I am very, very curious about your opinions on ZoSanLu or ZoLawLu 👀
omg this is a deeply loaded question... partially because i have very specific dynamics that i like(???) for these ships that--now that i think about it, are actually the same dynamic. just.... zolu + a third pathetic man in love with luffy, basically. i don't really vibe with zosan in any serious shipping context, but i do love one-sided sanlu purely for the melodramatic potential of the world's most depressed rat pining after the monkey d. luffy. zolawlu has similar a foundation imo (zolu + loser), but i also could see that ship working as like a... friends with benefits thing. the in-universe politics of two captains in an actual relationship still makes lawlu pretty unbelievable for me, but again... one-sided pining? i'm absolutely here for that. i eat that shit up. my fave. incidentally, this is also the worst (funniest) possible context for sanlaw to happen. real pathetic4pathetic energy from two guys desperate for someone brilliant and unattainable.
in my beautiful world, everyone is a little bit in love with luffy and also a little bit heartbroken that he's sharing a brain with zoro 24/7. pretty much everything else revolves around that lol.

request for izzy hands x male or gn reader (romantic). reader is friends with calico jack (i luv will arnett so lets pretend calico is alive lmao). back on hornigold's ship, izzy, blackbeard, calico and reader were extremely close/ tight with one another. so yk how they hinted at calico and ed having relations w one another at some point? maybe that also happened with reader and izzy. like there has always been romantic tension between reader and izzy and they both acted upon it at some points but never really made anything official.
anyways, they each go their separate ways eventually. izzy going with ed and calico and reader being impulsive and crazy sons of bitches who just end up seeing wherever the sea takes them without any plans. years later, calico jack and reader reunite with ed and izzy (and now stede is there of course, as well as the rest of the crew). izzy and ed assumed reader to be dead for a very long time up until this point. idk just re-blossoming romance with izzy x a reader who is his complete opposite and is fucking crazy. first kiss possibly and idk i've never seen any fics where reader is friends with calico so! sorry if this is redundant or hard to read. english is not my first language. bonus points if reader can convince calico jack to take a bath (that man smells like shit 100%)

Izzy Hands x Reader
Words: 4k
Google Docs Pages: 6
Warnings: smoking, drinking, idiots in love fr, if you squint there’s some angst, mostly just fluffy banter idk I don’t usually write stuff like this :”D
Opening: You go way back with Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Izzy Hands, all the way to the time you were a part of Hornigold’s crew. But eventually all nice things have to come to and end, and you all go your separate ways. You stick with Calico Jack and lose contact with Blackbeard, and Izzy whom you’d grown fond of.
After a long time, you come across the two at Spanish Jackie'z, and realise that same old fondness never really disappeared.
AN// Gn Reader! I meant to write this as a he/him, but I forgot xd. I’m so sorry this took me so long to make, omg :”D I got into so many other things after ofmd that I couldn’t bring myself to write the rest of the requests, but aye I’m here again and as good as new! (or maybe not, maybe I forgot how to write for these characters.) Anyway, I’ve had time to let this one brew. I’ve loved the idea since it came in, had lots of fun with this !!
Anyway I wanted to write this before I get Baldur's Gate 3, just in case I want to start writing for that and postpone these even more :”D So enjoy the last Izzy request I had left!! <3
“A light that never goes out.”
As famous as the ship of Hornigold’s might have been, life as a part of the crew was not the easiest. Hornigold wasn’t afraid of threatening his crew, nor was he playing around when he did so. You’d seen how he treated the young cabin boys on board, like disposable toys. And maybe he did have more respect for the older crew members, but that did not save you from the overly hard work and stress of the captain acting on his threats. Which you knew he would do with no problem and most likely with a smile on his face.
So what did you do to get through your days on a ship like this? You drank with the fleet. And that you were doing now, knowing there wasn’t anything to be done for the day. The sun had already set and the sea calmed down to rest for the night.
An oil lamp on the table was providing some light, otherwise the space was rather murky. An empty rum bottle had fallen on its side in the middle of the table, a freshly opened one going across the table, person to person. There wasn’t any to waste, though you played around with the thought of sharing being caring.
Calico Jack sat on the other side of the table from you, Edward closest to him. You watched the bottle being passed between them, the noise of Izzy moving ever so slightly behind you bringing you back from your thoughts. This allowed you to pick up on the topic of the conversation. Jack and Edward complaining about the captain, Jack clearly a little more buzzed based on his speech. You flashed them a lazy smile, agreeing with what they were saying that way. Not joining the conversation since the two of them seemed to be so deep into it. But it was nothing unusual. Usually as the night went on the two of them would continue to converse, leaving you and Izzy to the sidelines to do your own thing and jump in on the topic when you felt like it. But neither of you minded that, usually finding the silence comfortable or conversing with each other silently. He was pleasant to talk to, even if you knew he wasn’t so fond of Jack and his behaviour that had rubbed off on you over time. Though, you tried to keep it at bay when with him.
You leaned back on your chair, stretching your arms. The action allowed you to see Izzy as he pulled a packet of cigarettes from his pocket. You gave him a look, not asking for anything but hoping he got the idea. And he did, he always did. Which you were glad of, since asking to come for a smoke with him felt like you’d turned into a begging puppy. Knowing the next time you or anyone else would get their hands on some more was unknown.
So you excused yourself, leaving for the main deck with him. Not going far, near the railing. You leaned against the gunwale, eyes fixated on the light waves hitting the hull. Izzy followed suit, leaning his elbow on the gunwale before lighting the cigarette he was holding. He took the first drag from it before offering it to you. Of course he did, he never gave you your own. That would have been a waste of the small amount you each had, but that did not stop you from complaining about it. “Leftovers?” You raised your brows a little, still taking the cigarette from him. “Better for yer health,” was what he usually went with, like this time as well. “Fuck off,” you replied with a chuckle and took a slow drag. He didn’t say anything to that, turning his eyes to the water as well.
You didn’t dare to smoke much of what he had left, handing the cigarette back to him. The silence around the two of you wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable, but you felt the need to break it. Something of the way Jack and Edward had been conversing had sparked the interest of talking within you as well. “You ever thought of leaving? Finding another ship to board?” You asked, curious of his answer to be truthful. Because you had, multiple times in fact. You weren’t even sure of the reason for your extended stay. Was it for the trio you hung around? Or was it the threats you feared? You had not a clue, but perhaps if he had thought of the same thing you could push yourself over the edge of leaving as well. “Hornigold may be half insane, but I’ll follow Ed. Doubt we’ll die here, but he won’t stay here forever.” The man next to you replied, taking a rather long drag from the cigarette before lowering his hand and blowing the smoke into the cool sea air. You hummed, tilting your head in understanding. Though, you couldn’t pass up an opportunity to tease the man. So you turned to look at him, pouting as you raised your eyebrows. “Oh?” Was all you had to say for his expression to drop, noticing the way you’d abandoned the initial topic purely for this. “Fuck off, rapscallion. You know what I meant,” he said but you counted on his tone of voice when deciding if he was truly annoyed with you or not. Of which you chose the latter. “What? You’re even pining for him now when you’re up here.” You laughed, following as he shook his head with a disappointed look as he stumped the cigarette. “I’m not going to start this with you,” Izzy mumbled as he turned his eyes back on you. Now clearly a little more annoyed but you said nothing of it, wanting to see where this would go.
Izzy turned to leave, retreat from the situation. But you had your hopes up, in the sense that you didn’t want for him to leave yet but also hoped that he’d tell you if there was actually something going on. For the sake of your feelings. Which you weren’t going to admit you had for anyone, unless he spoke first. So you took a light hold of the fabric of his shirt, giving him space to leave if he wanted to. But he didn’t. “Come on, ye getting lily-livered on me? Was I right?” You dared to ask, maybe pushing the situation a little far but you took the risk. Though it didn’t seem like he was going to leave, at the very least. He opened his mouth, closing it soon after. Seemingly frustrated. But you saw something else within that initial emotion, hesitation was some of it. Something that had appeared when his back was turned to you earlier. When he thought you wouldn’t notice.
“Well?” You hummed, an amused look on your face even with the slight anxiety building up within you. His eyes darted across the empty main deck before landing back on you. A sigh left him, pursed his lips in whatever emotion he was feeling at that point. It only making you wonder if you’d gone too far this time.
With a swift motion he placed a hand on your waist, enough to make you land against the gunwale, kissing you rather roughly. A gasp escaped you, eyes widening for a short moment before responding to the action. Something in his manner changed at your response, pulling away slowly and with more calculated movements. It was only when his hand left your waist that you took a breath, blinking at him as your mind tried to come up with anything to say. He didn’t seem to have a grasp on the current situation either, though he had a response in mind for what you’d been waiting for earlier. “Ye never are,” he said before heading back down to Jack and Edward. Leaving you out on the main deck for quite a while before being able to return as well. Only to not speak of that moment openly for a long time after.
But that was years ago. And after that night and the many more you experienced, the fun came to an end. You all went your separate way, as much as you didn’t like the idea of splitting up in such a manner. But there was no avoiding it. So you chose to stay with Jack, seeing as you had known him for the longest and got along with him the easiest. And as much as he already had seemed like the obvious choice, it also seemed that he did not mind you tagging along with him one bit.
And there had begun you and his long lasting journey to nowhere. You were finally free of Hornigold’s threats and work, having time to do as you pleased and go where you wanted. And so Calico Jack and you sailed with ships from place to another, keeping from trouble the best you could. Well, from time to time it seemed as if you were keeping him from trouble but at the end of the day it kept the both of you on the safer road.
But this specific night, you were in the Republic of Pirates. Spanish Jackie'z had become a place the two of you would go to any time you were staying there, and that tradition was not broken this time either.
The lights were dim where you were seated, at the corner. Not a table Jack would have chosen, but you preferred it. You liked retreating to it if things started getting too rowdy in your opinion, knowing no one would be looking for you in the shaded corners of the tavern. And that was exactly what you were doing now. Observing the people and the conversations happening around you while Jack was causing a commotion somewhere in the crowd.
And all of that went along how it always did, nothing out of the ordinary. Well, until pirates you didn’t recognize straight away came in. A well groomed man in a fancy clean suit caught your attention first, causing you to furrow your brows in a mix of confusion and interest. He didn’t seem to belong, catching the attention of the other regulars you’d gotten to know over time. With him was a more dark figure, black clothing which blended him in with the rest of the crowd. Or would have if he wasn’t walking so closely to the fancy fellow. The thought made you giggle. But not for long, as your mind started to race when you saw the third party with them, a shorter man. Because the sight of him jogged your memory, made you shake your head to make sure you’d seen correctly. To not get too excited if you’d just been imagining things. But you hadn’t, it was him. And if that was true, the other man must have been Edward.
Your eyes stayed on Izzy, blinking as the noise from the crowd blended into the background. As if a static had taken over your thoughts. You thought of going over, surprising him perhaps? But you hadn't the time to act on the thought. All the noise suddenly returning as Jack made his way to Edward, almost clinging to the man’s neck. A slight smile making its way to your face, a nostalgic one. Though, you feared what the good old combination of the two would mean for the new fellow. But for now, Edward seemed to be introducing your mate to the man, so you felt at ease with leaving Jack with them. Surely he’d behave….
Your eyes returned to Izzy, finding the man staring at you just as you had done to him. An awkward smile tried to creep its way to your face, feeling the urge to go up to him and have a drink. But the man seemed as if he wanted nothing to do with the place, as that he would have already left if it hadn’t been for you. So you stare back at him, nod your head towards the door he’d just entered from. A subtle invitation for a smoke which you didn’t have, but he didn’t know that when he nodded back at you, accepting the offer.
So you got up, made your way outside where he had escaped as soon as possible. You took a breath to prepare for a talk, but he beat you to it. “How you are still alive, I cannot say,” he hums, demeanour much calmer than before. His form leaned against a wall, a lot less tense eyes travelled to you. Giving him a chuckle you tilt your head. “Jack is who he is, but he would never-” But it took the mere look he gave you to not finish that sentence. Not what he had meant. “That man may be half insane, but I figured you’d gotten yourself killed elsewhere by now.” He explains, eyes focused on a rum bottle he was opening, figuring out he wasn’t going to get a smoke from you. “Hah! You’d have to find something deadlier than a lead marble to take me down,” you laugh as you take the bottle he was offering. “Though, I’m not sure I can keep dodging the bullet that is an unbathed Jack…” You mumble with a careful expression before taking a swig, earning a low chuckle from Izzy. The angle allowed you to see his face better, confirming that he seemed to be in a better mood. Not as grumpy looking perhaps. But you said nothing of that, letting him off the hook this once.
The evening starts to resemble a night soon enough, making you and Izzy start to drift over to the shore. At some point, you notice Edward, Jack and the new guy follow, joining in. You wanted to stay longer, to get to know the new man better and to get to talk to Edward as well, but Izzy seemed oddly annoyed with the company getting bigger. So you share a few drinks with them, learn that the name of the man was Stede Bonnet and go your separate ways.
Separate ways, as in you and Izzy walked over to the jolly boat and waited for the rest of the group to be done with their chatter. Though, it seemed an awful lot like that wasn’t happening any time soon. But while observing the three of them from afar, you noticed that while Stede didn’t seem to be the biggest fan of Calico Jack and the effect he was having on Edward, there was something different in his eyes when he looked at the two of you.
The man who was now laughing with Ed might have rubbed off on you in the years you’d known him and as much as Stede disliked the persona, something in his chest warmed up when he saw Izzy follow you around. The way he didn’t disturb your rants, listened if not always so keenly and chose to hang around. Because that was something Stede hadn’t seen Izzy do willingly with anyone but Edward. And something about that made the man take peeks at the two of you sitting together, happy for Izzy in his own way. Izzy might have not liked him, but Stede never wanted to make enemies, so perhaps this was good for the self isolated man.
But you knew nothing of those intentions. Only that his staring was putting you off, not sure what it was about. You could see there was no malice in his eyes. So you couldn’t blame him for staring, for you had been doing that exact same thing to Izzy just back at the bar. But perhaps for different reasons, to which even you hadn’t really given into. It couldn’t be, because all the years at sea should have washed away any previous feelings. There shouldn’t be anything left but an empty table to start over from. A kind of erosion caused by separation. But that thought was too deep to dig into right now.
You couldn’t quite hear what the three further away were planning, having seated yourself in the boat. Izzy leaning against the head of the small vessel, bottle in hand. The sounds of seagulls far off in the distance, in town. They didn’t bother to come to the shore so late into the night, knowing there was still food to steal where people were buzzed and forgetful.
“Suppose we’re tagging along.” You start off in order to break the silence which had crept over the two of you. Izzy swirled the liquid in the bottle, raising his gaze over to the sea. “Ain’t that the fucking dream,” he replied but it seemed he mostly meant your companion, not you. But that didn’t prevent you from acting offended. “Don’t pretend like you didn’t miss me at all,” you laugh, the sound of it clearing any doubts from you being tipsy. “Never said I didn’t, ye made that up.” Izzy is quick to answer, allowing himself to drink the leftovers from the bottle, seeing as you’d already had your share and above. You pout at the sight, drawing in a breath. “Hm, maybe I should have been an author after all in that case.” You raised your brows, amused. “Can ye even read?” He asks, eyes back on you. The question receives a chuckle from you before you shake your head. Your drunken mind wanted to say, ‘no, but I can read the tension between us’, but something in you decided against it. Perhaps another time.
Another moment of silence surrounds the two of you, and for a moment you think you were able to hear the conversation of the three men further up the shore. In reality you should have been a psychic of sorts to have been able to hear them through the sounds of the light waves hitting the stern of the boat.
You smile to yourself, thinking of something to say. “I see yer boyfriend got taken in the end?” You hum, mostly amused but in truth you did want to know if that was what had happened. The question gets Izzy to turn to you swiftly, but the tone of his reply is not affected by it. “He’s still rubbing off on ye. Suppose it’s better you’re tagging along, we’ll get you back on fuckin’ track.” He shakes his head in a disapproving manner, but you see the hint of amusement after his own reply. “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you insist. Perhaps he was right, but what else could you have done? You’d been with that menace of a man for years, it was only a matter of time until you would have become a copy of him. Well so you had feared. “Was welcomin’ ye back,” Izzy explains himself. But you had already caught on, just felt the need to be difficult. “So you did miss me, hah!” You chuckle, a little louder than you intended. Perhaps wanting the confirmation more for yourself than anything. In hopes that the earlier thought of erosion had just been a figment of imagination. But the comment only gains a look from Izzy, getting you to lower your voice.
You drag yourself to a better sitting position, leaning towards the man a little. The bottle in his hand was clearly already empty, yet he attempted to take a swig from it. Perhaps to put out something within him, maybe to get out of the awkward environment you insisted on creating to amuse yourself. But in that moment you let any logical thought go. Taking a gentle hold of his wrist, enough to let him pull away is he so pleased. Yet tight enough to pull him towards you. A test of sorts, to see if he was up for it. To try and light a spark once more, see if it would catch fire this time around. And it takes him quite a while to decide, reluctant. Yet, with a swift motion he kisses you. Giving in to your almost childish suggestion. But that was what lit the spark once more, the same feeling from the past returning. As quick as he had been to pull away, you could have sworn the nostalgic feeling of it all lingered in the air.
His eyes were focused on you, a hint of fear in them. You couldn’t understand why, almost coming up with a conclusion as to what you had done wrong. Had you taken too tight of a hold of him? Did he regret what he’d done? Wish to take the action back? It scared you. But you weren’t going to let him see that, instead offering the frightened man a smile. Maybe it eased his mind on the matter, leaving more of a conflicted look on his face.
You let your mind at ease with the thought of all the years that had passed. What did you know of where he’d been and what trouble had he faced? Perhaps he would tell you one day if you stayed a while longer. But right now, it seemed as if he’d been craving for such attention from someone, yet never received it. And if that was the case, you wanted to be a source of that for him.
But that train of thought was interrupted early on by a gasp. Not the kind you’d hear when someone was frightened or surprised, but the sweet kind. The kind you hear when someone gets something they didn’t expect. The sound was soon covered up, but you had already spotted the source of it. Stede. You’d seen his eyes leave the two of you, furrowing your brows in a mix of confusion and interest. The man seemed oddly invested in the two of you, but for some reason tried to hide it. You weren’t sure if it was for his or Izzy’s sake, but you were sure Izzy had heard it as well.
As you keep watching, the others swiftly turn to Stede. Not worried, but alerted by the gasp. “Perhaps we should head back. I had something left to do,” the man speaks and this time loud enough that even you can hear it. You can almost also hear the awkwardness in his tone, hoping neither of the men had noticed him staring. Earned a chuckle from you. You watch as Stede gathers himself from the sand, the others getting up as well with questioning looks. You turn back to Izzy. He had definitely heard the gasp as well, but the annoyance from it hadn’t affected him nearly as much as the kiss. Which you found endearing, glad that it hadn’t ruined it for him even if he seemed to have some kind of silent banter with Stede.
The three men walk up to the jolly boat. You smirk, seeing Jack wobble a little on his feet as they get to the waterline. You got up to meet him, not aware of your own tipsy state and managed to tumble forward a little. So much for the sea legs as you feel Izzy grab the back of your shirt to steady you again. Though he doesn’t hold on for long as he catches up on your intent, allowing you to wobble against Jack, pushing him just enough that he lands into the water. Only, if it hadn’t been for Izzy you would have gone down with him.
But with his help you had succeeded, laughing as the man groaned in the shallow water, throwing playful curses at you. “Not before you bathe. You reek.” You say, as if you’d grown some standards after hearing Izzy complain of your companion’s personality sticking to you. You hadn’t but perhaps you wanted to pretend you had, for Izzy.
You give Stede a slight giggle, watching the man step away from the splashed water. Only then noticing how the splash had wet your clothes as well, giving a grumble about it. Though it was all in good fun. “After he’s clean, we’ll set sail,” you give them a firm nod.
You watch as Jack collects himself from the water, seemingly trying to pull Edward in as well. You smile at them in amusement, the nostalgic feeling creeping back up. Even with the fancier fellow tagging along, it felt like a puzzle being put back together. And you hoped that it would last a little longer this time, not having to go your separate ways again. Because even one night was able to prove to you that you had missed them. Missed the banter, seeing Calico Jack and Edward together and mostly Izzy. And the spark that had lit up once more hoped that Izzy felt the same way. At least about you.

Fuck You Series: Final Part
genre: smut, bit of angst, fluff, band au, uni au, enemies to lovers au, crack, friends with benefits
Pairing: beomgyu x gn reader (afab tho when it comes to smut parts)
warnings: smut, sub!beomgyu, dom!reader, riding, titty sucking, eating out
synopsis: you and Beomgyu are both from infamous rival bands at the same uni, you being the bassist of your band: Blue Moon and Beomgyu being the lead guitarist of his band: Tomorrow x Together. You hate Beomgyu the most though and one night at a party you decide to “teach him a lesson” and become…fuck buddies ??
Word Count: 3k
song of the chapter:  yours - maye
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ryujin spits out her tea snorting, “Wait so you’re telling me, he got all weepy, confessed to you drunkenly and then you just dipped?!” Wooyoung begins snickering at this too.
Both of them had stayed the night at yours after you had forced them to abruptly leave the party last night and hadn't explained the reason until now whilst you were having breakfast, well more like brunch.
“What was I supposed to do?!” You retaliate back.
“You know, drunk words are sober thoughts...” Wooyoung puckers his lips into a kiss and adds on sound effects, moving towards you from the opposite side of the table with ryujin laughing.
“Oh shut up, Wooyoung.” Rolling your eyes, you fly your hands in front of his face to get him to stop whatever he was doing.
“I just have a little question though...do you like Choi Beomgyu?” Ryujin takes another sip of her tea, trying to feign innocence whilst also having the most smug look plastered on her face.
They both look at you awaiting an answer.
“Guys...” You roll your eyes but they just keep staring. “Come on, guys.” You protest but they still have their eyebrows raised at you, “Guys?! Really?!”
Did you like Beomgyu?
You’d been racking your brains about it the whole night and hadn't been able to get any sleep over it. Hearing him say that had got you extremely confused and taken aback. Of course, there was the possibility that he really was just drunk and saying anything but for some reason it didn't seem plausible to you.
If you were being a hundred percent, completely, TRULY honest with yourself, you really liked beomgyu’s company and you had missed him like a lot. You forgot how much of a big impact he was on your life a few years ago. Sometimes you’d just use the sex part as an excuse just to see him...sometimes...But that didn't mean you liked him like that. You just missed your old best friend. You didn't think about his absolutely fucking gorgeous face all the time, his silky, soft hair, his cute, deep, brown eyes and really, really nice long eyelashes that reach his cheeks when they’re closed, his cute nose, that weirdly shaped dimple he has whenever he smiles or eats and his pretty fucking lips you wanted to kiss all the time - okay, shit.
Maybe you did just have the tiniest, teeniest, smallest crush on him. If you’d even call that a crush. You’d just get over it though. Maybe you were just really sick right now. You kinda feel like you have a headache...
“Hello? Earth to y/n?” Wooyoung snaps his fingers in front of your face a couple times.
“I don't fucking know! Maybe...” You put your head in your hands, lightly banging your head on the table and groaning. Oh god. fuck, shit. How could this happen?! How is this happening?!?! How could you like Beomgyu?! Beomgyu??!!! BEOMGYU??!!
“You owe me $20.” Ryujin points to wooyoung and he sighs grabbing a twenty from his pocket.
“Did you guys make a bet on me?!” You lift your head off the table.
“Maybe?” Ryujin shrugs sheepishly.
“To be fair, I thought you were in love with Choi Beomgyu too. I just bet for drama.” Wooyoung also shrugs.
“I’m not in love with him!”
“Whatever you say.” Both of them speak in unison.
“LEAVE! THE BOTH OF YOU.”
Tumblr media
It had been a week since you last saw or spoke to beomgyu and the day of your uni’s music festival. Jay had hyped you all up and you guys have been preparing nonstop for the big day. A lot was riding on this, if you guys got first place, it was an easy ticket to getting signed and to a big and well known label such as Hybe. It could take years for bands to get signed and to a good label too. You guys could not let the opportunity go because who knows when the next time would be? Most independent bands don’t really become big by themselves. You were a little nervous to say the least. But also pretty excited.
After your band’s turn for their sound check, you could only wait along with the other bands, instrumentalists and vocalists behind the stage for the audience to start coming in.
You guys spot one of what you presumed to be Hybe’s casting agents in the crowd at the back, slick black suit attire, sun glasses and a clip board at hand. They were very intimidating and you all gulped at the sight.
After many boring, bad, mediocre and very few good performances you had to sit through for what felt like an eternity, your band and txt were the only ones left to perform and the only ones people actually came here to watch.
It was your band’s turn first.
All of you walked on the stage with your instruments, plugging it into the amps and testing for a second. Lights flashed down upon on all of you and you could see lots of little people down below, some cheering and roaring and some booing, being txt’s fans.
One of the heads of the music department introduced you guys and before you knew it, your newest track was being performed, Jay counting you guys in by hitting his drumsticks together 4 times and wooyoung starting to sing.
Your fingers glided across the fretboard on one hand and on the other hand,  plucking with your two fingers the strings, playing the catchy bassline. After Ryujin’s and Hyunjin’s really incredible guitar solo, it was your turn for your virtuosic bass solo that would make the crowd go “wild” too.
You guys did well. You could tell since the crowd applauded and screamed even louder than you thought was possible and you really think you have a shot of catching the casting agent’s eye.
Once you’re all behind the stage again, the five of you childishly squeal and jump together.
“We did it!” Hyunjin goes to high five all of you.
You feel Ryujin nudging you and you look at the direction she was indicating at to see Beomgyu and his members going up on stage. All of them wearing cool, matching outfits and makeup and Beomgyu somehow looks even more attractive than the last time you saw him but he doesn’t pay you any attention.
All of you decide to go in the actual audience for the last performance and you stand together looking up at the band performing, their fans cheering and your fans booing at them. Soobin was on the drums, Huening kai on the keyboard, Yeonjun on bass, Taehyun with his mic and Beomgyu on the guitar.
Admittedly, they were really good. I mean, you did play with them once, well not yeonjun but the rest and that was actually really fun. But your band were the ones that needed to win this.
There were times during their performance where beomgyu would straight up look you in the eyes and when you prolonged the eye contact, he’d quickly look away from you, taking his attention back on his guitar instead or the rest of the crowd around you but not specifically looking at anyone else in particular.
As expected, once they were finished there was also a big round of applause and cheers. And now you only had to wait until the judges would announce who the winner was.
The judges whisper amongst themselves for a good 10 minutes until they come to a conclusion.
“The band that wins this year’s university music festival is...TOMORROW BY TOGETHER!!” There’s an eruption of cheers and shouts and Beomgyu’s band jumping together.
Oh. You’re not quite sure how to feel. You’re not as upset as you’d thought you’d be but maybe it’s because it hasn’t really sunk in yet. Your chance gone. Who knows when the next chance will be. You look around you at your band and they look incredibly bummed obviously. But jay takes you all to the back where there’s comfy seats and you all sit there in silence for a while and then you all attempt to cheer each one of you up a bit.
“We still did really good.” Jay states, coming back from getting everyone drink cans.
“Yeah that was probably one of our best performances yet!” Wooyoung chimes in.
Hyunjin thanks jay for the drink he hands him, opening it before speaking up too, “Yeah and did you see how many people were there and the reactions to when we finished?!”
“There’ll be so many other opportunities. Why are we acting as if its the end of the world?” Ryujin chuckles a bit before taking a big swig of her drink.
“Yeah and it was really fun just being on the stage and playing.” You agree and all of them hum their agreements too.
Ryujin nudges your shoulder again but it causes you to spill your drink. You give her a murderous glare before you look to where her eyes are occupied at to see beomgyu.
“You should go talk to him you know.”
“What?! Talk to him about what?!”
“Just shut up and go talk to him.” She rolls her eyes and very aggressively shoves you off the sofa in his direction. You give her one last look that says ‘I'm going to fucking kill you’ before approaching him.
“Hey...”
“...Hi. Come to tell me how we didn't deserve to win and that your band was better?” He jokes, awkward tension in the air.
“No actually...I came to congratulate you.” You say mater of factly and give him a look as to say ‘why would you even suggest that?’ when truthfully, you probably would have.
Was that really all you were going to say? What else were you gonna say? What were you supposed to say? Was there something you were supposed to say?
“...And also...I hated you. For like, a really long time, think I just used the part that you ruined the band or whatever as an excuse but actually I hated you because I missed my friend that just left me. And I've been thinking and I don't want you to not be in my life again. I think...maybe...I have...”
Ah, fuck it.
“I really fucking like you Choi Beomgyu! This day was all I should have been thinking about yet the whole time I was just thinking of you! You’re driving me fucking crazy and it’s really annoying actually!”
He stands there, staring at you with his wide eyes, dumbfounded and in disbelief, “Oh.”
“Oh?” You scoff, “Is that all you’re gonna say? I literally just unwillingly confessed to you.”
“Well, you already know how I feel.” He says, referring back to the night at the party when he was drunk. “But I'll say it again anyway, I really fucking liking you too, y/n.” He’s got that annoying, yet endearing goofy smile of his now.
“Great so like...what now?” You scratch at your head.
“Can we just makeout first I’ve been wanting to for ages!”
You laugh at him but give in, pulling him in closer and connecting your mouth to his, plushy lips moving perfectly against yours and making out with him until it’s necessary to breathe. “Well we’ve done platonic, sexual, so let’s add romantic relationship to that list now I guess.” He grins at you.
“Hmm...okay.” You can’t help the contagious grin of his taking up on your face either.
“Y/N!!” Ryujin shouts out your name, charging towards you, slight smirk when she see’s what’s going on, “Get over here right now!”
“Why? What happened?”
“THERE WAS ACTUALLY ANOTHER CASTING AGENT FROM A DIFFERENT LABEL UNDER HYBE AND THEY WANT TO SPEAK TO US!!”
“ARE YOU KIDDING? OH MY GOD.”
She shakes her head, out of breath from running up to you. You look at beomgyu in disbelief and he smiles back at you.
“I gotta go now and speak to this casting agent”
“Okay but after this you’re coming to my place! And then we’re gonna cuddle for hours and I also actually have to still teach you how to cuddle because you for some reason, don't know how to and then we’re also gonna watch a load of movies!” He shouts back whilst you leave.
“Fine but only if I get to pick the movie!”
“What movie...?” He narrows his eyes at you.
“My favourite one.”
“That’s still your favourite film?! Do you know how many times you used to force me to watch that?! Like, fifty times!!”
“And it’ll be fifty one after this day.”
He sighs but gives in.
Tumblr media
“Stop teasing me, y/nnn! Just fuck me already!” Beomgyu whines, dramatically throwing his head on the pillow. You were at Beomgyu’s place now after the festival and you’d been teasing him for so long now, just fucking his dick with your hand and at such a painfully slow pace as well. “I’m so horny! We haven’t fucked in like more than a week.”
“God, say please then.” He really did have issues with patientness and you’d probably need to teach him that but not today anyway.
“Pleaseeeeee fuck me.” He pouts.
So you grab his dick and place it at your entrance, sinking down on it and he groans with knitted brows, his hands immediately touching and moving around every expanse of your body and bringing you closer to him. He was so touchy and needy today.
He latches onto one of your tits, kissing and sucking them and playing and groping the other, desperately. Seeing beomgyu suck your tits never fails to make you go absolutely crazy.
“I missed you so much.” He muffles in between doing this and then he lightly drags his teeth over the bud, making you gasp.
“It was a week.” You shake your head and chuckle slightly at him.
“Yeah well, I thought you were never gonna speak to me again. And what? You didn’t miss me at all?” He blinks up at you with his pretty eyes.
“Okay, I admit I did kinda miss you.” You roll your eyes and he smiles after hearing. You grab his chin, pulling it upwards and leaning down to pull him into a messy, rough kiss whilst you ride him and he moans into your mouth.
“Hold my hand.” He whimpers, and you do, squeezing his soft hand tightly, still kissing and fucking him.
You ride him faster and he lets out stuttering moans, continuously with his mouth parted and his long hair, messy and moving with each bounce.
“I’m so close” Beomgyu groans, his own hands grabbing onto your waist and pushing you down to meet his thrusts.
He starts rubbing your clit with one hand, making you throw your head back as you bounce on him and you move your hand upwards to play with his sensitive nipple, knowing he wouldn’t last long and his eyes squeeze tightly shut as he lets out one last pretty moan before you both are sent over the edge together, warm cum filling you to the brim as your own leaked out around his cock.
You’re both panting and laying on the bed when beomgyu suddenly gets up and moves down your body, situating himself between your legs and spreading them.
“Can I…eat you out?”
How the fuck could you say no?
He positions his face in front, looking at your pussy, then looking at you and then returning back to lick a stripe of your pussy slowly and then latches his whole mouth onto your clit, lightly sucking and swirling his tongue around it.
He continues sucking your clit but sloppier and messier and faster and you tug on his hair bringing his face closer and he whines out loud, adding two of his long, pretty, and slender fingers into you, pumping them in and out of you fast and making you moan.
“You’re doing so good.”
He gazes up at you from between your legs, his puppy eyes adorning his face. “I’m your good boy?”
How is he so fucking cute? What the hell.
“Yeah, baby you’re my good boy.”
And he dives right back in more intensely, breath catching as he gently shook his head deeper in your pussy, nose bumping against your clit and he looks up at you through his long eyelashes, eyes big and innocent. You swear you can cum at the sight and you do, bucking your hips again this face as he laps up every drop of your cum.
Tumblr media
You gasp when it comes to the plot twist of your favourite movie.
“Why are you acting as if you don’t know literally every line of this god forsaken film?” Beomgyu raises his brow at you, propping his chin on your chest as you both cuddled on the sofa. You abruptly stop holding him in your arms and he starts having a fit, crossing his eyebrows and whining in his deep voice at you.
“Suddenly, I love this movie! It’s my favourite movie ever!…Now will you go back to cuddling me?” You huff, but go back to holding him in your arms.
“So now that we’re in the same company, doesn’t that mean we’re coworkers! We won’t be like rivals anymore and we’ll be in the same building and I get to see you every day!” Gosh, he’s never gonna shush and let you watch the movie will he?
“You’re down bad.” You gag.
“That’s it.” He grabs a pillow next to him, hitting it in your face. “You’re down bad! You just like to act like you’re not but you are! Admit it!” He continues to hit you but you grab another pillow too, pillow fight ensuing.
By now, he’s taken ahold of your pillow as well, no weapon left to protect you and so you surrender.
“Fine, fine! I’m down bad for you!”
“You’re not very romantic are you? I’m reconsidering.” He jokes, getting up.
“Okay, okay come back. I’ll give you a kiss! And I’ll plan and take you out on the most romantic date ever for you I promise.”
That makes him come back.
“It better be so romantic that I cry with tears.”

