People against piracy fail to realize that no, I canât just âbuy it.â They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. Theyâre barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.
For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. Itâs scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: itâs exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.
The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available âcopiesâ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we arenât allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I canât pay to own it, I wonât pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
So yes, Iâm going to pirate and support piracy.
Edit: if you are able, use $5 you would otherwise use for a streaming subscription to donate to a GazaFunds campaign.
#edit: go to https://gazafunds.org/ and donate $5 you would otherwise spend on streaming services on a campaign!#ra speaks#piracy#media piracy#pirate to make hondo ohnaka proud#obligatory âdonât fucking pirate small authors/artists works wtf dudeâ statement.#anyone whoâs seen my media bitching before knows Iâm a hype man for indie films this ainât about them#this is about corporate streaming services killing physical media bc sales numbers are less impressive than number of streams#edit: USAmericans stop telling me to buy DVDs and blurays at Walmart. think outside your borders for a hot sec. fun thought exercise.#your experiences are not universal#edit: WHO GOT THIS TO 100k. Virtual Physics Experiments: Learn Everything About Digital Experiments

Physics is a fascinating subject that deals with natureâs basic laws. One of the best ways to learn physics is by doing experiments. Traditionally, students performed these experiments in a physical laboratory setting. This is where virtual physics experiments come in. Virtual physics experiments are computer simulations of real-world physics experiments.
In this blog, we will explore the world of virtual physics experiments. We will also delve into the benefits of using advanced digital physics simulations in the learning process.
Challenges and problems faced by students in physics laboratory

Before delving into virtual experiments, it is essential to understand the challenges that students often face in physical physics laboratories:
Limited Equipment Availability:Â Many schools and colleges have limited resources, resulting in inadequate equipment for conducting experiments. This scarcity often forces students to share equipment, limiting their hands-on experience.
Time Constraints:Â Physical labs often have strict time constraints. Students may have only a limited time to complete experiments, which can lead to rushed or incomplete observations.
Safety Concerns: Physics experiments can involve dangerous elements, such as high voltages or chemicals. Ensuring the safety of students in a physical lab is a constant concern for instructors.
Inadequate Supervision:Â In a crowded lab with limited instructors, it is challenging for each student to receive personalized guidance and supervision. This can hinder their understanding and ability to perform experiments correctly.
Equipment Malfunction:Â Mechanical and electrical equipment can malfunction, disrupting experiments and causing frustration for students.
Resource Constraints:Â Many schools struggle to maintain and upgrade their lab equipment due to budget constraints, leading to outdated or non-functional apparatus.
Benefits of advanced digital physics simulations

