I don't know who needs to hear this but YOU WILL MAKE MISTAKES IN YOUR PAGANISM AND WITCHCRAFT. We all do, to whatever degrees. Especially at younger ages or newer in our practice!
You will treat deities like Pokémon cards, or appropriate native practices, or lie about signs, or argue over things you are deeply incorrect on, or think every deity is calling out to you, or that you are personally gifted beyond anyone else, or think your dreams are all past lives, or think you can transport back in time, or ffs that youre carrying a gods child, or even beleive you have telekenisis.
You are not broken or incapable, you are learning and cringe and confused (and often a child!) Thats being human. Let go of your mistakes, delete those posts, don't grip on and defend them and kick and claw. You can let it go. Please do.

I think i angered 2 goddesses by accident,
i asked aphrodite if she would be angry if i at the chocolate i gave her months ago cus i didnt want to waste it but also i felt like u was disrespecting her and she said yes but i asked if she would firgive me if i got her more soon and she said yes
(i think her atleast ut was through pendulum and tarot twice)
but i decided to apologise through essential oil which percephone has the casing of and so when i was getting out the oils i dropped the entire thing possubly upsetting persephobe so i gave persphone some begot essentual oil and aphrodite rose and rosemary oil and i literally got on my knees infront of them and bowed so hard.
i feel so fucking bad right now esspecially right after i did 2 offerings for athene and i dont even know if she accepted it but i think she did which i hope is good

Rant
One thing I've struggled with in regards to becoming pagan after being raised catholic is not having a holy script. Like there seems to be no equivalent of the bible and thats hard to wrap my head around. For me growing up, the bible was like a book of mythology and set rules to follow and so im just so used to the notion of having something 100% set in stone but now im like "what do i do?" "Would this make my gods angry?" Etc etc.
Also like, i was raised with the catholic god, and i dont think anyone who knows anything about Christianity needs me to explain what that means and also catholics are rarely taught to think for themselves how tf am i supposed to know what im doing?

Tell one random thing about yourself then go on anon and asks your 5 most favorite moots this!
I am currently looking into Paganism although almost everyone on my page probably already knows that rn. 💀 its been very fun so far, never knew there was a word for my beliefs.
Currently I am reading Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler. And then maybe I’ll do research into certain deities, such as Lady Hecate and Lady Aphrodite. Hecate is actually the reason I was drawn to Paganism at all.

Basic Ritual Template || The Triune Path
Ritual casting is personal and practice-specific, but there are basic formats which many pagan rituals take. Specifically with opening a circle or ritual space, there are steps which most will take.
This template covers these possibilities in a basic script which can be adapted and altered as the individual practitioner chooses, and works for both group and solo rituals (just change out the pronouns and such).
No actions are described, to allow for freedom of individual expression -- this is merely a basic script as a jumping-off point for any looking to include the Path format in their ritual practices.

We gather today / I stand today in reverence and peace, and call upon the universal powers to guide and protect us / me.
≻─────────────────── ⋆✩⋆ ──────────────────≺
The Corners
We call to the Eastern Wind to greet us with its breath, which carries all the gentle gifts of spring. Hail and welcome.
We call to the Southern Fire to protect us with its warmth and all the power of summer. Hail and welcome.
We call to the Western Waters to gift us with its patience and all the bountiful blessings of autumn. Hail and welcome.
We call to the Northern Earth to gift us with its patience and blanket us in the resiliant darkness of the winter. Hail and welcome.
≻─────────────────── ⋆✩⋆ ──────────────────≺
We call the corners of the vessel we reside upon, but also to the threefold Gods residing over us.
The Archetypes
We welcome the Sky and Stars, the mother who provides us with fierce love and careful warmth. Grant us Your wisdom and share in our Love. Hail and welcome.
We welcome the Sea, the father of secrets who keeps all knowledge. Grant us Your patience and share in our discoveries. Hail and welcome.
We welcome the Middle-Air, the space between mystery and mastery who guides us to divinity. Grant us Your balance and share in our philosophy. Hail and welcome.
Finally, we welcome the Self. We who carry each corner of Earth to anchor us here, and a spirit to tie us to the divide. We grant each other our minds and share in our spirit. Hail and welcome.
[SOLO ALTERNATIVE]
Finally, I welcome the Self. I carry each corner of Earth to anchor me here, and a spirit to tie me to the divine. I know my own mind and trust in my spirit. Hail and welcome.
≻─────────────────── ⋆✩⋆ ──────────────────≺
Closing the Ritual
To the Sky who guards our bodies, we thank you. Hail and farewell.
To the Sea who guards our minds, we thank you. Hail and farewell.
To the Middle-Air who guards our souls, we thank you. Hail and farewell.
To all else under our command: the Self and the corners of our current home of Earth. we thank you. Hail and farewell.
We close this circle in love and gratitude as above, so below, and in all life in-between.

