ex-Christian pagan culture is saying “oh my god” without ever meaning it toward your deity whatsoever—you’ve just gotten in the habit of saying it and have yet to break it.

Birthstone Correspondences - November
November is my birth month and happens to also have two stones that correspond with it-
Topaz promotes truth, forgiveness and self-realization; it brings generosity, abundance and good health. It is traditionally known as a stone of love, good fortune as well as bringing successful attainment of one’s goals. Citrine is a very powerful stone for attracting abundance, prosperity, and helping manifest dreams into reality.
Citrine attracts the tools, connections, people, information and opportunities necessary to attain a goal. This crystal improves self-esteem, mental clarity, and restores vitality. It encourages one to follow their dreams, making it perfect for entrepreneurs and personal development. This gem works mainly with the solar plexus and is believed to be a powerful manifestation tool.

Things Pagan Content Creators don't show you
Hi, My name is Tony; I am a solitary Heathen/Pagan! There's tons of Pagan, Heathen, Witch, and Wiccan Content Creators out there as we all know! Has it ever struck you as odd that they always seem to be connected with the gods or their practice? Well I got news for you; heres a list telling you what a lot of them will never say(mostly, and sometimes will say if asked but most of the time they aren't).
The point of this list IS NOT to shame them, its to bring awareness to the community, to give motivation, and to overcome possible Imposter Syndrome with our paths and practices.
*** Most, and yes, MOST people of our community in fact do not have daily, weekly, or even monthly conversations or workings with gods or deities. Yes, we can all work with them, however that doesn't mean there's always a line of communication. Content creators will brush over this, and yes it does seem to us, like they talk to them all the time. Not the case.
*** Before I say this next one, I will go ahead and recognize that a lot of people say this too, I'm bringing this up for again, awareness.
It is okay to stop Practicing, Offerings, Praying, and any forms of work with our craft or path. Taking a break from it is sometimes necessary. We are human. We will get overwhelmed sometimes and THAT'S OKAY!! You are not any less of a Pagan because of it, and if anyone says otherwise, send them to me. Fuck those people, its your craft, not theirs.
*** You do not need that expensive altar and altar pieces. You don't! Most us Pagans are in the working class and simply can't afford these extravagant altar. You can buy whatever you want but you don't need most things for your craft. (Not shaming the people with amazing altars btw, even I look at them)
*** Can't afford certain offering items? That's fine! Here's some things you can use for offerings for my budget pagans and witches. Food from your plate, WATER(easiest and great offering for any occasion, I recommend water especially with ancestor work), Herbs you probably already have, crafts you do, creative writings, crafts, music, plants, and the list goes on.
*** Your craft is your craft. Again, your craft is your craft. As long as you're not culture appropriating, do whatever feels right.
*** When these bigger creators go on break and say they are taking a hiatus, they do not really go into detail that they did nothing for months, they will tell you about the one or two things that DID happen. Again, this can discourage their audience. Again, I'm not attacking creators for this, cause who wants to say they did nothing for months? Exactly.
*** Most importantly, if you identify as Pagan, THAT! IS! ENOUGH! Just believing our ways and the gods and deities is enough to be Pagan. I don't care what anyone says.
As stated earlier, this post was not to put down Content Creators in any way. I am simply hoping I can empower my community. I struggled for a long time thinking I wasn't Pagan enough because I felt I wasn't doing enough or didn't have the money or time to invest. Be the best you can be for yourself, not other people. You're loved, and doing enough.
Stay Heathen my friends~

