Heyyyy I love your dc stories and I wanted to ask if you maybe would write one for me.

Story would be: Teen trans!male reader that is (soon to be officially) adopted by the batfam and has been with them for a while. He didn‘t tell them he was trans and Jason was going into reader‘s room for a usb stick or something like that and sees blueprints and a handmade binder reader made so he can patrol better. Reader walks in on Jason staring at the binder and almost get‘s a panic attack. That is because the adoption is to be official soon and reader is scared that they would kick him out for being trans. Jason comforts him and it turns into a heart to heart. Dick and Tim were searching for their brothers bcs patrol starts soon and they didn‘t show up in the cave. They find them in reader’s room. And then fluff just ensues.

Four days. Four days until you become a legal member of the family. At first, you were ok keeping being trans a secret, but the closer the official adoption day came, the more anxious you became. Sure, Bruce donated to tons of LGBTQ+ charities and several of your brothers were on the queer spectrum, but how would he feel having a son who was…different?

Would he still want to adopt you? Even worse—you knew your family’s more private lives. How you had taken on a private life. What would happen when Bruce tosses you aside when he inevitably finds out?

You were sitting in the kitchen, scrolling on your phone and eating cereal despite it being around 12:00 am.

The door to the kitchen opened and you glanced up to see Jason coming in, clad in his Red Hood suit, save for the helmet.

“Yo, loser. You got a free usb? Need it for blackmail storage.” He asked casually.

You raised your eyebrows in a ‘seriously?’ expression and swallowed the bite in your mouth.

“Yeah, it’s in my room on my desk. Next to the lamp.” You went back to scrolling through your phone. “You better buy me another one, I need it for a school project.”

Jason just gave you a thumbs up and walked out of the kitchen. When he got to your room he walked to your desk and grabbed the usb, but something akin to blueprints caught his eye and he stopped to examine them.

‘Hope he doesn’t go snooping through my room, I could have embarrassing stuff lying around.’

You thought to yourself, taking the final bite of cereal.

‘Though I don’t know what he’d find—basically everything embarrassing is hidden or put away…’

You drank the milk from your bowl and got up to put it in the sink.

‘What did I even do in my room today?’

You were hardly paying attention to whatever was on your phone screen now.

‘basically just worked on making my binder and I put that away—‘

Your heart dropped to your stomach and suddenly the cereal wasn’t sitting well with you.

‘You didn’t put it away because you weren’t done with it tonight. You didn’t put it away because you were hungry.’

You dropped your bowl and it shattered on the kitchen floor. You ran as fast as you could to your room, through the broken shards of the bowl.

You practically threw yourself up the stairs and sprinted so fast to your room you almost passed it. You caught yourself on the doorframe, panting heavily. Your feet stung so much, you dropped to your knees.

To your horror, Jason held the design for your binder in one hand and the prototype in the other. Your throat constricted suddenly and you heaved for air. Jason looked at you and he dropped the binder and blueprints in his hand. He rushed to your side.

“Hey hey hey hey. What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Deep breaths. In for four, out for four. Follow my breathing.” Your older brother placed your hand on his chest and demonstrated the breathing patterns.

You followed to the best of your ability, focusing on being able to breathe so you could talk and explain and maybe—just maybe—have a chance to not blow this.

When you could breathe relatively normally again, you immediately began to explain.

“I swear—I swear—it’s not—I don’t—I just—PLEASE DON’T KICK ME OUT! YOU’RE THE ONLY REAL FAMILY I’VE EVER KNOWN AND—” You settled for when you couldn’t explain what was found out about you.

“HEY!” Jason snapped you out of your rambling. “Who said anything about being kicked out?”

You hadn’t even realized his arm was around your shoulders but it suddenly felt comfortably heavy. You rubbed away the tears that had gathered in your eyes and looked at him.

“First off, you’re still being adopted, ok? Nothing will change that.” He started with. “Second. What you’re doing is extremely dangerous. Why are you binding unsafely?”

You looked up at him.

“I just…I couldn’t bring myself to even consider coming out to you.” You gulped heavily, looking back to the ground. Jason’s arm tightens around you comfortingly.

