Thoughts on ep 6? I see a lot of praise for it but I'm like 🤔. A lot of things were annoying and illogical and I don't like what they're doing with most of the characters this season. Now even Daemon gets a redemption arc, Aegon is the biggest victim of his family, but Aemond is 100 % evil, Helaena barely appears at all (at this point Sylvie and Dyana might be more important to the story). I'm just disappointed.

I'm terribly tired of this season, it's a complete disappointment. Many fan theories and fanfictions are better written than this series. I don't know what writers get their money for. The whole season 2 is like Groundhog Day. The sixth episode is just water.

We continue to be shown Daemon, his hallucinations and his “redemption”. We are promoted that he loved his brother, but this love did not extend to Viserys’ other children. Daemon and Rhaenyra actually spent their entire lives ignoring, neglecting, rejecting, and abusing Alicent's children because their grandfather was Otto. Viserys did not accept his children because ANOTHER WOMAN gave birth to them. Alicent's children were indeed discriminated against by their paternal relatives. Therefore, I do not believe in the propaganda of Daemon's redemption, that Rhaenyra is kind, and Viserys is a good parent. Besides, I'm terribly tired of all these hallucinations in Harrenhal. It was interesting in the beginning, but now it's endless repetition.

The pointless scenes of Rhaenyra and Daemon could have been spent on a story arc with the north and Sarah Snow, showing Daeron, more scenes to Helaena.

It looks like we have Daemon, Rhaenyra and Alicent, other characters, playing the role of «trees» or «decorations» for them.

They decided to show Aegon as a victim. This is a cheap scenario move to divide the TG stans into two camps: those who support Aemond and those who support Aegon. As if we weren't already divided into helaemond stans and anti-helaemond long ago. Aegon could have been given a bit of heroism to get burned by Rhaenys. But we have what we have. The dynamic between Aegon and Aemond reminds me of the dynamic between Viserys and Daenerys. It really is déjà vu, but I don't believe the writers intended it that way.

Aemond tries to deal with the problems that Aegon and Rhaenyra created. The birth of the rebellion began after Aegon carried out a reign of terror by hanging the rat-catchers. Rhaenyra set up a blockade. Aemond closed the gates, but if he had not done this, the entire infrastructure would have stopped working, since there would be no people left in the capital. It's cruel, but it's true and it's wartime. The problem is that Aegon, as king, failed to convey to the people that they were starving because of Rhaenyra, staged a public execution and fired Otto. Aemond can no longer do anything, because the mechanism has already been launched and a riot was inevitable.

I don't think they're trying to make Aemond evil, but the normies will think he's evil. He is cruel to his brother for personal reasons, he fired Alicent (which I support him on) because she loves Rhaenyra (Alicent actually had a chance to end the war in episode 3, but she loves Rhaenyra more than her children). Aemond brought Otto back because he knows that his grandfather is the best Hand.

I feel bad for Helaena the most. I really believed that she would be on the small council. Ewan talked a lot about Helaena: “She is good with books and money.” I'm really upset. We weren't even shown the Dreamfyre. Why does Alice Rivers have more screen time in the Targaryen story? Where is Helaena's coronation?

Alys Rivers is absolutely disgusting to me. She's a maniac on the hunt for Targaryen sperm. She drives Daemon crazy like a brain parasite. I hope people stop romanticizing alysmond, because the same thing awaits Aemond.

Sylvia was offended that Aemond no longer came to her and did not pay her money, so she decided to spread lies about him that he was throwing a feast in the castle. Even Diana doesn't believe her because she served the royal family and knew Aemond's character. Sylvia is not a hero, she owns a brothel. She abused (ra**d) 13 year old Aemond and I'm sure other children too. She manipulated Aemond, and when he left, she decided to take revenge on him.

Rhaena was given the Nettles line, which is quite disappointing. Once again the writers show that in TB this is the Mary Sue team. The writers actually decided to remove the cool character because they didn't want to ruin daenyra.

Helaemond is pain. The writers decided to gaslight us. The entire written plot in the first season was destruction, all the potential was destruction. Ewan and Phia say that Helaemond was not in the scripts, but I don't believe it. There are many scenes and hints in the second half of the first season.

