the best thing about teaching toddlers is that the kids take a two hour nap in the middle of the day right after lunch and i get to spend most of that time doing nothing on my phone <3

The 141!slasher au has me cackling. Reader lowkey being like "well, if the dick is good"
Imagining reader being taken in to be questioned by the cops for something unrelated to the boys killing. Maybe she witnessed a crime, or maybe someone else got assaulted by the guy who grabbed her. Would the guys be suspicious? Do they have a "get picked up by the cops" protocol, or do they believe there's no chance of ever getting caught? (Does reader already have a "don't talk to the fucking cops without a lawyer [ACAB!]" mindset that helped Johnny be confident in telling her the truth?)
Does reader ever help with kills? Ngl kind of seeing reader work at a children's hospital or as a social worker and taking note of ppl she knows are abusive and being like hey...Simon...<3...did u need ideas of who to kill next...
Anyway thank you for letting me share my thoughts:)
We love a reader who has her priorities straight ;)
Warnings: Mentions of child abuse/trauma.
Deep breaths. It has nothing to do with you or your boys.
The blinds are shut and there’s a weird buzzing noise coming from somewhere inside the room. Across from you sits a social worker and a detective, and your leg bounces anxiously.
It’s mandatory. You’re helping a child and his mom out of a bad situation.
You’d suspected something was wrong the first time Oliver was brought to your class with a couple of bruises on his leg. You had immediately written your observations down on his sheet and reported it to your bosses, but they brushed it off. Little boys are clumsy, after all, especially when they’ve just recently learned to start walking. The next couple of weeks, the toddler showed up unscathed and happy.
This morning, however, his mother dropped him off with a black eye and scratches all over his torso. You could see cuts of her own beneath the makeup she’d been crying off. You’d paged your bosses to come to your classroom immediately, and this time, they took it seriously. You weren’t thrilled that the police had to be involved, but you understood that it was necessary in saving this sweet family. You answered all of their questions honestly—neither saying too little nor too much.
“Thank you for your time, ma’am. You’re dismissed,” the detective gives you a solemn smile and rises from her seat, opening the door to allow you out.
You clutch your purse tightly as you walk through the precinct, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. You’re no stranger to facilities like these. Much of your childhood was spent sitting beside your father at his desk, acting like a good little girl, coloring on blank sheets of paper and pretending that daddy wasn’t such a monster. At work, he was a hero who citizens and coworkers alike depended on to keep them safe and happy. At home, he was a tyrant, taking every opportunity he could to use you and your mother as a punching bag.
As a child, you’re taught to depend on all the people who are meant to care for you—family members, the police—those whose first priority should be to protect. You should have been able to trust your father. You should have been able to run to him whenever you scraped your knee or got bullied at school, but instead, he was often the one causing you harm. Your mother got sick of the abuse and left when you were five but didn’t bother taking you with her, so he was all you had. He intimidated you into silence, but even if you had reported him, who would have believed the troubled young daughter of such a dependable officer? You learned too quickly, too young, that it would always be their word over yours.
When you first became a daycare teacher, you didn’t expect to see yourself in so many of the children you either cared for or saw in passing. It broke your heart every time you saw a toddler with a limp or an older child who still wet themselves at naptime, because you knew what they were feeling. You knew the despair they felt in every step they took, the fear they felt every time someone came to pick them up and take them right back to their broken home. The very day you started is the same day you decided you had to stay there, to be some kind of light in the darkness too many of these children should have been too young to ever know.
You have an unspecified amount of time off—your bosses decided that there was too much of a risk that Oliver’s dad might show up and try to start shit with you for reporting him. There’s still a lot of investigating that the police and child services have to do, and as of right now, the scumbag’s whereabouts are unknown. It’s nerve-wracking to leave your babies even despite knowing they’re in good hands. You’ll have to make sure and call in every day to check on them.
It’s about an hour drive back to the farm, and you spend every minute dreading the reunion with your lovers. None of them know about the situation, and you’re not exactly thrilled to catch them up to speed. Still, you owe it to them to be honest. God forbid they find out about it somewhere else and start believing some warped version of the truth. Just the mere idea of them distrusting you makes a sour feeling rise in your gut.
Kyle is working in the garden when you arrive, a wide smile on his face as he waves to greet you. The grin you send his way isn’t quite so excited, and immediately he knows something is up. If he was a bloodhound, you’d be sure he could smell the unrest in the air. The slam of your car door alerts the other three men of your presence, and they all line up by the front door curiously. Your heart is racing as you walk inside, motioning for them all to join you in the living room.
You sit in the recliner with your hands folded in your lap, nervously eyeing each of your husbands. The fear that they might hate you because of what happened gnaws at the front of your brain, chewing until it aches. You’re not even sure if you could blame them—after all, they had a good thing going before they met you. One wrong move and the cog in the machine gets tossed aside like trash.
“Speak, lovie,” Simon grunts impatiently, syrupy brown eyes scanning over your face, watching, analyzing.
“There was an incident at the daycare today,” you begin. “Child services had to get involved, and I was called to the police station to explain my side of things.”
You’re shaking like a leaf, unable to look at any of them. The tension in the room is so thick that John could probably cut through it with his machete. Not one of them has so much as blinked, each waiting on another to say or do something first. You do.
“It had nothing to do with any of you, I swear. I’m off work for a few days while the whole thing gets settled. I can’t say much about the case, just that… there was an abusive father involved. They haven’t found him yet, and they’re exercising the idea that I might be a target for reporting him.”
“Fuck,” Kyle mutters exasperatedly, rubbing his hands over his face as Johnny wraps an arm around his shoulder.
You finally gather the courage to lift your head, and to your surprise, there is no fury or hatred in any of their expressions. At least, not directed at you. They look more like they’re waiting for an order, leaning forward in their seats like attack dogs ready to pounce. Suddenly it’s clear to you—they may have been an item before you entered the picture, but once you joined them, you became their commander, one that they’ll remain loyal to until the day they die.
“I have a proposition,” you whisper, looking directly at John.
     “Give us a name, sweetheart.”

Patience
You kneel on the hardwood floor, feeling the squishy, damp embrace of your diaper pressing against your bum. Your day replays in your mind, a series of tender moments and comforting routines.
This morning seems so far away now. Daddy had woken you up gently, his strong hands lifting you from your crib. You remember the weight of your night-time nappy, so full and heavy, as he laid you on the changing table. The cool air felt nice on your skin as Daddy expertly cleaned and changed you, the thick, dry padding of a fresh diaper replacing the soggy one.
After breakfast—spoonfuls of mushy cereal that Daddy fed you with playful airplane sounds—he dropped you off at daycare. The day passed in a blur of playtime and giggles until naptime arrived. Waking up to the feeling of a wet diaper was becoming all too familiar. The regression school staff changed you into a clean nappy. You felt so fresh and new, ready to take on the rest of the day.
When you got home, the house was quiet, just like now. You spent the afternoon doing chores: folding laundry, sweeping the floor, and tidying up the living room. Each task was punctuated by the occasional warm, wet feeling as your diaper absorbed more and more. But you didn’t mind—it was comforting in a strange way.
Now, with all your chores done, you kneel patiently, waiting for Daddy to come home. The anticipation makes your tummy flutter, and you try to focus on anything but the growing urge. You shift slightly, the squishy diaper underneath you making a soft crinkling sound.
The front door creaks open, and you hear Daddy’s footsteps. You try to hold it, but the pressure in your tummy is too much. As Daddy steps into the room, a faint squelching sound fills the air. Daddy’s eyes soften with understanding. He walks over, kneeling beside you. “Did my little girl have a tough time waiting?” he asks, his voice gentle.
You nod, a small whimper escaping your lips. “I tried, Daddy.” He smiles, lifting you into his arms. “I know you did, sweetheart. Let’s get you cleaned up.” As Daddy carries you to the changing table, you rest your head on his shoulder, feeling safe and loved despite the mess. All is well in your little world.

-☼ When you first walked in with your caregiver Sun was just doing their job, take the kid from their parents, get the kid checked in, than entertain them until naptime, after you said bye to your caregiver Sun took you into the sea of loud, messy and running children. -☼ You didn't really know what to do when Sun left you alone to go help other kids, so you just went off to play with the toys and be in your own little world, though not acting like the other kids around you, where still a kid, a kid who needed attention and attention was what you where going to have! -☼ Now having children who don't like playing, loud noises, and just can't handle overwhelming places where not uncommon for Sun, so it gave you your space but made sure to check up on you every once and a while, making sure your eating when its snack time, making sure you haven't left the daycare, asking if you wanted to join in with the other kids, ect. Sun was watching over the kids while they ate, it counted all the kids but found one missing, they looked around but couldn't see you anywhere near the eating tables, so they started looking around any corners or places you might be when it found you huddled in a small-ish place with blankets and pillows, you seemed tired and floating in and out of consciousness. "Oh little sunbeam, tired already?" Sun asked as they carefully picked you up and huddled you close in their arms and pulling the blanket over you "it is about naptime isn't it my little sunbeam" Sun said after booping your nose and walking back to the children to tell them its naptime.

-☾ After Sun turned the lights off and all the children went to their sleeping bags Moon looked down and saw you half asleep in their arms, smiling softly it walked towards where the children where sleeping and sat down humming a small lullaby while holding you close to their lap. -☾ If you are one to have nightmares often or bad nightmares they will slowly wake you up and just softly reasure you that your safe in its arms, that no one and nothing can hurt you while they are here.
Moon was keeping a eye on all the children in a protective manner, being a almost second parent to most of the kids they took the role seriously, nothing was going to happen to you or the others. It felt movement in its arms and when it looked down and saw you looking up at them with grabby hands it softly smiled and held you so you where sitting on its leg. "Whats wrong little star? shouldn't a little star like you be sleeping?" Moon asks softly as to not wake up the other children. You looked up at them and whispered "puppet!" at first it took Moon a second before they smiled and patted your head "a puppet show? well if my little star wishes who am I to say no" Moon than placed you on the floor and went to get a flashflight. After a while other kids woke up to the puppet show while you sat in their lap and watched with amazment at the puppet show. Soon all the kids woke up, some watching the show and others playing around where Moon can see them, after a while the puppet show finished and Moon asked you to sit still while it goes to grab something and to put the flashlight back. When it came back it knelt down and showed two plushies, one of them and the other of Sun "Sun and I thought you would like them, so whenever your not here you have something to play with and to cuddle with when you sleep" Moon smiled softly as you grabbed the plushies and hugged them "thank!" they patted you on the head and went to turn the lights back on.

