— LATIN AMERICAN/HISPANIC SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF THEM OR THAT THEY WOULD LISTEN TO : twisted wonderland
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[synopsis] twst characters and latin american songs that remind me of them or that they would listen to
[characters] ruggie, azul, jade, floyd
[extra and disclaimer] azul has the most serious songs, and then there's floyd, who's just, there. i also want to add, floyd's songs that he listens to aren't meant to be implying i'm trying to write suggestive/+18 content of him, what i'm trying to say it's that he listens to that particular genre of music (it's pretty popular among teenagers here in south america)
Tumblr media
★ RUGGIE BUCCHI
* . ° Me gustas tu by Manu Chao is a song that reminds me of him
"I like airplanes, I like you, I like to travel, I like you, I like the morning, I like you, I like the wind, I like you, I like to dream, I like you, I like the sea, I like you."
The song is about an enumeration of the things that he likes in life and how each one of them brings him to his lover.
* . ° Goma de mascar by Paty Cantú is a song that reminds me of him
"Insufferable love, how could I fall in love? I can't stand you it's the truth, because you bother and stick like chewing gum in my shoe when walking. We are an non-ideal case. But I love you, I love you [...] You are so vulnerable, so tender, so kissable. I'll always love you..."
The song is about a girl that hates the fact that she's so hopelessly in love with her lover. It reminds me of Ruggie because falling in love wasn't in his plans, but he's just so whipped for you.
* . ° O sol e a Lua by Pequeno Cidadão is a song that he would listen to
"The sun asked the moon to marry him, and the moon said 'I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, give me some time.'"
The song is about the sun's love for the moon and his desire to marry her, but the moon rejects him. The moon is firm on her decision, and he goes ask the wind, who can't help either. At the end, the sun has to accept his feelings aren't mutual and that one day, he will found somebody who loves him too.
* . ° Mangalenha by Sergio Mendes is a song he would listen to
"Come Magalenha Rojão, bring wood for the stove, come to set the stage. Today is a sunny day. Our happiness, is enjoying summer."
The song is about brazilians enjoying themselves and celebrating. And Ruggie is brazilian (in my headcanon) so it makes sense, trust me.
★ AZUL ASHENGROTTO
* . ° La gata bajo la lluvia by Rocío Dúrcal is a song that reminds me of him
"Love, I know, don't say anything, really. If you see any tears, sorry, I know you didn't want to make an injured cat cry [...] You see, life is like that. You go and I stay here, it will rain, and I will no longer be yours, i'll be the cat under the rain. And I will meow for you."
The song is about a woman realizing their love couldn't be, and as her lover leaves her, she is left heartbroken, like a cat under the rain calling for their owner. It fits Azul if you imagine Yuu leaving him to go back to their world, him being left alone and heartbroken.
* . ° Él me mintió by Amanda Miguel is a song that reminds me of him
"He lied to me. He told me he loved me, and it wasn't true, he lied to me. He didn't love me, he never loved me, he let me adore him. He lied to me, he lied to me. It was a game, and nothing more, it was just a cruel game of his vanity. He lied to me, of all the love that I swore was there, there was never anything. I was just another one that loved him."
The song is about a woman finding out her lover didn't love her and played with her feelings. 'He lied to me, he lied to me' being the only thing she can think about. This could easily be a good angst scenario for Azul, realizing he was never truly loved and Yuu toyed with his feelings.
* . ° Maquillaje by Mecano is a song that reminds me of him
"Don't look at me, don't look at me. Don't, don't, don't look at me. Don't look at me, don't look at me, leave it like that. Today I haven't had my hair styled, and I have an image too normal for you to like me [...] You can look now, look now, you can look, I've already put on my makeup. And if you look at my image you're going to be surprised, and you'll want to kiss me."
This song is about a woman who doesn't want her lover to see her without makeup, because they could find her unattractive. This relates to Azul because, even if he doesn't use makeup, this could be interpreted like Azul not wanting to be seen as weak, keeping an perfect image like a mask.
* . ° A quién le importa by Thalia is a song that reminds me of him and that he would listen to
"I know that they criticize me. I know they hate me. Envy corrodes them, my life overwhelms them. Why will it be? It's not my fault. My circumstances insult them. My destiny is what I decide, the one that I choose for myself. Who cares about what I do? Who cares about what I say? I am like this, I will continue like this. I will never change."
