I wish my younger self had talked more.

When I was 10/11 years old, I got obsessed with Ross Lynch. I watched him religiously on the Disney Channel when he was at his peak, and he took up about 99% of my waking thoughts. My mum thought I had a crush on him. I did too, because I didn’t know how else to describe what I was feeling.

But I’d pretend to be him, all the time. Everything I said, did, the games I played, I’d put myself into his shoes instead. It wasn’t me saying or doing these things. It never was. The version of Ross Lynch in my head (aged down so he matched up with me) was the person who controlled my body and my actions.

I was just playing, I told myself. I was just a girl pretending to be a boy. It never crossed my mind that the two could possibly overlap. It never crossed my mind that other kids didn’t play pretend this intensely.

But I never told my mum. She didn’t know that when I played with my toys, it was always as “Ross.” She didn’t know that when I made myself a snack, or messed about in a neighbour’s pool, or rode my bike, or climbed the rocks on the beach, it wasn’t me doing any of those things. It was the “Ross” in my head, living my life for me. The happiest I’d ever been because I truly loved this game. This secret game that I never spoke about out loud to anyone.

I feel like if I had told her that, maybe things would be different now. Maybe she wouldn’t think that my transness was a recent phenomenon, therefore giving her an excuse to accuse me of just going through a phase. Perhaps if my 11 year old self had explained what I was actually doing, she would realise that this “phase” had been going on far longer than she thought. Perhaps she would realise that it wasn’t the internet “convincing” me that being trans was a trend, because this predated it.

At 11 years old, I had been out of school for a year, and social media didn’t even cross my existence. I had no one I needed to fit in with.

My 11 year old self was the most me I have ever been. And I spent most of that year pretending I was someone else. Funny, when you think about it.

Perhaps she would have listened to her 11 year old kid chattering aimlessly about how fun it was to be “Ross” and tell them that other kids didn’t think like this, so I wouldn’t have had to wait another five years to realise that something wasn’t quite right.

But maybe I’m just giving her too much credit. She always did say I got too obsessed with things. Too obsessed with the live action Tom from Tree Fu Tom when I was eight. Too obsessed with the live action Peter Pan when I was nine. Too obsessed with Ross Lynch when I was 11. Neither of us ever put two and two together, and I’m sad about the boyhood I could have had if I had just spoken my thoughts out loud for once.

Unfortunately, no one ever wanted to hear me, so I never saw the point.

XZ’s GQ February issue candies 🍬

now that we all had the time to appreciate the lovely photos and videos from that cover & collab — which is honestly a whole meal on it’s own, now is the time for some sweets. 🫶🏼 nothing too extravagant, a few similarities and clues we have connected only. i think the best candy still is the fact that it’s now confirmed that zz & wyb both have a good relationship with gq. even rocco going as far as choosing xz to start having simultaneous cover releases with other countries. sit tight and wait for all the toxic narratives to be proven wrong. don’t sweat it. the road ahead is long. let’s enjoy life and support the boys! 🫶🏼

One thing i noticed, and was actually surprised about was WYB posting an ad for Super X as early as 8:00 AM. Tho he may post at 8:05, which is rare, he usually does ad posts at 10:00. The 8:05 is mostly done by the brands. We have talked about them trying their best not have work overlap, this is a minor one, but as soon as GQ posted at 9:30 i feel like i know what’s happening. Then it didn’t stop till 12:00 nn. It doesn’t help cause i’m clowning that the short film feature for this cover was assigned Chapter 8. WYB posted at 8, the full short film is 8. What a nice coincidence!

Knowing WYB is not a stranger to doing short films with GQ and their love for movies! It wouldn’t really surprise me now if GG does a full feature about LOCH with them. These two really chose the same publication to do exclusive for their projects 😌😌

overall, there is really not that much we can clown about when it comes to photos alone. tho what gg is wearing has an interesting story as shared by @rainbowsky here. some may say it’s the stylist and magazine’s choice but we still love seeing the association. In addition, the clothes were inspired by Nicole Kidman’s clothes in a Chanel perfume ad. i love the unconventional wedding dress choice here, it fits them! <3

moving on to the biggest way we can cpn tho is the interview & cover story.

i especially liked the questions, it wasn’t cutesy. it asked what needed to be asked.

here are some of the similarities i found with them and their outlook in life and career. 🤍

First of all, being professional is an unavoidable topic. You can have a non-major background, but you must have excellent professional skills. This is what I want to do, this is who I am. I feel that I am not enough, and i’m too far behind.