On Sunday, I had some friends over. We used to do that a lot. Every single year, we'd all get together before covid. Typically, about one or two weeks before yuletide. This year, we finally did it again.
In the past, we had turkey, a grand feast that we all chipped in for. This year, we just Doordashed, and we had a really good time. We are all some flavor of pagan and / or spiritually curious. One of them honors many deities, and she asked me if she could give Thor some mead on my altar. I told her sure that's fine!
When she was done, she said my altar was the only one that she ever felt she could do that with. That anyone else's she never felt this connection about where it felt okay. I told her: "that's because it was designed that way." The gods never wanted me to limit my space to myself. I welcome those I invite with open arms, and they're welcome to leave offerings on my altar at any time for any reason. A few have done so in the past, her included.
It's special in a way.. perhaps even the reason why I no longer wish to pursue a social network with other pagans other than what I already have. Like joining the Troth (I did before and wasn't super amazing). Cuz I've been very lucky to have friends whom I honestly feel, the gods have led to me. We all get along, do things differently, and even think about different things or similar. But it has taken me a good portion of my life to be where I am now. So it's more that I didn't pursue it, rather that it happened naturally on its own, and was even there when I didn't know it!
Be thankful for those moments. Even if it's not what you expect. The winter tidings, Yulenir, the yuletide, the power of winter may surprise you if you are open to it. In some strange modern way, I feel as though..I'm doing what the ancestors did. Living life, involving faith and people who match up with mine, and just celebrating time with those people. It's mundane, but it's special. Special in a way that spiritual woo time just isn't.
I thank Frigg for this sense of family I get with them. It's probably the closest thing I'll ever have to a real social group anyway, but you know.. I'm glad because it means it isn't fake or forced, or because of spirituality. And yeah, that stuff is great, but what's really awesome is we just ended up being that way and coming together. I think in some way, that's what Yule really is on a more realistic level. You gather in winter, waiting for the sun's return, and the light of that love and compassion warms us as she's hidden. Family and friendship is what makes yuletide worth something, in my opinion. It's not just about the gods. It's about those we care for and about, too.

“I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door”
- Lyrics by Hozier, the sketch of snake by myself, Tegwin Huws; the Germanic snake and the Irish snake, symbols of pre-Christian worlds and post-Christian evolution comes to a different story when in Wales, and it’s native culture. A snake, both in the form of a former Irish creature wiped away by the coming of European Catholicism, and the evolutions of Germanic cultures with wider Christianity, wrapping itself around a sword is the symbol of the Huws family; the snake begged the Huws’s to save them, and we said that we would, as long as they cut themselves to pieces on the weapon that would protect they and their worlds

Phillis Wheatley condemned slavery, but celebrated that it had taken her from what she described as her pagan culture in Africa. Her language is of its time:
On Being Brought from Africa to America
By Phillis Wheatley
'Twas mercy brought me from my Pagan land,
Taught my benighted soul to understand
That there's a God, and there's a Saviour too:
Once I redemption neither sought nor knew.
Some view our sable race with scornful eye,
'Their colour is a diabolic die.'
Remember, Christians, Negros, black as Cain,
May be refin'd, and join th' angelic train.
"Normal Women: 900 Years of Making History" - Philippa Gregory

There is no such thing as a beginner deity.
There is no necessary changes you need to make to your life in order to worship a deity.
There is no psychological preparation that needs to be done.
You don't need to break a habit. Reframe your psyche. Finish medical treatment. Reach a life 'milestone'. in order to worship a deity.
If anything you should approach a deity to help you through these things.
Learning the religion can occur at the same time as worship. They can be parallel events.
You can begin worshipping a deity the day you read this. There is no future point in time where you will somehow be more ready to approach a deity.
You are already ready.
Edit: *excluding closed cultures

Birthstone Correspondences - March
March is a very fun month as it has two stones corresponding to it-
Aquamarine is a rare gemstone that helps balance emotions, calm overactive minds, relieve stress, enhance self expression, eliminate hate, dispel fears, combat phobias and cleanses one’s energetic field. Aquamarine works mainly with the throat chakra and it enhances public speaking abilities, writing skills, self-expression, confidence and other communication skills. Bloodstone is a great protection stone, but it’s also great for stimulating the determination to accomplish goals. It is believed to heighten courage, decision making, confidence, strength and vitality. It is an excellent companion in rough times; it combats loneliness, eliminates perceived limitations, increases energy levels, enhances sleep, uncovers hidden talents and helps to overcome shyness.