Now, letâs explore how advanced digital physics simulations address these challenges while offering numerous benefits:
Accessibility:Â Virtual experiments eliminate the constraints of physical laboratories, making them accessible to students regardless of their geographical location. This is especially beneficial for students in remote areas or those with limited access to laboratory facilities.
Safety:Â Dangerous experiments involving high voltages or hazardous materials can be simulated safely in a digital environment, reducing the risk to students and instructors.
Unlimited Resources: Virtual simulations provide an almost limitless array of resources and equipment, allowing students to perform experiments with various parameters and conditions, enhancing their understanding of underlying concepts.
Instant Feedback:Â In virtual experiments, students receive immediate feedback, enabling them to rectify mistakes and gain a deeper understanding of the experimental process.
Cost-Efficiency:Â Setting up and maintaining a physical laboratory can be expensive. Virtual experiments reduce costs associated with equipment, maintenance, and consumables.
Time Efficiency:Â Digital simulations save valuable class time that would otherwise be spent setting up and conducting experiments, allowing educators to cover more content.
Enhanced Visualization:Â Virtual experiments often come with advanced graphics and animations, making it easier for students to visualize complex physical phenomena.
Customization:Â Students can repeat experiments multiple times with different parameters, reinforcing their learning and experimentation skills.
How are these virtual physics experiments developed?
Ever wondered how these experiments are created? Creating digital and virtual physics experiments involves the application of various scientific principles and technologies to simulate physical phenomena and interactions in a computerized environment. Letâs know the science and development process behind digital and virtual physics experiments.
Understanding the Physics:Â Developers must have a deep understanding of the physics principles they want to simulate.
Mathematical Modelling:Â Physics simulations often begin with mathematical models that describe the behaviour of physical systems. These models use equations, such as Newtonâs laws of motion or Maxwellâs equations for electromagnetism, to represent the underlying physics.
Programming Languages:Â Virtual physics experiments are implemented through computer programming using languages like C++, Python, or Java. These languages are chosen based on factors such as efficiency, platform compatibility, and ease of development.
Simulation Engines:Â Developers often use specialized simulation engines or libraries that provide tools and functions for modelling and solving physics problems efficiently. Examples include Unity for game-based simulations and libraries like OpenFOAM for fluid dynamics simulations.
Visualization
Rendering and Graphics:Â The visual representation of the virtual experiment is crucial. Developers use computer graphics techniques to render 2D or 3D simulations, including the use of shaders, textures, and lighting to create realistic visuals.
User Interface (UI):Â A user-friendly interface is designed to allow users to interact with and control the simulation. This includes features like menus, buttons, sliders, and data visualization tools.
User Input:Â Users interact with virtual physics experiments through input devices like a keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen. These inputs are translated into actions within the simulation, such as applying forces, changing parameters, or adjusting settings.
Real-Time Computation:Â Physics simulations must run in real-time, providing instantaneous feedback to users as they interact with the virtual experiment. Achieving real-time performance often requires optimizing code and using parallel computing techniques.
Accessibility and Educational Goals:Â Digital and virtual physics experiments are often developed with specific educational goals in mind. Developers must consider the target audience and design experiments that align with educational objectives
Integration with Hardware:Â In some cases, virtual physics experiments can be integrated with hardware devices like sensors, haptic feedback devices, or virtual reality (VR) headsets to enhance the user experience and provide more realistic interactions.
Experiments in the physics curriculum
Different state boards mandate a set of physics experiments for students. These experiments cover a wide range of topics, including mechanics, electricity, optics, and modern physics. There are many different virtual physics experiments available online. With virtual physics experiments, students can now access a vast repository of experiments that closely mimic real-world scenarios. Some of the most well-known are:
Simple Pendulum Experiment:Â This experiment allows students to study the period and frequency of a simple pendulum.
Ohmâs Law Experiment:Â By virtually connecting resistors, ammeters, and voltmeters, students can explore Ohmâs law and understand the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance.
Focal Length of Concave and Convex Mirror:Â Digital simulations allow students to adjust the objectâs position and observe the corresponding image formed by the mirror, helping them understand the concepts of focal length and mirror behaviour.
Characteristics of a PN Junction Diode:Â Virtual experiments allow students to alter diode properties by adjusting the voltage and monitoring how it affects the flow of current, which aids in the understanding of semiconductor physics.
These are just a few examples of the many virtual physics experiments that are available. One of the most effective virtual science labs available in the market is SimuLab.

Gen obsessed with how.. *dead* your Jason's color pallete is. Like, that's corpse pale right there. Not a spec of blood left flowing in there (also father Todd's skin being full of color in comparison is a nice touch)

