the important question: did fury use the same speech when recruiting everyone to the avengers so kamala was able to find a copy of it? or did she pester him about meeting the avengers until he directly quoted himself meeting iron man for the first time?

So Fury was there in 1995, when Carol got the Tesseract back to SHIELD. He knew that his new pet, Goose, had swallowed (into a Flerken pocket dimension, which makes a whole nother brain knot) a doorway to the other end of space. He knew this because the cube had been in the possession of Scroll refugees, who'd hoped that with it, Mar Vell could make a portal to said other end of space.
Fury, whose secrets have secrets because he knows all the things, who agreed to make weapons with the damn thing SHIELD was lucky to have found "before" Hydra, didn't consider that this toy was a doorway. It took an explanation from an assassin (Barton) for Nick to underhand that said door could potentially be opened (or even just tampered with) from both sides.

Peter: Personally, I think we should acknowledge the real Saint Nick.
Tony: There’s multiple?
Peter: No, I believe in the one true Christmas icon, Nicholas Furious.
Tony:
Fury from the guest room: WHICH ONE OF YOU IDIOTS HID ALL OF MY CLOTHES AND LEFT A FULL SANTA SUIT IN THE CLOSET
Peter: I used his full legal name for a reason.

9 REASONS "THE MARVELS" WAS GOOD ACTUALLY (Spoiler Warning)
-woman with big hammer
-of the two combat-trained named male characters, one is the token 2nd-in-command baddie and literally all he does is throw his queen her hammer. An icon, truly
-a little Indian lady calling Nick Motherfucking Fury "Nicholas"
-"stop crying and let the aliens eat you" as the song from Cats plays in the background
-oops there are consequences for heroism especially when "heroism" is swooping in and beating people up. Turns out it doesn't immediately solve everything and I love when superhero movies actually acknowledge that (but also how far y'all went during your own civil war is not her fault lady take some responsibility for yourself)
-"Are you praying? Well don't stop!" (Inserts random "Amens" as the praying continues)
-Carol's husband, truly a gem of a character
-One of the best and most realistic training montages in the MCU
-Kamala's entire family and their constant sass

Exclusivity for the Loki @variant-zine has ended, so now I present to you my son boy!
I have a backlog of zine illustrations that I have consistently forgotten to upload to any social media... so maybe expect more art in the near future?
Image ID:
Kid Loki sits on a pile of rubble and concrete, apathetically sipping on a juice box while staring apathetically off to one side. He is an early teen child with wavy, shoulder-length black hair, fair skin, and green eyes. He wears a golden circlet with his signature v-shaped symbol on the front, and wings flanking the sides. He wears a layered outfit primarily of green, black, and gold--a tunic with pants, boots, and gloves mixed with a more modern “hoodie” aesthetic. His symbol is emblazoned on the chest.
At his feet scatter several weapons or possessions iconic to the Avengers--Iron Man’s face shield, Captain America’s shield, Black Widow’s belt buckle, Wanda’s crown, Nick Fury’s eyepatch, and a Pym Particle Disk. Behind him sits Mjolnir, and and the shaft of a Dora Milaje spear can be seen. In the foreground, Hawkeye’s arrows can be seen in silhouette.
All around is chaos in a muted gray. Cement, rebar, wood, and other rubble is strewn about, while any remaining buildings are broken and leaning. In the distance, the silhouette of a city of broken skyscrapers can be seen, the sky a reddish-brown implying the presence of smoke, fire, and dust.
