I've had this HC in the back of my mind for a while, but I'm just saying, Asmodeus would 100% have 0 problems dating an asexual person who was repulsed.

And I know what you're thinking, "he's he avatar of lust1!1"

Yes. But we see how often Asmo puts so much emphasis on him being attractive, and him needing everyone else to believe it too. I'm a firm believer that Asmo thinks being pretty and being good in bed is all he's good for.

But imagine an MC who couldn't care less about that stuff. They don't think he's hot, they think he's beautiful, inside and out. They love him because they love him, not what he could do for him, and he'd have no fear that they're just using him for his body like so many others have.

Not only would Asmo not have a problem with it, I think he'd be incredibly happy and secure in that relationship, and he'd be incredibly affectionate to make up for the lack of other kinds of intimacy.

Oh it was one of those days, wasn't it? When your confidence wavered. You've been through this before. You knew what you needed. But would this be the last straw for him?

In vain you attempted to carry on as if nothing was amiss within you. But he noticed. Of course he noticed. He's arguably the most observant person there's ever been, of you at least. Yet so tactful about it.

You tried to hold his hand as usual. Let him touch you affectionately without tensing up. Be close to his face and his body without hesitation. But you couldn't really help it. And who knows how many other signs you weren't even aware of he had picked up already.

Was this more aggravating to him than if you just asked for what you needed? The thoughts swarmed your mind. Again. Again their buzz overtook reason. You had been doing so well too... So you just started preparing, mentally, for what you had to say.

Meanwhile, Satan was figuring things out at his own pace. Were you growing scared? Of him? Well he could see why. His temper still got the best of him sometimes. And he knew that what to him and other demons was just a mild grumpy spell, to a regular human could be rather violent or scary.

Yet whenever he talked about it, you reassured him that no, you weren't afraid of him. You held him so lovingly and told him. Told him that you knew he'd never hurt you or try to again.

His thoughts were interrupted by you, in the flesh, of all things. You sat by him in the library and looked him in the eyes. Your expression wasn't upset but he could see you were going to say something important.

"Can we walk back home? Whenever is okay. I'll just hang around here until you are done."

A calculated request, he deduced. But you were asking for him in a way. It was a relief. He sighed with a soft smile and answered:

"Sure, I couldn't focus on what I was reading much today anyways. Let's just go."

With that, you calmly picked up your bags and left the building.

Your walk started out casual enough. Barely anyone on the streets at this hour, something you both prefer. But Satan saw you were bracing yourself to say something.

"Satan," you sighed "do you remember what I said when we started dating?"

He blushed very faintly. "You said you were really happy and you hugged me so hard... And then you grabbed my face and kissed m-"

You gaped for a second in surprise before interrupting him. "Nooo, not that."

He looked back at you, expecting to hear what you meant. You cleared your throat and elaborated.

"When I asked if you were really okay with me being asexual?"

He looked back at you a little puzzled "I believe I said that I was perfectly fine with that?"

You nodded, "yes, well, right after that."

He aimed his gaze down trying to remember. The bliss of the moment might have made him dismiss anything he didn't immediately figure out.

In the meantime, outside his head, the words itched in your throat, you planned to just remind him, but this conversation was turning excruciating for you. Just as he remembered, your voice next to him echoed his memory:

"Can I ask again in the future?"

He looked at you with a mixture of realization and curiosity. You continued.

"You told me that I could, Satan. So..."

You took a few seconds to still your resolve.

"Are you okay with it?"

There it was, the prickle in his expression. You didn't want to see it. You knew this question could be bothersome. But you needed this.

"Y/N, of course I am! Did I overstep your boundaries in any way? Please tell me so I don't repeat it again. I apologize, I truly didn't mean to..."

He trails off. But you are already raising your hand and trying to wave his concern away. Ashamed, you reply.

"No, no Satan. Listen. I just needed to ask again. You didn't overstep or anything. I like touching you, and being touched by you as well."

He nods, but stays silent for you to continue.

"But, well... I just didn't want to raise your expectations with that sort of contact. It's happened before with other people and it hasn't ended well."

He sighs and rolls his eyes. "Humans are so fickle."

You look at him wideyed, clearly hurt.