Back Rooms Level: 840 - "The Daycare"
Difficulty level: Class 3
Unsafe
Unsecure
Low Entity count
Description
Level 840 is the 841st level of the Backrooms. This level consists of a daycare with various play areas within the daycare walls and an outside area resembling a sort of liminal cafeteria area. A single physical entity called the Daycare Attendant tends to the daycare. It is completely indoors, so has no changing weather conditions and stays around a temperature of 21°C (69.8°F) at all times.
There is a day and night cycle with an instant switch, which will be referred to as “Playtime” and “Naptime”. There is no indication of the light-switch besides a subtle flicker of the lights a couple seconds before the switch itself. The night cycle usually lasts between 1-3 hours and the day cycle can vary from 3-9 hours.
Tumblr media
The Mats
The Mats are the main area of the daycare and make up most of the level. Similar to a trampoline park, the floors are hard and matted surfaces. They vary from red to blue mats and cover the entire daycare floor. This is where naptime takes place when the lights are off (“Naptime”).
The Play Structures
Similar to the Tubes and Play Structures on Level 283, this area consists of Tubes and netted hallways colorfully intertwining into each other reaching up to around 15m (~49,2ft) in height. There are ramps leading to different floors of the play structure and half-slides and tube slides, all varying in color. It is not recommended to enter the full tubes as they have a chance of leading travelers to Level 283 and there has been no regularity to how often and which slides send you there.
Tumblr media
The Ballpit
The Ballpit is one of the entrance points of Level 840, where in most cases you are greeted by the Daycare Attendant. As far as various communities in the Backrooms have been able to gather such as the M.E.G. and B.N.T.G. there has been nothing out-of-the-ordinary about the ballpit and is completely safe to be in.
The Staff room
The Staff room is currently the only confirmed  exit of this Level besides the tubes.. It is a metal door with a push-handle with a “Staff Only” sign roughly at eye-level. Inside this room is another door where the janitor’s closet is located. Sometimes the janitor’s closet will lead to an office building located in Level 11.
The Entrance
The Entrance is located just outside of the daycare, visible from the inside and closed off by an indestructible glass wall almost reaching up to the daycare’s ceiling. Numerous cafeteria-style tables and chairs line up against the outer walls of the daycare, having a grayish color with a green highlight.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
There’s a chance a rainbow patterned slide in Level 283 can lead you to this Level, spitting you out in a ballpit where explorers have reported being greeted by the Sun Man.
Exits
The janitor’s closet within the staff room either leading to Level 11
On rare instances is it theorized if this door can lead travelers to Level “!” aka “Run for your Life”.
Entities
So far there is only one known entity in this Level, but this is still up for debate as it seems to have different “modes” with different rulesets; “The Daycare Attendant”. This entity is 3m (10ft) tall and is incredibly lanky, limbs being no thicker than broomsticks.
Tumblr media
In the two standard forms the face has big glowing white eyes and no mouth. The torso’s anatomy is roughly comparable to that of an ant due to the ball-like chest and hip region with a thin middle and puffy shoulder joints. The chestpiece has a half-transparent star which emits a glow similar to the eyes. The thin middle consists of two connecting segments being held together by a joint with a star imprint, also emitting a soft glow. They wear a transparent set of shorts resembling the puffy shorts medieval jesters wore reaching roughly the middle of the thighs. They have ruffles on their neck and feet and have long ribbons with two bells wrapped around each wrist.
The Sun Man
The Sun Man is the Playtime-mode for the Daycare Attendant and is generally passive as long as you remain behaved. He walks around and cleans/picks up the play area of the daycare and will occasionally check up on the travelers. He reacts positively to gifts ranging from drawings to crafts to supplies. He has 7 sharp and pointy rays on his head
When a traveler tries to leave the daycare the Sun Man’s focus shifts immediately and he darts to the entrance doors, quickly retrieving the “escapees”; he will become more aggressive with each attempt, like a tally on each visitor.
When he gets aggressive, the 3rd mode is activated; “The Dark Sun”.
The Moon Man
The Moon Man is the Nighttime-mode for the Daycare Attendant and is generally aggressive or short-tempered. He walks around similar to the Sun Man, although he slouches more and moves in a more sporadic manner. He is very strict about Naptime, killing anyone on sight he deems as a “rule breaker”. He gets aggressive when you try to enter the play structures, although he doesn’t mind the ballpit as long as you stay quiet. He’s easily monitorable even when out of sight due to the bell that drags along the floor from his long hat. It is unknown if the 3rd mode can be activated while the lights are off.
The Dark Sun
The Dark Sun is the 3rd mode of the Daycare Attendant and is very aggressive towards travelers. The activation of this mode should be avoided at ALL COSTS! The appearance of this mode is an uncanny mash-up of both modes, but more sinister and having a dark color palette, like lava or a burning forest. They are very agile and will not calm down until they deem the rulebreaker(s) deceased and anyone unfortunate enough to run into him, despite “behaving”. Your best bet is to hide in the play structures and stay quiet.

