How To Convert Eyelashes

I was asked to make a tutorial on converting eyelashes. Well, here it is. Dirty, badly explained tutorial by Rollo. I'm assuming you know how to work with required programs, it won't teach you the basics, just a process of converting eyelashes from ts4 to ts3.

Requirements:

Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter

Graphical program that works with .dds files

Let's go:

Open the desired lashes in S4Studio. Export diffuse of the ones you want to convert (you only need the black ones). You can also export the thumbnail. Close the program.

2. Unzip the folder that you downloaded from this tutorial. You will find a .dds files called "sclub eyelash". Open it up in the graphical program. Make a black layer above it and hide it for now.

3. Now open up your ts4 eyelashes file. Start from the upper eyelash, crop it and go to the sclub eyelash.

4. Paste it, click ctrl+i, it will make ts4 eyelash white.

5. This is the worst part. You have to make the ts4 eyelash fit to the sclub one as close as possible. Use every method possible!

6. Unhide the black layer and see if your eyelash look alright. It may need some sharpening.

7. Now crop the bottom eyelash and follow the exact same steps as for the upper eyelash.

8. It should look more or less like this. Bottom eyelashes are always harder to adjust and may need even more sharpening.

9. Merge your upper and bottom eyelashes, duplicate the layer. Click ctrl+a, ctrl+t, then right mouse button and choose "Flip Horizontal".

10. Voila. You should have a complete set of your new shiny eyelashes! Save them as .dds. You can close the program. We're moving to TSR Workshop.

11. New Project -> New Import. Import Eyelashes AFBase from the downloaded folder.

12. Name your project, name your file and click "Next".

13. You should see this. Go to Texture tab and click "Edit" on the Transparency Map.

14. Import your eyelashes and click "Yes" when asked.

15. You should see your lashes, yay! But this is TSRW, they won't look exactly the same in game, as they look here. If you want a set of eyelashes, add more presets.

16. Now this is important. If you want to see your eyelashes in Accessories, go to Project tab, Clothing Type and change it from eyeliner to glasses. You also have to do this if you have more than one preset in one file. They won't show up in Eyeliner section. If you want to have set of eyelashes in Eyeliner category, you have to make each preset into seperate file. Also, eyelashes are recolorable ONLY in Accessories section. Don't forget to check Categories section to see which outfit has the eyelashes available.

17. Now you're ready to export your file! Export -> To Sims3Pack. Use the Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to convert your sims3pack to package file. We're moving to s3pe.

18. THESE STEPS ARE ESSENTIAL! Open up your shiny new package in s3pe. Click on the GEOM with the right mouse button.

19. Click Replace and choose AUID.simgeom from the downloaded folder. AUID is for adults, CUID for kids and PUID for toddlers. We have one more step to do.

20. Now click on the CASP normally (left mouse button) and click Grid on the bottom of the program.

21. A small pop up window appears. Scroll to the very bottom and find a line called OverlayPriority.

22. Change the 8 to 2. This will make eyelashes not being visible through hair that's covering eyes.

23. Save your package. You're ready to test your converted eyelashes in game!

Here they are. Nothing fancy, it was a quick conversion :D They're also compatible with S-Club eyelash sliders ^^

Btw, you don't necessarily have to convert both upper and bottom eyelashes. You can have upper or bottom only. Play with the lenght, not all eyelashes have to be very long. Convert it for males, kids, toddlers. You just have to remember to change the options in TSRW and replace the correct .simgeom file in s3pe. There is a lot of possibilities and you'll probably get better in this than me :D

Cornell University gets an F in research.

School president Michael Kotlikoff claimed the upstate Ivy League school wasn’t aware of Jew-bashing musician Kehlani’s anti-Israel stance — despite the information being available with a simple online search.

Kotlikoff told the Cornell Student Assembly it was now “too late” to dump the singer-songwriter and switch to another performer for Slope Day, the university’s end-of-year celebration to be held on May 7.

“We found out about the social media of this performer roughly three weeks ago,” Kotlikoff said, according to the The Cornell Daily Sun.

“It’s too late to secure another performer that will be acceptable or appropriate for Slope Day,” he told students.

Kotlikoff claimed that university brass and organizers were unaware of Kehlani’s political views when beginning negotiations for her to perform last October.

But even basic research would have turned up her views on social media supporting violence against Israel, outraged students and faculty said Monday.