I think (improving acting skills) is a cumulative process. You can’t make a big step forward with just one movie. This is difficult for me to happen. So you have to keep filming, but you have to keep filming good films and don't consume yourself.

It’s the intent to be a better actor and the self awareness of not having that “background” people expect them to have. However, they can compensate by being professional. by being the hardest working person in the room. Sometimes I feel like it’s okay for them to praise themselves and not always be this critical, but i guess that’s what make them the best too cause they have high standards for themselves.

At present, I want to be an actor who makes the audience like you. Maybe everyone is not your fan, or even not particularly interested in you, but you know that he has a drama, Do you want to watch it? His dramas are all good. I want to do this. This is my current goal. Is it possible to become the actor I like? This is a rule.

THIS. This!!!!!! I feel like they both have this outlook. They don’t need every single person to be their “fan” but the goal is to become known and liked by the general public. That people are familiar with them as good actors with excellent works. It’s why there is absolutely no need to beat yourself up on who is the better fan. It doesn’t keep the boys up at night. Lol.

There are many. For example, Zhou Xun has always been my favorite actor.

I used to take the subway every day. for me there’s nothing I can't do. What do you think I can do? Say hello and leave. It’s just that I don’t want to cause confusion and trouble for everyone or cause a bad reaction.

The two of them have the same intention of not wanting to cause trouble to the people. That means making sure their fans do not cause unnecessary public issues like gathering in certain places.

Everyone has their own boundaries, and some people have no sense of propriety. I stay away from such people, but when the boundaries are broken again and again and the bottom line is touched, I will get very angry.

Chongqing pepper is here! lol. I see them being very patient and understanding cause they know what people expect of celebrities. But they won’t also take things lying down. They will fight if need be.

In principle, I am a very rigid person. If I insist on something and I think it is right, it will be difficult to be convinced. For example, if I want to be an actor, I don’t want to do anything other than being an actor.

I just want to do it well, just try my best right now. Maybe the result is not good, but what should I do? This is all I can do.

Now let’s look at the cover story. First, i wanna point out the comment of the interviewer about ZZ: “Before meeting, I thought Xiao Zhan would be very cautious about interviews. To my surprise, Xiao Zhan had a rare sense of relaxation, answered all questions, and even had some humor.”

Which is actually a common misconception about XZ or — you know what? he was kind cautious before but as time goes by, he became more relaxed and candid with his answers. It’s still insightful, but not as practiced. In the Q&A, he mentioned that there are things that cannot be said. Setting boundaries like that. Similarly, WYB is the same. We’ve heard stuff saying that he is in a more relaxed state now. I love that for them!

I still sneak out to ride a bicycle, take a walk, and do a CityWalk. Only once, just now in after walking in the alley for 5 minutes, I was recognized. I also sneaked into the cinema to watch a movie. No one will care about you, really. after leaving the Internet, many things will be solved easily. Sometimes the world is right in front of us.

This goes out to everyone that says how can they go out? How are the CPNs of them spending time together be true? Well this is the answer. Sneaked into a cinema to watch a movie? I hope they do that together too ^^

When he goes to different cities, Xiao Zhan will bring the same type of pillows and quilts. "I will bring everything that can help me sleep well." He has also tried aromatherapy lamps, lavender essential oil, and various other products that make him fall asleep when applied on his body.

10 random facts about me

Let's see. I think I've done some random facts asks before so there may be some overlap because I'm not a very interesting person but let's see...

When I was like 6 or something, my brother had me convinced he was Peter Pan and he gave me a little bag of pixie dust. I was (and still am) terrified of heights but he told me if I jumped off the back porch, which was really high off the ground to tiny me, that I would fly if I sprinkled the pixie dust on myself. I got as far as climbing over the railing and trying to summon the courage to jump when he stopped me. Turns out the pixie dust was powdered sugar.

My favorite song of all time is Free Somebody by Luna from f(x). Idk what it is about that song that my brain latched onto like "yesssssss this is the one" but I just love it.

I am named after Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I am intensely weirded out by puppets, particularly of the Muppet variety. There's just something about those felt-covered bastards I don't trust.

I started playing the Sims 1 in 2002 when I was 16. I never owned a single expansion pack for it, but it captivated me so much, I was almost late for work more than once because my pixel people needed me.