If you don't understand something about paganism or they odd you worship, it's ok to seek that information in a more experienced follower.
If you don't understand something about witchcraft, it's ok to ask for help from more experienced witches.
It can be difficult to work up the courage to ask, but it will be ok!
There are no stupid questions.

Hi there, I'm trying to get into working with Loki. Aside from a shit ton of books that I have to yet read (been collecting titles and it's overwhelming) I don't even know what it means when people say "working with" the god they follow or worship.
What does it mean when someone says their god spoke to them or did this or that? My mind tries to rationalise things and I keep thinking people just imagine a scene or a scenario where the god in question is having a conversation with them. Meaning, I keep thinking people are creating said interaction themselves in their minds. I understand that may not the case, but it's getting in the way of me understanding how to even start.
Got any advice on how to understand better so I could finally start reading the books I'm supposed to read? (For some reason I need initial understanding before I dive into things)
Sorry for taking your time.
Hey, Nonny!
This is a pretty difficult topic to explain, but I will do my best! I appreciate the ask, and you are not bothering me or taking up my time. 💚
So, we'll start with your first question: what does it mean when people say they're working with a god? This can mean a variety of things, really, and is definitely situational, but the most basic definition of this phrase basically comes down to the person and the god working together to improve something in the person's life. Sometimes people have a formal agreement with a god to help them with a specific thing, but I'd say, most times, there isn't a formal agreement, and the god is helping them achieve something. Some people also use this phrase to mean they're worshipping a god, but that's not the correct usage of the phrase. Hopefully, this makes sense!
Second question: what does it mean when someone says their god spoke to them or did this or that? This is VERY situational and delves into the private practice of that person. For some people, having a conversation with a god mostly just looks like doing a tarot or pendulum reading with the god. However, for others, they can have conversations with gods through meditation or astral travel, going to meet the God "in-person", in a sense. Other people are also gifted with what's called "clairaudience", so they quite literally are speaking with their gods. Conversations with gods look different for everyone!
As for feeling like people are making this up in their heads, I think the best thing to tell yourself is that you cannot judge the validity of another's experience because you aren't the one experiencing it. How these people converse with their gods hardly matters if it's not hurting anyone and is improving their lives. I would suggest doing some inner work to understand why this bothers you so much. Are you afraid it will invalidate your experiences? Do you think it seems everyone who follows the old gods as "making this up"? When was the first time you felt this way about a topic? These are some good starter questions. I simply can't take these worries from you, and this is very much something you will need to work through on your own. It sounds to me like you're struggling with a lot of doubt regarding this path of spirituality. My honest advice is to just dive into it and see how it suits you. If you like it, great! If not, that's ok! c:
I think the biggest thing to remember here is that you don't know how someone is experiencing something. You're just not going to be able to tell. And that's ok. Within life, there are things we can't understand or won't ever truly know, and although that can be difficult to accept, it's something we must all come to terms with. This is one of those things that you can't understand from the other person's perspective. My advice is just to be gentle with others, treating them as you'd like to be treated. Honestly, this is a really delicate and difficult topic to explain to someone, so I hope it came across correctly and doesn't start any discourse with anyone. I meant everything as kindly and sincerely as I could, so I genuinely hope you're able to take away what you needed to from this. Hopefully, I explained things well.
Thank you for the ask! I hope you have a great day! ☺️💚

If anyone would like to add on to this, please do! I hope we can explain things to Anon here!

a concerning amount of witchblr will be like "um actually new years was stolen by europeans from the ancient god scroobus mcdoobus" and then you actually try to research scroobus mcdoobus and it turns out he was invented in the 1940s by a conspiracy theorist who powdered every meal with ketamine and thinks that queer people are reincarnated fish

Have we become so desensitized to this scene, or have we lost our value entirely?
Today, I went out to secure some food for my family. I don't want to talk about the high prices or the severe shortage of food supplies.
But what truly breaks my heart is the bombing of civilians in a school in the Nuseirat area, where many martyrs fell, most of them children and women. How long will this situation continue?
How long will we keep waiting? We need a radical solution. We are running out of strength to endure this.

tired of people treating deities like little trading cards or pets. I can't beleive I have to say this but gods are not 'high maintenance' or 'uwu soft bean' and will not smite you if you don't give them an offering.
Do not just call on deities help at random like pokemon cards, truly understand and respect them. They do not exist to serve you. Understand that you are humbly asking a great being for help with respect and honor, not demanding it or simply throwing their name out because you saw it on social media.
And for the gods' sake, fact check things you hear about them. Even well meaning and reliable sources can get things wrong. Cross reference, and if something sounds off, it likely is.
