You had spent weeks upon weeks holed up in your room after the departure of the Sullys and the kidnapping of your dear friend, Spider.

Norm and Max had repeatedly tried to coax you out of it, offering you your favorite types of food or one of their shower times in hopes of getting you out of your room for once.

Nothing had worked. You stayed in your room for hours on end and never left the comfort of it, except to go to the bathroom but even then, it was barely a handful of steps away from your bed that you wouldn’t consider it to be leaving your room.

The argument you and Neteyam had before he left had impacted you, severely.

It was hard to look back on the memories you two made during the short amount of time you were together. Even though he hurt you and broken your trust, you still found yourself yearning for him and wanting to forgive him for what he did. Neteyam wouldn’t keep just anything away from you. He had to have a good reason.

The letter he left at the foot of your door had explained everything to you, but you hadn’t read it until weeks after the Sully family left the Omatikaya clan.

Once you gathered enough strength to pull yourself out of bed and actually read the messy handwriting on the piece of paper, you began to cry but even then, you wasted all your tears during and after your argument with Neteyam. Your tear ducts could no longer produce any of the watery substance that you desperately craved to run down your cheeks.

You felt empty after reading it. You felt as if your world stopped on its axis and everything stood still.

He tried so hard to accurately portray how he felt about you. How much he loved you. How hard it was for him to keep the secret from you. How hard it was to hide you from his loved ones. How he didn’t care that you couldn’t make tshaleyu with him or even bare him children. How all he needed was you and that would be enough for all his lifetimes.

You were the only one that he could see and you let him walk away without saying goodbye. Without touching him last one time. Without kissing his soft lips one last time.

You wished you had just sucked up your pride and hurt and opened the door when he pleaded for you to the day he left.

What would’ve changed? What would’ve happened? Would he have stayed? Would you have gone with him? Did his parents know about your relationship? What would Neytiri think of it? Of you?

So many questions ran through your head during your weeks of self isolation and even after. It hurt to know that Neteyam was out there and you had no idea how he was doing or even what he was doing.

Did he find another? Someone who was actually Na’vi and a suitable partner for him?

No. It wouldn’t have made sense if he did. His letter was proof that you were going to be the only one he’d ever love the way that he did. So deep. So unique from the other types of love he experienced within his life.

Neteyam only ever experienced familial love. That kind of love he had with his Sa’nok, Sempul, Tsmukan, Tsmukes, Grandmother, and even Spider and the other human scientists that were allowed to stay on Pandora.

But the love he experienced with you was different. He experienced it more intensely. Neteyam often found himself thinking about you in the ways only a significant other should. Of how soft your lips felt. Of how your soft, delicate hand felt in his large rough ones. Of what it felt like to have your hands run through his braids and lightly pull at them. Of how it felt to have his head in between your legs as you called out his name in pleasure. Of how it would feel to have your chapped lips on different parts of his skin. His thoughts consumed him wholly. All he wanted was you and it will only ever be you.

You experienced the same thing as Neteyam. You could feel how deep your love and affections ran for him. It consumed your whole being.

That’s why when you saw the familiar earthy colors of a certain ikran, your whole world began to turn on its axis again after being still for so long.

The whole ground seemed to shake upon the arrival of Neteyam, him quickly dismounting his soul companion before rushing up to the lab doors and repeatedly knocking on the cold metal doors.

Neteyam would’ve never thought he’d miss the sight of the humans lab. He was never too fond of it even after getting together with you, but it was your home so it was going to be his too.

Butterflies swarmed within the teen boys stomach as he, not so patiently, waited for you to open the door so he could gather you into his arms and hold you close and tight to his chest as he whispered sweet nothings into your ear and kissed whatever exposed skin he could. He couldn’t wait.

After spending months away from you and nearly dying at the hands of Quaritch’s soldiers that one fateful night, Neteyam had found a new vigor within himself to come back to you.

Shortly after his recovery, Neteyam had told both of his parents of his affections for you and how much he loved and cared for you. Jake had already had a suspicion, catching early on to his sons frequent sneaking out escapades. Neytiri was furious at first. How could he love someone of a different species? The ones that put his home and own species in so much danger and through so much grief? But, then again, Jake was human at one point and his soul always will be one. She too fell for a human at his age. Her anger towards her son, and ultimately you, faded away once she saw that look of pure love and adoration on his face when he talked about you. She couldn’t deny him of that. So, she bit her tongue and kept her thoughts to herself.

Both Neytiri and Jake had decided to allow Neteyam to leave a day earlier than the rest of the Sully family regarding their return to the Omatikaya. It wasn’t a permanent move, at least for now, so they still had the potential to go back to Awa’atlu. It was just a visit.