“I’m sorry if we ever made you feel like that. I’m sorry if I ever made you feel like that.” Your older brother says sadly.

You shook your head ‘no’, leaning into him.

“It wasn’t your fault. I just didn’t have the courage…” You trail off.

“When I came out—it—“ Jason huffs a laugh. “Man—it was awful.”

You looked at him, urging him to keep going.

“Ok, so I found out I like guys and girls, right?” He was smiling now, adjusting himself into a more comfortable position. “But I was all anxious to come out, ya know? I found a guy I wanted to go out with and I didn’t wanna hide it from…dad.” You didn’t ignore Jason actually calling Bruce ‘dad’.

“—and this was before Dick came out so he had like barely any idea about labels and stuff—“ Your older brother continued. “So I stand up and tell him ‘Bruce, I’m bi.’” Jason paused.

“And?” You asked.

“I have never seen someone so smart, so confused. He says—entirely seriously—‘Jason, you only speak one language.’” Jason burst out into laughter.

You laughed with him. It felt nice. You felt seen, in a way.

Time passed, you’re not sure how long. Maybe an hour? It was long enough for two of your other brothers to take notice and look for their missing brothers, ready to berate them for being late to patrol.

You and Jason were on the floor wheezing after he had showed you some meme he found.

You heard a knock on the door and saw your two older brothers peer into your room. Dick titled his head and Tim raised an eyebrow at the state of you and Jason. Them walking in sobered you up a bit from your laughing fit. You swallowed and glanced at Jason. He sat up and nodded at you encouragingly.

Dick and Tim glanced between the two of you. You stood up and cleared your throat.

“I’m—I’m trans.” You ripped the band aid off.

Dick and Tim blinked owlishly at you. Tim talked first.

“So…your pronouns are—?” Tim started.

“—he/him.” You interrupted.

Tim nodded, still seeming to process the information. Your answer seemed to only confuse Dick more. Jason made eye contact with Dick and gave him a look of “say something, asshole.” That startled Dick from his stupor.

“Dude! I’m so proud!” He said gleefully, opening his arms for a hug, which you gladly gave.

Tim gave you a side hug too.

“Does Dad know?” Dick asked.

You shook your head

“No.” You sighed.

“You probably should tell him.” Tim patted you on the back.

“But what about the adoption—“ You were cut off by Jason.

“Hey, what did I say about the adoption?” Jason scolded.

You groaned. “Yeah yeah…coming out won’t change anything…” You sighed.

Your three older brothers nodded in approval which made you roll your eyes.

“We’re proud of you.” Dick smiled and ruffled your hair. “Bruce will be too.” He added.

“Proud of what?”

You looked to the door and saw your father standing in the doorframe.

You took a deep breath and walked over to your father.

“Dad, I’m trans.” Your voice cracked and you couldn’t meet his eyes.

A large hand rested on your shoulder. You looked at Bruce.

The Metahuman Initiative

An urban fantasy/science fiction series focused on people with superpowers, known as metahumans, within a massive, high-tech city specifically designed to study them.

Main characters are Nat Carter, Rini Callaghan, and Marlowe Hierro.

After being released from prison, six months after the murder of their family, Nat is given a new home in the Callaghan Institute, where they race aggressive and suspicious police officers to find the true killer of their family and get the closure they need, whatever it might be, before the cops decide Nat is their real target.

At the Institute, Rini, Professor Callaghan's adoptive daughter, takes poorly to Nat's arrival, and to try and alleviate the problem, the professor assigns Rini to find a mysterious and terrified metahuman that just arrived in the city - Marlowe, who currently has no idea who they are or what to do.

But Veda has a lot more going on than can be seen on the surface, and as the three of them delve deeper, the horrors and truth of Veda City, and how it connects to each of them, begin to show themselves.

Starkyda

A steampunk/science fantasy series focused on multiple groups of people vying for control of a floating island on the edge of the apocalypse. Some groups include dragon riders at a fascist military academy, criminals in the literal underbelly of the city, council members and politicians with their own agendas, and a farmer and midwife who just wants to go home.

Main characters are: many.

For three hundred years, the Blight has pushed out from the massive breach at the bottom of the ocean and infected not just the waters, but the entire world. Now, as the inhabited islands become the next target for the Blight to swallow up, a beacon of hope is appearing on the island closest to destruction: Tairkyda.

