Right now I'm just trying to study atleast some topic everyday cause attending all lectures, clinics and pracs itself is soo damn tiring .

Today's pharmac lecture was on anti epileptic drugs, then for surgery clinics we saw a hernioplasty procedure , it was more interesting because I had read about this topic sooo I could understand atleast something! The we had patho , I zoned put after about 60% of the lecture :')

Then we had psm prac...it was okay.

Then I came home and read antiepileptic drugs and solved past year questions from the covered topics .

S-1 Ep-2: a new chance?

hello people of sillytown :p,

so, yesterday i wasted :<

no matter how much planning i failed to stick to my to-do only did maths for 2 hrs which is ok but there are other subjects to attend to too..

but todays a new day a new chance and i wont let it go, navratri have started so i will be learning garba and gujrati too to stay connected to my roots and idk i feel like this is life yk like we as humans are meant to dance, sing, write, speak well whatever we wanna do yk sometimes i think i tend to forget that this life is mine, i have a free will and i dont want my life to be average i want my life to be MINE , i want to be weird, ugly , obsecure and mostly ME. To do that first step will be that engineering college cuz cmon it would be so AWESOME-SAUCE to get into that collegee ^_^

for it I decided rather than hyperfixating on the main exam i will focus on learning not to pass exam but to learnnn it would be so cool yk to know how shits work!!

Hello everyone! I planned to upload yesterday but it was quite a long day so I didn't really have the time or energy. I have officially moved in with my boyfriend!! We have a lot of unpacking and re-organising to do, but his old roommates hired a professional cleaner before leaving and the team didn't leave until almost 11pm, so we didn't have time to start last night. That's alright though! We have the next two nights and the weekend to sort everything out, and I'm just so happy with how spotless the flat is. It was definitely worth the money.

I spent most of the day in the lab again which was honestly great. I feel like my mood has stabilised so much since I've been able to start experiments again, and over the next the few weeks I'm only going to do more and more. I also finished my presentation for our weekly lab meeting, and I'm just hoping I am able to talk about my data coherently without crumbling every time someone asks me a question. I am going in with confidence, but we shall see. In the little time I had left before therapy I worked on another of those study cards I'm making for myself, and while this one is taking a lot more time to gather the information and format it well I think I can easily make my goal of creating 5 cards this week. They shall be going up above my new desk on the weekend.

⚡️ thesis progress

I am continuing to read the fun fire ecology book; I have one last chapter about prescribed burns to look through.

My professor gave me really great feedback about my draft introduction! I'm hoping to incorporate her notes and write some more over the next week when school is still pretty lightweight, and hopefully I can get her an updated draft by next Friday (or Thursday morning when we are next meeting, but that is a stretch goal). I'm at about 11 pages and think it'll get up to...maybe 13? For the intro? Maybe a bit more? We'll see where I'm at next week.

🌈 miscellaneous

Yesterday we finished our tutoring training and I did some logistical tasks (transferring course assignments to my calendar, reviewing my work schedule, and emailing and such) but did not feel like posting because I was feeling anxious about the semester. But that is okay :)

I also had a brief orientation today for the mentoring program I'll be doing this semester but it was not noteworthy, it simply happened. All the other mentors seem friendly at least.

Bad, worse, library shift📚

It was hell in here. My tutor is sick and asked me to spontaneously cover todays shift and let me tell you- it was the worst shift I’ve ever had. I had 4 classes come in at the same time asking to swap their old books for new ones. For some reason unknown to god one entire class returned their teachers books instead of their own. That made taking the books out of the system even harder than it is- the amount of students storming the library was entirely unhelpful. At some point there were so many returned books that I had to toss them onto the ground because I had no space left in between my desk and the kids…4 stacks of books for teachers, 6 teachers who came in in total. The packages laying around? I didn’t get to open a single one…that leaves inventory for another day- at least I managed to clean up.

Today India commemorates it's 78th Independence day!

I went down for the flag hoisting (without my phone, so no photos 🥺) so got up early and took a bath at like 6:30 a.m.

I have physics tomorrow! (It's my favourite subject) And I'm sooo excited to give the exam! I'm done studying school stuff so I'm doing like an integrated school-cum-olympiad curriculum study! How do my notes look???

My chemistry paper was pathetic 😭😭

I'm losing like 4 - 5 marks 💀

Time is passing by very quickly, the first week of June is about to end .

I attended all my lectures today, clinics and practicals. It is very tempting to just not attend a lecture and relax, but no.

Came home and completed my microbiology journal, studied types of insulin , read some topics from Cardiovascular System for clinics and revised today's pharmacology lec topic.

Got good sleep too !

S-1 Ep-1: Who and why

Good morning people of silly town I am Ashi, an almost 18 yr old. I am starting this blog we can say to speedrun life :3 so like a bit bout me i wanted to persue art but then parents got me into engineering so i am preparing for getting into a reputed engineering college and somehow this all ended up in me taking a gap year to prepare for it :D

For context the exam is in like jan AAAAAA so I have to lock in and like i really wanna pass the exam so i will be updating this everydayyyyy

I hope everyone's week has started off on the right foot! Here the temperatures are starting to drop, which I could not be happier about. Please, PLEASE give me autumn already. It is all I need to be fulfilled.

I spent my weekend with friends, first in an escape room and then in a pub, and then with my boyfriend, hunting for cute things to decorate our apartment with. I got the cutest mushroom coasters... I am so excited to use them. Unfortunately I have been left completely exhausted and have barely any energy to work, which isn't great, so to my despair I've had to switch back to drinking monster on the daily. I know it's not the best, but I suspect that this tiredness is coming from a genuine health issue so I'm going to be reaching out to my doctor to try and get some tests done. For now I am doing a lot of reading to solve a problem my supervisor has posed us, and spending a bunch of time in the lab as well. Just trying to keep my spirits up as much as I can!

The books and article I requested last week came in finallyyyyy I'm really excited to go through them.

I got through a couple chapters of a fire ecology book at the library this evening and it's SO COOL and going to be really helpful!! I'll post some fun facts after this.

FINALLY got a haircut I feel SO much better got a "90s dreamboy style" as my hairstylist called it hehe

Got coffee with a friend to catch up :) and we are in agreement about still trying to gymbro together during the semester, but waiting a couple weeks to see how our respective schedules end up shaking out

Confirmed a weekend hangout with another friend who I haven't seen for a bit! I'm very excited.

I've decided I want to try and visit a lot of the local museums this semester when I have time and am looking forward to that.

Goals (no particular order) 1. To finish my thesis without a massive sprint at the end; I want to take enough time to where I am genuinely satisfied with not only the end product, but how I got there. 2. Learn at least three new songs on bass. 3. Build a good relationship with my mentee cohort <3 4. Outline the new scientific writing workshops for the spring semester. 5. Finish data analysis by the end of September, ideally by the middle of September. This is a time management thing.
