hi pd!! <3 and YES athalia is althea’s older sister. they’re not yet Developed developed since circuit (circuit-if) and take two (taketwo-if) are still kinda new (and i recommend them hehehe) and the au crossover of those two ifs in my head is kinda messy LMFAO but ok !! i hope this isn’t confusing lfmahaja

they had tons of catfights when they were younger because talia can be bossy and thea likes to talk back lol

talia has always been the more adventurous sister but she got thea into snorkeling and scuba diving. it’s some of their favorite bonding activities

they once dressed up as each other on halloween

here’s where the crossover comes in LMFAO noel and talia were acquainted with each other through micah and thea who used be inseparably close. but they eventually became friends since talia has a passion for racing (or basically any extreme sport that gives her an adrenaline rush) and noel is the biggest mario kart enjoyer. they bonded over that and babysitting their little siblings.

despite micah and thea growing apart, noel and talia kept in touch for as long as they could until life got in the way and they both got really busy. but i imagine they’re still friends <3

talia’s boyfriend (to-be) is named roman. thea’s ex-boyfriend is also named roman. — “i guess it’s a sister thing, huh, ate?” “shut up, thea.”

noel always kicks thea’s ass in mario kart so thea asks roman (circuit) for tips: “i know it’s just a game but you know a lot about racing so…” and talia just stares at them like “umm ??? SO DO I”

roman teases talia like “a lot of the things you know about racing, i taught them to you” and she just tells him to shut up so he steals a kiss on her cheek before turning back to thea: “so what do you need to know?”

talia pretends to be annoyed but it really makes her heart swell seeing her sister and her boyfriend getting along <3

Oh geez, I don't think he would know sign language, considering he has no need for it. He's probably met a few deaf/mute humans before, wonder what was wrong with them, but doesn't bother trying to figure it out since their interactions would be short.

If it were MC he'd probably struggle to figure out what you're trying to do with your hands, thinking it's a strange quirk. He wouldn't figure out you're trying to communicate until later on probably haha.

It felt a little strange. You couldn't remember when was the last time you had seen him or even heard someone mention his name. Yet he was here, face to face with you, after all those years.

"What are you doing here?" Severide asked. His voice brought you back to the present. By the look on his face, you could tell he was surprised. If it was a good surprise or a bad one, you couldn't tell. He’s always been really good at hiding his feelings. "I thought you had moved to Florida." 

"I-I did." You smiled, nodding your head. "Couldn't get used to the weather, though." You confessed, earning a short laugh from the firefighter. You stared at him for a few seconds, lost in your thoughts, not knowing what to say next.

“So,” Severide tilted his head to the side. “What brings you back to Chicago?”. He curiously asked. “Don’t tell me it’s because of the weather.”

You laughed, then flashed a weak smile, looking at the paperwork in your hands. “Work, actually. A new school just opened up and they got in touch with me. Apparently they heard about the work I was doing down in Florida and wanted me to be part of their team.”

“That’s great.” Severide smiled. “I’m sure you're the best person for the job. You never loved anything more than teaching.”

The way he said it made your chest hurt. Your smile instantly faded away. “Kelly…” You took a step closer, trying to keep the conversation private. “Don’t do this. You know I loved you. Right?” You gently squeezed his arm.

“I know that.” He nodded, looking away before meeting your eyes again. "I know you loved me. I just don’t understand why you didn’t love me enough to stay."

The words caught you off guard. Before you could say anything back, he softly touched your hand on his arm and wished you goodbye.

Whilst I love that the 200th is focused on Kim, Burzek and her trauma I also understand why people would prefer it to be a bit more of an ensemble episode.

Yeah, I mean I'm not saying I don't understand that, because I absolutely do. If it was more of an ensemble episode I'd absolutely wouldn't have any complaints.

My issue more is with people who doesn't get why focusing on this trauma storyline for Kim is actually a good way to mark this milestone and that it isn't just them treating it like just another usual episode. Like you could recognise that, but still would've preferred an ensemble and I'd be like okay yeah I respect that opinion. Because I understand it. Especially if Kim/Burzek aren't your cup of tea.

But it's when it's said to make no sense as a celebratory episode that's different, because it does. No matter your preference, that's just fact. Personally, out of the three valid ways to mark this milestone, I'm incredibly happy that it's focusing on Kim, because it's way overdue and needed, but if they chose say an ensemble way of celebrating I'd be fine with that, because it would still make sense, no matter that my preference would be a focus on Kim.

There's also the thing that the writing has not been great for a few years so the team aren't really in that kind of place right now. Preferably, an episode like this would have Big Moments that's been built up to for each character, but they can't just pull that out of thin air, and they aren't close to building up anything else yet. If the writing hadn't been fumbled the past few years, maybe we would be spending this milestone differently. These things don't exist in a vacuum.

