I apologies for how long the drawn out absences in between my already known absences have been. I've been distracted on this natural high I had received whilst attending my first Ritual by Ghost last Wednesday.

That type of energy is indescribable , unforgettable, and desirable there on out. My first Ritual, the emotions it conjured had been foreign to me. I don't think I ever experienced a show feeling like that. I have been riding it in revisitation through the setlist that has been on an endless repeat since. Terribly missing my Papa.

What are your favorite villain tropes/archetypes?

Okay... let me do this in order because I actually have 4.

Magnificent Bastard - This trope entirely relies on charisma, but I love it because any antagonist that falls into this category is also humanized without removing anything that makes them a total fiend. I also love how versatile this trope is, and appreciate the amount of effort it takes to write an antagonist like this right.

Knight Templar - A rare type of villain to see, but I love whenever a Knight Templar is in the spotlight. These guys are driven by something they think of as truly righteous, be it motivated by tragedy or delusions. No matter the reason, these gentlemen are the definition of the idea of "every villain being the hero of their own story."

Complete Monster - When this type of villain, when done right, is amazing. A well established, unlikable, vile, and irredeemable piece of shit who consistently pushes the envelope of how horrid of a person they can be. And when monsters get their comeuppance on every single level, they make for some of the greatest villainous breakdowns (Prime Example: Ghetsis from Pokespe)

The Starscream/Smug Snake - They have no loyalty, they talk shit to allies and enemies alike, and they're just a treat to watch.

✧･ﾟOnce upon a time...

There lived two all-powerful cosmic beings named Estellora and Vespira. The twins loved the universe and all of the worlds, people and creatures within it. However, as eons passed, they could not agree on how best to manage and protect the cosmos. Estellora, The Librarian, had a laissez-faire outlook on the matter and wanted the worlds to remain completely open. She wanted for them to forever move forward and live their lives organically. She wanted to encourage travel, discoveries and establish connections. However… This, oftentimes, led to far reaching interstellar conflicts.

Vespira, The Collector, anguished and worried over each and every world and feared said conflict more than anything. She believed that the worlds simply weren’t meant to ever expand past their own domain because they could be incompatible with their neighbors for a myriad of reasons. Eventually, she wished that they could remain in perfect stasis, unchanging.

And so, the sisters fought, until eventually, Vespira unleashed her power and sought to do what she thought was right. One by one, she effectively stole several worlds, turning them into marbles to love and adore within her shrine behind glass.

They were unharmed, but… frozen in time.

Estellora couldn’t stand idly by and so, with a heavy heart, waged battle with Vespira.

The fate of the universe lies in the outcome of this conflict…

✧･ﾟOut of Character Information

Stellar Sanctum is a semi-literate to literate multifandom server for users 18+ that allows characters from any media (ie: anime, manga, video games, movies, comics, books, etc.)

The setting is a micro planet called the Stellar Sanctum. It is Estellora’s home, and characters will be living in her beautiful castle that floats in the night sky. Down below the castle by way of a magical starry road, is a place called Polaris Town. It is inhabited by cute and friendly rabbit-like creatures named Polarians. They love and revere Estellora and her daughter, Lunamina.

The Stellar Sanctum is a safe space for the characters who are now effectively refugees in this cosmic conflict. However, Vespira’s forces will find their way in from time to time to stir up trouble. These events can include things like monsters to fight, mysteries to solve, stolen items to retrieve, and so on.

Characters by default have most of their powers in tact, however, Lunamina is always watching diligently and reports all happenings back to her mother. If Estellora catches any whiff of significant trouble in her sanctum, she can impose consequences such as limitations on powers, closing off locales to certain characters, separating certain characters entirely, and so on.

Muns are required to communicate with the mod team in order to maintain balance, keep story beats and plot points consistent, but also, to collaborate and help build the world! The Stellar Sanctum has a firm aesthetic and mostly whimsical energy, but we want to play in this sandbox together.

