So... I have OCD, and one of the rituals I do to like stop the intrusive thoughts (and that doesn't harm me) is make these patterns. I make a lot of them (a lot), so I'm going to share them here.

This one is quite ugly, but is the last one I made, so... 😭🫰 Tbh, they all look the same, just some are bigger or smaller, or a different color.

I’ve had this concept for a while but wasn’t able to flesh out the design until now!

This is Estelle and the monster inside their head, Oleander! Oleander is the physical embodiment of Estelle’s OCD and trauma affected by OCD. Estelle must learn to survive living with Oleander and his constant harassment. I really wanted Estelle to show some physical symptoms of OCD, so I designed them with damage, dry thighs and hands, acne scars from face picking, and no lower eyelashes from hair pulling. Estelle’s colour palette is inspired by the OCD flag and Oleander’s is inspired by the OCD ribbon!
