NRC Oc #3: Salem Pachemi

Basics

Salem Pachemi (He/They), otherwise known as Sal, is a sentient life sized doll that is a Pomefiore student. He's a character who is twisted from Sally Skellington from The Nightmare before Christmas. In the game he would mostly just be a passing background character with a unique character design. But he does indeed have a story of his own! And I can't really get into detail with this section without spilling the entire thing so let's just move onto the quirks!

The quirks of Sal (Personality n stuff)

Sal is written to be rather shy and closed off, Which is very different from the usual expectations of a Pomefiore student. He spends a lot of time in his room sewing, sketching, and longing to be a part of something bigger. He feels he doesn't belong in Pomefiore and finds solace in a group of students who he shares a general aesthetic with. We simply call this group "the spookys", which is basically a group of other students who are also based on TNBC characters.

Sal likes to make gifts by hand, Mainly via sewing. He has a hobby to design clothing and sew them himself, picking out fabrics and putting his metaphorical heart and soul into it. He also offers to tailor clothing when asked for that sort of assistance. His talents are what outshine his looks and he holds that sentiment with pride. Despite his shy nature, he is still a very determined and hard worker with just about everything he puts his mind to. On another note, Sal is also rather paranoid with just about everything. He doesn't mean to be a downer most of the time, but if he gets a bad (metaphorical) gut feeling, it's not gonna go away for some time. He's wary about so much as the sounds of someone's footsteps and can even identify people by the way their shoes sound when they walk. It's a habit he learned at a young age that we will get into in the section after this next one.

Generally, Sal is a sweetheart that means well despite his paranoia. He's very awkward in trying to fit in with those around him, but he's really trying.

Funky party tricks (Talents and abilities)

Starting with the signature spell, it does not have a name yet (subject to change). But he has the ability to see glimpses of the future using dead plants as a canvas. He must be very detail oriented when using this spell, as it doesn't just spell the answers out to him. He must watch everything that happens to this plant, from every sparkle to sparks of flames, and he pieces together the answers from what the vision on the plant implies to him. When he wants specific answers for certain outcomes, he has to ask the plant a specific question before he does the spell so it doesn't just show him a random vision. Because of how detail oriented he is, he more often than not does get a pretty good idea of what the plants are trying to tell him. And his words are mostly accurate. This causes several students to occasionally flock to him to offer favors in return that he uses his magic to check things like whether or not they'll pass a test or if their crush will like them. Most of the time he declines unless it is a request from a friend. He can only use his sig spell three times a day. Any more than that and he'll be overusing his magic and would be at risk of straining himself. So he likes to use this power as sparingly as he can. Besides, his visions often tend to fuel his paranoia.

Trauma /j (Backstory, life back home)

Sal... Didn't really have the best upbringing. He was created by a mad scientist who originated in the Spectral Realm and moved to twisted wonderland to gain more knowledge on the living world. But this scientist wasn't in the best condition, finding it difficult to balance taking care of himself and focusing on his work. So to combat that, he decides to make a servant of his very own with fabric, dead leaves, and other definitely legal means. This experiment ended up leading to Sal's birth(?). Although for a while, he wasn't all that sentient. All he knew how to do up until he was 6 was to follow orders and do things like cook, clean, and generally take the role of a caretaker of his creator. However, Sal one day did gain sentience and a mind of his own over time. His creator wasn't all that fond of having to actually start treating Sal like a child and not walking free labor. And in a way, he kinda didn't. Only being a father when it was convenient to him and keeping Sal like a bird in a cage. But as you know, strict parents raise sneaky children.

Sal knows all of the shortcuts and escape routes in the book. Every way to tiptoe around anyone and go completely unnoticed. He has a habit of entering and leaving places via the window rather than the front door out of disliking the sound doors make when they open and close. He sneaks off to observe things like ongoing events and parties, wishing he could join in on the fun and dance along with them. But despite those silent wishes, he finds himself stuck in place no matter what

Posting this sooner rather than later due to the upcoming event on Twst. I made Sal like a year or so ago and I just wanted to share him before he gets ripped off (/j)

It had been a busy week in which you hadn’t seen much of each other, so when you finally made it to Friday evening, you were overjoyed to see your boyfriend again. Needless to say, when the door swung shut, the first thing you did was flutter some well-earned kisses across his face, not even bothering to take your make-up off.  So when Xiao spotted his reflection in the mirror, the flush on his cheeks wasn’t the only rose colour decorating his beautiful complexion. While you watched his blush darken, he couldn’t meet your eyes in the mirror and you giggled to yourself as you watched them snap to you when you pulled the neckline of his shirt out of the way and planted a final kiss on the base of his neck.