Saoirse Cuirc is thirteen years old when she declares to the statues of the gods that she is a girl, not the son so many believe, and becomes the first person in three hundred years to see the Goddess.

And the first person in history to be Chosen to wield the mortal portion of her power.

Now, six years later, at nineteen, Saoirse is entering Tairkyda's mandatory military academy alongside her best friend, Lucian, and their freshly hatched dragons. But Saoirse isn't the only outsider, this year, and it's clear that most of those in power don't want any of them here.

A sprawling, epic fantasy with urban fantasy and science fantasy elements - a genre blend of a world inspired by the 80s - taking place in a world of many, fantastic creatures, oodles of queerness, and at least one apocalyptic level threat a month.

Following many characters, Beurkratti is a series about friendship and connection, about mystery and intrigue, and about how the search for information in the past can lead to great things in the future.

We drop into Beurkratti right as the apocalyptic level threats are starting to get worse than usual, and the Wardens, keepers of peace and safety around the world, start trying to bring things down to normal and see what changed.

From this, we follow dozens of characters across many different stories, including Katya, a half-orc Warden with chronic pain and a service shoulder dragon who travels Beurkratti looking for answers to the inevitable decay of the mind all Wardens suffer, as well as helping out wherever she can.

And if she comes across a brothel or two along the way - hey, bonus!

I don't really do the awareness week things cuz I draw during pride month but finding out (learning how to read a bio status that's been in my face every time I open their blog) that @hellishgayliath is aro, I wanted to incorporate them! I know I say I appreciate them a lot but ITS BECAUSE I DO!

This is also a reveal that Luci is aro spec! I am not aromantic myself, but I have done my research into it. However, if I do make any stereotypical or offensive characterizations for Luci, please let me know so I may change that! I find it funny that both Repo & Luci wouldn't know of the labels lgtbqia+ so Luci has no idea what aromantic is lol

Okok, so I designed Luci in late December. I make characters in my head for fandoms I'm in all the time, but I never draw them out because I never care to. I didn't really consider making a rottmnt oc until Helli dropped their Bao character which is followed when I started making fanart of Helli's sons. I decided, "I have nothing better to do, so why not" and I really like moths, so why not a moth oc?

Seeing Pico & Bao made me really want to put Luci in a relationship, and I had (and still have) a character in mind that I'd pair her with. But the more I drew her and explored her character, I wasn't as sure. Around this time I learned what QPRs (queer platonic relationship) are and the best way I can describe them is that they're like deeper (more-than-platonic-but-not-romantic) soulmates.

This led me into the aro spec rabbit hole (ha, hi Helli) and I learned a lot about aro labels and aromanticism in general, to which some things I didn't know I connected with lol. And I am aware, since it's a spectrum, that some aros are in relationships, single, interested in romance, repulsed, or a mess of all these things.

But I still wasn't sure if I felt putting Luci in some kind of relationship (more towards a QPR) was okay? I haven't said much on Luci's view on relationships and romance, and I'll do that in another post so I'm not writing an essay over here lol. Because I'm aware that some people do go down that route of "Well some aromantics do date, so I can draw this character in a relationship" and no hate though as peeps can do what they want. I just didn't want to do that with Luci.

So really I'm on the fence of the possibility, and if I do, I want to do it in a way that's respectful to aro's with boundaries or dislikes Luci would have if she was in a close relationship. Of course, I could be overthinking this, which is why I shortened this post in the first place lol, but I'm also a paranoid socially anxious person that doesn't want to be offensive especially since my moot is on this spectrum. I will accept any tips or advice if they're offered; I just wanted to yap and blah blah.

Vbs queer headcanons because why not

- An who has bisexual parents and knew from a young age she liked girls and didn't really need to do a coming out. She just talked about her girl crushes to them and they supported her.

- Kohane who was super anxious when she started questioning her gender and sexuality so she did a big "cliché coming out" to her parents who were super supportive, and probably bought her pride pins and have a "i love my gay daughter" shirt or something.

