ACE TRAPPOLA and DEUCE SPADE got together with you to watch the World Cup. Oh? You're not interested in football? Too bad, you're watching it with them anyways. Pros: They buy snacks for all of you to eat while watching. Cons: Ace screams at the television and gets extremely frustrated. The silence was loud when the match with France ended. At least the food was good...

CATER DIAMOND was not #LiveLaughLove-ing that month. Imagine being the only american in your friend group full of british people while the US had a match against England. Don't get him wrong; he doesn't really care about football, but it's hard to ignore it when the whole school is talking about it. At the end of the day, Magicam material is still Magicam material. He got lucky though; the match ended in a draw; it could have been worse. Needless to say, he did not care about the US losing, #WorldCup #Disqualified.

TREY CLOVER felt like he was in a nightmare—a 29-day-long nightmare. The Heartslabyul students were either having a blast or screaming when they won, or they were having heated fights about whose country would win. Trey was stressed; maybe other housewardens were enjoying the World Cup (like Kalim, who was throwing parties every opportunity he had), but RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS was certainly not happy. The students were so focused on, in his words, "guys running after a ball", that they weren't studying for their final exams. Yes, he had become less strict after his overblot, but a few students still got collared. Both of them were relieved when the World Cup ended; they could not care less about their country losing.

RUGGIE BUCCHI listened to the brazilian matches while working, like it was a podcast. He was a busy guy, you know? He had to work, but he still wanted to listen to the match. To be honest, Ruggie was pretty confident that they would make it to the semi-finals. We are talking about Brazil here; their team is good. "There's no way the europeans are winning this one" he thought. Imagine his face when they lost by a penalty goal, a penalty goal... Ruggie bought himself a doughnut at Sam's to cope and not have a mental breakdown.

Peru didn't even qualify; they lost against Australia. FLOYD AND JADE LEECH were in a bad mood during the whole World Cup.

Yes, Chile didn't qualify either, but a business opportunity is a business opportunity. Did you hear? You can watch the football matches while eating in the Mostro Lounge, and if you spread the word and bring your friends, you get a special discount. AZUL ASHENGROTTO got showered in money during those 29 days it lasted; the restaurant made three times the amount they usually make. He was very happy, to say the least.

ROOK HUNT was delighted to see all the students celebrating. The passionate cheers of the students, the way they all rooted for their country, how they got together to watch, how sad they got over their team losing, how beautiful. Yes, maybe the students were screaming at each other; maybe one even threw a chair across the room, but still. There was something captivating in seeing how a game could bring students that had nothing in common together, all with the same goal: to see their country win and crush the others. He was more sad about the World Cup ending than France losing, even if they were so close to first place.

There are 2 Brazilians songs that I am 100% sure Floyd would hear, one is called “Lepo lepo” and the other “Mulher de fases” and here is “hear me out, it makes sense” moment:

Lepo Lepo: It’s about not having money but being good in bed. In my head makes sense—The beat transmits Floyd energy.

Mulher de fases: Is about a guy who have this girlfriend who constantly changes mood and how it annoys him. Plus, it’s rock and I think Floyd dig it for that.

LEPO LEPO: It was my first time listening to this song (or maybe I have heard it before, not sure) but I do agree over the fact Floyd would listen to it. It's the beat, I think Floyd would like reggaeton or other similar genres because the songs are so upbeat. The lyrics could talk about anything, they could even talk about a potato, if it sounds upbeat (and you would hear it in a party) he will probably like it. Another honorable mention that didn't make the cut on my last post is Rosalía. He would have a blast listening to the motomami album (because they are really upbeat). A really good example: Chicken Teriyaki

MULHER DE FASES: I was so focused on Floyd listening to reggaeton I forgot the probability of him listening to rock too, but I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree. This one is really good, I added it to my playlist.

Something about Floyd, it's that in difference to Jade and Azul, is that he doesn't really care about how deep the lyrics are, while Azul would probably like artists like Mon Laferte, a chilean artist (I highly recommend listening to her songs) and would probably listen to her with Jade (occasionally). The song is about an enumeration of the things that he likes in life and how each one of them brings him to his lover.