CH and Beacrox: *takes Cale from HD and supports him* Sui: *sighs and presses his temples* CJS: *hides face behind his hat but unable to hide his fluctuating energy* While everyone was panicking, Cale was like "How do I cough blood gracefully?" and "I must look more horrible than monsters and ghosts"... 🤣🤣🤣

HD joins the worrying-about-Cale club. And VoH talks back at Cale's wish to cough blood gracefully 😂

Unfortunately, we didn't see Raon shoving apple pie in Cale's mouth.

As for the other people, Splitter Saint was in awe of Cale's sacrifice and came to a realization something. He wished to be Cale's disciple, but knew his chance was slim, so he said that YMKim would be his master in his heart. And Elder Ho was agreeing like he understood, being the Caleism believer he is. 😂

Toonka Spreading Caleism This part was touching and funny for me. The Sima siblings and Ha Mun were worried about Cale, but Toonka just laughed and reassured them that Cale would be fine. He then proceeds to tell them about Cale's past blood coughing episodes and sacrifices, and everyone listens intently... Ah, is this the beginning of Caleism in the Evil Faction? 🤣

The flashback of Cale and Toonka's conversation was also funny: Cale: Toonka. Are you close with the Evil Faction these days? Toonka: Yes! We fight every day! Cale: Good. Then continue being friends with the people from the Evil Faction. Don't get hurt. Ah, what am I saying? Toonka: Hahaha! Cale: Sigh. Anyway, find out what they are doing.

Cale is still in denial that he's worried about Toonka. 🤣🤣🤣

There was also another part where Toonka thought that Cale would be fine because he was not the kind of person to die and leave the young dragon behind. He believed that Cale would not turn away from someone weaker (originally) than him, someone he needed to protect. Aww... 🥰

Heavenly Demon's Night Visit Another funny part. HD visited Cale in the middle of the night and found him lying on the bed in agony. But our tsundere Cale claimed that he was perfectly fine, having been full from the steak and cookies he had eaten... Of course, HD did not believe him. 😂

Ending Remarks Frankly, I was disappointed that the reaction of LSH and CJS was only one sentence while the murim world characters had paragraphs of it. 😑 Toonka's thoughts were quite endearing though.

Next chapter will be more HD and Cale conversation, so look forward to it!

What's all this with the rpc making you a villain?

[I should first preface this with the fact that it isn't the DB RPC. In fact, the Dragonball RPC, save for a few times, has always been chill and a really great place to hang out. There are some really cool and creative people here, and I'm so grateful for them. They're also very chill and, for the most part, can recognize the difference between a harmless opinion about a character in a series, the difference between IC and OOC thoughts and behaviors, and actual, harmful "vague blogging" and toxic behavior.

The rest under the cut because I sort went overboard.

That said, that's basically what I've been dealing with for months in another RPC (which I'm sure plenty of you know which it is if you know my blog count). In short, I've been lectured and turned into a monster by a very clique-ish RPC seemingly for my character not always being sunshine and rainbows and for both of us having opinions that go against the grain of the rest of them. It seems that since a mun did not like the way my character interacted with theirs--this was all IC I want to let you know--they've spread a whole bunch of lies about me being a bully and toxic to the rest of the RPC, which is small and, according to someone who decided to lecture me, "everyone" in this RPC are friends and they all talk (first telling me plainly you're not part of the "in" group so you can't "misbehave" like their friend did with ACTUAL vague blogging in this particular scenario as well as confirming the very clique-ish nature of the RPC). Through this is how THEY heard about how "terrible" I am and told me they didn't want to RP with me. Which you know, on it's face, whatever. That part wasn't the issue and I'm sure you can see what was.

So, since then, it's been a constant fight against people, anonymously or not, coming at me over literal nothing posts. Telling me I shouldn't "vague blog", passive aggressively telling me that there is an X character blog in the RPC and that mine or my character's "harsh" opinion might hurt their feelings. For then and perpetually having to defend myself and explain my POV, that my character isn't a ray of sunshine, that IC =/= OOC. Just to be told I was the one being aggressive and rude and a horrible person for doing nothing wrong from the jump. For making a nothing post about, in this most recent case, the portrayal of a character IN A CANON(ish) SOURCE (it's a side game that technically isn't part of the canon, for reference). Nothing about how someone played them. Nothing about any particular mun. Literally just IC commentary from my character and a short, fair critique of the depiction of this character in this particular source material. Oh, and then it was a lecture about doing it "publicly" (the conversation was in replies where the person STARTED IT I should add), so...you know.