- Transguy Akito who knew he was a guy from a young age, probably told Ena first who went with him when he did his coming out (Shinei was glad to have a son, he doesn't care either way, I feel like he dated dudes in college as well). Akito never mentions the fact that he's trans or gay, he'll just sometimes talk about his binder hurting or a crush he had on an male actor or something and people just stare at him in disbelief.

- For Toya, loving Akito is just so natural, he doesn't really think about labels, probably was highly attached to the gay characters in the books he read without really understanding why for a while. I'm torn between him doing a power point to his parents to come out, or him never mentioning anything until he drops the bomb that he's engaged to Akito.

- Kotaro. It's impossible he doesn't have a crush on Akito and realized he was queer because of him. He's that reddit post about a a guy worried he's being homophobic towards his roommate but he actually has a crush on him.

- Arata and Souma. Do I even have to say anything atp, I think they're the type of couple that would hold hands even after they fight because they would be sad about it.

- Taiga is gay have you seen this man? You don't get have a tiger fursona and be straight. Definitly had a thing with Ken when they were younger.

- Nagi... That's a bi ace woman for sure.

Okay I’m thinking about Sirius coming out to Effie and Flea over Christmas break in like sixth or seventh year. He’s so so so anxious about it and he gets them alone when James is off doing things that James does. They’re in the loungeroom maybe and Sirius wont even look at them he’s so nervous he feels like he’s gonna be sick.

And then he says it. He just comes out and tells them he’s queer and that he hopes they don’t kick him out because he really can’t change who he is.

And then they’re just kinda sitting there like (1) we would never kick you out what the fuck (2) we don’t want you to change who you are you beautiful boy you are our son oh my Merlin (3) we already know

And then Sirius is like what the fuck and he turns to look at them to also see that James has somehow ended standing in the doorway silently staring at Sirius because he didn’t know Sirius was gay either and Sirius is about to start freaking out.

He’s like you knew?

And effie and flea are just like yeah obviously I mean you and James aren’t subbtle. Who do you think put the condoms in your bedside table draws?

And then James and sirius both immediately start freaking out spluttering out shit and Effie and Monty can’t understand any of it and they’re just like “it’s fine we love you both and obviously have supported your relationship for years. Why would we have a problem. Of course we are happy for the both of you you’re just so in love it’s adorable”

And that’s how James and Sirius work out they like eachother back. :) <3

Technically it's Love of Fate because it doesn't have an ending. It was supposed to be a prologue to something longer that would eventually have a happy ending, and that I simply never wrote lol

That said, the true angstiest ending is probably my All there's left is a ghost of you series - same moment, one from Simon's pov, the other from Baz's. Set between carry on and wayward son, which tells you everything about why it's here :) (Although arguably, those are hopeful endings. Kinda.)

Almost everything I write has a happy-ish ending, but the one indisputable happiest ending is probably How I wonder what you are

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not necessarily hate, but one time I did get someone mocking my fic for a mistake I made. Which, like, I deserved, for straying so far out of my comfort zone lol

Anyway. I have upped my research game since, so. Lesson learned?

Seriously, though, I tend to write weird stuff I can't find elsewhere. Someone once mentioned there's little mirror sex fic in the fandom, and BAM! I got the itch to write one. I've also tried my hand at web cam sex, body modification, and... [reads smudged handwriting] cemetery sex?

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I haven't yet, but never say never, right? Although I'm much more likely to just write AUs instead. As in, take the world of the original, chuck the characters and just replace them with snowbaz lol

Probably not? I mean. I hope so lol

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope. I've thought about doing it myself, but there's roughly any engagement with fics in Portuguese on AO3, so it doesn't feel worth the trouble

Seriously though, I find that I tend to be either too verbose or too succinct when I don't know exactly what I'm trying to say. Like, I either charge through it and the thing falls flat, or I drag it on for several paragraphs that amount to barely anything. Hopefully, I can mitigate that with the power of editing and beta readers

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I think it's cool depending on context! Like, is this a situation in which this character would simply switch to another language? Also, why?

A Pharaoh Syndicate Investigations short story

William Armitage, son of librarian Henry Armitage, talks to his friend, private detective Josiah Smith, and learns disturbing information about Arkham's residents, and resident mob boss

Note: contains (my attempt at) period typical sexism and ignorance/non-malicious misgendering.

