if you want a taste of that classic goodness try Mario Kart Wii the community has fan run servers and the game has a vibrant modding community 17 years later there is new fan content coming out all the time and the game has a high skill ceiling but is still super fun for casuals, also there is no in-game chat of any kind because Mario Kart Wii was one of the first Console games to support Online Multiplayer that wasnt shit

Check out Fatal Fury for free tomorrow!

In about twenty hours, a free demo will be released for a fighting game called Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. It is an open beta test, which means you will be able to play online with your friends from the 20th to the 24th of February.

The demo has eight characters to choose from out of an eventual 22 in the full game. You can watch the trailers here, alongside some general game trailers. This test is expected to have a lot more newcomers than veterans, so you will not feel out of your depth even if you are new to this kind of game.

I'm really excited for this game, and I hope you give it a try!

Fatal Fury is returning after more than two decades, and it looks amazing. The visuals are top notch, the music is great, and the gameplay is a straight upgrade from the last game with new mechanics adding on to old ones.

Personally, I care about the story too, but the meat of the experience will be in pitched battles between players. The bevy of defensive mechanics in this game will make every interaction count.

The protagonist is Rock Howard, son of deceased series villain Geese Howard, and adopted son of former protagonist Terry Bogard. He uses both of their moves to fight.

This is Mai Shiranui. You might know her from several places.

Kain R. Heinlein is the maternal uncle of Rock Howard. He was the main villain in the previous entry, but is seemingly an ally now.

The game will release with seventeen characters, and five more will be added in the span of a year for no extra charge.

I've lamented this time and again but as someone who uses PS Multiplayer but hardly ever downloads the free monthly games (let alone plays them) I REALLY WISH there was a cheaper version of PS Plus.

Not only has it gotten pretty damn expensive over the last years (50,00€ -> 72,00 €/yr), but you can't buy it via Gift Card anymore (the closest is 75€ but it's not available everywhere).

Every year, when my subscription is about to run out, I question myself why the heck I'm paying such an insane amount just so I can have a fun online gaming evening with my friends whenever we want (something that's still free on PC and used to be free on old consoles).

Not to mention that the PSN had a lot of issues in the past months.
