoved one in my mouth, and it tasted good. Sirius grabbed one from my hands and started eating it himself. I frowned at him and his reply was poking a tongue out at me.

I finish my scone and maybe two more, then I go to sit on one of the chairs. Sirius pouts when he notices there's no chairs. He grabs me, and lifts me up. I start screaming, "Sirius Orion Black, you better put me down right now. You babbling, bumbling, baboon-"

"You're the only good thing my parents have ever done for me, and quite possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me." Sirius says in one breath to shut me up. He always does this, randomly he just spills out bursts of emotion. He feels them at random times, but Sirius has never been good at expressing emotions, so I appreciate them when they come.

He sits down and puts me on his lap. I smile at his words and lean in to press a soft kiss to his lips. Sirius parts abruptly, "Did you just call me a baboon?"

"Oh no, we need some remedies, quickly!" One of the house elves, enter quickly into the room, and the rest of them bustle quickly trying to find a remedy for whomever just got severely drunk out there. Another house elf shouts, "Who was it this time?"

"Mr. Black."

"Yes!" I shout in triumph and get off of Sirius' lap to preform a victory dance. I clap and dance around, and I point at him and grin, "Get ready to have your hair green!"

"No!"

Alley Cat -- 496 words

Summary: "In a city alleyway in the dead of night, there's a man, a cat, and a taste for either tuna or bloodshed. And Regulus Black is all out of Tuna."

Regulus is going to kill Mulciber if it's the last thing he does.

Perhaps it's too heavy a thought to be thinking as he sits crouched in the back of an alleyway with a small orange tabby cat rubbing up against his leg, but Mulciber has yet to arrive and this cat was already here and meowing at him rather pathetically so you can't really blame the guy. The poor thing purrs as Regulus scritches it behind its left ear, avoiding the pretty sizable V-shaped cutout on the tip. The wound already seems to be healed over, but Reg is still wary about getting too close to it.

The lights on the rain-slick streets are bright against the asphalt, the roads seeming to glimmer in technicolor. It's almost fitting for Reg to be awaiting his victim in the dead of night still surrounded by color as if James himself was here at his shoulder.

Gods he wishes James were here. Hell, he'd even take Sirius at this point, but neither his partner nor his brother had shown up for the call as he'd expected them to after he sent his location confirmation, and with the fact that the coms went out only a few minutes after Regulus got on site, a part of him feels like something has gone wrong at headquarters. That thought alone is enough to make his stomach twist and clench with anxiety.

Here's the thing, Regulus could be alone and cornered by a whole slew of armed men and not even flinch before handling the situation with nothing less than pure finesse, but the very moment something or someone threatens the people he cares about, he gets anxious. And when Regulus gets anxious, he tends to act a little more... recklessly.

He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes and trying to calm himself enough to loosen that knot in his gut. Regulus feels tiny paws step up onto his knee and the orange tabby lets out a raspy meow. He opens his eyes to see the sweet thing sniffing up at him before reaching out one of those paws and stretching his little toes out at him. Regulus melts.

Successfully calmed down for the time being, he pushes the thoughts from his mind entirely to focus on the task at hand: Putting a bullet through Mulciber Sr.'s head before he has the chance to do the same to him. The bottom line is that one of them would be leaving this alleyway tonight and Regulus was determined to make sure that was him. No matter what it takes. Then he can go back to Headquarters and make sure that James and Sirius are okay. Oh, and this cat. He's taking the cat home too. He'll apologize to James once he finds him warm and alive. Besides, he isn't even here. It's really his own fault for leaving Regulus unsupervised so he'll have to forgive him. It's simply how it works.

I have had some doubts for a long time and curiosity has overcome me 😞

What did Tom's "friends" think when they saw how he treated Draco when he was drunk? (Did Tom realize he was behaving that way or did he just not care?) I guess after the Andrasteia show they know to treat Draco very well.

Answer for Tom is 1 part obliviousness and 3 parts not giving a shit.

As for his 'friends', the thought process is 'okay, but why him?'. They don't really get the hype lmao. Draco is also entirely unprepared for an impromptu catch up with a bunch of senior death eaters, so he doesn't make a great first impression.