"Wait, not you, I didn't mean you!" He drags his hand down his face "Sorry, sorry" before continuing, he gathers his thoughts, "what I mean is that that is not something you have to worry about with me."

"Was it wrong of me to ask?"

He looks forward, wideyed with full realization. Then he stops walking and faces you with his entire posture as you stop a couple steps after him. He puts a hand on your shoulder and solemnly says " Y/N, never feel bad for needing reassurance. It is not wrong. How many times have you reassured me? That you aren't afraid of me? I didn't realize at the time that was what your question meant. But yes, you can ask me again. As many times as you want. It won't only not bother me, I will tell you that I love you every time and mean it. I love you."

You put your hand on his, getting misty eyed. Before your tears take over, you lean forward and kiss him briefly. Then you part from his lips and hug him, squeezing as hard as you can. He hugs back, pats your head, then chuckles and leans back, lifting your feet from the floor briefly, making you chuckle as well.

You had been hesitant to tell Mammon.

He had been so, so happy when you accepted his long awaiting confession, so you decided to hold your tongue for a bit. But then you realized you had made a mistake by withholding that information. He deserved to know.

“I should tell you… before we get too serious.” Mammon is immediately ramrod straight, staring at you with a serious expression. You don’t think you’ve ever seen him like this. It makes you nervous. “Um, I’m not into… the whole sex thing. y’know.”

“Um. No?” He fumbled and you could almost see all the thoughts running through his head. “Do ya not think I’m attractive?”

“Well uh. Not really.” You were brutally honest and you had to be for him to understand. He looked like you just stabbed him in the chest. “Well, you are! Aesthetically. I like looking at you. A lot. You’re my home screen, you know? Just not sexually.”

He stared at you, confused again but slightly less hurt. “What?”

“It’s different for me, maybe not for you.” You we’re struggling to explain this to him without making it complicated. “I just don’t want to have sex. There’s not much in it for me, I guess. It’s really hard to explain.”

“…Ya still love me though?” He asked. You knew he was still confused but you’d just have to sit down and talk to him about it later.

“Yeah, I do.”

He nodded. “Then that’s good enough for me.” He grabbed your hand and shook it as if you two had just made a deal. “You’ll just hafta explain it to me in baby terms or somethin’. Sounds like a word maze.”

With Satan, it was easy to bring it up. You’d know he’d listen to you thoroughly, so you had no reason to worry. But then he had ended up being confused, which you hadn’t been expecting. And it threw you off.

Yes, he had heard of asexuality but only for animals and single called organisms and what not. So, to say he was confused was to put it lightly.

When you tried to explain that it could be applied to humans too, just in a different way, he had jumped to another conclusion.

“Oh, I get it. You’re not asexual, why would you say that?” Satan grabbed you by the shoulders, offering you a sweet smile while his words made your heart drop painfully. “You’re very much so attractive.”

Oh.

“Not like that,” you rushed to say, grabbing his arms so that he could focus and listen for once. You appreciated him being in a rush to try and make you feel better, but you needed him to listen to you. “I mean I don’t feel sexual attraction.”

Satan frowned, thinking.

“And um, I don’t think I’ll ever want to have sex. I understand how that could be a dealbreaker and how you might not want to compromise. But I’m not going to compromise either. You get it, right…?”

“I think I do.” He broke from your grip and you started to think he didn’t want to go through with it. Your mood dropped but before you could say anything else, he grabbed you and pulled you to his chest. “I don’t mind. I think I’d do anything for you.”

Ace Dates with Asmodeus!

Let’s be honest – he’s probably the first one to know that you’re ace, whether he noticed the lack of attraction on his own or you just decided to set things straight early. So the decision to pursue a relationship was a well-thought commitment. Was it a difficult decision? Well, depends on your own approach. His approach however was very simple – he was signing up for what he knew the relationship would be, and that was it. He already had thought it through and had a lot of time to make up his mind, so for him the decision wasn’t particularly difficult. It was just a conclusion to a long thought process.

It might seem weird, but for how much attention he gives to himself, it is much less surprising that he got his feelings and motives figured out. After all, for a long time his favourite person in the world was basically him and he was more than excited to experience all the new sides he just discovered in himself thanks to you. So he eventually got a good grasp on his feelings, even if the progress was… somewhat slow.

