I really want to roleplay and I want something that would be faster and easier formatting-wise than Tumblr atm, so DM me if you're up for writing Rumbelle (I'd love to explore any/all variations of Rumbelle: them in Storybrooke and in the Enchanted Forest, both at various points in canon and AU, Gold x Lacey, Weaver x Belle in an AU where she didn't die and was cursed with everyone else, Weaver x Lacey...), Rushbelle, GoldenQueen (once again, I'd love to explore different variations here — Rumple x the Evil Queen, imp!Rumple x Regina, Gold x Regina etc — but atm I'm a bit hyperfixated on Weaver x Roni) or Nicholas Rush x Amanda Perry on Discord with me!)

How the AU’s work

Each au has four version (book style in which it falls into silver eye’s continuity, game style in which it falls into game continuity, movie style in which it falls into movie continuity, and amalgam style in which it combines all three continuity’s into one)

In xanthophobia Cassidy is the villain (William afton die’s extremely soon in the AU and for once in his life never comes back)

So in my most of my AU’s the souls are able to grow old despit not being alive which explains any shipping you might see. Most of it isn’t my doing though

Elizabeth x Nick is only cannon in golden children

Unless its Evan x Cassidy or Mike x Charlie

TF2 is cannon in the golden children au (i mostly just wanted to make fnaf 2 Jeremy TF2 Jeremy)

The golden children au takes place in the late 80s to early 90s with flash forwards towards the pizzaplex era while the shattered souls au takes place in 1991 and the malefactor malfunction shifts the entire time line to start in 2000 GMTC takes place around 1999 to 2018 xanthophobia takes place in in the 2000s and 2010s

In shattered souls Springtrap is much nicer due to him losing his murdeous tendencies after getting spring locked

malefactor malfunction is a Ben 10 fnaf crossover with Cassidy having a version of the omnitrix called kaizotrix

When did you post your first ever fanfic?

It would have been some time in early 2005 on Fanfiction.net

I’d essentially been writing fanfiction in notebooks in the 90s but before then our computer was in a shared computer room and we had 30 minutes of dial up allowance per sibling per day so I never browsed the internet enough to understand what fanfiction was and that people would want to read things. I was just having fun!

Then Livejournal (and later AO3) happened and the rest, as they say, was history.

First Character(s) you wrote for?

Ash and Misty in Pokémon (largely unpublished and just for fun until 2007) and then my first published fanfic was for Paine and Nooj from Final Fantasy X-2

Main character(s) you’re currently writing for:

I do still love a bit of Pokémon fanfiction. But mainly nowadays I’m writing David/Patrick (Schitt’s Creek), Nick/Charlie (Heartstopper) and, occasionally, Tim/Lucy (The Rookie). I’m also working through a very long (for me) story based on a series of books I read as a child (Animal Ark) so we can add Mandy Hope and James Hunter to the list even if I take massive hiatuses on it.

I have severe ADHD though so I tend to be very flighty with fandoms. The ones that have stuck around are ones that I have essentially trauma bonded myself to (I can date my periods of stress to when a particular piece of media came out because I’m still obsessed with it decades later!)

I’m stuck on a scene that needs to go between the most recently published one and this one so have a random scene from the Animal Ark fanfiction that I am writing purely for my own enjoyment:

The photo he had landed on was one she hadn't seen in years; she remembered when she flicked through the facebook album when they got home that it hadn't even registered as something she should dwell on, the trip had been full of too much safari excitement. But now… she dwelled. The two of them were sat, questionably close, on a bed in a wood panelled hotel room; his chin propped up on her shoulder as they read a book together- the title had been lost to memory- and his arm braced behind her. She remembered a kid from their travel party, young and excitable like she had once been, taking the photo before either of them realised she was there and it ending up nestled in a photo album that was otherwise posed and purposeful. A little secret anomaly. After, when the flash had made them jump and they broke apart, she remembered the feeling of guilt, of being caught in the act of something that she couldn't quite identify. He hadn't ever come away with them again, life had got busier, and she never told him about the hot, quivering feeling that had overtaken her in the seconds before they were interrupted. How, if he had come just a little closer, she would have closed the gap and kissed him. It would have been a first for both of them, and it would have been clumsy and awkward, but she would have done it without a moment’s hesitation if she hadn't been startled by that camera. She had forgotten about it, truthfully, for a long time, but now the memory of that unfamiliar heat rising up in came flooding back when he stepped closer to her.

And, just in case, another from a little Heartstopper scene I started in lieu of getting up and doing anything productive at 8am this morning:

Charlie’s voice, more like music in his ear than the sounds he had just created, played somewhere nearby. Close, but not close enough until he stepped forward and peered down at Nick. From this angle, the glow of the neon sign cast shadows across the angles of his face; highlighted the fullness of his lips in a way that made Nick feel hot. He looked away, tried to inject something that would sound like humour in to his voice.

“I’m trying!”

“Here, budge up, let me help.”