There’s no me without you (2)
Draco Malfoy x fem!reader
summary: Draco and Y/N set some rules.
warnings: very long. Fluff, angst, swearing.
Next chapter

After speaking with Draco, you felt unsure about the whole affair. Was pretending to go out with him really the best idea? You had risen from your bed after a sleepless night of trying to process everything that happened.
One thing was for sure, you were well and truly finished with Cedric. He didn’t deserve another chance, his behaviour had been too strange for too long and it made you ponder on how long he’d been cheating on you.
Before departing, you and Draco had agreed to meet outside the grand hall to discuss your plan. As you sat at your desk, bright and early, doing your hair there was a light knock on the door. You assumed it was Draco but instead you were pleasantly surprised to find Luna standing in the doorway.
She gave you a big hug and stroked the top of your head “Y/N. Can I come in?” you nodded and she wandered through to sit on your bed. “Are you alright? I heard about what happened between you and Cedric with Pansy. I’m sorry.” you shrugged “Honestly Luna I was upset but I’m over it now. In hindsight, our relationship was over a while ago I’m not sure why I held on.” You admitted.
She took your hands and sat opposite “I’m glad you’re over it but it’s still extremely early days so, if you ever feel upset you know that it’s okay to feel like that and i’ll always be your shoulder to cry on. Let’s go down to breakfast.” Luna smiled. It was these moments that reminded you exactly why Luna was your best friend, she knew exactly what to say at the exact right time.
Wandering down to the hall you said your goodbyes before she went into the large room leaving you to stand outside, waiting for Draco. Only moments later did other platinum blonde stroll over, hands in his pockets and messy hair. You took in the sight of him and you didn’t like how it impacted you. He looked good. Like the type of good that gives you butterflies when you looked at him.
You compressed the small, annoying feeling as he stood in front of you. “Morning Y/L/N? Ready to go over the plan?” you nodded and looked down at your shoes “Yeah. Though I have rules of my own I’d like to lay down.” he led you to a behind a pillar so that you were both out of sight
“Okay that’s fine, I’ll go first. For starters, we’ll head into the hall holding hands and go sit at our table, it’s pretty easy if you ask me. I’m thinking we should also sit together in every class and at lunchtimes from now on. I’ll walk you to your dorm sometimes and then weekends we’ll sometimes spend together. I can bring you to most parties I get invited to. Is that good with you?”
You were perplexed as to why you had to spend that much time with him, was it really necessary? Maybe, maybe not. “Draco, that means we’re basically at one another’s side 95% of the time. Won’t we kill one another? I’d at least like to fit in some time Luna.”
He pursed his lips “Killing each other is definitely a possibility. Look, I know it seems a bit extreme but Pansy literally lurks or follows me around everywhere, all the time, so in order for that not to happen i think it’s necessary. Though you do have a point about Lovegood. How about she comes with us to a few parties I get invited to?” you shrugged with a wary expression in your face “Okay, that could work.’He slightly furrowed his brows ‘Don’t worry, everything will be fine. So what are your ground rules?”
you cleared your throat dramatically making him roll his eyes and laugh ‘Its obvious that people are going to ask about our private life. So by no means will you make up a story and tell people about what we do together behind closed doors, unless you have consulted me on it first. I won’t be slut-shamed by your asshole mates or anyone else for that matter. Also, you need to be nicer in order for this to work.’
“Of course but I don’t know about that last one Y/N.” Draco teased before you swatted his arm “I’m serious it would help you to be nicer.” he took a deep breath and lowered his eyes, mumbling “I’ll try.” you clapped giddily before offering your free hand for him to hold “Okay, pretend-boyfriend let’s get this over with”
His eyes flicked from your hand straight to your face “Wait, I want to make one more very crucial thing clear. If at any point feelings are caught, or there’s another party involved, being that you find someone you like and vice versa, we end it.” you held out your hand again and this time he took it “Alright, agreed. Now let’s go.”
You intertwined your fingers, walking into the hall and within 3 seconds, lots of prying eyes fell upon you and Draco. He felt you tense up at his side when whispers erupted from all four tables as you made your way to yours and Draco’s. He led you to his usual spot “Are you okay?” He said softly.
His genuine tone made you relax “Yeah I’m okay.” you assured him with a small grin. You sat at the two spaces saved for you by Blaise. As you both took your seats, you looked almost halfway down the table to see Pansy, who practically had steam blowing out of her ears, glaring at you with Draco.
Your nerves kicked in but were quickly changed into a strange, warm feeling as Draco placed his arm around your waist, noticing Pansy’s stare for himself. Blaise and Theo sat opposite, smirks on their faces, pretending to mind their own business.
That was until Blaise could not. “Merlin, who would’ve thought eh? The two enemies who hated each other most are now lovers.” he glanced from you to Draco. You took Blaise’s comment as a chance to make common ground with him as you looked at draco casually. “Oh...Draco, I didn’t realise you were dating Harry.”
Blaise nearly spat out his pumpkin juice before chuckling with Theo. You were scared the joke had annoyed Draco but when seeing his face, him he had an amused smile gracing his lips as he spoke sarcastically “Hilarious.” A few moments later, he squeezed your hip gently as to say ‘good job’.
You never realised how affectionate Draco was going to be with you even though you were both pretending, you didn’t like the way his touch made you feel, it was almost as if you wanted it to happen. You disliked each other, that’s how it was meant to be.
Blaise wiped the juice from his mouth with his sleeve, after his and Theo’s laughter died down “She’s funny. You picked a nice one this time.” Theo nodded in aggreement as he took another bite of his croissant. “I did. Didn’t I?” Draco said smugly before you all sat in comfortable silence for a small period time.
Blaise spun his fork around in his fingers with a questionable look towards you and Draco “I have to say I was surprised to find that you two are now together about 8 hours after finding out Diggory and Parkinson were cheating on you both with each other. Seems a little convenient that you two are now going out?”
Draco scoffed “Well Zabini, its simple really. Y/N and I ran into each other outside of the party. Funnily enough, we settled our differences due to being tired of the pointless insults, before finding Diggory and Parkinson together in an empty classroom after they lied to us about where they were. I comforted Y/N, she comforted me and we got to talking all night. One thing led to another and I asked her if she wanted to date me. Is that okay with you Blaise? Or do I have to go and tell the story to Mcgonagall and then ask for her permission?”
You bit your lip nervously as you waited for Blaise to respond to Draco’s mostly-true tale. “Cute love story Malfoy. Great one to tell the kids.” he winked at you, making you roll your eyes at him in response. However, he had now put the idea of you and Draco having kids together in your head. It made you shudder in disgust. “Don’t worry guys I think people actually kinda admire it in a weird way.” Theo assured you before peeking just above your head
“Apparently not everyone i suppose.” he contradicted towards the mystery thing standing above you and Draco. You both turned your heads back to see a scowling Pansy. “Draco, may I talk to you in private?” she spat through gritted teeth and narrowed her eyes at you. Draco stared at her, sullenly, before waving her off “Go away Parkinson. Go cry to Diggory about it, I don’t want to hear it and I don’t care.”
Pansy huffed like a child at the blonde and crossed her arms “Please Draco. I’m sorry, I love you.” People around you began to watch as she begged but Draco was far beyond caring, he scoffed at her “Love me? Well I can’t lie to you, the feeling has never been mutual. Run along now.”
He turned away before being pulled back around by her “B-but you hate Y/L/N! You literally made fun of her yesterday morning. You always speak about how annoying she is! Are you insane? Did she poison you with Amortentia or something? Draco please, Cedric was a mistake.” You watched as Draco grimaced at the pleading girl “Yeah she was annoying but then I realised you were worse. No one poisoned me with anything and I’m not getting back with you, piss off.”
Pansy looked betrayed and clenched her fists by her sides “Fine. You and your little blood-traitor girlfriend can go to hell.” Draco gave his signature smirk, tipping his head lightly “Nice to know that you finally refer to Y/N as my girlfriend.” Pansy went wide eyed before gasping and storming away in annoyance. You cheeks heated up as you heard my girlfriend roll of Draco’s tongue.
You desperately wanted to stamp on whatever feelings had bubbled inside you since fake-dating Draco. You cursed yourself once again for letting him have that affect on you within the space of a morning. Chuckling at Pansy’s outburst together, his arm returned to your waist as you finished breakfast. You nudged Draco’s elbow as he was reading a paper “You ready to go? We have Astronomy.” he looked up from the page and met your eyes “Sure.”
You both bid your goodbyes to Theo and Blaise making your way to first period, the hall was bustling with students but not busy enough for yours and Draco’s linked hands to go unnoticed. You felt like a celebrity, in a bad way. You were convinced people were speaking badly about you.
Draco instantly recognised your obvious discomfort and practically pulled you into the classroom away from the commotion. “Don’t worry Y/N, I get talked about all the time, it’s not a big deal.” you took a desk at the back and slumped your shoulders as he placed himself next to you “Look Draco it may not be a big deal to you but it is to me. It’s easy for you to say that, you’re the guy. It’s always easier for you the guy, everyone puts you on a pedestal and classes me as a slut for moving onto a different boy.”
Draco frowned as he set his satchel below his seat “That’s stupid. Anyway I’m sure it’s not all bad I mean, out of you and Cedric, you were the one who got cheated on. People must feel sorry for you.” You tightened your lips “Maybe. But I could say the same for you.”
Draco shook his head “Nobody feels sorry for me Y/N.” you raised your eyebrows knowing he was right “Point taken. To be fair Draco, you insult who ever stands in your way...literally. You are kinda classed as the school bully” he flicked through his textbook sighing “I’m kinda classed as the school bully? Yes I suppose that’s true sadly.”
You bit your lip feeling a small pang of guilt for the fellow slytherin boy. “I still hope you plan on trying to be nice?” you questioned teasingly. He side-eyed you and ran a hand through his hair “Merlin, we’ve been though this. I said I’ll try.....You really don’t quit do you?” You smiled brightly and shook your head “Not nearly as much as I should.”
Just before Draco opened his mouth to tease you, his eyes shot towards the door frame. “Don’t look now but Diggory’s standing at 3 o clock.”you took his orders and training your eyes solely at the slytherin crest on Draco’s robe. He suddenly looked at you and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear
“He’s watching. Pretend to flirt with me.” he spoke softly examining your features. To anyone watching you it would look as though you and Draco were in love and muttering sweet nothings at one another. You gave a flustered smile looking towards the floor, practically feeling cedric’s eyes burning through you both.
Just when you were chancing to look at Cedric and away from the floor, Draco titled your chin up to meet his eyes, keeping his hand on your jaw lightly. “Don’t look at him at all. Just look at me and just talk nonsense.” he whispered gently. You gave a soft, dreamy nod as you stared into Draco’s bright ocean blue orbs.
He was so so pretty close up, as well as far away and of course, the butterfly feeling began to occur again. You soon knew that it was your turn for ‘the beg talk’ as you felt Cedric stir from across the room. He casually walked over tapping your shoulder pulling you out of your Draco-induced trance. Your smile turned to a frown as you met his glance “Can I have a chat real quick?” he gestured his head towards the door.
“She’s busy.” Draco interjected bluntly. You placed your hand on his forearm “It’s okay Draco. Dont worry.” you stared at Cedric deadpanned and shrugged “Fine. You have two minutes.” You followed him outside the room closing the door behind you.
“Make it quick then Cedric I don’t have time for this” he trained his gaze towards you with a slight guilt “I’m sorry for the way things went down I was going to tell you.” you scoffed “Sure you were Cedric....when then? When were you going to tell me that you were cheating on me with Pansy?” you raised your voice at him, catching him off guard at your tone
“I wanted to wait for the right time to end it.” he firmly insisted. “That’s such rubbish Cedric, you were going to carry it on if we hadn’t caught you with Pansy. That’s another thing I wanted to know actually. How long have you been cheating on me? You may as well tell me now cause there is no way I’m ever taking you back.”
He leaned against a pillar, hands in his pockets as he mumbled towards the ground “3 and a half months.’ your jaw hung open, struggling to process what you were hearing ‘Yeah. No way. Don’t even bother I’ve heard enough. Have a good one Cedric, hope she was worth it.” You began walk back into the room and he stopped himself in front of you “So I have question of my own actually.....Malfoy? Really Y/N? You’re dating him now? You hate him and he’s always so horrible to you all the time. Is it just to spite me?’
You screw-faced him as he interrogated you “And you got to ask me questions since when? Why do you care? I didn’t cheat. I’ve done nothing wrong, we’re over, I can date who I like.” You were bewildered as to why he thought he could suddenly criticise your dating choices “You know, you’re a such a hypocrite. You have no room to talk, you were fucking Parkinson behind my back the last time I checked. Now get out of my way Cedric and don’t talk to me again.”
Unable to muster a response to your valid argument, you shoved past him into the classroom, strolling back towards your desk. You felt tears sting in your eyes, how dare Cedric stand there and try to make you out to be the bad guy and criticise you. You felt nausea brewing within you and began to panic as this was usually a trigger of your anxiety attacks.
Fidgeting in your seat Draco immediately noticed your discomfort for the 3rd time today. “Y/N are you feeling okay? What did he say to you?” Draco stared at you, concern written all over his face as he examined your nervous form. You did not respond and your hands shook as you tried to control your emotions. Professor Sinistra entered the classroom and your hand shot up at her appearance.
She gestured at you to speak “Yes Miss Y/L/N?” you took a breath in “I really don’t feel well, I need to leave.” you didn’t give her a chance to reply before packing up your stuff and abruptly leaving the room. You made your way to an empty corridor and found yourself sitting on the windowsill, looking out on to the courtyard knees to your chest.
You really felt pathetic. You were convinced Draco would probably break things off with you for being too emotional. You didn’t want to load any burdens onto him, he already found you annoying. It was a possibility that you weren’t ready for any of this and that retiring to your dorm and resting for a few days to process everything might’ve been the best option.
Wracking your brain for a couple minutes, you thought a lot about the way you and Draco acted towards each other even without the staring from others, you were actually kinda nice to each other, it dawned on you that you didn’t dislike him. Still, he wasn’t your favourite person but maybe there was a chance in hell that you could be friends.
You mentally began to torture yourself, watching the trees swaying in the wind outside ‘Pull yourself together Y/N, stop being weak....Oh what’s the point? Draco’s probably rolling his eyes and laughing at you, regretting his decision for this whole arrangement. Why did I let Cedric get to me I’m so stup-’ A hand landed on your shoulder making you jump “Y/N, sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.” You wiped your tears as a random boy sat opposite, you looked up “I’m fine thanks......Oh, Draco.” you honestly didn’t think he would come but low and behold, he did.
Draco wasn’t really sure why he came to find you himself. He guessed he felt bad. He too was slowly beginning to think differently about you. Taking a sort liking to you almost. He was unfamiliar with the feelings he had when he looked at you and that scared him. His knees were hunched to his chest, same as you, focusing his attention on the rings that sat on your fingers “So...talk to me.”
you were taken aback you never expected those words to come out of Draco Malfoy’s mouth “What are you my therapist? Thought you were a Malfoy.” you joked. “Yes but no, but you’re clearly upset again over diggory. Maybe talking could help, I’m not completely heartless.” Draco scratched the back of his head darting his gaze towards the wooden floors.
“Cedric basically pulled me out of class to give me a half assed apology, insisted he was going to end our relationship at the right time only to then have a huge go at me for dating you. Also we’ve both been cheated on for 3 and a half months, incase you were wondering how long him and pansy have been seeing each other. So yeah, he made me angry because he really has no right to criticise anything..what a fucking hypocrite!” you sighed defeatedly “Sorry to load this on you.”
Draco felt very bad now. He finally understood how bad things were between you and Cedric and that fact he only made it worse by insulting you made him hate himself more than he already did. “I understand if you want to end things. Maybe it’s not the right time, I’m just unsure about what to feel about everything.” you admitted. When he stayed silent, you took it as bad sign and got up to leave. You stood up only to be pulled back down by Draco and into his lap, wrapped in his embrace
“Don’t apologise. This wasn’t your fault. If anything I’m sorry I was so terrible to you. I didn’t realise it was that bad and I probably only made things even worse.” He muttered softly into your hair. your lack of reaction due to shock of what he was doing made him flinch to move away for split second, until you melted into his embrace and cried.
You sat like that for at least 15 minutes before your sobs reduced to sniffles. “Thank you Draco” you whispered sincerely. He smiled to himself as he sat you up and held your arm “I wanted to ask you a question a-and you can totally say no. I understand.” you nodded for him to ask away “What’s up?” he pinched the brige of his nose, embarrassed at the whole notion “I know this might sound stupid, possibly absurd even, but would you maybe....i don’t know w-want to be....friends? Or least try to be?”
There it was again, the butterflies. He wanted your friendship. You graced him with a small smile. “I don’t see why not” when he smiled back and relished in the sweet silence that followed, you began to understand a fundamental issue:
Even though it was fake and you hadn’t even been in it for a whole day yet, you were beginning to love being Draco Malfoy’s girlfriend. And that terrified you.
Ahh i didn’t really feel like there was enough cute draco x y/n moments. Next chapter will be better and more draco content. Hope you liked it anyways 💘💘

Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem!Reader
Warnings: None that I can think of, but please let me know if you think I’m forgetting any!
Word Count: 3.9k
Summary: You and Nat are starting a family. It’s challenging, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
A/N: Welcome to the first series I’ve ever finished! I was a bit hesitant to publish this because, it being my first series, I’m not too sure how good it is and it does hold a special place in my heart, but if just one of you ends up liking it too, it’ll be worth it. This part is all fluff, but there will be angst in future parts. If you’re not a fan of that, this can just be read as a fluffy one-shot :) And big thanks to @vancityfire13 for talking this through with me, I really appreciate it <3
“He’s beautiful,” you sniffed, tears swelling in your eyes and spilling over the edge as they built up. Your wife squeezed your shoulder, and a drop landing just shy of your collarbone told you that she was crying too.
“He’s ours.” You cradled the baby boy—your baby boy—in your arms as he drank from your breast. “I still can’t believe they did it.” You let out a watery chuckle in response.
-
When Fury approached the two of you after he “accidentally” overheard your and Natasha’s conversation about having kids, you weren’t sure how to react. It was no secret among SHIELD that the two of you were together. In fact, you two had become somewhat of the organization’s power couple immediately after the many rumors claiming you were together were proven to be true. Still, the thought of all their best scientists working together just to give you two a biological child seemed a bit extreme, especially since the two of you did want to adopt someday. Nat, being the overprotective partner she was, was ready to launch herself at Fury, but you managed to pull her back before any real harm was done (Nat later got her revenge, and she made sure Fury didn’t tell you about it; she ended up confessing when you caught her looking just a bit too happy the next day though). The two of you had many long nights of talking over his offer, and before you knew it, you were pregnant with your first child, a child that would be biologically related to you and Natasha.
You guys had spent many nights talking about what your baby might look like, whether they’d have your laugh or her athleticism, your humor or her determination. Nat hoped they would be all you, while you could easily say the opposite.
When it came time to find out the baby’s sex, it took some serious convincing on Natasha’s part to get you to agree. In her mind, having a baby was surprise enough; she had to remind herself everyday that you really were pregnant with your child, her child. She did not need another surprise when the baby came. She wanted to be prepared, and who could blame her? You, on the other hand, wanted to wait. It was just the sex, after all. That didn’t change the preparations much. Nevertheless, after some bribery and more talking, you reluctantly agreed to learn the sex before the baby was born.
Hearing the words “it’s a boy” sent both of you into a tizzy. Nat wasn’t expecting it, and neither were you. Sure, there was a 50% chance of having a boy, but both of you were just so sure that it was a girl. After getting the doctor to check for the third time, you finally accepted that you were wrong.
Then came the discussion of names. What to name him, should he have a nickname, what would he call your friends and family?
One night, you took Natasha out for a walk around the park (this was before you got so big you couldn’t see your own feet) and a nice dinner on the waterfront. With the lights forming a halo around her already glowing face, you told her what you wanted the baby to be named: Igor. The minute you found the name, you knew it was perfect, and when you found out it was Russian and meant “warrior,” well, that was just icing on the cake.
“I’ve already got one Russian warrior who I love and adore more than words can express, and I can’t wait to have another. You’re everything I love and everything I want him to be. I think that’s what his name should be. And I know that, with a mom as perfect as you, he’ll live up to it.” You barely had time to get those last few words out before Natasha leaped over the table, silverware clinking and glasses wobbling as she lunged to pull your face into her hands, the two of you melting at the lips and forgetting about all the other patrons eating around you.
“I love you more than you know,” Natasha let out between breaths, finally letting you go.
“I have a feeling I do,” you giggled, “because I love you more.”
“Impossible.”
“Nuh uh.”
“Yeah huh.” You two “argued” about that for the rest of the night.
Then came the nursery. Nat insisted that you only be allowed to help in designing. You were already seven months along, she said, and that was seven too many. Plus, she pointed out with a not-so-subtle wink, she didn’t need help when she had “guns as big as these.” With some not-so-gentle persuasion from Clint, you settled on a farm-themed nursery. Less than a week later, Clint had gone out to god-knows-how-many stores and came back with more than enough decorations and furniture to fill the baby’s room, the many leftovers spilling out into the hallways and even your bedroom (much to his dismay, you made him return more than half of what he bought). The nursery was completed within weeks, and then all the two of you had to do was wait for your little bundle of joy to arrive.
-
Insistent ringing from Natasha’s phone pulled the two of you out of your peaceful moment.
“It’s Fury,” Natasha huffed playfully. “He’s asking if ‘the gross part is over yet.’ You ready to show him off to the world?”
“My world is all right here,” you murmured, fully sincere in what you were saying.
“As is mine.” The redhead’s finger lifted your chin up, your gaze shifting from your little boy to the prettiest woman in the universe. “I’m the luckiest woman in the world.”
“I tell myself that every day,” you smiled, meeting her lips in a sweet kiss.
---
“Nat! Come quick! Hurry! I think he’s going to do it!”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” your wife responded with equal urgency. “You going to do it, Igoryok? You going to walk for Mamas?” The baby boy giggled, nothing but pure glee on his face as he pushed himself to stand. You held out your arms to your son, cooing words of encouragement as he stumbled his way towards you. He started maybe only four feet away, but when he finally made it to you, you swung him into the air and you and Nat cheered like he had just finished first in the 400 metres at the Olympics. You could’ve sworn your life couldn’t get any better than it was at that point, safe, happy, and healthy with the two people you loved most in the world right by your side.
“Did you get it on video, Natty?”
“Of course, malyshka. Such a big milestone needs to be kept forever, isn’t that right, Igoryok?” Igor laughed when the redhead reached over and tickled him just under his chin. The two of you soon joined in, his joyous giggles impossible to resist.
-
“You’re an amazing mother,” Nat murmured to you that night as the two of you laid in bed. “And you’re raising an amazing son. I love you.” She tilted her head down to meet your lips.
“I love you too, Nat, but you’re also raising an amazing son. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.” She nodded slowly, reluctantly. “What is it?”
“I just… Being here today with you and Igor, it was perfect. Everything was perfect. And I hate how I have to throw us out of that every time I leave.” You frowned as you turned onto your stomach, pushing yourself up on one arm and using the other hand to cup Nat’s face.
“You’re not the only one working, you know. I feel that way too, every time I have to go on a mission or even just leave for the office.”
“I know,” she sighed. “But I’m gone so much more often than you are. Especially now that you’ve switched to mostly training others.”
“Just because you’re not here all the time doesn’t make you a bad mom, Tash. You’re the best mom because you love him with all of your heart and you’ll do anything for him. And-“
“I want to retire.”
“What?” Out of all the things that could’ve come out of Nat’s mouth, that was not the one you were expecting or prepared for.
“I wanna be there when he says his first words and when he loses his first tooth and when he goes to school for the first time. I want to be here.”
“But… you love your job.”
“I know,” she whispered, her eyes shining. “But I love Igor more.”
“And Igor will know that. Igor already knows that. Sweetheart, part of doing anything for Igor includes protecting him from bad guys. You do that every day you go to work. You show him you love him by fighting to give him the best life possible. If you want to retire,” your hand finally slid down from her cheek to hold her hand, “then I will support you every step of the way. But if you’re doing this because you think you’re a bad mother if you don’t, then you need to know that that is not true at all.” Natasha bit her lip as she thought over what you said. You gave her the time she needed, rubbing small circles into the back of her hand.
You would be lying if you said you never had those same thoughts. Both of you felt awful every time you had to hand Igor over to one of the nanny or even one of the Avengers or their families. The two of you loved them and Igor loved them, and they always took amazing care of him, but it was hard to not feel bad knowing your child wanted nothing more than to be in your arms. The first time Igor wailed as you handed him over to Laura, you filled out all the retirement paperwork the next day, keeping it on your desk for weeks before you eventually talked yourself out of it.
Just as Natasha was opening her mouth to respond, she was interrupted by Igor’s cries from the baby monitor.
“I’ll get him,” your wife reassured you. You nodded reluctantly, not wanting to stop the conversation but knowing you’d have to regardless of who left.
---
“Guess who’s coming home today, buddy?” Igor babbled random syllables back at you, grabbing onto your hair as you lifted him out of his crib. “Gentle, Igor, gentle,” you winced, slowly pulling his hands away from your locks. Sounds from downstairs had you looking away from Igor and towards the hallway.
“That must be Mama!” You weren’t too sure if he understood you, but he definitely fed off of your excitement, letting out another string of syllables and clapping his hands together.
“Hellooo! Anybody home?” Natasha’s red hair was the first thing you saw as you rounded the corner to see the front door. “Hi, rybka! How are you doing?” Your boy held his hands out to Natasha, obviously excited to see her. She grinned back at the two of you, but both of your eyes grew wide when he opened his mouth.
“Mama!” With that one word, you could’ve sworn your heart stopped beating. Nat’s eyes met yours, the love she felt for you and your son overflowing in the form of crystal droplets that filled her green orbs.
“That’s right, Igor, Mama. Can you give Mama a kiss?” You smiled as you handed Igor to Nat, your little boy puckering his lips dramatically to plant a wet kiss on her cheek.
“Thank you, Igoryok,” the redhead laughed. “He said ‘Mama,’ Y/N. His first word! He called me ‘mama.’” She was smiling so hard her cheeks were practically trembling.
“Because you are his mama. The best mama in the whole wide world,” you murmured, kissing her other cheek.
“No one could ever be as good as you. I love you so much, malyshka.”
“I love you too.”
“Mama!” The two of you laughed once again, your intimate moment interrupted but neither of you could complain.
“How was the mission?” you asked, both of you somewhat preoccupied with the bouncing babe in Nat’s arms.
“Good. Clean.”
“No injuries?”
“Not even a bruise.” You scanned her face and body to see if she was lying, and eventually nodded once you were satisfied.
“Good. Now, I believe it is someone’s dinner time.”
---
“Hi, Igoryok, how was school?”
“Hi, Mama. It was good. We learned about the letter ‘m’ today. Mama, did you know ‘m’ goes ‘mm’?”
“It does? I thought it sounded different.”
“No, Mama, you’re silly. Your name starts with an ‘m.’”
“Huh, I think you’re right. Did you know that, babe? Mama starts with an ‘m,’” Natasha winked at you.
“No, I didn’t know that, but thank you for sharing that with me,” you smiled back. “You're not going to say hi to me, Iggy?”
“Hi, Mom. Your name starts with ‘m’ too.” Igor bent over the center console in between the two of you. “Can we get ice cream? Please?” Your wife laughed before turning to you.
“I’m not too sure what that has to do with letters, but what do you say, Mom?” Nat asked, a smirk on her face as she emphasized the first letter.
“Um, it does because…” The two of you watched, amused, as Igor’s face scrunched up in concentration. Suddenly, he lit up, a grin overtaking his expression. “It does because ice cream starts with an “i”! And my name starts with an “i” too, Mamas. Which means I should get some ice cream.” He paused for a moment upon seeing the two of you glance at him expectantly. “Please?”
“You’re very right, Ig,” you smiled. “And for that, we can go get ice cream. But I thought you would’ve wanted to go to the park. We brought your bike.”
“You did?” His baby-tooth grin only grew when he turned to see the lime green metal and black handlebars peeking out of the trunk. “Yes! Mama, c’mon, let’s go!”
“You need to buckle up, Igoryok, or we’re not going anywhere.” The four-year-old rushed to his car seat. The minute he was settled, he began squirming again.
“Can we still get ice cream after?”
“Sure, Iggy,” you laughed. Nat removed her right hand from the steering wheel and rested it on your thigh.
“Alright, let’s go.”
-
“Mama, you took the training wheels off, right?”
“Yep,” your wife grunted, lifting the bike out of the car and placing it on the pavement.
“Mom, watch me! I’m going to ride it all by myself! Today’s the day, I can feel it!” You managed to grab him by the shoulders just before he could hop on the bike.
“Not so fast, what are you forgetting, buddy?”
“Uh, a positive attitude?”
“That’s important, but I think you have plenty of that right now,” you smiled. “Try again.” Igor bit his lip as he thought about what he could possibly be missing.
“I love you?”
“I love you too, but still not it. You remember this?” He groaned when he saw the helmet in your hands.
“I don’t need it, Mom. I won’t fall, I promise!”
“I like that promise, but I still need you to promise to wear this. Okay?”
“But I don’t want to,” he pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. Your wife bent down to reach Igor’s eye level.
“Igoryok, can I tell you a secret?” Igor’s tresses bounced as he turned his gaze to Nat, his eyes filled with skepticism. “Well, you know how Mama wears her helmet whenever she goes out on her bike? You wanna know why I do it?”
“Why?” he asked, his skepticism fading into intrigue.
“It helps me balance and makes me go faster. I can’t ride as well as I do without it. In fact, I think I might even fall off.”
“Really? But you’re so good, Mama!” Eyes closed, Nat shook her head.
“Only with my helmet. And only when I wear it correctly. Otherwise I’d fall right off and get hurt. So can you promise to wear your helmet correctly so that you go faster and don’t fall off?”
“Okay, Mama. Can you put it on for me though? I think you’ll do it better.”
“I’d love to, Igoryok.” You flashed Nat a grateful smile as she took the helmet from you to secure it on his head. “Alright, all set. You go get warmed up, yeah?”
“Okay, Mama, but hurry up!”
“I’ll be there in a second, rybka.” Natasha stood up and wrapped an arm around your waist. “Don’t let him see me riding the motorcycle when I’m on a mission.” You stifled a laugh, letting your head rest on her shoulder as you watched Igor waddle around on his bike, his sneakers lighting up every time they hit the pavement.
“I’ll try my best. Have I told you how good of a mother you are?”
“Yes, you have. Multiple times.” You didn’t have to look at Nat to know her cheeks were quickly becoming the same shade as her hair. “I just hope he’ll be this easy to convince when he’s not four.”
“We’ll, uh, cross that bridge when we get to it. Besides, it’s a little easier to convince him when he sees you as his hero.”
“Stop with the flattery,” the spy groaned, now extremely flustered.
“But you make it so easy. And so fun.” You squealed immediately after the last word and pulled yourself away from your wife. “Why’d you poke me?”
“Don’t act all innocent, you know exactly what you did.”
“I’m not acting innocent, I am innocent.”
“Are you now?” Natasha stalked towards you, a smirk on her lips and a mischievous glint in her eye. Before she could reach you, though, Igor pushed his way in between the two of you with his bike.
“C’mon, Mama! I warmed up!” With one last glance at you, Natasha sighed.
“Alright, let’s go, Igoryok. You just watch your back, babe. I’ll get you.”
“Ooo, Mom’s in troubleee,” Igor chanted, and with that, they were off.
-
“Mom! Look at me! I’m going to get it on this one, I can feel it!”
“I’m watching!” you promised despite having never taken your eyes off of Igor and Natasha the whole time. Igor flashed you a grin in response before putting his feet on the pedals. Natasha murmured something in his ear as he started pedaling. She had one hand on the handlebars and one on his back to keep him steady. The pair moved together for a few seconds until Igor began to speed up. Half-running, half-jogging, your wife finally let go of the bike with a firm push to your son’s back, and much to everyone’s delight, he kept going.
“Mom! I’m doing it! I’m really doing it!”
“Pay attention to what’s in front of you, Igoryok!” Natasha called when he began to swerve. Eyes wide, Igor managed to correct himself before he crashed into a tree. You got up from the bench and ran to meet the former assassin, but you kept your eyes on Igor the whole time.
“I guess this family has two biker babes now.”
“I guess we do. Look at him go, malyshka.” Her chest was puffed out, obviously proud of her son, his tongue poking out of his mouth slightly as he concentrated on turning around. Your eyes shot open when it seemed like he was going to fall, but he regained his balance and increased his speed twofold on his return to you. “Maybe we should try for another.”
“What?”
“Another, uh, what’d you call it? A biker babe?” Natasha barked out a laugh as you moved to slap her shoulder. “I mean, Igor’s been asking for a sibling for a while now. Maybe it’s time.” Natasha maintained her glance on your son, too nervous to meet your eyes.
“Another biker babe, huh? Or maybe another little fish?”
“Another rybka, yes,” Nat chuckled.
“Maybe it is time.” The former assassin’s shoulders relaxed as you slipped your hand into hers. “A girl this time?”
“We’ll see. It is what Igor’s been asking for, but...” A smirk played on your wife’s face as she remembered when you two first learned you’d be having a son.
“Natasha Jr.?”
“Oh god, no!” your wife laughed.
“Natalia? Natalie?” Natasha buried her face in your neck so that her lips were pressed to your shoulder. She still peeked out slightly to keep an eye on your son.
“Babe, we are not naming the baby after me.”
“What about for her middle name?” Your wife groaned as she hit your arm, but you could feel her lips curving upward.
“No.” Natasha paused, her lower lip stuck between her teeth. “What do you think about Karolina? It means ‘free man.’”
“Karolina,” you repeated. You would’ve teased her about already having a name picked out, but the constant shifting of her right foot told you this maybe wasn’t the right time. “I like it.”
With Igor quickly approaching, you ended the conversation with a peck to Nat’s cheek and bent down to greet your son. When he made it to the two of you, he immediately hopped off of the bike and ran into your open arms.
“I did it, Mom! Did you see me? I turned around too!”
“I did, Iggy! You did so, so good!” You pulled the boy onto your hip. “Don’t tell Mama, but I think you might’ve gone even faster than her.” Igor giggled, wrapping his arms around your neck.
“You think so?” he whispered.
“I know so.”
“Ahem, what are you two saying?” Nat had her hands on her hips as her foot tapped the ground, this time out of fake anger rather than nerves.
“Nothing, Mama. Did you see me? I did good, right? And my helmet helped me stay on!”
“I’m very proud of you, Igoryok. Both Mom and I are,” she murmured, tilting her head to avoid the helmet and kiss his cheek. “So now that you know your helmet is good, you have to promise us to wear it whenever you go on your bike, you got it?”
“Got it.” His locks bounced as he nodded his head. “I’m going to go again, okay, Mamas? And then later we can get ice cream?”
“You got it, bud.” You let him down, his legs wiggling before he reached the ground. The second he hit the surface, he was off.
---
You cherished every time you got to see Igor hit a milestone. You and Nat had each missed some—like you being away the day he scored his first soccer goal or Nat going on a mission during his first Halloween—but when you did, the other made sure to talk about it in so much detail you felt like you were there.
And when you were all there together… Your heart filled with pride whenever Igor did something new, but that feeling was nothing in comparison to seeing your son’s pride in himself and having Nat there next to you to experience it. Each milestone of Igor’s was so much better than you could’ve ever imagined because, with each one, you got to see your little boy growing, thriving. For each new accomplishment, you could feel the love between the three of you, practically pull it out of the air, make a cocoon out of it, and wrap yourself in it for weeks on end. Your little boy’s milestones weren’t just for himself, but it was for your family as a whole, the three of you growing closer and stronger with each step. You couldn’t wait to see what he would do next.

Angsty fight with Freddie??
A/N: Of course, baby! Here it is. Sorry that it’s a bit trash, I suck at angst sometimes.
Tumblr media
God, he’s so beautiful.
Tumblr media
“And how is any of that my fault?” You scream at him from the other side of the kitchen island, waving your arms around as you express your frustration.
“You let him touch you the whole night!” He screams while pointing at you, starting to make his way out to the living room, “Come on, Y/N, I thought you were smarter than this.”
“Are you serious, Freddie?” You say defensively, following him, “He’s my friend, I can’t just push him to the ground.”
“You guys almost fucking kissed!” He says, stopping to walk to look at you dumbfounded.
“He was blackout drunk! He probably thought I was someone else.”
He shakes his head and looks outside the window of the apartment, almost as if he can’t bear to look at you.
“Like that's an excuse.” He says under his breath.
“It sure is.” You answer him calmer, and you notice, just by his expression, that he didn’t expect you to hear him. “I didn’t kiss him, he tried to kiss me. You can’t blame me for this.”
He shakes his head, still looking out of the window.
“Can you?” You ask.
“I can, Y/N. I can because he’s your friend.” He says, now bringing his eyes back to you. “He should know not to touch you, and not to fucking kiss you. Especially when you’re meeting my friends for the first time!”
You look down at the ground somewhat defeated and he lets out a sigh.
He doesn’t say anything else and you follow his gaze out of the window when you find yourself without words to say. Your mind is affected by the alcohol, and it feels clogged - like only half of the stuff you want to say actually comes out of your mouth.
You feel so ridiculous when arguing with Freddie. But he’s right, in a way. Today was supposed to be special and it was really important to him. You were finally going to meet his friends/teammates after dating for almost 5 months.
It was supposed to be perfect, but it wasn’t.
It began as planned: you met up with Freddie at the front of a bar. It wasn’t as busy as you expected it to be, and inside there were just a few people scattered around the big room. Some of them were his friends, who were sitting by a table.
For the first hours, everything went super well. They were all extremely nice to you, and they were always starting a conversation with you. And all of that happened while Freddie sat beside you, with a proud smile on his face, and with his arm around you securely.
It was going great. No problems, yet.
As the bar got busier, it also began to be as claustrophobic as you expected it to be in the beginning. Everyone started to be squished onto the sides of their tables to let others pass onto the bar to get drinks, and at one point, everyone is already used to getting elbowed in the back and having someone glued to their ass and back.
That’s exactly when a high school (guy) friend of yours appears.
Thankfully, some of Freddie’s friends had left by then, leaving you with only 2 of them, which were too deep in a conversation with him to notice.
Your friend said ‘hello’ to you with a hug and a small wave to everyone else at the table, and right off the bat, you knew this wasn’t going to be good. He’s a super handsy person, especially when drunk, and today is not a good day for that.
But that’s exactly what happened.
You introduced him to Freddie, who you said very clearly that it’s your boyfriend. And from a mile away anyone could tell how much Freddie did not look, in any way, comfortable or understanding towards the guy after whatever hug he just pulled you in.
To be honest, you expected your friend to just say ‘hi’ and go, but that is surely the opposite of what happened since the bar is so packed, it just made him lean in closer and not walk away, at all.
So, he stayed there the whole night, sitting by you and Freddie’s friends.
His arm would wrap around your shoulders out of nowhere or he would kiss your cheek and say - innocent - things in your ear.
Freddie’s friends didn’t seem to care, at least to you, over what was happening due to how much alcohol they had, but Freddie surely did. He tightened his hold around your waist and pulled you close a bunch of times, but your friend never got the memo.
The whole rest of the night was like that, and he drew Freddie’s last straw when he leaned in for a kiss. Hand on the back of your neck and everything.
You turned your head over to the side and pushed him away ever so slightly, in slight shock, but your friend didn’t seem to mind. He still had a smile on his face.
That’s when he giggled at you that Freddie announced your goodbyes to everyone. He would not be willing to wait and see if your friend would pull another one of those unexpected kisses on you. He preferred to just go home.
And in a matter of a few minutes, you were pulled out of the bar with him by your hand and into his car, where you sat silently, letting the events marinate in both of your minds.
And now you’re here, in his apartment, staring outside of the window of the living room. Feeling embarrassment run through your veins, if not even pure humiliation.
Freddie’s mind is going a mile a second, thinking of all the possibilities that his friends saw what happened and will think all a bunch of bullshit about you. Make assumptions and judge you off of those.
It’s haunting him to the point where he can’t even hide it in his tone and facial expression. He feels god awful. For him and for you, all because of what happened. What if everything just went into shit with you and his friends, now?
“Look... I’m sorry.” You whisper in the silence of the room, “I shouldn’t have said anything to him when he came up to me.”
He doesn’t answer, just shakes his head.
“I don’t want to fight anymore, Freddie.” You tell him. “It’s stupid.”
He stays silent again and you force yourself to move. You step closer to him slowly. Your heels, which you still haven’t taken off, click with your steps, and Freddie tenses up when he feels your hand over his arm.
“I-” You try to speak.
“I’m going out to catch some air.” He interrupts you before clearing out his throat.
Your hand falls from his arm and you continue to look at him in hopes that your gaze will meet.
“Do you want me to wai-”
“No.” He shakes his head, bringing his gaze to his feet, “Go to bed. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
You fight off your overflowing emotions and heavy breathing, and you hold your own hand in front of you to stop it from shaking. You offer him a small nod, even though he isn’t looking at you.
You move to take a step back but, before you can turn your back to him, Freddie grabs your wrist and turns to face you in a quick movement.
“I-” He starts but cuts himself off to think, “It’s not your fault. You’re right.” He nods at you, “I just need to step out of the house to think, okay?”
You nod and Freddie notices the relief wash over your face.
“I’ll come back in a bit.” He says before giving your hand a small squeeze.
You give him a small smile and he steps aside to walk around you to get to the entrance of the apartment. You face the window as you hear him pick up his keys and soon, the door opens and closes.
You take a slow deep breath in and bring your hands up to your face.
What the hell are you supposed to do now?

In (Gold) Sickness and In Health
Pairing: Human Female!Reader/Thorin
Request: @anjhope1 requested a human reader with Thorin for the prompt: “I’m done. We’re done.”
Brief Summary: After the Battle of the Five Armies and Thorin’s actions under the Gold Sickness, you wonder if things between you and Thorin will ever be repaired.
Warnings: Violence and injuries
A/N: Gold sick Thorin is a gold mine (pun intended) for angst. Thanks to @anjhope1 for being so so patient and kind!!! I’ve never really written anything other than headcannons and I really enjoyed this!! I have a long list of fic ideas that I hope to write after school ends and this really got the ball rolling! :D
 @fromthedeskoftheraven (who inspired me to actually start writing <333)
 —————————————
 “Thorin?” You called into the seemingly empty castle. Your voice echoed hauntingly. No response. You turned the corner and ventured into the treasury, though a part of you hoped you would not find him there. It was the only place he ever seemed to be, and not for good reason. You followed the sound of digging and hushed whispers. There you found Thorin talking to himself in furious murmurs, his voice tinged with hysteria. He seemed to be digging through the millions of glimmering treasures, bringing each item close to his face for a thorough inspection, and then scoffing angrily and throwing it over his shoulder at the discovery that it was not, in fact, the Arkenstone. You approached him quietly, gnawing on your bottom lip worriedly. You were soon only a few steps behind him, his back to you, yet he made no notice of you.
“Thorin?” He didn’t even flinch. You, about fed up with all of this, put your hand on one of his shoulders and lightly shook it. He whirled around instantly, a mad expression on his face that only eased slightly when he saw you.
 “Ah, (Y/n). How have you been?” He asked absentmindedly, his gaze still stuck on the gem in his hand.
“Well, I’ve been better I suppose. Things are not looking good out there Thorin. I worry.” You made sure to keep your voice as non-confrontational as possible, because if you were being honest, you were a bit afraid of Thorin at the moment. You weren’t sure if you even recognized the dwarf in front of you. He finally raised his eyes to look at you. His lips curved into a slightly mad smile, one that showed altogether too many teeth. “You have nothing to worry about, my love. Once I have the Arkenstone, everything will be taken care of. The world will finally put itself to rights.” His eyes seemed to reflect the very gold covering the floor. You frowned at this response.
“Thorin, I know finding the Arkenstone is important to you, but I don’t know if it is the… greatest concern at the moment. The people of Laketown need our assistance, and there is talk of an orcish army heading our way.” Thorin’s head snapped up, and he took an intimidating step forward. You were almost nose to nose.
“Finding the Arkenstone is my one and only concern, as it should be yours,” he snarled. “Are you not on my side? Do you not want to see me as King?” You took a tentative step back.
“Of course I’m on your side, Thorin. I only want what is best for you.” Your voice turned stern. “But a King should be generous and fair, should know when to help others.
“A King,” he growled, “is measured only by the amount of wealth he has. If I don’t have the Arkenstone, I have nothing but these pathetic jewels.” You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Your stomach churned at hearing the words he spoke. This was not Thorin. The man you knew and loved, who once spoke so passionately of honor and loyalty. Your sadness and grief were soon overpowered by anger. Not only does he speak such horrid, greedy words, but he would dare be so dismissive and uncaring towards his own beloved?
“You have nothing?” You asked in disbelief, your voice hard. “What about me? Your wife, remember? What do I mean to you? We have spent almost no time with each other since Laketown, I am surprised you even remember my name,” you said bitterly. Thorin’s eyes seemed to lighten a few shades. But it was still not your Thorin. And his next words only proved that.
“I have not forgotten about you amralime. I will have you. Seated on a throne next to mine. Adorned in precious jewels and fine cloths. My most prized possession.”
You suddenly lost all of your fear. Fists clenched tight at your sides, you spat out, “I am not a thing to be had! I am my own person.”
“You are my wife!” He roared back, “You will do as I say, and you will like it!” Your lip curled in disgust and dismay at this.
“Is that really what you think marriage means?!” Your tone, while still angry, held a hint of desperation, as if you were hoping Thorin would apologize for whatever sick joke this seemed to be. But alas, that did not happen. He only stayed silent, his eyes unfocused. Whatever clarity they had gained earlier had once again vanished.
The harsh silence created a lump in your throat. You swallowed once, and in a shaky voice said, “Well, then. I am afraid I don’t know what to say. I don’t even know who I am looking at. Who even are you? This is not the Thorin I know and love, not the Thorin I married!”
His mouth opened in outrage, prepared to no doubt yell back, but you continued before he could get a word in. “You know what? I can’t do this anymore,” you started. You grabbed your marriage bead- elegantly and thoughtfully crafted by Thorin, and once so tenderly braided into your hair- and harshly ripped it out. You definitely pulled out quite a few hairs along with it, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care at the moment.
You curled your shaking hand around the small bead, and spoke. “I’m done. We’re done.” In a fit of intense anger and disappointment, you chucked your bead straight at Thorin’s head. You instantly ran as fast as you could in the opposite direction, fearing his reaction. You figured he did not see that coming, and was frozen in shock and confusion for a moment.
As you sprinted down the vast empty hallways, you heard Thorin’s enraged roar in the distance. You ran and ran and ran. You quickly gathered your belongings when you passed the room you had been staying in, and made your way out of the mountain. You said goodbye to none of the company. You ran and you didn’t look back. You squinted your eyes, trying to find your way in what was left of the daylight.
Tears ran in rivers down your face, and they didn’t stop. Not when you found Bard in Laketown. Not when you reunited with Bilbo and approved his plan. Not when you came across a small room to spend the night in.
You slid down the wall of the room, sobs tearing at your throat, as you looked at the split pieces of hair that once secured your marriage bead. How could everything have gone so wrong so fast? Smaug was dead. The mountain was reclaimed. Everything was supposed to be back to normal. You were supposed to be living happily in Erebor with Thorin.
But you weren’t.
You screamed into the night, “Why? Why?” Why did things have to happen like this? Why did Thorin have to be struck with the Gold Sickness after everything he had been through? Why did you two not gain happiness and peace? Did you not deserve that?
There was no answer. The universe was silent.
You were not only angry with Thorin. You were angry at yourself. Were you a coward for reacting the way you did? Did you give up too easily, running right when things got hard? Maybe you were a coward, but you simply couldn’t stand to see Thorin like that any longer. It made you sick to your stomach and tore at your heart.
With a wet laugh, you thought back to your wedding, which took place only about a month earlier. It is odd how things can change so much in so little time. That day had been the happiest of your life. Now here you were, at your lowest, with not even your husband to comfort you.
The company had been staying in Laketown for the time being. After a much needed relaxing night (free of the stress of orc attacks), you awoke blearily to Thorin’s smiling face. His rough hands tenderly cradled your face.
“Will you marry me?” He asked it in such a soft tone, and you were still so tired, you couldn’t help but wonder if this was just a strange, albeit wonderful, dream. After clarification that it was not, in fact, a dream, and a discussion with Thorin, you two decided to get married that very night. After all, you two were each other’s Ones. Why should you not? You were crazy in love, and you two hadn’t known contentment like you did during this resting period of the quest. There was also the lingering fear that one, or both of you wouldn’t survive for much longer.
After your affirmative response to Thorin’s question, tears of joy were shed by both of you. That day was full of warm, fuzzy feelings (and frantic planning by Dori and Balin, who despite being quite pleased with the decision, were extremely frazzled with the short amount of time left to prepare). You didn’t have an expensive, ornate dress (you borrowed one of Sigrid’s). There wasn’t a huge crowd. Just the company (plus Sigrid, Tilda, and Bain- Sigrid and Tilda because they wanted to experience the romantic declaration of love and commitment, and Bain because, in his words, his sisters “forced him to come”).
But it was perfect. It was all you could have wanted. Kíli, ever the jokester, insisted on being the “flower girl.” Fíli was the bead bearer (like a ring bearer, but with beads, because you and Thorin wanted to do it the dwarrow way). Balin was the justice of the peace. Bombur made a wonderful cake, especially considering the lack of resources.
It was a magical day. Your wildest dream had finally become a reality.
You remembered the vows from your wedding. You remembered the promise you made on that day. ‘For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.’ You couldn’t help but snort at the unfortunate irony of that.
You wondered what Thorin was thinking right now. Was the gold sickness still plaguing his mind? Or was he too thinking back to your wedding day, to the broken promises left between you two?
You crawled into bed and tried to calm your thoughts, to no avail. You laid your head on the flat pillow, feeling oddly numb. You let your eyes flutter shut, a lone tear escaping to trail down your now puffy face.
No sleep was had that night.
 ———————————————
 Around you, the battlefield raged. You had arisen early in the morning, for the orcish army was no longer just a rumor, but a promise. A promise of war. The knowledge of the bloodshed the future held electrified you, helping you to use your fear and anger to aid your fight. You wielded your sword with ferocity and confidence, a scowl on your face as you quickly swiped at the blood that dribbled down the side of your face. Your head swiveled at every sound as you frantically looked to see if you recognized any faces around you.
You plunged your sword into an approaching orc, making a face at the horrid squelch it produced as you pulled out your blade. You ran across the battlefield, swiftly killing any orcs that dared get in your way.
What you saw in the far distance, through squinted eyes, made your heart drop into your stomach.
You saw Thorin, fighting Azog on the ice.
You watched as the pale orc fell off of the chunk of ice he stood on, and into the murky abyss. You prayed to all of the Valar that he was dead. But fate was not on your side. You watched in horror as a knife plunged upwards from below the ice and impaled Thorin’s right foot.
You heard his guttural roar of pain, and your body moved into action. You ran as fast as you could, your chest and legs burning. But you were still too far away. Everything now seemed to be happening in slow motion. You could still hear the echo of Thorin’s cry in your head.
Suddenly, Azog jumped out of the water and landed on his feet. Thorin was on his back blocking each strike from Azog to the best of his ability. All that you heard was the sharp clang of metal against metal and your own blood roaring in your ears.
You felt something harden within you. You were no longer afraid. You had only one job, and that was to save Thorin. Azog’s blade was now only inches away from Thorin’s chest. Thorin grit his teeth and gasped deeply, using every bit of his strength in an effort to block the attack.
You were sprinting straight towards Azog’s back. You had absolutely no plan. Common sense and battle strategy had officially left the building. Yet your rage towards Azog, who had already taken so much from Thorin, fueled your fight.
You propelled yourself up, in a strange burst of strength, and clawed your way up Azog’s back, clinging to him. He grunted and twisted his head around. But before he could do anything more, you drove your sword into his back with all of your might.
Azog’s roar seemed to shake the very ground he stood on. Your hands, slick with sweat, burned as they tightly grasped the hilt of your sword. Your heart sped up as you tried to pull your weapon out to strike once again, but it was stuck. Azog turned, his face now pulled into a sickly sneer, and he slashed at your shoulder with his sword. You hissed in pain, and jerked yourself away. You saw Thorin breathing deeply and attempting to get up out of the corner of your eye.
Go, you screamed at him in your head. Go, my love. Leave and get to safety.
Seeing Thorin in pain, thanks to Azog, filled you with a boiling rage. It filled you up from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head- a fiery, molten lava swirling inside of you.
Your lips twisted into a ferocious snarl as your hands tightened on the hilt of your sword. You twisted the sword further into Azog’s wound, plunging it deeper into his mangled flesh. As you twisted one last time, you pulled it out with a hard gasp. Azog’s stinking, black blood splattered your neck and arms.
You still clung to the pale orc’s back and shoulders, your nails digging into his scarred skin. He thrashed and blindly slashed at you, but you held tight still. You kept your mind sharp, blocking and ducking to avoid his stabs. Reaching your hand into your bloodstained tunic, you hurriedly patted yourself down, frantically searching, until your hand was greeted by your hidden blade.
You grabbed the hilt of the sharp knife and whipped it out. You positioned yourself so that your feet were pressing into Azog’s back. You drew your arm back and threw the blade, with masterful precision, into the back of Azog’s neck. He roared once again, his head spasming, and made to grab you.
Unfortunately, this time, you were unable to avoid his grasp. His sharp nails dug into your neck as he grabbed you and pulled your body off of his back. He held you in front of him with only his right hand, the blade at the end of his metal arm pointed at your throat. You felt the pressure building on your throat, and a low buzzing noise started to take over. The blade dug painfully into your flesh, and you felt it begin to break the skin. All of your previous confidence had vanished. You were now at the mercy of the pale orc.
Azog gave a sickening smile, his pointed teeth glistening with blood. He issued a raspy chuckle that chilled you to your core. Time seemed to slow down once again as he drove the blade of his arm into your side. You gave a sharp intake of breath, as if you could not fathom what was happening, before you let loose an ear-splitting yell of pain. Your voice crumbled and cracked as you screamed until your vocal cords were weak. In the back of your subconscious, you registered a voice, desperately screaming your name. You struggled uselessly, trying to escape the pain. The blade felt hot, as if your insides were being lit on fire and seared open. You wondered for a moment why he did not completely skewer you, and quickly rid himself of your bothersome presence, until it hit you. He wanted your death to be agonizing. Slow and painful. You felt the blade being slowly pushed deeper in, creating a sickening puncturing sensation, and you could do nothing. It must have been almost halfway through you at this point. He tightened his other hand around your throat, and you saw spots floating at the edges of your line of vision.
You were dancing at the edge of oblivion, barely holding onto consciousness, when you felt your hand which dangled at your side, still clutching your sword. A glimmer of hope sparked inside you. With a guttural cry of pain, you used your last bit of strength. Your arm elongated at your side and rose before you swiftly cleaved Azog’s head from his shoulders. Your face was promptly sprayed with his blood and innards, before his hold on your neck loosened, his grasp slack. His severed head hit the ground with a satisfying klunk, his eyes glazed over. His body collapsed to the ground with a loud thud, bringing you down with him.
You gave a low groan of pain at the impact. Azog’s arm, still impaled in the side of your torso, left the two of you attached. You slowly took your sword, whimpering softly at the painful stretching the motion caused, and sawed off the small bit of flesh that attatched the metalwork to his body. You were left sitting on the ice, a blade sticking out of you, as a ringing filled your ears. You heard your name being called, and a blurry figure made its way into your field of vision. You squinted your eyes, trying to see who it was. Once your vision cleared, you breathed a shaky sigh of relief.
Thorin was here.
He hobbled over to you, his wounded foot dragging behind him. He lowered himself to the ice slowly. He looked at you with such sorrow as he scooted closer and cupped your face. His warm hands grounded you to reality. You felt every callous on them as he softly ran his fingers along the sides of your face, his touch only a whisper.
“Ghivashel,” he started, his voice cracking. “I-
“No,” you interrupted, your voice hoarse from the abuse it had endured. You gave a pathetic cough and said once more in a slightly stronger voice, “No. Not right now.”
Tears ran down his face, their clean tracks a stark contrast to the dirtied skin it ran down. “I am so sorry. So very sorry. I cannot even begin to apologize for all I have-“
You reached forward and put your finger against Thorin’s lips. You gave a soft smile. “I know,” you replied. You brushed his hair out of his face gently. “We have much to discuss. Many things have been left unsaid.” You gazed into his warm blue eyes, “But right now, just be here. Be here with me, my love.”
Thorin’s lips quivered slightly as he gave a sad smile of agreement. He gently positioned you so that your head was resting in his lap. You gazed up into his face. The soft cloth of his tunic tickled the back of your neck. The warmth of his body was much more comforting compared to the harsh cold of the ice you both lie on. The pain would have been almost unbearable, but Thorin’s presence was like a balm to both your soul and body. He took on a tinge of panic as his eyes locked onto the blade sticking out of your side. Knowing he should not simply pull the weapon out, he quickly tore fabric from his body and wrapped your side with it, securing the sword into place, so it wouldn’t move and cause more damage. You reached out and grasped his hand, your fingers shaking slightly as they ran over his bloodied knuckles.
“Thorin,” you rasped. “You are here.”
“Aye,” he replied softly, his eyes glistening in the light.
“My bead,” you begged. Thorin looked confused for a moment, before understanding lit up his eyes. He pulled out your marriage bead, that you had thrown at him not long ago, from inside his tunic. He had evidently kept it on himself. He took your hair into his hands, and quickly wove a small braid into your hair, placing the bead at the end of it. He moved aside his own hair, showing you his marriage bead that still lie in his own braid. You gave a watery smile as you clutched at his hand.
After a pause, you spoke. “You are mine, and I am yours.”
“Always,” he replied, his voice strong. “My wife,” he added after a moment, the word an unspoken promise. My husband, you thought warmly. He ducked his head down to meet your own, and placed a soft, lingering kiss on your lips, his hand cradling the back of your neck. You responded in kind, deepening the kiss. You felt as if the part of yourself that had broken earlier had been sewn back together. You were whole again. You let out a soft sigh of contentment as Thorin pressed his forehead gently to rest on your own, his eyelids fluttering shut in the moment.
The King slid himself down, so that he too was laying down. Your head rested on his chest. His large hand rubbed soothing circles gently on your back as you breathed shakily in and out. You gazed out over the ice and saw eagles flying in the distance. You gave a grin of relief and squeezed Thorin’s hand. Healers were rapidly bustling about, gathering the wounded and tending to them. You had no doubt that you and Thorin would receive the help you required soon.
But for now, you were here. And he was here. You were together at last, once again. Your hands intertwined in each other’s, your head tucked under his chin as he planted soft kisses on your head and murmured soothing words into your hair.
“My King,” you said softly, petting the soft hair of his beard as your hand ran over his jaw.
“My Queen,” he responded, his voice full of emotion, as he pulled you into one more kiss, your bodies melding closer together.
The eagles were coming. And all was well.