Generally, their opinions on Draco are -

Nott Sr: devout Tom fanboy to the point of homoerotic worship yet actually somehow the straightest man in the room. He assumes Draco is brilliant, fantastic, amazing and a genius, because he can't comprehend the idea of Tom having shit taste. Every birthday present he buys Draco is actually for Tom. Sometimes he forgets and writes Tom's name in the cards. Draco forgives it because he still has an image in his mind of Nott Sr as Theo's senile, geriatric father.

Rosier: ambitious but also likes to think he's a genuine friend of Tom's (he isn't). Feels personally hurt that he wasn't invited to the wedding. Tom saying said wedding was 'family only' did not alleviate his hurt feelings as literally everyone knows Tom is an orphan. Said ambition led him to try and build rapport with Draco. Unfortunately for him, in the long run he'll learn that giving Draco Malfoy the slightest opportunity to feel superior to you is a recipe for being treated worse than dirt (the Adrasteia situation did not help any attempt at friendship).

Mulciber: ngl he kinda has a brain like a brick, so there isn't that much going on in there. He thinks Draco is shaped like a noodle though but really doesn't give a crap about Tom's personal life. However, he is competitive, so has to throw his hat in the ring when he sees Rosier trying to suck up to Draco at the market.

Dolohov: has been trying to get with Tom since he was a bartender working at the Hog's Head and Tom was a fifth year (yes, he's creepy and kills the vibe. hence why the others don't like him). Gave up once he figured Tom wasn't interested in men but stuck around because he and Tom have the same niche hobbies (torture and murder). Is offended to find that Tom does swing that way but went for an age-appropriate fellow twink.

You know i was thinking, why only the marauders stans can have the friends causing trouble in boarding school trope? I love me some unlikely Slytherin friend group against the world fics. I read a fic recently where Snape was friends with Regulus who was best friends with the bimbo version of Barty and Zabinis mom ( who i think was heavily inspired in Pansy lol) I am aware how impossible this is in cannon and how self indulgent it is but at the same time i can't help but to love it but that's what AU and fanfiction is for isn't it? Rather than pranks it was maquinations, manipulations and revenges what these Slytherins were up to and it was just so fun, they even got the marauders into trouble by blaming the aftermath of their disasters at them (that's what you get for not being discreet)

If you could make Snape have a self indulgent gang (apart from the canon characters) who do you think could be a good fit?

Chapter 9: Lust Potion

They pushed in the front door and heard the loud cackling laughter from yesterday night.

Delia.

Lenora shot Tom a look.

"Really?" She griped, "didn't get enough last night?! You had to torture us all"

Tom stood in the door with her not wanting to go in.

"I did not invite her" he lamented, Lenora looked at his face; he looked absolutely sick.

She knew his dilema, he had to let her down very easy. Her father worked at the ministry with Mulciber Sr and soon with Tom.

   Lenora laughed at him, "looks like you're off the market Tom. Or should I call you Mr.Parkinson?" He shook his head.

"Let her down easy for me?" Tom tried to make his way towards the stairs.

"Not a chance-" she started

"NORA! TOM!" They both turned to the entrance.

Tom gave a fake smile to Delia who appeared wildly grinning.

"We were waiting for you!"

Tom walked forward and took her hand kissing it, "what do I owe the pleasure?"

Delia patted his head as he kissed her hand making him scowl.

"Oh Tommy, I'm sorry I'm not here for you" she breezed past him.

"I'm here to thank my savior" she enclosed around Nora who scrunched her nose and looked at Tom.

Not a chance he mouthed.

"How dear of you!" He said, "I better be heading off then".

"Join us won't you?" She hadn't let go of Nora who tried to lean away.

"I told Daddy I'd see you..."

Tom reluctantly followed them as Delia walked into a dining room. Lilith, Nott, Black and Abraxas sat looking vexed being held captive. A bottle sat unopened in the middle of the table.

"Red currant rum" Delia announced, "a very expensive bottle too Nora" and sat down next to her and Lenora widened her eyes at Lilith and sat next to her. Delia quickly went to her side.

