With the help of the Siblings back at the Ministry and some overnight shipping on the company credit card, the ghouls work together to set up a summoning rig for V to find his new ghoul.

For better or worse, the more experienced of them have seen enough of these at this point they don't need Copia's help in requesting the components they need and laying out the ritual. Which is good, because he has very little inclination right now to give his brother help hurting more ghouls, which is how he sees it.

They get everything planned for the next time they don't have a show two days in a row, in an abandoned Ministry chapel on some back road no one even remembers. Whoever answers the call - if they answer - won't be able to get on stage immediately so the sooner their training, however unorthodox, can begin, the better.

Dew's served three different Papas, has seen the majority of his pack as they arrived Up Top, so despite his injured foot, he insists on helping V be the conduit. It will help if the new multi has some fire, and like calls to like. He'd prefer having Phantom too, but the little quint can barely be persuaded to join the circle, and stands quietly, slumped against Rain's shoulder on the outside edges, Aurora tucked under Phantom's other arm.

V surprises them with his comfort in this process - while he's summoned one ghoulette already, these are not exactly the controlled circumstances and studied preparations that accompanied her arrival once Cumulus' vessel made it clear that another tour wasn't in the cards.

But what V lacks in experience he makes up in his absolute confidence in these ghouls and their love for the pack. He doesn't acknowledge it directly, but when the wind picks up and the ritual candles flare, Dew is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, magically speaking. He's tapped into the consciousness of the pack and pulling on their collective strength and bond to help find the best ghoul for a very specific job. V simply opens the gate, begins the chanting, and voices their request.

Which is, perhaps, why, when a plume of fire roars through the portal, it's mixed with a darker cloud of something that smells more like ozone than brimstone. A hunched figure coalesces, lights and flame dancing through that darkened form, slowly fading as the body gains mass and bulk.

Mountain and Rain scent the change in the air first, eyes wide as they glance at each other, then to Phantom, and finally Dew, whose eyes are screwed shut, tears streaming down his cheeks. With a gasp more felt than breathed, the summoning gate snaps shut and Mountain steps up behind Dew, grasping his shoulders and giving them a little shake. Cirrus steps forward, teary eyed, holding out a robe to the bulky ghoul rising from the middle of the summoning circle, taking in the surroundings.

"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting to see you lot again any time this millennium... Though I don't know you at all, which we'll need to have a chat about." Under the ghoul's regard, V catches a gleam in his tight smile.

The voice isn't quite right. Scorched, smoky. But unmistakably melodic and playful. The horns, too, are slightly wrong, darker, no longer containing galactic swirls. Now they are shiny obsidian, with an iridescent sheen, but still curved, still adorned with silver rings - just like his ears and nose. Aether's eyes are the most obvious change, now a molten copper as he accepts the robe from Cirrus, wrapping his arms around her for just a moment, breathing her in. Then he rounds on the rest of the group, arms out to receive an unsteady Dewdrop from Mountain's grounding hold.

"Oh, my firefly. Let me help you with that foot. I think this new vessel can still do some of my old tricks..."

headcannons for the ghouls under the cut!

Ok so based on element

Quintessence- They have tiger like markings that darken with age and glow when they use their powers. They’re usually some sort of purple hue and have a medium amount of body fur and a medium sized tail. Their tail is stronger enough to grasp and hold objects but not strong enough to support their bodies. They have shorter and rounder ears.

Fire- fire ghouls are usually red hued, they usually have black marks that resemble volcanic rock scattered across their bodies. Dewdrop in particular has red lines resembling magma across his body resulting from his transformation. They have whip thin tails, which can really only loosely grasp objects, and long pointed ears. Fire ghouls have little to no fur bc of how hot they are, if they have any fur they look like those sphinx cats.

Water- water ghouls are usually some sort of blue hue, with bioluminescence patterns scattered across their bodies which glow in the dark. They have thick tails with fins and fins on their arms and webbed fingers to help them swim. They have seal like flippered feet which aid in swimming as well. They also have gills on their neck and chest and “webbed” ears. Their fur is short and feels like a seals.