In a sign of mounting backlash, members of the student group Cornellians for Israel have launched a petition and GoFundMe drive demanding that the school replace Kehlani with another performer — or they will boycott the event and select their own entertainer to headline a unifying counter-concert on the Ithaca campus.

The furor comes after President Trump’s administration froze $1 billion in federal funding to the elite school amid a civil-rights probe over whether it failed to prevent antisemitic discrimination and harassment on campus.

“It’s honestly laughable that they claim they were unaware of her glorification of violence, endorsement of an intifada, or demonization of Jews,” said Amanda Silberstein, a 21-year-old junior who is president of the school’s Chabad Center and vice president of Cornellians for Israel.

“It doesn’t take a private investigator to uncover that—just a quick look at her social media.”

As the Post reported Sunday, the watchdog group StopAntisemitism exposed Kehlani anti-Israel and antisemitic views in a July 12, 2024 post.

A single google search with the words “Kehlani” and “Israel” provides scores of Instagram hits about her hostility toward the Jewish state.

The multi-Grammy Award-nominated R&B artist herself posted a music video last spring that starts with “Long live the Intifada” — an inflammatory phrase that critics say promotes violence against Israelis and Jews. She also shared a map online that eliminates the state of Israel and refused to condemn Hamas for the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre.

“What’s most frustrating is the hypocrisy at play. If she had a track record of attacking any other marginalized group, there’s no doubt Cornell would have moved quickly to find a replacement,” Silberstein pointed out.

“But when it comes to antisemitism, the bar is somehow lower. All we’re asking for is to be afforded the same level of care and protection as every other student on this campus.”

Silberstein said Slope Day is a festival that is supposed to unite the student body.

“Instead,” she said, “this decision has fractured it — leaving many Jewish students like myself feeling abandoned by the very school that claims to prioritize inclusion and safety for all.”

If Cornell doesn’t cancel Kehlani’s performance, Silberstein said the pro-Israel group will find a “non-political, unifying” voice to be featured at a counter-event somewhere on campus.

Faculty members were also disgusted by the divisive controversy.

“Selection of a performer who openly supports an Intifada and war against Israel reflects a toxic campus culture that the administration has ignored,” said Cornell law professor William Jacobson, founder of the civil rights group EqualProtect.org.

StopAntisemitism, a Jewish advocacy group, urged Cornell brass to do the right thing by not promoting or condoning a hate-mongering entertainer.

“President Kotlikoff’s excuse that it’s `too late to cancel’ is a cowardly abdication of leadership. There is never a deadline on doing what is right,” said StopAntisemitism founder Liora Rez.

“If the performer held views targeting any other minority group, the university would act swiftly. Jewish students deserve the same protection and respect.”

Kolitkoff said the administration inserted a clause in Kehlani’s contract prohibiting her from discussing her her political views during the performance.

He also said Kehlani didn’t voice her opinions during performances on her recent “Crash World Tour,” which included a finale at Northeastern University.

“That was a sold-out concert that had no political events,” Kotlikoff said, according to the Cornell Sun. “And by all accounts, a very successful performance.”

Cornell has been roiled by numerous anti-Israel protests over the past year and Jewish students’ lives have been threatened.

Student Patrick Da pleaded guilty last year to threatening to kill Jews in posts on the university’s website.

Could Have Been Me MAP Announcement

Could Have Been Me, A Multi Animator Project themed around giving Agent 4 the love they deserve. Agent 4. I've seen them referred to as the middle child of the agents. And while that works great for fan content angst, it's not the greatest for Agent 4 fans. I know everyone loves them (you better), but theres never too much affection for a blorbo. That's where this map comes into play! Could Have Been Me is a MAP using the song Could Have Been Me by The Struts. It's a fairly creatively open map - you can do nearly whatever - as long as it involves Agent 4! You can just use the blank slate of agent 4 from the games, but I'd looove to see folks show off their Agent 4 ocs! I know I'll be using mine :)

This map will have a hard deadline of February 28th. The map will be coming out April 4th, so the early deadline will give plenty of time for forgotten parts to be made and for me to edit. The Map Call will be premiering November 21! This is when applications will open as well. They'll be decided on over the course of the next week. This gives about 3 months to do your part! Introducing F-21: The Latest 4th Generation Fighter Plane from Lockheed Martin

Taking its game forward, Lockheed Martin has proposed an improved version of the popular F-16 at Aero India 2019 called the F-21 and claims it will be the most advanced, 4th generation Fighter Aircraft in the world.