This is literally how Azul felt in that scene of book 3 where the Octavinelle student insults him. And I totally didn't add this because I felt bad for Azul for having the saddest songs here. This is also Azul's anthem, trust me.
★ JADE LEECH
* . ° Frente a frente by Jeanette is a song that reminds me of him
"Only the desire to cry remains, seeing that our love goes away. Face to face, we look down. Well, there's nothing left to talk about, nothing, only the desire to cry remains, seeing that our love goes away."
The song is about heartbreak after a breakup, because of the relationship crumbling. Another one that could be angst material about breaking up with Jade.
* . ° Livin' la vida loca by Ricky Martin is a song that reminds me of him
The song  is about an irresistible, particularly sinister wild woman who lives on the edge and makes men fall in love with her. I am aware that this isn't a song in spanish, and that there's also a spanish version, but: (1) Jade doesn't fit the lyrics of the spanish version and I also don't like it. (2) This version is just too good, and at least "la vida loca" is in spanish. I choose this one for Jade and not Floyd because it talks about someone who's particularly good at being charming and can also be sinister.
"She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain. She'll make you live her crazy life, but she'll take away your pain. Like a bullet to your brain. Come on! Upside, inside out, she's livin' la vida loca (the crazy life)."
* . ° Te espero by Ede is a song that he would listen to
"Tell me, what do you want from me. I only have these hands, their strength blinds my subtle grief. While I stay to see you dance, sometimes I still wonder if I never should have stayed to be the one who waits. And I wait for you, even so I wait for you. I wait for you everywhere. I wait for you even though it hurts more."
The song is about a woman, her unrequited love and the emotional struggle that comes with waiting for someone who may never return those feelings. I wrote back then in the latino headcanons I made that Jade likes listening to those sad songs about heartbreak and suffering so he can clean the lounge dramatically."
* . ° Te vas by Grupo 5 is a song that he would listen to
"And today you leave, you leave, you leave, you leave. But I know that you have to remember me for something. Maybe with him you have compared me. I don't think I'm better, I was just different, nothing more."
A song about a man asking his ex-lover if they still remember him, and if they treat her as well as he used to. Another dramatic song that Jade probably listens to.
★ FLOYD LEECH
* . ° Torero by Chayanne is a song that reminds me of him
"Here everything is chaos. You saw straight in the eyes, what a tremendous impact. To join your gaze, tell me if there is to be: A bullfighter, oh, november to january. I know that I need you from june to february. I want you to be with me. And in March love, in december you and me. It doesn't matter, my love. If it has to be, it has to be a bullfighter."
The song is not about being a literal bullfigher that kills, but to be somebody brave, like those that have the courage to go against bulls. It's about being capable of that to be deserving of their lover's affection. This song fits Floyd because of how passionate he could be to earn Yuu's love.
* . ° Con calma by Daddy Yankee is a song that he would listen to
"What's your name, baby? Since I saw you, I knew you were for me, tell your friends that we are ready, we follow this at the afterparty, come on! What's your name, baby? Since I saw you, I knew you were for me, tell your friends that we are ready. With your hand up, follow him! (at the after party)."
The song is literally just about adults flirting and twerking and that. Floyd listens to it because, like the majority of latino teenagers, he likes reggaeton.
* . ° Gasolina by Daddy Yankee is a song he would listen to
"She likes gasoline (whatcha saying?), give me more gasoline (hey, hey, hey). She loves gasoline (whatcha saying?), give me more gasoline (hey)."
The song uses the words "likes gasoline", that's well known in Puerto Rico, and it can be translated as "she likes to go out and have a good time". Once again, he just likes reggaeton, and it's literally impossible to have lived here in latin america without haven't heard this song at least once, it was EVERYWHERE.

