You were sitting at the counter drinking the large mug of beer in your hand and enjoying the silence in the living room. Everyone was already asleep but you were still there, waiting for Yami who would probably be returning from the mission he had been called on a few days ago.

You heard the front door being kicked and you jumped slightly from the bench at the sudden loud noise. You looked back and saw Yami arriving at the HQ, taking a drag on his cigarette, his black hair falling over his face with some blood dripping from his forehead and small wounds on his body. Just like his clothes were dirty and torn. You weren't very surprised to see him in that condition because it wasn't the first time he arrived like that and he didn't show signs of caring about himself either.

He approached you slowly and you looked him up and down, he took a drag and blew the smoke to the side, taking the beer mug from your hand.

"Thank you!" He winked at you before drinking it, you shook your head, looking at him

He drank it in one go and filled it up again, drinking the beer as if it were water. Something he used to do...

"You look thirsty," You said, seeing how he was drinking. "Be careful not to get drunk, drinking like that."

"Drunk with just two of them? Babe, you don't know me." He chuckled

"Yeah, sure, a big guy like you wouldn't be defeated with just that." You smiled at him. "The mission was long, I see." You passed your hand over his forehead, wiping off the blood and washing your hand afterwards

"Nothing I couldn't solve."

"If you walked out of there like that, I don't think others were any better off."

"My girl are the one who deserves credit for defeating them all."

"Your girl?" You raised an eyebrow at him. "What the hell are you saying?" You approached him, he saw a certain jealousy in your eyes and smiled

"I was just talking about my sword, there's no need to be jealous." He winked at you, with a teasing expression

"Oh! Your sword, I see..." You looked away

"Did you think it was someone else? Nah, only you, pretty face." He poked your nose and gave a smirk

"I hope so, otherwise, I'll take your girl from the sheath and cut your boy off..." You smiled after the threat and he felt a chill

"Jeeez! Retract your claws, kitten, your man is shaking here."Yami laughed and drank some more

"Then, be careful."

"Don't be like that with me, baby, I just got back from a mission and look, I missed hugging you so much." He put the mug aside and hugged you from behind, wrapping his strong arms around you and kissing your neck

"Damn Yami! You smell like sweat and blood." You said, letting go of his hug, walking away from him and he narrowed his eyes in your direction

"Y/n, your man is heartbroken here because of this coldness." He said and you smiled at him because of what he had just said

"Come on, don't be sad, my big boy," You stretched out your arm to caress his black hair. "Go bath to see if you can fix your heart." You winked at him and he smiled hugging you tightly."Yami! My ribs..." You said, almost breathlessly

"Let's see if the hot bath water can fix my heart then..." He kissed the top of your head and gave you a loud smack on your ass which made you slap his arm in response, massaging the sore skin where he had left a future mark

"You brute!" You said and he laughed heading towards the bathroom

The captain sat in the bathtub with hot water, letting the heat relax the tension in his muscles, which were still sore. He closed his eyes and took a long sigh, the captain was so relaxed that he swore to kill anyone who bothered him at that moment.

What he didn't expect was for you to enter the bathroom right after he swore that.

"Am I disturbing something?" You asked, approaching him and sitting on the edge of the bathtub, seeing his eyes opening and looking into yours

"I had just sworn I would kill anyone who bothered me now..." He grumbled

"Well, in that case I'm going to get out of here. I don't want to die." You giggled, getting up but he held your arm, stopping you

"Sit down...I didn't send you away."He ordered

"If you say so, then I'll stay." You sat back down where you were

You saw a trickle of blood running down his face again on the side where he had the wound and decided to take it. You lifted his hair on that side and ran your other hand through the water to remove the dirt and clean the blood on his face, he closed his eyes as he let you take care of him. You were the only person he let take care of him like that. He couldn't deny that he loved it when your hands stroked his hair or his cheeks.

"I would like to know where you have been and who you fought with to end up causing these wounds." You said, washing the wounds on his body

"Just another day at work..."He replied

"I see so..." You rinsed the marks whose blood had already stopped

"And you? You look like you had a rough day too," He said, running his fingers over a scratch you had on your arm and you looked at where his fingers were. "Who was the bastard that did this to you?"

"Don't worry, it was just another day at work too." You smiled, giving him the same answer and he looked from the wound to you with a slight look of someone who didn't like what he saw

"I'm going to break the neck of the idiot who did this."He threatened

"That won't be necessary, I've already do that." You winked and he changed his expression to a smile

"You did good, girl."