The song is about a girl that hates the fact that she's so hopelessly in love with her lover. It reminds me of Ruggie because falling in love wasn't in his plans, but he's just so whipped for you.

The song is about the sun's love for the moon and his desire to marry her, but the moon rejects him. The moon is firm on her decision, and he goes ask the wind, who can't help either. At the end, the sun has to accept his feelings aren't mutual and that one day, he will found somebody who loves him too.

The song is about brazilians enjoying themselves and celebrating. And Ruggie is brazilian (in my headcanon) so it makes sense, trust me.

The song is about a woman realizing their love couldn't be, and as her lover leaves her, she is left heartbroken, like a cat under the rain calling for their owner. It fits Azul if you imagine Yuu leaving him to go back to their world, him being left alone and heartbroken.

"He lied to me. He told me he loved me, and it wasn't true, he lied to me. He didn't love me, he never loved me, he let me adore him. He lied to me, he lied to me. It was a game, and nothing more, it was just a cruel game of his vanity. He lied to me, of all the love that I swore was there, there was never anything. I was just another one that loved him."

The song is about a woman finding out her lover didn't love her and played with her feelings. 'He lied to me, he lied to me' being the only thing she can think about. This could easily be a good angst scenario for Azul, realizing he was never truly loved and Yuu toyed with his feelings.

This song is about a woman who doesn't want her lover to see her without makeup, because they could find her unattractive. This relates to Azul because, even if he doesn't use makeup, this could be interpreted like Azul not wanting to be seen as weak, keeping an perfect image like a mask.

* . ° A quién le importa by Thalia is a song that reminds me of him and that he would listen to

"I know that they criticize me. I know they hate me. Envy corrodes them, my life overwhelms them. Why will it be? It's not my fault. My circumstances insult them. This is literally how Azul felt in that scene of book 3 where the Octavinelle student insults him. And I totally didn't add this because I felt bad for Azul for having the saddest songs here. This is also Azul's anthem, trust me.

The song is about heartbreak after a breakup, because of the relationship crumbling. Another one that could be angst material about breaking up with Jade.

* . ° Livin' la vida loca by Ricky Martin is a song that reminds me of him

The song  is about an irresistible, particularly sinister wild woman who lives on the edge and makes men fall in love with her. I am aware that this isn't a song in spanish, and that there's also a spanish version, but: (1) Jade doesn't fit the lyrics of the spanish version and I also don't like it. (2) This version is just too good, and at least "la vida loca" is in spanish. I choose this one for Jade and not Floyd because it talks about someone who's particularly good at being charming and can also be sinister.

"She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain. She'll make you live her crazy life, but she'll take away your pain. Like a bullet to your brain. Come on! Upside, inside out, she's livin' la vida loca (the crazy life)."

The song is about a woman, her unrequited love and the emotional struggle that comes with waiting for someone who may never return those feelings. I wrote back then in the latino headcanons I made that Jade likes listening to those sad songs about heartbreak and suffering so he can clean the lounge dramatically."

A song about a man asking his ex-lover if they still remember him, and if they treat her as well as he used to. Another dramatic song that Jade probably listens to.

The song is not about being a literal bullfigher that kills, but to be somebody brave, like those that have the courage to go against bulls. It's about being capable of that to be deserving of their lover's affection. This song fits Floyd because of how passionate he could be to earn Yuu's love.

"What's your name, baby? Since I saw you, I knew you were for me, tell your friends that we are ready, we follow this at the afterparty, come on! What's your name, baby? The song is literally just about adults flirting and twerking and that. Floyd listens to it because, like the majority of latino teenagers, he likes reggaeton.

The song uses the words "likes gasoline", that's well known in Puerto Rico, and it can be translated as "she likes to go out and have a good time". Once again, he just likes reggaeton, and it's literally impossible to have lived here in latin america without haven't heard this song at least once, it was EVERYWHERE.

[disclaimer] these are NOT meant to be taken as canon, it's just me having fun with characters i hc as latinos (as a latino that lives in south america)

★ RUGGIE BUCCHI (brazilian)

Enjoyed carnavais (carnavals) a lot as a child. It was the highlight of his month, happening every february. He would watch the carnaval every year with the other kids from his neighborhood. Now that he's studying at NRC and he doesn't have the chance to, he just watches through his phone when the season arrives.