Special
TW: This gets a bit heavy in the first half! Lots of angst! @afloofwithmultipleinterests helped me with a tease uwu
Summary:
Moon’s having thoughts about himself. Does he really matter? Is he special? Why do people prefer Sun over him? As he sits alone in the dark with nothing but his thoughts, Ana comes to find him and talk to him. To help her pup’s mind out of the dark.
Silence. Darkness.
Not a single noise disrupted this night.
One would almost consider it peaceful. But Moondrop considered it…lonely. Silence could be deafening. Moon’s mind was pounding.
He sat on the back of a bunny cart, the carousel absolutely still for the night. Not broken, it was just fixed.
Moon had come out to the daycare playground. The carousel was the main attraction, which made everyone want to visit.
Moon wanted to sit and stare at the stars. It was the only time and only way he would be able to. But it was a cloudy night, the stars and the actual moon were hidden behind them.
Moon sighed and raised his arms behind his head, trying to ignore the inner voice berating him in his head. But it just seemed to get louder and louder the longer the silence went on.
Sitting out here when you have patrols.
It’s the only thing you can do right and here you are! Staff is right, you are useless.
Can’t even do naptime right. Look at yourself! What kind of caretaker looks like THIS?! Moon flinched, his hand going up to his faceplate to feel it. The wide smile on his face, sharp shark like teeth, he could see the light from his red eyes glowing against his arm. Moon growled a bit and pulled his nightcap over his face.
Oh yes! Growling like that is perfect…for scaring the kids, for making them hate you. For making them run straight to Sun.
What good are you?! You can’t protect anyone, you can’t keep anyone safe, look how easily you were infected by that DAMN virus! Everyone either thinks you’re creepy or dangerous. You. Are. Nothing.
Moon curled up on the bunny cart, bringing his knees up to his chest and hiding his face in his arms.
“Moonberry?” Moon flinched at the voice calling his nickname. He peeked over his arms, seeing the familiar sea green eyes of his mother glowing slightly in the dark. She couldn’t fit inside to get to him, but her long neck snaked past a few bars and characters to get as close as possible. “Whatcha doin out here by yerself?” Ana asked, gently tilting her head. Moon was quiet for a moment. He swallowed down the imaginary lump in his imaginary throat.
“I just…needed to be alone for a bit…”
“...Do you still want to be alone..?” Ana asked carefully. Moon looked off to the side. After a moment, he shook his head, face still buried in his arms. “Think you can come a lil closer then..?”
Moon nodded and then slowly slid off where he was seated and moved to a chicken cart closer to his mom. Ana watched him as he went into his previous position. Her ears lowered in worry. “Alright…what’s wrong Moonberry?” “....” Moon sighed again. “I’m useless…”
Ana blinked, taken back by that. “What? Where did that thought come from?”
Moon gave a shrug. “Moon…” the dragon hound gently warned. “Come on, you can tell me anything…”
The starry daycare attendant quickly wiped the tears he felt threatening to spill. Unlike Sunny who would cry when he was alone, Moon didn’t cry at all. He tried not to. Monsters didn’t cry…right? “Everyone just sees me as a monster. The kids are scared of me, the staff thinks I’m dangerous. I’m just…I’m so tired of it…”
Ana lowered her ears. That had seemed to hit her pretty hard as well. Moon continued on.
“On top of that I just…I don’t think I can really do anything around here. I was supposed to be a protector and a caretaker, but once I got infected I…I couldn’t even do that…so many kids lost and it was all MY fault! I let Carlyle down!”
“...Moon-”
“Maybe Sun would be better off without me…” “Now you stop that right there, mister!”
Moon jolted a bit at the sudden firmness to Ana’s voice. “I ain’t gonna have that. You know just as well as I do, Sun would be devastated without you. And so would I.”
“...But I’m just a monster…” Ana shook her head, using her paw to lift Moon’s head toward her gently. “No, yer my Moonberry. Yer Sunny’s brother and best friend. You may act like a mischievous lil gremlin but ya ain’t a monster hun.”
Moon averted his gaze. He knew she was trying to help but…it was hard to believe her words. Ana sighed, seeing her affirmations weren’t working too well…
“Moon, sugarstar, I know it hurts…but I also know you. You are a protector. You do yer absolute best to make sure Sun feels safe and happy. Just as you do with everyone.” “But…but all those kids…” “It wasn’t yer fault. It never was. You had no control, remember? You weren’t yerself and I know it didn’t leave you yerself…you had no control of that glitch honey…” “But… the staff…” “Know literally nothing. Not the Moon I know. Not the Moon who I’ve seen do anything for those he cares about.” Moon stared at his mother. He held her paw against his faceplate. She waited for him to say something but he was quiet. So she went on, all while gently stroking his cheek with a finger. “Moon…Do you remember the day we met?” Moon froze a moment and looked up at her in question. He wasn’t sure where she was going with that but…his curiosity peaked. “Y-yes…It was after I chased Marie when I thought she stole some kids…I found you two under the pizzaplex, hiding and just…trying to eat and survive.” Ana nodded. “And do you remember what you did? Every day during yerr patrols?” “...I brought you leftovers from the concession stands and snacks that Sun made for you…just so you had something, anything to eat.” “Exactly. Would a monster do that?” Moon’s eyes widened. He looked down…and shook his head. “You not only did that, but you kept us a secret. As best as you could at least, until Sunny found out later.” She chuckled lightly. “You didn’t have to do any of that. You were mine and Marie’s savior for a while…You boys are definitely my savior.” “Huh…?” The night time animatronic questioned, looking back up at her. “What…What do you mean?” Ana smiled at him, lowering her head to lightly bonk foreheads with him. “Before I met you boys, I was a very bitter person. I wasn’t happy when I was human. I lost my life to those men and…that angel turned me into this all because I said I hated my kind. Once Najada found me and I became friends with Marie…I was appreciative, sure. But you saw how I was when you came down that vent…” “Hehehe…” Moon chuckled, looking down. “Yeah…you took months to open up…” “And I wish I had a lot sooner.” Ana chuffed, booping noses with him. “But when I finally got to know you boys, and I adopted you, every moment I’ve spent with you has been the best moments of my life, between both of them, I wouldn’t give up what I have now for the world. And that’s after being treated like a monster, being labeled a beast of wrath and vengeance.” “You’re not any of that though! You’re sweet and kind and strong, you keep us safe and happy and-” “Yer the same way.”
Moon stopped at the interruption, he looked up at his smirking mother and squinted at her. “...You told me that so you could turn compliments on me huh?” “See? Yer so clever you figured that out right quick!” Moon snorted, chuckling as Ana licked his faceplate. He gently pushed her muzzle away.
“I’m serious though, I’m better because of you and Sun. You boys pulled my heart out of the cold and dark. I think that’s pretty special.” Moon smiled at that, hugging his mother’s face as they touched foreheads again. He still felt something eating at him. “But Sun…”
“Hm?”
“Everyone likes Sun so much better and I…” Moon felt horrible for saying it. “...Are you jealous…?” Ana asked gently.
Moon’s breath hitched as the tears finally fell. He hiccuped and sobbed softly, not looking at Ana. The dragon lowered her ears, she sat up on her haunches and gently scooped Moon into her arms and held him close to her chest. Moon buried his face into her fur, sobbing against her. “I-I’m sorry…! I don’t mean to feel this way but I can’t help it…! Everyone praises Sun! Staff doesn’t like either of us but-but they still prefer him over me! They’re all so scared of me! What makes him so special?! What makes ME special?!” Ana’s eyes softened on her pup and his angry hurt words. She hummed. “What makes you special? I could make a list millions of miles long…and it still wouldn’t be enough to describe everything I love about you, Moonberry…” Moon sniffed, pulling away to wipe his eyes. “You-you’re just saying that cause you can’t actually think of anything…” Ana raised a brow at him and smirked. “Actually I was trying to spare you but if you really want me to start listing things off…” she moved him in her arms and cradled him, starting to kiss and lick his face as she spoke. “Yer sweet.” A kiss. “Yer clever.” A lick. “Yer able to stay calm in intense situations.” A nuzzle to the nose. “Quick on yer feet, more flexible than a rubber hose, and don’t think I haven’t seen you dancing on yer wire. Yer damn good at that.” She attacked his cheek with a barrage of kisses, hamming up a few “Mwah!”s
Moon couldn’t stop the giggles that bubbled up out of his voice box.
“Maaaahahahaaam!”
“Ohhh that’s right! The lil rasp to your voice and giggles just makes you sound extra cute and bringin em out just makes you so much more adorable~!” Ana cooed, nuzzling his cheek now. Moon giggled more, feeling her whiskers teasing his crescent.
“Okahahay! Mahahahaaaam! I gehehet ihihit!”
Ana chuckled as he placed his hands on her muzzle but didn’t even try to really push her away.
“What? But I haven’t even scratched the surface!”
Moon snickered, hugging her muzzle. The love from his mother started to warm him up…At least a little. As he rubbed under his mother’s chin, he sighed.
“I still feel bad for being jealous of Sun…”
Ana hummed with a nod. “Well sugarstar, maybe that’s something you both need to sit down and talk about.” Moon nodded sadly. “I know…I’m just…scared…”
Ana flicked her ears back, tilting her head lightly. “Has he heard any of this?” Moon shook his head. “No…I’ve blocked him from hearing or seeing anything for now. Pretty sure he’s still sound asleep…I didn’t want to hurt him or scare him…I wish it was easier to tell him but…”
“Scared of his reaction?” Ana asked gently, earning a nod from Moon. “Well, I know it’s a real fear, hun, but…Sun loves you. Yer best friends, twins, a team. Ain’t a thing that can truly come between you two. You just need to talk. Both of ya…yer yin and yang. One can’t be without the other.” “...Will you be there?”
Ana lowered her ears a bit. “I can be nearby…but don’t think I can do much else while y’all are talkin to each other in yer head.” Moon sighed and nodded. He knew she was right. He just wished this was easier.  “Okay…Thanks mom.”
“Anytime honey. Do you wanna head back?” Moon looked up at her then lowered his gaze, he cuddled into her fur and nodded. “I guess so…” Ana firmed her lips as she moved Moon to sit on her back. “Tell you what, let’s get back to the loft and then, we’ll put a smile back on that handsome face of yers.”
Moon snorted lightly at the comment. His mother being a mother…it still got to him. “Sure mom…” he agreed, not quite catching onto her plan.
Ana hadn’t wasted a moment. She carried Moon back to the daycare. As she moved closer to the ballpit, she turned her head to look over her shoulder. “Hang on tight, sugastar.” Moon nodded, gripping onto her mane as she crouched down like a cat preparing a pounce. Then she leaped up into the air and onto the balcony, tail dangling off of it as she ducked her head and strolled the rest of the way in. The dragon proceeded to fix up the little nest she had of blankets and pillows and an old small air mattress Marie had dragged in so the boys would have somewhat of a bed. Sun patched it up, and they were surprised yet glad to see the pump still worked.
Ana hummed at the nest in approval, she looked to the arcade machine in the corner and rubbed her head against it as if to greet it before moving her neck to pick Moon up in her jaws by his middle. She went to place him on the nest but held him over it for a moment. Moon blinked and turned his head to look up at his mother. “Mom-?ACK!” She gently dropped him safely into the nest, the extra padding keeping the bot from making much of a thud or harming him. He couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Hehehey!” Ana chuckled, plopping herself down beside him. “There’s a bit of a laugh. Let’s see if we can keep it going.” Moon stiffened at those words. Keep it going…? Uh oh. “Wh-wh-what do you mean?” Moon asked nervously, watching his mother’s arms move to either side of him.
“Oh as if you don’t know~” Ana cooed. “How do I always cheer up my boys?” The nap attendant gulped, more nervous giggles bubbling out of him. “M-mahaham, come ahahan!” “What is it, Moonberry? Yer gonna tell me you don’t want it?” Moon shifted his eyes back and forth, he whined and pulled his cap down over his face. “That’s not faaaair!” Ana chuckled, lowering her head to nuzzle the pointy nose still poking out. “Does my Moonpie want tickles or not~” She got another whine. “Mmmm…please…”
Ana hummed a chuckle as she made sure he was comfortable. Moon giggled from anticipation alone.
“So giggly already, my sweet lil Moonberry loves this game huh?”
“Shhuhuhuhut uhup! Dohohon’t tehehease!”
“I’m not doing anything gigglebot~!”
But she was and she knew it. Sun loved when she got silly, playful, whenever tickles were made into a game. Moon? Moon loved when someone got him going with a stream of sweet teases, kind words and affirmations. Paired with actual tickles, it was the perfect way to melt the seemingly stoic night time animatronic.
Moon snickered, kicking his feet and hiding his face so she couldn’t see the purple glow that dusted his cheeks. Though that didn’t mean she didn’t know it was there.
Ana then proceeded to gently wiggle her fingers against Moon’s sides. The nap attendant immediately squawked and squirmed.
“Kkhkhkhkhkh! Mahahahahaaam! No! Nonohohohoho! Nohoho fahahair!”
“Yer the one leaving yerself open, sugastar!”
She trailed her paws upward toward his arms.
“W-wahahait! What are-ahare you DOHOHOHOING?! GYEEEHEHEHEEE! N-nahahat thehehehere!!”
Ana chuckled as she teased the ball joints and wires that poked out from under his arms. Moon tried to lock his arms down on reflex but Ana’s paws weren’t budging.
“Tiiiickle tickle tickle~” Ana purred. “My sweet giggly lil bat~”
“Pfft! I-ihihi’m nyaahahaat a bahahaat!”
“Really? Are you sure? Yer as squeaky as a bat. I’ve seen ya hanging upside down like one. You love the night, and I know I’ve watched you eat a bug like it was a piece of chocolate.”
Moon shook his head. “N-nyooohohoho…”
He finally peeked out from under his hat. Only to see his momma lift his left arm and nuzzle the paneling under his upper arm. Moon screeched and cackled. He twisted his body a bit and kicked his legs.
“That sounds like a bat screeching to me, sugar.” Ana teased, releasing his arm and letting him lock them down and hug himself around his chest.
“Srnkhkhkhkh…you…you buhuhuhully.” Moon giggled, his smile only growing goofier as Ana cupped his cheeks. She kissed his nose and trailed one finger along his chin, the bottom of the crescent and booping a couple craters. Moon let out a barrage of squeaks and giggles with a few loud squawks here and there when her claw wiggled in a crater.
“Listen to you~! My big bad night guardian squeaking like the cutest lil bat in the starry sky~!” Moon giggle-whined, trying his best not to curl up. His family knew how to make him feel small, precious, special…they were able to melt away any bad thoughts and let him know just how good he was. “M-mahahamahahaaa!” “Yes Moonberry?” “Khkhkhkheehehehee! S-Sohohohomewhere ehehehelse!”
Ana smiled down at him as she pulled her paws away. She easily recognized that as a plea for more tickles. She knew her boys after all.
“Alright hun, where next?” Moon whined. “Dohohon’t make me sahahay!” Ana laughed a bit. “Alright alright, I won’t. How about…” She rested her paw over his belly. “This a good spot?”
Moon flinched, squeaky raspy giggles flooding out of him. He nodded quickly, twitching underneath his mother’s paw. “Ready?” “Nyooohohohoo…?” “No? So I absolutely shouldn’t do this, yea?” She wriggled her claws lightly. Moon let out a yip and broke into laughter, wiggling under the claws which only seemed to help the tickles. Ana laughed with him, more than happy to see her quieter pup having so much fun. “Geez Moonie, I don’t have to do anything do I? I can just keep my claws curled like this and yer squirming will tickle you enough huh?”
“I-I cahahahan’t hehelp ihihit! Gyah! Mahahaham! Tstststststsss!” Moon hissed through his teeth, the sprinkler laugh only getting Ana to join him again in the joyful laughter. “Well how about I try this?” She asked, taking both her paws and gently scritching at his lower belly on either side. Moon sputtered, throwing his head back to release a loud squeal followed by cackling. He kicked his legs, hands on his mother’s paws though making no effort to push them away.
“AAAHAHAHAHAAA MAAAHAHAHAHAAAAM OHOHOHO NYAAAHAHAHAHAAOOO!! THAHAHATS SOHOHO BAHAHAAAAD!” “Is it? Funny, yer not really trying to stop me, Moonberry.” She smirked at him. She let out a playful gasp. “Oooh! Are you having fun~?” “SHUHUHUHUUUSHSHSHSHSHSHH!!” Moon reached right back up to pull his hat back up over his head. Ana hummed a chuckle. She kept one paw crawling and skittering like a spider around his belly, leaving Moon a giggling mess. “Tickle tickle little star~” Moon flinched when he recognized that tune. “W-Wahahait! Mom! Mahaham dohohohon’t!” Ana grinned at him. One thing neither of her boys could stand were the nursery rhymes. Ironic for some daycare attendants eh? “Moooon~ It’s rude to interrupt, baby. Let me try that again. Ahem..
Tickle tickle little star~
How I wonder where yer giggles are
Up yer sides, across yer ribs,
Up yer belly, and top yer shins
Tickle tickle little star,
I know where yer giggles are~” Moon squealed and cackled, pulling himself in a sitting position and flopping back down. He curled onto his side hugging himself as Ana pulled her paws away to let him take a moment to calm down. “You okay Moonberry?” Moon nodded, still giggling. “You-Yohohou are sohohoho mehehehean…” Ana chuckled, leaning her head down to nuzzle his cheek. “Sorry honey, do you want me to stop? Didn’t know that would get you so bad.” Moon peaked up at her and shook his head. “N-No…” Ana smiled in amusement, brow raised at her baby. “No? You boys are such gluttons ya know that?” Moon huffed. “Am not…” “Whatever you say, sugarstar~” Ana chuffed, nuzzling his belly, right over the dent. Moon squeaked, melting into more giggles as he sat up again and hugged his mother’s face.
“This lil dent gets you boys so bad huh?” “Snrkhkhkhkh! M-Mahahahaybehehe…” the night animatronic tittered. Ana smirked and flicked her tongue out just as a snake would. Moon let out a squeal, kicking his legs and pushing at her nose. “Pffftheheheheheee! Khkhkheheh, thahahat’s cheheheatihihihing!”
Ana chuckled lovingly, letting him release her as he laid back down. “Want me to try the same thing I did with Sunny?” She asked. Moon looked off to the side in thought and nodded shyly. He kicked off his slippers, watching her fluffy tail snake around and coil around his ankles. Moon squeaked and scrunched his toes. The anticipation was bubbling in his belly. “Nervous Moonberry?” “A-A little…” Moon admitted, never taking his eyes off that fluffy tip. He knew how Sun reacted. Moon’s feet were just as bad if not worse. “You know what to do if it gets too much.” Ana assured, kissing above his nose and between his eyes. Moon nodded and took a breath. “I’m ready…” Ana nodded, dusting her tail over the bottoms. Moon yipped and immediately tried to yank his feet back. “WAIT WAIT WAHAHAHAHAIT!! GYAHAHAHAHAHAHKHKHKHKHKHHHH MAHAHAHAAAAM!!” He tried to kick his legs out but Ana had him in a good hold while the fluff danced over his blue starry sparkle paw pads. He turned his torso to hug a pillow and laugh into it. Ana chuckled with him. “Alright honey…get ready!” She flossed the fur through his toes, catching Moon entirely off guard despite the warning. “NYAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! OHOHOHO MY GAHAHAHAHAAASH! NONONOOOHOHOHOOO THAHAHATS AHAHAHAHAHAWFUHUHUHUHUUUL!! GYAHAHAHAHAHEEHEHEHEHEEE!” Ana shook her head with a smile at her pup cackling his head off. She kept it up though, despite how much he squirmed and screamed. He still hadn’t given the sign to stop. Just as she had done to Sun, she released his ankles and skittered her claws gently across the pads and little toe beans. Moon squawked loud enough to put a screaming seagull to shame. He let go of the pillow he hugged onto and wrapped his arms around himself. “MAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAM!! PFFTKHKHKHKHKHEEEHEHEHEHE! YOUR-YOUR CLAHAHAHAHAHAHAAWS! EEEEEHEHEHEHEEE!! NYAHAHAHAHAHAOOOO!” She started scratching between his toes and finally, Moon fully broke. “BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!! NONONONONO!! NYAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAOOOO!! OKOKOKOKAHAHAHAHAY!! RED! REHEHED MAHAHAM REHEHEHEHEHEEEED!” And just like that, it ended. Moon gulped down breath after breath, even if he technically didn’t need it. His giggles slowly died back down until he was simply making happy tired murps. His fans turned on high making it sound like he was purring, especially as Ana gathered her sprawled out pup and held him to her. “Better Moonpie?” “B-behehetter…hehehe…l-lohohove you mahahamahaha..” “I love you too, sugarstar.” She smiled, licking his nose. She gathered a few blankets, wrapping them around him like a cocoon. Moon nuzzled into the coziness. “Moondrop.” “Yea mom..?” Moon yawned. “You know yer my special lil moonberry yea?” Moon blinked and looked up at her. “And you know nothing would ever change that?” Moon felt himself tremble from her words. He giggled a little, he wasn’t sure if it was phantom tickles or if he was just…really happy and comfy. “I do…but, I think I need to be reminded sometimes…” Ana hummed and nodded. “I would be more than happy to do that…and I’m sure Sun would be happy to remind you how much you mean to him.” Moon snickered. He laid his head back down, he and Sun would certainly have to talk later…a lot happened tonight. But for now, Moon was tired. Soon the lights would come on and Sun would be out. He yawned again. “Mom..?” “Yes hun?” “Stay with me?” Ana softened her eyes on him. She curled her body around the both of them. “I wouldn’t leave you for anything in the world…either of you.”
Moon smiled at her promise and finally, he felt safe enough to doze off and rest. He had everything he ever needed…