very interesting things happening in peru twitter. video from 2 years ago released. video is of a guys birthday party, guy is holding some joke cake with george floyds face on it and singing along to some pink floyd song but changing it to say i cant breathe. obviously a joke but also a pretty insane one. later, pics of this guy, his then gf and two of his friends (all also in video) leak. in one, the guy and the girl are both wearing a custom tshirt w pictures of hitler, mussolini, fujimori, pinochet franco and the two of them (the couple). also pretty insane. for the record, neither of these people are exactly...white. the guy, maybe, by peruvian standards; the girl is definitely andean. the other implicated friends are also typical latam mestizos. more pics leak, all equally eyebrow raising. swastikas are clearly visible. in the past couple days theyve all gotten doxxed, their families and employers contacted, pics and their info spread over twitter (tho maybe facebook and insta too, idk, i dont use them). yesterday the girl publishes a statement and so does one of the friends. they argue they were young and impressionable and they didnt mean it. then, the cake guys statement comes out. he basically says. i meant all of it. it was still a joke, but i am a "third positionist" and i admire franco and mussolini, and im a fujimorist (nasty translation). obviously no hilter mentions in this statement but umm, well, lol. people are trying to get this guy (and co) fired. im mostly kind of astonished such an american type of fascism has a bit of foothold here. why does this random peruvian cunt care about george floyd, truly, in any way. realistically, there are many solid criticisms of the blm movement but none of their problems ever affected mf peru of all places and especially not this guy. if he wants a victim of police brutality to mock its not like we dont have any. why floyd. mentioning franco and mussolini but not their best buddy and well known contemporary is cute too. this guy is studying law in one of the best unis here. this is Our Best. and he cant even figure out a way to be a racist nationalist in a way that makes sense for where he is. he would fit perfectly in little us based edgy discords, but none of this adds up to doing anything in peruvian society. how did we get here. even our nationalist fascists are unable to be truly nationalist. we have. no real culture to love or parody or hate. hell probably be fine too.

hiiii I just wanted to ask if there is like a physical description on Nima?? i may have missed it in rereads but id just like to ask straight from the creator of the blorbo. Nima silly i would like to doodle a him :3
OOoooh
Imma tag @weilaverdui because she's also been curious about Nima
(If anyone missed, Nima is one of the original characters from my Aquarium fic)
Okay, so the main thing you currently have for him is actually Floyd's nickname, lol - toadfish. Specifically banded toadfish (because that's the species found in Peru/Chile).
They look like this
Tumblr media
Of the stuff that hasn't made it into the fic... well, he's based on Kronk and he used to play center like Floyd - Nima is tall and broad as far as build goes. Not sure where he'd be from since TWST doesn't have anything based on the Emperor's New Groove, but still - the dude's obviously not white and based on an ancient Peruvian character. So.
But yeah, I imagine him having a toadfish's silly little smile and cheeks. Like really unintimidating, especially in contrast to how big and physically strong he is, unless he's frowning or concentrating on something. Kinda bushy, very expressive eyebrows
He might do something silly with his hair and dye it a funky color, but I haven't thought much about that.
Dunno if you want to do, like, a static pose, but he tends to gesture big.
I don't actually have a proper description, haha, so feel free to improvise. I have no idea how all these elements will work together, you have full reign and my delighted permission to make Nima what you want him to be.

20.10.2022
Hi Politics and Society students! Today I will be talking about the BLM movement. The Black Lives Matter (BLM) is an international and social movement dedicated to fighting racism and anti-Black violence, especially in the form of police brutality. It was cofounded in 2013 by three black community organisers; Patrisse Khan-Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi. They formed BLM after George Zimmerman, a man of German and Peruvian descent, was declared innocent on charges stemming from his fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed Black teenager, in Sanford, Florida, in February 2012. The movement grew nationally in 2014 after the police killings of Michael Brown in Missouri and Eric Garner in New York. Garner died in Staten Island, New York, after a white police officer held him in a prolonged illegal choke hold. Brown, a teenager, was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.
Since then, it has established itself as a worldwide movement, particularly after the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis, MN. In May 2020 George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, was pronounced dead after Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes, despite Floyd’s repeated protests that he could not breathe. The tragedy also brought to national attention the earlier deaths of two other African Americans: Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.
This movement conducted Mayor Jim Kenney of Philadelphia to set up a new commission, called Pathways to Reform, Transformation, and Reconciliation, to “advance public safety and racial equity.” Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City also pledged to move funding from the city's police department toward youth and social services. In a statement published on June 7, de Blasio wrote: "These will be the first of many steps my Administration will take over the next 18 months to rebuild a fairer City that profoundly addresses injustice and disparity." "While we have taken many steps to reform policing in this city, there is clearly more work to do to strengthen trust between officers and the New Yorkers they serve," he added. Lawmakers also signed a bill that will repeal the 50-A legislation — a decades-old measure that protected police officers from being held accountable and allowed records of officers to remain secret. This proves that an online movement can change politics.
