Bridgerton, season 3

Today, on May 21st, I finally allowed myself to watch the first episode. I must say, I hadn't planned to wait this long, but I wasn't in the mood for a historical romance, I suppose.

I was initially excited to binge-watch the first part of the season as soon as I found out the release date. I even scheduled an exam for an earlier date to avoid stressing about finals on the day of the Bridgerton release. However, when the 16th arrived, I just… wasn't in the mood. Since then, my excitement never showed. Even today, I'm not as hyped as I had hoped to be, despite my love for the previous series and the Queen Charlotte season. Not to mention the books (I usually watch a season and then read the book afterwards, it's a tradition I have with my friends, we watch it and then buy a book with the film cover, so we can buddy-read it together.). But today is the date I promised to discuss the season with my friends because they've already seen it. That's what kicked my butt to finaly hit the play button.

But now to the first episode. (Yep, it's the only one I've seen so far because I still have to study for my finals, haha, so I allowed myself to watch one episode per meal, haha) The first thing that stood out to me was the glow-up! I mean, Miss Penelope Featherington had a princess transformation overnight and she looks STUNNING! When she went to that first ball of the season, I was in awe and then furious after Cressida (Eloise's new BFF) ripped Pen's dress with her heel. I mean the audacity to do that?! Like what? But there's also the famous Colin-glow-up, and I'm not sure if I'm here for it. I had a chat with my friend about him the other day, and we both think he looks like he got Botox, haha. We are big fans of Luke and his beard, but Colin? He looks so different, compared to the previous series. It's not horrible, I don't want you to think I absolutely hate the way he looks, but I'm not so sure if I love it, you know?

Except that, I feel I should mention the new friendship between Eloise and Cressida. I don't know what should I think… I've never liked Cressida, and I'm not sure I ever will. However, I believe she showed us her real self for a bit when they were walking through the garden and she shared her difficulty in making friends. Maybe I will change my mind about her, we'll see.

Surprise - I didn’t stop at making Charlie Spring’s room! As of earlier today, here is my miniature version of Nick Nelson’s room!!!

Had the perfect box (no space on the shelf yet) and with a few minor adjustments (namely the vaulted ceiling) I had convinced myself that I needed this in my life XD

About 5 hours, some cardboard and LOTS of fabric scraps later, I now have Nick’s room as a little nook to match my earlier one of Charlie’s room!

There was a LOT of hand sewing in this one, but I got the beanbag right on my 2nd try (the first attempt was more a hackey sack lmao) and managed to match as much as I could to the illustrations AND Nick’s room in the tv show.

Anyway I just figured I’d continue posting these on here since it’s where I originally put Charlie’s room on, so I hope y’all like it :D

my dream is to have a bookshelf (or couple of bookshelves) dedicated to the star wars novels. i want them all. there are hundreds and i want them. the movie novelisations and just all the novels about the rise of the jedi order and the high republic and just. it all. and i’ll decorate the shelves with my action figures and lego helmets and funkos (cad bane stays in the pc case. sorry cad). and have my DISO grail of grail lego sets the venator class cruiser.

Camp Nanowrimo – July 2024🌸

Soooooo… tomorrow Camp NaNo starts. This will be my first time participating in this event. I found out about NaNo a few months ago and I'm beyond excited. I'd like to update you weekly about my progress.

However, it might be a teeny tiny bit trickier than I've thought. You may have read about my summer job and as of today, I haven't written a single word in a few days. I believe it will ease and I will get the necessary words in that document, but there might be days when I have 0 words written in my project and that's totally fine. I will be (and am) exhausted. In the next month or so, there may be days when my shift will be 'till the evening – I might work for 8 to 16 hours straight, that depends on my boss and their requirements. But on my days off I will write as much as I possibly can. (hopefully)

The thing I'm going to work on in NaNo is the second draft of project A.N. My goal is only 45k words. I hope I will somehow manage to finish it but I don't want to completely destroy myself.

However, you may look forward to my post every Sunday with an update☺️.

it just dawned on me that never once did I share anything regarding my Limbus OCs, cause I wanted to have everything ready - including their art - by the time I posted them, but I'm kind of impatient, so I'll just talk about one of them: Victor Frankenstein. I have a couple good drawings of him so I might attach those in a follow up cause I have most of them on my phone. ANYWAYS, let's get this bread

He joins LCB after the creation of the monster, who, in true project moon fashion, is a little bit more fucked up than the source material, as instead of just standing there Menacingly he actually attacks Victor on sight, breaking his jaw really badly. He gets an operation where he's given a prosthetic and is picked up by Vergilius shortly after.

His base EGO art, Never-Ending Hubris, depicts him in his collage dorm wearing the LCB Sinner pyjamas/prison outfits stitching the monster together- who is obscured by a white sheet. There's a couple of mementos like the medal with his mother's picture in it, a family photo, and a seperate picture of Elizabeth etc. The EGO itself would involve him having those electroshock thingies yk the ones doctor's use to revive a patient and him freaking tf out thinking the monster is still out there

The abnormalities I would kin assign to him are Shock Centipede (AEDD), Wayward Passenger (Dimension Shredder), Alleyway Watchdog (Telepole) and perhaps Pink Shoes (Roseate Desire).

His canto I imagine would take place after William and Justine's death, where Victor has a mental breakdown cause he knows he could have done something about Justine's verdict, but probably wouldn't have actually said anything to protect his own pride - much like in the novel. The Sinners try to find the culprit and eventually encounter the monster, who named himself Adam, and this is where we get a mashup of both Victor and Adam's backstory, where we're show the events as they happen simultaneously, though I've yet to think of an ending for it. Maybe they manage to "defeat" Adam, giving Victor the semblance of closure for delivering justice for both his little brother and adopted sister, and sarajinae plays. Idrk tbh, probably.

All I want is a little house that is big enough for me to have a sewing room so that I can just. Work at my museum during the day then spend the evenings cooking and the weekends sewing. Tend to my silly little house plants. Maybe get married and be the femme housewife I’ve been yearning to be and share it all with my wife but maybe also never get married and that would be okay too. Because I would have my little house and my sewing room and my plants. And some nice birds that I befriend in my nice little tiny garden.