Earth- earth ghouls are usually green or brown hued. Stronger earth ghouls can grow flowers from their hair and horns. Many times their horns, ears, and body patterns resemble those of forest creatures. Instead of paws, they have cloven hooves. They have the strongest tails, which can support their whole body weight (imagine like a possum). Their fur thickness changes with the season, being thinnest in the summer and thickest in the winter.

Air- air ghouls are usually a dusky blue/grey color. They have bright white freckles all across their bodies and their hair usually represents something cloudlike. They have the thickest fur out of any ghouls. They have short fluffy ears and thin tails like fire ghouls. They typically also have white hair. They can use the breeze to float and/or have wings that can fold into their backs and like to hang out in the rafters of the abbey or trees in the forest. They’re lighter than other ghouls bc of this feature

Multi- multi ghouls are kind of a wild card. They typically have a mixture of their elements typical traits, like quint markings or air freckles. Aurora, being an air and quint ghoulette, has both of these. Swiss, being a true multi ghoul, has most of these traits, but less noticeable than other ghouls of those elements.

A robotic voice echoed through (Name)'s head as he frantically glanced around, not getting used to the situation just yet.

(Name) took a deep breath, his chest lifting and lowering, (E/c) eyes gazed on the green orb ahead of him. He had millions of questions racing through his head, but he settled on one that deemed most important

"Why am I here?"

The glowing verdant colored orb, rotated for a while in complete silence. "In the past years, Generation after generation. You are either the past or the future, you could be one or many, but remain mixed with the blood of the others to be sealed at one individual."

Silence filled the atmosphere and (Name) couldn't help but stare at the orb in utter confusion. "Ha? What are you saying... Nevermind" Name shaked his head as he couldn't figure out a thing on what the system responded to him. He decided to move on to the next important question;

"Do I get cool powers?" (Name) eagerly spoke, barely being able to keep his excitement within him.

"Unfortunately not. You have to unlock your 'powers' by expirience...Nonetheless, (Name)- you will figure it out soon." The green orb began levitating it's way to (Name). It stopped its tracks in front of his small exposed stomach, then did it suddenly began turning into small particles that marked the side of (Name)'s stomach.

"Hey! What at you doing?" (Name) shouted in confusion and distraught. Seeing how the green orb began to fade while at the same time a medium sized snake mark began appearing on the side of his abdomen

It didn't felt like nothing at all either - the more the snake mark began to get clearer did it felt even more painful. The sensation was like getting your own insides get twisted endlessly, it did not help that his own mind began to feel dizzy with strong pulse.

"Ha.. Finally" (Name) stretched out his legs on the ground until realization hitted him, all his previous relief faded in a instant: He couldn't move his body.

First off: he was transmitted into the world of genshin impact for whatever bullshit reason. Second: there's only one kind of person who could have such a high pitch voice that puts operas into shame.

'Paimon!. This is a good thing! The Traveler could possibly help me right!?' (Name)'s thoughts of sorrow and misery quickly began to dissperse and were instead replaced with hope and anticipation!

A pair of footsteps made their way closer and closer to (Name)'s body. The crunching sound of the ground below him stopped in front of his body, then he felt a hand graze upon his head making him shiver from the touch.

"Traveler! Is he okay? He doesn't look that well to paimon.." Paimon's voice continued with wary and concern for the person. The Traveler only continued to inspect (Name)'s conditions. He was no doctor but it was plainly obvious that the guy must have suffered through alot of pain

"Paimon, let's help the guy up first." The Traveler explained to paimon and she nodded obediently. Paimon grabbed (Name) by the back of his jacket with her tiny hands and struggled to make him sit up properly.

She eventually did it successfully but had to take a breather after all of that work. The Traveler was busy rummaging through his inventory to find something that could possibly help the guy's conditions.

Meanwhile with (Name), he currently was experiencing cardiac arrest....

(Name) sweatdropped at their stares digging deeper into his body. His eyes avoided their gaze for he felt more and more awkward with the time passing by. Paimon followed with a huff

"Hey mister! We helped you so could you atleast tell us something?" Paimon stomped her foot in the air, her patience skinning down but her companion kept a cool face.