But yeah, basically please don't misunderstand me. I do understand why people might prefer that for the milestone, my irritation is just at those who wilfully ignore how focusing on Kim does make sense. Like people can acknowledge that and also have a different preference, they're not mutually exclusive concepts.

Thank you for asking!! I'm sorry if I came across a bit ranty, I just really want to make sure I'm not misunderstood, depending all the hate I tend to get in my inbox when I am and I just cannot deal with that right now.

5. Do you respond to comments? I didn't when I first started posting fics (though I often think about going back and replying to them now, but that would probably be weird lol). But yes, now I definitely respond to comments. I am absolutely giddy over every single one I receive, and so I love to express that appreciation!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hmmmm I don't think any of them? I tend to leave even the angstiest fics on a hopeful note. But I suppose either just close your eyes (you'll be alright) or you know the greatest films of all time were never made just because of where they land in relation to the events of the show?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Probably in paper rings, in picture frames, and all my dreams, because, hello, 💍

16. What are your writing strengths? Oh man, I don't know? I hope I do a decent enough job of getting their voices right? Dialogue is often a battle, but that's probably because of how insane particular I am. I will say things out loud, play around with words, etc. to make sure it really feels like something they would say.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Being too indecisive and my lack of confidence (which, frankly, go hand in hand).

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I haven't done it, but I would definitely be looking to lean on a native speaker to ensure I do it correctly!

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? So hard, but i want you to be happier has a special place in my heart. It was a challenge to write, but the words still came so easily. And when I go back and re-read it, I don't cringe, so that's a win right there!

Eeeee, okay, you know I gotta: 11. When you've been fighting for it all your life for my baby Will Trent 💕

Will doesn’t realise who your father is, not until he finds the photograph by accident. He’s trying to put up a bookshelf above the cabinet in your home office when the damn thing slips from his hand and crashes into the picture frame of your college graduation.

He curses under his breath as it clatters onto the floor before he bends down to pick up the pieces. It’s a picture he’s seen a thousand times throughout the course of the relationship, he just hadn’t realised that up until that moment that he hadn’t seen the whole picture. He’s always thought it was just you and your mom but then he unfolds the part of the image that’s been tucked behind the frame, and he sees your father.

Benito Iglesias.

It’s a name that no one in Georgia law enforcement is likely to forget any time soon, he guesses that’s why you’ve hidden it.

Camilla Rodrigez is what he knows you by, your mother’s maiden name he suspects.

The timing of your transfer to GBI makes a lot more sense now. Captain Iglesias had been arrested almost eighteen months ago for corruption, along with several other cops in Atlanta PD.

It had been Will’s investigation.

You have to know, he thinks as he sits on the floor and stares at the picture, you have to know that he’s the man that sent your father to prison. It raises some questions about your relationship, the most pressing one being, was any of it even real?

He’s waiting for you in the living room, the photograph smoothed out across the coffee table when you return from the grocery store. You’re cooking dinner tonight as a thank you for him putting up the shelves that are currently still propped up against your desk.

“Why?” He asks you when you step through the door.

You hesitate when you see the picture laid out in front of him. Your demeanour changes and he feels the gap between the two of you grow as you set the bag of groceries down. You take a seat alongside of him before picking up the photograph, your thumb tracing over your father’s features before you clear your throat.

“He’s the reason I joined the police you know?” You say quietly, your gaze turning distance. “Now I wonder if he was doing it even back then.”

“He was.” Will finds himself saying. “There’s evidence dating as far back as 92.”

You raise your eyes up to the ceiling and he sees the tears on your lashes.

“I was away at a conference in LA when it happened, my mom called me to tell me he’d been arrested and it’s like my world just fell apart.” You tell him, clutching the image tightly between your hands. “Your dad’s a dirty cop, people assume that you’re a dirty cop. When I transferred to GBI, it was like a fresh start. New name, name place, nobody knew who I was…”

You use the back of your hand to wipe the tears from your cheeks.

“It’s over, isn’t it?” You say softly as you set the photograph back down on the coffee table. “I lied to you…”

It’s in that moment that Will realises you have no idea that he’s the man that arrested your father. He wonders how that can be possible but then he remembers the sabbatical you took right before your transfer to GBI, studying law enforcement techniques in other states, you had told him. He realises the truth behind that now, you were struggling to come to terms with your father’s incarceration, the nature of his crimes…

He reaches for you, his thumb chasing away the tears that leak down your cheek. He doesn’t want to do this; he doesn’t want to destroy the most precious thing in his life but he’s a realist and he knows that this is going to come out sooner or later. It feels like someone is tearing his heart right out of his chest and he almost can’t bear it.

“I love you.” He tells you, his voice rough. “But you’re not going to love me after what I’m about to tell you.”