In the next post I will talk about the #MeToo movement, so stay tuned!! What do you think of the BLM movement? Comment below :)

the 19th century, Peruvian fisherman named that annual current "El Niño" in honor of the Christ child (el niño means "the child" in Spanish).
El Niño was gendered male because of a connection between the perceived gift of rainfall and marine life around Christmas and the male Christ Child.
The fiesta of the Santo Niño has since been called the "Labayaw Festival". The name of the festival is a portmanteau of the Tagalog-Filipino words Lakbay (meaning "to journey") and Sayaw (meaning "to dance"). It essentially means "a joyful journey with the Lord".
ok mark. this is dripping with ppgnda vibes

There are 2 Brazilians songs that I am 100% sure Floyd would hear, one is called “Lepo lepo” and the other “Mulher de fases” and here is “hear me out, it makes sense” moment:
Lepo Lepo: It’s about not having money but being good in bed. In my head makes sense—The beat transmits Floyd energy.
Mulher de fases: Is about a guy who have this girlfriend who constantly changes mood and how it annoys him. Plus, it’s rock and I think Floyd dig it for that.
(◕‿◕) That’s all from a Brazilian anon today, but if you want I can totally present more Brazilian song I think the Octavinelle trio and Ruggie would hear to.
— LATIN AMERICAN SONGS THAT FLOYD WOULD LISTEN TO : twisted wonderland
Tumblr media
It's ok anon, I will hear you out.
LEPO LEPO: It was my first time listening to this song (or maybe I have heard it before, not sure) but I do agree over the fact Floyd would listen to it. It's the beat, I think Floyd would like reggaeton or other similar genres because the songs are so upbeat. The lyrics could talk about anything, they could even talk about a potato, if it sounds upbeat (and you would hear it in a party) he will probably like it. Another honorable mention that didn't make the cut on my last post is Rosalía. He would have a blast listening to the motomami album (because they are really upbeat). A really good example: Chicken Teriyaki
MULHER DE FASES: I was so focused on Floyd listening to reggaeton I forgot the probability of him listening to rock too, but I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree. This one is really good, I added it to my playlist.
Something about Floyd, it's that in difference to Jade and Azul, is that he doesn't really care about how deep the lyrics are, while Azul would probably like artists like Mon Laferte, a chilean artist (I highly recommend listening to her songs) and would probably listen to her with Jade (occasionally). One of her songs: Tormento
Thank you so much anon for your song recommendations, I had another user send me recommendations (that I will also listen, just give me a sec) and I would definitely want to hear your opinions about what they would listen to. I can only give (in majority) songs in Spanish due to my lack of Portuguese knowledge.

Juneteenth takes on new meaning amid push for racial justice (AP) Protesters marched over the Brooklyn Bridge, chanted “We want justice now!” near St. Louis’ Gateway Arch, stopped work at West Coast ports and paused for a moment of silence at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington, as Americans marked Juneteenth with new urgency Friday amid a nationwide push for racial justice. The holiday, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, is usually celebrated with parades and festivals but became a day of protest this year in the wake of demonstrations set off by George Floyd’s killing at the hands of Minneapolis police. In addition to traditional cookouts and readings of the Emancipation Proclamation—the Civil War-era order that declared all enslaved people free in Confederate territory—Americans of all backgrounds were marching, holding sit-ins or taking part in car caravan protests. Thousands gathered at a religious rally in Atlanta. Hundreds marched from St. Louis’ Old Courthouse, where the Dred Scott case partially played out, a pivotal one that denied citizenship to African Americans but galvanized the anti-slavery movement. Protesters and revelers held signs in Dallas, danced to a marching band in Chicago and registered people to vote in Detroit.
Law enforcement families face harassment, vandalism, and threats at home (Washington Examiner) Law enforcement officers say they and their families face harassment and bullying by strangers and neighbors as a result of a nationwide crackdown on law enforcement following protests around the death of George Floyd. One former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, faces a charge of second-degree murder over the 46-year-old black man’s death. The episode triggered nationwide protests over police practices and some violence and looting. At the same time, police officers around the nation, facing scrutiny by local, state, and federal officials, say morale is down in local departments. Budgets have been cut, and overtime pay for shifts during protests has been slashed. And the homes of police officers have been vandalized while anti-law enforcement activists have watched them from outside. Paul Chabot, a retired deputy sheriff reserve out of San Bernardino County, California, who runs a website that helps officers relocate to police friendly municipalities, told the Washington Examiner that officers and their wives who reach out to him reveal their children are targeted as well. “It’s not the same like it was even just two weeks ago, three weeks ago, just because they’re a law enforcement family now. Their kids are being targeted by people in the neighborhood.”