But once he got there,  he had everything sorted out in his mind.

It doesn’t mean it isn’t new for him or that he’s impossibly positive, but he just doesn’t focus on the uncertainties. He has so many ideas where you two could go and what you could do – he knows the best places for a self-care day and he’s going to show you and let you experience every single one of them. He knows the best shops around, with the best wares. Go out with you and not pamper you? Not spoil you rotten? That’d be a crime, a serious crime!

He’s a bit lost though – let’s be frank, Asmo has been more for casual dating before, so he doesn’t exactly know what he’s supposed to do. He just wings it. Which might often just lead to a date that doesn’t exactly look much different than the earlier outings before you two got together, at least at first. And if you don’t count the fact that he’s now much more into PDA – if you’re the type to like public displays of affection as well, it’s definitely gotten much more romantic, to the point of annoying everyone around, but that’s their problem anyway. He definitely seeks more physical contact, more affection, more hugs and little touches, but the contents of the date haven’t changed that much.

But if you pay attention to what changed in the usual trips to town, you might notice that you are getting more matching accessories when shopping together. Not only accessories, but also some parts of wardrobe (though maybe getting matching socks is easy to brush off and probably not the most romantic thing in the world, but a scarf or a hat? That step is definitely noticeable). It also becomes clearer that he starts to make sure that the outfits don’t clash and that they look nice together – like if he’s now thinking of both of you not as of separate individuals but as a part of a bigger picture. He really likes the feeling when he sees that being together suits you and him. He’s likely to start picking up your tastes in attire to implement into his own wardrobe too, even if he wasn’t particularly smitten with your fashion sense before.

Of course, typical dating activities like watching a film in a cinema might pop up more often than before. He’s always been quite a touchy-feely type though, so him clinging to you during a scary or a tearjerking scene isn’t new… unless he spends the whole movie like that. That’s likely to happen.

Once the date is formally over, you’ll be probably going to his room to test out all of the new cosmetics together, and it will be a great chance to watch him let his hair down. It definitely won’t be an instant change – but the closer you two are, the more at ease he will be, and the more he will allow himself to stop being always the most glamorous demon around. He’ll start dropping the perky and energetic persona around you, showing that he needs rest, that he’s tired, that his hair can be messy sometimes too – those “behind the scenes” moments that he never lets anyone see. If he’s quiet, then he definitely ran out of his energy and might simply doze off while cuddling.

If you don’t go back to your room but end up asleep next to him, you’re probably going to witness a morning Asmo with a sleepy smile on his face when he sees you the first thing in the morning. And also his whining, if you attempt to leave the bed when he wants his morning cuddles – it’s so warm and cosy, he doesn’t want to let go yet! So you’ll probably have to stay for a while. But well… at some point you definitely need to make the heartless decision to get up…

I've been thinking a lot lately about MC coming out as asexual to Asmo. How would he react/handle this? Personally, I want to believe he'd be respectful about it but I also think he'd be really disappointed on some level (especially if MC was also sex repulsed) over that aspect of a relationship not being important and/or existent them.

I just picture Asmo bringing MC to his room for a sleepover and trying to take things to the next level. MC stops him and sort of mumbles they aren't interested in anything like that right now. Asmo giggles and tells them that he can help with that issue, only for MC to respond with silence as they look away. Asmo, clearly noticing that something is wrong, backs off and asks MC what's on their mind. MC is quite, trying to decide how best to tell him.

In my mind, the only person MC has come out to at this point is Simeon since they knew he wouldn't make fun of them or not take them seriously. And they'd really only confided in him about it because they weren't sure how to handle the brothers constantly bickering over them/clearly wanting to take things further at some point. So they went and talked to someone who'd known the brothers for a long time and hopefully wouldn't laugh at their predicament. It hadn't yielded much in the way of results, but at least MC knew they had someone who'd support them no matter what.

After enough time of MCs quiet contemplation, I think Asmo would begin to pout and whine that he thinks MC doesn't love/trust him enough to be open with him. It'd be sniffles, fake tears, and guilting until MC figures out something that's either believable enough to convince Asmo or shocking enough to shut him up. So they tell him the truth.

At this point, I see Asmo blinking and saying something like, "MC, darling, I don't think I heard you correctly. I must need to clean my ears out because there's no way you said you aren't turned on by me!"