It was your day off, so for once you weren’t out of the house before Scara, instead getting ready at the same time as him. You made him his usual morning coffee to go after he slept over, since he straight up refused to drink anyone else’s, and kissed him goodbye. Not long after he arrived at the piercing studio, notifications started blowing up your phone and you skimmed the furious string of texts, laughing to yourself. Apparently, Xiao hadn’t said anything about the smudge on the corner of his lips, leaving Heizou and Venti to have a field day when they came in, teasing him relentlessly even after he wiped it off.  As for the accusation that you did it on purpose, who was to say…

“Do you still need the make up remover?” Aether asked from outside your bathroom door. You’d both just gotten back from an outing with the others from the piercing shop, staying longer than you initially intended. But that was what always happened. Venti could be very convincing and the group was too much fun to leave early. “I’m done, but I didn’t notice you wearing any makeup earlier,” you admitted, opening the door to let your boyfriend in.  “Well I wasn’t,” Aether sheepishly laughed, rubbing the base of his neck. And then you saw it. Faint traces of colour decorating his temple, cheek, the corner of his mouth and even the parts of his neck and chest not covered by his shirt. A shade that very closely resembled the lipstick you applied before going out. “You might be a bit of an affectionate drunk.” “Oh my— I’m so sorry, Aether,” you apologised, quickly searching around for some cotton pads and wiping the lipstick off his chest, trying not to linger on the thought too much. “Don’t worry, I thought it was cute,” he assured you, his warm smile seemingly lighting up the room. As you leaned in to clean his face, he took the opportunity to steal a quick kiss from you as well. “You should wear it more often, it looked very pretty on you.”

Kazuha had come over for lunch, as he often did, taking a break from his coworkers between the plants, sketching if the time allowed for it. When you both had to return to work, you pressed a sweet kiss against his cheek and then rushed to help a customer. And while neither one of you noticed the colour dusting his cheek, the others sure did and wasted no time pointing it out, though all their teasing comments seemed to bounce right off of him.  He wiped the stain away before any customers came in, laughing off how he hadn’t noticed at all. “Of course you wouldn’t notice,” Heizou agreed, a knowing air about him. “After all, you’re way too busy making heart eyes at your florist to even think about looking anywhere else for a second.”

“Hey honey, could you help me with something real quick?” You called your boyfriend over as you finished applying a new shade of lipstick you bought. As Heizou strolled up to where you were standing, you turned towards him with a smile. “What do you think? Do you like it?” “The colour looks beautiful on you,” he easily replied, sending you a flirtatious wink. “Though I’m not sure if it’s really the colour or just you being gorgeous that’s causing it. Now what did you need help with?” Wrapping one arm around his neck, you pulled him in for a kiss, making sure to firmly plant your lips against his. If your boyfriend was surprised at all, he masked it well, easily melting into the kiss. As you pulled away a little breathlessly, you grinned. “Just wanted to see if it’s really smudge-proof, though I guess it failed in that regard.” You traced a finger around the faint trace of colour on his lips as Heizou took the tube from you and applied the lipstick with pinpoint precision. Turning to you, his olive eyes were gleaming with mischief as he chuckled. “I think we should run a few more tests, just to be sure.”

Somehow a kiss to the temple had ended with you caging Venti against the couch, fluttering a dozen kisses all over the skin you could reach. “Ehe, what can I say, I’m just the best boyfriend ever,” he giggled, tracing his fingers down the contours of your face in return. Then, something in his expression changed and you prepared yourself to shut down whatever idea he was about to propose next. “Maybe I should think about getting one of them tattooed? On my shoulder or so?” “Don’t you dare.”

𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐄 Idol

Ever since you had caught a lot of heat from Childe’s manager for accidentally letting your boyfriend leave with a mark decorating his collarbones, you were very cautious of leaving any visible stains on him, even if it was just makeup.  Still, you found ways to work around this little inconvenience. There was one time you signed off a little post-it note you left on the fridge for him, wishing him good luck for a performance, with a lipstick stain. After seeing his reaction of childish glee, it became a staple in your relationship. Then again, whenever Childe came home from work with his makeup still on, he never failed to press a big, fat, lip gloss stained kiss on your cheek, chuckling like the menace he is when you make a show of wiping it off.

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐔𝐂 Club Owner/ Bartender

Diluc had seen his fair share of shameless make outs during his time at the Angel’s Share and normally he just turned his head the other way, not sure why people would enjoy slobbering all over each other. Well, that was until he met you anyway.  Though he’d like to think he was more composed than the intoxicated people at his club, whenever you pressed your lips against his, he thought he might get drunk off of you. He swallowed hard when you pulled away, mind still trying to process what was happening as his eyes tracked the movement of your own kiss-swollen lips, not hasty to wipe away the traces of you against his skin.

𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐘𝐀 Model

Kaeya actually revelled in it whenever you leave any type of mark on him, as long as it didn’t lead to a scolding from his manager. Whether it was something more durable like a hickey or something easily wiped off like a lipstick stain, Kaeya always looked very smug about it afterwards. After all, the marks were a testimony to the events that transpired previously, and what could he say, Kaeya enjoyed those very much. Even more so considering he knew his way around a makeup bag, confidently picking out shades that looked gorgeous on you and even more gorgeous when they were smudged around the corner of your lips and over his skin. In his opinion, every photo of the aftermath was more stunning than any of his cover shoots.

You walked in on Dantalion getting ready, his attention that was previously on his reflection in the vanity mirror flickering to you when you entered. His plush lips, curled into a loving smile, are painted in a flattering shade of red and your gaze was trained on them as you came to stand in front of him. “Are you trying a new shade? It suits you well.” “I am. I’m glad you like it,” he hummed, tilting his head in contemplation. “I wonder…” Cupping your cheek in his palm, the demon leaned towards you and you instinctively closed your eyes as his soft lips pressed against yours with purpose. As always his kisses made a part of your brain short circuit and you blinked at him dazedly for a moment after you parted. There was a satisfied gleam in his bright eyes as he wiped at your bottom lip with his thumb, studying the red stain he left. “As expected, it’s an even lovelier colour on you, my flower.”

“Little lamb, come here for a second.” Valefar was no stranger to finding your lipstick smudges at the rim of his drinks or wiping smudges of colour and gloss from his cheek before leaving for the casino after you gave him a kiss goodbye. He didn’t mind, found it cute even, but as he regarded the pink stain on the collar of his white dress shirt in the lounge’s mirror, he knew it won’t come off with a quick swipe of his thumb. It wasn’t a big deal, he kept spare shirts in his office, but Val wouldn’t pass on the opportunity to fluster you. “Care to explain yourself?” You were halfway through stuttering out a sheepish apology when Valefar backed you against his desk, keeping you pinned to him with a hand on your back. Intense amber eyes keep contact with yours as he leaned down to suck a noticeable hickey on the same spot his collar would be, knowing your clothes barely wouldn’t be able to hide it. “Debts should be repaid, wouldn’t you agree?”

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐒 Popular Streamer

It was a pleasant day in the Devildom, as pleasant as it could be in a realm without the sun anyway, pulling the two of you out into town. While strolling from apparel stores to gaming shops, you passed a café you frequented and decided to stop by for some refreshments. As you pointed around various shop displays, you had the sinking feeling that your drink emptied faster than usual. And when you spotted the colourful stain that had transferred from your straw to your boyfriend’s lips, you caught the culprit red- handed (or rather red-lipped). When confronted he merely chuckled playfully before swooping in to steal a kiss on top of your drink, staining them with more of your lipstick and thereby destroying the evidence. (His straw also became more colourful as he offered you his drink as compensation.)