THANK YOU I love making him look a bit ghoulish. Guy who's not supposed to be alive but yes he is. no he isn't <3
#DC#DC Comics#Jason Todd#Red Hood#Jaybin#Robin ii#Art by me#Asks#I know vitamin D doesn't affect your skin colour BUT the easiest way to get it is sunlight which does ik nobody is bothered by this but me#But I have OCD. so you're getting clarification anyways đ#Jason's way of saying if you spend too much time underground it's going to start wanting to keep you there đ#I do think he bleeds normally and has a heartbeat and all that because he's not Dead. Alive? Well no also. He's likeboth at once and neithe#I think his physical state should be full of inconsistencies. you can't see his breath in cold weather but you can if he smokes etc.#There's also appeal to him coming back looking completely normal I do love mundane horror but#His death was important both in and out of universe and it altered things irreversibly so I think he can be a little Off as a treat#Also it adds to the misery that he's the same person like he died and came back the same person internally he's himself but#to others he looks and acts and is offputting he's Jason but Wrongg. Except not really#Because yeah he changed but that's just getting older and being affected by your experiences like everyone else ever#unfortunately for him he popped back to life Like That so everyone is just going eughh what thebfcuk#But that's a little off topic ANYWAYS one thing I really liked about Countdown was Jason being described as a siren in the dark#Like yea he's unsettling even if there's no clear reason as to why yet. He wasn't even doing anything his vibes are just rancid#My ideal Jason is one who looks like he wouldn't be out of place eating someone. He wouldn't. but you know. looming threat#I think he'd have fun indulging in the undead aspect in his more dramatic moments#Also the environment matters like during the day at the store he just seems a bit strange but at night in an alleyway it's uncanny valley#I have more to say on this topic but I'm writing a novel in the tags so I'll wrap it up#To summarize it's basically YOU CAN'T GO BACK YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK TO THE WAY THINGS WERE AND EVERYONE WHO LOOKS AT YOU CAN SEE IT#Thank you again for this ask I love when people bring up details they like to me because I like putting them in and talking about them#And just talking in general clearly lmao post-crisis really had so much going for it. lots of interesting characters

The Charcuterie Board, as designed by your votes! Thank you to everyone who participated; this was a fun challenge!
#charcuterie saga#The original version of this was a watercolour but unfortunately I left it behind while travelling...#Along with some of my comic pages and my scripting notes (that's why I have yet to post more pd-mdzs...I funked it up big time)#This board was made on Dec 30th and I am very thankful to the people who helped donate various components to make it possible.#I took a few variations on the composition and while this one has some flaws - I think it has the most personality!#True Charcuterie fans will look at my choices and weep but I never promised good charcuterie!!! I promised accuracy to the poll!#Some elements stand in as 'double counting' in categories. Which was a survival technique for me.#I had to learn a lot of new things to make this possible! My skills like in making the physical wooden board - not the arrangement of food!#Rosemary was hotly debated as I personally do think it counts as edible (so not a valid pick for 'decoration').#I also thought tomato sauce could count as a fruit and spread.#My cursed hand has fingerprints in other parts of this tragedy. Beware looking too closely.#Of course there is a version of reality in which I have the disposable income to buy 20+ different kinds of cheese and-#-make this baby absolutely massive. Not the reality I live in though.#What a wild experience this saga has been. So many opinions about cheese (and other foods).#EDIT: I mislabelled the Salami! There is salami on the board!!!

no thoughts head empty de-aged blood blossom danny
if ONLY because i was at work yesterday out in the play yard and one of the babies from the one year old room walked up to me, held up her arms and went "up. up" and i caved like a wet fucken nOODLE and im inflicting that onto Bruce
so im just picturing like, roughly 18mo Danny, just absolutely teeny, walking up to Bruce in the Batman suit, grabbing his cape and pulling on it to get his attention or plastering himself to the side of his legs (<- real experience i've had) and when Bruce looks down at him Danny just goes "Bah-man, bah-man. Up."
and im teLLING YOU. Bruce would cave in a fucking heartbeat.
or if he crouches down, Danny will just crawl onto him anyways. wraps both arms around his neck and tries to raise his leg over his knee so he can wrap himself around his waist (<- ALSO A REAL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD)
also he can't fully articulate himself yet, he doesn't have all of his teeth quite yet and phonetics are harD, so he can't say Bruce it just sounds like "boo" or "booce" like 'boost' but without the 't'.
#danny fenton is not the ghost king#dpxdc crossover#dpxdc#blood blossom au#dpxdc au#making aus of my aus? its more likely than you think#anywyas mini crack au i had an idea for and felt like sharing aklsjhf#look it took me SO long to learn how to not cave to smol children asking me politely for uppies but oh my god is it a struggle#like maybe its just coz i love being around kids but it KILLS me. i cant say no. Bruce is experiencing my troubles coz fuck him (lovingly)#also danny does the thing where upon being picked up he immediately lays his head on bruce's shoulder and tucks his face into the crook of#his neck <- also a real experience i've had and i swear to god its a spiritual experience. like ooh my god this small teeny human trusts me#enough to just completely relax in my hold. im going to Die For You Now. the endorphin rush is something ELSE. like HI. HELLO SMALL HUMAN#bruce: do you wanna get down? | bby danny tightening his grip: noo#also when a child doesnt wanna get put down they WILL CLIING to you and try to climb back up you afterwards#i dont have an approximate timeline or reason as to why danny got de-aged this is purely in my nebulous sandbox of ideas i had.#is he poisoned too in this form?? maybe. if he is he's like 10x clingier because he's in a lot of pain and exhausted and its a lot for#his child-sized mind. poor bby. if he's not poisoned. he's still clingy he's just not AS clingy. even if he has all his memories i imagine#that physically and developmentally he has the mind of a 18mo so its a lot of input for his mind to handle.#anyways: *kills bruce with cuteness aggression* danny has the CHUBBIEST cheeks as a wee babe. the biggest bluest eyes too