SO! I wrote almost 4k words, but Tumblr won't let me post as such so I can't explain why I put the songs I listed. Just wasted 2hrs of my life. Maybe I'll post my explanation on my non-Tumblr blog next week.

I just am very passionate about these fucking dorks and any excuse to write about them and their music I jump at. I am TRULY obsessed with them.

16. What are your writing strengths? Tough. I think I'm good at getting into a character's POV, making the reader feel like they're right with the character. I also consider myself a fairly decent smut writer. I've been praised for my canon language skills in Spartacus fic, which I pride myself on. Generally dialogue, I always put great effort into making the characters sound in character and close to canon.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? World building, plot, getting from a to b. I tend to visualize scenes but then I need to get the characters there and I often struggle with "greater picture" parts.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I've used some German phrases in a fic where there was a German character. I don't feel comfortable using a language I'm not fluent in (English is already my second language) but if the show has a conlang or a character uses phrases in their native tongue a lot I'll try to incorporate that. Might wanna try to find a native speaker to proof read though.

I must admit that there's a reason I came back here today (two, actually, because I want to gif every single Rush scene 😁) and that reason is a prompt list I accidentally found while logged into my Belle rp blog because I realized most of those prompts could go well with Lizzington, so if anyone wants a ficlet about our favorite couple, just go to the prompt list I just reblogged (of course, you're more than welcome to also scroll through my 'prompt list' tag and choose a prompt from any other list I ever reblogged), pick whatever prompt you like and send it in!

Personal vent [please do not reblog, although I would love some advice in the comments].

About five years ago, I met a neurodivergent man I’ll call Nick (portion of his real name that he uses as a nickname/online persona when he doesn’t want to use his real name) through a mutual friend of ours. He’s a very sweet man, early 30’s, bisexual and allegedly on his second civil union (he’s supposedly been married twice, both times to same sex partners). He also suffers from a condition called Reactive Attachment Disorder. Nick has told me a variety of colorful stories throughout my friendship with him.

Nick claims to work for a major technology company [not naming the company for privacy reasons] and once was able to get me a deal on a laptop from said company at a heavy discount. Ever since getting me the laptop, Nick frequently claims that he has obtained access to my laptop through the Get Help app on Windows. I’ve given him permission to do this once when I needed a quick tech support consult and didn’t have time to sit through a chat with Dell or Windows.

Recently, Nick has claimed to have “given” me several upgrades to my laptop, but now, I’m suspicious because a. I can see no proof that he’s accessing my computer when he claims to be, and b. I’ve found that most of what he’s asking is seemingly random, single keystrokes (usually the x or ; ) and I can see no evidence that he’s changed anything on my laptop.

I know that some of these keystrokes open certain things, such as device manager, but he claims he’s making all these changes to my computer. He also claims to be “an engineer who works on Windows updates for Dell” and often tells me not to install new Windows updates right away because he’s “still finalizing them” [but why would it be available to me from Windows if it was still being finalized? Also, why can’t I see any evidence of the updates being made?] Unfortunately, however, Nick is not my only issue.

I have another friend tied to Nick, Mandy, [portion of real name] who is always role playing with me to entertain Nick as he “works”. I would be fine with this, if it weren’t for the fact that Mandy has a seizure disorder, and her seizures often cause her to lose significant parts of her memory, which means that we end up, role-playing the same things over and over and over again. Mandy claims that she wants to post the role-plays as a story on the archive of our own website, but she refuses to write any of the scenes down, and she goes so quickly through them, often out of order because she wants to see how a particular scene will play out. This makes it impossible for me to write them down either. Even when I get to a point where we could write them down, she keeps flip-flopping on parts of the story and insisting we play them out again to change it.

Mandy has a host of mental and physical conditions, one of them being maladaptive daydreaming. So, we can be in the middle of a conversation about something totally unrelated to the role-play, and she will say “why can I see…” , And begin role-playing without even asking me. I’ve told her repeatedly that this is something that bothers me, and that she needs to ask me before role-playing, but it never seems to stick.  She claims she does this to entertain Nick, who struggles to read in English because it’s not his first language. If we’re not role-playing a fanfiction, she will lapse into wanting to role-play the story of a novel that she is allegedly, been working on since long before she met me. She made me a character in the novel, despite knowing that I hate the novel concept. She’s flip-flopped from claiming that she wants to publish the novel, despite believing that it will “get her killed because people are not ready for the diversity put into it” and wanting to burn it because her obsession with it upsets me.  I try to change the subject when she does this, but it briefly gets her back on track before she slips into it again. She claims that this is because she has a condition called maladaptive daydreaming.

Recently, we have been creating an In the Heights fanfiction together. In an attempt to get over her dislike of Latin men, due to mistreatment by her Latin father, Mandy paired herself with the main character , and changed his heritage to Afro-Latin to make him “more interesting”. This would be fine, if Mandy [who was raised by a white mother and barely has any connection to her Latin roots] was willing to do any kind of research. She claims she has, but a lot of what she’s coming up with does not make sense. I am fairly familiar with Latin culture, as I have a college degree in Spanish. I’ve actually called her out on several inaccuracies. I noticed this is a habit she makes with her fan fictions, which is irritating, because most of her favorites are related to historical fiction [The Tudors, etc]!