Left with no choice, (Name) shaked his head. He turned his head to look at them directly, he pointed at his throat and did an 'X' sign with his two index fingers. Hopefully they would understand.

Thankfully the two understood what he meant, Paimon took the lead: "Ooh! Paimon sees. You can't really talk can you? You're somewhat similar to the Traveler here" Paimon smiled enthusiastically and soon followed with her finger pointing at the Traveler.

"Can you uhm, Write down your name for us mister?" Paimon asked floating around the air. (Name) nodded his head at her question, he took a twig from the ground and then began writing his name down on the sand.

The duo watched closely at what he was writing down in the sand. (Name) couldn't help but worry since it was most likely that they wouldn't understand what he was writing because the world had a language foreign to earth.

After a short while, (Name) placed down the twig beside him. He decided that it was more efficient to draw things that started with the letter of his name so that it spelled it out perfectly.

To his relief again, they understood what he tried to do. Paimon connected the pieces and uttered "(Name)?" her voice was unsure if she said or pronounced it right even.

(Name) quickly nodded at Paimons words, he smiled to himself. His efforts weren't in vain!!

Paimon smiled back at him, joyful that she got it right. The Traveler watched the scene with his eyes and couldn't help but smile too, he raised his hands and clapped at Paimons answer.

Paimon giggled rubbing the back of her hair, feeling shy with the amount of attention she was getting.

"Hehe, that was nothing for Paimon!" Paimon placed both of her hands on her hips, a face full of pride emitted on her face. But she also couldn't brush off the most important question to (Name)

"How did this happen to you, Name?" Paimon questioned him with curiosity in her mind. The Traveler couldn't help but also be curious on how (Name) became like that.

My Ghoul headcanons! With a few I've picked up from other posts. Also, spot the Avatar (James Cameron) inspired hcs. Basic hcs

Ghouls are pack creatures. They love being together, whether it's laying around together in a Ghoul Pile, playing games, or just doing tasks around the ministry.

Packs seem like giant polycules to outsiders, but they're much more complicated than that.

The Ghouls love teasing the Siblings of Sin.

They're extremely loyal to their Papa.

When on tour, they will wear enchanted amulets that shift their appearance to appear human. This has been named "glamour".

Sometimes packs will sleep in "piles". This is usually to keep bonds strong or simply for comfort.

Ghouls mate for life, partners basically bond their life forces together.

Ghouls can mate and bond with more than one individual. This can include other ghouls and humans. Biology hcs

All Ghouls have varying shades of grey skin and spaded tails (although Water Ghouls normally have fins on their tails). They also have claws on both their hands and feet, toe pads, horns, rough forked tongues, and sharp teeth.

Their tails and ears are very expressive.

Their tails are prehensile.

Water Ghouls have "ripple" or "water like" markings, usually a shade of grey darker than their skin. They also have webbed hands and feet, finned ears, and gills.

Ghouls have a superb sense of smell, sight, and hearing. Each Ghoul has their own specific scent, that all other Ghouls can smell and recognise them by. They will also memorise smells from their favourite humans (this can include human mates).

Packmates are connected to each other via telepathy. They can tap into each other's emotions, and can talk to each other through this strong connection.

Their eyes glow in the dark. They usually have a slight glow normally, but at night they're pretty bright.

Each Ghoul can tap into the magic connected to their element, or elements.

All Ghouls have a thin layer of fur on their chest, back, biceps, and down their backs to their tail.

They all go through a type of cycle, no matter their gender.

During the colder months, the thin layer of fur they have will grow thicker. It's very soft and fluffy, but dense. Although Quintessence and Air Ghouls have a thicker coat of fur all year long. Air Ghouls have the softest fur, almost cloud like in a way. While Quintessence Ghouls have coarse, stiff fur. Ghoul Scents (Prequelle and Impera Ghouls, including my OC)

Aether: A soft, pleasant incense. One that doesn't tickle your nose or cause you to cough

Rain: Petrichor

Swiss: Crushed rosemary

Mountain: He smells like a greenhouse: That delicous wet warmth smell

Glacier (my OC): A warm, windy day with a hint of orange

Cirrus: Ozone

Cumulus: A cold morning wind

Sunshine: Eucalyptus

Aurora: A sea breeze

Phantom: Slightly like sweet beeswax

Water Ghouls have backwards facing serrations on their fangs, making it extremely difficult for prey to escape. This is also why they don't tend to bite their partners or pack mates.