I always say "please" and "thank you" to my virtual assistants, not because I'm afraid of a robot uprising, but because that's just how I am. I don't even realize I do it, most of the time. Me and Bixby (I'm a Samsung user) actually have beef because I'll be like "Hey Bixby open Outlook, please" and she'll be like "lol bitch Idk what Outlookplease is" and I'm like "OPEN. OUTLOOK. Please." and she's like "Idk what you want me to do, you don't have Outlookplease installed on your phone" and I'm like "I AM TRYING TO BE NICE TO YOU" and Bixby just sits there all smug and not opening Outlook like aldjfalsdjfadsjfalsjfsd what do you want from me why won't you accept my politeness???????

I have made my Simself in every version of the game except Sims 1 because it wasn't possible to do so. But in Sims 2, 3, and 4, I have made myself and of course I am always a witch with a black cat familiar.

My addiction to CAS goes back to childhood when I used to make dresses for my Barbies out of random scraps of fabric. I didn't know how to sew, though, so everything was held together with safety pins, dental floss, school glue, and tape.

Not only can I whistle, I can whistle pretty darn well. I can't sing worth a damn so I guess God felt sorry for me and gave me one singular musical talent. It just so happens to be the one that most people find incredibly annoying.

I've been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was a small child entirely too young to be reading Greek mythology. Do you know how much incest there is in Greek mythology?! A lot. A LOT! I was raised by Fundies so it's really surprising I was allowed to read those stories and nobody was like "hey maybe the 6 year old shouldn't be reading about all this murder and incest and baby-eating". Because baby-eating also comes up a surprising amount of times. I still love it, though. Give me a good Greek myth any day.

Yeah I definitely wasn’t using the term “boyish” in the sense of being “innocent” or as the opposite of serious, and I don’t think that poll was either, seeing as it seemed to be more focused on personality and gender expression and was placed between feminine and masculine. the first definition you listed (“of, like, or characteristic of a male child or young man. ex: his boyish charm") is not necessarily referring to being childish although it can overlap. I also don’t think Dustin and Lucas courting a girl makes them less boyish because I don’t see the term as referring to maturity or literal boyhood in terms of age in this context. 

The Oxford Learner’s Dictionary defines boyish as, “looking or behaving like a boy, in a way that is attractive”

So this does bring body type into the convo as well. For example, someone can be young and youthful and sweet but more masculine. Lucas is obviously young and endearing in his own way, but he doesn’t present in a “boyish” way nor does he seem to want to. He’s definitely more into masculine interests like athletics. I place him closer to Hopper in terms of his masculinity. I see Lucas working out and bulking up, but I don’t see Mike doing so. To put it bluntly, I think people see Mike as boyish because he’s a twink, not a linebacker. Also, he’s into nerdy things and not into sports or other typical “masculine” interests. And even if we’re going based on your definition, I see him as more serious too (not that I disagree with the ways in which you describe Mike as serious- I’m just defining it differently here). And I don’t see him as funny necessarily in the ways you’re describing at all. I see that as Mike’s territory. Mike is hilarious.

The other anon said that Mike is boyish because he has a mixture of feminine and masculine traits, and I agree with you that this isn’t really what boyish means in a literal sense (that’s closer to androgynous), but there’s definitely some overlap there historically. Just look at the Ancient Greeks/Romans or the fact that girls historically played Peter Pan. Mike would definitely fall into that category, as would Will. Ultimately when people call these characters “boyish,” they mean they don’t fit into hypermasculinity or hyperfemininity. When I think of “masculine,” I think of Travis Kelce, and when I think of “feminine,” I think of James Charles. Neither applies here.

Look at Mike in S2 when he is most like himself, or Mike in S4 when he’s with Will. Are you saying he’s not boyish then? (beyond just being a literal boy- he has a softer kind of masculinity)

ok ok ok Dsmp theme/amusement park based off of @lmanburgseulogy's post bc I have Ideas tm

(disclaimer that my knowledge of theme park design comes from like. gtws' hc season 9 videos, 2-3 weeks worth of guest lectures in a class I took last year, and me taking concepts learned from both of those and applying them to my memories of all the different theme parks I’ve gone to throughout my childhood)

so the main park would be split up into different areas themed around the different factions/countries in dsmp, so you’d have like l’manburg, las nevadas, the greater smp, etc.