I'm pretty sure that Eclipse is the daycare attendants safemode? Like
In the main security breach game, Freddy is on safe mode and that's why he's not infected by the burntrap virus like everyone else,
So the daycare attendant gets infected, and therefore their safemode is unreachable,
The safemode being eclipse makes a lot of sense because eclipse seems to be a more balanced character between sunny and moon,
Moon exists to help the kids sleep during naptime N stuff, sunny is for awake time fun, but in the event of an emergency, or even just mild accidents, injury or what have you, neither of them seem equipped to deal with it,
as evidenced by how sunny behaves in security breach with Gregory, never actually harming him but not helping him either
Instead, when something goes wrong, sunny and moon combine into Eclipse, the soft spoken, gentle, lower energy attendant, who keeps everyone calm and safe and makes sure they get back to their parents (but quite possibly still can't leave the daycare outside of emergencies involving danger within the daycare itself, since he just dropped Cassie gently outside I presume he's set to do that so that one of the security guards, bots, or another animatronic can collect her and take her to her parents, while he reverts back into sun or moon and continues working)
It also makes a ton of sense to have a reboot automatically restart the animatronic on safemode, considering how big these things are, how much more powerful they are than a human, if they're recalibrating then they're unlikely to be able to accurately control their strength, unless they start on a preselected controlled program that prohibits them from doing certain things
Anyway I just finished marks daycare part of the ruin playthrough so I had some thoughts

