It doesn’t have to be like, completely 100% fantasy like something out of DND, honestly it doesn’t have to be fantasy at all. It could be modern fantasy or just modern! Maybe some western love between two cowboys. Or two experiments escaping from their confinement and trying to live a life they didn’t know was possible! Just something to add a bit of flare yknow! I don’t have exact characters in mind because I just like making my characters based of your character or story based of them.

While some of these books don’t outright announce some of the characters’ identities in the story, there are cues that a-spec readers are likely to pick up on either in the first book or later in the series. For the ones that aren’t completely obvious, I’ve received confirmation from the authors.

4. Whats your favorite feeling?

probably pure happiness--that joy i feel whenever i see my kid do something new, whenever i get to watch him grow up. i realized the other day that he can read read now instead of just barely read and i felt this intense feeling of joy radiate through me at how much he's growing up. i often wonder if this is what my mom felt whenever she'd watch me hit milestones.

7. Who do you feel most like yourself around?

Kel. as it turns out when you share a life with someone then they sorta become the person you're most yourself around. sorry to my sister but she doesn't and will never understand me being nonbinary, will always call me by my birth name and will always see me as 'she'. and while it doesn't make me feel icky anymore it does make me feel like im an imposter.

with Kel i can be myself, i don't get misgendered, i don't have to pretend and its just overall very nice :)

10. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? (or just felt really good afterwards)

okay so like, imagine if you will, i am driving down the road, my friend is in the passenger seat. the light turns from green to yellow and i sorta speed through it as it turns red; lo and behold, a cop also speeds through it and we very briefly make eye contact. i tell my friend "huh i cant believe i just ran a red light with a cop" and then i proceed to lose it for the next several minutes while im still driving down the road. tears welling up in my eyes sorta laughter. absolutely bonkers it was, because the joke there is that i drive extra careful and never stray over the speed limit on that road because i feel like a cop will stop me for anything (going 5 miles over the speed limit while im going down a mountain for example) but Kel can speed down that same road, past cops and won't even get stopped lmao.

12. What calms you down?

breathing, i think. whenever i get overwhelmed, i breathe, in through my nose and out through my mouth. make it a whole big deal because like nothing horrible can happen as long as im still breathing right? barring that, if i lay in a dark room for long enough i tend to calm down from that too.