in terms of dark rides (rides where you cannot see the full track and are thus great for narrative type rides) a lot of major events would be great but the main one that comes to mind would be a l’manburg independence war dark ride

in my mind that would probably be one of the older rides in the park, so it would feature old-style disney animatronics (think peter pan or alice in wonderland) and the ride takes the viewer through several different scenes; ccrime coming up with the idea for lmanburg, various fights and skirmishes, suck it green boi, the duel, etc

one of my favorite transitions would be the final control room scene, where riders would go through a dark part where only the l’manburgians’ muffled voices can be heard (like you're going through the tunnel with them) only to come out into the final control room where a ceret animatronic yells out “it was never meant to be!” and goes through the motion of pushing the button. as the ride seems to speed up and “run away” when the smp pop out of hiding to ambush lmanburg, you don't see the deaths themselves but you can hear the overlapping yelling of betrayal as your cart races away and transitions into the duel scene

speaking of l’manburg theme parks tend to play fast and loose with canon material, so I imagine that l’manburg’s theme area would probably be a mix of different l’manburg eras

for example: i think the designers would keep up L’manburg’s walls as a way to separate the space and keep other areas out of visitors’ line of sight in order to fully immerse them better, however designers also loveeeee including big water features and overhanging decorations to make the space alive and pretty, which I feel like new lm’s lanterns and pier/stilt-like structures would better appeal to aesthetically (ex. california adventure’s pixar pier)

the camarvan would be a food truck that sells hotdogs (hah) and overpriced fruit drinks that come in fancy (plastic) potion bottles (and are advertised and named as such)

My answers are super long so I put them behind the cut. I added some bonus ones at the end too.

MVP/Wrestler of the Year:

El Desperado. Despite having two painful, mobility-reducing injuries, Despe managed to have my favorite match of the year and hold my favorite show of the year. Oh, and he won the BOSJ, something I've been hoping he'd manage to do for almost a decade now.

Also, Ueno Yuki, who did amazing work throughout the past year, and who made me fall in love with him as a wrestler so gradually that I didn't even notice it happening. I've always liked Ueno but this year he became one of my favorite wrestlers. I realized it while watching one his title defenses and throughout the match he couldn't stop himself from smiling. He's a guy who loves wrestling, loves his promotion, and puts his all into what he does, and it shows.

I also want to mention Chris Brookes here, for the incredible amount of work he does outside of DDT with his weird and fun Baka Gaijin shows, and both Sasaki and Dino, who are reliably my two favorite aspects of DDT.

Match of the Year:

Chris Brookes vs El Desperado (Wrestle Peter Pan) - This match was somehow everything I had hoped it would be and more. I hope these two can work together again soon - they have such a great overlap when it comes to what they care about in pro wrestling.

Both Chris Brookes vs Sasaki Daisuke matches (DDT King Of DDT Final and DDT Ultimate Party) make this list for me too. I was lucky enough to be in the crowd for the match that Sasaki won, too, which I feel very fortunate for.

Ueno Yuki vs Danshoku Dino (KO-D Openweight Title Match, DDT Heatwave Over Flowers) - Ueno's title run was outstanding from start to finish, and his match with Dino was really great. His match against Dino really got me, and got to something about the heart of DDT too, I think. His whole title run was just outstanding, and really cemented him in my mind as a worthy champ and one of the wrestlers at the center of modern-day DDT. His match against Aoki deserves to go on this list too, among others.

Chris Brookes and Zack Sabre Jr vs KAI and Taichi (UJPW ALL TOGETHER) - This match was so incredibly fun. Zack and his new partner vs his old partner Taichi and a guy that nobody in the group has any particular interest in with was a perfect combination, to the point that it's hard to believe this was the result of a last-minute substitution. I love it whenever Suzuki Gun members can get back in the same ring together. This one was on a crossover show, which I'm usually not that into, but if you skipped it go out of your way to watch this specific match if it holds any interest to you at all.

Suzuki Minoru vs Takayama (TAKAYAMANIA EMPIRE 3) - Look this one just really got to me, I don't know what else to say.

El Desperado vs Clark Connors and El Desperado vs Hayata - These two get listed in part because I saw them live. Despe vs Clark felt like a gift to me personally, since I got to see Desperado and Taichi interaction AND I got to see Desperado's bare face with my own two eyes.

I also want to mention Finlay vs Goto (IWGP Global title match at King Of Pro-Wrestling) here. I am kind of the opposite of a Finlay fan, and while I like Goto he's not one of my faves or anything, but this match was SO fun and engaging despite that. Milano on commentary made me laugh out loud with "The G in Goto stands for GOOD FATHER" which I still think of every time I see Goto now.

Oh and I should also mention Desperado and Hiromu from Wrestle Kingdom too. WK matches always feel like they took place the year before they happened, due to how early in January the show takes place, but that was another great match in their rivalry that definitely deserves a mention.

