How To Convert Eyelashes

I was asked to make a tutorial on converting eyelashes. Well, here it is. Dirty, badly explained tutorial by Rollo. I'm assuming you know how to work with required programs, it won't teach you the basics, just a process of converting eyelashes from ts4 to ts3.

Requirements:

S4Studio

s3pe

TSR Workshop

Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter

These files (full credit goes to @gruesim)

Graphical program that works with .dds files

Let's go:

Open the desired lashes in S4Studio. Export diffuse of the ones you want to convert (you only need the black ones). You can also export the thumbnail. Close the program.

2. Unzip the folder that you downloaded from this tutorial. You will find a .dds files called "sclub eyelash". Open it up in the graphical program. Make a black layer above it and hide it for now.

3. Now open up your ts4 eyelashes file. Start from the upper eyelash, crop it and go to the sclub eyelash.

4. Paste it, click ctrl+i, it will make ts4 eyelash white.

5. This is the worst part. You have to make the ts4 eyelash fit to the sclub one as close as possible. Use every method possible!

6. Unhide the black layer and see if your eyelash look alright. It may need some sharpening.

7. Now crop the bottom eyelash and follow the exact same steps as for the upper eyelash.

8. It should look more or less like this. Bottom eyelashes are always harder to adjust and may need even more sharpening.

9. Merge your upper and bottom eyelashes, duplicate the layer. Click ctrl+a, ctrl+t, then right mouse button and choose "Flip Horizontal".

10. Voila. You should have a complete set of your new shiny eyelashes! Save them as .dds. You can close the program. We're moving to TSR Workshop.

11. New Project -> New Import. Import Eyelashes AFBase from the downloaded folder.

12. Name your project, name your file and click "Next".

13. You should see this. Go to Texture tab and click "Edit" on the Transparency Map.

14. Import your eyelashes and click "Yes" when asked.

15. You should see your lashes, yay! But this is TSRW, they won't look exactly the same in game, as they look here. If you want a set of eyelashes, add more presets.

16. Now this is important. If you want to see your eyelashes in Accessories, go to Project tab, Clothing Type and change it from eyeliner to glasses. You also have to do this if you have more than one preset in one file. They won't show up in Eyeliner section. If you want to have set of eyelashes in Eyeliner category, you have to make each preset into seperate file. Also, eyelashes are recolorable ONLY in Accessories section. Don't forget to check Categories section to see which outfit has the eyelashes available.

17. Now you're ready to export your file! Export -> To Sims3Pack. Use the Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to convert your sims3pack to package file. We're moving to s3pe.

18. THESE STEPS ARE ESSENTIAL! Open up your shiny new package in s3pe. Click on the GEOM with the right mouse button.

19. Click Replace and choose AUID.simgeom from the downloaded folder. AUID is for adults, CUID for kids and PUID for toddlers. We have one more step to do.

20. Now click on the CASP normally (left mouse button) and click Grid on the bottom of the program.

21. A small pop up window appears. Scroll to the very bottom and find a line called OverlayPriority.

22. Change the 8 to 2. This will make eyelashes not being visible through hair that's covering eyes.

23. Save your package. You're ready to test your converted eyelashes in game!

Here they are. Nothing fancy, it was a quick conversion :D They're also compatible with S-Club eyelash sliders ^^

Btw, you don't necessarily have to convert both upper and bottom eyelashes. You can have upper or bottom only. Play with the lenght, not all eyelashes have to be very long. Convert it for males, kids, toddlers. You just have to remember to change the options in TSRW and replace the correct .simgeom file in s3pe. There is a lot of possibilities and you'll probably get better in this than me :D

Could Have Been Me MAP Announcement

Could Have Been Me, A Multi Animator Project themed around giving Agent 4 the love they deserve. Agent 4. I've seen them referred to as the middle child of the agents. And while that works great for fan content angst, it's not the greatest for Agent 4 fans. I know everyone loves them (you better), but theres never too much affection for a blorbo. That's where this map comes into play! Could Have Been Me is a MAP using the song Could Have Been Me by The Struts. It's a fairly creatively open map - you can do nearly whatever - as long as it involves Agent 4! You can just use the blank slate of agent 4 from the games, but I'd looove to see folks show off their Agent 4 ocs! I know I'll be using mine :)

This map will have a hard deadline of February 28th. The map will be coming out April 4th, so the early deadline will give plenty of time for forgotten parts to be made and for me to edit. The Map Call will be premiering November 21! This is when applications will open as well. They'll be decided on over the course of the next week. This gives about 3 months to do your part! How to help the Ukrainian Book Industry

As per usual, I forget to post on Tumblr now a days. Let's talk Faktor Druk.