"I learned it from my captain. He's can be a tough and musclehead guy sometimes...but I don't remember him telling me to run away from the battlefield."

"Exactly..." He agreed, listening to your words and deciding to add a joke in the middle of the conversation, as always. "Unless you have to take a big shit." He laughed and you splashed water on your face from him

"Disgusting!"

"What's the problem, honey? Don't you do that too?" He teased

"Yami, either you change the subject or I leave." You threatened but he held your hands and pulled you into the bathtub with him, wetting all the clothes you were wearing. He laughed and you narrowed your eyes at him."Yami, I'm going to kill you for this!"You threatened him again

"I'm just kidding! Don't need pout at me."

"I'm not pouting at you!"

"Yes, you are, look at you!" He poked your nose and you hit his hand. "I don't know if you had already taken a shower before but now you're taking another one with me. You don't want to leave your captain here alone, do you?" He placed his hands on your waist and gave a tender smile and you ran your hands over his face, smiling back

"Did my captain pull me into the bath because he didn't want to be alone or did he do it just to see me take off my clothes later?" You asked, teasing him and he chuckled

"Well, I hadn't thought about it but now that you said it, I think I'll drag you into the bathtub with me more often." He pondered and you slapped his chest

"I'll make sure to hide myself before you take a shower."

"It won't work, have you forgotten that I can feel Ki?" He raised an eyebrow

"Man, I hate you..." You said, with a giggle and he pulled you into a short kiss

"No, you don't. I can read your eyes and they tell me this, just as your body is saying it too," He said, running his hands over your body and looking into your eyes

"Don't tell me you're using your ki ability to read it?"

"No, you're the one showing your feelings. It's your problem, dear." He teased and you looked away, blushing a little.

"Fine, I admit it. I love you." You confessed, looking at him

"My little heart is melting with your words."He smiled

"I wonder how a big guy like you can carry such a fragile heart like yours, at least is what you say..."

"Well, my big and strong body works like an armor to protect this little one from cold attacks and storms of anger, sent by idiot Y/n but sometimes, my chest it's not strong enough and they end up destroying my heart." He joked and you laughed." But she also sends me days of light and a pleasant warmth that warms my precious heart." He passed a hand around your neck, with his thumb caressing your cheek and looking into your eyes once again. "She's crazy and dangerous, but it's mine."

"Wow! That was beautiful, I think now you've melted my heart too." You said and he laughed

"Now you know how I feel."

You stayed there for a moment laughing at each other's jokes and making the most of that time together, since recent missions were stealing a lot of time like that.

"Well, the water is getting cold, I think I better go dry myself and change my clothes too, since a certain big guy pulled me into the bathtub with him..." You joked

"I already explained myself about that." He sighed

"And I know what you intended by that." You moved away from the crook of his neck and gave him a peck, which made him look seriously at you. "What?"You frowned

"That wasn't a kiss."

"Oh, really?! So what was it then?"

"You do better than that." He crossed his arms as if he was sulking at you for that

"Awww, don't make that pout at me, you're already big enough to make that crying face." You teased, poking his cheek. "I'll do better then..." You leaned forward, kissing him just like the way he liked

His hands returned to your waist as you kissed him, he seemed much more sated now that you had done so.

"Better?" You said, moving away from his lips

"Babe... That kiss made the things a little hard down here, you know?" He smirked, pointing down and you felt a blush burn your cheeks when you realized what he meant

"You asked, it's your problem." You whispered and got out of the bathtub

He shook his head and walked out right after you.

"Aren't you even going to give me the pleasure of seeing you change your clothes?" He asked, making you stop on your way to the bathroom door and look back at the tall, well-builed figure in front of you, from top to bottom

"Nah, you've seen that countless times. I don't want you to get sick of it."

"Sick of seeing you naked? Never." He teased and you rolled your eyes before leaving and he chuckled

He came out of the bathroom shortly after and saw you lying on the bed, facing away from him and he went to lie down next to you, hugging you from behind and kissing your nape, sending a slight shiver down your spine.

"Good night, idiot." He whispered

"It's a princess for you." You said, lightly elbowing him in the chest and he smiled

"Well, good night then...idiot princess"He joked and you turned to face him

"Yami Sukehiro, another joke like that and I'll put you to sleep on the couch, go it?"

"Fine, I'm going to shut up now and sleep." He kissed your forehead, pressing you against his chest and getting ready to sleep. "Good night, princess."

"That sounds better." You smiled