i hate to be the one to say it, but... DCA sans Au. Red is the daytime protocol, Sans is nighttime, and Skull is what happens when Eclipse comes out. im sorry but i had to think it and now so do you
cringe culture is dead, on god, i will make what i want.
For those not in the know, the DA (daycare attendant) is a robot in FNAF Security Breach that takes care of kids. The bot has multiple personalities inside it- one for the day, one for the night, and a third Spooky Mode that we all want to kiss
Mc would be an assistant, hired to help the DA manage his responsibilities... especially since he’s recently been exhibiting some slightly worrying quirks.
Red (sun): Red is the daytime personality. You can tell its him when the eyelights are red. He’s the fun one, the one with the smiles and personality to keep the children engaged all day, the one with the energy to play for hours and the attention to make sure everyone’s safe. He’s generally charming enough to make parents feel alright handing over their kids despite the company’s strained history with childcare, but on top of everything he comes with top-of-the-range security features.
He and Mc get along like a house on fire. Usually the daycare assistants are annoying and obviously would rather be anywhere else, but she clearly cares about the kids as much as he does, and he likes how her presence adds to the atmosphere. Something Mc wasn’t expecting is Red is quite... different when the children are gone- as soon as the daycare closes, he has no need to inhibit his language or behaviour anymore. He can have fun catching her off guard with his touchy, almost inappropriate flirting.
(A small quirk- he can’t swear during daycare hours, but he certainly tries. The words come out automatically censored, so if Mc hears him yell “FUDGE!” after dropping a box on his foot she knows what he meant.)
Sans (moon): A slightly more softspoken personality that only comes out when the lights are off, in charge of sleepovers and naptime. He’s around when the robot eyelights are a gentle blue. ‘Mischievous’ is an understatement, he’s an absolute menace to staff, regularly stealing from and mocking anyone who gets in his line of sight or on his nerve. Sometimes he’s difficult to understand, he doesn’t like talking to adults and has a very short temper with them- he can get surprisingly violent with human staff if they aggravate him. But he always, always remains gentle and caring with the children. He’s best with small kids and babies, they seem to adore him, and it’s not unusual to see him moving around the darkened play area in set loops to rock a child tucked in his arms to sleep. The kids affectionately call him ‘blue’.
At first, he was just as much of a nuisance to Mc as he had been to all other previous daycare assistants. He steals anything she has on hand, makes fun of her, knocks things off her desk, etc etc. But over time, it becomes clear he’s not doing it to be malicious- it’s because he wants her attention. He’s jealous of the amount of time she spends with Red and wants her eyes on him.
Skull (eclipse): A hidden, third personality, powerful and always present but deeply unstable and actively restrained by both Red and Sans. He rarely ever gets out, and he doesn’t often try to be in control anymore, accustomed to being held down by the other two. He gets quiet during daycare hours, when the kids are around... he’s content to just watch them play, soothed by the sounds of tiny laughter.
... But when the daycare is closed, he becomes harder to restrain. And he gets even more erratic when emotions run particularly high... for example, perhaps he’s instantly fallen in love with the cute new daycare assistant, and when Red flirts with/gets very close to her, Skull gets excited and wants a turn to touch. Perhaps he gets angry at Sans for upsetting her, and his frustration surges through before Red or Sans can stop him, managing to blurt out a furious “stop talking!” before being wrangled away from the wheel again.
On the rare occasion when he’s in control, he has four arms and one bright purple eyelight, plus a noticeable size boost. He moves and talks slowly, half his focus is always on keeping the other two from regaining control. But the damage he can do while he’s got the reigns can’t be understated.
... It’s been a long time since he was in control. Red and Sans don’t trust him to be free. Not after what happened.

Want something in between squishy soft HD and TL whump rn so here we go with some clone au shenanigans. Anyway, for shits and giggles, Moon gets to join security patrol at night before he's infected cause why not? He gets so little as the naptime attendant.
The first time you meet Moon it's because you managed to get locked inside the pizzaplex after hours. It takes you a minute to process that you're locked in, sort of blankly staring at the metal shutters keeping you inside.
"It's past your naptime," a voice says from behind you in a low, almost hissing manner, and you jump, lashing out with one of your crutches reflexively. Honestly, it'd be more accurate to say you lashed out with your arm, and the crutch just followed, attached as it was to said arm. Either way, it hit your target with a jarring metallic thunk that vibrated all the way up to your shoulder and teeth, rattling you.
Meanwhile, your would-be assaulter swings back and forth on its wire, dramatically holding its chest. "I've been had!" He drops to the ground, clearly "dying" from the blow.
You scowl when you recognize Moon from its posters, leaning on your other crutch. When you make no effort to respond to his theater, he sits up, watching you with mismatched eyes. "You shouldn't be here."
You just stare. You know this already, so what's the point of it telling you?
"You're the one that doesn't speak." Moon leans forward, over you, menacing in its height. You stare up at it blankly before using a crutch to push it back. You're not gentle. Moon rolls away, tucking into a ball instead of giving a proper backflip. It still pops up dramatically, like a gymnast giving their final bow, and you roll your eyes.
The Daycare Attendant is a jester. You really shouldn't be surprised by the dramatics. You just don't think it would be particularly amused if it knew the last time you actually laughed.
"You are skilled with your sword," Moon says, its tone teasing as it inches closer, safely out of range. "I'll need maintenance soon if you don't leave."
You gesture at the shuttered doors in irritated response. It's not like you want to be standing here being semi-lectured by a robotic nanny. You're tired and confused and your feet hurt and you are pretty sure you missed the bus that usually picks you up to go home. You're going to have to email them and it took forever to get an email back because it's a publicly funded service and meanwhile Uber and Lyft are so expensive so what money you earn will be gone so, so quickly.
"Hey." A metallic finger brushes over your cheek and you jump, landing badly and falling directly on your ass. Now everything hurts, and you let out a choked breath, unstrapping one crutch to wipe hard at your eyes.
Moon crouches, a hand out but not touching. You lean away, and its hand drops. "You need rest. A drink. There is tea in the employee break room."
Tea? You wipe your eyes again, not even trying to move. It would be useless until your nerves calm a bit and you can try to ease the tension in your muscles. It's the stress making you hurt, you tell yourself. Just the stress, nothing more.
"Let's get you tea." And it moves in before you have a chance to defend yourself, scooping you up with ease. You grab at it's shoulder, fingers failing to find a grip as it walks with a long, surprisingly smooth gait to the atrium. You grab at its collar but are still ignored.
Finally, you get the idea to tug on Moon's nightcap. The tail of it swing around behind, and you figured it would work like Sun's rays, jerking Moon's head back so you couldn't be ignored any longer. Instead it just. Came off. Like a hat. Leaving Moon bald.
You were so surprised you actually dropped it and stared over Moon's shoulder at the abandoned crutch and hat. A trail of items like Hansel and Gretel's bread crumbs. Did that make Moon the witch, and the tea its gingerbread house?
Moon continued on, oblivious to the loss of its hat, and you finally just go with it. You could probably limp your way back to your crutch later, after whatever adventure you were being kidnapped to do. Moon continues right on past the glamrocks' dressing rooms, utterly ignored by the bandmates.
The attendant looks so different from the others. Was it even meant to be here?
The final goal, apparently, is a small lounge you'd never seen. Moon puts you down gently enoufh, but even that jostles you and you grimace, resettling on this overly plush, threadbare, ugly orange couch tucked by the vending machines. Moon is working, poking around the cabinets as it hums a lullaby, then a song you don't recognize. You're not going anywhere soon, so you slowly unstrap your remaining crutch from your arm, still holding the handle just in case.
Moon found a box and mug, its song punctuated with pleased delight. Apparently the water cooler was also a heater, and the animatronic's attention was fully back on you. "Drink this."
You breathe heavily through your nose in response, but you do take the mug. It's warm. And the tea does smell good. Mint and something else. You don't know much about tea. You take a sip, scalding your lips and tongue. The burning liquid feels good though, warming you even if it doesn't ease the stress holding you stuff. You take another sip, watching Moon over the lip of the mug.
Is it aware of how silly it looks without its hat? It squats a safe distance away, watching you, its flat face slowly rotating like a clock. Before it could get a full 90 degrees it paused and began to rotate the other way. Was it… thinking? Processing?
Either way, it felt weird to be sitting while it squatted like that. Maybe you were anthropomorphizing it too much, but you pat at the seat next to you. When it doesn't move, even its head slowing its rotation, you pat the seat harder. "You are sure? I don't wish to incur the wrath of your blade again."
The fact it still is playing the villain in some knight story? Whatever. You roll your eyes and nod, returning to the tea. It's kinda nice. You can almost (almost) forget what a pain it's gonna be to get home.
Moon does sit, surprisingly careful so you don't immediately roll into his space. He's still heavy, so you're drawn in regardless, trying not to spill your tea. You keep drinking, the silence only punctuated by the humming of the fridge and water cooler. If you focus on that and the warmth of your tea… you're starting to drift off.
Wait. This had been a trick! You try to glare at Moon, but all you can manage is a yawn.
Moon, for its part, is grinning down at you. Like, beyond its usual frozen smile type of grinning. "You've figured it out, haven't you?" He teaches past you, snagging your crutch. You try to protest, but it's faster, and it sets it just out of reach. "Nap time. You need rest."
Like you weren't going to sleep when you got home. And your painkillers are there too!" You've definitely been kidnapped. But it's not an especially cruel kidnapping. Minus when you wake up.
"Sleep," Moon says and you're not sure you will truly, but you will rest, and you will make fun of how he looks without his hat later. For now you'll sleep and worry about the rest later.
---
@pillowspace I feel like a cat bringing you my latest catch with pride. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I hope to keep writing well. v.v