House of the Dragon is truly a complete disappointment for those with critical thinking skills. The scriptwriters' favoritism is not even hidden.

Bring back Miguel! He is the only one who knows how to write a script and characters!

We have two more episodes, but there's not much hope.

Miguel stirs in your shared bed, lazily outstretching an arm in search of your warmth. When it fails to be met with the familiar brush of your skin against his, worry sobers him, if only by a fraction. Upon cracking an eye open he realizes that you aren't in the room at all. What's more is that the door is cracked, distant light spilling in from elsewhere in the apartment. He doesn't bother to check the time, nor turn a single light on before sluggishly clambering out of bed and into the hallway. Not that he really needs to, of course. He can make out your scent growing headier with each step closer to the kitchen. 

You can hear him coming, or... sense it, rather. For a moment you pause in bringing the glass to your lips, offering a look back over your shoulder in his direction. To ensure he doesn't trip on the living room furniture, perhaps. It's not long after you cast your gaze forward again, sipping at the water in your hand, that you can feel his palms graze over your sides. They travel a languid path around to your stomach and soon settle down on your hips, pulling you back so his larger form can engulf your own. The movement makes you minutely aware of the soreness that's begun to emerge from your romping hours prior, but you pay it little mind.

Now that you're in his arms you can feel him soften significantly. You greet him with a small hum as you drink, and he gives a grunt in return. Having you near is enough to soothe his frayed nerves, evidently. He dips his head down and tucks his face into the crook of your neck, tiredly nosing along your jawline.

"Mi sol," he murmurs.

"Mm?"

"A kiss?"

A breathy chuckle slips out, but you oblige.

His lips don't stay on yours for long, though. Soon they're brushing back down your neck, just relishing the way you so graciously tilt your head off to the side. There's no stopping the groggy laugh that escapes when you can feel, no-- hear-- him sniffing you. He grumbles, cheeks flushing in embarrassment, but he can't help it. You smell so damn good, so damn perfect. 

Frankly, you can't help yourself either. The sun isn't even up yet and you're so tired, the way he's got his face pressed in against your neck, nosing and huffing-- You know he's in rut, but it takes all your strength not to burst out laughing.

Well, despite your best efforts you break anyway. With your head tipping back, you barely manage to set your glass aside on the counter to avoid dropping it as you dissolve into a fit.

It's in this moment, though, that the more instinct-driven side of Miguel's mind sees an opportunity and doesn't hesitate to take it. He bites down firm into the side of your now bared throat, releasing a low groan when he feels your giggles stutter off into a whine. This isn't the first time he's bitten you, and it certainly won't be the last. Yet still, the immediate surrender that seems to always overtake you rekindles his desires in an instant. He's all but ready to tear his boxers off and have another go at you if you'll let him, but he forces himself to relent somewhat. You'd lovingly taken the brunt of his insatiable appetite earlier in the evening as it was. Drunk off your scent or not, he'd be a fool to be so rough again so soon.

My Thoughts about House of the Dragon 2x02

Poor Haelena. No one cares about her or is with her. They only care about the dead baby. She is a victim too.

Otto taking advantage of a dead child is just cruel. He is only about propaganda against Rhaenyra.

Alicent asking Haelena if she has seen her with cole was just, ist that your only concern right now? Your daughter has seen her child being murdered.

The procession was a bit much for my opinion. Haelena having a panic attack. She deserves better.

The whole Rhaenyra saying to Daemon that she cant trust him and never has is stupid. Why did she marry him then? She said herself that her claim is stronger with him and now it's suddenly not? I 'm sorry but i m on Daemons side in this. To be clear i dont support the dead of the child. But Daemon has never lied to her why would he now? I dont know what Rhaenyras goal is she has not taken action so far and voiced it. And tahat is getting on my nerves. She is sitting the whole episode on Dragonstone and does nothing significant. Sending Baela instead of Jace to patrol Kings Landing i have a bad feeling.