When Vil gifted you a set of lipsticks and glosses from a campaign he was part of and had no need for, you accepted them gratefully. You just finished sorting through all the shades and trying out a pretty shade of red, when there was a knock on your door and Cheron sauntered into your room.  “There you are,” he grinned, charming without even having to try, before pulling you close and stealing the air from your lungs with a kiss. For someone who claimed to not be interested in ferrying more souls to hell, he sure seemed intent on trying to kill you. “What’s this you got there? Vil’s new collab?” “Right you are,” you paused, peering around him to the lipstick tube in your hand and chuckling as you read the shade name. Pressing another kiss right onto the middle of his cheek as payback for his usual schemes, you took in the red matching the colour on the corner of his lips. “Don’t you think it’s a beautiful colour, Cherry? It does match your hair and eyes. Maybe I should start calling you that.” There was a dangerous glint in his crimson eyes, clearly aware of the red staining his face, as he swiped his thumb under your bottom lip where the lipstick left a smudge as well.  “You have a lot of nerve marking the Prince of Hell.” His grin showed off the points of his fangs more clearly now, clearly amused at your little stunt, taking a step forward and walking you backwards towards the edge of your bed. “That’s fine. If you can handle the consequences, that is.”

A little bit of everything ahh post

I just thought I'd showcase what other art I've done! (These are all from 2024 bc currently I have Sonic brainworms and this blog is for my Sonic brainworms)

närsi in her working uniform - ive mentioned it when i posted her first, but she works in the sartrill defense force, the Sartrill Tirsekki (more specifically in the Rau-Tirsekki, the division for basilisks). and yes her wings look different bcs ive been pondering a bit of an anatomical revamp of basilisk wings... so they can have silly hands. Yey. more rambles under cut

in most basilisk communities it's not seen as indecent to not wear clothes really, as they don't really need to. but in many communities it is a fun decorative element they like engaging in and clothes may often be seen as more associated with certain events or social positions. bcs of their anatomy most clothes however extend to chest/neckpieces, hats and legpieces as it can be a struggle and a hinderance to put on stuff below the arms as their wing membrane stretches from their arms to about halfway downt he tail.

the basilisks in the Tirsekki have their own division as they are usually delegated to special reconaissance roles separate from the rest of the order, who are usually trained in more typical forms of defensive and offensive combat. the subdivision has their own leader/trainers who are usually basilisks themselves as they know their own abilities best, rather than a harpy. their shapeshifting is obviously a huge part of their work, and scouting/surveillance is their most common form of work. sometimes they are called to stuff that involves combat however too.

the sartrill tirsekki formed as a revival of an older defensive order, the kaskin tirsekki. kaskin was a crakam town that fell due to human discovery and attack, and the crakam that formed sartrill were the fleeing survivors from that siege

NRC Oc #1: Spirit Auraveil

(Drawing by my buddy Howl @thesunshineriptide. And yes they drew her with a gun. They said it was mandatory /j)

Basics

Spirit Auraveil (She/her) is my very first twst oc, originally intended to be my Yuu but ultimately decided against. She is twisted from Medusa (Hercules exists as a movie and therefore she's canon to Disney. Leave me alone /j/lh). She is a gorgon Ramshackle student with a fear of men, an appetite for concerning things, and a love for the color red. She is not the prefect, as the prefect in her universe is @elysia-nsimp's Yuu, Comet Yuusonya/Morningstar (depending on the universe). Spirit is just another unfortunate soul(less) that got put in that dorm due to being accepted into NRC out of a mistake on Crowley's end, not reading her file correctly and assuming that she was a boy. She doesn't show up until sometime after Azul's OB in the canon of this universe. She's basically just another npc for Comet to deal with. She's one of many.

The Quirks of Spirit (Personality n stuff)

Spirit is written to be constantly walking around with a resting bitch face. Everything that comes out of her mouth sounds blunt, rude, and generally uninterested without meaning to. Her first comment upon entering Ramshackle was a blatant insult to Yuu's (Comet's) decorations. She tends to be very similar to that of a beastman, being alert and a relatively good hunter. So good, in fact, that she is actively named "Ramshackle's pest control" for being the one to capture all of the rats and mice that skitter around the dorm. She eats most of the rodents she finds, but it's still pretty helpful! The downside is the simple fact that Spirit is not all that above the idea of attempting to eat Grim. She hasn't tried to yet, but who knows if she will or not?

But over time Spirit does soften up a bit, trying to be a little(?) nicer. This is rather difficult because at times she genuinely cannot tell whether or not she's being rude to someone and will not notice until you point it out directly. She's the equivalent of a baby non-venomous snake trying to bite you. She's not actually trying to hurt you, it's just instincts.