Lockheed Martin had earlier offered its F-16 has claimed that the F-21 will be specifically configured for the Indian Air Force and will strengthen India’s path to an advanced airpower future.

An option for new production, the F-21 will have a slew of the latest state of the art technological advancements and improvements that include a new radar system, stealth detection capabilities, and electronics design that add a lot of value to the already iconic aircraft.

“The F-21 is different, inside and out,” said Vivek Lall, vice president of Strategy and Business Development for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

Lockheed Martin has long said it plans to shift its F-16 production lines to India in cooperation with Tata. It has gone so far as to suggest it could establish an F-16 production line in the country regardless of whether it wins the MRCA deal or not.

For years, Lockheed Martin has been lobbying India for MMRCA contract in excess of 100 fighter jets. India traditionally bought its defence technology from and Russia, but recently, it has been buying American military technology, including the P-8 Poseidon and AH-64 Apache attack helicopter.

Now that there is a difficult competition between Lockheed Martin’s F-16, Boeing’s F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, the Swedish Gripen, French Rafale, European Eurofighter Typhoon, and Russian MiG-35. Lockheed Martin had to increase the stakes.

F-21 will be nimble, carry decent ordnance, and have lower costs to maintain

The F-21 will incorporate an upgraded mission computer, a state of the art avionics and includes multi-function displays. With a Central, Pedestal Display will help improve the crew’s situational awareness through Real-Time processing of the flight data.

In addition, the F-21 will also come with an upgradable display generator, a link-16 data link, HF/UHH/VHF multiple frequency radio communication support as well as IFF (identification friend or foe) enhancements.

The three original computers will be replaced with a single modular mission computer which provides far higher computing power to the avionics and weapons systems in addition to providing accurate targeting, air to air strike performances and information capabilities.

According to Lockheed Martin, the F-21 will be capable of providing affordable and scalable advanced combat capabilities through its Active Electronically Scanned Array radar. The Central Pedestal Display also provides a high-resolution display with colour maps, zoom functionality and Night vision systems, thereby helping to keep the aircraft in an enhanced state of Battle Awareness.

The Aircraft will also be capable of integration with the FLIR laser system and navigation as well as reconnaissance pods. The F-21 is also upgraded with state of the art threat warning systems, jammers, electronic countermeasure equipment pods and chaff and infrared flare dispensers to take care of complex and varied battlefield situations.

What will be the future of F-21?

As of now, the F-21 is just a concept. The F-21 will be tailor-made to meet the requirements of the Indian Airforce and will be a 4.5+ generation fighter if the company wins the estimated $18-billion order for the 115 planes.

Officially known as the “Fighting Falcon” commonly known as the Viper by pilots and crew, The F-16 is one of the most renowned and battle-tested supersonic fighter aircraft in the world. This single engine, multirole aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin (formerly General Dynamics), was developed originally for the United States Air Force and is now regarded as the most successful all-weather multirole fighter aircraft.

Entering into production almost four decades back in 1976, more than 4500 F-16 aircraft have been built and although no more bought by the United States Air Force, improved versions are being built for various export customers.

My BigBang fic for this coming year. Almost all of my fics are very short little one-shots. That's all I've really felt confident writing yet. Even the few multi-chaptered fics I've written are very short. This fucker is over 90K. I'm proud that I was able to accomplish that.

Since you can't read that yet, I also really loved writing Five Senses and The Diamond in Your Engagement Ring is Fake. I liked the later because it was the first time anyone ever requested I write something for them, which felt so special. None of my fics are necessarily on a favorites list and I don't say that to fish for likes... I just know I need to get better so I keep practicing. To be asked to write something meant a lot to me. And I think I write a good, funny Mickey. I know his voice better than Ian's.

I wrote a Gallavich crack!fic called My Spicy Vanilla using info I fed to an AI generator that I suppose would win since I didn't actually write it. Other than that, I write almost all my fics during my lunch break at work. None of them are too long or involved. I'd say Same or Hardtime as they were both written within a half hour. #2 What's something new that you tried in a fic this year? Asked by @energievie Lol everything is new to me. I would say discipline. I really love @galladrabbles because it forces me to think differently about writing. I'm verbose so to discipline myself to take out all the extraneous words has been a great exercise for me and made me a better writer. I once used the find/search function to find how many times I wrote 'really' and 'very' in a fic and I wanted to shoot myself. I still use 10 words when I can use 3, but I'm getting better and @galladrabbles has helped with that. #19 Share your favorite piece of dialogue. They fade with time, but the memory becomes a quiet echo of every time they’ve chosen each other, again and again. It’s a reminder of how much Ian loves him. In a tangible way that leaves traces, marks that say, "Ian was here, and he loves you fiercely." It was their love story, written across his skin. 