That Daemon left after this i can understand. It was time that he got out of there. He should have been in Harrenhall since ep 10. She is triving her strongest ally away. In the book most of the people stood behind her because of Daemon. And here they argue about Viserys. The hard truth is that Viserys named Rhaenyra heir to get rid of Daemon. He is right. She wasnt named because she was better suited for the job she was 14 at the time. And he kept her because he was feeling guilty because of what he did to her mother.

Daemons flight off in the sunset was beautiful filmed. But he could have said something to Baela.

Criston Cole is official the worst character in the whole series and that includes thrones to me. He should chocke when he speaks words like honor and dignity. And now he has all the power in hands. Cant wait to see it backfire.

Otto was always a character that i despised from the very beginning. I have always thought that i would enjoy it when he gets dismissed as hand. But he was actully very reasonable in that scene. I must give it to him that he always tried to avoid blodshed. Rhys Ifans is a very talented actor. His little laugh when Aegon said that that his father wanted him to be heir.

The Erryk Arryk scene was very sad. No wonder they sent Daemon away so quickly. If he had been there it wouldnt have happened. They missed the opurtunity for a great book quote here.

Rhaenyras chamber is a waste of space and money. The room with the dragon on the wall was a beautiful bedroom. They should have kept it. I dont reconise Dragonstone anymore. I understand the libary set but not Rhaenyras bedroom.

There will 100% be scenes together between Aemond and Helaena. Ewen and Fhia said in interviews that they played helaemond. The scenes will be in the second half of the second season. I don’t know what their relationship will be like in the script, whether there will be romance between them and whether the theory about Maelor will be confirmed.

The second episode destroyed me because they showed us OOC!Aemond. I still love Aemond, but this whole line with Madame is pointless, it would be better if he spent time with Vhagar and it would show the connection between the dragon and the rider and their loneliness.

For myself, I will justify this pointless Aemond storyline by saying that he is only 16-18 years old and these are his teenage mistakes. Unfortunately, the writers write the characters poorly. They literally turned Aemond into a Damon fan in order to once again humiliate the TG character and directly say that he is just a parody.

Bring back Miguel Sapochnik because so far the second season is complete crap.

The writers simply stole a character trait from Homelander. But the problem is that John has a cause-and-effect relationship: he was raised like a lab rat, he had no parents (I doubt that Soldier Boy would have coped with his father’s tasks), he was brainwashed by psychologists and so on. All this hell lasted 18 years. But why does Aemond have this?

Just feel the difference.

Ryan Condal, Miguel Sapochnik and Sara Hess are repulsive centrists and liberals who vomited all over a story about misogyny destroying a woman’s life to woobify and whitewashe a sex offender who committed femicide and turned into into “akshly both sides are bad”.

We had a story depicting how Rhaenyra dealt with misogyny from the Greens and hideous misogynistic slurs from her brothers insulting her genitals and calling her a “whore” every two seconds, now we have those violent male misogynists whitewashed and called “misunderstood” or bullied”.

The truth is that a lot of writers are like this in the industry and thus there's a lot of sexistly-written media that aren't overt or intentionally that way in the mainstream--has been for years--but my issue w/HotD is that:

this is quite obviously a tale about the consequences of male mobilized violence against a women who wants to have the same/similar powers and autonomy in her society as a man, so yes it'd be conducive for a person who knows, understands, and is willing to really lean into the very basic existence of misogyny being the reason how/why Rhaenyra loses & Dany ends up a bridal slave to a totally different people WITHOUT also leaving Rhaenyra to be so emotionally un-defiant

the writers claimed that they were feminist-ly writing and adapting the tale, when most of the decisions they made are very much not...esp sexist

they refuse to really display GRRM's style of fantasy--plus that fantasy deserves to be fantasy, no matter who's watching--is not grim dark but more like 80s fanciful maximalism...there's a way to "modernize" that without sacrificing the touch of color, visual grace, light!

Rhaenyra is already heavily maligned as to encourage the sexism against her or to justify the patriarchal violence done to her. as well as reinforce the idea of men-only sociopolitical rule and domination over most other people in a hierarchy....

Like, any story but this one....
