『エルヴィス／Elvis』

“その時、腰が動いた”。メンフィスからラスベガスまで悪夢と背中合わせのスターダムを貪り、貪られ、燃え尽きるまでの英雄暗黒神話。パーカー大佐を語り手に大胆に解釈した、魔術（ブードゥー？）的ジェットコースター映画。20世紀アメリカ史、ポップ音楽史、芸能史、信仰、亡霊…の複数レイヤーはぴったりくっ付いたまま、どれも切り離せない。エルヴィスもその一つ。でもこんだけアメリカの光と影を象徴するポップアイコンは、エルヴィスかマリリン・モンローくらいだろうな。（奇しくもその２人の映画が同じ年に…）

『スペンサー ダイアナの決意／Spencer』

『ジャッキー』に続き、パブロ・ララインの20世紀実録風「亡霊映画」。ジョニー・グリーンウッドの音楽、まるで棺を運ぶように進む車列、そこにあるキジの屍、そして「何かが見ている」気配を感じる亡霊視点のカメラが過剰にオカルトホラー。ダイアナは魂を失くした着せ替え人形と化し、二つの屋敷の間に放置された案山子だ。けど、ララインは亡霊を殺しはしない。ただ穏やかに安らぎを与えるのだった。

『ミセス・ハリス、パリへ行く／Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris』

憧れは力なり。キラキラ輝くドレスと、それに心奪われる瞬間のドリー・ズーム！ミセス・ハリスの赤い頬、ちょこまかした仕草、時に押しが強い姿勢、旅行鞄で佇む姿はまるでパディントン。でも実は対価についての話であり、「箱とその中身」の話で、ある意味左岸派映画。贅沢は敵じゃない！レスリー・マンヴィルとイザベル・ユペールの共演こそ、ほんと贅沢でした。

『NOPE／ノープ』

思った以上にスローバーン。そして思った以上に『ヴァスト・オブ・ナイト』と対になる。何せ、方や「I see you」、方や「I hear you」だもの。アレはアダムスキー型というより、下から見上げたカウボーイハットみたいだった。

『マイ・ニューヨーク・ダイアリー』

作家になるにはNYだ！と、まずは憧れの力ありき。でも書く以前に読んでばかりの読書映画。ひたすらインプットの日々、消化しきれないほどの情報や知識や刺激的体験が次々と。羨ましいやらわかりみ深いやら。「フラニーとゾーイー」を久々に読み直したくなった。

サメに食われたいのにサメはなし。NYのビーチを転々としながら、ひたすらその時を待つ女の脳内モノローグが延々と続く。まるで「ゴドーを待ちながら」か、ひとりマンブルコアか。正に人を食ったようなオチと、Toby Goodshankのエンディング曲がダメ押しする、デッドパンでナンセンスな「探索的狡噛」。それでもれっきとしたビーチ映画でサメ映画（反ジョーズ映画）。あの声とリズムが妙に心地良かった。

『バスタブとブロードウェイ: もうひとつのミュージカル世界／Bathtubs Over Broadway』　https://video.unext.jp/title/SID0067147

企業ミュージカル・レコード沼へようこそ。それは知られざるミュージカルの宝庫、もう一つのショウビズ世界。名作や名曲があり、巨匠もスターもいた。深い、深いぞこの沼は…！愛と情熱、同志との出会い、真剣で貪欲な探究心が思わぬ広がりを見せていくのにワクワクしかないドキュメンタリー。マニアの真っすぐで曇りのない愛が起こす奇跡に清々しく心洗われた。

『キャリー』meets『ミザリー』を更にメンタル・スプラッターに振り切った感じで、ローズ・グラス監督デビュウ作は完成���高いと思う。陰気に寂れたコニーアイランド、ワンルームのアパート、主演モーフィッド･クラークが良い。

『アポロ10号 1/2: 宇宙時代のアドベンチャー』　https://www.netflix.com/title/81161042

ロトスコープ・アニメで事細かに再現したスペースエイジの子供時代。ギプスしてる子が必ずいたとかイタズラ電話とかあったあった、TVアンテナに巻いたアルミホイル細かすぎ！でも記憶とは既にファンタジー。同じ69年の『ベルファスト』と通じると思った。ベトナム戦争とアイルランド紛争、少年の頭の中で混じり合う虚実、モノクロやアニメーションとしてパッケージ化した少年時代…けど、こちらには帰る家があって安心して眠れる。その楽観性が尊い。