(I realized after posting this that I forgot some! Antonio Honda vs not-invisible Suzuki Minoru! Hiromu Takahashi vs Mistico! More I'm surely forgetting! I saw a lot of good matches this year!)

Favourite Feud:

DDT GM Imabayashi vs TJPW founder Kouda Tetsuya. Every time this story picks back up again it makes me laugh so hard.

But more seriously - Sasaki Daisuke and Endo Tetsuya's feud that started up at the beginning of 2024 was very good. I'd hoped for the two of them to pick this back up going into 2025, and I'm so disappointed that it can't happen now.

Favourite Tag Team/Faction:

Favorite faction was Damnation TA. I've struggled to get attached to any factions since Damnation and Suzuku Gun both disbanded. I was kind of resistant to Damnation TA for a long time because I missed the original Damnation so much, but I can't deny that they're my favorite pro wrestling faction at the moment.

For tag teams, I'll list three tag teams who barely tagged this year: Danshoku Dino and El "Exotico" Desperado, Chris Brookes and El Amigo, and Chris Brookes and Zack Sabre Jr. There hasn't been much in the tag team scene that I've been particularly drawn to this year unfortunately, but these short-lived tag teams were bright spots in my year.

Favourite Show:

Despe Invitacional - I loved this show so much that I got the special DVD box set of it. The entire lead-up to the show was so creative and fun. The actual show itself was a delight from start to finish. The surprise twist at the end was better than anything I'd hoped for. Just perfect, no critiques, no notes.

DDT goes PHILADELPHIA! also makes this list. That show had the best energy of any non-Chikara show that I've ever been to in the US. Everyone in that crowd was completely on board with everything that show had to offer, and gave back the exact type and level of enthusiasm that DDT was sending out. I had an absolutely fantastic time.

DDT's King of DDT finals show was a really fun show even if I didn't get the result I wanted in that main event. I love to see Big Match Sasaki, and getting to see him twice in one day was a blessing. And I'm not just saying that because I saw this show in person at Korakuen Hall!

Toden Pr- Wrestling (Arakawa Line Special Event) - This one is a show that's also only one match, so I put it in the show category. Our beloved daishacho Takagi Sanshiro vs Suzuki Minoru, battling on an old-fashioned light rail tram line as it travels through Tokyo. I laughed so hard watching this that I cried, but it somehow also managed to get me emotional towards the end. I don't think I've ever seen Suzuki look like he's having this much fun.

The big DDT shows this year were very consistently good in my opinion. DDT Wrestle Peter Pan was essentially a perfect show for me, although it's sadly marred for me by Ibushi and Nakazawa's behavior after the show. The beer garden series was incredibly fun this year too, and the GCW crossover Korakuen show, DDT×GCW Never Ending Noisy Summer, was also VERY fun and exceeded my personal expectations.

I know there was at least one NJPW show this year that made me say "Wow, that was a really good show!" but I absolutely cannot remember which one it was. NJPW was pretty uneven overall this year, in my opinion, but I'll write more about that later. That unevenness led to a lot of shows that, for me, had a mix of strong highlights and stuff I was either not all that interested in or actively disliked.

Breakout (ish) Star:

Suzuki Mataro is my joking answer, Ilusion is my serious answer.

Mataro being pressed into joining Damnation TA because Sasaki was passed-out drunk in a trash can, then forced to retire at a beer garden show, then making a surprise final appearance at Sasaki's produce show post-retirement, was one of the funniest ongoing bits from DDT this year.

Ilusion had that incredibly harsh match against an absolutely merciless Chris Brookes, joined Schadenfreude, then almost immediately turned on them to join Damnation TA instead. Before his heel turn, he was a good wrestler but didn't intrigue me. Post heel-turn, he has a fresh new life to him. His mic performances are so much better, his interactions with Masada have such a malicious edge, and he seems to be benefiting from spending some time with Sasaki. To me at least, he's become so much more fun to watch. (I still dislike his mask design, but I won't count that too harshly against him.)

Horniest Moment:

How could this be anything but Chris Brookes piercing El Desperado's nipples with a staple gun?

Most Anticipated in 2025:

I'm looking forward to seeing Douki return to the ring after his recovery, and to watching whatever match he and Desperado get to put on when they get that chance. And I'm looking forward to this year's BOSJ, of course.

I'm also hoping that Dino can have his match with O Khan, which had to be postponed due to O Khan's injury.