  A/N 2: I hope you guys liked that! I am very new to writing, so I know I have lots of room for improvement, but I really enjoyed writing this. By the way, I do not picture Thorin and the reader dying at the end, but it is kind of a vague ending, so if you want to imagine that happening, no problem! (It would be quite tragically romantic, them dying in each other’s arms). Though personally, I like to imagine that they both eventually recover from their injuries and everyone lives happily ever after in Erebor with their beloved King and Queen under the mountain! :)

As he walked through the halls towards his next class, he made a vow to himself to try and feel that unfamiliar emotion until he could name it, then keep feeling it, because, for Satan, it felt like Y/N was right next to them, with their signature smile on their face, proud of him for focusing on a feeling opposite of his wrath. Should he start to feel his wrath taking over, he would picture Y/N, holding his hand, encouraging him to feel that unfamiliar emotion. One he soon learned was called ‘Philia Love’.

CHAPTER 7 - Virtue of Loyalty (4265 words)
Our trip to the palace was a quiet one. Michael didn’t seem to want anything to do with me since he flew quite fast and left me behind multiple times as I'd never flown before and flying was extremely difficult. No one offered any assistance so I tucked my wings away, which I managed to figure out how to do after I accidentally did so mid flight, and ran under him. Looking straight ahead after confirming that I was keeping pace with Michael, I spotted the Celestial Palace. My jaw dropped in awe as I ran. The thing was massive! At least 2.5 times the size of Diavolo’s castle and even more decorative. The white walls were adorned with varying shades of golden accents making the palace seem larger than it really was. As I got closer, I learned that it was sitting in the middle of a massive garden that was overflowing with different kinds of celestial plants and trees. Although both the palace and garden seemed to be overflowing with decorations, everything still fit perfectly and was quite pleasing to the eyes.
Approaching the marble steps of the palace as Michael landed in front of me, greeting some gardeners as they stopped and bowed their heads to him. Signalling for them to resume their work, he continued up the steps motioning for me to follow. Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I followed him looking as unfazed as possible. Upon entering I found that the outside of the palace does no justice to the massive interior. Abandoning plan to remain as neutral and unfazed as possible, I gazed in absolute awe at the decor, my mouth opening slightly. There were no lighting fixtures as massive windows lined the wall letting in more than enough sunlight through. A massive chandelier was located in the center of the room with golden and silver chains decorating it. The marbled floor also had silver and gold accents as a beautiful floral pattern was outlined. Hearing a chuckle behind me, I turned to see Michael looking at me with a smug smile on his face.
“Well how can you not expect me to be amazed by all this?!” I countered while spinning and gesturing around the room.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Your smug smile said it all Mike” I flashed him a wicked smirk of my own as I called him by the nickname. His face darkened significantly as his tone dropped to what would have been a dangerous level had I not have spent my life with demons. It just didn’t have the same undertones as Devilish.
“Watch yourself child”
Giving him an exaggerated mock bow I responded.
“My humble apologies Sir Michael. I will be sure not to repeat the same error in the future.”
“Very funny.” He scoffed and walked off. I got up and followed him through the palace until we stopped between two massive golden doors to what I assumed to be the throne room. Michael addressed himself and stated that he brought me with him. 2 angels donning Celestial armour opened the doors. Michael walked in with his head slightly bowed and his gaze lowered. I walked looking straight ahead as I subtly took the room in. It wasn’t as big as I expected it to be. A golden carpet leading from the door to the throne was the most extravagant thing in the room. In contrast to the rest of the palace, the throne room was quite modest. Even the throne wasn’t extravagant, built for comfort instead of elegance. God himself looked to be a 6’8 man in his late fifties with chestnut coloured hair and a neatly trimmed beard. He wore a simple white robe with gold accents. His eyes, a light blue colour, were emitting a slight white glow as we approached. Michael stopped a short distance from the throne and kneeled.
“Father, I have brought Y/N on your orders.”
“Thank you my son.” He turned to look at me.
“Y/N, you have caused quite the commotion in the 3 realms.”
I kept my tone playful as a polite smile made itself home on my face as I spoke with God.
“What can I say Father, trouble likes to follow me, wherever I may be.”
“That may be my child, although I am quite confused as to how you ended up here especially as a seraph. In case you didn’t know, that position must be earned here in heaven, so please explain to me, why I shouldn’t forsake you and have you fall to the Devildom?” He raised his right eyebrow and relaxed into his throne as he asked his question.
“Oh make no mistake, I didn’t want to come here in the first place, had I actually had a choice, I would have gone to the Devildom where I belong. Unfortunately, circumstances never seem to be on my side.”
“That still doesn’t explain how you came to be here, in that attire nonetheless.”
“Does it upset you that I come donning Lucifer's clothing and wings? I assure you, I didn’t have a say in my appearance. I am only staying here as long as necessary after all. I still wish to fall and return to my family.”
“Tell me child, how is it that a human finds comfort in the likes of demons rather than angels?”
“Whoever said I didn’t find comfort in angels? I find Simeon and Luke to be quite comforting whenever I get stressed with this whole 3 realms stuff. I just find the darkness of the Devildom more appealing as you and I both know what lurks underneath this “bright” soul of mine.”
“And yet you came here to me, why?”
“I presume you know the details regarding my untimely end?”
“Yes I am, although you weren’t due to perish yet, I do not dictate the souls within the Devildom realm. What of it?”
“I sacrificed myself for the brothers whom I have grown to call family so that they may continue to live despite being ruled by a tyrant whom you rivel for the title of “Devil””
“Watch what you say child! You are still addressing Father and not some random person off the street!” Ignoring Michael, I continued.
“I do not wish to return to the Devildom while it is ruled by King Abandon.”
“Child, I am aware of your relationship to the brothers as well as your loyalty to those you call family. I am also aware of the feelings you have for my eldest son. I ask you, has anyone told you about his duties while he was serving me?”
“Yes, Simeon and his brothers would speak about his time here as the leader of the council. Lucifer himself preferred not to talk about it but he answered my questions whenever I asked. I have also learned his work habits and often aided him whenever an overflow of work had come in due on a short notice.” God seemed to contemplate something. With a thoughtful look on his face, he addressed me.
“I have a proposition for you. You wish to fall and reunite with your family in the Devildom. I do not wish to have you up here, although you do not want to serve King Abandon.”
“That is correct.”
“I will grant your wish on one condition. I will allow you to return to the Devildom after Abandon’s reign is over, on the condition that you take Samael’s position on the council. You are to take over his responsibilities without attempting to sabotage the realm or abuse your power. Should you not be able to meet my expectations, or should you abuse your position, I will cast you out regardless of who is currently ruling the Devildom.”
Michael, who had stayed silent while his Father was speaking, was shocked by God's proposition.
“Father, are you sure this is the right way to go? Y/N doesn’t even belong here. Are you sure trusting them with Samael’s old position is a good idea?”
“Do you disagree with my judgment Michael? Do you believe me incapable of determining Y/N’s fate in my realm?”
Michaels face visibly paled as he realized the implications of his words. Bowing his head in mortification he answered his Father.
“‘O-of course not Father! I just don’t think that Y/N is qualified or ready to lead the council. They are unaware of how the Celestial realm operates and doesn’t have the experience that Samael possessed.”
Scratching his chin, God thought about Michael's words.
“You’re right Michael, you and the rest of the council as well as Simeon and Luke shall serve as their guide during their time here. You are to teach them how we operate and train them as to how to properly fulfill Samael’s role. You are to step down as the leader of the council once they have learned how to fill in the role themselves.”
Not being able to object to his Father's words, Michael agreed, although he tried to hide it, you could see how he clenched his teeth, obviously disapproving the entire idea and his new role as your babysitter.
“How about it Y/N, will you accept my proposal?”
“I have a few conditions of my own I’d like to add. I will accept on the condition that I return as soon as Diavolo is crowned king, no later and that other than the obvious changes that come with falling, no other changes will be made to me. I will follow your rules while I am up here and will serve you as long as it doesn’t result in any harm coming to the Devildom or Earth and their inhabitants. I will fulfill my role as Lucifer’s replacement during my time here, no more, no less.”
“Of course, that goes without saying. I will also add that you are to have no contact with any being outside my realm during your time here. We wouldn’t want anyone coming up here to retrieve you before our deal has ended now would we?”
“No, we wouldn’t. I accept your proposal to be Lucifer’s replacement until the time comes for Diavolo's crowning. Until then, I shall serve you and the council to the best of my abilities.” I stepped closer and kneeled before him as he sealed the deal.
“Alright then, as you are no doubt aware, each angel on my council represents a virtue. You shall as well. While Humility does not suit you quite right, I shall grant you a new virtue. One that could be considered a sin should it be applied incorrectly. I think you’d like that. Rise Y/N, Virtue of Loyalty.”
I rose to my feet as an invisible force caused my wings and halo to appear. They glowed a light blue as whatever magic God was using to tie me to the Celestial realm ran its course. Once the glowing dimmed down, I tucked my wings back in and bowed my head once more towards the being I now served for the time being and exited the throne room, making my way back to the House of Honors with Michael close behind. As we reached the front door, Michael turned me around. A hard and unforgiving expression on his face. A look of outright hatred in his eyes.
“Listen Y/N, just because Father has accepted you into the Celestial realm, doesn’t mean the rest of us have. You are still an outsider and I frankly do not trust anyone who has spent so much time around demons. I will follow Father’s orders in training you, but know this, Y/N, if I so much as suspect you of doing anything to upset the balance in the Celestial realm, if you hurt any of the angels here, I will take matters into my own hands. I will not allow a being as tainted as you to wreak havoc among the angels. Am I understood?”
Meeting his gaze, a smile made its way to my face as I responded.
“I will hold you to that.”
He took one last hard look at me and walked through the door. Left alone on the steps, I thought to myself, ‘Soon my demons, I’ll be back, soon’. I walked to the gardens and spent the next few hours tending to it until dinner.
In the Devildom. After they lost Y/N
As soon as they got home, Mammon went straight to Y/N’s room. How could he let this happen? He was their first damn it! He should have protected them, he should have stopped Lucifer, he should have done something! He entered Y/N’s room and immediately sat on their bed, made messily in their excitement to meet the king. He held their pillow, hugging to his chest as he started crying. Too lost in his own thoughts, he didn’t hear Asmo following him. Upon entering the room and seeing the state his older brother was in, Asmo put aside his own grievances and sat next to Mammon and embraced him, letting him cry on his shoulder. This reminded Asmo of a time in the Celestial realm. They were playing with Levi in the gardens when Levi tried to show off his tree climbing skills. As he was nearing the top, Mammon noticed the branch Levi was climbing looked ready to snap. He tried to warn Levi but was too late as the branch snapped and Levi fell. Mammon wasn’t fast enough to catch him. Levi ended up dislocating a wing and spraining his right shoulder. Asmo remembered walking by Mammon's room that night and heard quiet sobs, he knocked and opened the door revealing Mammon sitting on his bed, hugging his pillow crying. He sat next to his older brother and hugged him, assuring him that it wasn’t his fault and that Levi would be just fine. Coming out of the memory, Asmo did the same now, hugging Mammon and reassuring him that it wasn’t his fault. He couldn’t have stopped Y/N from giving that order and that everything will be ok.
“Will it be though? It just won’t be the same without them.”
“I know. It will be hard, Y/N was our family, but we’ll be there for each other.”
They slept together, holding each other in Y/N’s bed comforting each other until they fell asleep.

It was an ordinary day for Mammon. He had just gotten back from a modelling gig at Majolish and was thinking up ways to spend the money he just earned. He was thinking of treating himself to a night out as he’d also gotten a math test back that day and passed with a 90%! Just as he was thinking about where to go, he felt the pull of a summoning. Mammon opened his eyes to find himself in an old cold basement. He scanned the room noting that the only lighting provided was a small bulb with a pull down string in the middle of the room and 3 small candles near the summoning circle. He found that the room was practically empty save for a thin mattress in a corner and some stairs leading to a door. He then spotted the one who summoned him, a little girl. She looked to be no older than 5. She was wearing stained and ripped overalls, one of the straps was missing. A light pink t-shirt underneath. Her brown hair was relatively short, only reaching her shoulders and was a tangled mess. Upon looking closer, Mammon noticed that she was covered head to toe in bruises and there were deep scratch marks on her arms and legs. He looked at the hastily drawn circle under him and found out that she drew it with some chalked rocks. She held an old summoning book close to her chest. Her big brown eyes looked so scared, yet if he looked closer, he could see what looked to be hope sparkling in the background. He could tell by looking at her that she held vast magical potential. Whoever put her here obviously knew the same.
“A-are you Mammon?” By Diavolo, she sounded so broken, like if he spoke too loud, she would shatter. Kneeling down to her level, Mammon put a soft smile on his face.
“Yes I am. What’s your name?”
“Cynthia”
“Ok Cynthia, what can I help you with.” Mammon doesn’t know what it was about the little girl, but he found himself genuinely wanting to help her. Maybe it was the way they looked at him with hope. Maybe it was because they were just a kid, or maybe, it was because her eyes reminded him of Y/N’s.
“I want to leave. My parents locked me in here. They don’t care about me. They only use me for their spells. Please Mammon, help me. I’ll give you my soul if you want, just please!” Tears came to her eyes as she pleaded with him to help her. Mammon upon hearing what these sorcerers were doing with their daughter, became enraged. He held his hand out to Cynthia with a smile on his face. He took the book from her hands and put it on the ground next to him.
“No, no, no. I won’t take your soul. It’s alright Cynthia, I’ll help ya. Why did you think I’d need your soul to help you?” “That’s what my parents said. They’ve been using me to try and summon you. I heard them arguing about who’s soul they would give to form a pact. Then they decided that they would give you mine. Mammon didn’t think he could get madder, but by now, he was seeing red. Not only did her parents lock her up, they used her to try and summon him thinking he’d just accept a child’s soul to form a pact with them! Mammon was beyond angry.
“Don’t worry Cynthia, the Great Mammon will take care of your parents! You’ll be out of here in no time.” Sensing his rage Cynthia grabbed onto his legs before he made it to the stairs.
“No, don’t hurt them!” Mammon looked down at the girl in shock.
“Please don’t hurt them. They may have done all these awful things to me but they’re still my mom and dad! I don’t want you to hurt them, just get me out of here!” Mammon looked at the girl like she’d gone crazy. Her parents, who have locked her up in a basement, used her for spells, hell even tried summoning him in exchange for her own soul, she wanted them alive?! He saw how genuine she was being and he couldn’t find the heart to say no to her. Instead, Mammon knelt down to her level and took her hand. Cynthia looked at him with tears threatening to overflow. Mammon brought his other hand to cup her face, wiping away a stray tear with his thumb.
“Ok Cynthia, I won’t hurt them. I am mad at your parents for doing this to you, but if you don’t want me to hurt them, I won’t.” Mammon then brought Cynthia’s right hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it gently. A yellow seal formed on the back of her right hand and a matching pink one on the palm of Mammon's right.
“Now we have a pact Cynthia. I didn’t take your soul, I took your sadness. Did you know that demons could also take emotions to form a pact?”
“N-no. Does this mean you’ll take me far away from here?”
“Yes, and it also means that you won’t ever feel sad again. I know a nice witch who can take care of you. She will teach you how to use and call me with the pact. This way, whenever you’re in trouble, you will be able to summon me without drawing the circle again and I can come protect ya.”
“O-ok.” Mammon then picked Cynthia up and walked up the stairs, kicking the basement door down he walked through the house towards the front door. Before he reached it though, he heard a scream behind him. He noticed that Cynthia tensed considerably in his arms as he set her down, hiding her behind his legs. He turned around coming face to face with a middle aged couple who he preserved to be Cynthia’s parents. Her mom then yelled at Cynthia.
“Cynthia Maxwell Daemon! You come here right this instant!”
“Shut your mouth lady. She doesn't belong to you anymore.”
“Nonsense! She’s my daughter. She is mine to do with what I want!” Mammon's patience was running out. A scowl appeared on his face as he growled out.
“Listen here lady, I’ve got some choice words for you two that I wouldn’t care to say in front of the girl, but the fact that you thought you could summon me and exchange her soul for a pact with you? You're crazy to think I’d ever accept that kind of pact. Now Cynthia and I are leaving and you ain’t ever using her again!”
Cynthia’s parents then realized who they were talking to and their attitudes immediately changed.
“Please forgive us, Lord Mammon. We hadn’t planned for the girl to summon you. We apologize for the inconvenience the child caused you. If you would stay, we could reimburse you for your troubles.” Cynthia’s father bowed his head as he addressed Mammon. Mammon on the other hand outright laughed at that statement. Turning into his demon form he barked out
“You think her summoning me was an inconvenience?! You two are crazier than I thought! Now listen here and listen closely, neither of you are to come near or look for her. None of you are going to use her again. We are leaving and don’t ever bother trying to summon me again. Ya know, you should thank Cynthia. If she didn’t plead with me not to hurt either of you, you’d both be dead. Make no mistake, if either of you try to summon me or if I find you anywhere near her again, I will rip your hearts out and feed you to Cerberus. Kapeesh?” The dark undertones of Mammon’s voice got through to Cynthia’s parents as their faces paled in fear and they quickly agreed. They begged for his forgiveness and promised not to harm Cynthia again if he could just stay awhile. Not bothering with them anymore, Mammon picked Cynthia up and walked out, flying towards the one witch he’d ever trusted. When he landed, he realized that Cynthia was crying.
“Sorry Cyn, I didn’t scare ya, did I?”
“A-a little, but these aren’t scared tears. I’m happy. Thank you for getting me away from them and for letting them live.”
“Of course. The Great Mammon keeps his promises.” Mammon walked up to the door of the small cottage. He knocked and a young witch with long blond hair, green eyes, and freckles answered the door.
“Mammon what a surprise! What brings you here?” She opened the door gesturing for him to come in.
“Sorry, not today Kelly. I’m actually here for her.” Mammon stepped aside, revealing a scared Cynthia behind him.
“Oh my Diavolo! What happened to you, you poor girl?!” Kelly rushed forward cupping Cynthia’s chin as she inspected her body, taking in all the bruises and cuts.
“Kelly, this is Cynthia. She summoned me to save her from her parents. I was wondering if ya could take care of her. I know ya've always wanted a kid, so…”
“Of course! I could never turn someone in need away, especially a girl as cute as her.” She said while pinching Cynthia’s cheeks. Cynthia giggled in response.
“Ok then, Cynthia, Kelly here’s gonna take care of you. I promise that she won’t act like your mom and she will help you learn how to use both your magic and your pact.” Reaching into his pocket, Mammon pulled out the Grimm he’d earned that day. He then put them into Cynthia’s palm.
“Here ya go kid. Now if you ever visit me, you’ll have some money to spend.” Mammon turned to leave when he felt a tug on his sleeve. He looked down to see Cynthia pulling him down to the ground. He crouched down. Cynthia then kissed his cheek, giving him one of the Grimm he’d given her.
“Thank you Mammon.” She then ran behind Kelly’s legs and waved goodbye with a massive smile on her face.
It’s been a couple years since Mammon saved Cynthia. She’d grown to be a strong and skilful sorcerer. He’d visit her often over the years with something in tow for her. Mammon never spent the Grimm that Cynthia gave back to him on that day. Whenever Mammon had a tough time with the numerous witches he’d find himself in debt with, he’d always find his way to her, and she comforted him, never asking for more than his company, something he was more than happy to give. His brothers would always know whenever he went to see her as he’d always come back with a content smile on his face. Deep down, he wished that Y/N could’ve met Cynthia. They would have made great friends as they were the only 2 people who could make him smile like this. Mammon may not have been able to save Y/N, but he swore that he would protect Cynthia, no matter the cost.