The battle over masks in a pandemic: An all-American story (Washington Post) In this sprawling, heterogeneous country, the pandemic has become yet another thing on which Americans are divided. Mask-wearing for some people is an identifier of broader beliefs and political leanings. Like so many issues rooted in science and medicine, the pandemic is now fully entangled with ideological tribalism. This has played out before: helmets for motorcyclists, seat belts in cars, smoking bans in restaurants. All of those measures provoked battles over personal liberty. Now it’s masks and the coronavirus, with face coverings emerging as an emblem for what cleaves the nation. A flurry of recent studies supports wearing cloth face coverings as a means to limit transmission of the novel coronavirus, which causes the illness covid-19. To many people, masks represent adherence to civic duty and a willingness to make individual sacrifices for the greater good of public health. To others, masks symbolize government overreach and a violation of personal liberty.
U.S. Watched George Floyd Protests in 15 Cities Using Aerial Surveillance (NYT) The Department of Homeland Security deployed helicopters, airplanes and drones over 15 cities where demonstrators gathered to protest the death of George Floyd, logging at least 270 hours of surveillance, far more than previously revealed, according to Customs and Border Protection data. The department’s dispatching of unmanned aircraft over protests in Minneapolis last month sparked a congressional inquiry and widespread accusations that the federal agency had infringed on the privacy rights of demonstrators. But that was just one piece of a nationwide operation that deployed resources usually used to patrol the U.S. border for smugglers and illegal crossings. Aircraft filmed demonstrations in Dayton, Ohio; New York City; Buffalo and Philadelphia, among other cities, sending video footage in real time to control centers managed by Air and Marine Operations, a branch of Customs and Border Protection. The footage was then fed into a digital network managed by the Homeland Security Department, called “Big Pipe,” which can be accessed by other federal agencies and local police departments for use in future investigations, according to senior officials with Air and Marine Operations.
Barber offers hope in Peruvian barrios devastated by virus (AP) Once a week, barber Josué Yacahuanca makes his way up the dusty hills of Peru’s capital, heading into its poorest neighborhoods carrying a treasured golden briefcase that holds his life’s passion—five clipper blades, 20 combs, four scissors and a bottle with alcohol. Yacahuanca seeks out clients devastated by a coronavirus lockdown that has gone on for nearly 100 days in an attempt to stem the wave of new infections. He does it for free. “I want them to look in the mirror and see a bit of hope,” said Yacahuanca, who though just 21 years old is a veteran barber, having started cutting hair at age 13. Yacahuanca had a rocky start in life himself. Abandoned by his mother, he was raised by his godmother, Gloria Alvarez. Despite obstacles, he discovered a business savvy at a young age. He hustled at odd jobs, selling sweets, cleaning houses, working in outdoor markets and at a bus station.
Brazil tops 1 million cases as coronavirus spreads inland (AP) Brazil’s government confirmed on Friday that the country has risen above 1 million confirmed coronavirus cases, second only to the United States. Official data show a downward trend of the virus in Brazil’s north, including the hard-hit region of the Amazon, a plateau in cases and deaths in the countries’ biggest cities near the Atlantic coast, but a rising curve in the south. In the Brazilian countryside, which is much less prepared to handle a crisis, the pandemic is clearly growing. Many smaller cities have weaker health care systems and basic sanitation that’s insufficient to prevent contagion.
European powers refuse to back U.S. call for escalating Iran sanctions (Washington Post) France, Germany and Britain said they will not support reimposing sanctions on Iran if a U.N. arms embargo is not extended, but they urged Tehran to allow inspectors into sites where nuclear material may be stockpiled.