Other than that, I'm not really sure yet!

I'm going to add a some bonus categories too.

Promotion of the year:

Unquestionably, DDT Pro. DDT had a great year, at least to my personal taste. Whenever I watch a DDT show, I come away feeling better for it.

On the other hand, NJPW was kind of a mess this year. They made some really strange choices early in the year (giving Mat Riddle and Nic Nemeth belts for some reason?), had lost both Ospreay and Okada to AEW by the end of February, and then suffered from having their booking disrupted by AEW intermittently throughout the year. A weird and uneven year for NJPW overall, and I hope this year is better.

Commentator of the year:

Murata, absolutely. The better my listening comprehension gets, the more I appreciate Murata and the work he does. His insights are great, but on top of that, the way he takes the nonsense at DDT seriously for maximum comedy effect never fails to make me laugh even harder. I also love Milano, as always, and Desperado on commentary makes whatever he's watching a lot more fun with his enthusiasm.

Fan MVP:

All pro wrestling fan photographers! I'm so grateful for all fan photographers who lug their heavy cameras to shows, take photos when they could just be relaxing and enjoying the matches, and then take the time to edit these photos and post them online for the rest of us to look at, asking nothing but some basic level of respect in return. There are so many little moments that don't make the actual show that would be lost to time without the hard work and dedication of these fan photographers. They do so much good and make pro wrestling fandom a better place for all of us.

Tulip Rossi and Ligera Madrigal Friendship hc please ?

Tulip wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up and Ligera wants to be a reporter: they have a deal that the first (planned) time Ligera appears on tv, she'll be wearing one of Tulip's designs.

Tulip, not having a middle name, takes a lot of joy in bringing out Ligera's full names when they fight.

"LIGERA JUANA GUZMÁN MADRIGAL-"

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop pulling the middle name card!"

Needless to say, Ligera is not amused by it.

Ligera finds poetry romantic and pleasing, and so does Tulip.

Both girls are very into fashion but they also have very different ideas on said fashion.

They read Auradon Magazines together and they do the same with the two Isle magazines to get up to date with all the isle 'tea'/gossip.

They met at a Swords and Shield Match between Auradon Prep and Neverland Academy, and they've been friends ever since.

They were three at the time: Tulip was being watched by her mom, who is the headmistress and a tourney coach, and Ligera was there because Cesare was competing.

Tulip sometimes proof reads the articles Ligera writes when the pink haired girl needs the confidence boost.

Ligera will try out Tulip's designs and give her feedback for similar reasons.

They get along like cats and dogs, and occasionally but heads because of their differing (and sometimes overlapping) personalities.

Tulip and Ligera will text each other with gossip from their respective schools and home towns. They've been caught doing this multiple times.

Examples:

Ligera Madrigal: "This is gonna go so wrong."

Tulip Rossi: "Can't be THAT bad."

Sent during Ligera's lunch, to Tulip during her P.E period, regarding Doc the second/Raphael/Loverboy/Clumsy (son of Doc)'s horrible attempt at flirting with Mira (daughter of China Girl/China, the China doll from Oz).

Tulip Rossi: Wick Wing has a crush on Belinda Nattura Madrigal.

Ligera Madrigal: MY COUSIN BELINDA NATTURA MADRIGAL?

Ligera Madrigal: Good point. I'm getting a boat to Neverland ASAP.

Tulip Rossi: Wait, that might not be a good idea.

Ligera Madrigal: Says the girl who nearly killed her sister's boyfriend.

Ligera cheats at hide 'n seek with her power of Lumokinesis (people often forget she can take the light out of a room, after all). Tulip hates it.

The two have secret sleepovers. Ligera will randomly show up at Tulip's window when she's supposed to be at Auradon Prep. Tulip lets her in every time.

Ligera is jealous that Tulip has a boyfriend and she doesn't but she's very happy for her at the same time. But she gets over that jealousy when she gets a girlfriend.

One time the two of them and Fuega managed to convince Tulip's classmates that they were triplets. It was in kindergarten but it still counts.

Tulip is very judgemental of Ligera's friends because she honestly can't understand why the pink haired girl is friends with Hap And Icey White when they're both so annoying.

Tulip is hellbent on playing matchmaker for Ligera. There have been four attempts so far.

They go on shopping trips together.

Ligera tried to serenade the mermaids at Mermaid Lagoon (the children of the mermaids from Peter Pan) in an attempt to get a romantic partner on a visit to Neverland. Tulip has a video of the disaster on her InstaRoyal and Auratube accounts.