summary: spencer cannot wait to propose, but you accidentally beat him to it (spencer reid x fem!reader)
word count: 5k
warnings: some language! some minor angst!
author’s note: this is 100% based on one of my favorite episodes of new girl (google doc name is winston bishop type shit), also this is mega self-indulgent so if u don’t like dinosaurs and/or ferns i’m sorry :/
You let out a satisfied hum. Everything was quite nearly perfect. Presently, you were sitting on a bench next to the little duck pond in the park by your apartment, and you watched as tendrils of the weeping willow grazed the surface, sending gentle ripples across the water. It seemed to glow in the dappled sunlight. An adorable duck family was nestled into some of the reeds, and your heart was happy as you watched the mother tending to her ducklings. This was your favorite spot in the entire city.
“Hey, Spence?” Your head rested on his shoulder as he read one of the Ray Bradbury novels that he loved dearly. You weren’t sure which one he was on now; he’d been determined to read his entire collection this weekend and had been flying through.
“Yes, dear?” His eyes didn’t leave the pages, but you didn’t mind.
“What do you call a group of ducks?”
“There’s a couple names actually. It can be called a raft, team, or paddling; it’s a matter of preference.” Finally, he shifted his gaze toward you, and he couldn’t help the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. The flush of your cheeks and the wisps of your hair, he was so incredibly enamored, he loved you so much. And he was so excited to let you know so soon, but not quite yet.
“I think I like paddling.”
“Yeah, me too.” Shutting his eyes to revel in this moment, he pressed a kiss to the crown of your head.
“Hey, Spence?”
“Yes, dear?”
“Do you wanna get married?”
What.
Spencer floundered in the absolute contradiction of feelings that he found himself submerged in in that moment. Ice flooded his veins, and his face heated. His blood pressure skyrocketed, and oh God, it’s not supposed to happen like this. Yes, he loves her terribly, and yes, he absolutely wants to marry her, but he had a plan! An incredibly intricate and thoughtful twenty-two step plan that was going to take place over the course of the next month. It was all laid out in an entire binder in his desk. All he could muster in response was an extremely eloquent, “Uh—well, uh—”
Oblivious to his inner turmoil, you finally lifted your head to look at him with the biggest heart eyes he’s ever seen, and he can’t help but feel so, so guilty. “I just thought, why not, you know? Spencer, I love you a whole lot, and I’m pretty sure you love me a whole lot too. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I want the rest of my life to start right now.”
“No.”
Judging by the look on your face, that was clearly not the answer you were expecting. “No?”
“Uh, yeah, no.” God, stupid dumb idiot, telling the girl you want to marry that you don’t want to marry her. What’s the point of having 187 IQ points if you use exactly none of them when it actually matters?
“No, you don’t want to marry me?” Your heart dropped into your stomach and was falling further and further every passing second.
“Wait no, hold on—”
“No, I get it,” you choked out, hastily standing up from the bench. “Actually, I don’t get it, but that doesn’t really matter, I guess.” You jammed your arms into the sleeves of your jacket, so you could get out of this moment as soon as humanly possible. Holy shit, had you been blind-sided. “Um, I think I’m gonna go hang out with Penelope, might spend the night, I’m not sure. Enjoy your book.” And with that, you were speeding down the path out of the park.
“Wait, (Y/N/N)!” Spencer tried to gather his belongings to run after you, but you had a head start, and he couldn’t gather all of the books in his arms fast enough. Leave the books!!! Go after her!!! But you had already turned the corner and were out of sight.
With his books finally secure, Spencer sprinted in the direction of your shared apartment. He needed to fix this. And fast.
———
Morgan sat at his desk peacefully looking over the plans for a house he was renovating when the phone rang, and he couldn't help but internally groan at the sound. If Hotch is calling on his weekend off, so help him God, he would hang up and chuck the phone out the window.
Instead, he was met with Garcia’s voice, which was so loud he had to pull the phone away from his ear. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, mama. Let’s take it down a few notches.”
“Alright, fine, babycakes,” she hissed, and Derek was shocked at the unfamiliar venom in her tone. “Would you please be so kind as to explain to me why your dear friend Reid is the most evil, most reprehensible, most despicable—”
“Garcia, what are you talking about?”
“You mean that little rat boy hasn’t come crawling to you explaining his crimes?”
Despite his infinite patience for her antics, he sighed quietly. “I’m in the dark, baby girl, but I’m sure whatever Reid did, it can’t be that bad.”
“Oh, it can be that bad! He told (Y/N) that he didn’t want to marry her.”
“He did what?” Derek’s eyes were practically popping out of his head at the news. There’s no way that happened.
“He said that he didn’t want to marry our precious lily flower (Y/N)! I love that boy, but now, (Y/N) is here bawling her eyes out on my couch, and I don’t know what to do!”
His heart broke a little at the thought of his friend being so devastated, but he couldn’t help the roaring confusion that plagued him. Derek knew that Spencer was planning to propose to you; he’d seen the binder. He’d even been recruited to help with Steps 4, 9, 10, and 18!
Oh.
And that’s when Derek had a sneaking suspicion as to what had occurred. “Penelope, were his exact words ‘I don’t want to marry—” But his attention was drawn away from the phone by a knock on the door.
Speak of the devil….
“Garcia, I gotta go, but tell (Y/N) everything’s gonna be okay. I’m gonna have a word with our boy.”
“Oh my God, is he there with you?! That little bastard—” He hung up before her words could become any sharper, and the knocking became frantic.
“Okay, okay, I’m coming!” He jogged to go unlock the door. “You’re gonna knock the door down, kid.”
The door swung open to reveal Spencer, huffing and puffing with a red face and a binder in arm. “Morgan, I am the stupidest man to ever walk the Earth.”
“Did you run here?”
Ignoring the question, he pushed past him with an agitated step. “I am a complete idiot, a dumbass, if you will.”
Morgan shut the door and crossed his arms, walking to stand opposite Reid who had sat on the couch with his head in his hands. “Yeah, I might agree with you on that one. Garcia called me, told me (Y/N) is crying on her couch ‘cause you told her you didn’t want to marry her, which I know is not true.”
“I didn’t say that!” he cried, gesticulating wildly. “Not exactly. She asked me if I wanted to get married—”
“And what did you say?”
His hesitation was palpable. “...No.”
“Yeah, I’d say that constitutes dumbass behavior, especially because I know you only said that because you have your proposal all planned out, and you want it to be perfect.”
“Morgan, you don’t get it,” he implored, the desperation evident in his eyes, and Derek finally started feeling a little bad for the kid, an inkling of sympathy squirming in his gut. “No one deserves the most perfect proposal more than (Y/N). No one. You know how she’s always felt unwanted, and she’s told me that she felt like she always has to ask for love, and I couldn’t let her feel like that with me. I had to make sure that she had a special proposal because she’s special. And I want her to know without having to ask that I want her more than anything else in this world.”
Reid looked down at the toes of his scuffed Converse, hoping that he hadn’t permanently fucked up his best chance at happiness, and Morgan’s expression softened. “I know, kid. And I’m not trying to rub salt in the wound, but you do know that this was not the best way of letting her know that she’s wanted and loved?”
“Yes, I know, Morgan,” he muttered, voice breaking around the slug in his throat. “I wasn’t thinking.”
A sigh. “No, you weren’t. But I’m gonna help you fix it.”
Reid looked up with wide eyes. “Really?”
“You both deserve to be happy...even if you make some pretty stupid choices sometimes.”
Reid didn’t think he’d ever felt so grateful for his friend, and he offered a smile in gratitude. “Thanks. But I don’t even know where to start.”
Quirking an eyebrow and returning with a grin, Morgan picked up the binder from the table where it had been set. “I’ve got a couple ideas.”
———
“How is she doing?”
“Erm, it’s not looking great,” Garcia responded.
She was openly hostile when Reid had called her (he’d never been on the receiving end of Garcia’s wrath (so few people had been), and he was sure that was something he never wanted to experience again), but she’d finally restrained herself and offered a little empathy (not a lot though, she was too loyal to (Y/N) for that) when he had explained himself. However, when she’d been informed of the plan to apologize, regain your love and trust and to maybe, just maybe, ask for your hand in marriage, she had wholeheartedly avowed her support and pledged her help despite still being a little miffed at boy genius’ idiocy.
“She’s been sitting on the floor of the bathroom for an hour listening to Landslide on repeat and crying, so I would say she’s, um…not well.”
Spencer winced at that, and he felt physically sick at the thought that you were hurting because of him. His heart clenched unbearably, and he wished so badly that he could take back his words and just say yes, but unfortunately for him, time is linear, and he was just going to have to do his best to fix things.
“I just need a couple more hours to get everything ready.”
“Well, hurry up, pretty boy! I love our girl immensely, but if I have to hear Stevie Nicks mourn the passage of time and love one more time, I will lose my mind.”
“Garcia, please, just be patient.”
She groaned. “You’re lucky I love you.” And with that, she hung up.
———
You huffed a sigh, clutching to your chest a shiny pink pillow covered in sequins and giving Garcia the biggest puppy eyes you could muster. “Please, Penny, let’s not go out to dinner. Let’s just stay in and order Cheesecake Factory; you love Cheesecake Factory!”
“You’re right I do, but I love you more, and right now, you need to get up and get some fresh air!” The almost excessive amount of peppiness in her voice and her refusal of Cheesecake Factory was slightly suspicious, but you didn’t really have time to consider it as she dragged you up off the couch and to the door.
“Okay, counterpoint: what if you went out for dinner, and I stayed in and wallowed in self-pity?”
By the look on her face, you knew your evading tactics were not going to fly. She tutted slightly and said, “You’ve got to know I can’t let you do that. I’m legally obligated to stay with you until you feel better, that’s the deal when you’re friends with me.” She grabbed your coat, holding it open for you.
Reluctantly, you sighed and slid your arms in, grumbling, “You’re too nice for your own good.”
“Well, that’s very sweet of you, but let’s get a move on!” And with that, she herded you out the door.
———
It was a nice dinner, the two of you out on the town, and for a while, you were granted the solace of distraction. Garcia took you into the city, and somehow it felt a little easier to breathe there under the streetlights amidst a bustling Saturday night crowd. You nestled together in some street corner diner, ordering an absurd amount of food and jabbering on about anything and everything. If she noticed the moments when you fell silent, eyes distant and glassy, (and she definitely did), she never said anything; she just offered a new topic and redirected you from the very sad place that was thoughts of Spencer. And you would latch on eagerly, seizing the opportunity to forget.
So, you spent the evening with late night waffles and french fries and milkshakes and the unending source of cheer that was Penelope Garcia, and by the end of it, your mind didn’t immediately redirect to that morning’s tragedy, which Garcia would define as a success. Together, you found your way back to her car, and you tumbled into the passenger seat, your eyelids immediately fluttering shut. Penelope grinned and drove off.
When you woke again, you were engulfed in bewilderment and not just the regular post-nap disorientation. “Penny, why are we at the National Mall? This is the opposite direction of your house.”
She tapped her acrylics on the steering wheel and nervously surveyed the street in front of her, trying to escape your prying gaze. “Uh—no reason!”
Too exhausted from your day of grief and distraction to be suspicious of her terrible lying, you leaned your head back against the seat, watching the glow of the streetlamps as they roved over the interior of the car.
Garcia seized this movement to set the next part of Reid’s plan in motion. “Hey! You know, what’d be fun is if we went to the Natural History museum! There’s nothing better to cheer you up than dusty old dinosaur bones.” (She didn’t necessarily understand the appeal, but she was trying her best.)
A small chuckle escaped you. “As much as I’d love that, it closed at nine, so we wouldn’t even be able to get in anyway.”
Garcia’s mind thundered furiously as she tried to come up with some way to get you in that freaking building. “Let’s just walk past! Take a peek through the windows, see what we can see!”
Something in you sensed that she wasn’t going to let this go, so you relented as she finagled some sort of street parking that was definitely illegal. You could barely get your seatbelt off before she was dragging you the stone steps, the massive corinthian columns looming. You squeaked a quick Penelope! and tried to keep up. Entirely ready to give up and head back to the car when she tried the door, your mouth fell open in shock when it gave way with ease.
“Oh, look! It’s open! Let’s go inside.”
She didn’t wait for you to respond before she was ducking in the building, and you followed, completely and utterly baffled. Stumbling into the atrium, you were met by a receptionist at the desk. She smiled warmly, “Miss (Y/L/N), I presume?”
You nodded slowly before turning to Garcia whose devious smirk was undeniable. “Penny, what is going on?”
She grabbed your hands and looked at you with tears in her eyes. (Where the hell did those come from?) “Just remember that you’re a very forgiving person, and that sometimes the smartest of us can also be the most stupid.”
Furrowing your brows at that slightly cryptic message, you went to respond when the receptionist stood and said, “If you would, miss, please follow me.”
And so you walked with this stranger through the empty halls, the click of her heels echoing. It was odd to see a space that was normally flushed with people completely empty, and you studied the walls as you walked. “Um, may I ask what’s going on?”
The receptionist grinned, “I’m sorry, but I’m under strict instructions from Dr. Reid to not reveal anything.”
Strict instructions from Dr. Reid. You gasped a little at that, and your thoughts raged with possibilities of what Spencer could possibly have planned. If this was an elaborate attempt at an apology, you were a little overwhelmed; the little dispute this morning absolutely did not necessitate a response of this degree. Sure, you were disappointed, and you needed time to deal with it away from him, but you weren’t mad at him, not really. You had talked about marriage and knew that it was something you both wanted, but you had never discussed when. If he wasn’t ready to marry you quite yet, that was fine; you’d adjust. You were pretty sure you’d wait a whole lifetime for him. Besides, you had sprung it on him quite abruptly, and you knew Spencer and that he was not always well-equipped to deal with monumental change, and how could you blame him for that? You’d wait as long as he needed.
“Here we are!”
Her words broke you from your thoughts, and you looked up to realize you were at the Hall of Fossils. (You had always been fond of the dinosaurs.) Glancing at the girl, you asked, “What do I do now?”
She laughed a little at that. “Just go inside. Take a look around.” And with that, she turned around, leaving you to wander the exhibit.
So you ambled easily through the prehistoric relics and fossilized memories of a past Earth. It was rather haunting, the eerie silence and the illuminated dinosaur skeletons. You peered down at one of the explanatory plaques and instead found a blue post-it note. COLD. A grin wormed its way onto your face, and you jogged a little to the next plaque. GREENHOUSE GASES—WARMER. Spencer was always one for a game. So you zig-zagged through, collecting post-its. GLACIAL PERIOD—COLDER. CRETACEOUS WARMING. EOCENE KIND OF HOT!
With the last note, you looked up and gasped yet again. Spencer was standing in a sea of different plants and flowers placed throughout the central clearing, and donning his signature tight-lipped smile and your favorite of his cardigans, he gave you a small wave. “Hi.”
“Hello.” Your response was breathless, and now that you had met his eyes, you couldn’t tear yours away. A weight lifted from your lungs, it was such a relief to see him, and you hadn’t realized how much you had missed him in the hours you spent apart until you could breathe properly again. “Fancy seeing you here.”
He chuckled at that, but the tension in his shoulders never released; he was clearly anxious, but for what reason, it was hard to say.
An amusing gleam in his eye, he replied, “Same to you.”
“How did you get into the museum after hours?”
He took the moment to examine the toes of his shoes, replying delicately, “I have friends in high places.”
“Ah, Dr. Reid, I always forget that you ruled the world of academia before your time fighting crime.”
He paused for a moment before continuing. “Do you remember our first date?”
You gave him a tender smile, and his racing heartbeat eased ever so slightly, you just had that kind of effect on him. “Well,” you began, “I remember you were wearing that cardigan, the one that I love, and I was so nervous I thought I was going to pass out—”
“I was definitely more nervous. I was so anxious I forgot who Carl Sagan was at one point.”
“I’d forgotten about that!” You giggled at the memory. “But I remember being in this room, and we were making stupid dinosaur puns, and I believe I told you that you are dino-mite….”
He nodded meekly with a subdued grin. “I think that was the moment I fell in love with you.” Meeting his eyes once again, you felt the wind knocked out of you. The utter honesty you found radiating from his soft golden irises hurt your heart, and it was impossible to not believe him. He fell in love on the first date, how sweet and lovely and perfectly Spencer is that?
You took a breath and began to walk closer, skimming a hand over the lush greenery around you. “You know, the last time I was here, I didn’t remember there being so much flora.”
As if he had forgotten the miniature forest that surrounded him, he surveyed the plants surrounding him. There was a sea of succulents and ferns and honeysuckle and peonies and almost every other plant under the sun. “Yes, they’re a new addition. And if I recall correctly, it seems that lots of your favorites have made an appearance.”
“It does appear that way.”
He reached out to gently lift one strand of a nearby fern. “I believe you’ve mentioned before that you would ‘take a fern over a flower any day of the week.’”
“That would explain why they seem to be taking over the windowsills of our apartment.”
“True. Did you know that in the Victorian floriography, the fern represented sincerity and humility? So maybe if somebody had made a stupid mistake and they were trying to let someone know that they were really sorry, they might give a fern to say that they know they were being an idiot and they felt really bad for what they did.”
You laughed airily, “No, I was not aware of that fact.”
He closed the gap between you, reaching to tuck an errant lock of hair behind your ear. He simultaneously managed to pull a small bouquet of purple-ish flowers from thin air, causing more laughter to bubble from you. The laughing is a good sign, he thought, grinning. Keep going! “To really drive the point home, they might also give some columbine which represents foolishness.”
You looked up at him, your expression bright. “Oh man, this guy feels really bad.”
“Yeah,” he agreed before his words took a more somber cadence. “Yeah, he does.”
Your face softened. “Spence—”
“Um, before you say anything else, (Y/N), I just need to let you know how sorry I am for this morning. I love you so, so much, and I never want you to doubt that, and—”
“Spencer, slow down. Really, it’s okay! I’m not mad.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re not angry with me, but it’s not okay because you still deserve an apology. A good apology. So,” he took a deep breath, “I am so very sorry for my actions and for letting you think for even a second that you’re not the most important thing in my life, and I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you that I want to marry you when you asked because I do. I really, really do.”
Something warm and elated simmered in your stomach, and you beamed at him. “I’m glad because I wanna marry you too.” But before you could get too caught up in the moment, you remembered your earlier thoughts. “I don’t want to push you in any way, though, or make you commit to anything before you’re ready because marriage is kind of a big deal, and I’m happy to wait. Spencer Reid, I’d wait for you forever.”
“I don’t want to wait.” He shook his head and began digging in his pocket.
Your eyes widened in shock and spluttered, “Spence, seriously, if you’re not ready—”
“I am ready.” Finally, he found it and pulled out a small velvet box, looking you dead in the eye. “(Y/N/N), I have been planning this for so long because I wanted it to be perfect for you. You deserve nothing less than the absolute best, and I wanted to give that to you.”
His admission gave you pause. “Wait, you’ve had this planned?”
“I’ve been planning this for months! This isn’t me trying to fumble around and fix my mistake. I have a binder and everything, you can ask Derek. That’s the only reason I said no!”
“You said no because you had a binder for your proposal plan?” you teased.
You both broke out into laughter at that.
Recovering his breath and trying to suppress his ever-growing grin, he said, “No, that’s not why. The only reason I said no earlier is because I needed to show you how much I wanted to say yes. You deserve the best, you deserve every star in the sky and every beautiful thing on this earth, and I wanted to make sure I gave that to you when we decided to spend the rest of our lives together because I want to be enough for you.” Trying to swallow around the slug in his throat, he continued, voice breaking slightly. “This is me giving you all the love I have to offer. You’re it for me, (Y/N). And frankly, I don’t want to spend another second without you.”
He settled on one knee and opened the box, looking up at you with the gentlest gaze and a pounding heart. The wetness of your eyes matched his, and you gave him a watery smile. “I’m saying yes now. I would really, really like to marry you, (Y/N/N), if you’ll still have me.”
“Of course, you absolute dork.” Yanking him up from the ground and grinning like a madman, you grabbed his face and pulled him in for the messiest kiss. He clutched your waist and held you as close as he could possibly manage. (His desire to never be parted seemed to be coming to fruition in the sort of melding of bodies that was occurring.) Clashing teeth and knocking noses, it was hard to settle things when neither of you could stop beaming. Overwhelmed by the complete and utter joy bubbling up in his chest, Spencer hugged you tightly before spinning you in a circle, both of you devolving into boisterous giggles.
“Wait,” he murmured. “I forgot to give you the ring, I still need to seal the deal!” To which, you responded with another peal of laughter (something he thought he would never tire of hearing), as his trembling fingers floundered for the ring.
“I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works, but I’ll take it either way.”
He finally secured, and taking your hand in his ever so gently tenderly, he slid a glimmering emerald on your finger.
“Oh, Spencer, it’s beautiful.” He let out a sigh of relief. With light confusion, you asked, “What’s the sigh for, handsome?”
“I know you wanted a special ring, but when I went ring shopping with Derek, there was nothing I thought you’d like, so I special-ordered one from this shop that was going to be your size and everything, but that ring wasn’t going to be ready for a couple weeks. So today, when I knew I had to propose tonight, I ran to that vintage store you love and came across this one, and I thought you’d like it, but I wasn’t sure it was gonna fit, and—”
“I love it,” you looked at him, trying to will him to understand the depth of your sincerity. “And it fits perfectly!”
“How serendipitous.” He thought his face was going to split in half, he was smiling so wide. He couldn’t stop looking at the ring on your finger. How could one silly little rock make tears well in his eyes? Nonetheless, the sight of it made his heart race and his stomach churn with unrepentant butterflies because looking at it, he knew the girl he loved more than anything else on the planet, his favorite person had chosen to spend the rest of her life listening to his rambles and laughing at his jokes and sitting next to him by the pond in the park. The listless dream that had seemed so hopeless and romantic finally came to fruition in that shiny green stone, so no, he would not stop staring.
“Indeed,” you mused, subtle and irresistible risibility fizzing in the silence that followed. You contemplated for a moment before asking, “What do we do now?”
A thoughtful frown graced his lips, and then he shrugged. “We have the museum until midnight. We could just wander for a bit.”
Your eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and you tugged on his sleeve, your excitement palpable. “I’ve always wanted to be in a museum when no one’s around at night! Oh my god, Spencer, it’s just like Night at the Museum!”
He quirked a brow, and a sly smirk turned up the corners of his mouth. “Does that mean I have to protect you when the dinosaur skeletons come to life?”
You scoffed, “Please, we both know that I’d be the one protecting you.”
Another devolution into giggling. It seemed to be your thing tonight.
“Fair enough.”
“Also, do we get to keep all of these plants?” His eyes remained glued to your flushed face as you peered around the room. He wasn’t ashamed to admit just how besotted he was, shamelessly beaming at his fiancée.
“I bought them for you, so yeah.”
“Sick! Our apartment’s gonna turn into a little greenhouse!”
He extended a crooked arm to you, to which you looped yours in his and proceeded to set off on your museum adventure. You learned your head on his shoulder as you walked, completely and perfectly and incandescently happy.
“Hey, Spence?”
“Yes, dear?”
“I love you very much.”
“I love you too, dear.”