And that's not mentioning the blatant double standard there seems to be when I have friends that post similar stuff and never hear a peep from anyone about it. They're not blocked by basically everyone. They're not getting messages or replies to their posts with people clutching their pearls and lecturing about RP decorum.

I've been basically blocked by at least half of that RPC, a ton of them people I've never even interacted with, so I can't help but feel some type of way about what might be being said about me behind closed doors. I'm not even sure if the story I told you above is where this started. I did make a mistake that I owned up to years ago when I lost my temper, so I'm not sure if that ordeal got me a bad rep or if it's just all this recent garbage that people have flung at me for just...running my stupid blog. For my character being rougher around the edges and for both of us being outspoken and opinionated. Like I understand I won't be everyone's cup of tea. That's fine. But as I've said...I can't help but feel this is a targeted effort. That this is a group of people poisoning my name and putting me on an RPC wide DNI list.

This probably sounds like me playing the victim, but I really don't understand why it's happening. At all. Everyone I've talked to that knows the situation are as stumped as me. I just really don't get it, and there's nothing I can do about it. I guess I just have to accept my role of the resident monster and just RP with the people who give me a chance and who know me already.]

This Alastor will have arcane magic abilities, mostly powered by and through radio. He sacrifices his victims, mostly the worst of society, to his ancient deity he traded power for. His powers align more Eldritch for me.

4. What old character would you love to bring back?

In truth, I enjoyed my Alternate Universe version of Sir Galahad ( Grayson ) from The Order 1886 video game.  He was bitten in the final showdown by a man that was just as much of a brother as he had been a lover in my au. Turning him into a halfbreed ( lycan ) , the very thing he hunted passionately for centuries. I enjoyed the headcanons that I made for him, the plot in waiting that never got to be played out. At least not fully. 5. What is a character you love, but don’t think you can write?

Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy , or just Regis for short.  A barber - surgeon from the Witcher series, both book and game . He has not been introduced just yet on the television show. Who holds a darker secret.  I just fear I could never do him justice , but he does have  a powerful and special place in my heart.

20. Do you need music/noise to write or do you prefer silence?

At times I do need music, while others I need a different type of background noise.  Green noise, white noise , brown noise, low frequencies to drown out  anything that can cause my brain to wander.  Too much silence and my brain gets side tracked.  Too much noise and my brain is an overwhelmed stress magnet. It’s hard to balance it out on some days.

Hey everybody! Admins here to wish you a Happy late 4th of July and we hope you all enjoyed your holiday especially if any of you were off from work! Getting to the point of the post, we’ve been keeping a close eye on you all the last month or two and we’ve been noticing a few trends that we feel like are ignoring some of the key values here at ISRTM. So, let’s get into some things.

Connections. We would never discourage y’all from making friends here on dash, however we’ve noticed some of them actively ignore television and the nature of their relationships as a whole. Two wrestlers who are currently feuding or were feuding at some point in the past CANNOT be good friends now/again with no explanation. No, you can’t just point to them being friends IRL and call it kayfabe. For example, if Britt and Jamie began feuding tomorrow, does it make sense to still have them the best of friends? No, it wouldn’t. Now when the feud is done whatever the nature of their friendship is entirely up to the muns, BUT—there needs to be an explanation. You can do this via paras, text messages, private posts, public posts, etc. Again, it does not make sense to have 2 people who were in a blood feud be friends at random without any sort of WHY. This leads into our second point: feuding.

We noticed a lot of y’all are apprehensive when it comes to feuds/arguments and while we completely understand, we’re all adults here. None of us have gone through life without fights and your muses are no different. Shying away from fake conflict leads to some of y’all outright ignoring the feuds on TV and that defeats the purpose of a kayfabe RP. Y’all’s muses should be fighting & arguing during feuds, not ignoring each other. Keep in mind boundaries & communication with each other, because remember: IC =/= OOC.

