You know what’s really gonna change now that Eddie and Buck are both single?
It must be such a relief for them both that they can go back to just...using their keys to each other’s places freely, being there when they get home if they want, coming in like Eddie did in 301 to get them out of the house. Just to be able to think “I wanna see him” and get in their car and drive over without worrying about it being weird or intruding if their girlfriend is there.
Because they’ve likely only been coming over when invited for a while now for that reason. Not because they feel like they wouldn’t be wanted any time before, just because now, the biggest risk again is that they’re out of those and they’d have to wait until they get back. That’s gonna be nice for them.
And that’s what’s gonna remind them of what they are to each other too. Because it’s not explicit, but it is a little more in the right direction for them to be self aware of the fact that they spend so much time together and want to spend so much time together that, like Taylor at Buck’s loft before she moved in, ‘they’re basically living together’.
If they have the opportunity to go back to that, how it was in season 3 as well as when we saw it ourselves more in 4, they’ll be able to notice that the only reason they don’t, or didn’t, spend 24/7 together is because they didn’t have the opportunity. And how they don’t wanna leave. They stay later; they have a harder time saying goodnight. And eventually, they can notice that they don’t want to have to go to sleep or wake up without each other. All that does is takes up gas because they’re just gonna immediately go to each other anyways.
In season 4A, they were moving towards something. But I don’t think it was that they were getting progressively closer. I think they were there. They had a system. Maybe even a consistent schedule of whose to go to after work today. Alternating, what game to play with Chris this week, etc. They had an established routine revolving around one another. All they were hurdling towards was awareness.
As long as they’re able to do what they want like that, they’ll do it every day. Of course they will. They’ll fall into a rhythm. And, because nothing is stopping them, they’ll stay like that. It’ll become just...their life. And noticing that they’ve built a life together is the first step towards understanding what that means.
From there, they can realize that they’re happy that way; that they like it when them being together is the baseline, with all other events of going out with/over to friends’ being branches off of each other until they come back - until they come back home; that relationships had been, to put it bluntly, obstacles to this life with one another; that they don’t want their life together to change - and that means not dating. And that seems to mean that they want this life with each other forever, seemingly instead of the previous marriage ideal. And what does that mean to want one another in place of a romantic partner? And then oh, they are so close we’re shouting at our TVs.
And honestly, that is the thing I’m curious about. How they’re gonna do it. How they’re gonna realize. Because they can get still very far with nothing “proving” romantic. And I guess that’s where all that self reflection comes into play. Because Buck isn’t gonna get it just from knowing what he wants in a partner, even if it’s an ever more specific description of Eddie, if he’s still oblivious to considering men.
So maybe this is where the predicted Eddie-initiation comes in. He’s gotta start it off, get the ball rolling, has to, by continuing to self reflect as he has been doing. And based on what we’ve seen of therapized-Eddie, I trust him to. He knows he’s repressed. And he seems to understand that you don’t know what you don’t know. And hopefully, that will lead him to question everything, even seemingly “just in case” things he may be sure of like his sexuality. If he can take everything and really consider it, he’ll run into some things that are still as he always believed, but he’ll also be able to open that door and open his eyes to Buck. And he can do what he wants for himself. And he can bring this newfound knowledge to Buck. And I honestly don’t think Buck would have even thought of it, we’ll see, but I don’t. But as soon as they’re both open to the idea, it makes so much sense. And they can go from there. And we’re there.
These posts are always way longer than I intend them to me but I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. I originally just meant to say “they can use their keys again” but then it got me thinking and the ball a-rolling :).

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™
Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.
Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.
We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.
And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.
It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?
Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

i can't get the mental image of ghost helping soap out with some stretches for his shoulder after the campaign finishes up. like, yeah, call of duty healing or whatever, but say he still needs some physical therapy to make sure he doesn't get complacent with his injured shoulder. talks to the 141 about it, someone else offers some help and ghost is immediately like no im doing it bc he's a jealous bastard
it being one of the first times he's been so up close to soap, careful as he's stretching his shoulder out and wanting to touch more SO badly but not wanting to push things
meanwhile soap, who's love language is physical touch, is absolutely THRIVING. hands that he's seen murder without a second though are now holding him so gently as they work through different stretches, every time he cringes in pain ghost doesn't quite apologize, but he's so close to his face he can see his eyes get a look of guilt in them every time
soap plays into it Just A Little. his shoulder isn't aching too bad but ghost offers anyway? oh, well who's he to say no??? it also throws him off how attentive ghost is to his injury. like, maybe after a mission, soap is rubbing his shoulder in pain, and then suddenly ghost is There, coming out of nowhere, to offer him a massage nd some help, even if others are around
price walks in on them one time and he's so thrown off and how truly oblivious these two idiots are. they're so up close and both have total heart eyes but neither of them NOTICE???

So... Does Henry deep down also like Elijah or is he just generally a very extreme person when it comes to the mental and physical well-being of his loved ones (with a slightly heavier emphasis on who he likes romantically, but not enough to harm another loved one)?
Henry is a very extreme person when it comes to their feelings + the like. To be fair, Henry really only has one really important person in his life (you), but Elijah is also important to him! No one other than you had really tried to reach out to them, so when Elijah kept being friendly despite their 'chilliness', something struck a chord within Henry.
As for whether that chord is romantic or platonic, well...who knows! :)

The pinkberry fic I want to read more than anything is 'the end'. I don't know, the more I think about Chloe the more toxic she seems. I analyze the way she behaved in canon and apply it to other aspects of her relationships and honestly, she's probably ruined Brooke's self-esteem beyond simple high school girl fights. Brooke probably bases her own value off of Chloe's opinion of her, and irreversibly so (to some extent), and I bet Chloe knows it, because she did it on purpose. I want a fic where Brooke begs in tears for Chloe to stay because she doesn't know anything but Chloe, because she's endlessly loving and forgiving and, as Chloe spent years constructing and perfecting, she's all Brooke has. And Chloe, finally, after everything, realizes the best thing she can do is leave. That the only way Brooke can ever learn to love herself is if she gets as far away as possible. As a Chloe Valentine hater, that is the only way I will ever see Chloe as truly redeemed.