William Armitage walked up to the edge of the crowd, and stopped. The old house needed to be torn down years ago, before he left Arkham. Now anxious police fluttered in and out of its doors, mumbling to each other, looking over their shoulders. A journalist begged for answers, but the officers didn’t even meet his eyes. All around him, he felt it, that one name on the tip of everyone’s tongue, but no one dared speak it.

Hell of a thing to come across on your morning walk.

“It's bad,” his friend Smith said later that day. “The Syndicate doesn’t play around. Anyone who offends O’Tipp gets the same treatment.” The dark haired man shook his head. “You shouldn’t have come back.”

Smith was probably right. But there weren’t many other places to go. He’d lost his job, and Miskatonic offered him a position at his father’s side. How could he say no? What other alternatives did he have? His wife, his little twins, they needed what only he could provide. They’d all already lost so much in these darkening days… William was grateful to not have to walk the streets with sandwich board signs, like so many he saw in the bigger cities, and even here.

William leaned forward. The library offered the only sanctuary for this kind of conversation in the entire city. They sat here, in the quiet after hours, and no one would hear a word of it.

“So it was him? The Harbinger?”

Smith shook his head. “The Harbinger?” He snorted. “He’s just a story. This is pure human cruelty, and there’s nothing worse than it.” The man looked towards the floor. “O’Tipp is a monster of the finest kind. He rules this city - he owns it. Don’t think even the men in Washington can stop him now.”

Something softened, saddened, around Smith’s eyes. “In Chicago and New York, you know, they have limits. But O’Tipp - even the women aren’t safe from him.”

Cold horror gripped him. Straightening in his seat, William leaned forward. “What do you mean?”

“We had two girls working at the agency, before O’Tipp shut us down.” Smith didn’t seem to see Willain anymore. “Sisters, I always thought. They lived in the old Witch House, before O’Tipp bought that, too.” He sighed, long and aching. “The older one… Always a queer thing, she was. Couldn’t tell her apart from the men. Don’t think most of us even knew she wasn’t one. I don’t even remember, how I learned otherwise. Keller was a coward, didn’t have the guts to…”

He shook his head. William did too, for different reasons. A woman detective? In Arkham? Arkham had always been a strange place, but even this turn seemed unbelievable. And yet, damn, she sounded like his kind of woman. In his younger, more adventurous days, he wouldn’t have thought twice of making a wife of her, no matter his father’s disapproval.

“Keller gave her soft jobs," Smith said, "but she was… Well, she wanted bigger changes than are possible. She wanted to go after O’Tipp.”

“Dear god,” William mumbled. Something icy gripped him, his hands clenched.

“Keller said no, but she…” Smith shook his head. “Damned woman. None of us even knew until O’Tipp walked into the office, with that hideous smile of his.”

“Knew what?”

“The girls had been doing their own personal investigation into the Syndicate.”

William drew in a sharp breath.

“They’d been doing - I don’t even know, what they’d been doing, but they’d done worse than anger O’Tipp. They’d impressed him. He wanted to hire them as his own employees!”

“Is he mad?” William said, louder than he’d wanted. “What could he possibly want with them?”

“The young girl, Sadie Goode - she was our secretary,” Smith said, pain in his words. “Real good at her job, too. Sweetheart of a girl, in her flour sack dresses… The woman you see with O’Tipp in the papers - that’s not his wife. That’s her.”

He didn’t want to ask this, but something compelled him. “What about the older woman - what did you say her name was?”

“She called herself Lazarus Core,” Smith said. “I don’t know who she really was. When O’Tipp showed up, she fought back.” He paused, looked at the ground again. “O’Tipp had his men drag her into his car, and I never saw her again. Not on the street, not in the papers. Like she never existed at all.”

In the hours that passed, even after they went their separate ways, William couldn’t stop thinking about it. About her. That false name lingered in his mind, hypnotic, seductive. Lazarus Core. Lazarus Core.

Who were you, Lazarus Core? He wondered. Why did you turn yourself into a man? Why did you pursue O’Tipp all on your own? Are you still alive?