Asks you to watch football matches with him. He says he doesn't care much about the result but then you'll find him frowning (if Brazil loses which doesn't happen a lot) while doing Leona's chores. Will also scream when his country scores a goal.

Wears shoes inside the house. Almost all latin american countries (if not all) wear shoes inside the house and it's considered impolite not to, so he probably does, so you'll have to tell him to take them off. Will look at you confused but will comply.

Had one Ronaldinho shirt that was gifted to him when he was younger. It no longer fits him, so he gifted it to another kid from his neighborhood that really likes football. If you enjoy watching football with him he would save money and gift you a shirt from your favorite brasilian player (because it would be very awkward if you were wearing a shirt from the opposite team). It just fills him with pride for his country.

Shares "pé de moleque" or "cocada" with you he made because he missed eating it. Will also be very proud of himself if you enjoy it, but if not, he could always cook another brasilian dessert.

★ AZUL ASHENGROTTO (chilean)

Was born in the Pacific ocean, near the part that Chile and Peru share, in the chilean part. Is used to earthquakes and is scarily calm during them, even when he is in land he just doesn't care about them.

"HOUSEWARDEN AZUL I THINK THERE'S AN EARTHQUAKE WE NEED TO GO TO SAFETY"

"Let me finish my paperwork first, it'll just take 5 minutes"

When he was a kid, the tweels used to say they didn't understand his spanish as a joke-that's-not-a-joke-but-it-is because chileans tend to use "wea" (thing) a lot on their vocabulary. He also speaks very fast in spanish, something that the tweels are used to.

Doesn't care about football, but does care when his team is against Peru because the tweels will force him to watch only to get scarily silent when Chile scores a goal.

"GOOOOL CHILENO" (GOAL FROM THE CHILEANS) and then the tweels both look at Azul in silence. And they stare. And Azul starts sweating.

Watched 31 minutos as a kid and is eager, but he will not admit it, to show it to you too. He will try his best to translate, bare with him, it's not his fault it doesn't have english subtitles. His favorite was Tulio, because the man was just trying not to go broke.

Fights with the tweels over food. The endless "is this peruvian or chilean food" debate. Expects you to take his side, take his side, please, he's your boyfriend.

His favorite food is pastel de choclo.

★ JADE LEECH (peruvian)

Was born in the Pacific ocean too, the peruvian part. His spanish borders more the "neutral" spanish, since he doesn't use much peruvian slang, but a few words do slip sometimes, when he's with Floyd.

Like other peruvians, he's very passionate about peruvian food, and he claims Peru has the best food ever. If you don't agree he will smile menacignly and stare at you.

Listens to cumbia while cleaning Mostro Lounge during closing shift. But he listens to the ones that are about heartbreak and tragic stuff so he can clean dramatically. Will show you a lot of his favorite songs and maybe, even dedicate one to you.

Probably laughs at the memes Floyd sends him about the chaotic things that happen at Peru daily. Like that time Tasha from the backyardigans and Peppa pig fought in the middle of the street.

Got into a fight with Azul over including peruvian food and chilean food in Mostro Lounge, because they couldn't agree over who's country owned the food. At the end they just agreed to not include the food and left it at that because neither side wanted to agree the other was right.

Eats causa de pulpo (causa made of octopus) a lot. Probably his favorite peruvian dish. He will also introduce you to a lot of his gastronomy, it's really good, believe him.

★ FLOYD LEECH (peruvian)

Unlike Jade, his spanish has a LOT of peruvian slang. He also speaks fast, not as fast as Azul though.

Like the average peruvian teenager, he listens to "El faraón love shady: el Dios de la versatilidad", which is a popular peruvian singer that became popular because teenagers find him funny. He sent a lot of his music videos to the whatsapp group chat the three of them have, much to Azul's dismay.

"I AM HAPPY, YA ME SUPERÉ, YA NO ANDO MISIO COMO AYER" (i am happy, i outdid myself, i'm no longer broke like yesterday)

"Floyd please lower your voice, you are scaring the customers..."

He's constantly snacking with peruvian snacks he bought to bring to NRC so he wouldn't get hungry. Floyd spend his allowance in them so he has boxes full of them in his room.