"I'll have an elf bring juice and snacks". Tom sat down across from them.

"GRISKEY" Delia screeched and the Parkinson elf popped in the air next to them. Tom winced at her volume.

"Snacks." She didn't even look at the elf, "and juice. Something sweet for Ms. Rosier"

  Abraxas made a face at Lenora, making her suppress a smile. She wondered where Avery was, maybe he could help distract her.

"This is so kind of you Delia" she said accepting her fate. The elf popped back next to the table putting a bottle of juice and a basket of sweets and savories.

"I am deeply in your debt" Delia said pouring her a glass of rum and juice, "when you protected Tommy and I".

  Lenora saw Black crack a grin looking down at his lap. Relief flooded her, it was the  first time she had seen him relax a bit since the duel.

  "Happy to" she said and looked at the basket, "what did you bring?" Her voice softened a little her mood warmed by Blacks smile.

   Everyone sat drinking, the conversation was jovial. Strumpet or not, Delia is fun Nora thought as Delia refilled her glass again. This time she held the glass on her lap as she did.

She must be drunk Nora thought but reached over to take a bite of a small cake.

   Lilith was telling Theo and Tom about their shopping trip, Tom looked bored out of his mind nodding politely.

   Lenora took a couple of sips, smiling at her friends. The black dress she had chosen to go shopping in, had small cloth buttons that latched in the front.  She smoothed out the skirt feeling a little messy. Her hair was tangled from the walk in the woods.

   The room felt unbearable balmy all of a sudden. She looked up and closed her eyes, fanning herself softly. When she rolled her head back to the front she saw that Black was looking at her.

His voice was garbled, "are you quite alright". It sounded far away.

    She really couldn't answer, it was too far hot to think properly. Nora pulled her hair off of her neck, using a ribbon from her pocket to pull it up.

   She tried to turn her attention to another conversation that Abraxas and Tom had started. God, Tom looked so handsome just sitting there. Her lips parted as she watched his mouth move. A small tingle in her lower stomach tickled and she rolled her hips in her chair trying to get comfortable.

  The room was now sweltering. The hand had been playing with the ribbon in her hair now traced down her neck . Unwittingly, she caressed her collarbone, fingers constantly moving. Her skin tingled, she sighed; her own touch felt amazing.

Tom's eyes flicked to her movement and gave her a strange look before returning to his conversation.

   Nora shifted in her seat again, the growing buzz had traveled and sat in between her thighs. As she moved her most sensitive spot seemed to radiate a touch of pleasure. 

A soft hum of approval erupted from her lips.

Her mind went to Cygnus pulling up her dress strap.

Then Tom holding her at the dance, close so close.

Even him thrusting above Delia, his shirtless body at the door smirking down at Nora.

   She sighed loudly, it was so damn hot. She could barely speak, her fingers traveled to her buttons and she undid the top one. Then the next, her lace bra peaked out.

   Lenora could hear her name being said.

Her eyes lazily watched Tom's mouth moving in conversation, licking her own lips.

She wondered what it would feel like to feel his lips drag across her body.

"Lenora!" she heard Black a little louder, Abraxas and Tom looked at Black who again said "LENORA" in a raised his voice.

Theo and Lilith looked at Black too. Then their attention quickly turned to Nora.

Her cheeks were flushed, her lips parted and her dress was  completely unbuttoned in the front . She was nearly writhing in her chair. Lilith and Theo looked at each other, Abraxas quickly looked away in shock, Tom stared at her.

"Nora?" Tom asked

"Mmm, I love the way you say my name" she said in a seductive tone, her fingers traced across her lips as she sighed.

Black grabbed the glass from in front of her.

"You gave her something" he said turning his attention to Delia who had a self satisfied smile.

Nora was confused and looked at Delia for a moment.

"You're so pretty" she said with a sleepy smile, stroking Delia's hair.

"Who's the strumpet now, bitch?" Delia asked.

Lilith stood up, "you venomous cow" she pointed her wand. Theo grabbed Lilith to stop her.

Abraxas pounded his fist onto the table enraged, "What did you give her Delia!?".