"I didn't... I said I'm not sexually attracted to other people..."

"Soooo... you'd rather be with my demon form then? Why didn't you say so! That's an easy fi-!"

"N-no! That's not what I meant!"

"Oh? Then what can I do to help put you in the mood? I know lots of tricks I bet you've never even heard of~"

"You're not listening to me... forget it, I knew this was a bad idea."

MC then turns away and moves to gather their things. Asmo looks at MC, confused to what he did that could've upset them; he's only trying to help after all. He tries to stop them from leaving and asks them what bad idea they're talking about. Is it that they really don't like him anymore? Or is he just being too pushy? He'll slow down if that's what MC really wants, he only wanted to make them feel as amazing as they make him feel. And the best way, in his mind, is to use the skills he's acquired over the years.

MC looks back at him, clearly holding back tears at this point and says point blank that they're asexual. This then turns into them quietly admitting that they hadn't wanted to tell him because they're worried he won't like them if he knows. That he would toss them aside and move on when he inevitably found out they wouldn't be good for that aspect of his life. That all the brothers would think they're weird or childish. Every sexual activeness based insecurity finally begins tumbling from within and, by the end of the confession, MC is an absolute mess.

I think it would take a few moments for Asmo to process what's being said, but seeing MC so distraught throws a lot of his confusion out the window. He quickly wraps his arms around them and does his best to comfort. He tells them he'd never toss them aside and that he loves them for how wonderful of a person they are. That his brothers would never belittle or abandon them over something like this.

Asmo would more than likely be fairly gloomy about the discovery at first, maybe moping around or making off hand comments about it being a waste/unfair twist of fate. He doesn't actually mean anything by it, he's just not sure how else to process his feelings outside of being a drama queen. MC would have to let him know if the comments/behavior hurt them, because it won't stop for a good while otherwise.

All the other brothers find out pretty quickly as well, seeing as Asmo would probably brag about having a intimate heart-to-heart with MC as well as his moping. Either way, it might be best to just rip the band-aid off and let all of them know over breakfast. Asmo probably gives a pep talk before hand and encourages the choice, as if he wasn't the one to suggest a dramatic breakfast reveal in the first place. I think most of them would be pretty chill about it once the surprise wore off.

Levi might joke that there's finally someone more awkward than him and compare it to some anime or game he's recently binged/played, but he's just happy that his Henry feels comfortable enough to be honest. Satan's probably read something that covers sexualities so he takes it up on himself to help educate his brothers (except Lucifer because Lucifer) on the proper terminology. I honestly get strong ace vibes from Beel and somewhat from Belphie as well, so the brothers might already be on the same page as is. Mammon is going to obnoxiously tsundere about it, seeming disappointed and then blushing furiously before denying that he even cares about it in the first place. They all love MC regardless, so everything pretty much stays the same except they tone down their physical advances. It's up to MC to set new boundaries/their comfort level, the brothers will all respect them to varying degrees and Lucifer will dole out punishments if he catches any of them making MC uncomfortable.

I think Asmo and MC would eventually come out of this with a stronger relationship from all of this but that Asmo would have a hard time remembering to not get too handsy. He'd still demand cuddles if MC is okay with it, but the two of them, if in a romantic relationship, would have to have some serious conversations regarding this new development. I don't see Asmo as ever being able to go fully celibate and he might try occasionally suggesting the two of them at least try it. But I also think he'd back off if MC was made uncomfortable by this.

If MC is truly sex repulsed, I think there would be room for discussion of an open relationship on Asmo's end for the physical aspect of it. I don't see demons as commonly big on monogamy in general, so I think it would be up to MC at that point with what they're comfortable with. If MC is okay with it, Asmo will be thrilled but also honest that anything outside of their relationship is purely physical; after all, he couldn't ever love anyone like he loves MC.

If the idea of Asmo being with someone else truly hurt MC, I don't think he'd be as keen to satisfy his own sexual appetite with somebody else. I do think the latter would result in him having an even harder time keeping his hands from wandering though and a fair amount of pent up sexual frustration on his end. Asmo is Asmo after all and I don't think toys would be enough to satisfy him at the end of the day. He's needy af and that's not changing anytime soon. If anything, Solomon might be accompanying the two of them to breakfast more often depending on the arrangement.