Heel & face alignments do not dictate who is friends with who. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: anyone can be friends here, but there needs to be an explanation behind it. Also, you cannot expect everyone to be friendly with your muse no matter whether they’re heels or babyfaces. Not every heel needs to be friends just because they’re both evil and not every face needs to be friends because they’re nice. Not every character is gonna agree with the other and if you play a character that has done really bad things, expect them to not be well liked. If that’s not something you can handle, you don’t need to play that character.

Characterization. Guys, we love y’all but we really need to study our muses. We understand a lot of y’all crave connections but please do not sacrifice the muse’s personality and history for the sake of ships and connections. Play the character as you truly feel they’d be in kayfabe, not how you want them to be or a specific kind of character you’ve always wanted to play. We allow OCs if that’s what y’all wanna do.

Be HONEST with yourselves. Not every muse is a badass. Not every muse can beat up the other. There is nothing wrong with your muse losing or being a total geek. Everybody is different. For example, GUNTHER is a monster heel that could more than likely destroy majority of the characters here. It makes sense to portray him that way. IT IS HOW HE IS PORTRAYED ON TV. Like this post and message us with “yes, chef”. This is how we will know if you’re actually reading. If you don’t send the message, we will consider kicking you. The Miz is a chickenshit heel who runs from confrontation most of the time and acts smug about it. No he cannot act like a badass and beat up everybody just because you want him to. Again, if that’s not a muse you wanna play then do not pick them up.

When physical altercations DO happen, the outcome is to be somewhere in the middle unless one mun offers to have theirs lose entirely or it doesn’t make sense in any way. For example, Fuego Del Sol cannot hold his own against Roman Reigns. That’s obvious. Any other matchup should acknowledge the current booking of the characters and their strength on television. Also, COMMUNICATE.

We need some more effort from y’all. We’re tired of logging on after a full work day and seeing that the dash has barely moved or nothing interesting happened. We’re tired of not seeing paras, we’re tired of the same topics, we’re tired of no plots. We’re tired of doing events for you guys and hardly anyone participates. Yes, we know everyone has their own lives but at this point y’all either need to make time or leave. All of the admins have full-time jobs and we make the time. Roleplay IS a hobby, but nobody half-asses a hobby. If I like to paint in my spare time, I put effort into my craft. It’s the same for creative writing, which is what RP is at its core, especially KAYFABE RP. We’re not interested in their everyday lives, we’re interested in their storylines. Now if you don’t wanna put in that much effort, you don’t feel you like can, if you disagree with what’s being said here, that’s fine. But you don’t need to be here. There are plenty of non-AU groups out there and no, our feelings wouldn’t be hurt if you left. We’re not holding you hostage. Amidst general laughter, the woman stood straight. Jang Uk shifted his body to stand more firmly behind her shoulder. 

“This one,” he said, “is Lady Jang.”

Laughter turned to choking and coughs as Jang Uk drew a cool, level gaze across the new Assembly. It was one thing to mock the Jin family, which had come within a hair of losing their shrine even before the crisis. It was another altogether to insult the wife of a man with incomprehensible power who had also, under still-uncertain circumstances, been the last to see every one of their predecessors alive.

if i can give ONE thing that gives me a major ick within the RPC, its fetish roleplay blogs. yknow the ones - strictly smut blogs with half assed writing but their muse pages are FULL of stolen 1080p 4k art of anime girls drawn with very exaggerated proportions (often for fat fetish folks or just. straight up porn) and they smack that on their blog.

the amount of times ive had those blogs follow me because they see "monster girls" and think im like that makes me so irritated. ive had one ghost me because i didnt give them the smut content they wanted for an open starter a couple years back, and i gave them the benefit of the doubt that it'd be different! but nope! i asked them after like, two weeks. their excuse was they were super busy, but they had been responding to a smut thread for a week straight with consistent replies...

they're not my cup of tea and ive disliked them showing up in my activity. the muns behind them don't look for actual fun roleplaying threads from my experience, it's ONLY wanting smut. they are the only types of roleplay blogs i HAVE NOT enjoyed writing with, or even tried writing with. people who genuinely write that sort of content but do it so poorly are folks that i genuinely DO NOT like seeing in this community bc of how they act towards others and how they brand themselves in the RPC. its just really fucking weird.