#21 What's something that surprised you while you were working on a fic? Did it change the story? Asked by @abigailspinach

Turns out my reader street cred doesn't translate when writing sex scenes. I've been reading explicit fics since 1995. I was on livejournals and bb boards that are older than some of the people reading this. So when I started writing I just assumed the sex would be a breeze for me. My beta for the BigBang pointed out that I said basically the exact same dialogue for two sex scenes and I wanted to die. Real life sex hasn't prepared me for writing sex scenes. I think a part of it is that I hate tacky language and I find a lot of dialogue during these moments to be extremely cheesy. So my vocabulary is purposely limited. But it's soul-crushing that I have such a hard time with this. I thought I'd really win the sex-fic Olympics if I ever did start writing and that definitely isn't going to happen. It's made me focus more on dialogue and making the story fun to read instead.

Fly brain breakthrough 'huge leap' to unlock human mind

Whole-brain annotation and multi-connectome cell typing of Drosophila

A fruit fly's brain is smaller than a poppy seed, but it packs tremendous complexity into that tiny space. Over 140,000 neurons are joined together by more than 490 feet of wiring, as long as four blue whales placed end to end. Hundreds of scientists mapped out those connections in stunning detail in a series of papers published on Wednesday in the journal Nature. The wiring diagram will be a boon to researchers who have studied the nervous system of the fly species, Drosophila melanogaster, for generations. Previously, a tiny worm was the only adult animal to have had its brain entirely reconstructed, with just 385 neurons in its entire nervous system. The new fly map is "the first time we've had a complete map of any complex brain," said Mala Murthy, a neurobiologist at Princeton who helped lead the effort.

The mapping began in 2013, when Davi Bock, a neuroscientist then at the Janelia Research Campus of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Virginia, and his colleagues dunked the brain of an adult fly in a chemical bath, hardening it into a solid block. They shaved an exquisitely thin layer off the top of the block and used a microscope to take pictures of it. Then the scientists shaved another layer and took a new picture. To capture the entire brain, they imaged 7,050 sections and produced about 21 million pictures. Dr. Seung and his colleagues also developed software to interpret these images. They programmed computers to recognize the cross-sections of neurons in each picture and stack them into the 3-D shapes of the cells.

Dr. Shiu's team tested the simulated brain by seeing how it responded to food. A fly's tongue-like proboscis is covered in neurons that are sensitive to sugar. The researchers activated them and watched the signals race through the fly's brain. The simulated brain did what a real brain would: It commanded the proboscis to stick out so that the fly could eat. And if the virtual fly tasted sugar only on the right side of its proboscis, the brain sent commands to bend it toward the right.

How to help the Ukrainian Book Industry

As per usual, I forget to post on Tumblr now a days. Let's talk Faktor Druk.

What happened?

Russia launched 15 missiles at Kharkiv. Faktor Druk, a printing house was hit twice (in total 3 strikes in the general area). Last I heard, 7 are dead. 22 are wounded. (During the strike, 50 employees were in the building.)

Why it matters? Most Ukrainian publishers had books printed there. Every 3rd Ukrainian book was printed there [Source]. You may think "it's only 50 000 fiction books", but no, it includes textbooks. As in, kids might not get any textbooks, because who else will print them when most books are printed in Kharkiv?

"The printing house Faktor-Druk is part of the Faktor company group, which also includes the renowned Ukrainian publishing house and bookstore Vivat. Faktor-Druk has the capacity to produce approximately 50 million hardcover and paperback books, 100 million magazines, and 300 million newspapers annually. The facility employs 400 people and encompasses 15,822 square meters of production space. According to Forbes Ukraine, Faktor-Druk is one of only two factories in Ukraine that can print products for Disney and Marvel, having successfully passed a rigorous multi-level audit." [Source]

LIST OF HEADCANONS TO EXPAND MORE LATER.