China unveils details of national security law for Hong Kong amid backlash (Reuters) Beijing unveiled details of its new national security law for Hong Kong on Saturday, paving the way for the most profound change to the city’s way of life since it returned to Chinese rule in 1997. The much-anticipated legislation, which has provoked deep concerns in Washington and Europe, includes a national security office for Hong Kong to collect intelligence and handle crimes against national security, the official Xinhua news agency reported. It said Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam could also appoint specific judges to hear national security cases, a move likely to unnerve some investors, diplomats and business leaders in the global financial hub. China says the draft law is aimed at tackling separatist activity, subversion, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces, but critics fear it will crush wide-ranging freedoms that are seen as key to Hong Kong’s status as a global financial centre.
Egyptian president says Libyan city Sirte a ‘red line’ (AP) Egypt’s president Saturday warned that an attempt by Turkey-backed forces in Libya to attack the strategic city of Sirte would cross a “red line” and trigger a direct Egyptian military intervention into the conflict. Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, in televised comments, said Egypt could intervene in neighboring Libya with the intention of protecting its western border with the oil-rich country, and to bring stability, including establishing conditions for a cease-fire, to Libya. El-Sissi warned that any attack on Sirte or the inland Jufra air base by forces loyal to the U.N.-supported but weak government in Tripoli would amount to crossing a “red line.” “Let’s stop at this (current) front line and start negotiations to reach a political solution to the Libyan crisis,” he said.
Ethiopia to fill disputed dam, deal or no deal (AP) It’s a clash over water usage that Egypt calls an existential threat and Ethiopia calls a lifeline for millions out of poverty. Just weeks remain before the filling of Africa’s most powerful hydroelectric dam might begin, and tense talks between the countries on its operation have yet to reach a deal. In an interview with The Associated Press, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew on Friday declared that his country will go ahead and start filling the $4.6 billion Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam next month, even without an agreement. “For us it is not mandatory to reach an agreement before starting filling the dam, hence we will commence the filling process in the coming rainy season,” he said. “We are working hard to reach a deal, but still we will go ahead with our schedule whatever the outcome is. If we have to wait for others’ blessing, then the dam may remain idle for years, which we won’t allow to happen,” he said. He added that “we want to make it clear that Ethiopia will not beg Egypt and Sudan to use its own water resource for its development,” pointing out that Ethiopia is paying for the dam’s construction itself. He spoke after the latest round of talks with Egypt and Sudan on the dam, the first since discussions broke down in February, failed to reach agreement.
Congo president’s chief of staff guilty in corruption trial (AP) A court in Congo on Saturday sentenced the president’s chief of staff, Vital Kamerhe, to 20 years of forced labor after he was found guilty of corruption and embezzlement of more than $50 million. His lawyers said they would appeal. Kamerhe, 61, has called the trial a political attack on himself and President Felix Tshisekedi, who has not commented on the case. The charges stem from what the court said was “unequivocal” participation in the embezzlement of money from projects undertaken by the president during his first 100 days in office last year.

Narrative Post #1
During this first week, I underwent listening to multiple artists and studying their techniques. Since my ability to identify notes by ear helps a lot when listening, I can translate what I hear to what I play. Going into to detail of what I've studied, I took a step back in my tastes. A while ago (by that I mean a couple of months) I listed to a lot of psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s. Consisting of Jimi Hendrix, early Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Cream, etc. I mainly looked at the work of Hendrix, being one of the most unique and looked at styles in all of guitar history. Mainly his use of the guitar, many said he used as more than just an instrument. His heavy use of feedback and modulation left a heavy impact on his listeners. Even birthing some of the earliest metal techniques. Another great 70's band I'd like to mention would be Pink Floyd, I will mainly be focusing on their second and most well-known guitarist, David Gilmour. Gilmour's style diverges from the blues scene that was very prominent at the time. His style is very soothing at times yet also very aggressive. As is his voice. Examples of an aggressive yet soft playing style would be in the song "Echoes" from their 1971 release "Meddle". I just mentioned blue and forgot to bring up one of the many kings of blues, B.B. King. His work starting as early as 1951 has influenced many throughout the years. Personally, I'm a big fan of his late 60's and early 70's work. "Chains and Things" is just an utter masterpiece. Since I am Latin-American, I'm exposed to a lot of Latino music. Most of which I've grown very fond of. I've been exposed to a lot of Peruvian sounds since both of my parents were born and raised in Peru. I've tried learning