You would have forgotten your mask if it wasn’t for Max throwing one your way before you opened the only barrier that separated you and your lover.

Once you had secured the mask onto your face and waited a few seconds for it to begin working, you ripped open the door with as much strength you could muster, a huge smile on your face as you did so.

Neteyam didn’t hesitate to bring you into his arms and spin you around, yelling out in joy once he had you in his embrace after so long. You squealed out in delight as he gently spun the both of you around, your arms tightening around the expanse of his neck.

“I’ve missed you so much,” he exclaimed, burying his face into the crook of your neck to inhale your scent that he dearly missed, “I’m so sorry. I love you. I love you. I love you”.

He kept repeating the phrase against your skin until it finally settled into both of your brains.

He truly was sorry for hurting you the way he did. He should’ve never kept that big of a secret from you. Should’ve never kept you a secret.

“I’m so sorry for everything, yawntu,” Neteyam croaks out, fresh tears running down his face as he kneeled onto the ground with you still in his arms.

He wanted you to know that he was sorry. That he regretted what he did, but didn’t regret you or what you did together.

“I love you so much. I understand if you no longer feel the same. I know I wouldn’t if I were in your shoes. But I need you to know that I do,” he continued, rubbing the side of his face into your hair as you sat perched on his lap, raking your fingers through his braids.

You shook your head, pulling away from the blue boy.

Of course you still loved him. You wouldn’t be in his arms if you didn’t.

“Neteyamur,” you started, delicate hands resting against your lover's damp and tear stained cheeks, heart wrenching at the sight, “I love you. Oel ngati kameie. Always. I understand why you kept me a secret and why you did what you did. I still love you, even after.”.

Your words struck a chord in Neteyam’s heart strings. He for sure thought that you’d still hate him for what happened. Hearing those words come out of your mouth made Neteyam fall even deeper in love with you, if that was even possible.

“Oel ngati kameie, yawntu,” he whispered in response, forehead resting against the glass of your mask.

You smiled in return and stroked Neteyam’s soft and damp cheeks gently with your thumbs.

Everything in your world felt complete again. No matter what happened in your relationship or where it’d lead you, both of you knew that you’d follow each other to the ends of Pandora in a heartbeat. Nothing could stand in the way of your love. Not even the two of you.

After the events occurred, Neteyam had, yet again, proclaimed his love to you underneath the Tree of Souls and made you his once again, but for all to know.

Years passed and the both of you lived long, healthy lives together, only leaving each other once the Great Mother called for the both of you to return to her warm embrace. Even then, you spent every second of your shared afterlife in each other’s arms.

✧ what pieces of fiction inspired you to start writing?

A lot of fantasy and adventure novels! I used to read those genres obsessively when I was little. The first story I ever wrote was an adventure plot for a school assignment. It was 17 pages and even illustrated by yours truly lol. The page limit was 1-2, but eight-year-old Meraki couldn't tell a story in such short page length! I remember I used a piano bench as my table and I didn't stop writing and drawing until I was finished. I would snack on cucumber slices during the process. Even though it's such a random memory, I cherish it dearly because it was the first time I realized I was genuinely passionate about storytelling.

Anime/manga was also another big inspiration! In my early teenage years, I loved shows like Assassination Classroom, Black Butler, Watamote, Owari no Seraph, Pandora Hearts, Danganronpa, HETALIA. Omg,,,, what an era that was.........

Reading yan oc stories also inspired me to write yandere fics!! Before writing yan fandom, I wrote a lot of yandere ocs. They are my most beloveds. I adore my ocs. ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ഒ

✧ do you have any favorite novels?

I do! I love the Red Eye series. It's a collection of various horror novels. I read them a lot in my early teenage years. They're all wonderfully written. So much atmosphere in each one! I really enjoy YA literature, especially YA horror. There are plenty of other novels (lots of horror classics), but I can't seem to recall all of them at the moment. ;;;; orz too many to keep up with...

✧ do you think you'd ever want to publish novels someday?

YES. OTL it's been my dream ever since I was little. I've always wanted to publish a novel.

✧ what genre would you delve into?

Definitely horror/thriller! I'd also like to write a fantasy/adventure series. I have plenty of novel plots/concepts and wips, so there is definitely plenty of material to work with.

OMG thanks for asking!! Sorry for the late reply. I had so much to say that I wrote wayyy too much and then had to cut it down, lol.

(Also for those reading the fic rn, Chapter 3 is delayed to next weekend.)