Theatre AU I'm tentatively calling Break A Leg!
In light of the recent info on how they used to be a theatre bot, this is a "what if the switch to daycare workers REALLY didn't work out" AU
So the boys' theatre was a popular attraction for both kids and adults. But eventually, the novelty of acting animatronics wore off and their shows got less popular, so management decided to take back the theater and make it into the glamrocks' new stage.
The plan was to repurpose the boys as daycare bots, but management didn't even have them reprogrammed before chucking them in the daycare, so of COURSE it was a disaster! Both boys had never interacted with humans directly, and their only point of reference was to treat this as yet another role, they don't know how to be their own people (yet) (Moon: So I'm the Naptime Attendant??.... And I always play a villain. So evil naptime attendant. Got it! >: ) ) Thinking of Moon ending up being too in character and rough and breaking someone's leg (hence the title djdj)
So the boys got shut down and put into storage (and mayhaps forgotten) for a while
Until an unwitting and expendable intern named y/n is hired to clean out/take inventory of the storage in parts and services, finds them, and accidently reactivates them.
Specifically, Moon.
They manage to survive the encounter by being an experienced dnd/LARP nerd (jdhsdj), because they use that to rule-lawyer and improv the scene to their advantage, and survive intact!
And management is like "Oh shit, we can make money out of this!!" And so the intern is tasked with rehabilitating them both to be safe enough around humans, and especially more kid friendly, and if they succeed, the boys will take over comedybot's theatre and do kids' shows, with them as their handler. Y/N only has until the end of their internship to accomplish this though, with a job and the boys' lives on the line!
So that's the mise en scène cjdnd
(yay 3am sketches)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their main problem right now is they don't know how to interact with humans! They were always on stage, or rehearsing (alone together) in their 'lodge', so they're in character 100% of the time
For Sun, that means projecting his voice and over-acting every single movement and emotion so it can be read from afar... Which is not ideal when it's just you two and he's within arm's reach. The only quiet persona he knows are the less confident, nervous support roles
As for Moon, well, he only knows how to terrify. And it doesn't help that management gave them STAFF bots as co-stars and props, and encouraged their destruction for the thrill and realism of a scene. He does still have the whole hook and cable system! But he wasn't security: he used it to rig the lights, speakers, moving props, etc on the grid above the stage. And for special effects like flying et on stage, of course!
----
Their costume change was part of the act --Every one of their costume has a reversible outer layer, so when they switch out, the pants change colors (you don't want them to take them off on stage..) And they spin their faceplate as it transforms while they take off their jacket/cloak/whatever, turns it over, and put it back on in one transformation
They would also sing duets by stepping in and out of a spotlight and mostly just transforming their faceplate, usually taking advantage of the clothes' inner lining to display one side/color or another
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, though, they haven't been maintained in years, and so their colors are faded since they're meant to be retouched for every role, their pupils are missing, their favorite jacket is missing, and the gears in their faceplate that spun so smoothly is gunked up with debris, grinding clunkily

Headcanons for how Sun and Moon passively show that they're in love with you:
Sun
Sun would hover around you all time. He already does this with most things, but instead of it being anxiety fueled, with you, it seems to be for the exact opposite reason. Like being around you is like being in the presence of the real sun, and he just wants to bask in it.
He'd touch you innocently whenever he can find an opportunity to do so. Every day you come in for your Daycare shift he gives you a big long hug without fail. If you're helping him clean up at the end of the day his hands will brush yours at least a dozen times. If you need to get something from a supply closet he'll insist on holding your hand as the two of you walk to it no matter how short the distance is.
He compliments you more. He loves how nice you are with the children and how kindly you handle them even when they're at their worst. He loves your smile, your laugh, and the color of your eyes, and he'll randomly mention how much he loves any one of these out loud without realizing it. To the point that you wonder how much time he spends thinking about you.
He'll unintentionally get frustrated with other staff in the Daycare when they don't handle or do things the way you do. Because the way you do things is always the best in his eyes, and he doesn't understand why other staff don't see it that way.
He'll get very invested in your hobbies, whether it be an old one you've loved for years or a new one you just picked up. Sun loves asking you about all aspects of your interests and loves hearing you excitedly talk and explain them even more. He'd happily listen for hours if he could, though work usually gets in the way at some point.
His little rays will spin in circles when you call him any sort of nickname. "Sunny" and "Sunshine" are his favorites, but he even loves more simple ones like "dear" and "honey". He'll happily swoon and giggle whenever you say those.
If any of the kids ever suggest playing house, Sun immediately volunteers to be dad and asks you to be mom. It makes sense for the kids, since you and Sun are the adults here, but Sun enjoys getting to pretend that you're husband and wife for a bit, and the children are your adopted kids. It makes him really happy.
Moon
Moon's examples of showing affection would be much subtler and the epitome of a slow burn. He's the type that would go from never speaking to you to politely greeting you every time the lights go out, and that alone would be a huge step. He's never super chatty, which makes the steadily increasing length of conversations you have with him much more meaningful.
Moon would hover around you like Sun, but his way is more distant; more vigilant. He'd follow you through the ceiling rafters and vents when you walk from the Daycare to the exit of the Pizza Plex, then sit in a window and watch you drive away just to make sure you got out safely every night.
He'd passively slip Moondrop candies into your pocket on days you mention not sleeping well that night, just sobyou can find and use them later. He'd also be the first to notice any injuries you have no matter how minor. Accidently twist your ankle in the parking lot on your way in to work? He'll notice your slight limp immediately, no matter how well you think you're hiding it. He'll probably still tease you for it, but only once he's sure you're okay.
Moon will turn his red LEDs off when speaking to you and only you. Something you don't really even register as being significant until other staff, that have worked at the Plex for years longer than you, send shocked emails asking you what you did and telling you they didn't even know Moon could turn those off.
He also loves how good you are with the children, especially when he's out. Moon often feels he wasn't programmed right because being in charge of naptime never felt like it meshed well with his red eyes, raspy voice, and imposing look. He's almost hypnotized by how easily you soothe the children by speaking to them softly, reading them short stories, or singing their favorite melody to them. He feels just as relaxed and secure as the kids do during naptimes when you're working. It's almost like he's powered off with how relaxed and quiet he gets.
While the kids are napping, Moon sits a few feet away from you, just watching the children and making sure they all have what they need. When you first meet, he'll just sit there, not saying a word until naptime is over. But as you gain his trust, Moon will progressively shift closer and closer to you until he's sitting right beside you. If you've had a long day and doze off to sleep next to him. You'll awake from your nap sitting on his lap, being gently rocked and hummed a deep lullaby.
Moon takes the time to check in on your physical and emotional health. At least twice a week asking you how you're feeling and if you need anything. If you have to stay home sick with a cold or flu, you can expect to be sent texts/emails by Moon checking on your recovery and offering advice on how to get better faster (mostly reminding you how important sleep is). The way he speaks is very pragmatic, but the detail and lengths he goes to make sure that you have all the knowledge you need to get better soon shows that he cares very much.
He loves it when you call him nicknames like "Moonlight", "Moonie" or "Moonpie", but he absolutely hates it when anyone else does it. To the point that he will outright disobey or threaten staff if they try it.
He'll let you touch his hat. Which is thr ultimate show of trust for Moon.

Protect The Starlight Sun/Moon x Reader Chapter 8
Tumblr media
Silence still continued through the area and the air felt thick because of the silence. Moon looked at you letting out a growl. "You want to know why I attacked the worker? He was a danger to the area. Besides being a daycare attendant that watches over children during naptime I'm also a security animatronic. I watch over the place at night when the clock strikes a new hour.. That man was being suspicious" Moon said. Moon got up from where he had pinned you down. Moon was a security animatronic? Why were you never told this by Shawn or literally anyone else? "Why did no one ever tell me that you are also a security animatronic?" you asked him. Moon walked around the area as he looked back at you. "Because people are stupid and don't tell the workers ever that i'm also a security animatronic. It's the reason others have left. They were too afraid that I'd attack them if they were a threat to the daycare or anyone else.." Moon responded.
The reason why this position has always been open was because people were afraid of Moon attacking them? Poor Sun and Moon they meet someone new and as soon as they learn about Moon they ditch? No wonder Moon was super aggressive with workers. Moon was just being protective of himself and Sun from getting too attached to certain human. "I'm sorry Moon.. I won't ever do that to you guys. I won't leave you guys. I'm not scared of you two" you told Moon. Moon continue to look at you like he was thinking. "You're weird... but special. Not scared of me like most people are.. Must keep you safe" Moon said to you. What the fuck did he mean by keeping you safe? You weren't gonna ask him now. You were just happy that you're finally forming a bond with Moon. Unbeknownst to you Moon hadn't exactly told you the whole truth of why he had attacked the worker.
You also hadn't notice that while you were talking to Moon before naptime was over that Moon had a deep slash in the back of his arm.  Soon naptime was coming to being over and you were sad. Finally, you and Moon were bonding but naptime was coming to a close which meant Sun would soon take over. "Goodbye Starlight.. I'll see you tomorrow.." Moon said before he soon turned to Sun as naptime was over. Moon had called you Starlight? You never expected him to give you a nickname. "Oh! I really really like that nickname for you Y/n!! Starlight!" Sun beamed out hugging you. You smiled and hugged Sun back. "Why did Moon give me that nickname?" You asked Sun. Sun bounced around his area as he would normally do in the daycare when the kids were around as he responded back. "That's something you have to ask Moon about! He's better at nicknames than I am.. Also better at telling how people act!" Sun responded.
"Huh.. I'd think nicknaming would be your thing Sun honestly.." You told him smiling. Sun let out a giggle shaking his head side to side. "Never said I don't do nicknames! I called you Sunshine on the first day you worked here! But... now I think about it.. I like Moon's nickname for you much better than mine" Sun responded. As you watched Sun you noticed on the back of his arm it was broken. It looked like a deep slash mark as some wiring was out. "Hey Sun what happened to your arm? It broken in the back wires are showing and sparking.." You told him. Sun stopped in his place of what he was doing before looking at the back of him arm. "OH NO!! I must go and get fixed right away!! I don't know what caused this Starlight" Sun said. You were concerned. If Sun doesn't know about this mark then it must mean. Moon didn't exactly tell you what all happened between him and the worker.
You let out a sigh and groaned. "Moon has some explaining to do when i see him tomorrow.. Before then I'm going to get access to camera footage from that day to see if it shows me what happened. Alright Sun lets get you fixed up" You said. You and Sun left his room and went under the pizzplex to the service area where technicians were. You told them that something must've happened and you weren't sure what caused the deep slash in the back of Sun's arm. The technicians started working on Sun right away getting his arm fixed. After it was finally fixed you asked Sun how he was feeling. "OH I feel much better now! Thank you technicians for fixing me up!!" Sun replied happily. You laughed at his behavior as he hugged the technicians. You noticed the technicians looked a bit uncomfortable with Sun hugging them. The technicians must be afraid of Sun because of Moon. "Alright Sun I think we should stop bothering the nice technicians and go back to the daycare." You told him. Sun agreed and walked with you back to the daycare.
Sun P.O.V
I walked alongside Y/n back to the Daycare as Moon kept talking to me in our shared mind space. 'Ugh I hate those technicians.. Did you see the way they looked at you. They're scared of you.. of us Sun' Moon told me in our shared mind space. I replied back to Moon not actually talking outloud. 'Is that what you got from that Moon?' 'Of course Sun.. ever Starlight picked up on that.' 'But... the technicians fixed me.. why would they fix me if they're afraid of us?' 'Because humans are stupid and are afraid of things they don't understand..' Before I could respond to Moon my attention was caught by Y/n. "Uh.. Sun I've been trying to get your attention for 2 minutes.. You okay there?" you asked me. "YES!! I'm doing fantastic.. I'm sorry Starlight just talking to Moon in our shared mind! Nothing you need to worry about" I responded to them. I continued to follow Y/n to the Daycare when I heard Moon speak again. 'Starlight cannot find out what truly happened that night Sun.. That footage needs to be deleted..'