some classic Latin-type techniques on guitar, taking on from Spanish Flamenco style playing. Andean playing styles have also been a big inspiration since, of course, its deep connection with my Peruvian roots. Returning to the rock of things, I love I some 70's funk. And when you mention 70's funk, you are bound the hear the words "Funkadelic's" and "Parliament" pop up. Two of the most popular funk god-like bands to roam this earth. They've gone through a handful of guitarists in their time, one of the most notable was Eddie Hazel. One of Hazel's most outstanding works was on Funkadelic's 3rd studio album, "Maggot Brain" (bottom right in the image above). Where the title track of said album has an eight-minute guitar solo, which served as a showcase of Hazel's amazing talent at the time. Another great, 6+ member band of the 70's where Bob Marley and The Wailers. Not only were their songs outstanding,, but the solos that appear mainly on the live album "Babylon By Bus". With The Wailers switching artists constantly except for about 6 or 7 or so, this recording had two lead guitarists, Al Anderson and Junior Marvin. Both of which deliver marvelous solos on the performances of "Rebel Music (3 O'clock Roadblock)" and "Concrete Jungle". Skipping forward a few generations, we reach the early 2000's. Introducing one of my personal favorite modern prog-rock bands, The Mars Volta. Guitarists Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is just an absolute master of his craft (I'm actually listening to them as of writing this :). Rodriguez-Lopez's use of effects has given him a reputation similar to that of Soda Stereo's Gustavo Cerati. A great example on his use of effect would be on the song "Cassandra Gemini: Faminepulse" off their 2005 release "Frances the Mute". Specifically at the 2:56 mark of the track is where he gives a great example of noise manipulation using a simple analog delay. Aight, that's enough studying for now. Join me in the second narrative post to see me include this into my practice routine! Goodbye for now!

At his preliminary over a year later, Zimmerman asserted that he had acted in self-preservation. His absolution in July 2013 was generally seen as an unnatural birth cycle of equity and prompted further cross country fights.
The BLM development extended in 2014 after the police killings of two unarmed Black men, Eric Garner and Michael Brown. Collect passed on in Staten Island, New York, after a white cop held him in a delayed illicit strangle hold, which was caught in a video taken by a spectator. Earthy colored, a youngster, was shot and executed by a white cop in Ferguson, Missouri. Huge fights of these passings for the sake of Black Lives Matter caught public and global consideration. The BLM development from that point kept on assuming an unmistakable part in shows against police severity and prejudice. Outstandingly, BLM activists fought the passings on account of police or while in police authority of a few other Black individuals, including Sandra Bland, Philando Castile, Freddie Gray, Laquan McDonald, Tamir Rice, Walter Scott, Alton Sterling, and Breonna Taylor.
In 2020 George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, was articulated dead after a white Minneapolis cop bowed on Floyd's neck for a few minutes, regardless of Floyd's rehashed fights that he was unable to relax. Wide dissemination of an observer's video of Floyd's last minutes set off gigantic showings in urban communities all through the United States and across the globe. The misfortune influenced U.S. general assessment for the Black Lives Matter development while causing wide to notice the issue of dug in prejudice in American culture.
The Black Lives Matter development has numerous objectives. BLM activists look to cause to notice the numerous manners by which Black individuals are dealt with ridiculously in the public arena and the manners by which foundations, laws, and approaches help to sustain that injustice. The development has battled bigotry through such methods as political activity, letter composing efforts, and peaceful fights. BLM looks to battle police mercilessness, the over-policing of minority areas, and the maltreatments submitted by revenue driven prisons. Its endeavors have included calls for better preparing for police and more noteworthy responsibility for police offense. BLM activists have likewise called for "undermining" the police—that is, lessening police division financial plans and putting the opened up assets in local area social administrations, for example, emotional well-being and compromise programs. BLM activists have additionally dealt with citizen enlistment and get-out-the-vote crusades in Black people group. Also, BLM programs have observed Black craftsmen and journalists.
Conclusion:
Taking everything into account the "People of color matter development" is a solid reason that will keep on getting more grounded and gain energy. For the entirety of the resistance this development has met the collusion and arrangement it has acquired is times over. This policy centered issue won't be quieted or minimized it is fit as a fiddle. African Americans alongside numerous whites and individuals of various social foundations are starting to proceed with crafted by incredible extremist like Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcom X, and Rosa Parks et cetera. They represent the lives lost like Travon Marin, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Mike Brown thus a lot more people of color that have been lost simply over the most recent four years because of police fierceness and racial profiactiling of many white Americans.