So, the main things that I immediately thought of when I started planning a fix-it was "there's not enough Ben in s4" and "why would they set Allison and Reginald up to parallel each other and not follow through?" and also "that is NOT where I saw these characters going". In essence, I thought that s3 was setting up a certain narrative with all of this and then was like ???? when they went (haha) off the rails. So I'll talk about those three points below. SPOILERS for the fic and s4. It's a long post!

Before I start: one of the major points of this fic (and s4 ig) is that timelines are spilling into each other. That doesn't just mean artifacts. It means people. The Keepers get memories of other timelines. Why shouldn't Ben and Reginald?

Character Arcs

Yeah ... I think the general consensus was that the characters weren't themselves in s4. I actually had no problems with the set-up in ep 1-2, but then ... Five and Lila happened. And the narrative seemed to hate Diego, reduce Luther to a himbo and not much else, and for some reason try very hard to make Reginald a dad to Viktor. Klaus, Allison and Claire had a kind of nice sideplot but I didn't love it. It tortured Klaus for no real reason and made Allison his saviour? And for what?

Anyway, for my fic, I start off the characters the same with some subtle differences.

We don't see Diego at his job. His job is to be a dad. That's his whole thing, that's the best part of him. He's a brother and he's a father, and the narrative will reward him for that

Lila starts by screaming. Can you tell she's NOT okay? She deserves a break and a breakdown, and she'll get both I swear. She is NOT a house wife because she simply wouldn't be. She loves working. I did almost make Diego a househusband though

Side note on Lila's parents: they don't exist because why on earth would Allison think of that and not think of bringing Sissy back? It's clear her fantasy timeline is selfish.

Luther is a stripper still but again, his job is a side note. His first scenes is with Klaus (which, again, was a relationship set up in s3 and never explored??). He's trying damn hard to keep his family together and I want people to appreciate that!!

Allison's first scene is still the studio, but I wanted to expand it to include Klaus. Her story is still of love.

Also Klaus has his own place because he has goddamn agency in this narrative. He and Luther deserve to have a home of their own, and they'd make hilarious roomates imo.

Ray of course, exists

Five is interesting to me because while it makes sense for him to be in the CIA, I can't see him staying with the CIA. This will be explored in ch5. I have a really cool piece written for him.

Viktor my beloved <3 I have no notes, I just want to say I love him. I will of course not let him near Reginald unless to beat Reginald up.

Anyway, I'm going to write a whole separate post for the characters. You opened the Pandora's box anon!

Ben (and Klaus)

I gotta say ... I tried, I really tried, to like Jennifer. She's just such a non-character. We know very little about her, her trauma barely gets explored, the Squid is stupid because all it does is exist and then Ben is like "hehe I have tentacles too! Means we're connected" WHAT?

I was excited for Jennifer. Curious about the Jennifer Incident. Very vindicated when I learned Reginald killed them because lets face it, that's super in-character. But I just ... couldn't get behind Jennifer. So I scrapped her.

Look, if there was anyone that Ben was going to be soulmates with, it was Klaus (platonically).

I mean, isn't that what we learned over two seasons? That Ben and Klaus are inseparable?

(I also don't get the whole Durango thing. TUA has never been all that science-y but at least they tried, but this season they didn't care at all. They really just threw in matter/dark-matter and pretended it was something.)

Anyway, I also don't understand why the fact that Ben was DEAD in another timeline is never bought up properly. In fact, Ben is barely bought up by the siblings? After they discuss his death, they all go off on their own. Viktor's the only one who seems to care (which is fine, I love Viktor and seeing him try to reach out to Ben was nice). Five and Diego are fighting each other during their fight against Ben??? Doesn't make sense - Five saves Ben in s3, Diego hugs Ben so tightly in s2, WHERE. IS. THE. PAYOFF.

(I think that is really what I hated about s4. There is no payoff to all that was built in s1-3. They bring in whole new narrative points without concluding the old ones, and then everyone dies. The end. UGH.)

Anyway, MY BEN needs his Klaus. His memories are a little janky, because timelines, but there has always been one constant. There has always been Klaus. I think even in childhood, they were close (and I'll try to explore that more in the memories). More than that though, Ben needs his FAMILY.

And he might deny that they are his family, but they are. And they will do so much to help him. Including, but not limited to, BEATING REGINALDS ASS (/j)

Allison and Reginald's choice

Okay, the final scene in s3 where we see Allison & Ray and Reginald & Abigail made me think that s4 was going to take this further. Allison and Reginald both made a selfish choice - not in resetting the timeline, but in directly going against the wishes of the loved ones they magicked into the timeline. Ray in s3 is very clear that though he loves her, and will always love her, his place is in Dallas 1963, where he has people he cares about. A life he cares about. Abigail is a bit more subtle, but I remember thinking that it was clear that she wanted to die/was content with dying. I was a pretty casual fan then so I don't know if this was true, but that was the vibes I got from s1, and I was pretty happy that s3 confirmed it just ... not in the way I wanted? I don't mind she destroyed the world because she wanted to die - it's clear Abigail and Reginald think themselves above human lives. I just wish they explored it more.