『幸せへのまわり道』

（Amazonプライム、 U-NEXTほか）

トム・ハンクスはご本人完コピ以上に、優しく細めた目の奥にぞっとさせるブラックホールを演じているから恐るべし。殆ど瞬きしないし笑顔なのに笑ってない、『コラライン』のボタンの目みたいな…つい覗き込んでしまうようなその目に映る自分を見つめざるを得ない。ロジャースさんのシーンは全部、心がツーンとする。君たちは僕であり、君にできたなら僕にもできる。大変だけどやらなくちゃ…。ご本人の歌声が流れる中、優しさの王国ミニチュアセットを組み立てる男たちの手！

◆他にも良かった

『アネット』

緑のローブで殆どメルド（ドニ・ラヴァン）と化してるが、アダム・ドライヴァーはマイクとも人形ともプロレスができる、ほんと良いプロレスラーだな！先にサントラ聴いてたのもあって、スパークスのナンバーが頭から離れない。

『レット・ゼム・オール・トーク』

事件のないミステリー。ロードのないロードムービー（客船だから）。けど作家と探偵と死体はいる。そこがとても面白い。いわば聞き込みをす���探偵役、ごく自然と年上に懐き気を許させるルーカス・ヘッジスのリアクションが絶妙。ソダーバーグは今まで特にピンとこなかったけれど、これはかなり好みで楽しかった。

『さよなら、私のロンリー』　https://www.netflix.com/title/81239497

エヴァン・レイチェル・ウッドの長くて重たそうな髪とダボダボな古ジャージ姿、動物的で芸術的な身のこなし、そして野太い声のインパクトたるや。生まれたてでおっぱい目指して匍匐前進する場面はちょっと感動しちゃう。痛くて甘くて苦くて儚くて曖昧で奇妙な、説明しにくい感覚をユーモラスに掬い取ってみせるミランダ・ジュライ。『ニューヨーカー誌の世界』にある短編小説の映画化『ロイ・スパイヴィ』も、ほろ苦く甘い後味が好き。

『ユダ＆ブラック・メシア 裏切りの代償』　https://www.netflix.com/title/81341644

銀貨30枚より銃よりも強いのは、権力のバッヂ（今だからこそ尚更うんざりする話だ）。言葉と目力で深く静かにカリスマ性を放つダニエル・カルーヤと、身軽な身体で飄々とリアクションするラキース・スタンフィールドがとても良い。特に「何なんだよもう！」って巻き込まれて焦って悪足掻きするラキースは毎度最高、そのジレンマは滑稽なほど哀しい。監督シャカ・キングの演出が非常にソリッド。

黒髪長身キャサリン・ウォーターストンと赤毛ヴァネッサ・カービー、これ時代が違えば『テルマ＆ルイーズ』だ。だから悲劇だけど希望でもある。展開とは裏腹に、雪に覆われ荒涼とした冬景色から夏を迎え、来るべき世界へと「台帳には記録されない」女たちの地図。

Camilla is a talented pianist, having been classically trained since she was four. Sexually, she's indiscriminate as long as you can give her what she wants. She frequented underground BDSM clubs in college but could never quite find the perfect partner(s). Having performed multiple dissections and other gory tasks during her studies, there isn't much that grosses Camilla out. She has little regard for those she doesn't wish to serve and is motivated by sexual gratification. She's a mediocre chef but would gladly sharpen her skills if her masters required it of her. I tell you Batgordan never even entered my head until the RPattz movie. did you see those two? they were BUDDIES. They were buddies, goddamnit. They had each other’s backs every minute of that thing. They never doubted the other once. They were FRIENDS. They were PARTNERS. When they did something stupid, they did it TOGETHER AS A TEAM. Batman was a whole freak showing up to crimes in a masked, armored costume with a cape, but Jim was the freak who let such a guy onto closed crime scenes and insisted he was good, and my god, I should rewatch it this week