Lucifer: He wouldn’t mind at all, given that he hardly ever feels sexual or romantic attraction himself. He holds no judgement or scorn for Thyme. Only some mild disappointment, once he finds himself romantically and sexually attracted to them, that their boundaries prevent him from making them feel as good as they make him feel. He’s the most affectionately reserved amongst all the brothers, which matches Thyme’s speed well.

Satan: Ever since he was “born” he’d never felt any romantic or sexual feelings for anyone. Not until Thyme came into his life at least. That’s when stirrings of romantic feelings began to swim in his mind, heart and soul. He’s more than fine not having sexual relations with Thyme, finding the act unpleasant anyways. He’ll stick to reading about it in his romance novellas and leave it there. Overall, probably the best match up.

- Has never and will never touch himself. Feels no need to.

- Big boyfriend energy. Loves one-on-one dates and holding hands and kissing foreheads.

Asmodeus: For many, many years thought of himself as Aromantic. Oh yeah, this guy knows his terms. Hanging out with the crowds he does, he’s up to date with queer human terminology. He was the one to help explain Thyme’s gender identity to the other brothers after all. But when it comes to them, those heart pounding, dry mouthed, sweaty handed moments happen all too often for him to consider himself anything other than Demiromantic. In fact, he falls so in love with Thyme that he find himself no longer turned on by anyone else, not for a lack of trying, exclusively becoming attracted to them. They work it out eventually, developing a similar dynamic that Thyme has with Levi.

- Despite trying not to, once he falls for Thyme, he finds himself Thymesexual. He becomes disgusted with himself for attempting to continue his casual flings once he discovers he loves Thyme more than he loves himself.

- Girlfriend energy if we’re being honest here. Loves slumber parties and dress ups and drinking from the same mug in cafes. Craves acknowledgment and intimacy.

Beelzebub: He’s had crushes in the past, with little blips of sexual attraction, but nothing like what Thyme stirs up inside of him. Beel has never reacted so strongly to someone before, so when Asmo explained to him that Thyme was incapable of returning his affections, he at first was hurt. Did they not like him? Was he too much? Was he too little? Where did he go wrong?! It took a few comparisons to food to have him understand the situation but once he did, he didn’t know why he freaked out in the first place. Honestly? Nothing was going to change between them and he was already happy with their current relationship dynamics anyways. Things were pretty great actually.

- Mastrubates when pent up or can’t sleep. Half of the time thinks of nothing, half of the time it’s Thyme.

- Big brother energy for the most part, but loves tender kisses and weirdly enough, licking them.

Belphegor: Didn’t know what he was capable of until he met Thyme. Romantically, sexually, homicidally…Affected by a rare genetic condition amongst demons, turning him basically into the worlds worst Yandere when first seeing Thyme, he wanted anything Thyme was willing to give. Even if it meant that he would never be able to act out on his new and unexplored sexuality in anything other than fantasies. As long as Thyme stays with him, he’d do anything for them, even stay celibate if they so wished.

- New to sexual feelings and, unlike Satan, will act upon them in private.

- Very casual in public but hyper affectionate in private or in front of his brothers. Show off.

This is the first time I've made something for my own MC. "Dear Love" refers to my IRL partner, whom I pretend to write to about my adventures in the Devildom.

I play the game as everyone's platonic friend. I am asexual and enjoy Queer Platonic Relationships for myself. I also play matchmaker in my own Devildom universe.

Clothing: Prefer formal wear over casual. Suspenders over belts. Monochromatic colours or loud ostentatious patterns, no in-between. Comfy dress shoes in black or brown but open to other colours to match outfits; I'm wearing leather monkstrap shoes in the picture. Metal accents like tie clips are crucial. Got laser eye surgery but sometimes wears fake glasses to feel something on my face. Satchel contains good pens, quality paper, and workstation. Fitbit on my wrist to count every step I take to solve the problems of the day.

The reason I ship DiaLuci so hard: I love my partner the most and this is a mirror to that, right down to situations and actual conversations we have had in real life. The narrative potential. Other reasons.