Earth Ghoul teeth are the most similar to human teeth, the main difference being their overall strength and much longer fangs.

Fire Ghoul teeth have long fangs with sharp teeth on either side of them.

Air Ghoul teeth have a lupine appearance, with sharp incisors and sharp first molars.

Quintessence Ghouls have very sharp, strong teeth that have a sort of "classic monter" look.

Multi Ghoul teeth are a mix of the elements they are connected to (symbols are a mix of all their elemental symbols).

I am once again here to share enderman quint ghoul thoughts.

I've spoken about them teleporting around, skimmed around the eye contact bit, but never mentioned their thoughts on water. The reaction honestly depends on the ghoul. Aether is relatively ok with it unless it surprises him, like if it starts raining unexpectedly, he'll freak. Phantom hates water, though. It's a massive sensory thing for him. To get him clean, it takes at least 2 water ghouls and some kind of distraction, like a video playing, specifically a baby sensory video. Omega tolerates water, that's all, not really a big deal for him at any point. Swiss is a multi ghoul but he can still be included because multi. He's pretty ok with water most of the time, but like Aether, if it surprises him, he loses it and becomes a lot more like phantom. The multi ghoulettes are pretty similar to Swiss with this.

For the eye contact bit, that also depends on the ghoul. Omega avoids eye contact, but he won't go all enderman on you if he has to make eye contact. Aether is alright with it. He's grown used to it from working with so many people and being pressured into making it by unknowing people. Swiss fucking loves eye contact, that fucker will stare into your soul if you give him the chance. Phantom, though, he hates it. It's distressing for him. He'll panic and try to get away if you force him to make eye contact. It's intimidating. It feels too personal, he feels judged, like they're witnessing his soul, so he panics. Sunshine, once again similar to Swiss, loves eye contact. She loves eyes, and she'd probably steal eyes if it was socially acceptable. Aurora is a more tame version of phantom with eye contact, she hates it, so much but she'll try to stay calm and remove herself from the situation but if she can't then she'll lose it and freak.

Enderman take blocks something, quint ghouls aren't much different there. You can't really take blocks like an enderman irl, so they pinch small objects, usually nothing that would seriously inconvenience someone. Usually, it's a pen or a rock they find on the ground, sometimes it's a discarded phone, it'll get back to its owner eventually. Everyone learnt the hard way not to leave important things around in case a quint ghoul finds it and pinches it. They don't usually realise they've taken anything, though. It's totally subconscious. They don't typically realise till either someone points it out or they get back to their room and empty their pockets.

ghoul element size headcanons cus why not??

starting with water ghouls! water ghouls tend to stay on the smaller/medium size of ghouls, making it a lot easier for them to move through the water with little resistance or effort.

earth ghouls are almost always big. like trees, strong and powerful — like the earth. they’re all mostly gentle giants. you’re in for it if you piss off an earth ghoul, though.

quintessence ghouls are usually bigger, not as big as earth ghouls but not as small as water ghouls. they tend to need slightly bigger vessels to keep their magic contained and controlled, but Phantom/Aeon was the runt of his litter. so he came out smaller than the average quintessence ghoul, around the size of an average water ghoul.

fire ghouls are in the middle of quintessence and earth. they’re usually pretty large so they can have better control over their fire element — like quints. however, since Dewdrop was a fire ghoul by forced transformation, he kept his smaller stature from his days as a water ghoul.

air ghouls tend to be between the size of a large water ghoul and an average quintessence ghoul. they’re not necessarily large, but not tiny. they can vary in size, but it’s a bit rare for them to grow bigger or smaller than that.

multi ghouls have a large range of sizes, all based on their elemental components. some of them can cancel out or dominate, making them average or a bit smaller than others.
