Bookshelf tour
Since I was asked for one and I just reorganized my shelves here is a photo tour of my shelves. There's three main chategories in my bookshelves: non-fiction (which is divided in two sections, because of space reasons), graphic novels, and fiction books. Believe it or not while reorganizing everything I managed to keep a bit of empty space at the bottom of the shelves. I am pretty happy with how the shelves turned out this time, there's a couple of sections that are totally random because I couldn't find a specific place for those books (yet), but I am pretty used to that as it happens almost everytime. Aside from this I like the way I managed to organize everything else.
I hope this version of a bookshelf tour is clear enough, I didn't write stuff for every single thing you can see in the pictures, because there wasn't enough space to do so. So if you have questions or anything my inbox is open as always.
I should also mention that although this is the finished result I will take some books out of their place in order to put them on the tbr shelf in my bedroom, I might post a picture of that shelf one of these days!

I did a little reorganization of some of the bookshelves today. There are a couple of gaps where I’ve taken books out to reread or have them on the little shelf stands. 😊

Unhinged ways to organise your books
alphabetically by the first letter of each book (thank you good omens)
by number of chapters
by number of pages if you wanna be specific
by number of words if you wanna be even MORE specific
Alphabetically by the first character introduced
By the birth/death date of the author (chronologically, of course)
Chronologically by publishing date
By the star rankings of their movie adaptations
By the age of the author at the point of publication
Feel free to add on :)

I got the beautiful statue of Eowyn for my birthday. She is in her mourning dress and I love all the little details. I am also happy that she fits on the shelf next to her brother. Both are from weta, Eomer is a bit older and from the weta sideshow collectibles.

The premise of this book is ridiculous: cocktails are magic and bartenders are a secret society who use them to fight demons. But, it's self aware about how ridiculous that is, and it combines it with gentle satire of things like tech startup bro culture and the horror that is your early 20s, and it mostly works. In a pinch, you could use it as a basic mixologist recipe book, because, while the background info on the cocktails provided between chapters is part of the story, the actual recipes are also provided there and presumably would work just fine. Also, it is set in Chicago and clearly written by a Chicagoan which, as someone who has spent a lot of time in Chicago, is a delight.
Final rating: 3.5/5

Experimenting with a bit of a different room set up. I moved the small bookshelves to new spots, and brought in my plant shelf. We’ll see how I end up liking it!