Tumblr media
The first time you meet Park Jimin is through mutual friends. On a firday night on December, with white, red and green lights decorating the streets of New York, filled with the typical hustle of the masses doing last minute Christmas shopping, the freezing weather impacting your body temperature, cursing yourself for choosing tights, a skirt and heeled boots that are too pretty but too uncomfortable to wear.
You had never considered yourself a particular enthusiast of Christmas festivities. You guess discovering Santa Claus was, actually, your parents before the rest of the kids in your class was one of the many reasons that made you grow up too soon and therefore, not allowing you to fully enjoy the month of December. Or maybe it had nothing to do with Santa, and more to do with your parents deciding to get a divorce a day before Christmas Eve. A traumatic event for seven year old you, but completely forgotten and overcome by twenty-four year old present you.
Growing up each Christmas suffering the consecuences of a shared custody would have probably had a disastrous effect on anybody else, but not you. Although the separation was a tough reality to accept at first, fortunately your parents were always capable of raising you in an environment full of love and affection, just like any other kid. And you prided yourself on having moved on from those circumstances a long time ago (even if your therapist disagreed and blamed many of your behaviors on it. Whatever.)
To put it simply, December was just not the month for you. It was just another month, like the remaining eleven of the year, except Mariah Carey's voice was heard every five minutes everywhere you'd go and people gave each other presents as if it was only during that time of the year when they remembered their loved ones.
The only thing you could thank Christmas for were the well deserved two weeks of holidays our work allowed until the new year's arrival. Fifteen days of rest, peace and baking those gingerbread cookies that Seokjin died for and that you sincerely denoted as nauseating.
You truly had no idea what exactly you did wrong that night. You don't know if it was something you said, or something you did, but what you did know was that Park Jimin pursued a silent and personal vendetta against you that continued nowadays.
"Here are your disgusting cookies, you filthy animal." it might have been that very first sentence you said when you entered the bar and reunited with your friends that didn't cause a good impression. "Shit, it's cold as fuck. My nipples are harder than my life." or maybe it was your selection of words while you waved every familiar face hello until you stopped to look at the only (pretty. too pretty, as well) one you had never seen before.
"_____, it's Chrismtas! Santa Clause will only bring you a lump of coal if you keep cursing like that!" Lisa laughed while she kissed your cheek and made space for you to sit next to her. "Oh, by the way, this is Jimin. A friend of Namjoon. He's a newbie!"
Park Jimin was stunning, you had no trouble admitting that. You weren't blind, you weren't stupid, and you could go as far as theorize that his dark eyes, his light and always immaculate styled hair, his sharp jawline and those plump lips as red as cherries must have been sculpted by Satan himself.
Fuck, you were even sure you'd be on your knees in front of Park Jimin in an alternative universe begging for his dick inside your mouth. But in the universe where you and the real Park Jimin reside, he would never come near you unless somebody was aiming a gun into his skull.
You're not precisely sure what it was, but a brief exchange of glances and an evasive and sligh shake of hands with Park Jimin was enough to make you feel ashamed and withdrawn for the rest of the night.
If Jimin wasn't even able to drop a polite "Nice to meet you", he sure as hell wasn't able to pretend you even existed.
Even the small talk you had tried to engaged with him about his shiny pair of shoes went terribly wrong.
"Oh, are those Dolce and Gabbana?"
"Dolce and Gabbana are homphobic, racist and sexist, so no" the grimace on his face should've been enough to make you regret speaking to him in the first place , but the snarky voice of his made you want to run away and hide from him until next Christmas.
In reality, you swore you didn't care. Seriously. Other's opinions were never something that could easily bother you or keep you awake at night. You had always turned a deaf ear to the cruel children that made fun of you due to your parent's divorce, you had always ignored the amount of men that never considered you "ladylike" enough (what the fuck did that even mean, anyway? what exactly made a lady and what didn't?), and you had always disregarded any envous comment surrounding you.
So, fuck Park Jimin! You had said to yourself. He's just a well mannered rich boy. Somebody who didn't resemble you in any aspect. A stupid, pretentious, spoiled boy who's had everything he's ever wanted in the palm of his hand, unlike you. Who the fuck cares what Park Jimin thinks?
But apparently, you did.
You would have never placed such importance to whatever it was that roamed inside Jimin's head if his appearances in your group of friends hadn't been so recurrent.
Because each time you were forced to see Jimin's face, you were also forced to experience a strange knot of discomfort and humilliation growing in your stomach in his mere presence. It's not like Jimin did anything specific to make you feel that way. He might not even do it on purpose, or his intentions might not be entirely evil. Maybe he simply didn't realize how he always avoided being by your side like the plague, or how his body immediately tensed and he balled his hands into fists everytime you were less than two feet away from him, or how he would look at you from the corner of his eye everytime you decided you speak, almost as if he was waiting for you to shut up to finally let out the air he was containing inside his lungs in relief.
Yeah, Park Jimin most likely didn't even realize he was being a rude and disrespectful son of a bitch.
And with time, you couldn't help but attribute that disdain and hostility that Park Jimin always directed at you to the many undeniable differences that constituted each of you. Park Jimin, with his impeccable and always well ironed Prada shirts, his spotless trousers, jewelry that probably costed more than three of your annual salaries, and always emanating that Givenchy fragance that screamed "wealth!" every rare occasion you could experiment his presence next to you. Exactly two years after that first meeting with Park Jimin, you hadn't been able to avoid reciprocating that feeling of contempt towards him. Not when you were the only victim of his arrogance. Everybody loved Park Jimin, and Park Jimin loved everyone.
Except you.
Clinging to your glass of Don Pérignon and finishing the rest of the liquid in one go, you try to snap out of your own thoughts, reminding yourself to return to the conversation you're currently having with Taehyung about a pretty waitress that he's met during one of his art exhibitions (or at least that's what you think you caught him say) and forcing yourself by all means to stop observing the friendly and kind smiles that Park Jimin was shooting to those present from across the room and that you will never be able to achieve.
"_____? Are you even listening to me, darling?" Taehyung's voice is what makes you finally look away from the dumb blond standing on the opposite side of the room, blinking a few times before clearing your throat.
"Sorry, Tae." letting out a sigh, you try to brush back and put in place the strand of hair that escaped the intricate hairdo you had tried and so miserably failed to do yourself to try to fit in and hopefully impress such environment of preppy and privilaged people (ahem, Park Jimin)  falling on your forehead as best as you can. "Just been really stressed this week and I'm on another planet. You know how I feel about Christmas. I think I need a new flute of . Or five."
Taehyung sends you a look full of empathy and places one of his hands in your shoulder, squeezing lightly in a comforting way. "I'll get you another one. I'll be right back." You quickly interrupt him though, to prevent him from standing up before you.
"No, really. I'll go. I need some fresh air anyways, if you don't mind." And of course Taehyung doesn't mind, so you get on your feet as graceously as your tipsy state allowed you to (who told you it was a good idea to drink three glasses in less than thirty minutes of the extremely expensive champagne Taehyung had brought to the Christmas party he had organized and why did it convince you it would appease your anxiey?) and make your way towards the table where the rest of the bottles are. A table dangerously close to the conversation Jimin and that friend of Lisa (whose name you don't remember) were having.
Both are with their backs turned and, honestly, you take a silent moment to thank God or whatever is up there because the last thing you need right now is yet another awkward interaction with Jimin, so you try as best as you can to refill your glass of champagne to get out of there as soon as possible, praying to make your exit going unnoticed.
But no. Because the stars and the universe loved to align to make you suffer! They love to play with your karma and they love making you damn that one day you didn't help that lady cross the street. They love making you regret buying those plastic straws. They love making you feel guilty for hacking your neighbour's Wifi when you run out of money to pay for yours. Because the moment you try to take a hold of the bottle in your hands, it slips out of your grasp, and you're watching in slow motion how the sparkling berverage ends up spilling all over the extremely expensive (or so you assume. Balenciaga maybe) suit pants Park Jimin decided to wear that night.
Everything is kind of blurry and you can't even hear anything. You can only watch as Park Jimin turns around, lips parted and eyebrows furrowed, until his eyes find you, the bane of his existance and immediately recognizing the culprit of his now drenched piece of clothing. And you can watch as, once again, his gaze turns almost black and narrow lightly as to reprimend you for what you've caused. But of course he doesn't say a word. He has nothing to say. He doesn't even look surprised. No. Because obviously, Park Jimin knew that if there was somebody in this room willing to ruin his night, it would be you, and only you.
"Shit!" you're the first one to break the strained silence, but that only makes Jimin flinch. "Shit, shit, shit. I'm so fucking dumb! J-Jimin, I'm so sorry, let me just go grab a paper tow-"
"Don't." his voice cuts through you. Literally cuts through you. Because it's not often that Park Jimin decides to aim his words at you, but everytime he does it holds the same frigid tone. Like knives trying to painfully stab your being. "Just, don't."
In reality, you don't know a lot of things and you don't know what causes what happens next. You don't know if it's the specific time of the year, you don't know if it's your internal stress, or if it's Park Jimin, his voice, or the fact that he will never like you. But it's instant. They way something compresses your chest, and suddenly your eyes are not glaced by the alcohol but by something wet that threatens to flow. You would never admit to anyone they're tears.
So, shutting your mouth and swallowing the uncomfortable feeling of anguish in your throat, leaving your flute forgotten on the table and grabbing the bottle instead. Without saying a word, your feet start moving up the stairs of the ridiculously enourmous house Taehyung owns towards the first free and empty balcony you can find. Free of people and free of Park Jimin.
Closing the large window behind you, you allow yourself to close your eyes and take a deep breath; the icy temperature outside immediately welcoming you. Although the hairs on your arm stand up and you know you're probably going to catch a cold (because the dress you've chosen for the dinner is not at all appropiate for such winter climate), at least the tension in your body seems to disappear while oxygen keeps that ugly feeling in your heart at bay from continuing to choke you.
With shaky hands, you take a big gulp straight from the champagne bottle. Fuck Park Jimin. No man will ever have the power to make you feel what you're feeling right now.  Fuck Park Jimin. And fuck his beautiful face and his ability to make you tremble and fear looking like an idiot. Fuck his fancy clothes and his perfect manicured hands and his marvelous but frigthening presence.
Knock knock.
The sound makes you jump back from the window, hand grasping your chest while you turn around, coming face to face with the man in question.  Your first instinct is to ignore him. But that thought is already out of the way when it's him the one who struggles with the window lock before opening and taking a step towards you. You step back as he steps in, raising your head up high and puffing your chest. Because your second instinct is to tell Park Jimin to go fuck himself.
"_____, I would like to-"
"You would like to what?" Jimin looks taken aback at your harshness. Alcohol has always been a weapon of mass destruction in your system, provoking words to flow too easily and without filter out of your mouth, more than they already do when you're sober. Especially when it's mixed with the frustration you've been harboring inside of you for two years. That's why when the words start to come out, they won't stop. "To make me feel like shit one more time? To look at me with that fucking conceited face trying to make me feel like you're better than me? Or would you like to ignore me once again as you always do everytime we're in the same fucking room to make sure I know you hate my mere existance, even if it's just the two of us right now?"
The steam leaving your lips due to the accelerated beat of your heart blurs his face for an instant while he looks at you dumbfounded. The silence and his expression makes you scoff, an acidic smile adorning your face while you take another sip of your drink because even with such a stupid face, he still looks delectable with his white shirt and ruined pants. You turn around, removing a tear that you hadn't even realized had fallen during your speech and that, frankly, you were hoping he hadn't either. You would blame it on the cold, anyway.
This time, a gust of wind running through you from head to toe, making you forget of Park Jimin's presence looming behind you, reminding you it's still December and the fabric of your dress is doing nothing to conceal you from the cold.
But before you can do anything about it and blame yourself for being dumb and not taking your coat with you before deciding to step into balcony, Park Jimin surprises you once again, this time by placing his navy blue blazer over the naked skin of your arms.
Your back straightens when you feel his warm breath caressing the back of your neck, at the same time that a voice you have never heard Park Jimin use with you echoes in your ears.
"I really don't hate you, _____. I..." Jimin wets his lips. His body trembles, but it's not due to lacking his own coat, while his brain hurriedly searches for words eloquent and adequate enough to explain voice his thoughts. "I like you very much, _____."
Scoffing again while you shake your head, you push down with all your inner strenght the incipent fluttering of butterflies in your stomach that Jimin has managed to cause in just a matter of seconds. It's probably the longest sentence you've heard from him in two years, and you don't exactly understand why your body is reacting the way it is. But you're also not willing to give Park Jimin the satisfaction of knowing that. He doesn't deserve it anyway. So with all the courage you can muster, you turn around with your hands clenching.
And even though being at such short distance from Jimin is a bit overwhelming and unexpected for you, the irritation still making your blood bubble is enough to not let a man as handsome as him derail you from your current circumstances.
"Well, fuck you Park Jimin. You certainly have a funny fucking way to sh-" his hands cradling your jaw that pull you closer to him and his lips that silent you roughly, but with surprising care. Only for a moment. A moment in which your body betrays you and make you melt into hir warmth. But his voice, low and sinfully husky, murmurs against your lips.
"God, that mouth of yours..." he goes back to attacking your own lips, this time more firm than before, snatching a sigh from you. The sound has his tongue asking for permission into your mouth, and with your body betraying you once again, you part your lips to allow him in. It's him who whimpers this time, while one of his hand moving until it reaches the bottle in your hand and letting it drop carelessly onto the floor, ignoring the sound of glass shattering and the future scolding you'll get from Taehyung. Instead, he sneaks that same hand on your waist, pulling your body flush against his, fingers digging onto your skin. "It's been driving me crazy for two years. Two years, _____."
He mumbles between kisses and swipes his tongue against yours, while he stars walking the both of you until your back meets the nearest concrete wall.
"Two years of having to hear the incessant filthy words that leave your mouth..." his own stop their movements and you catch yourself before begging him to reattaching his lips to yours, enjoying instead the path of wet kisses and bruises his lips traile from your chin to the pulse of your neck "...and trying my best to hide the painful boners I get whenever you're nearby."
With your eyes shut, your hands are back in motion, ignoring the voice in your head reminding you he's still an asshole and finding their way between Jimin's soft golden strands of hair. He hums in appreciation, sending goosebumps all over your body. "So, s-so why not do anything about it sooner?" you say, suddenly finding it difficult to breathe properly.
You feel Jimin's body tensing before you and he ceases the movement of his lips against your neck. Breaking away, your heart stops, afraid you might have ruined the moment. But Jimin's in search of your eyes, eyebrows very lighlty raised, the intensity of his gaze pinning you in place. You don't know for how long you stare at each other until Jimin comes out of the trance, eyes descending over your flushed cheeks, the very same color as your lips and the soft flesh of your neck until they reach your cleavage, the glimmering fabric encasing your breasts, taunting him the same way they had been doing all night long.
"You scare me so much..." and then, one of his hands repeats the same journey his eyes just did, until he touches your shoulder, right under his own blazer. "Everytime I look at you, all I can think of why the hell a girl as real as you like you would even glance my way." he slides the strap of your dress slowly tentatively, just enough for you to stop his advances if you chose so. You don't. "You're smart in ways I could never compare, so funny it makes me jealous, and so pretty it leaves me speechless. You're...You're everything I'm not."
His voice resonates in the atmosphere, and you would love to blame it on the cold again for how your body has reacted, but your body heat has increased so much since he started kissing you that it would be stupid not to admit that it's just the effect that Park Jimin has on you tonight. You're sure he would've had the same effect if it had happened before.
Your now uncovered breast doesn't even has to suffer the consequences of the icy wind, because one of Jimin's arms quickly comes around you to hold your body against his, lifting you ever so slighty until your erect nipple is at the same level as his mouth and his lips are enveloping it in their warmth. You gasp his name, and that encourages his teeth to tug softly before his tongue stars moving in circes.
"My God, you're so perfect." Your head spins while you hold onto his shoulders as tight as you can, the undeniable heat roaming all over your form, hips involuntarily rutting his incipent erection poking your abdomen. "Been thinking about this since that night we first met." Looking for relief, Jimin mirrors your movements without ceasing the administrations on your chest, as one of his hands lifts one of your thighs to wrap around his waist, closing the short gap remaining between the both of you.
"Ohmygod! F-fuck, Jimin," trying to form coherent phrases is almost impossible, not with Jimin finding a slow and tortuous rythm with his hips, his clothed cock rubbing against your core. Something shifts in the air, because Jimin stops abusing your nipple with a loud pop, and shuts you up by pressing his mouth onto yours in an urgent, dirty and desperate kiss. You could almost hear him swearing, while his hand keeps your jaw in place.
"S-stop talking like that, ______." his voice, inaudible, and his face now hiding in the crook of your neck, the thrusting of his hips speeding up, more and more frantic this time. The hand not holding your thigh against his hipbone reveals your other breast, hand covering it and giving it a light squeeze before tugging at your unattended nipple between his forefinger and his thumb while his tongue and teeth mark the skin on your neck.
"Hell, I've been dying to stuff your mouth with my cock to prevent you from such foul language," the soft whimpers leacving your mouth coax him into taking the hem of your dress and bunching the fabric until his fingers easily find the place in your body calling to him the most through the lace.  It's immediate, how his fingers dampen at the first touch, surprising the both of you, and how your body jolts and an embarrassing sob escapes your throat. "How-how are you this wet? Holy hell, I could just slide right in..."
And as he says that, one of his fingers pull aside the fabric of your underwear and glide into you, so easy. You insides burning while he fingers you, another finger being added with his thumb rubbing circles on your nub. And fuck, you're not sure if you're just too horny and Park Jimin is a magician with his hands, or maybe it's the way he keeps mouthing at your chest and whispering how soaked you are, but you don't think you've ever been so close to cumming in such a short period of time.
"W-whats stopping you?" you manage with a voice that doesn't even resembles yours, but before your hands can even make work of the zipper of his trousers, he pulls his finger out from your center, causing you to whine in protest.
Jimin licks his lips, eyebrows framing the dark expression that his eyes ooze. Although the desire in his eyes is more than evident, it is also evident the faint hesitation in them. Because Park Jimin doesn't do things this way. Park Jimin was raised in a world of correct manners and conservationism. A world that has taught him when and how to act. And as badly as he is dying to fuck you against the wall of Taehyung's ridiculously inmense house, he also wants to do the right thing.
"Let me take you on a date."
Tumblr media
Park Jimin has been spoiled his whole life. Being born in a well-off family has always provided him of everything he had ever wanted and more. From the innecessary number of toys Santa Claus left under his Christmas tree every year since he was a baby, to his fisrt extravagant sports car at the age of eighteen. Park Jimin has never been a greedy or needy man. How could he, when he's had everything he's ever wished in the palm of his hands. He has never missed anything in his entire life. Hasn't missed a roof over his head, warm food on his plate or brand new designers clothes each week.
It has taken him two years to control himself. He still remembers that night he first met you, just like he remembers every single time you both had coincided in the same place at the same time. He remembered your scent, had memorized your figure over your pieces of clothing and had tried as best as he could to keep a distance from you because he knew you would never give him the time of day. How could you? You probably despised everything he was because he was definitely nothing like you, and that thought intimidated the fuck out of him. He was a mess everytime you wear nearby. Never relied on his voice because he knew he would stutter if you ever spoke to him, could never trust his eyes because if he ever looked at you he was afraid he wouldn't be able to look away.
And everytime you spoke, shit, that voice of yours always cursing here and there left him wondering how would you sound in a different setting and if you would still be that badmouthed. More specifically, between his sheets. So he did everything he could to minimize your interactions as much as possible. He just never thought he would come across as such a jerk. It was never his intention to hurt you, and seeing you cry that night (although you denied you did, over and over again) seriously made him realize he wanted to make things right.
He was trying really, really hard to keep it in his pants, to be the same well composed and controled Park Jimin he had mastered himself to be.
But that damn dress.
After seeing that little black dress hugging your figure when you started taking off your coat at the restaurant, the brief flash of thigh tights that you accidentaly (or not so accidentally) had blessed him with by crossing a leg over the other, that exposed collarbone calling his name and those heeled sandals with straps wrapping around your ankles, reminding him of the snake tempting Eve, Park Jimin was sure he needed to dig into that apple more than anything he has ever needed before.
That's why he surprises you right after you both finish the second course meal by telling the waitress you won't be having desert, at which you look at him somewhat indignant. But the look he shoots you is enough to make you understand if somebody was going to have desert tonight, it would be him. In his Mercedes.
"I'm gonna-" you gasp, fingers tugging at the soft strands of his now ruined blond hair, his head between your thighs and your legs thrown over his shoulders. His hands have a grip of the meaty flesh of your ass, holding you firmly againt his mouth as it works wonders on your clit. You're sure it hasn't even been ten minutes since Jimin had opened your legs in the backseat of his car, not even bothering to take your underwear off, simply moving the fabric aside before diving in, and you already feel yourself on the edge of an orgasm.
"I know." voice vibrating right into your core, he slows down his administrations, tongue carefully and delicately lapping at your folds while he enjoys the feeling of your fingers loosening their grip and fondly brushing his hair back. You meet his eyes as he pushes a finger inside your core and your whole body twists in agony.
"N-no!"
Jimin stops immediately, lifting his head and focusing his concerned eyes on you. He's about to ask you if he's done anything wrong, but you're fast to roughly pull him up by his hair until his face is leveled with yours. You answer him by kissing him and he returns the kiss with the same eagerness, and now it's your hands that are looking for his cock, palming him through his pants.
"Your dick. Inside. Right Now." you punctuate each phrase with a kiss and he only stops kissing you to pout.
"But I wanted you to cum on my tongue." but still, he's putty in your hands when you undo the botton and the zipper. "Wouldn't you rather me fucking you in my bed, where we're more comfortable?" you notice the slight quivering of his voice when you slide his trousers and boxers down, just enough to pull him out.
"You can eat me and fuck me as many times as you want tonight, tomorrow and whenever you'd like, but right now..." none of you contain the moan in unision that leaves each of your mouths when just the head of his lenght comes in contact with your entrance. "I really can't wait anymore." brushing your lips over his, you lower your voice. "Wanna get on my hands and knees for you."
Park Jimin has tried to do things the right and appropiate way throughout all his life. He's been a professional from a very young age on how to be in charge of his emotions, his desires and his impulses. Always well mannered and well composed.
But it's in this moment that Jimin comes to the realization that the only thing that has ever made him lose his mind and self control, is you. Seeing you like this, ass up, grinding your drenched and still thong clad cunt all over his precum dripping lenght, he can't control the way his hand bunches the fabrick of that damn dress over your waist, then flies to your right cheek, a sharp sound of skin filling the air, tearing a gasp from your throat.
"God, I'm-I'm sorry. Couldn't help mys-"
"Do it again."
And he does, the palm of his hand now leaving a reddenning print on your flesh, making you jolt back involuntarily, aligning yourself to the head of his cock and like he had hoped, he slides right in. Not all the way, because Jimin is sure he would cream inside you too soon and he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he did. He wets his lips, clenching his jaw and dropping his palm one more time, hand more steady and purposeful.
"You like it rough?" voice hoarse and a hand beside your head holding himself, your back to his chest, twitching beneath him as he soothes the sting with his free one.
"I like you rough." turning your head slowly to peer at him from the corner of your eye, your hips moving on their own accord trying to take him deeper. Your head is suddenly pulled back harshly, Jimin's fingers tangling in your hair as his own hips close the remaining gap between your bodys in an abrupt thurst. You squeal, Jimin's cock finally filling you up to the hilt just like you wanted him to be, the pleasure making your arms wobble and finding it harder to mantain your balance.
Jimin's breath fawns over your ear, his tongue darting out to suck on your skin sending chills down your spine. "You're such a dream." he groans, torturously sliding out of your core that's gripping around his shaft for dear life. A whine of protest escapes your lips and he tightens the hold on your hair in response, diving right back in. You fall forward, your arms' strenght betraying you as his thrusts find a new rhythm. With your eyes closed shut, you try to muffle the sound of your voice with the back of your hand as Jimin's lips place soft kisses to your exposed shoulder.
"Don't be quiet." he stands straight, the pull on your hair arching your back in such a enticing way it was Jimin look away for a second, cock buried inside of you and his hips faltering. "Been dying to have you like this for so long."
Another clap of his hand against your right cheek, and a particular stroke of his dick that has you mewling as your climax approached again. "S-so good, Jimin. Oh my god."
"You're gonna cum for me?" his fingertips leave bruises on your skin and the windows of his Mercedes are foggy, just like your mind. You can't concentrate on anything that's not Jimin's cock sliding in and out and how much you wished this had happened way sooner. "Gonna cum for me like a good slut?"
Park Jimin always takes his time. Always does things nice and slow to assure the best outcome possible.
But he can't contain the acceleration of his hips against yours as your walls clench impossibly tight around his cock, your orgasm finally taking over . Can't contain himself from falling forward again, hand twisting your head in his direction and his mouth searching for yours in a fiery and messy kiss. And he most definitely can't barely contain himself from cumming when your you ask him to spit in your mouth.
"You're gonna kill me." he breathes, removing himself off you and quickly maneuvering you on your back, his dick finding its way back inside you. Picking up right where he left off, skin slapping against skin in an obscene melody, he collects a considerate amount of saliva in his mouth before dropping it into your welcoming tongue, watching you swallow with a smile he hopes he'll be the only one to see in the future.
And that's what has the last bit of his self restraint slipping from his fingers. He somehow manages to rip the top of your dress down, fabric tearing until your tits are free and his mouth is attacking your nipples, white strings of his release panting your walls, some of it them oozing out that he fucks back right into you.
It's between ragged breaths, kisses and tender carresses that Jimin promises you more dates in the future and new dresses that he can't promise not to savage apart again.

hi! could i request some dad!jim finding out you’re pregnant (but it’s very unplanned and you both are like very young adults who are definitely not ready for something like this) but he’s very excited nonetheless? thanks! <333
A/N: hello!! Thank u for requesting this 🥺💖 hope u like it!! I tried to make it pretty fluffy but ofc theres a little angst hehe. This is basically already a given but just in case - Jim is 18+ in this.
Warnings: angst revolving around being pregnant and just.. general mentions of everything that has to do w being pregnant LOL, bit of Jim being insecure for 2 like seconds, lots of fluff
As much as you would like to claim that it was a typical Friday night; to your absolute dismay you found it was proving to be quite the opposite. Instead of enjoying the night and going out with your boyfriend like you had previously planned to do - you were curled up on your bed.. in tears.
You told yourself earlier today that by now you would've pulled your shit together; atleast enough to go see Jim at the bowling alley like you had planned but.. of course, that didn't happen. Things never seemed to go according to plan as of lately.
You currently stayed buried under far too many blankets on your bed.. not bothering to watch TV or go on your phone (going on your phone would only force you to see all of the missed messages and calls you had gotten from Jim) so - you settled on listening to the stormy weather outside your window instead. Rain battering against your glass window helped distract you from your current unwanted, rational thoughts but.. it was soothing and distracting atleast. It helped you take your mind off of the problem you were currently dealing with.. which, had to do with your current state of being.
The past couple of days you had felt odd.. to say the least. At first you merely thought you were coming down with the flu; you had all of the symptoms. Like nausea, aches and pains.. but there was also some inconsistencies that started to make you question whether it was really the flu, because you didnt have a high temperature.. And thats when you conveniently missed your period.
You knew you didn't have the fucking flu.
A pregnancy test sat on your nightstand; the box it came in was discarded on the floor amongst other.. various trash. You had taken the test hours ago; and you were right about your suspicions of your illness not being the flu. The two pink lines on the pregnancy test confirmed your previous thoughts.. and that's what prompted your episode of you staying in your bed all day.
Your first instinct was to call Jim but.. you knew you couldn't do that. There was no fucking way you were ready to let him in on what was happening. You knew that you two were both completely unprepared to be parents; for multiple reasons. You were both extremely young, neither of you had super steady jobs and.. it just wasnt the right time. That's what you kept telling yourself anyway. The more you denied what was probably going to become your reality made you feel more in control and safe than how you currently felt.
However; you still were yearning to call Jim and to tell him to come over but you also didn't want to let him in on the fact that anything was wrong. He had more than enough on his plate as it was with his chaotic family (and even calling them chaotic was a nice way of putting it).. you knew that Jim didn't deserve to deal with how you were acting right now but; you were selfish. Even though you knew Jim would be better off not knowing, you still wanted nothing more than for him to hold you and tell you everything was going to be okay.. even if it was a lie.
Your train of thought was suddenly interrupted once you heard the front door of your house unlock and click open. You immediately jolted up in your bed and pushed your blankets off of you. Attempting to smooth out your clothes as fast as possible; immediately knowing that it had to be Jim Mason. After all, only one person had a key to your house besides you..
You heard his footsteps start to grow gradually louder as he approached your room.
"(Y/n)?" Jim's voice was loud and high pitched as he called out to you.
It startled you a bit to hear how concerned he sounded, but you quickly bounced out of bed and flew to the door - opening it quickly just to find Jim a foot away.
"Jim," you breathed out with relief.
You rushed over to him and greeted him with a harsh hug. Completely disregarding how startled he looked, and instead relishing in how truly happy you felt he was finally here.. but you knew that the complications of him being in your room with you now also meant he would know of your situation in no time at all. You knew there was absolutely no way you could hide it now.. fuck.
You felt one of his hands rub up and down your back - loosely following the curvature of your spine in a soothing way. You let yourself exhale a few shaky breaths; letting the anxiety leave you with every exhale as you tried to fully relax - knowing damn well that Jim was probably going to ask you for a explanation soon. You hesitated before breaking free from his arms to speak.
"How did you know to come?" You asked; your words spoken quietly and delicately.
You and Jim locked eyes as he stared at you - his blue eyes were swarmed with confusion. He looked at you as if he didn't know the answer to the question you had just asked; almost like you had spoken in a different language entirely.
"W-what do you mean? Of course I came.. we had a date tonight and I got worried when you no showed. Is everything okay?" he stumbled on his words; alluding to the fact that he felt uncertain in himself.
You felt your stomach drop as you heard his words. Oh fuck, your date. You and Jim's date was something you had totally forgotten about after seeing your test results.. you instantly felt horrible. The feelings of guilt, anxiety and fear that started to creep into your system was too overwhelming and too much to handle all at once. You took a few steps back from him; partially retreating back into your room.. hoping he wasnt here to solely yell at you or make you feel even guiltier than you already felt.
"Holy shit. I totally forgot, Jim. I'm so sorry," you admitted; your voice cracking.
You were aware of how your words sounded like a pathetic excuse but.. you were hoping that Jim knew you better than to think that lowly of you. You wanted to say more to help your case but you knew you couldn't.. how could you even explain this situation to him without fully explaining?
Jim slowly approached you, only just to brush past your shoulder and go into your room. He stood close to the center, turning around and seemingly examining the objects and state of your room whilst you continued to stay underneath the doorframe. Watching him in horror as every sense of yours heightened with fear of what he was really doing or thinking.. praying he wouldn't see the pregnancy test you left stupidly on your nightstand.
Your chest was aching now with the unbearable amount of anxiety your heart was infected with. Sweat was starting to grow on your skin; everything nearly moving in slow motion as you watched Jim move to look at your nightstand and then-
"Your room is a mess," he says with a chuckle.
He turns to make eye contact with you for a split second before going over to your bed. Pushing your blankets off to the side  before sitting on the edge, and patting a spot off to his left - urging you to join him.
A soft laugh finds it's way to your lips as you exhale with glee and relief.. but you still try your best to act casual and nonchalant for the time being. You walk over and sit next to him, a bit closer than you had originally intended too but Jim automatically wraps an arm around your shoulders. Coercing your body to melt right next into his.
"I miss our date, and act like the worst fucking girlfriend in the world and all you have to say is that my room is a mess?" you said with a laugh.
Jim is quiet at first, but the newfound silence isn't awkward. However, before you can avert your gaze somewhere else - he puts a finger under your chin so that you're forced to make eye contact with him.
"Dont ever say that about yourself when you know that's not true. I would never think something like that about you."
The pain that lived in your heart so vividly only moments before, struck once more. It was clear as day that he was hurt, but it wasnt by your actions. It was your words that did the damage instead.
"I'm sorry, I just.. I'm not feeling the most like myself right now," you tried your best to not clench your jaw as you spoke.
You figured that from this point forward you were going to have to chose your words very carefully.. but you also knew that Jim deserved the truth.
You started to get restless with anxiety, even with Jim's arm still around you (which had now dropped south to your waist). You gaze fell down to your hands.. the urge to just stand up and escape this inevitable conversation that you knew was going to happen was stronger than ever; but you knew that if you were going to be honest with Jim - you had to start now. It was now or never. Jim seemed to notice that you had more to say because he stayed silent, watching you as you sat with your mouth ajar - trying to find the right words.
"I'm not sorry for just missing the date earlier.. There's something else," you sorely admit.
You felt sick with anxiety as you felt Jim's arm pull away from you.
"Something else?" He spoke timidly.
He stood up; taking a few steps backwards away from you as his brows furrowed and his jaw clenched. You knew you would have to speak fast before anger completely took over him.
"Yes but.. it's not what you think," you stood up and walked over to him.
You took his hands into yours.. pretending to try to not notice how he slightly recoiled from your touch - his hands limp as you held them.
"I've been feeling really different lately.. I've been sick.. and i know it's not the flu or the cold, Jim."
As soon as your words left your mouth - it was almost as if Jim knew exactly what you meant. It was nearly impossible to try to not laugh at his reaction - seeing how his entire demeanor changed so fast. You felt his grip start to tighten on your hands. His blue eyes suddenly held so much emotion and pure joy in them.. His happiness was so infectious that you couldn't help but to smile too.
"Wait.. Your-"
"Yeah. I'm pregnant," you spoke with a giggle.
Jim fully smiled this time and let out a loud, full laugh.
"You're pregnant?? Why didn't you tell me?"
He let go of your hands and enveloped you into a tight hug. You wrapped your arms around him without any hesitation; so happy that he was taking this news greatly but.. you still couldn't help but to feel sort of unsettled  still about how unprepared you two truly were.
You broke away from the hug; and took a step back. Nervously holding your hands together as you spoke.
"I mean.. we're so young, Jim. I wasnt sure this was something you even wanted, or that you would be ready for."
"Is this something that you want? And I mean in regards to us. This is a big deal and this would mean that-" Jim's voice started to shake as he spoke.
You almost could feel his insecurity seeping through his words. You knew exactly what he was getting at - this meant that you two would essentially be settling down. Previously in your life; the idea of settling down so early fucking terrified you but.. with Jim, you would be willing to do anything. As long as he was by your side, you weren't scared and you knew you had no reason to be. Everything happened for a reason and after all.. maybe this was the perfect time for this to happen. You and Jim had been through so much thus far - you knew you both deserved to have some stability and to have something that was genuinely good for once. Although the exact details of how you would make it work were still murky; living out the rest of your life in domestic bliss really didn't seem like the worst option at the moment.. If anything, it was starting to look like the best.
You put one finger up to his lips to shush him - looking at his light blue eyes before muttering, "shut up and kiss me, Jim Mason. Of course I want you."
Your finger fell off from his lips; and your hands gently moved to his face. Before your lips had even met- you felt his hands at your back. Pulling you in closer.. closer.. and closer until the distance between you two had completely dissipated. Your lips moved together at first in a tortuously, agonizingly slow manner. It was soft and tender; yet needy. As much as you wanted things to escalate and pick up -  you thrived in the delicious slow burn that Jim was putting you through.
All fear and anxiety you had previously felt completely melted away and was replaced with utter euphoria. Every fiber of your being felt as if it was on fire; you felt like you were glowing. Your senses being completely occupied with Jim only made your feelings of contentment grow. The smell of Jim (a mixed combination of the ocean, bonfire and cigarette smoke), the taste of Jim (which tasted faintly of energy drinks along with a bit of saltiness that was reminiscent of the ocean) made you feel like you were in heaven.  The one and only coherent thought that ran through your mind was: Jim, Jim, Jim.
Your hands moved from his soft, burning cheeks to his hair, while you let your other hand drop down to his back near his shoulders. Your fingers ran through his hair; pulling a bit on a few random strands when you felt his teeth sink into your bottom lip gently.. You heard a groan expel from his throat in response to this; which only made you smile into the kiss - and then giggle which of course; unfortunately ended you and Jim's kissing escapade. You two didn't fully pull apart from eachother though. Jim took a step or two back but he chose to hold onto your hands.. refusing to let you completely escape his embrace.
"I would be lying if I were to say I wasnt nervous, you know," he said.
You hesitated for a second before swiftly leaning in and kissing the side of his mouth - choosing to stay a little closer in proximity this time when you parted. If it wasnt for him bringing it up - you would've completely forgot the conversation you two were having prior to the kiss. Your hand resided on the side of his face as you looked into his eyes.
"Its okay. I'm nervous too but.. were in this together. Me and you," you stated with a reassuring smile which Jim only mirrored.
"That's all I need," Jim replied softly.
You knew in that exact moment that you had absolutely no reason to dwell or worry about the future when you had someone like Jim to rely on. Even with the future being as uncertain as it currently was; having Jim's love was really all you needed.
Jim insisted to stay over for the night; even though you tried your best to assure him you'd be fine - he didn't believe you.. and your kind of glad he didn't. You quickly realized that trying to make solid plans for the future would be for another day; for when every time you tried to speak - Jim shut you up with a kiss but you weren't complaining.. how could you, when this is what you wanted so badly? The comfort of knowing you would have Jim forever by your side was enough to let you fully relax and melt into the moment with him.. and let the future become something that you could have dreams about later.