William almost hoped she wasn’t. If she were still alive, she was no doubt in some unspeakable position, something too horrific to linger on. And his father, he might have said she deserved it… but he might not. William had no plans of sharing this horrible story with him. The world was already cruel enough, he needn’t share painful gossip that would only hurt his father’s good soul.

But he could not, and would not, forget it himself.

If it's alright, I'd really like to hear more about January's 'Some Kinda Gender'. I understand it might be a spoiler/private so no pressure I'm just really interested

I think everything January is and/or isn't going to do in coming seasons is fun to find out as it happens. We've heard him do a lot of thinking about things he's done, but really only 1.5ish episodes thinking about what he's actually like as a person. And, more importantly, what he'd like to be like as a person. That is, if he can even get over the fact that he isn't one.

But I'm more than happy to talk generally about gender performance in s1 and generally. Buckle up, it's probably going to be a bit of a long one! I'm really into this, lol.

So before I really got to know any of the St Kilda cast I got to see most of them act at table reads. Spectacular experience, they're all incredible actors and fascinating people. But Rhys and I were never at a table read together, so the first time I properly met him he was just a regular human guy. As the script Naomi was working on currently stood he was going to play someone's boyfriend and I was like 'yeah, sure. This is a human man who could be a boyfriend.'

Then at like 2am the director came in and was like 'English accent! You're the villain now!' We'd been hanging out for a couple hours at that point. Rhys is vibrant, but a very gently spoken person. And I wasn't at all thinking 'Oh no, he can't do that' because like,,, that's his job. But I was very interested to see what he would do.

The first time I see him on set he has the whole villain get-up on and it is camp. Not in a camp-but-as-a-compliment way, thought it was cool af, but literally 2000s cartoon queer villain camp. Slicked hair and make-up that matched his suit. And I was like okay, damn, blinked and this dude got a whole new gender, good for him.

And then, to no one's surprise and to my absolute delight, he acted the fuck out of that campy outfit. Snippy and cocky and commanding. And obviously I knew, y'know, from being alive, that anyone performing 'camp villain' is doing a specific gender performance, but it was so cool to see someone I had got to know out of costume do that.

So I was thinking about this - and the other times I'd seen Rhys act in the interim - when I was doing final script edits/deciding what January/Ian would sound like. January was always going to have his voice actor's natural accent (as long as they weren't American, lol) and that was intentional.

The only actual vocal note I gave Rhys when coming up with an Ian voice was to go deeper, but I also told him that ep 8 was kind of Ian's campy villain monologue. He's just talking to hear the sound of his own voice at that point, he could have just killed Artemis and saved himself a lot of trouble.

Ian, as he tells you, has been pretending to be this January persona the whole time. And for most of episode 8 you have no reason not to believe him. His name is Ian. He can prove he was putting on a voice. He has a wife, not a spouse (yeah, I know a wife is a spouse, but he'd never say wife, would he... hmm...), a teenage daughter, not two young children. And everything January said was a lie.

BUT THEN! He gets upset, and his voice just... slips. That doesn't tend to happen when you're speaking in your natural accent.

Ian is just a persona too. He's this hyper-masculine husband, father, son, politician, bread-winner type turned old-timey camp-horror-villain and that's all a performance.

More importantly than being Ian, January isn't real. He isn't an anxious, fumbling, queer-in-a-librarian-kind-of-way radio host. But he also isn't this super-masc intimidating politician type; hence, when we actually meet Ian he's just,, kinda gay.

Everything is a performance for January and it must be exhausting. Someone just decided he was a human man one day, and sure he wants to be a human man, but he has no idea how to do that. He needs a break to figure out who he is. Unfortunately he instead did some murdering about it, so he probably won't get one.

So, while I've been dealing with my hand issues and fighting for unemployment, my dad and brother have had their house foreclosed on and are facing eviction. They have an active gofundme to try to raise some funds for relocation.

I'm doing my best to not be anxious about it, because there's nothing that I can do. I can't give them money because I'm not getting anything in myself, and the little bit of inheritance I have is being drained for bills and necessities. If I give them $$ out of that, then we could easily end up in the same situation, and what good would that do? I feel guilty for thinking this way, but the logical part of my brain keeps reminding me thats its so. Tbh, we'd probably end up in a worse situation given that we're both queer af.