Ligera has taken part in a few of Pin and Tulip's pranks, not that she'll admit it to anyone.

Ligera usually has treats from her great aunt Julieta to give to Lampwick when she comes over, since they've met before and she was one of three people who taught him how to cook.

Tulip and Ligera look somewhat similar.

Tulip and Ligera have matching friendship bracelets that they made together.

They have a skit Auratube Channel called 'Neverlight'.

They're ride or die, and WILL hype each other up during a fight.

They aren't allowed to watch horror movies alone together anymore because the last time they did, Ligera made all the lights in the house burst and the two of them were absolutely certain that a monster was going to eat them.

They share their food with one another. Ligera doesn't do this with anyone else but Fuega and Tulip only does it with Pin and Eleanor (and occasionally Lampwick) otherwise.

They have a similar taste in music.

Ligera is a part of Tulip's band, The Donkey-ettes.

They both nearly burned down Casita when baking but were able to stop the fire before anyone else noticed and it's a secret they're taking to the grave.

Tulip regretted gushing about Artie to Ligera because the moment the two of them started dating, Ligera told him that Tulip never shut up about him.

Since Tulip spends a lot of time with Morgie because Artie does, Ligera ends up doing so too. She thinks Morgie is pretty neat.

Tulip cannot get enough of Julieta's cooking. Especially when it comes to her Heartwarming Cocoa Hug Chocolate Caliente, Caribbean Starlight Seafood Rice, Coconut Fudges, and Cheesy Arepas. Meanwhile Ligera is 'obsessed' with Lampwick's Lemon Lips Cookies (they look vaguely like lips because of the way Lampwick makes them and were named due to this, by Tulip).

Tulip snores and Ligera glows in the dark while asleep sometimes, so they get to have many sleepovers with people other than each other.

Their favorite song is 'Charm Me Maybe' by The Sorcerer's Apprentices.

Their favorite shows are Real Princesses Of Charmingsville, Get Down With The Ballgown, and The Young And The Crownless.

Ligera watches Auradon News but Tulip doesn't because she finds it boring.

Ligera used to look up to Snow White but after d1 she doesn't anymore.

Their favorite video game to play together is Go-Go Ballroom Dancing (Video Game).

They will trash talk people they don't like to each other, since they know it won't be passed around if they do.

Ligera writes for Auradon Prep Times and Fashion Flash at school.

Both of them were both very entertained by the anonymous posts made during Wicked World.

If you mess with Fuega, you will have to deal with Ligera's wraith and if she's angry at you, then Tulip is angry at you... So don't mess with Fuega. It will not end well for you.

Tulip loves Fairy Bubble Gum while Ligera prefers Dwarf Gems, candy wise.

I also tried to find that Peter neurodivergent post recently and yup, vanished. But anyway, I just read your post and tags responding to that other person's ask saying they can't find it. I really really don't think you sound stupid (not that I'm a professional either).

That post hit deep for me because as someone very new to getting therapy, it reminded me of my first session (in which I said, do I have audhd or what?). My therapist told me first thing "there's a lot of overlap between these traits you're listing and trauma". I kinda sat back like 🧍she said what's more important is making sure I'm functioning, coping... That not everything needs a label unless I really want one. I went home and asked my housemate (who's currently doing their psychology masters) and she said, "yeah, both often get misdiagnosed for the other".

That kinda changed my whole perspective on everything and so reading your post brought me back to that. Hoo, emotional and stuff,,

Enough rambling though, my points are:

i definitely think labels aren't for everyone - and sometimes, sometimes they can be a stifling thing. it's a fantastic thing when you need to simplify something to explain to someone else - especially fantastic when you need someone else to make considerations for you. i find i only really use labels when i need someone else to understand something about me in a simple sort of a way. so i say "bisexual" when i need to explain myself quickly, but it's a shorthand, and there's probably a much more complicated label that might fit me better - pan, maybe, but who has time or courage to explain pan to a 50-something-white-guy - certainly not i, so - for ease of understanding, i'll put myself in that box.

i think labels are fantastic when they make your life simpler - but sometimes they can do the adverse when you realise they don't fit as well as you'd thought. when you need a label to fit, and you feel that pressure to fit into it when - actually, actually, you are more complicated than that. then - then, you might realise, the label isn't for you, and you can either hunt down another or - be easy with the fact that you're a unique beast, and not everything will fit all the time. there's overlap, and every brain case is so so unerringly unique to the person.