Chapter Sixteen - The Chosen One
There was a full moon, round and silver like an orb hanging in the velvet night sky, and it’s pretty heavenly light was poking through a crack in the linen curtains. It washed the room with gorgeous silver light. You smiled as you pulled the covers up to your neck and you traced a gentle finger down Sirius’ handsome face. The moon’s light casted shadows against his skin, beneath the silver light of the moon he looked even more beautiful than usual, you hadn’t thought that that was possible. He almost looked angelic.
You leaned forwards to press tiny little kisses against his closed eyes before you planted a lingering kiss on his rosebud lips. Sirius chuckled against your lips before he opened his eyes, grinning down at you. His grey eyes seemed to shine even in the dim light. You smiled and tangled your fingers through his thick hair, giggling as he let out a pleased hum as you tugged at the strands gently.
“What are you gazing at, angel?” he smiled, pressing his forehead against yours, his hand coming up to cup your cheeks.
You stroked your thumb against his stubbled cheek, “why, I’m gazing at you, of course, you’re beautiful. Why shouldn’t I stare?” you whispered, biting your lip as he scoffed and looked away from you.
“Y/N…” he trailed off and you captured his chin between your gentle fingers and turned his face so he was looking back at you. You saw the vulnerability shining in his eyes as he looked at you.
Sirius still thought that he didn’t deserve you; this beautiful, kind, smart and brave man thought that you were too good for him. It had seemed to be a running theme in your relationship but it had never bothered him like this before, or maybe he had just been better at hiding it. You were going to make it your life’s mission to change his mind-set.
“I don’t care how many times I have to tell you, I’ll tell you every hour if needs be, because you are Sirius, you’re so beautiful,” you pressed a kiss against his nose and Sirius stared back at you with nothing but love in his eyes, “I love you, Sirius.”
Sirius grinned as he cupped your neck and kissed you slowly and deeply, you wanted to deepen the kiss but your husband had already worn you out by his previous actions of the night, “I love you too, Y/N.”
There was comfortable silence as you leaned your head against Sirius’ chest, listening to the gentle thud of his heartbeat. You were very content, though things had been awful at court lately – with the future determined – you could always depend on Sirius to be there for you. And, you were always going to be there for him.
“What are you thinking about?” you smiled up at him, kissing his cheek.
Sirius rested his head on top of yours, huffing out a quiet laugh, causing your hair to ruffle slightly, “I’m trying not to think, my darling. I suppose that I’m worried about the prophecy.”
You had to admit that you were nervous too after hearing the bone chilling words a couple of months ago, words that determined your future, “I know that you’re worried about it, and I am too, but the only people who knew what that prophecy spoke of was in that room with us. I don’t believe for one second that any of our friends would us to Voldemort. He has no reason to come after us, or Harry,” you smiled up at him.
You had mentioned the man that you had seen outside the door, you were worried in case he had heard the prophecy. Thankfully no one else had seen him so it was extremely unlikely that he had heard the prophecy. Though, you had seen him in deep conversation with Peter a couple of weeks ago.
“Yeah, you’re right,” Sirius replied, bringing you out of your thoughts and you could hear the smile in his voice, “I think that I’ll just feel a little better when Harry arrives safely.”
You nodded; you could understand that, the prince would be arriving any day now, “I think we all will.”
All of a sudden, the door burst open which caused your heart to leap up into your mouth, Andromeda shot you and Sirius an apologetic look, “I’m sorry to disturb you two, Y/N the Queen is asking for you, she’s going into labour. Go to her, I’ll look after the children.”
You gasped, excitement filling your chest as you practically jumped out of bed and pulled on a robe to cover your sheer nightgown, you knew that you didn’t have time to dress. At lightning speed, you and Sirius ran down the hallways until you reached the Queen’s birthing chambers.
A midwife was outside of the door, looking at James apologetically, “I’m sorry, Your Majesty but I can’t let you in, it isn’t proper.”
Sighing, you ran up to James who stared at you with worried eyes, you smiled nervously at him, “I’ll keep them safe, Lily and Harry. I promise.”
James’ face crumpled at your words as his hazel eyes filled with tears, “I just wish that I could be at her side.”
Sirius bit his lip as he clapped James on the shoulder, offering him a weak smile, “I’ll keep you company, Y/N will be at her side,” Sirius smiled at you.
James nodded as he worriedly began pacing the endless hallways. You smiled nervously at Sirius as you slipped into the birthing room.
“Y/N!” Lily gasped in relief as you reached her side and she grabbed your hand, squeezing it tightly, “you’re here! I don’t think that I can do this, I’m scared,” she cried out, her face contorting in pain.
You bit your lip, you desperately wanted more children but the pain of giving birth wasn’t something that you missed, you still remembered the pain as though it was yesterday, “yes, you can! Your Majesty, I promise that the pain is only temporary; when Harry comes you’ll forget all about it. You’re going to be okay,” you forced out a smile as you pressed a cool cloth against her forehead that was already beginning to burn up.
It was a long and difficult birth, Lily had your hand in a vice grip as she cried out and you had tried to make her as comfortable as possible. You remembered how exhausting this experience was and Lily was doing well, far better than you had done. About halfway through the birth, Lily cried out for James and it broke your heart knowing that Lily was in such pain and there was nothing you could to ease it. You also remembered how awful it was to not have the man you loved by your side as you brought your children into the world.
Finally, Harry was brought into the world, tiny, pink and wailing, the midwife carefully wrapped the prince in a linen towel and passed him to Lily who reached out her arms to receive him, “let me see my son,” she said in an exhausted voice. Lily gasped as she gazed down at her baby boy in her arms with so much love that only a mother could fully understand.
“Look, Y/N,” she smiled up at you with tears sparkling in her emerald green eyes, “look how beautiful he is.”
You leaned over to look at Harry with a grin and an indescribable feeling bloomed in your chest. He was a beautiful baby with tufts of jet black hair, “he is beautiful, I will go and get James so he can see his son.”
Lily nodded, “send Sirius in as well, you two are our very best friends and Harry’s godparents, and you should both be here.”
You smiled at here as you stepped outside of the room and beckoned the two men into the room. James gasped and ran to Lily’s side, kissing her forehead as he stroked her sweat soaked hair from her forehead, “my love, you’ve never looked more radiant than you do right now. Are you alright?”
Lily nodded with a bright smile as she kissed her husband, “I’ve never been better, look at him, James.”
James gasped as he looked down at his beautiful son, “hello, Harry,” he grinned as he held Harry’s tiny hand, “I’m your Papa. I love you so much; your Mama and I love you so much.”
You smiled up at Sirius as he wrapped an arm around your waist as you both stood behind James so you could look at Harry. James glanced back to grin at the two of you, “and, these are your godparents, our very best friends. Y/N and Sirius, but you’ll probably know him as Padfoot at first,” James chuckled, fixing Sirius with a teasing grin that made Sirius roll his eyes.
“Padfoot?” you frowned, looking up at Sirius who momentarily closed his eyes.
“It’s a nickname from school,” Sirius sighed in embarrassment making you giggle.
“Oh, my Padfoot,” you teased, grinning up at him as you kissed his cheek.
“Thanks, James,” Sirius grumbled but he was smiling.
------------------------------------------
Sirius could have sworn that the temperature in The Throne Room had dropped a few degrees as he waited in nervous anticipation and he wrapped his arm around Y/N. Sirius was nervous, the Captain of the Guard had just discovered another Death Eater who was running rampant. They were related to Sirius; James had given him a heads up before she was marched through the court on the way to prison. James liked to make a spectacle to prove to the court that he was strong but in Sirius’ humble opinion it proved quite the opposite.
Sirius tensed and squeezed his eyes shut as he heard the manic laugher echo through the castle. He was immediately transported back in time to when his mother would mentally and physically torture him while his cruel cousin would look on and be delighted. Sirius thought he’d left those memories in the past but bile rose to his mouth as they came flooding back. He opened his eyes when he felt a gentle hand against his chest and Y/N smiled up at him warmly, he was so thankful for her, to have her by his side. She had saved him more than she could ever know.
Sirius shot her a weak smile back and he glanced up to where James was standing with an impassive expression on his face. He had his arm wrapped around Lily who was holding their two month old son close to her chest. Lily looked as scared as Sirius felt.
Moments later, the crazed cruel woman was marched through The Throne Room; Sirius noticed that his cousin had lost none of her beauty as she regarded Sirius and his wife with dark heavy lidded eyes. A smirk spread across Bellatrix’s face, “the family disappointment got himself a pretty little wife did he?” she cackled and sneered at Y/N who backed away.
Sirius glared at her, trying to look braver than he felt as he shielded Y/N with his body, though Bellatrix couldn’t reach Y/N in her chains.
“You keep unfortunate company now, dear sister,” Bellatrix hissed at Andromeda who refused to look at her. Out of the corner of his eye, Sirius saw Y/N look at Andromeda with a shocked look before she wrapped an arm around her shoulders to comfort her.
“It’ll be okay,” Y/N whispered.
“Ha!” Bellatrix cackled, high pitched and cruel, it made the hairs on the back of Sirius’ neck stand up as he tried to ground himself, “I doubt that,” Bellatrix smirked at Y/N before looking up at the King and Queen with distaste. As soon as she spotted baby Harry in Lily’s arms, a savage look of hate transformed her face and she wasn’t so beautiful anymore.
“How dare you peasants stand there?!” she all but screamed, “how dare you stand where the proud Riddles once stood? The Dark Lord will come for all of you,” she addressed the court now, “The Dark Lord is great and powerful and you will all be his servants,” the way she talked about Voldemort was alarming. There was admiration in her voice and she spoke of him like she was merely talking about a lover. Sirius wouldn’t put it past Bellatrix for her to be in love with Voldemort.
James stared back at her as rage and hate filled his face but he carried on staring, almost as though he was in a trance. Lily had turned around so she couldn’t see Bellatrix, and Bellatrix could no longer see little Harry.
“He’ll kill you all! He’ll be the King; he’ll rule this miserable country, and eventually the whole world! Mark my words!” she screamed madly as she pointed at James.
That had seemed to break James out of his trance, “take her away! Take her away now!”
Bellatrix screamed as the guards dragged her out and the scream echoed it was a truly awful sound.
“Are you okay, Sirius?” Y/N asked him as she cupped his cheek, gazing up at him lovingly, her eyes searching his face.
Sirius still felt sick but he was okay, “I should be asking you that,” he huffed out a laugh before he looked up at James. James was almost looking at him for guidance but Sirius shook his head, he truly believed that his best friend had gone too far this time.
“Come on,” Sirius mustered a brave smile and looked at Y/N and Andromeda, “let’s go for a walk out on the grounds and forget about this ordeal,” he took both of their hands and he led them outside, fresh air would do them good, even if it was a bracing day.
The silence was deafening and Sirius looked at Andromeda who had silent tears streaming down her face. Bellatrix had always been an awful person, at least to Sirius, but she was still Andromeda’s sister and there must have been a time when they loved each other. Sirius opened his mouth to offer her words of comfort but the words wouldn’t come. He had no comfort to offer her; there was nothing he could think of to say to her, nothing to make her feel better.
Y/N let out a breath of air as she watched the beautiful swans glide gracefully on the lake and she held her stomach, looking up at Sirius worriedly, “I don’t want to have any more children for a while.”
Sirius raised an eyebrow, thoroughly surprised as he looked at his beautiful wife, his mouth dropping open slightly; she had been trying to sell him the idea of having another child for months now, “what? What do you mean? I thought you wanted more children,” he pulled her close and he could feel her warmth radiating against him.
“I do,” she gazed up at him and offered him a sad smile as tears welled up in her eyes, Sirius hated seeing her so upset when there was nothing that he could do, “God, I want more children more than anything but I don’t want to bring innocent children into a world where there is so much evil.”
Sirius sighed and he thought of his two children who were currently having a play date with Mary and Remus’ child. It would be unfair to bring a child into such a dark world, “we’ll defeat him, Y/N. I promise he will do us no harm. James is rallying men to fight Voldemort, we’ll get him.”
Y/N smiled up at him as she kissed him softly and leaned her head against his chest as the three of them watched the swans glide on the surface of the lake. Things were going to be okay; Sirius would bet his life on it. He would defeat the evil in this world, he would make his wife feel safe again, if it was the last thing he ever did.

Tumblr media
You’ve had a problem with Yoon Jeonghan since your first day on the job.
It starts normal - your first client, your first target, fresh out of training. Your mentor gives you tips and tricks and you purposefully take an easier job, one where your client has a majority of the information you need to know. Their competitor - your target - is at a high-end hotel and will be there all night… all you have to do is find out which room.
And, well, kill them, but after the years you’ve spent training and working, you’re pretty confident.
So after some tracking you finally find out the room number your target’s staying at and gather your things - weapons, restraints, anything you could possibly need (and things you’ll eventually know to leave out) to get the job done. You plan it out as well as you can, you want no messes or trails, and when you finally get to the hotel room, ready to make a move…
Your target’s already dead. Sprawled across the floor, puddle of blood under them, gone. You drop your duffel bag in shock, barely take note of the open window, and instead focus on a little note propped up on the table by the body that has your name on it. The police are on their way, it reads when you turn it over. Don’t be here when they are.
It’s signed with multiple x’s and a name you learn to hate.
And since that job - years ago, when you were still a rookie - you and Jeonghan have always ended up on opposite sides. Sometimes you think that if fate had given the two of you a chance to work together on a job you wouldn’t hate him half as much, if at all. It’s a dangerous job, and hard - you take what you’re given, what you’re offered. Even if you were commissioned to work with Jeonghan of all people… you think maybe you wouldn’t be so offended by the simple thought of him.
That thought always leads you to think about why you hate him - you’ve met other hitmen, worked with them. Minghao was the most pleasant experience (as pleasant as it can be, killing others) and you still meet with him from time to time, get a drink or a bite to eat. And even Soonyoung, who you’ve simply talked to a few times, isn’t someone you’re at all close to hating, even when he’s a little too energetic.
You sigh, leaning back away from the telescope on your rifle. Your neck is starting to hurt from the position you’ve kept for what feels like hours, and you roll your head around in circles in hopes to ease the ache - quickly, though, you’re still waiting for your target to leave a building across the street from the empty parking garage you’ve stationed yourself at. When you look through the scope again you see the doors haven’t opened and let yourself drift in thought again: you’ve got along well with almost every other hitman you’ve come in contact with, so why -
“I was wondering where you were hiding out.”
Speak of the devil, you think dully, feeling the added ache of aggravation crawl up your spine. You don’t even spare a glance in his direction, instead trying to stop yourself from making Jeonghan your own personal target, client be damned.
“Yeah? Why is that?” you ask him, voice laced with a level of resentment even you’re not prepared for.
“Oh, to see my favorite person, of course!” Jeonghan replies, and it’s then you decide to turn and look at him. The moonlight from the other openings in the walls only illuminates the bottom half of his face, leaving his smug smirk in perfect view. He’s leaning against a pillar like he owns it. You’re extremely tempted to punch him.
“I’m trying to do my job, Jeonghan,” you settle on instead. God knows your client offered a charitable reward for your services, and you need the money. You can’t afford to risk this.
You hear the grin in his voice when he speaks. “Me too, honey.”
And you should have known, whenever he shows up he always brings some sort of fucking trouble, and you barely think when you’re standing up from your rifle and turning to fully look at him. “Who hired you?” You demand, because of course he has to do this, of course -
“You know we can’t disclose that sort of information,” Jeonghan says, voice teasing in nature but you know he’s serious. You don’t care. You stomp up to him, reach for his collar to pull him to you, chest-to-chest.
“Who the hell hired you?”
Your question doesn’t even receive an answer the second time, instead you’re only faced with a look that’s all too arrogant. You can’t help but roll your eyes, push him off of you with force until he stumbles back a few steps.
“Tell me who hired you,” you say lowly, looking him in the eye. “I’m tired of dancing around you all the time, playing these stupid games -”
“Really?” Jeonghan asks, sounding genuinely surprised. He takes a step closer to you and in a fit of pride, you stay where you are, leaving both of you dressed in low moonlight. His eyes are full of mirth, playful knowledge. “Because the last time we met, you seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.”
Memories of his skin flash in your mind like quick pictures, and you glare as hard as you possibly can at him. Your resolve has been crumbling since the first time you looked at him tonight and both of you know it and you hate it. “Leave me alone.”
“Are you sure you want that?” Jeonghan asks. You don’t answer him. You - you have a job to do, a target who is going to be walking out of the building across the street at any moment, if they haven’t already and you’ve been too preoccupied. Your client didn’t give you any date to have it done by, but this is by far the easiest time to get it done, everything lines up perfectly.
Jeonghan raises an eyebrow at you, steps another few inches forward until the tips of his shoes touch yours. His pointer finger comes under your chin and pushes it up, gentle but in control, so your eye line meets his perfectly.
“What do you want?”
Something in you breaks (like it always does) and you throw all caution to the wind as you simultaneously push Jeonghan back against the pillar and pull him closer to you to mash your lips to him. It’s an angry kiss, seething and rough, sweetly bruising. Your hands are in his hair - longer than last time, your brain tells you without permission - and his are everywhere, all over you, any place he can reach without breaking away from you. You don’t know how long you spend letting his lips trace the shape of your own until he murmurs something along the lines of “I have a hotel room” and you’re grabbing your things in a rush and leaving with him.
It always crosses your mind at one point, when it happens, how stupid this whole thing is. The two of you doing this together, knowing you always crash and burn. It never stops you from going through with it, though. You figure if he’s taking you down, he might as well drag you all the way to hell.
You get to his hotel room (high-end, you note, which makes everything worse because you know he doesn’t even need this job anymore - not if he’s spending his reward money on things like this) and the heat kicks up again, leaves you stripping clothes and kissing skin. You think you mumble an “I hate you” against his lips at one point - for good measure - and he only grins, grins, kisses you harder to shut you up. It works.
When you finally feel each other, pressed into sheets and skin, listening to the way Jeonghan gasps again and again, you can’t help but think. You know everything you do is killing me.
The morning comes quick, makes you feel the bruises of Jeonghan’s hands more than the night before. You stretch and sigh and try to prepare yourself for an empty bed (it always is) but when you try to turn you realize an arm is still stretched across your stomach, heavy with the weight of sleep. Oh, you think first, and then, I need to leave right now.
So, slowly, you push Jeonghan’s arm off of you and then rush quietly to get dressed and gather your things. You’re sat on the edge of the bed, in the middle of tying your shoes, when he wakes up.
“Leaving already?” He asks, teasing as always. You don’t look at him.
“You’re usually the one gone by this point anyways.”
Your words contain no bite - surprisingly - only a simple observation. For some reason you think it’s worse that there’s no contempt in your tone, that you’d rather keep that up then go through… whatever this is. Neither of you speak.
When you stand up from the bed you’re forced to look at him, and there’s something in his eyes. Yearning, maybe. Longing. Your heart throbs and you pretend you don’t see it, pretend you can’t label the feeling.
You get to the door but stop, then give yourself a moment to take a breath of air in as you look back at Jeonghan. “I’m never letting this go,” you tell him, voice stern. You don’t know what you’re referencing - this grudge? Him?
Jeonghan only grins at you, knowing, and you leave the room before you can no longer stop yourself from grinning back.

Only You: Dean x Reader (Requested)
Tumblr media
Requested by: @littlemissmoxley: I was hoping for a Dean x Reader please? I’m fairly new to the fandom so I’ve only seen 3 seasons so far lol. I was hoping for a story where the reader feels like she is constantly compared to Cassie in Dean’s eyes even though she is a hunter too and she confides in Sam but Dean overhears the conversation and tries to convince the reader that he appreciates her for who she is and is sorry if he made her feel differently
A/N: Welcome to the family! We hope you enjoy your stay! I like comparing this fandom to the song Hotel California because like they say “you can check out any time you like but you can never leave!” lol don’t worry, that’s meant as a joke. It’s a very fun and very loving family so I hope you enjoy it!
Had to jump all the way back in season 1 for this and Dean gave me MAJOR feels throughout but totally worth it!
Also I don’t think this is my best work but I did my best
Warnings: Angst, swearing, angry!Dean (that’s a sexy warning) fluff, slight mention of sex but very light
Word Count: 2,752

You had been living and working with the Winchester Brothers for the past year after they called on you for a little help with a case. You knew their Dad sort of well at one point in time after he saved you from a rather sticky situation with a vengeful spirit. At the time, you were working late and had gotten off of work when the attack happened but it ended up working out where John came to your rescue and made sure you were okay until he moved on to his next case. However, before he left you, he called his sons and had them come and stay with you longer because you were injured. John Winchester was not a man who would stay behind for an extended period of time to help some civilian but what he failed to learn but Sam and Dean stuck around to learn, was you weren’t a civilian; you were a hunter too. When they got to your apartment that night, you threw them for a loop.
“So what did our Dad say attacked you?” Sam, the youngest brother you found out, asked you.
“He said some kind of mental subject high on meth or something? Some total bullshit if you ask me. I know I was attacked by a vengeful spirit,” you say nonchalantly.
Both brothers just gave you a bizarre look, like they were freaking out over how you knew what was going on. No one needed to lie to you because you were aware of what was happening and that was unusual to the brothers.
“Wait, our  Dad told us you were a civilian?” The eldest brother, Dean, asked.
“Yes that’s what he told you but see boys, your Dad didn’t stick around me long enough to know the truth; I’m a hunter too. I guess it was pure luck your Dad was close by when I was attacked because I knew I was getting myself into some shady shit when I had to dig out some corpse to stop a track of killings in Tucson but I wasn’t expecting more than one spirit to be involved here,” you explain, smirking as the tension was drawn away from the brothers.
A big part of every hunter's existence was to keep the job a secret from civilians; no one usually believes you anyways. So always having to come with an excuse for what happened when civilians almost died is exhausting. Lucky for the Winchesters, they didn’t have to worry about lying with you. After staying with you for a few days to make sure nothing was still trying to come after you, it was Dean who decided to have you live with them. He insisted on it due to how severe your injuries were but it didn’t bother you; you liked his company. Not that he really took care of you, he was just concerned. It was Sam who really took the time to care for you and that was how you and he had gotten so close. In fact, you confided in Sam about everything that was going on in your life so when you started doubting your relationship a year later, you went to him.
“Hey Sam, I need your advice on something,” you asked, going to see him in the War Room. He was currently sitting at the Map table behind his laptop, looking intently at the screen in front of him.
“Hey (y/n) sure, what’s going on?” He asked, eyes leaving the screen and landing on you.
“Well it’s about my relationship,” you say and Sam grows more concerned.
“Dean’s not hurting you, is he?” He asks, jumping to one of the most extreme scenarios. You had started going out with Dean a few months after you
“No, no, of course not. He’s been nothing but a gentleman but something seems a bit off.”
You and Dean started dating a little while after you agreed to go with them on their hunts. It was actually really great and you liked him a lot, but lately, you began to question everything about your relationship.
“Off? Like how?” Sam asks, motioning for you to sit down across from him.
“Well, he uh, did something odd,” you say, a bit hesitant on sharing what happened.
“What did he do?” Sam pressed you.
“Well, uh, we were making out the other day and he said another girl's name,” you say, cheeks turning bright red but you knew you could trust Sam. He’s not the kind of guy to make fun of you or tease you that often; he was sweeter than that. Unlike his brother of course, who thrives off teasing you.
“Who’s name did he say?” Sam questioned.
“Cassie? I-I don’t know who she is or where that came from but it was weird. And when I confronted him about it, he blew me off and wouldn’t say anything about it. Not to mention, he won’t even come near me,” You explain everything that happened.
“Oh….shit,” Sam said, knowing exactly what was going on.
“Sam? Who-who’s Cassie?” You ask.
“Cassie was Dean’s, first love. He was crazy about her and we ran into her again about a year ago. She called him because her Dad was killed by some racist truck that was driven by another vengeful spirit,” Sam explained his brother’s odd behavior.
“Oh, well that explains a lot. He-he probably has been comparing me to her this whole time! And I think I’m failing,” you say, an expression of realization on your face.
“No (Y/N) that’s not…” Sam tried to call after you but you left the room and went out to the motel lobby.
“How can I help you?” The young girl behind the front desk asked you.
“Yes, I need to get a room. I’m not sure for how long yet but I can pay for one and I need one as far away from room 113 as possible,” You say, sliding the fake credit card over to the lady.
She quickly took down all your information and put it all through her computer, verifying you wanted a room farther away from Sam and Dean’s room, before she finalized a few things, sliding your card back to you and a room key, bidding you a ‘pleasant stay.’ You walked back to get your belongings from your shared room with the boys and before walking in the door, you scoped the surrounding area to ensure you wouldn’t run into either brother and when you were sure the coast was clear, you frantically start packing your bag, making sure to get in and get out as fast as possible. Zipping the bag, you scribble down a note to Dean, and set it on the table by the front door, and head out. Making your way to the opposite side of the property, you find your room, unlock it and let yourself into your new home for as long as you and the boys would be in town investigating.
Dean’s POV
“Hey (Y/N/N), Sam, where are you guys?” I called out for the others living in the room with me to see if someone could help me with these groceries and take out what I bought.
“Hey Dean, let me grab some of that for you,” Sam says, grabbing some of the bags out of my hands and placing them on one of the counters.
“Where’s (y/n)? She said she was getting hungry earlier and I got her favorite food,” I say, excited to surprise my girl.
“Um, she’s not here,” Sam says, a hint of hesitation in his voice.
“Well, where is she?” I ask.
“She left,” Sam kept his response short.
“Sam, I need a much better explanation than just that.”
“There’s a note for you on the table by the door,” he says, unloading the bags of groceries.
I walk back to the door and there is, in fact, a note with my name on the top.
Dean,
I think it’s best if we part ways for a while since...well you know what happened; the incident. I talked to Sam about it and he told me who she was. I get it, Cassie was your first love and after just seeing her recently and hooking up with her again, I’d probably say her name too.
I’m not mad, in fact, I understand. I just think it’s best we aren’t in a romantic relationship since you’re not over her. Makes me wonder if you’ve been comparing me to her this entire time and I believe I fell short. I did a search on her and she is stunning in every way and I simply am not.
I’ll stay to help you and Sam with the remainder of this case but afterward, I’ll head back home. I know this may seem surprising to you but ultimately, it'll be ideal for all involved.
-(Y/N)
“Son of a bitch!” I said, crumpling up the note and throwing it at the floor.
“What’s wrong, what did the note say?” Sam asked.
“She left me, Sam. We were making out the other day and I said Cassie instead of (y/n) and now she thinks I’m still hooked up on her and that I’ve been comparing her to Cassie this entire time!” I yell, throw punching the wall.
“Well, she couldn’t have gone too far, she hates being by herself,” he says, trying to add some comfort to the situation.
“I can’t believe she thinks I still give two shits about Cassie! I haven’t even thought about her in the last year except for that one time,” I say, feeling shitty about this whole thing. I should’ve been more careful and paid better attention to (y/n). She probably thinks I don’t even care about her at all since we’ve been so busy lately with this case.
“I gotta find her Sammy,” I say, feeling helpless about everything but I at least needed to get started finding her and explaining to her where I’m coming from.
“Let’s go up to the front desk and see if she left anywhere,”  Sam suggests,  making me remember why I’m lucky to have him. I wouldn’t have thought of that on my own.
We head up to the desk and are met with a girl who looks like she’s just fallen in love. Guessing she finds us attractive by the way her eyes travel up and down both of us.
“How can I help you, boys?” She asks, smirking at Sam.
“We’re looking for a girl, about yay high, (y/e/c), (y/h/c) she goes by the name (y/n/n)? Have you seen her anywhere?”
“Oh, she checked into another room,” the girl says and I sigh in relief; she’s still here.
“Great, what room is she in?” I ask.
“I can’t tell you that, Sir,” she says to me, rolling her eyes and popping a bubble with her gum.
“I’m Agent Ackles, this is my partner Agent Padalecki, (y/n/n) is our partner and we need to know her whereabouts as soon as possible. We believe she might be in danger,” I say, flashing my FBI badge, Sam following my lead, and the girl quickly jumps to the computer and pulls up your information.
“She checked into room 2 earlier this afternoon,” the girl says.
“Where is room 2?” Sam asks, knowing all the rooms we’ve seen have been in the hundreds.
“On the opposite side of the property; those are the single-digit rooms.”
“Thank you,” I say, folding the badge and putting it away.
“Do you want me to go with you?” Sam asks.
“Nah, I got this. I’m hoping to work this out with her and if we do well,” I say and smirk, Sam immediately knowing what I was implying.
“Right, well thanks for that. I’m going to head back to the room then and you just call if something doesn’t go as planned,” he says and heads back to our room.
I follow the directions the receptionist girl gave me and after a surprisingly long walk, I find room 2. That girl wasn’t kidding; it really was on the opposite side of the property. I go over to the door and raise my fist to knock, pausing just a moment to gather my thoughts before finally making contact with the door.
“Just a minute!” She calls from the other side of the door and then she goes quiet for a while. “What do you want, Dean?”
“Look (y/n) I got your note, can we talk about this please?” I say, almost pleading for her to open up.
“I don’t have anything more to say to you,” she says.
“But I have plenty! Come one (y/n/n) please, let me explain.” She opens the door and looks pissed off.
“And why would I do that?”
“Because you love me,” I test, knowing we haven’t said that to each other yet.
“And how do you know that?” I can tell she was affected by the comment but she kept fighting me.
“Because I know you and if you didn’t care anymore, you would’ve left.”
“Fine,” she says and steps aside, allowing me into the room.
“Look, (y/n) I’m sorry okay? I don’t know what happened that day. Maybe I was thinking about her subconsciously but I promise you, I am crazy about you and only you.”
“But you told her about our work; she obviously means a lot to you,”
“Meant a lot to me, yes, but YOU are the one who means more to me than, I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but more than Baby.”
Her head snapped over to look at me, she wasn’t expecting that one and neither was I.
“I mean more to you than your prized Baby?” She asks, cocking an eyebrow to see if there were any signs of deceit but I was sincere.
“Yes, sweetheart. You are my girl and I’m crazy about you. You’re the first person I want to see when I wake up in the morning and the last one I want to see before I fall asleep at night. I want to be there when you’re not feeling well so I can cuddle you and tickle you until you feel better again. I want to cook you meals and I want to be able to binge-watch Scooby-Doo with you. I want to play with your hair and see you fall asleep with your head in my lap because you’re so incredibly beautiful and I cannot believe you are mine. I am so sorry you thought you weren’t good enough for me or that I’ve been comparing you to Cassie this whole time because I haven’t been. I’ve been pinching myself every single day I see you and get to kiss you because I’m still thinking I’m going to wake up from a dream and it’ll all be gone. I hope that isn’t true and that this is all real. After all, I can’t imagine my life without you in it because I love you. That’s right, I love you (y/n) and I don’t care who knows it! I am so in love with you that I was going to go insane if I hadn’t told you,” I fully express all my feelings, in a non-Dean way.
She keeps quiet and just when I think the worst happens, she makes her way over to me and grabs my head, bringing my lips to hers in a kiss. Instinctively, I grab her hips, holding her tight, and push her against the nearest wall. She’s completely trapped as my lips make the kiss more passionate by traveling down to her neck and over the tops of her breasts that were kind of spilling over by her pajama tank top. Just before anything gets too heated, I pull away to make sure we were on the same page, that she was okay with whatever plans I had conjured in my head and when she didn’t seem to hesitate and she lifted her shirt over her head and threw it on the floor beside her, I knew she was all in. I’ll admit, I forgot what I was doing for a minute as I pictured her lying under me as I do some rather fun things to her, but she snaps me out of it and I go out to put a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, slamming it and locking it behind me. Yep, she was my girl again.

faceless, nameless - the prologue
Tumblr media
gif credit - @kylos
pairing - kylo ren x reader
warnings - canon-typical star wars violence, depictions of death/violence, fighting (verbal + physical), loosely implied physical intimacy (really up for interpretation here), angst, tension, implied mild love triangle, kylo ren betrays you
summary - For four years, Kylo Ren considered you to be many things: his right hand, his confidant, an irreplaceable strategist, a friend and most importantly his equal. It all ended when he left you with a blaster shot to the stomach on a near deserted planet. On the brink of death, a rather dashing Resistance Pilot stumbled upon you, saving your life.
Donning a mask to hide your identity, you’ve grown to become the most fearsome Resistance fighter they have; bewildering the First Order as to how you always seem to ruin their plans and avoid capture. Kylo Ren is a different man from when he left you two years ago, so how will he react when he accidentally finds you alive and well in Poe’s memories?