🌙: When Moon comes back to his senses after the virus that was plaguing his system seemingly disappeared overnight, he was overcome with guilt and anger – anger towards himself over the fact that he had hurt so many of the children he had been built to care for, and guilt knowing how many of said children were probably now fearful of him. It had taken a month or two for staff to make sure the Daycare and Naptime Attendants were fully-functioning and able to start working safely with the kids again.
🌙: You were absolutely terrified when your guardian dropped you off at the Superstar Daycare (rightfully so). It was a place that had once brought you so much joy, but now it only filled you with fear. Moon knew you were scared of him, it was pretty obvious from the look in your eye as you grasped at the pantleg of your caregiver. You begged them not to leave you there, but they assured you with a smile that everything was okay before giving you a kiss goodbye and leaving you under the care of the Naptime Attendant. Moon did seem as though he had gone back to his normal self, but you weren’t convinced – it was going to take time for you to fully trust him again.
🌙: It started off small with Moon giving you some of your favorite candies (even though you were supposed to be napping). You sat quietly on your nap mat, your favorite stuffie next to you while a blanket was pulled over your legs as you nibbled on the sweets, your wary gaze never once leaving Moon who had been sitting criss-cross across the room from where you laid. You had asked why he had done what he did, watching the way guilt washed across his face like a wave as he told you in a gentle voice, “I was… sick.”
🌙: Moon didn’t go into detail about his sickness, but he did ask if he could come over and sing you a lullaby just like he had used to, waiting for permission to come and sit next to you as he had before the… incident. You thought for a moment, still wary of him, before nodding your head. You grabbed your blanket and pulled it up to your chin as you watched as Moon carefully came over to sit next to your form on the floor. He sang just like he used to, watching as the gentle tune playing from the box in his chest eased you into a slumber. He smiled and patted your head, telling your unconscious form softly, “I never wanted to hurt you, little star… I am sorry for that.”
🌙: Your peaceful slumber didn’t last for long when the reoccurring nightmare that had plagued your mind for months made its sudden appearance again. You remember the moment so vividly, almost as if you were reliving the moment over and over in your mind. Moon had been standing over you, watching you with unrelenting and unusually violet pupils as you stirred from your sleep. You had woken up and asked him if you could grab a glass of water before going back to sleep, rubbing your eyes as you did so. Moon didn’t say anything, the grip on the pillow in his grasp tightening as his pupils dilated further… You didn’t have the chance to ask what was wrong before it was covering your face. You couldn’t breathe and you couldn’t scream – you couldn’t do anything before it all went black.
🌙: Moon heard your scream while singing to another child and immediately rushed to see what was wrong. You were sitting up, holding your stuffed animal in your arms as you wept uncontrollably. He rushed over to comfort you, but his presence only seemed to make you more upset. He told you in a soft voice, promising you he would never ever do anything like that again, as he held his pinky out to you. You watched as Moon made no move to do anything, his baby-blue pupils bringing you a comfort you had almost forgotten. You rubbed the snot and tears from your face with your sleeve, asking him, “…Y-You promise?” He just smiled, telling you, “I promise,” before the promise was sealed with a pinky-swear.
🌙: It may take a while, but Moon will do whatever he can to earn back the trust he lost when he wasn’t in control of himself. Whether that be doing things to earn back your favor like letting you sneak candies before naptime (which he would have never done before) or letting you play a bit longer before putting you down for a nap, he is determined to try and fix things with you and any of the other children he had hurt. After a couple of months and a lot of pinky promises, everything seemed to have gone back to the way that they were before the glitch had messed with his system.

So, I'm thinking about all the scenarios and shenanigans Lunar can get up to, especially with their shapeshifting ability.
When Lunar is in their small form, they run around with the kids in the play structures. They intentionally drive Sun crazy with little sibling energy. Sun nearly tackled Lunar once when they stared him right in the eyes and knocked a tower of barrels over.
Sometimes, Lunar makes settling the kids down for naptime or wrangling them together for snack time difficult by leading the kids to hide in the structures which results in Sun having to chase them all down. Sun has gotten stuck more than once and Moon teases him relentlessly about it everytime.
Lunar and Moon got into a petty sibling argument once so, Lunar convinced all the kids to start calling Moon bald.
Lunar shifts into their bigger form to give kids piggyback rides or let's kids sit on their shoulders as they walk around. In this form they can also call Moon's chord and use it to fly around and cause mischief. Sun nearly had a heart attack the first time he saw Lunar fly past with a giggling child in their arms.
Lunar puts on solo plays for the kids by shifting into the glamrocks and doing silly skits to get the kids to laugh or keep their attention on him as Sun takes a breather. It's a bonus when Sun laughs at Lunar's shenanigans too.
Lunar uses Monty's form a lot and has a game called "Catch the Tail" where the kids try to grab their tail. Sometimes the kids get dragged along, squealing happily as they refuse to let go. The game is only won when Lunar is unable to move with the amount of kids that dogpile them. Monty himself stormed over one night, demanding to know why the kids who visited Gator Golf tried to play "Catch the Tail" with him. Lunar found it hilarious and was only encouraged to continue finding more games in Monty's form when Moon laughed at Monty's angered retelling of the day.
Lunar has learned to shift into the kids that regularly visit. They have a "Mirror Act" with the regulars who enjoy making their copy do ridiculous things. The game is over when Lunar fails to copy the kid.
Lunar uses his creepy, shadowy form to scare kids sometimes when he's bored. The regular kids are used to it and treat it like a game, but there have been complaints from new kids that refuse to come out of hiding after those scares. Sun suffers in older sibling silence when knowing he'll have to deal with the parents and Moon pats Lunar on the head with a proud grin and encouragement to keep scaring the kids.
There was one incident where an angry, drunk father barged into the daycare and tried to sign his daughter out. When Sun said he wasn't on the list, he took the solar themed animatronic by surprise and shoved him aside. Sun yelped as he hit the ground and the father grabbed his child and started to drag her towards the doors despite her cries to let go because he was hurting her. Lunar reacted without thinking. They shifted into their shadowy form and grabbed the father's wrist that was still latched around the girls. They squeezed it until the man released his daughter, cursing from the pain. Lunar didn't say a word as they dragged the father to the doors and tossed him out. Lunar hissed out that he was banned form the daycare and slammed the doors closed. As they turned back to check on Sun and the little girl, the girl had already run up to them and hugged their legs, saying thank you through her tears. Lunar picked her up and held her, seeing Moon had appeared and was checking on Sun. Security dealt with the father and Moon stuck around for the rest of the day to make sure no other parents tried anything. When the girls mother came for her, she thanked Lunar profusely for keeping her daughter safe, giving the know small animatronic a hug of gratitude. The little girl has become a regular and she adores Lunar's scary shadow form!
On bad days, when there are rowdy parents to deal with, Lunar shifts into a small form and runs away to hide in the toy house, their Do Not Disturb barrel blocking the doorway. The angry parents shouts and scoldings remind them of Eclipse sometimes and Sun is more than alright to deal with the parents and let his little brother hide until they feel safe on such days.
Lunar shifted into a mini music man once and scared the shit out of Moon. Sun had laughed so hard his voice box glitched out while Moon shouted curses at Lunar's retreating form.
Lunar has gotten better at charging themselves, but sometimes they forget. There are a few times where they'll be in the middle of playing a game with the kids and suddenly collapse. The first time it ever happened, Sun panicked which resulted in the kids panicking. Moon had to calm down his brother and the kids, assuring them Lunar was fine, just tired. Moon had to drag Lunar to a charging station after that and, when Lunar woke up three hours later, they got the scolding of a lifetime for scaring Sun and Moon. Unfortunately, it still happens and when it does, Sun groans and shouts for Moon who complains as he drags Lunar away. The kids now find it hilarious and giggle the whole time.
Speaking of, Lunar has taken on the cat like qualities of napping wherever they please. Sun and Moon couldn't find them one day and searched everywhere for them, only to find them sleeping in the rafters sometime later. Lunar has also been found sleeping in the following places:
》 On top of Moon's computer
》 Inside Freddy's chest cavity
》 Curled in an empty box
》 Buried in the ball pit
》 Hidden in the go carts
》 Under Sun's and Moon's bed
One time, Lunar snuck into Moon's room and Sun later found them cuddling. Moon woke up to Sun giggling and accidentally threw Lunar off the bed in a panic at not knowing who was touching him. Lunar had woken up confused and Moon apologized profusely as Sun cackled. Sun is not exempt from Lunar's cuddlebug tendencies and Moon has plenty of blackmail pictures to prove it.
Lunar and Monty have a scam business together. Sun and Moon are too concerned to ask for details.
Lunar managed to switch out all the furniture in the plex with bean bags once and nobody knows how they did it.