“hiccup” is his byname, not his real name. in many older norsemen cultures, people would have their real names (named at birth, generally reflecting social status and group blessings) and their bynames. bynames are equivalent to contemporary social names or nicknames. hiccup was named “hiccup” because of how often he stuttered as a shy kid, so it stuck with him. 

his real name is håkan (read as ‘HOHRKHAN’). translated to: “exalted son, mighty warrior, chosen by the heavens, one born to lead and rule, fitting for greatness”. it has a very noble-like tone to it, sounding almost princely. it’s a name of high status, symbolising his position as the son of stoick. therefore, the image painted by the name is very imposing and towering—which is why people are mostly confused and surprised to hear that hiccup is meant to be this ‘håkan’, heir of stoick’s legacy and tribe.

around httyd1, he was self-aware of his real name and never used it, thinking he was unfit and unworthy of it and all the connotations carried on those letters. by httyd2, he feels more confident accepting it, no longer flinching or hesitating when someone calls him by his name. instead, he seems to like it. in httyd3 and beyond, he varies in presenting himself as “hiccup”, “håkan”, or any of his other honorary titles.

some of his honorary titles include: “heart of dragon”, “first rider”, “cloud chaser”, “berk’s shield”, “blade cutter”, etc. they were given to him by the elders of berk.

i’ll have verses for him ranging from httyd1-httyd3+. he’s 15 in httyd1, 21 in httyd2 and 25+ in httyd3. i’ll mainly focus on his httyd2 and httyd3 adjacent verses. i’ll rarely write him before httyd2, except if it’s heavily plotted with writing partners. any other verses (aus or the like) will also have him as 21+ or older. i’m more interested in exploring his chieftain days and overcoming traumas.

takes his job and title as chief very, very seriously. he’s never seen slacking, always posing powerfully whenever in public. honouring his father’s legacy is one of his greatest desires.

he constantly forgets to eat and drink water when working in his forge. he’s known to be one of the best inventors in the history of berk, and by the time he takes the lead as a chief, he’s famous across northern lands for his brilliant mind and inventions. extremely curious and analytical, he feels the urge to perfectly understand how mechanisms work. he won’t rest until he gets it in all its processes, no matter how complicated or how long it takes. maybe he has a degree of autism or adhd? to be determined. an exceptionally skilled artist, he draws very realistic portraits and maps. he also has many journals scattered around his room and forge and always carries two or three in his bags. makes notes of absolutely anything that can be of interest to him and/or berk.

multi-lingual and lettered. adores poems and maybe even writes some of his own. even though it’s custom, he does not perform them—he is never seen singing or dancing, even when it is a celebration. he will only perform ritual dances to thank the gods, but not much more than that. he prefers drinking instead. 

demiromantic, bisexual. does not indulge in pda.

he’s a diplomat and a pacifist, but he’s not against taking arms to defend his own people. as a result, he might bite harder than he was bitten—it’s not in vain that he incorporates his titles. a dragon in human form. draike kyn.

Like I’m not even a fan of zendaya myself but she does not need anyone to sell. She’s a brand all on her own. She exudes IT girl factor because of her confidence and she’s actually dating one of the most famous young guys right now! Does anyone even say “tom holland’s girlfriend zendaya” when introducing her?? It’s more like “zendaya’s boyfriend” lol

Same with Florence. Florence dated Zach Braff who was also a lot older than her and had been in industry far longer - scrubs anyone? Garden state anyone? But Flo was the one who became the household name and multi Oscar nominated before she even turned 25. She even put everyone’s in place when they roasted her and Zach’s age gap - she was such a boss about it but shame they broke up. She stuck up and defended HIM and their relationship which I thought was so ballsy. But admirable.

Anya Taylor joy - another powerhouse who’s barely 27. She’s married too, Netflix shot her to critical and box office darling (she was acting way before that but queens gambit I believe put her on the global map).

Jenna Ortega. Barely 21 but went viral last year after being in the business like most of her young life.

All of these women are talented, attractive, young, and technically all could have just married or dated up if they wanted to get a quick taste of fame but instead they did it on their own name.

This is my biggest issue with soba. Before ramen she was already showing signs of Leeching with the endearing French baguette from Emily in Paris and I thought it was hugely telling that cup noodles was being a clout chaser when those two were hanging out with each other too. Baguette had a big and up coming career and he was the cute new guy on Netflix, and soba’s friends were QUICK to jump on that train.

You bring up excellent points with women in her age bracket. These women are making moves with talent to spare and are doing it all on their own. They’re also not afraid to further their craft.

The French Baguette actually posed with her multiple times. We got to see candid moments. The baguette seems to be doing great. As far as cup of noodles, he grosses me out completely.