What happened?

Russia launched 15 missiles at Kharkiv. Faktor Druk, a printing house was hit twice (in total 3 strikes in the general area). Last I heard, 7 are dead. 22 are wounded. (During the strike, 50 employees were in the building.)

Why it matters? Most Ukrainian publishers had books printed there. Every 3rd Ukrainian book was printed there [Source]. You may think "it's only 50 000 fiction books", but no, it includes textbooks. As in, kids might not get any textbooks, because who else will print them when most books are printed in Kharkiv?

"The printing house Faktor-Druk is part of the Faktor company group, which also includes the renowned Ukrainian publishing house and bookstore Vivat. Faktor-Druk has the capacity to produce approximately 50 million hardcover and paperback books, 100 million magazines, and 300 million newspapers annually. The facility employs 400 people and encompasses 15,822 square meters of production space. According to Forbes Ukraine, Faktor-Druk is one of only two factories in Ukraine that can print products for Disney and Marvel, having successfully passed a rigorous multi-level audit." [Source]

On the whole, this destruction is part of the larger war where Russians have been destroying Ukraine.

Some more background

The first year of the full-scale invasion led to a 50% decrease in demand [Source]. Shelling in Kharkiv has led to a backlog due to limited electricity and a shortage of qualified personnel [Source].

In terms of operations, within 2022:

From the start of the full scale invasion to April 25th of 2024, the Russians have damaged 1062 cultural heritage sites [Source]:

Specifically, architectural and urban planning sites comprise 316 objects, architecture – 307, historical– 226, architecture and urban planning, historical – 61, archaeology – 56, architecture, historical – 39, monumental art – 21, urban planning and monumental-decorative art – 19, architecture, monumental art – 7, urban planning – 5, science and technology, architecture – 2, architecture and monumental art – 1, architecture, garden and park art – 1; architecture and garden and park art – 1.

From that same period of time, Russians damaged 1987 cultural institutions (324 destroyed) [Source].

Like I’m not even a fan of zendaya myself but she does not need anyone to sell. She’s a brand all on her own. She exudes IT girl factor because of her confidence and she’s actually dating one of the most famous young guys right now! Does anyone even say “tom holland’s girlfriend zendaya” when introducing her?? It’s more like “zendaya’s boyfriend” lol

Same with Florence. Florence dated Zach Braff who was also a lot older than her and had been in industry far longer - scrubs anyone? Garden state anyone? But Flo was the one who became the household name and multi Oscar nominated before she even turned 25. She even put everyone’s in place when they roasted her and Zach’s age gap - she was such a boss about it but shame they broke up. She stuck up and defended HIM and their relationship which I thought was so ballsy. But admirable.

Anya Taylor joy - another powerhouse who’s barely 27. She’s married too, Netflix shot her to critical and box office darling (she was acting way before that but queens gambit I believe put her on the global map).

Jenna Ortega. Barely 21 but went viral last year after being in the business like most of her young life.

All of these women are talented, attractive, young, and technically all could have just married or dated up if they wanted to get a quick taste of fame but instead they did it on their own name.

This is my biggest issue with soba. Before ramen she was already showing signs of Leeching with the endearing French baguette from Emily in Paris and I thought it was hugely telling that cup noodles was being a clout chaser when those two were hanging out with each other too. Baguette had a big and up coming career and he was the cute new guy on Netflix, and soba’s friends were QUICK to jump on that train.

You bring up excellent points with women in her age bracket. These women are making moves with talent to spare and are doing it all on their own. They’re also not afraid to further their craft.

The French Baguette actually posed with her multiple times. We got to see candid moments. The baguette seems to be doing great. As far as cup of noodles, he grosses me out completely.

Chapter 21 - A Quiet Moment

Warnings: brief mention of a major character's death, allusion to underage drinking

Summary: George struggles with his anxiety.

The train chugged along, it's rhythmic click and hiss the only sounds in their unusually quiet compartment. Fred and Angie were off somewhere enjoying a bit of alone time, before they parted ways for the summer. Lee, taking full advantage of their absence, was stretched out across the opposite seat, dozing.

Y/N napped as well, her head resting on George's lap. He mapped out her features, smoothing his thumb down her cheeks, throat and collarbones, before drifting back up to trace her chin and tickle her nose. He had to stifle a chuckle when she crinkled it up, making a funny, little snort.

Safe in their little bubble, George could almost pretend the world outside didn't exist, that Cedric Diggory hadn't been murdered, that Voldemort wasn't back, or that in two months, he wouldn't have to kiss Y/N farewell, trusting that in a year she would return to him for good.