And again, this parallel was something I got from just the ending of s3. It wasn't a deepdive or anything. I feel like it was such an obvious choice for s4 to go "What happens if you can't let go of the person you love?" And then ... they don't even mention Ray properly. Damn.

I just don't understand why they didn't do it? They set it up so perfectly. UGHHHH.

The main reason Ray exists in my fic is because Allison has to reckon with the fact that she really did pull Ray out of his time, out of his life. And I want her to realise how awful a choice that was. At the same time, I want Reginald to face the exact same thing and choose to do the opposite - hold onto Abigail tighter. Chapter 3 is going to explore a bit more of Allison and Ray, while further down the line we'll see more and more of Abigail.

(ALSO OMG!!! Abigail and Five parallel each other in wayyy more interesting ways than Reginald and Five. I cannot WAIT to write that. But this is more a headcanon hehehehe.)

Other Notes

I think s1-3 set up a lot of things that I assumed was going to be explored and wasn't. I'm going to try and touch upon all of them

the Jennifer Incident felt lacking. s1-2 really were so good because there was a slight mystery to it all, and when there wasn't, there was a ton of dramatic irony - ofc we knew Viktor was the bomb, but it was interesting to see the family figure out that mystery. In the same way, ofc we know Ben is the bomb, but I really though s4 would allow the family to actively search for why and how to stop him. I'm more of a angst & fluff writer but I shall try to write some semblance of mystery here.

Marigold. I will explore. I have Thoughts. chapter 3 will answer more on why it was found by Ben in particular.

Relationships that were set up in s1 will be revisited because as the "last season" I expected it to be. Ofc, Klaus and Ben is the big one, but also Klaus-Diego, Viktor-Allison, Allison-Luther, Five-Viktor, etc. Some new ones will be there, especially with Ben who had little interactions (on account of him being a ghost) and with Lila.

Five continues to be old man on this side of crazy. Sometimes he has good advice. Other times his ideas are unhinged. Early chapters he's mellow because life is normal now but when things go to shit ... oh boy let's NOT forget how paranoid this guy is.

Lila is also a little crazy. Good for her.

Commission!Five is explained more than just a throwaway line in the Five Deli. Five Deli and the Subway is explored more too ofc.

DOLORES MENTIONED BECAUSE SHE IS GODDAMN IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTANDING FIVE. Not even as a "love story" (Five's love story is his familial one), just as a part of his psyche. She is mentioned in EVERY season. She deserves to be mentioned here.

i really only write horror fiction stuff and my brain is forever altered so i usually write in second person just cause that's what feels natural for me :') i like to do pov switching a lot so i will switch from povs within one section- basically a chapter with smaller mini chapters inside if that makes sense

i have a lot of different ideas and projects that i work on but usually when i talk abt my writing i'm talking about my big main project that's i've been working on for 3 years now? but recently i've been working on it more. i've affectionately nicknamed it stray cat club cause of. all the cats. it's still a wip and i have trouble summarizing it cause there's a lot going on and honestly idk which parts are even most important or worth mentioning

it follows three characters most of the time- an anxiety riddled cryptozoology journalist looking for a good story while trying not to fucking die while discovering who they are as a person, a teenage cat girl who isn't actually a cat but sure acts like one who's trying to find her mother after she goes missing while simultaneously try and behave at school so as to not get kicked out despite the horrors, and an ex policewoman turned paranormal detective who's trying to solve a decades old mystery and accidentally uncovers a government conspiracy in the process. they all end up working together eventually and there's a lot of other shitty characters like the sexy demon lady who kinda just kills people in violent and graphic ways cause she's got nothing better to do, the graverobbing morally gray scientist who can't even cook a frozen pizza, a fire mage vampire with anger issues that keeps losing her personal belongings, the teenage daughter of an incredibly affluent family who misses school a lot and there are rumors of her being a witch but it's not like magic is actually real, right and some other assholes of equally questionable caliber

the idea is that all the main characters are working on their own shit and end up meeting each other, realize they can all help each other and in fact are stronger together, and then. then they do that. the setting is also important. it's a city that's kind of infamous for being a paranormal hotspot with lots of haunted locations and cryptid sightings and reports of black magic rituals going on in the woods surrounding the city. and the residents are kind of divided- some people like the reputation and lean into it while others think its stupid and gives their beloved city a bad name, this kind of progresses as the main character plots go along but it does play a big role in stuff that happens later on