She also doesn't have the best memory. Every week, Malleus comes to visit Yuu for tea and a talk. And every week Spirit forgets who Malleus is. It's rather frustrating to have to remind her every time he comes around, but she doesn't mean any harm to it. She kinda just doesn't register him as someone important enough to actively try to remember. She's not scared of him, just confused as to why this tall lizard man keeps showing up at her doorstep. Generally, Spirit doesn't remember people unless she wants to remember them.

Funky party tricks (Talents and abilities)

For starters, her signature spell. Despite being soulless, unlike the canon Yuu, she is fully capable of doing magic. And her exceptional magical ability is what ended up overshining the fact that her file was labeled as female. Her signature spell is called "Serpent's Monolith." She can basically encase people into a cold, stone statue when she looks them in the eye, basically stunning her opponent for a temporary period of time. She cannot leave them as statues for too long without straining herself. So this spell is basically used to do things like flee from an awkward encounter or temporarily stun an enemy to buy her party some time to strategize. However, the whole needing to look into their eyes thing only applies when she's stoning a sentient being. She can also use her magic to turn smaller objects into stone, only she doesn't have much of a limit to how long she can leave them like that, as the smaller the thing, the less magical energy she needs to use to maintain the stone. When something or someone is turned to stone, they are basically frozen in time in a way. So she often likes to stone some of her soda cans and energy drinks to preserve their state so they can be just as cold by the time she actually wants to drink them. Grade A magic use I know (/j).

Another magical thing about Spirit that even I as her creator often forget about is the fact that Spirit is a psychic medium. Ever since birth, seeing and communicating with the dead was about as natural to her as breathing. This power of hers was a strange phenomenon to her family, as there are no traces or history of anyone who can speak to ghosts on either side of her family. It all sorta just came out of the blue somehow and no one knows why. Spirit isn't even the name she was given at birth. She changed her name to Spirit out of her strong connection with the spirits around her. In a way, it's both a blessing and a curse. She often cannot tell the difference between the living and the dead. Not to mention that even when ghosts don't present themselves as a visible form, she can still see them no matter what. She sees and hears more ghosts than a lot of her dormmates on the daily and it can get annoying fast.

As for talents, she's actually a surprisingly good poet. On the side she has the habit of writing poetry to outwardly express how she feels, something she often struggles to do with words and her facial expressions. This talent is something that a lot of students know her for, as she once infamously wrote Kalim an anonymous love poem and all hell broke loose when he became DESPERATE to find the author of that poem and wouldn't shut up about it until he eventually found her (via recognizing her fucking handwriting). But clearly the embarrassment of this incident didn't have a hard enough kick on Spirit, as she proceeded to make the same mistake again but this time directed towards Idia and was executed a little differently. Both incidents resulted in the same suffering from success story, just in different fonts.

Trauma /j (Backstory, life back home)

Spirit grew up with 13 older brothers, parents who desperately needed a divorce but never did, and severe money problems. She spent many nights trying to evade getting eaten by her brothers in her sleep and ignore her parent's screaming competitions. She never got to have anything that was just her own that she didn't have to share. And her worst nights were having to listen to her mother cry about financial issues through the walls after being given one nice thing. Because of this, With her accidental attitude, she is also incredibly stubborn. She does not know how to accept a gift and hates leaving loose ends. It doesn't seem to go through her head that people can just give her things without malicious intent or wanting it back later. But for some reason, she has the habit of accidentally befriending rich people who keep trying to shove kind gestures down her throat. None of those gestures are ever accepted without a fuss from Spirit not wanting to somehow subconsciously manipulate them for her own gain despite not asking for any of it in the first place. She's often not mean on purpose. And she certainly doesn't enjoy making people cry without meaning to. It's often hard for her to accept that allowing someone to give her gifts won't harshly impact their financial situation in some kind of way.

Basically, she's the total opposite of Ruggie. Grew up poor, but her spender's guilt bites her too hard in the ass to be a moocher.

Comet Morningstar/Yuu - Philia

Spirit is fond of her housewarden, even if she's bad at showing it. She believes that the dorm just wouldn't be the same without Yuu. Even if it started out rocky, she does have great respect for this individual.

Alice can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but she does still care for Alice. Alice is a good ally who helps her with research on a certain disappearance. Spirit doesn't fully realize that the two of them are friends, only referring to Alice as an acquaintance. But with how they are often seen together, even if Alice is teasing her, they might as well be.