The room suddenly felt too hot, too small. He took a few deep breaths hoping it would calm his palpitating heart, while his mind flooded once again with all the what-ifs. Every possible scenario, from her falling out of love with him to her falling down the stairs, replayed endlessly in his idiotic brain.

George hated he was this way. He hated that his thoughts controlled him. They always had, even as a child, and it only worsened as he got older. Now, with a definitive date for Y/N's departure, they consumed him, burning him like fire from within.

"Georgie? Are you ok?" Her voice was rough and heavy with sleep, yet it still quieted his demons, cowering them with whatever strange magic she possessed. How in Godric's name had he survived so many years without her? How was he going to survive the coming year?

"You know, you snort in your sleep," he smiled down at her.

"I what--?"

"It's the cutest thing ever."

Y/N's eyebrows scrunched together as she pushed herself up. "Have you been dipping into the firewhiskey?" It'd been an emotional week and she wouldn't have blamed him one bit. She'd considered it herself a couple of times.

George chuckled. "No, my sweet, completely sober. Unless you count being drunk with love."

Y/N scrutinized him for a long moment. It wasn't unusual for him to break out in cheesy declarations at random, but this seemed just a little too forced.

"Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

"Nothing you need to worry about right now."

He placed a finger on her lips just as she opened her mouth to protest.

"Later, my love." George gestured with a quick nod toward Lee, who was starting to wake up. Y/N had completely forgotten they weren't alone.

She nodded. "Ok. But I'll hold you to it."

George smiled, running a finger down her jawline. "I know."

Plotted 'bad end friend' type aus, depending on the muse they have ended up in a befiting bad fate villainous/victim role. Pre-existing example is my vr-Bart verse where he still thinks he is in a game and doesn't value life due to that.

Vampire aus, depending on the fandom I might have more fleshed out such as for Horror muses or twists to the formual like dc vs vampires inspired for dc vamp verses.

Ghost aus for my canonly dead muses.

Demon au, one muse is a human/witch or whatever, the other a demon. I will say depending on the muse or fandom things might be different, I'll probably end up with multiple demon aus for different fandoms at least.

Selectively post-Zombie aus, I will default to modern day settings unless told otherwise and I will use a Walking dead setup minus the walker name, zombie media would still have existed. I might be low muse or drop these as zombies are a horror I am sensitive to.

DC verses:

DC vs Vampires setup, someone in the super community has been turned into their own brand of vampire with a lot of the classic powers of a vampire and a curse to bring out the worse in a vampire, now the curse is spreading among the super community and to normal people too.

DCeased setup, a zombie-like virus started when technology was infected with a form of The Anti-Life Equation looking at screens was how the first were infected, both supers and civilians, everything is thrown into chaos and those who survived the very beginning now have to survive super powered zombies.

Horror verses:

Reversed role aus, for dbd I think it's obvious how this would work and for others it can be briefly ploted out.

Vampire au, there is a curse with a hunger for blood, it has infected many killers and former human horrors over the years bestowing them common vampire abilities and something special and horrorfyingly their own as a power. There are also humans this curse hungers far more for the blood of, these survivors and would be victims tend to band together as vampire hunters or as ghouls, aka humans who drink a vampire's blood for some weaker forms of their power.

Livevile, the muses have been kidnapped and put in a realm known as livevile, it appears as a small town with everything one could need and which has other horror characters living there. If someone is killed by another then the night will play out as normal but in the morning the dead will return to life. Now the big question is what made this place and why?

Monster Prom

The worst timeline au, this is during the end credits of the Prank Masterz ending of porm, can be canon complient or divite, also characters interduonced later are welcome on my or others side.

Dragon Age

Blighted au, this takes place in a slimmer timeline to the darkspwan dlc of origins where HOF died during the joining and the Blight got much much worse, possibly spreading to the larger world.

Bad timeline au, taking place in the bad timeline seen during the mage siding quest in dai The Herled went missing right before things started getting bad and the world is thrown into horror.

Borderlands verse

A mushroom, able to smemi control the dead and living and bring them to their feet found the body of Tyreen Calypso, who became it's head as a intelligent zombie, now the fungi is spreading among the galaxy as The Raiders try to fight it.

Payday verse

Zombie au, After the death of Bain and failure to defeat Murkywater the gang disposed of the masks and their identities within the Payday Gang, little did they know the virus that killed Bain would have his body rise to take revenge on the world of the living as he is paitent zero of a zombie virus.