As if that wasn’t enough of a problem, Mandy gets so into her characters that she has been posting on Reddit, pretending to be one of her characters from one of our role-plays. People became so incensed by her posts that they believed the story was real, and Mandy gleefully claims her Reddit account was banned from the r/aita forum.

It has now reached a point where neither Mandy nor Nick will allow me to hang up on our Skype calls without protest. I can barely even go to the bathroom without leaving them on a call, which is difficult for me as I have a disability that makes simple, everyday tasks take much longer. (a disability that Mandy also shares, so she should understand).  I’ve tried speaking to both Mandy and Nick about this, and it always gets better for a little while, but then gets worse again. I really don’t want to walk away from the friendship but I would love advice.

Is there any way that I can get through to them? I tried avoiding them, but it always seems that Nick manages to find some way to contact me or make Mandy do it for him.

Summary: My Senior Year. Man was I a mess. I was doing my stage management internship while writing my twenty four page research paper. Which, I had no plan for at all that year. So, I decided last minute to just do it on my favorite fairytale and just run with it. My professor had me rewrite the first half of my paper at least ten times that semester before I even got it right. And, by that point I was stressing on whether or not I was going to even be able to finish my paper.

ABOUT:

A remake of Famous Fashion Photographer William Klien’s 1977 French Feature film “The Model Couple” , where an“average” couple in there late 20’s is scientifically studied, surveyed, and surveilled by scientist working for the Ministry of the Future in there apartment on the scientific premises. There is also a television aspect, with there life being televised and recorded, and the couple being followed and discussed by the Gossipy News Media. A sort of Precursor satire of Reality Television and the future of television, and survey driven market culture and abundant technology to “simplify” our live, among other modern topics. The remake, will have a more cynical tone in it’s satire, and will critique pop culture, Reality TV, News, Scientific Surveys studies and Survey Culture, Social Media, and Internet Dating. Technology, and more. While the original had a more light tone, this one will still be a comedy but have overtones of thriller, horror and science fiction. Some main differences between this and the original will be, that the young couple instead of being married for a while, will have been matched up by an algorithm (both having some social media presence), and our thrust in to domestic life together, there will be more intrusion by visits of the public, and scientific experimenting, as well as the child and teenager “terrorists” who take over in the climax of the original, will be a bit more threatening. As well as the scientist will be more nefarious.

The budget will be two million dollars, above the line costs are Mia Goth and Michael Cera are being paid $150,000 plus 10 percent of the net profits and WIlliam Dafoe,Olivia Colman, Nicolas Cage are being paid $50,000 each plus 3.33 percent of the profits (for essentially a few days work for Olivia Colam and WIlliam Dafoe, and a day or two of work for Nicolas Cage) .The upcoming writer-director J. Douglas Smith (“The period.”) will be paid $75,000 plus 5 percent of profits, the lead producer will be paid $75,000 plus 5 percent of net profits. The film will be shot almost entirely one location, that of the apartment, and the scientific rooms studying the apartment. The film will have a shooting schedule of 18 out of 21 days , and multiple cameras will be used. Do the pre shooting rehearsing, shooting with multiple cameras,

And the limited sets with controlled lighting, and need to move approximately 6 ½ pages will be shot a day. Out of the 2,000 dollar budget- 20 percent will be used for extra shooting days, unforeseen expenses, etc. The shooting budget will be $1.6 million minus the $600,000 in salaries for cast.

Electronic musician and composer Dan Deacon (who has scored for big and small films, such as Francis ford coppola’s “Twixt” and the Adam Sandler Film “Hustle”) will score the film.

U.S.A. Locations:

Louisiana, with as much as 40 % tax credit, and a small $300,000 budget minimum Louisiana is a great place to film. Also the state has several professional film companies, soundstages, and crews. It has been the place in the last 20 years of over 400 productions.

Georgia, is home to many professionals in the film and television industry and soundstages. They offer a minimum of 20 percent for all budgets over $500,000.

CNN and Cartoon Network are among the networks located there.

Illinois, with only a minimum spend of $100,000 , a large metropolis city used in many big budget features such as Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, and a large network of film and theatrical professionals in both crew and acting.

New Mexico, with a base credit of 25 % upwards to 40% you can get a lot of bang for your buck in New Mexico and no minimum spend and a 5 percent credit for using local studio space, the dollar spreads far.

International Locations:

Ireland: with 37 % tax credits available to international productions and 90(!) percent of the tax credit up front, if 68 percent of budget of production has been deposited in production account.

Poland up to 50 to even 70 percent subsidies to film projects. WIlling to invest, co produce and staff film with co-producing credit, and profit shares.

Croatia: with tax credits of 30 percent, up to 50 percent(!) for films filming there entirety in Croatia.

Any of these options could work as this feature does not require that large of a studio, a huge cast or crew, or many outside locations.
