Soundtrack #1: A Review
It had some really nice sweaters (particularly this one at the end)
but otherwise I didn't like it.
Disney+ kdramas are batting zero for me which is disappointing because I already pay for the service for my kids. (reminds myself to try Moving again).
This was actually a weird experience because I just watched Park Hyung-sik play the male lead in a friends to lovers romance (Happiness, which I loved) but the vibes were completely different. Sun-woo felt like he was in pain all the time, while Yi-hyun was chill with being "just" friends. Also, why did Sun-woo wait 8 years to tell her? It took him 4 years to work up the courage to ask her and then she made a comment so he gave up? Ug.
Why did Sun-woo not just give Eun-soo his copies of the pictures of their trip? It wasn't a Love Actually situation, she had already seen the pictures and it's in no way weird to keep pictures of a trip that you and your friend went on. Honestly, it's weirder to delete them! Made no sense to me.
I hated Sun-woo going to the wine bar where Eun-soo was eating with her boss. Don't make a scene that might mess with someone's career! And it was so awkward how often Eun-soo touched Sun-woo because it made me feel pained for him. Not that it's her fault but I didn't enjoy watching it. Sun-woo watching Eun-soo not be herself with people she likes was also painful.
I really do hate the endless pining trope and this was basically just all that, but I finished it anyway because it was so short. There were cute things, like Sun-woo always having five oranges near him because he was trying to help Eun-soo eat them, and I liked Eun-soo's clothes, but it wasn't enough to overcome my ick.
Final sweater appreciation:

it really is insane how waking up early will grant you access to some of the most beautiful sights and sensations in the world that will make you want to live forever, but only if you overcome the gauntlet of a thousand razors that is getting out of bed early. truly one of life's little saw traps.

“You shouldn’t self-ID as ADHD/autistic, you’re turning a very real mental condition into a trend” Ok then stop saying delulu. Stop speculating on which cluster C personality disorder the criminals you hear about on the news have. Stop saying “schizoposting” and “acoustic” and “is it restarted?” Stop using “psycopath” and “sociopath” as catch-all ways of calling someone a bad person. Stop saying “the intrusive thoughts won” when you bleach your hair and then turn your nose up at people who suffer from very real, very scary urges of physical/sexual violence. Stop saying “I’m so OCD” as a way of calling yourself neat. Stop treating BPD/ASPD/Bipolar as inherently abusive. Stop saying “OP I am living in your walls” without tagging for unreality. Stop diagnosing complete strangers you’ve never met on r/AITA with NPD.
You first. If you don’t want our disabilities to be treated like trends then stop belittling and minimising them. I’ll NEVER judge a person for trying find labels for their symptoms when an apathetic, racist, sexist, ableist healthcare system refuses to. But I will absolutely judge a hypocrite. Which a lot of you are

there's a cherry blossom tree in DC that keeps blooming every year even though it shouldn't and the park service keeps thinking it's dead and then it keeps blooming! well they're removing a lot of trees to rehabilitate the area and they've said it's finally time for stumpy to go and they're going to mulch it and use the mulch to enrich all the other trees so it can help everything else keep going. and they're also going to plant spliced little pieces of it all over so that stumpy can live forever and this is genuinely sending me into a spiral

its so brave that you have such a 2012-coded url in this 2024 world
would you call a bear brave for standing in a new construction suburb or would you recognize the unfamiliar world they built around him

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