idk if there are rlly any specific themes i focus on other than fuck cops and nothing is stronger than the power of friendship. i mostly just like an excuse to write gory scenes and body horror ┐(￣▽￣)┌

i'd mention some of my other stuff but this is already rlly long and i'm sure only like. maybe two ppl care. but yeah this is what i'm working with rn :') like i said it's a wip so the ideas are still kind of vague and messy but as i actually write i get a better vision for what i wanna write hehe

spot number 3 goes to the one and only @sakusins who had me reading fics for characters i didnt even know like no joke shes insane she singlehandedly got me to watch & read tr and she's the only person i'd ever read hanma & gyutaro from

number 4 is none other than @heich0e i got pulled in by her haikyuu fics but i learned she's also crazy good at writing aot and has an aot longfic in the works so i read the few snippets of it that she posts and suddenly im at s3 in just 5 days🧎🏻‍♀️

fifth is shared by @sourstars bc if nikki jie was brilliant at weaving imagery throughout her multichapter fics, pandora is incredible at jampacking her metaphors into shorter pieces without losing any of the emotional impact

and also @chimielie bc i love the way lia writes reader and how lovesick the boys always are and she has such a unique writing style that i do not have the vocabulary to describe but i would bet that if you let me read one of her fics without showing me her url i would probably be able to tell it's her

and because i am literally incapable of shutting up here are other writers whose masterlists i havent gotten the chance to go through but you can bet your life savings ill be spamming them with rbs if i survive the semester

@eightonenine's osamu and omi pieces have my heart in a vice grip but i also would read tsukki and hirugami just for her

@shinunaki has me reading for characters ive never even simped for before (kagami, goshiki,, aran,,,,and i have a feeling shion soon teehee) and now im at least a litol bit in love with them after reading just one fic from him

@augustinewrites she writes such a wide variety of fics and every single one of them is so cute and unique and appeals to my tiny lil heart one day ill sit down and read her entire masterlist in one go dont even try me

@kentoangel roma's fics are always so full of love it is impossible to read her pieces and not be buzzing with serotonin in my veins by the end of it

@nakizumie cant wait to read her older works bc ive only read her newer ones and i just know all her stuff is gonna be so good i can feel it in my bones

@aominology has these really long bulleted fics and other long fics that ive been dying to read bc her drabbles are already have me clutching at my heart

@kairakeiji bc she is a master at switching povs so subtly and the boys are pining SO hard it makes me yearn but also reader loves them just as much which makes it so sweet :(

@duino is another underrated longfic writer she includes so many subtle details that all add up to just fill my whole being with happiness and love by the end of it

@luvbub you know how when reading hcs you might just skip to your faves and ignore those you dont simp for? yeah that's impossible when it's bub's hcs i literally cannot resist i end up reading every single character

@yurens bc she weaves words together so beautifully and her works are on the longer side too so i have to save them for when i can appreciate them properly (my beloved yurens if you dont want to be tagged pls let me know sobs)

The Woo Station definitely happened!

They went ghost hunting on an abandoned theme park before valentines (and since Ponk has spent enough enough time with Sam, he’s picked up on how to repair machines.)

Ponk repaired the love train in the theme park and made Sam go through it because it was his “Valentines gift”

Since they were already together when he did that, Sam was just horrified because: a. They were in the middle of ghost hunting and Ponk left him alone in an old love train that goes through a dark tunnel! b. Who on earth would even ask someone out in an abandoned theme park?! and c. He swore he saw some one glowing near that wall-

“Did you like my surprise Sammy? I spent hours trying to fix that damned track!” “Y-yeah...”

Pandora (Sam’s robot turned evil) was the one to take one of Ponk’s arm. So Sam feels very guilty whenever he sees Ponk’s left arm. He blames himself for even making Pandora in the first place.

Sam had to make Ponk a full body robot suit because Ponk gets a little too reckless. 

“Sapnap fireball me!” “Ponkie just because you have robotic limbs doesn’t mean you’re indestructible-”

Ponk gets very jealous and moody fast, so Sam makes it his mission to shower his boyfriend with as much love as possible.

Sam and Ponk takes care of a lemon bonsai tree together! They can never settle on a name, so they call it random names whenever the bonsai comes up in a conversation.

Their rooms are connected. Sam can have really bad nightmares sometimes and Ponk randomly needs touch to calm himself whenever he gets flashbacks.

The only reason they don’t have a room together is because they break up a lot XD You never know when  you need some alone time.

And of course you can be Owl Anon! I would love to hear your ideas <3