EVENT 003. THE HALLOWS

the month of october brings a thinning of reality. among the logical, modern planes of ansan, one might call it a cosmic force that humans have simply yet to explain. but other times, other worlds, might call it MAGIC.

welcome to our official halloween event ! this event will run from 01. october to 31. october. it’s a bit different from previous events, because instead of a plot drop, we are creating an alternate fantasy / supernatural version of ansan called THE HALLOWS, in which the canonical hypermodern city of ansan is transforming into a troubled village at the borders between the real plane and the monstrous plane. ridden with mysterious disappearances, blighted creatures, and supernatural beings wandering in plain sight, the hallows ultimately shares ansan's fate: the world has left it behind.

participation in this event is optional. all posts pertaining to this au should be tagged as #rmnt:hallows to keep them distinct from canon. if you’d like to participate, reply to this post with the following information below the cut, and read on for more details!

OOC DETAILS.

as this event is considered an AU, anything that occurs in this alternate universe will not be considered "canon" in the rp's canon plot.

you can of course take inspiration from either versions of your muse or even carry over plots, but to avoid godmodding, please make sure to respect each other's characterizations. ex: if Muse A knows something about Muse B in this au that they don't know in canon, then Muse A's mun should respect that distinction (unless both muns plot it beforehand).

plots in this au can match / mirror plots in canon verse, but they do not have to.

there are no restrictions on what supernatural creatures or abilities your muse can have, but given the nature of some powers, please communicate with your writing partners to avoid godmodding! if your muse has supernatural powers that affect another muse's physicality, emotions, memories, dreams, anything outside of your own muse, please discuss it with the other mun first.

this is meant to be a fun seasonal event, so please don't feel pressured to structure it like a brand new intro for a new muse. you can give as much / as little detail as you'd like.

THE WORLD.

for this event, ansan will be a small village called the hallows. it is situated at the end of a dying continent, right at the edge of the sea. a magical, corrupting force called the blight has begun encroaching into the physical world, bringing monsters, demons, and other infernal creatures upon the lands.

much like with ansan, many residents of the hallows have fled to escape the approaching danger. the blight has already spread nearby and people have been disappearing for the last several years due to monster attacks . . . or worse.

although humans and supernatural creatures used to live in peace and mutual cooperation, the monster attacks have driven a wedge between them. supernatural creatures aren't compelled to hide and humans know that they exist, but with recent tensions, they've begun to look at each other with fear and distrust.

in place of the enforcer division, a mayor and a small council of elders oversees the village. a lack of a centralized law enforcement means that citizens rely primarily on each other to uphold the peace, for better or worse.

in place of kawi-makgi, there is a small fairgrounds where an autumn fair has blown in for the season, hosting small feasts and village dances.

in place of the nightrunners, there are drifters and adventurers, all with their own individual aims. some purely adventure for the thrill, while others seek fame and fortune. all kinds of adventuring jobs ( think mini quests ) are posted at the village bulletin.

in place of orbital, a tavern sits at the heart of the village, where one can find just about any kind of person, human or creature.

in place of mise-en-scène, a modest stage theater provides a variety of live entertainment, from performers to marionettists to illusionists.

in place of the old ansan observatory is a lighthouse that guides ships home…even though more of them leave every day rather than arrive.

to the west, across a vast ocean, is a new land known as astra, where many have fled for a better life.

to the east is a forest and an approaching thicket of magical darkness that blots out the sun and corrupts all life in its path. it is said that the darkness thins the barriers of reality, and that, shrouded long enough, a place can suddenly burst as a gateway for infernal creatures. this darkness hasn't reached the hallows yet, but there have already been monster sightings in the eastern forest.

feel free to take creative liberties with other locations not mentioned or even create your own. as a general blanket statement, this is a non-modern, fantasy, and supernatural verse, so flavor your locations accordingly!