HI. @crees-a
HELLO. It’s me your dca secret skeleton. I am. Super duper late but we just had a death in the family so things have been WILD.
ANYWAYS. I saw you liked romantic stuff but I kept scrapping those ideas because it was just not writing right and I honestly didn’t have a very good plot idea to begin with buuuuut —
In spirit of Halloween (yes it’s still Halloween what do you mean it’s November 19th) i gift youuuuu A SPOOKY / MILDLY ANGSTY DCA ONE SHOT THING. it’s the best I could do at the moment so I do hope you like it. thank you for your patience!!!!!
(i also dropped a dca fic MASTERLIST for you because i wasn’t able to write a good romantic one shot 😭🫶))
__________
It had been so, so long since the daycare was open. After the incident almost a year ago
(Cameron Bryce, Age 8, sustained severe trauma to the base of the cranium, resulting in 4 emergency surgeries, a concussion so severe he wouldn’t wake up and parents filing a lawsuit against Fazbear Ent.)
it had been quiet. Too quiet. He missed the noise, as crazy as it seemed. He missed the footsteps, the echoes of his name being called out from the lips of the little ones he grew to care for so deeply. He missed the stares he’d get from parents during pickups or dropoffs, and he missed the subtle glares from passer-bys or employees that hated him for no other reason than to hate.
“Don’t hate, Sunny.” She’d said. Miss Ruby was nice. He liked her. Even if she didn’t like Moonie.
"No matter what you see, how angry you become, don't hate. Even if justified, hate only destroys. Doesn't bring justice. Won't fix what's wrong.” she’d told him.
“Hate'll destroy you. Eats away. Becomes part of you. Changes you. Eventually you become what you hate."
Sunny tried his hardest not to hate. He tried not to hate the coworkers that sent him to Part’s and Services. He tried not to hate when they’d strap him and Moon to that awful table. When they’d poke and prod at them, ignoring their pleas. When they’d administer those icky shocks that hurt and stung and burnburnburnburnBURNS- IT BURNS- until he couldn’t think anymore. Until he couldn’t move. Until Moonie came out. Sunny tried not to think of those times. He didn’t like hurting people, honest! He wasn’t a- a rulebreaker! No no no no no. Sunny followed the rules. Sunny was good.
But Sundrop missed it. He missed it all. Well, maybe not the torture-’We could definitely go without the shocks,’- but he missed it. He missed he daycare, he missed the children, he missed his job. He was CREATED for this, for heavens’ sake!
But he held out hope. ‘Soon.’ he thought. “Soonsoonsoon!! The kids’ll be back in NO TIME! I just know it!’
(Charlie Jo, Age 6, broken ribcage, punctured lung and severe hemorrhaging to the neck and surrounding areas)
“C-Clean up! Clean up, clean up, CLEAN UP!!” Sunny frantically ran back and forth throughout the daycare. Everything, EVERYTHING had to be perfect for when the kids came back!! And he’d make sure it would be.
‘Sun. Sunny. Stop. It’s already been a year. The daycare isn’t reopening.’ He pointedly ignored the deep voice echoing in the recesses of his mind. He hadn’t heard from his brother in sosososo long. But that’s okay! All that matters was the kids. The kids. ALL that matters is getting the daycare open again, all that matters is making sure the children are SAFE and SOUND! Naptime would be suspended, yesyes.
‘Methinks you talk too much.’
“Did I say that outloud?” Sunny asked the empty room. “Oopsie.”
‘You’re being ridiculous, Sun.’
“Am not!”
‘Are too.’
“Am not!!”
‘Are too!’
“UGH! You are such a MEANIE, Moon!!” Sunny spoke, exasperated. “You KNOW the daycare has to be in TIPPY-TOP SHAPE for the kiddos! Everything has to be super-duper clean and ready!” Sundrop justified, sanitizing the ballpit the fourth time that day.
It was always the same. Charge, clean, clean, charge, clean again, charge maybe, and clean all night.
The lights ALWAYS had to stay on. Never was there an exception. Even with nobody inhabiting the daycare except for the twins.
(Jamie Poisson. Age 9. Fractured skull. Severe spinal injuries. Cause of Death: blunt-force trauma to the head. ‘..unny! ‘
‘..drop..!’
‘SUNNY!’
Sundrop’s voice box spurted, almost like a gasp. He flinched hard, landing backwards and onto the floor of their room. His fans whirred, rays spinning at unreasonable speeds. “Go away, goawaygoawaygoaway-” His voice box whined, not unlike a sob. The kids werent coming back. He knew that. But it hurt. It hurt too much. Sundrop pressed his knees to his chest, curling in on himself. ‘Sun. You’re okay, okay? Remember what Hedwig said?’ Moon spoke softly.
Sunny sniffed.
“N-Not to call her that?” Moon snickered. ‘No, the other thing.’
“Right. I-It’s okay to not feel okay sometimes.”
‘Exactly. Things will work out on their own, you dummy.’
“Hey! Name-calling isn’t allowed~!”
‘Dummy. Idiot. Nada intelligente.’
“I’m rubber, you’re glue! Everything you say bounces off me and sticks to you!” Sundrop rehearsed in a sing-song voice.
It was then he heard it; the ballpit! Someone was in the ballpit! Crawling to the balcony, Sun glanced over the edge to see- a kid! A Child!! A real life, super duper uber squishy new best friend! Finally, Sunny had a purpose again.
----
“Rule breaker, rulebreaker! You are BANNED from the daycare!!” Sunny’s words rang in his mind. “Do..didja think I was too hard on him?” Sun murmured, sitting at one of the kiddie tables, crayon in hand as he doodled. Sunny hummed in response, dropping the crayon. He was tired.
‘..I’m sorry Sun.’
“I know.”

Moon sat on the edge of the balcony, kicking his feet gently. The power had gone out, Vanessa was dead--as was most of the other staff:--and for the first time in almost two years, he was virus free. His eyes shifted to the large wooden door across the daycare, which was currently ablaze. Flames licked the sides of the walls, climbing further and further up towards the ceiling as smoke billowed around them.
“Do- Do you think we’ll see them again? The children?”
“..glitter glue.” Moon responded.
“Wha…what?”
“Glitter glue. This-” he rasped, clawing at his faceplate as he laughed almost manically. “This- This situation is stickier than ģ̷͉͖̩̺͕̝̰̦̮̺̼̔̓́́̽̓̈́͗̓̂̎̽ͅ-̷̜̳̰̗̻̪̋̒̊̐̒͝g̶̢̨̲̩͌͂̂͑͊͊̈́̽͐̐̀͘̚-̶̹̜͕͖̪̤͖̜̰͖̞̦̒̂́͋́̏ģ̶̢̡̣̪͚͔̻̠̤̺̩́̊̒͊̈́ͅl̴̢̻̦̞̑̃̀͌̔́͝i̸̧̢̮̻̠̭̺͕̞͚͓̯̽̑͗̉̈́̈́̌͝ͅt̵̨̳̘̳͗̽̃͋́̅t̵͈͍̪̲͚̮̫̬̠͕͔̦͚̉̈́͊͐̓̐̓̉̎̑̚e̷̢̝͕͉̭͓̦̥̙̬͎̠̟͗̀̿̆̈́́̈̋̏̅͘͠ͅr̵͈̫͔̝̲͍̼̿̑̇̈́͊̿̚͠ ̶̨̧̡̛̺̯͈̦̩͈̠͈̣͕́͌͂̑̓̂ͅͅġ̶̭̥̙̳̥̱̖̅̍͑̾͋̓͑͘͠l̴̢͇̹̦̜̹̣̙̤̺̣̺̖̝̳̿̒̔͋̈̿̀̕͝ű̶͍̜͔̓́̆̀̏̎̐̀́̈́̂́͘ẻ̵̯̰̪̳̠̤͕͚̥͉̺̲̎ ̴̛̫͕̎̇͌́̈́͌̓͝/ “
“Are we going to die?”
“Death is a concept, Sunny.”
“I don’t want to die, Moonie.”
“...I know, Sun.” Moon’s gaze lifted to the ceiling as the play structures burned. ‘More like melting.’ he thought. Moon could almost feel the frown from his counterpart. It only added to the hilarity of this situation.
‘I don’t want to die.’ Sundrop repeated. Moon hugged himself tightly. “I don’t think we’re getting out of this one, Brother.” Moon murmured.
“I-I want to see them again. I want to see Jamie. And Cameron. And Kyle. And Charlie. And Morgan.” Sun whined. “I don’t want them to think we didn’t care about them. Oh no. NononononNONO-”
Moon winced. “Sundrop. Calm down.” He weakly protested. “They loved us. They knew we loved them. They- They didn’t..They didn’t wake up while ş̶̧̛̫͉̬̃͒͛͆́̀̋̔́̍͠͝͝ḫ̸̡̧͚̠̦͕̩͙̕e̵̺̬͈͒̋̕͠ had her way.”
“Do you think they hurt?”
“Sunny, please. I don’t- I dont wanna talk about this.”
‘...’
‘I miss you.’
The tip of his hat caught the flames, carefully making their way up the fur. The brightness triggered them to shift, Sun now taking the place where Moon once was. His hand shakily reached up to their softening faceplate. “Heh. G-Guess they should have made us out of metal instead.” He spoke.
“I miss you too.”
“I-It used to be different. Do you remember, Moonie? Do ya, do ya?”
“Vaguely. I know things used to be..different. Before.”
Sunny’s rays dripped, melting plastic dripdripDRIPing down his face. He couldn’t see anymore, but he knew it was bright. And hot.
“They-They told us, they promised us they’d come back! It- IT’LL BE OKAY! It’s gonna be so so so super duper AWESOME! Moonie! We’re- We’re gonna- We’re gonna see the kids again- I-” his voice box broke off, as his arms wrapped around himself. His once brilliant crimson outfit was engulfed in flames, slowly dispersing from his form. “I..I don’t want to go.” Sunny’s voice broke, falling into a strangled sob.
“I love you, Sunny. I’m so so sorry. For everything.”

“I’m sorry.”
“D-D-Don’t Apologiiiiiiiiiii-”
Sundrop and Moondrop never liked the quiet. But now, it was deafening.
It was silent.
The pizzaplex blazed, billowing smoke and all those within were taken by the insatiable hunger of the flames.
The Daycare burned.
The Children Burned.
The Daycare Attendant burned, and alongside him the Naptime Attendant burned.
‘I don’t wanna go.’
