percy was a little jealous that estelle would have a good childhood. that she would have what he had always wanted. but he was also insanely happy for it.

percy was also relieved that his mum had a child that wasn't in danger just because they was born. relieved that his mum would still have a child, still have a loving family when he didn't come home alive one day. percy realized that he most likely wouldn't live to be old, even if he wanted to, because that's the way of the greek demigod.

Big brother Percy taking Estelle out to do things he wanted to do as a child

And then he would tell Estelle little stories about his adventures and make little necklaces and bracelets and such with her with the stuff he found. And one day when she was old enough he would take her with him and introduce her to all the sea creatures. They'd play hide and seek underwater and he'd let her win until she was old enough to realize that he was letting her win. After a few hours they would collect all the trinkets they found and go back home to end the day by making Estelle a little crown that's a little bit lopsided, but Estelle loves it so Percy wouldn't even dream of changing it. Then Percy carries Estelle around playing pretend, and no matter what happened Percy would be absolutely ecstatic that he could share such a huge part of him with his little sister, making sure that she was safe and happy.

Percy would be the best older brother.

imagine percy swimming to the bottom of the ocean. not to save a group of sea creatures. not to show off his skillset. and not to prance around as the sea god's favorite son. but to join the ocean in all that it is. laying in the soft sand and watching the fish swim by. the lobsters making space for him as he rests his head against a patch of seaweed. him laughing at the irony. imagine percy making small talk with all the different sea creatures and assigning them names. him actually running into a whale he named phillip who's on his way to propose to his boyfriend. and percy wishing him good luck and offering his blessing on their union. imagine percy making small talk with the starfish about his favorite dinosaur. and explaining to the collective group what a dinosaur is and why they don't need to worry about them reaching the bottom of the ocean. just. percy immersiving himself in all that's aquatic because it's where he can be his most self.

i know many of you think percy is the gossip guy, but in the books he usually doesn’t really care about what’s going on in other people’s lives that much. he cares about his friends obviously, but he doesn’t ever give off the vibes of being someone who would enjoy gossip and drama at all. i feel like he’s the “i didn’t ask” guy. like tell me this isn’t how it would go

annabeth: oh good you’re home! how were the guys?

percy: good. i tried to teach frank to skateboard. it… it didn’t go very well. that guy is strong as fuck but he has terrible balance!

annabeth: i could have told you that. is anything new with any of them?

percy: i don’t know. not really? although when we were watching the game, chris mentioned him and clarisse broke up. it was right before halftime when-

annabeth: WHAT?? WHY DID THEY BREAK UP??

percy: uhh, i don’t know

annabeth: okay well when did they break up?

Was gonna make a silly post abt sally having estelle right as percy’s leaving for college which ruins his plans bc he was planning on hanging around a screaming and crying newborn to cure his baby fever but since he was leaving around the time sally gave birth, he now just has to deal with iris messages when shes happy and cute pictures which just makes his baby fever worse and has to consistently remind himself that he and annabeth are too young to be parents

But then I actually looked up the timeline and girlypop was born in march and percy canonically babysits her so actually his baby fever is a bit cured but he (and annabeth) was cursed with something far worse - seeing his gf with a baby and seeing how cute and adorable they are together and how she and him work together to care for a baby. So like. He gets a glimpse of parenthood. Annabeth calls him a girl dad. They’re both so cooked.