My MC and OM Characters in my Devildom:

Lucifer: would smugly tell me that I've used a comma splice and I'd tell him to "shove a semi-colon in it". He's my bestest friend in the entire Devildom. We go to cafes and bookstores and go shopping for office supplies. I tell him to stop working so hard and he stares at me like "You're the one telling me this? The audacity." I needle him about his crush and he tells me to fuck off but his face is red.

Mammon: my other bestie but in a wildly different way. He brings out the shit-disturber in me. We play billiards together and play for treats. I disapprove of his gambling but am all-in on the shopping. He takes me out to all the best food places. "Try this, Beckett, you'll really love it." Meanwhile it's some sort of Devildom Atrocity, but somehow it's still good.

Levi: my nerd friend. I bring him offerings and leave them outside his door. We play games often with Mammon and I kick their butts at fighting games, but get wrecked when I have to make choices. We stay up hellishly late and I wake up with chocolate on my face. "Lets do this again: ive got the hottest new dating sim to try!" We are both groggy and destroyed and i have to go to work, but I agree to come back tonight.

Asmo: my favourite boy toy. He's stylish as hell and knows what looks good on anybody. Hes my personal stylist. I cut his hair in exchange. Just like with Mammon I go shopping with Asmo, except he knows all the good places for clothing and knows where all the thrift stores are. "It doesnt have to be new and expensive to look good honey!" I agree. I cuddle with Asmo the most because he loves touch.

Satan: my boy thirsts for knowledge and I do too. We skill-trade and fan over cats. Unfortunately I'm very allergic, but I appreciate them from afar and draw cats for him to hang in his book-filled room. "Do you want to come to the cat Cafe with me?" Oh Satan. He's his father's son alright, but he's just as much of a shit disturber as Mammon. He teaches me fun curses to use on people but I'm content with just knowing it.

Beel: when I'm tired Beel carries me back home and talks about the science behind calories and energy retention in relation to demonic body types. He enjoys cooking and I love testing recipes on him, but I have to swat him away from eating it before it's done. We do exercises together and buff up together. "I can almost see your six pack, haha".

Belphie: he's my sleepy boy. He can be irrational sometimes but I put a blanket over his head to shake him out of it and he snuggles closer. I play him songs on piano and guitar and sing him to sleep, but then I also end up quite sleepy. He's like a son to me and I lecture him often. I try to keep him and Satan from screwing with Lucifer too much. I'm a double agent in the anti Lucifer league lol

Diavolo: i enjoy it when he regales me with Devildom laws, traditions and customs. He speaks of how the executive branch and legislative branch operates in the context of his kingdom and I suggest to strengthen certain areas of his constitution to bring his vision of equity and interrealm relations to the forefront. I am also a shit disturber and needle him about his crush. "You are asking beyond your means, Beckett. Forgive me if I don't answer." Hm... yes, of course. Sorry.

Barbatos: I learn how to be the most efficient I can be from someone who is the most efficient. He is skilled in everything and I must learn from the best. I'm his best student and I'm a teachers pet so i love to hear it. He's been and seen everything and he is an excellent linguist. He is poetry personified in the every day. "Don't let Solomon ruin you too much." I won't!

Solomon: I use my knowledge of mechanics and trades and recontextualise it to be an artificier and create magical items. He is also one to bring out the shit disturber in me and I have almost become Thirteen just from the incidentally nonsense stuff I make. "Oh that's an interesting effect. I wonder what will happen if I give this to Barbatos". Solomon, dude. Do you want to get murdered. Is that what you're into.

Simeon: he is my sweetest and chillest boy. My bestie to talk about justice and relationality with. When I'm insecure and feel like people don't like me as much as they do, he reassures me and tells me stories of his own relationships. "There is nothing wrong with stepping back. Once you've regained your sense of self, you'll be able to pursue the path of friendship again and people will be ready to receive you."

Luke: he is like my son. I make sure he doesn't get nightmares because he seems to have a hard time acclimating to his demonic environment. He teaches me how to bake so that I can make some cakes that look like real inanimate objects and eat them in front of people, to their shock.

Mephisto: I am like Lucifer 2.0. He doesn't really like me but I have no hard feelings toward him.

Thirteen: my Bae. She's a delight but I have to make sure her shenanigans don't cause too much damage in the area or accidentally kill me. I would date her after Diavolo if I was inclined to do that.