We can't put them up because our apartment is a small 1 bd with barely enough room for us and our two cats as it is. I can't even offer to let them camp in the parking lot/yard because it's not mine to do so and it's shared with the next door businesses.

I honestly didn't know that things had gotten so bad, because neither of them tell me much of anything until the 11th hour. I didn't know about the power bill, or the truck issues until I read the gofundme. Even now my dad tells me the bare minimum. He says he's applied for various assistances so all I can really do is believe him and hope for the best. He still very much has the marine mentality of 'do things yourself'. At least he's finally started to use VA resources (He didn't feel like he qualified for them, having not been in active combat).

I feel like a bad kid/sibling because I can't help them, but I also have to remember that I can't set myself on fire to keep others warm. I told my bro I'd share the link, but I have a very small online presence. There isn't anything else I can do, and it sucks. All I can do is hope that they'll be ok.

Stewie sets off to solve all the problems of the world that he possibly can with nothing more than his mother’s sword and his loyal horse, Ser Decadence. Along the way he finds companions he never expected, along with a mystery that only seems to get more twisted and complicated the more clues they find.

Kieran, 26, he/him, a mysterious half-elven man with an even more mysterious quest: to help fae wherever he finds them. He seems to resent this, but does it all the same.

Evelyn, 20, he/they, Kieran’s half-elven younger brother who is set on killing Kieran for a crime he won’t specify and who claims he is prevented from doing this only by the fact that he cares about Stewie and Stewie cares about Kieran.

Ashe, around his mid to late 20s in mortal years, he/it, a kelpie who has attached himself to Kieran and Stewie for reasons unknown and has vowed to never leave their side.

Lottie, 23, she/her, a human bard, accomplished heartbreaker,  and lover of animals who grew up with Kieran and Evelyn and is constantly putting her own problems aside to mediate between the two conflicting brothers.

When construction on the historic manor at the heart of Lilywood goes awry, they are pulled into a supernatural mystery surrounding the house that spans across centuries, hoping that it will answer the burning question each of them have had their whole life: who am I?

My favorite queer books and historical fiction are actually the same. I love Sarah Waters, and my favorites are Tipping the Velvet and Paying Guests, but they’re all wonderful. My favorite queer book set in modern day is Summer Sons by Lee Mandelo.

I went through a few years where I read mysteries exclusively, from cozy series that involved someone being poisoned with the jam they were judging at the village fete to some really twisted serial killer books. My favorite cozy authors are Agatha Christie and M. C. Beaton, and honestly I can’t remember any authors of the other type 😄 I also love the genre that involves old friends having a reunion in a secluded cabin in the woods or lodge in the mountains, those are irresistible. Also domestic thrillers, which I call lady in trouble books. Sometimes they make me anxious and Jim is like “Is a book character having difficulties?”

Stonybrook Community College - TWST

Just some worldbuilding stuff and. uh even more OCs. I've got my other ones here and here.

Stonybrook is a picturesque part of the Sunshine Lands, known for it's gentle rolling hills, babbling brooks, and shockingly clear night skies. Because of how clear the night skies are, the belief of wishing upon a star was an integral part of the community. Nowadays, light pollution makes it difficult, but the North star is still always visible when there are no clouds around, at least in the suburbs of the city.

Anyways, Stonybrook Community College is meant to be an opportunity for locals to attend post-secondary schooling without travelling as far or paying as much as they may have had to in order to attend other schools. (Or did not receive an invitation to NRC/RSA/NBC)

Total nerd, genius IQ but also kind of gullible

Nobody at the school knows they're half-brothers except Cody's dad

Wheel-chair user + amputee - Idia helps him develop blueprints to make a 3D printed prosthetic leg as well as some funds to make sure he can customize it how he wants

He is baby, ok, please be nice to him

1/4 fae and proud, his grandpa is based on an actual T. Rex (yes I think that the really old fae should be based on dinosaurs so that the Draconias can be the THE Draconias, like they're the only ones based on a dragon, but that's an HC)

He get's anxious easily, his sweater is absolutely his comfort item

He is constantly inviting friends to his place and his mom is the sweetest person alive

He wants to get into engineering soo bad