-----
the prologue - the sun
On Starkiller Base, there were plenty of rumors as to why Kylo Ren kept you around. Some said it was because of your extensive training in hundreds of different languages, both spoken and signed. Others were sure it was due to your diplomatic upbringing that came with countless connections and near endless wealth. Or, maybe it was due to your more than adequate ability in battle that served him the most. Even some people thought you were a kept woman, who only existed as a way for Kylo Ren to blow off steam behind closed doors. Your favorite rumor was that you were actually a high-ranking Resistance spy who was tasked with infiltrating the First Order at the highest level and that Kylo Ren had become weak because of you. Had it not made you laugh so much the first time you heard it, Kylo would’ve crushed the windpipe of the lowly officer who created the elaborate lie.
Of course, there were some truths in all the rumors, but none of them exciting. You were in fact trained in hundreds of languages and that training was a product of your diplomatic upbringing. You were exceptionally trained in various forms of combat, but that was something that came after you met Kylo; he had always been afraid of you not being able to properly defend yourself. You were most certainly not a kept woman, not that you and Kylo weren’t intimate, but certainly not in the type of dynamic people thought. You absolutely were not a Resistance spy, but even though neither of you said it aloud, Kylo Ren was definitely weak for you.
How it actually happened is quite boring. The two of you met when Kylo had just turned 24, still more Ben Solo than Kylo Ren. You were recently 23 at the time, head of a diplomatic welcoming committee that met with Kylo as part of his first official diplomatic endeavor as ‘Kylo Ren’ the soon to be Commander of the entire First Order. He quickly became enamored with you and the way you commanded a team full of older men who clearly didn’t approve of your position- whether it was due to your age or gender he didn’t know- but still treated you with respect; in short, you radiated a confidence and power he desired. For you, it was quite the opposite, Kylo Ren still wasn’t sure of himself and at times still acted like the awkward lanky Jedi boy who had never spoken to a girl outside of school purposes. He was a fresh and welcomed change from all the annoyingly rich and cocky men you met with on a daily basis.
Him and his team stayed on your home planet for nearly three months. Countless delegates from various planets flocked there for balls, meetings, conferences, and more. Your connections ran deep and you directly aided in the First Order’s successes during those three months. For the first few weeks, you and Kylo skirted around the obvious pull between the two of you. He wasn’t exactly sure how to ‘woo’ a girl, nor was he even sure if he was allowed to. His lack of action caused you to regularly doubt if he also felt the spark, or if it was completely one sided on your end. Weeks of longing gazes and accidental brushes of fingertips finally came to an end when the two of you were sitting on your private balcony, overlooking the well kept grounds, discussing the conference that had just ended. It was a roaring success for your planet as well as the First Order, both of you securing mining resources at an exceptional locked rate for a minimum of fifty basic years. You made the first move, he was irresistible under the moonlight, closing the space between you on your bench and pressing your lips directly on his. In his hesitation you thought you had completely misread the past month, but it was only a moment later that his hands found purchase in your hair, pulling you closer. The two of you were nearly inseparable for the rest of his trip.
It was difficult, when he finally had to return to his new master and some massive ship that would be lightyears away from you. Unspoken promises were made the night before he left, declarations of love and devotion made behind closed doors. He was still far from truly becoming Kylo Ren, had copious amounts of training to finish before he would see himself be fitting for someone like you. If he was nothing else, Kylo was desperate for loyalty and when you watched his ship leave you had no doubts he would come back.
And he did, nearly an entire standard year later. You almost didn’t recognize him when he stepped off his personal ship. All broad shoulders and shrouded in layers of black, with that intimidating mask covering his face. He was proving to be quite the warrior, the tales of him and the Knights he commanded reaching the farest edges of the galaxy. When the welcoming festivities had ended and he removed his mask in the privacy of your room, you found a mature face that had lost the softness you once knew. It was no matter to you, flinging yourself into his arms and vowing to never let go.
This time, when he left, you went with him of course. Kylo had been shocked when Snoke approved it, but Snoke, ever the manipulator, knew the growing attachment between the two of you would inevitably prove to be valuable in controlling Kylo Ren.
Moving into a giant spaceship wasn’t easy for you. The dark, cold and everlasting expanse of space was a sharp contrast to your warm ocean planet. You missed the sun on your face and your people, but when you vowed to never let him go, you meant it. As time went on, you grew accustomed to the ship and then eventually Starkiller- which was an entirely different battle, that piece of ice had you complaining for months-, and soon enough you couldn’t imagine a life not in space.
Most of your days were monotonous, not that you minded. From the first day you stepped foot onto base, Kylo began training you himself. He never wanted you to feel as hopeless and afraid as he did when he woke up to his uncle ready to kill him in his sleep. So he trained you, and he trained you hard. You could wield a lightsaber well enough, as he argued that should anything ever happen to him- a thought you hated entertaining-, his saber would be the best weapon you had available. You were smaller than him, so close combat was a challenge but you learned to use your size and agility as an advantage. What you specialized in, was the staff. It allowed you to give a larger opponent at a safe range until it was possible to take them down. Kylo had a special one created just for you, with double edged electrical ends that you could easily turn on or off. It was rare that he actually let you on a battlefield with him, but when he did you were unstoppable. Not that you minded, you quite enjoyed working behind the scenes, forming battle plans and leading diplomatic endeavors for the First Order.
Other than Snoke, no one out ranked you, not even Ren; a fact he had been extremely particular about after a visiting diplomat made the excuse of outright ignoring and belittling your presence in a meeting. You were equals in everything, even going as far as taking on the ‘Ren’ moniker.
Among First Order subordinates, you were fairly well liked, and not just because it was unspoken that anyone who thought badly of you would probably die at Ren’s hand. The people actually liked you. Ren was cold, you were warm. When he was sharp, you were soft. It worked well, his ability to command troops and fuel the fires of war was complimented perfectly by your ability to talk nearly anyone to your side.
You never wavered in your support for him, ever loyal by his side no matter what he did or who he killed or how many villages he burned to the ground. You stood next to him, never behind, when new planets presented themselves as potential allies. You watched from above when he burned villages, that dared aid the Resistance, to the ground. You cleaned and healed every single wound he received from Snoke’s brutal training. You held him together when the pull to the light made him feel weak and undeserving.
Anyone could see that you were the sun that Kylo Ren revolved around.
So, when he came back to Starkiller on that fateful day, covered in blood- your blood-, announcing that you were dead- and he was the one who killed you-, and that your name was never to be uttered on his base or by any First Order subordinate ever again, no one knew what to do.

wish you liked girls (kiara carrera)
Summary: You’ve been best friends with kiara for years, but lately you’ve noticed some changes in the way you feel towards her. When you hear the song she wrote about you, all is revealed.
WC: 4.5k
WARNINGS: homophobic, use of the f slur, cursing, nothing else really, just lots of angst and a lil fluff.
*this is based off of the song ‘wish you liked girls’ by Abbey Glover. I changed the lyrics around a little to fit the story better, but all credits to her nonetheless!!
A/N: happy new years my loves! this one shot is kind of my new years gift to all of you. I haven't been very active in the past few days, so I’m sorry about that. i tried to upload this on christmas, but tumblr was rude and didn’t let me, so here we are instead! wishing you all the greatest 2021, and I hope you all enjoy!
LET’S DO IT!!
~~~~~
You didn’t know exactly how you felt towards Kiara in the beginning. You feelings for her were indecipherable; more than friends… but also just friends?
The past few months had been a wild ride for you. Constantly, you were questioning your sexuality, and frankly everything you’d ever known.
It got harder as the days went on, and with every beautiful girl that showed up in your Instagram feed or your tiktok for you page.
And then, of course, there was Kiara.
Perfect, beautiful, unattainable Kiara.
She was your best friend, and you usually viewed your hangouts as a super comforting and safe space. Now, however, your hangouts were simply a cause for more stress.
Kiara was so… wonderful. After knowing her for many years, you could confidently say that the girl had no flaws.
Kie’s perfection made everything so much harder for you. Your feelings toward your friend were incredibly confusing.
Did you want to be her, or be with her?
The biggest issue was not your feelings for Kiara, but rather a completely separate problem.
Your boyfriend.
You were nearing a year with Hunter, the boy you found yourself lucky to call your own.
Hunter was an amazing guy, and everything a teenage girl could ask for in a boyfriend. He was considerate and sweet, and always knew the right thing to say to you. He never pressured you into intimacy, knowing that you weren’t comfortable or ready just yet.
You loved Hunter, you knew you did.
Yet, you found yourself feeling that same way towards Kiara.
This was the main issue causing the battle in your head. Was your love for Kiara just platonic? Or maybe you loved Hunter as a friend, Kiara was the one you wanted to be with?
None of those options felt right, but the last possible option made you feel confused and slightly guilty….
What if you wanted to be with them both?
All these thoughts rushed through your head as you brushed makeup on your face, preparing for a night with the girl who frequented your thoughts daily.
There was an open mic night at you and Kiara’s favorite indie cafe. Kie, who was unknowingly an amazing singer and songwriter, had played some music for you a while back, leading to a process of you encouraging her to grow as an artist.
For months, Kiara had been running song ideas by you. You could recall countless nights during which you and Kiara would sit on her bed, working together to finish up a song she’d been writing.
Kiara credits all her music to you completely, but you knew she was just being modest. The girl was undeniably talented.
That’s why, when you saw that Retro was having an open mic night, you’d insisted that your best friend go play one of her songs.
You had sat on her bed that night, the flyer you’d collected from the cafe sitting between the two of you.
You grabbed the notebook containing all of the lyrics you’d written together, and pored over the most recent piece.
The song was your best one yet. She’d been inspired by yet another fight between JJ and Rafe.
“What if I write something about the pogues and the kooks being so divided?” She’d suggested that same night. You could tell, judging by the look in her eyes, that a train of ideas was chugging in circles throughout her mind. “The whole thing is so ugly and gross… I just want to turn into something beautiful, you know?”
Without a second thought, you’d picked up a pencil and the song book you’d grown to be familiar with, and the two of you got down to work.
Two sleepless nights and countless cups of coffee later, the two of you had completed the piece. It was undoubtedly the best song you’d ever written. It captured the unnecessary feeling of hatred coming from the opposite groups of the island perfectly, adding a touch of soul. The moral of the song was simple: can we just get along?
Kiara had strung the words together beautifully, adding a gorgeous melody and some strums on her guitar. Once the two of you heard the lyrics had worked so hard on turned to music, you knew that there was something special about this piece.
That’s why you insisted so strongly that Kiara sing it at the open mic night.
“I don’t know, Y/N…” Kiara had twiddled her fingers, biting her lip in apprehension. “What if people hate my music? Or what if I fuck it up so bad I become a massive laughingstock. I don’t think I could handle it.”
You smiled, grabbing her hands to still them. “It’s a good thing you won’t have to worry about that, then, because you’re not gonna fuck it up.”
“You don’t know that for sure.” Kiara protested, breaking the gaze you’d been holding as you spoke.
“I do!” You grabbed Kiara’s chin, moving her face towards you so that her eyes met yours again. “You are fucking amazing, Kiara Carrera. Do not doubt yourself. You are so talented, Kie, I don’t think you even realize how incredible you are. I am going to that cafe tomorrow and signing you up for the open mic night whether you like or not.”
This was a threat, but not an honest one. You would never sign her up knowing she was uncomfortable. So, when you let go of your light grip on her chin, you listened intently for a murmur of approval.
After a moment, it finally came.
“Okay, I’ll do it.”
“Yes!” You exclaimed in celebration, throwing your arms around your friend. “I’m so excited, you’re gonna be amazing!
Now, a few days later, you’re sitting at your vanity, preparing for the night you’d be waiting for. Kie was extremely nervous, so you’d taken her out shopping earlier that day to calm her down. She’d bought a new outfit for the open mic night, which looked amazing on her. She promised you that she’d come pick you up so you could go to the performance together, and you’d happily agreed.
You didn’t expect to be at your house an hour early, though.
You weren’t even halfway through your makeup when you heard a knock at your door.
You’d rushed down the stairs, praying you’d get to the door first.
Your parents never liked Kie. They knew she liked girls and guys, and called her a “Hippie whore.”
Your homophobic parents: Yet another reason you couldn’t come to terms with the way you felt towards your best friend.
The odds seemed to be in your favor today, as you reached the door before your parents and swung it open to reveal a highly nervous Kiara.
“Hey!” You smiled. “What are you doing here so early?”
Kiara bit her lip in embarrassment and looked down to her feet.
“I-I got nervous and I got ready way too early. I know I’m not supposed to be here for another 45 minutes, but I’m too freaked out to be alone. Is it okay if I hang out with you while you finish getting ready?” She questions softly, almost embarrassed.
You smile, finding her nerves exceptionally adorable.
“Yes, of course you can. Come in, come in.”
You grab her arm, closing the door behind her and pulling her quickly up the stairs. The last thing you wanted was for Kiara to have to interact with your parents.
Once in your room, you close the door and head back to your vanity, Kiara flopping down on your bed.
As you sat down and continued applying your makeup, you spoke to your friend.
“So, how nervous and excited are you for tonight?”
Kiara smiled lightly, and bit her lip once again. “Very for both.” She confesses with a small chuckle.
“I know you can’t tell someone not to be nervous but I can tell you that you shouldn’t be. You’re incredible, Kie. I can’t wait for everyone to see how talented my best friend is.
You focus hard on your eyeliner, leaning in to your mirror to make sure you get a clean wing.
Once you're done on both sides, you lean back and admire your work. Perfecting your winged liner was something you’d been working on for a while, and it seems that your practice has helped. The wings are sharp and pretty much even. If you don’t look too closely, the wings are seemingly symmetrical. This is good enough for you, you decide, capping the liquid liner and setting it back in your makeup drawer.
Finally done with your makeup, you begin cleaning off your desk. You put your products back in your drawer, and the brushes in the holder you have for them on the corner of your desk.
Standing up, you look at Kie with a smile. “Now help me pick out an outfit so that I look hot supporting you from the audience.”
45 minutes later, the two of you are finally ready to leave. Kie is nervous as ever, but you offer comforting words to try and help calm her down as much as possible. You grab your favorite bag and throw the essentials in it. Your phone, a portable charger (just in case), and a few extra hair ties. Once you were done, you turned to Kie, who was playing with her fingers anxiously. “You ready?” You asked, encouragement laced in your voice. Kiara, still very obviously apprehensive, could do nothing but nod. Taking your bag in one hand and Kiara’s hand in the other, you head out of your room and towards the front door.
The two of you made your way down the stairs, moving quickly to leave so that you didn’t have to interact with either of your awful parents. When you got to the bottom, you rushed for the door, fumbling with the door handle. The house you lived in was old, and all of the metal pieces (such as the door knob) were rusted and hard to use. You did your best trying to twist it open, saying a silent prayer that one of your parents didn’t round the corner and see Kiara with you. She was nervous enough as it is; she didn’t need your parents making her night even worse.
Unfortunately for the both of you, your prayers were seemingly denied as your mother walked into the foyer, arms crossed over her chest.
You had hardly even noticed her presence until she said your name, anger apparent in her voice.
“Y/N. How many times do I have to tell you who you can and cannot bring into our home?”
You grimaced at the sound of her voice, turning slowly, knowing you’ll be met with inescapable doom. In the process of turning, you saw the look on Kie’s face. She looked anxious and heartbroken, not to mention severely guilty. After seeing your best friend’s expression, you knew you weren’t cowering down to your mother.
Your original plan had been to apologize profusely and beg her to let you go with Kie, possibly even lying about where you were headed.
But you knew you had nothing to apologize for, and neither did Kie.
“I don’t see why it matters, Mom.”
Surprise flashed over your mother’s face, shocked by your confidence. Standing up for yourself wasn’t your usual reaction to her scoldings, and she wasn’t prepared for the reply she was given.
“It matters because it’s my house, and because I’m your mother. I told you I did not want people like her over at this house. Now send the girl on her way and come sit down with me. I think we need to talk.”
You had to admit, you were nervous to make your next move. You knew what you were going to do, and it would result in getting your ass shredded when you come back home. But you didn’t care; you had to be there for Kie.
“I can’t right now. Me and Kiara have a place to be, so…” You turned and messed with the doorknob some more, finally getting it to work correctly. “I’ll talk to you when I get home tonight. It shouldn’t be terribly late. But, I might stay over at Kie’s, so, you think you could wait until tomorrow?”
Anger washed quickly over your mother’s face. She uncrossed her arms so that she could clench her fists at her sides, moving towards you menacingly. “Absolutely not, Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N. You will be staying here, and you will not be staying at her house. I won’t allow it.”
You smirked, a sudden confidence washing over you. “Well, that doesn’t sound very fun. Good thing I didn’t ask for your permission, huh?”
Kie looked shocked by your attitude, and your mother was getting angrier by the second.
“I’m going to need you to fix your attitude, young lady, or there will be severe consequences.”
“I don’t care. I don’t, and I’m not sorry about it. Kie is my best friend, whether you like it or not, and I’m spending the night with her.”
Your mother’s face was almost completely red. “Kie is a fag-”
“No. Don’t you dare finish that sentence. I will not allow you to talk to her that way. Why are you the way that you are?”
“Why are you hanging out with gay people? Do you like girls or something?”
“Why does it matter?” You’re fuming at this point. If she wasn’t your mother, you would’ve hit her by now.
“It matters because homosexuals are abominations. The Lord says so. I thought I’d taught you this by now, but clearly I didn’t press the word of God into you hard enough when you were younger.”
“No, Mom. Terrible people like you are an abomination. We’re leaving.”
And with that, you were gone, wrenching the door open and ushering Kie out of it, ignoring your mother’s shouts as you closed it behind you.
You rushed to Kie’s car, hopping in it as she pulled out of your driveway and sped through your neighborhood.
The two of you were completely silent for a moment. Both of you could barely process what had just happened. The more you thought about the situation, the more it upset you. Who was your mother to decide who you could and couldn’t hang out with? Especially when her reasons for you not hanging out with Kie were so disgusting.
What would your mother say if she knew the thoughts you’d been having?
After a little while, Kiara broke the silence. “Why is your mom like that?” Her voice cracked slightly as she spoke, and you could tell by the tone of her voice that she was fighting tears.
You sighed. Hearing Kiara so upset, especially on a day that was supposed to be fun, broke you. “I wish I knew, Kie. I’m so sorry.”
“I can’t believe she accused you of liking girls just because you hang out with me. She’s so disrespectful for no reason.”
You shook your head. “You say it like it’s a terrible thing she ‘accused’ me of. It’s not a bad thing. She just made it bad because she’s a bitch.”
Kiara nodded, turning her head to gaze out the window. A momentary silence fell over the two of you, but you couldn’t help but feel like something wasn’t right. You glanced over at Kie, whose brows were furrowed. She bit her lip in thought.
Is there something she wanted to say?
“Kie? Are you alright?”
The brunette didn’t say anything. You knew something was up, so you pressed further.
“What’s on your mind, love?”
Kiara shot out her reply quickly, like it was taking all of her courage to say it.
“You didn’t deny it.”
“Deny what?”
“Liking girls.”
You paused briefly, letting the girls words sink in for a second.
“No, I didn’t.”
Kiara turned to you, a million emotions in her dark eyes. They all flashed as you made eye contact, making each feeling hard to identify. “Do you?”
“Like girls?” Your breathing was halted. Was Kiara… feeling the same way towards you as you had been for her?
“I-I don’t know.”
Kie turned towards you. When you looked at her, you could see the tears in her eyes.
You could identify a strong sense of hope in her dark eyes.
“You don’t know?”
Suddenly, you remembered.
Hunter.
Your amazing boyfriend that you loved so much.
“It doesn’t really matter though, I guess. Since I’m with Hunter.”
The words had left your mouth before you could stop them.
Kie took a deep breath, and looked away.
“Right. Hunter.”
A few minutes later, you’d arrived at the cafe. No more words had been spoken, and tension in the car was thick.
Once the car was parked, you finally spoke.
“Are you ready to go?”
Kie nodded. “Yeah, I think so.”
The two of you climbed out of the car, Kiara going into the back to grab her guitar. Once everything was locked up, the two of you headed inside in silence.
The crowd was bustling with life in the small cafe. On one side, people with songbooks and sheet music sat with their instruments, and on the other side, people sat sipping on cups on coffee.
When you noticed the separation, Kie headed over to the performers side. You gave a light ‘good luck,’ to which Kiara didn’t reply, and then the two of you went separate ways.
Kiara took a seat in the performer section, looking nervously at the people around her. She tried her best to push away the feelings from the conversation in the car earlier, but it was very difficult. For a moment there, she had allowed herself to believe that the feelings she had for you were reciprocated. That look in your eye when you looked at her… something about it made her think you felt the same as she did. Unfortunately, she was wrong.
You just had to bring your Hunter.
Kiara hated Hunter, though she’d never let you know that. She had no real reason to hate him, but she did. She hated him so much, it was almost painful to see his face.
She hated him because he had what Kie wanted more than anything else in the world.
You.
Kie watched you as you moved around on the other side of the cafe. You were standing at the counter, talking to the barista. Though Kie couldn’t hear you over the bustle of the place, she knew exactly what you were saying.
You were ordering your usual: a large vanilla sweet cream cold brew with caramel drizzle. You order has been the same for what feels like forever. You had tried other things, but you always stuck to your favorite.
“I’ve never liked anything as much as this.” You’d said a few weeks earlier, when Kie had teased you for never changing your order.
Kie longed to be over there with you, teasing you about your order. Just talking to you lit up her life. You were everything to her, and she wasn’t even afraid to admit it.
You got your coffee, thanking the barista and dropping some change in the tip jar.
Kie watched as you scanned the room, searching for an empty seat. As you looked around, your eyes met Kiara’s, and you held her gaze for a moment. Though you didn’t know why she was being so cold towards you earlier, you couldn’t help but offer a small smile of encouragement.
To your great relief, she smiled back.
Once you knew she was alright, you broke her gaze and continued searching for a seat. You wanted to sit near the front, so that you could lock eyes with Kie when she was on stage as a form of moral support, but all of the front seats were taken.
Slightly disappointed, you had to take a seat in the back, near the exit.
When Kie saw that smile you gave her, she knew something had to be done. Even when the two of you weren’t really on the best terms, you continued to support her.
She loved you so fucking much.
Right then and there, Kiara made a decision, one she hoped she wouldn’t come to regret in the future.
An hour had gone by, and many performers had made their way on and off the stage in the small cafe. You counted down the performers until your best friend went on the stage, nervously playing with the straw on your cup. Even though you weren’t the one going up on the stage, you still felt terrified.
When the performer before your friend was reading off the last lines of his slam poem, your heart began to race.
The guy walked off, and you watched your friend stand up.
“Next up, we have Kiara Carrera, performing an original song called ‘differences aside.’ Let’s give her a very warm welcome!”
You could barely hear the announcer calling Kie’s name over the sound of your heart pounding.
Up on the stage, Kiara’s heart was pounding just as loud.
See, when Kie showed up at your house earlier in the day, she had completely intended to sing the song the two of you had written together. ‘Differences Aside’ was a beautiful song, and one she was very proud of. However, after the events that had went down on the way to the cafe, her mind had changed.
She was writing a song she had written by herself.
A song she wrote about you.
“Hey, everyone, I’m Kiara. I know I said that I was gonna be singing a song called ‘Differences Aside,’ but there’s been a slight change of plans. I’m going to be singing a different original instead. I hope you all enjoy it.”
When she had finished talking, she made direct eye contact with you. You were shocked by her words, and a little bit upset. Was she really so frustrated with you, or hurt by your previous conversation, that she refused to sing the song you wrote together?
It was heartbreaking, and you moved lower in your seat as she began strumming her guitar, fighting the tears forming in your eyes.
“I grew pretty attached to you,
Like a dog on a lead
Thought you were everything I could’ve dreamed of,
And all I could ever need.
But you like him, him, him
But you like him, him, him
And you don’t like me.”
Kiara’s voice rang out as she began singing. She sounded beautiful, and the song was very pretty.
You would’ve loved it, but you were slightly confused.
With every word she sang, she was looking directly into your eyes.
“Always thought you looked at me differently
Than any other you'd see
Thought you were aching to see me
At any, any possibility
But you like boys, boys, boys
But you like boys, boys, boys
And you don't like me.”
Your eyes widened at the last lyrics.
Was this song about you?
“I could be a bitch and tell you a million reasons why
Being with me would be much better than with any other guy
I could tell you I'll treat you right
And never wrong
Tell you in my arms is where you belong
“But I know that you can't change someone
So I'll just leave you alone, although
I wish you liked girls, girls, girls
Wish you liked girls, girls, girls
Girls like me.”
With Kie looking in your eyes as she sang, the lyrics hit you hard.
She did have feelings for you.
Tears began to sting your eyes, and you were overcome with emotion. You dropped Kie’s eyes, grabbing your things and standing up. Unable to stay any longer, you ran out the door, crying as you did.
Inside, up on the stage, Kiara’s heart dropped as she watched you leave. She had no choice but continue to sing.
“I wish you would’ve been more clear
When I was hanging out with you
That women isn't really something
That you've ever been into
'Cause you like boys, boys, boys
'Cause you like boys, boys, boys
And you don't like me.”
Tears began to fall as she sang, blurring her eyes. She just kept strumming, putting everything she had into the last verse and chorus of the song.
“And I know you don't swing that way
But that won't take my feelings away
Oh I wish you liked girls
I wish you liked girls
Like me”
It became harder to sing as sobs caught in her throat, but she pushed through. She was going to make it through this performance. She had to.
“I could be a bitch and tell you a million reasons why
Being with me would be much better than with any other guy
I could tell you I'll treat you right
And never wrong
Tell you in my arms is where you belong
But I know that you can't change someone
So I'll just leave you alone, although
I wish you liked girls, girls, girls
Wish you liked girls, girls, girls
Girls like me”
When the last chord rang out at the end of the song, the crowd erupted in applause and murmurs. Kie choked out a quiet ‘thank you’ in the microphone before running off the stage and outside to you.
She was so so scared that she’d ruined everything.
When she got out there, you on the phone, sniffling as you spoke.
“See you soon. Okay, bye.”
You turned around, and your cheeks immediately went pink when you saw her.
“Hi.” You said softly, not knowing what else to do.
“Who was that on the phone?”
“Hunter.”
Kie’s heart dropped when she heard the name. She recalled your words from when she’d first walked out. ‘See you soon.’ Her heart dropped further.
“Is he coming to pick you up?”
You shook your head, causing a small bit of relief to flood through kiara. “What were you talking to him about?”
You paused for a moment, dropping the eye contact the two of you were making.
“I broke up with him.”
Your friend let out a light gasp, hope entering her mind once again. “Oh.”
You just nodded, looking anywhere but at Kiara.
“May I ask why?”
Your response was simple.
You ran up to her and kissed her.
Finally.
Kiara was taken aback, but kissed back eagerly, so happy this was finally happening.
And when she was kissing you, everything was good.
Maybe changing the song was a good idea after all.