And uhhh I really haven't had mental space to read a good long fic recently it's so sad!! I can't wait for holidays when I can spend 2 whole days thinking about nothing else and sink my whole body and soul into a story lol

Last book you enjoyed - I actually really like Crime and Punishment. but also: Worlds of Exile and Illusion by Ursula Le Guin

Last book you hated - Dune. I hated reading it so much really could not stand the prose sorry:((( I rly hope my own sci fi au doesn't read like that haha...

Favourite thing to cook/bake - I'm a rly impatient cook so recently it's a simple spicy soy sauce soup noodles. it's so quick and warm and tastes of home :)

Opinion on circuses - ...? (I don't... think I know anything about modern day circuses but I suspect it's the sort of thing that could send me into an existential spiral lmao)

Do you have a sense of direction and if not what’s the worst way you’ve gotten lost? - oooh you know what, I'm pretty good with maps and am quite proud of it haha, I did the directions for dad when I was 11 and we had like a week long road trip. that's not to say I've not had the dumbest way of getting lost though— was on a multi-day camping hiking trip this summer and literally FORGOT to bring a map, which is still fine as long as I had my phone but then MY PHONE DIED in the middle of a really fucking long day and then there was a military zone diversion and I couldn't find the fucking path and had to trek on the ROADS for like 2 hrs but then this rly nice man gave me a lift to the next town and all was well.

5. Is there any scene you're excited about writing?

I’m a little weird because I feel like every scene I’m excited to write about never lives up to the way I imagine it in my head 💀. BUT, last year when I wrote 25 Days of Elriel, one of the prompts was Last Christmas/Solstice (as in last Christmas I gave you my heart) and I had a really specific idea in my head, but it wasn’t translating to the page, so I wrote smut instead LOL 😂. AND THIS YEAR, I actually wrote the fic that was in my head from last year 🤣. I was walking my dog, got hit it the opening paragraph mid-walk, found the nearest bench and opened my google docs ap. The opening line is, “Elain was drunk under the mistletoe,” and I really liked how it turned out. But since I wrote it on my phone, it’s going to need some good editing 😛.

21. Is there any unwritten fic that you don't know if you ever will write?

Ooof, so my much 😀.

I had a BIG multi-chapter fic that was Elriel endgame, but only after some Casslain and Elain x Ruhn (not sure if they have a ship name 💀). And I have it all mapped out and outlined on my google docs, and it’s get to Taylor’s Red album — it’s gotten to the point where I now associate the entire album with my unwritten fic 😭.

I really love this idea HOWEVER

I started reading the Addicted series and I am a GLUTEN. And I’m mentally plotting out a massive three brothers x three sisters fic 😭

I would love to write both of these, but will I? 🤣

I’ve already told myself I’m not starting another multi-chapter fic until I’m finished with YPMG. Which I almost am 🥹

: That is a fun fact that I did not know for sure until this person just posted this 👆, since I thought that all of the Disney stores have been closed down for some time now unlike how they were there before all of this whole time before they started to close them all down, which I hope that the Disney stores to actually be able to go to still exist way before they are all gone, thank goodness for having the website of this though otherwise if the website of the Disney store is gone forever from the internet, there will be no more exclusive stuff from that place, but maybe they will be able to transfer it all to the rest of the internet for us to see, and get online delivery as well as getting it in the store like we used to before when the Disney store website, and the actual store was still around from before they took it off, and removed it from there! (As a note, there are a lot of bosses I haven't beaten yet due to missing some events and getting stalled out on the main story)

20 - Favorite boss battle:

At first I was gonna say the Sui-Xiang, but then I remembered the nine-minute time limit that added a lot of unneeded stress to that fight. I liked the overall vibe of it and the multi-phase setup, but it's held back by the time limit thing, and borrowing Surtr basically being a requirement to whittle down that monstrous health bar fast enough as a result.

So instead, I would say Andoain. Even with the frustrating amount of times I had to replay his stage, there was a fundamental logic and consistency to his moveset that was intuitive to figure out, yet still challenging to beat; and enforcing social distancing with my Operators was a good way to avoid the RNG Bouncing Bullet aspect some were complaining about. I may be wrong, but I think Guiding Ahead was the first time I put in the effort to actually beat the EX-stage version of the boss, because this was the first time it felt possible for me to do. He wasn't easy by any means, but still very satisfying and fun.

21 - Most difficult boss battle:

Viviana the Candle Knight. This may just be because I missed Near Light and so fought her in Contengiency Contract, but just as I had finally figured out the light tiles mechanic nonsense, (since I didn't get the proper tutorial on that ^^;) enough to hold off the first wave of enemies, she showed up and instantly deleted my top-leveled E2'd operators from the map just like that. I ragequit then and there and never looked back. I am not looking forward to the Near Light rerun.

I still ship her with Nearl though lol.