"Hmm I'm not sure." She shrugged, "maybe I didn't give her anything. We all know she's a little tart when she's drunk".

  Lilith started her way around the table to tear Delia's eyes out. Delia sprung up trying to make a beeline for the door.

Theo chased after both of them with Abraxas following.

  Tom and Black stared at Nora who arched her back in her chair.

"It's sooo hot in here" she whined,"my whole body feels-" her fingers traced down her breasts making their way between her thighs. She cried out softly, "so...good".

Tom quickly crossed the room and grabbed her wrists to stop her. He knelt in front of her as she moved lustily against her chair.

Black stood with his mouth open watching her.

"Don't you have anything?" Tom turned to Black.

"Like what?!" His eyes widened as she moaned at Tom's touch, leaning forward trying to push her breasts in his face.

"A calming draught, a sleeping draught," Tom's eyes widened and he trying to move his head away as she whined,"draught of the living dead for Merlin's sake, anything Cygnus".

"I have a sleeping draught I think" he said scurrying out of the room.

Tom watched Nora's chest heave, her lace bra almost fully visible. He let go of her wrists and started to rebutton her dress.

"I want you" she said and he tried to ignore her as she began to stroke his face and shoulders, "please Tom, I want to feel you so badly."

    He successfully buttoned her dress and went to hold her arms down again but she launched herself at him. They both fell to the floor. He sat up as she climbed on top of him.

"Nora, stop it" he said but her hands were twisted in his hair, she kissed his neck, licking and biting him.

Tom put his hands on her waist trying to move her off, she bucked her hips and straddled him, grinding herself down.

  It was unbearable. She had a heat building between her thighs that made her cry out. He smelled amazing, his lips were so close, and most of all she could feel him straining against his pants. It brushed between her. He wanted this too.

  Tom looked up trying not to give in no matter how hard he wanted to. Her touch was brazen, he took a sharp breath in when she pushed her hips down onto his. Her eyes looked desperate and she pushed down harder, he felt her shudder against him and her lips tried to meet his as he tested his own willpower.

   Finally he managed to stand and pull her up, he reached his pocket for his wand. She kissed his chest, her fingers raking down to grab his belt. Finally as her hand palmed him, through his pants, he pointed the wand at her legs.

"Locomotor Mortis" he said and caught her before she could fall onto the ground.

Black burst in and handed him the potion.

  Tom held her cheek and told her to open her mouth so he could pour it in.

"Take this" Tom said firmly, "it will make you feel better".

"Only if you kiss me" she said turning her head to the side clamping her mouth shut.

    Tom couldn't help but smile, he grabbed her chin and kissed her softly his lips barely meeting hers before pulling away. An embarrassingly loud sound left her mouth and he held her face still as he poured the potion in. He backed into a chair and sat pinning her down across his lap as her movements slowed

  He took a breath, it was exhausting physically and mentally fighting her.

Abraxas, Theo and Lilith ran back in,

"It was a lust potion!" they all stopped.

Tom sat on the chair, Nora across his lap with her legs paralyzed.

Her head dipped onto his shoulder, she looked blissed out. Tom held her with one arm and rested his head in the other hand.

"I think we figured that much out".

Nora whimpered and Tom looked down at her flushed face.

"Feeling better?" He raised his brow, her head fell back and she collapsed asleep in his arms.

Hogwarts Years For Various Characters

So, I'm getting a lot of mixed opinions on who went to Hogwarts when. Like all (and I do mean all) the adult characters going to Hogwarts with the Marauders, etc. So, I decided to do some extensive investigative work based on where the characters are in the books and what JKR said about them and their ages. If there's no information, I just looked up the actors who played them, and their ages at the time the movie was released (and when the movie is set). And yes, I will be including Hogwarts Mystery characters. Deal with it.

A few more notes, I find it extremely unlikely that half the OG Order of the Phoenix was made up of newly graduated Hogwarts students. Frank and Alice Longbottom have already made names for themselves as famous aurors by 1981, and it takes 3 years of training to become an auror. Same with Dorcas Meadows (I don't think she was an auror, but she was badass enough to be killed by Voldy personally).