Grim - run

She still wants to eat this cat.

Floyd Leech - Eros

She initially didn't trust Floyd. All she heard was that Octavinelle is shifty. She often tried to distance herself from the Octavinelle members to stay out of shady business. This proved to be rather difficult as Floyd kept showing up to bother Yuu. This lead to Spirit being subjected to him. Over time, her fears of him lessened (somehow). And at some point, she offers him a shell bracelet she made as an act of attempting friendship. Floyd misinterpreted this as her asking him out. And Spirit spent a whole three days unaware she was in a relationship at all. It worked out in the end though.

Jade Leech - positively acquainted(?)

Spirit spends more time with Floyd than Jade. And she's unsure of him. But she gives him the benefit of the doubt out of respect for Floyd. He's strangely nice to her. But Spirit cannot read tone. So she often genuinely cannot tell if he's being nice because he wants to or because he has alterior motives. She's too afraid to ask.

Kalim Al Asim - Eros

She used to think that Kalim was annoying and unnecessarily obnoxious. But her opinions were changed over time when she actually bothered to spend time with him. He gifted her a bracelet and a parasol to shield her from the harsh sunlight so he could show her around his dorm. Eventually, this leads to a crush. And then the letter incident happened where she sent him an anonymous love poem to get those feelings off her chest and then it backfired tremendously. To this day she is still embarrassed by this whole ordeal. Especially since Kalim still has that poem framed in his room.

Jamil Viper - fear

Spirit has this feeling of fear towards Jamil. A part of her has no idea why. Spirit is not an active participant in book 4 so she is only informed of that incident much later down the line. Generally, Jamil reminds her of a snake in a very literal sense. As a gorgon, she half expects him to be hostile out of instinct alone. And so she acts accordingly.

Howl Pendragon - Philia

Spirit found Howl to be interesting at first, although mildly intimidating with them being an Octavinelle student. But once they showed they were not a threat, she softened up a little to them. Similarly to Alice, Spirit also doesn't entirely realize that Howl is her friend either. But they still get along pretty well. She knows that they're a good person to turn to if she ever needs a shoulder to lean on. Not that she would out of her own paranoia, but the thought has indeed crossed her mind a few times. Howl is one of the few people she would actually care about if they died.

Malleus Draconia - Who the fuck are you?

As stated previously, Spirit struggles to actively remember who Malleus is. Not out of any malice (hehe), but it's rather amusing for Spirit to have to be re-introduced to him every time he passes by Ramshackle. Even when she is reminded that he's a regular visitor, she's not all that intimidated by him. She doesn't really care for his status or how important he seems to be. She's honestly more curious about what reptile he's supposed to be.

Idia Shroud - Eros

They never really acknowledged eachother much until the events of Glorious Masquerade, where Spirit encouraged him to go up the stairs to the belltower in a way that he would understand (gamer lingo) and bribed him with little snack cakes she had in her pocket. And they sorta just clicked from there. After that whole fiasco he attempted to repay her for the snack cakes by offering her two fresh boxes of them (they were really cheap). She ended up panicking and trying to refuse. He panicked in response and didn't know what to do. Spirit cried, he fled, Ortho forcefully dragged him back upstairs kicking and screaming to resolve the issue, blah blah friendship. Spirit actually finds Idia to be an enjoyable presence even if he's not much of a people person. She gifted him a red tamagotchi as a way to basically remind him that she exists without explicitly being in his line of sight. It felt strange to actually want someone to know her, but she doesn't register this as a bad feeling. This feeling ended up evolving into something more and resulted in another backfired poem incident.

Venus - minor inconvenience

Venus is a ghost that bothers her often. She's sorta like the Grim to Spirit's Yuu. Annoying, breaks into weird pirate vocabulary, and doesn't shut up about her missing daughter. Spirit genuinely doesn't know what Venus' deal is. But she's been trying to find a way to help her move on. And hopefully soon, as the times Venus disappears for too long never get any less concerning.

A good chunk of the friend art are from my buddy Howl. A lot of these pictures depict her without her snakes. This is either because I can't find picrews that have gorgon snakes, or because some of these were made before she grew in her snakes at all (late bloomer).