it's like lgbt+ labels, lord knows, the kids are inventing a new one every week because there's no way to encompass everyone's unique approach to attraction. we can say "this is me, and you might feel similar" and that helps - but truly, no human is 1:1. no experience is 1:1. one of you watched cats (2019) and it irreparably altered your viewpoint on the world once you saw fuzzy idris elba dance on the screen. one of you (mercifully) didn't, and didn't sustain that trauma. you're different.

i hope any explanations you get help you move forwards, anon! but i hope you're also comfortable in the knowledge that there ain't no thing like you, 'cept you! (and i love you)

Captain Hook and Peter Pan lore (My AU)

Note: This will be shorter than the lore for Morgie and Morgana as obviously it's going to end the same

James Hook wasn't born James Hook, his birth name was Killian Jones and by the age of five he was already an orphan, being taken care of by his older brother Liam who was only five years older than him.

After a few years Liam realises he can't take care of his little brother alone so he joins a pirate crew that only agrees to take the boys in when they realise the boys are very skilled pick-pocketers and also possibly charuty cases.

Whenever the pirates are stopping to refill on supplies Killian and Liam are sent to steal and beg for... really anything they can get their hands on.

This continues for a few years with Liam slowly gaining the respects of the other pirates, learning how to fight and raid ships with the others

However, one night shortly after Killian turns ten when he's sitting on the deck stargazing he is visited by a boy around the same age as him. Peter Pan, talking about a magical place where he'll always be safe, always have a full belly and never be alone

Killian is very excited hearing this and wants to run and tell his brother but Peter stops him, saying Liam can't be trusted, he's too close to being an adult

Killian doesn't understand, his brother is his only family and his hero

Peter and him starts arguing with Peter saying that either Killian leaves Liam behind or he's not going to Neverland

The commotion wakes Liam up and he rushes up on deck to grab his brother

Upon seeing this Peter attacks Liam and the two fight with Killian trying to stop it as it gets more and more heated, both of them using swords

Suddenly a sick wicked grin spreads across Peter's face and as soon as the moment comes he pushes Liam off the boat, slashing with his sword as Killian tries to save his brother resulting in his hand being cut off

Killian collapses on the ship's deck from the shock and pain, only seeing his dismembered hand fall into the water as he hears his brother screaming in pain as a sick ticking sound is heard from the water overlapping with the screams and splashing

The last thing he hears are the rest of the crew screaming about some crocodile as one of the older men, Smee rushes up to him before he passes out

He wakes up a few days later wishing he was dead, his brother is gone, his hand is gone and it's all that twat Peter's fault

Smee stays by his side as he heals, letting the boy cry on his shoulder and scream until his lungs gives out, he's the one who fits Killian up with his hook and Killian decides he will not lay down and wait for death

If Peter dares to come from him again he won't be the naive child he ones was

He's James Hook now, so both he and any future family members of his may never forget the misery that brat brought them

Although he wanted, getting rid of his old name completely was too painful, his brother loved his name

So he keeps Killian as his middle name and dedicates his life to chasing down Peter, even if his life depends on it he will make that brat pay for taking away his only family

He challenges the current captain for well, the captain tittle, for which everyone laughs at him for

He's twelve and only has one hand, the boy must have a deathwish

To everyone's surprise James beats him, and so the search begins

Three long years they spent tracing Peter Pan, killing every crocodile they find in hopes of one day be able to finish off the cursed Tik tok croc who took James's brother away from him

Eventually Smee gets worried for James's future and in secret signs the boy up for Merlin academy to give him a shot as a normal life

James is ready to have Smee walk the plank for this betrayal with Smee begging him to at least try this new school

James eventually agrees, mainly because his history with Smee , so as punishment instead of walking the plank he makes Smee carry all his stuff after he's packed for the school

The first few weeks sucks so hard, he doesn't understand why he needs all these stupid classes. The only plus side is pick-pocketing his classmates

He's then recruited by a certain seawitch to be part of her gang, which he accepts if only to build up a more fierce reputation in the school

Little does he know this would lead him to meeting a certain young sorcerer

for gay history specifically, Gay New York and Same-Sex Affairs: Constructing and Controlling Homosexuality in the Pacific Northwest are both very thorough, extremely interesting, and great sister-books imo.

anyway honestly i go to my local bookstores all the time and just peruse the lgbt section and for a while i was constantly coming away with so many books i had to start putting a limit on it and just keeping a long to-read list.