As for Marlene McKinnon, Emmeline Vance, Amelia Bones, Hestia Jones, and Dedulus Diggle...

If Marlene was Lily's best friend and Sirius' lover (or even ex-lover), wouldn't Lily be more emotional about her death and say something like "I'm so sorry about Marlene. I know how much she meant to you."? And wouldn't she have mentioned her by name? "Marlene and her family" instead of "the McKinnons"?

If Emmeline Vance, Hestia Jones, and Dedulus Diggle were friends with Lily and James, wouldn't they (or Remus or Sirius) mention that to Harry? You would think that with all these "friends" of Harry's parents, going to Grimmauld Place would be like "coming home" to him.

Amelia Bones is described as having "grey hair" in OOTP, and the actress who portrayed her was 57 when Deathly Hallows part 1 was released, so she's almost 20 years older than the Marauders.

House Call | Barty & Cassius

Cassius was maybe blowing this out of proportions just a bit. But it was a big deal! Mostly because no one ever dared to tell him no. With his horrific temper, they dare not to encourage his anger. But his father was a completely different case, and he certainly didn’t care or fear Cassius’s sharp rage. That almost made it worse somehow, seeing his anger completely disregarded as a childish tantrum. Which, maybe it was, but certainly not to Cassius HE needed someone to take him at least somewhat seriously! And he knew just the person who would listen to him, whining or not.  Cassius was almost more at home at the Crouch Manor than he was Mulciber estate, but really what it was is that there was no one brave enough to shoo him away. Letting himself in through the Floo, he handed off his coat to Winky, asking for Barty’s whereabouts. Of course Crouch Sr. wasn’t home, and thankfully, the Missus was out shopping. Nothing against Miss Crouch, he just hated bothering her, really, for her own sake. It was like handling something much too fragile for his clumsy hands. Much like he used to regard Barty. Something made of glass that would shatter in his hands should he handle the boy too roughly. How happy he was to find how wrong that assumption had been.  After being pointed to the right room Cassius was throwing open the door, boisterous as always, “Pennnnyyyy, it’s all falling apart, I had to actually go to work todayyyyy,” he whined quite loudly as he made his way to Barty’s side. Without hesitation he was grabbing the young man’s head snatching it against his chest, “It was horrible. I had to do paperwork, Pens, can you believe it? And it’s all over the fucking papers, I feel like a celebrity, but the kind who shit in King’s Cross during busy hour, not the award-winning kind.”  @bartcmius-jr

Hey, ive got a question concerning Tom Riddles original gang of Slytherins, who then turned into his oldest followers/first death eaters. Now in canon, these were: "Lestrange, Avery, Rosier, Nott and Mulciber". No forenames given in Canon, now you gave them more character and Names, So first: Linus Lestrange who died at the Hands of Riddle in the later Chapters of ASC, Titus Avery Sr is I think still alive as he was stunned by Astoria in the Battle of Hogwarts, Thaddeus Nott was killed by Lucius Malfoy in the Department of Mysteries, I know you also made Lucius` Father, Abraxas Malfoy into one of Riddles's original Friends and Dormmates which was a great idea btw and he was killed/beheaded by Finn, so moving on to Rosier who is the first I am not sure about, I think you once mentioned an Evan Rosier dying at the End of the first wizarding war in your earlier chapters, is this That "original" Rosier or his son who we know was called Evan and died somewhere in 1980-1981?, And the same goes for Mulciber, is he mentioned in your story? Maybe I missed it, I am just interested! And I think you also made Selwyn one of his old followers even tho I think you mentioned that he was younger than the rest and like 2 years below them (I always mix up the Selwyns who is the father on who the Son, Woodrow or Wendall?)

I hope this question isn't too weird haha, I was just thinking about the differences between ASC and Canon. Love ASC btw the last chapter was as great as always!

I twiddled with his original band of followers yes. I made Nott a few years longer, added Abraxas Malfoy. Woodrow Selwyn was arrested years ago and is in Azkaban crypt and Wendall Selywn, an original DE, we saw in the final battle.

I liked playing around with them and giving them more character. Thank you.