Ableist things non wheelchair using disabled people/ occasional wheelchair users have said to or about me as a full time powerchair user:
Not being able to walk makes you privileged over other disabled people
Iâd kill myself if I couldnât wipe my own arse
Yeah but youâre not like regular disabled so you shouldnât expect to be accommodated
Youâre so lucky to have carers with you all the time
At least Iâm not like him
Why donât you use a folding powerchair instead? Then you wouldnât look so⌠disabled (answer: because I canât sit up or breathe properly in chairs that arenât supportive enough).
Of course they talk to you like youâre five years old⌠you look well⌠yâknow
You shouldnât be taking over people work chronic pain just because you canât walk (said to me while I was talking about my own chronic pain)
*talks to my carer about me*
*refuses to acknowledge my presence in a group*
I just want you to know that Iâd support assisted suicide for people like you.
Again, because itâs important, absolutely all of these are from disabled people.
#I tend to steer clear of certain types of disability spaces now because of so many experiences like this#disability#physical disability#cripplepunk#wheelchair user#powerchair user

Saw a post about working class butches in physical labour jobs and wanted to make my own, so: I love you butches who do childcare or early education. I love you butch nurses. I love you butch house cleaners and janitorial staff. I love you service industry butches. I love you butches who do sex work. I love you working class butches who do âfeminineâ jobs you are cool as hell
#butch#lgbtqia#lesbian#its me im butches doing stereotypically feminine work#when I was nannying full time I kind of thought of it as I was doing Nanny Gender#like especially bc I wore mostly dresses then for practicality reasons#which gave me The Dysphorias but yeah. my way of navigating that was to get a little fluid with it.#also even tho they donât get perceived as such: all of these jobs are as physically demanding as many âphysicalâ jobs#like girly at least when I worked in a warehouse/delivery bay I got to sit down#look I could probably think of a better term than âphysical labourâ but like. you know what I mean.#anyway. sometimes you have those I am uncomfortable when we are not about me moments#and then you remember that you can just go talk about your experience

Geniuenly like. So many people claim support disability. But then say something completely untrue
Yâall support autism? So what about when the person has intellectual disability or need help walk talk eat bath use bathroom? Does your support end when you see someone with higher needs?? Someone who actually genuinely wonât survive without support from others n that support is sometimes having other people do everything for them.
Yâall support depression? What about when the person canât bring themself to get out of bed for days on end? What about when that person goes days weeks months without cleaning self because canât get up even though need to?
Yall support schizo-spec disorders & psychosis? What about what the person get violent because of their delusions n hallucinations? The ones know are fake but still canât help but believe in? The ones genuinely believe in their delusions/ hallucinations? What about the ones donât donât get violent to self n other because of the disorder? Those that just sit scared about the hallucinations n delusions. The ones that wonât leave their room/ house out of fear of their delusions/ hallucinations?
Yâall support those with physical disabilities? What about the housebound bedbound ones? The ones need gait trainers walkers wheelchairs? What about the ones who full time users? Or the ones that need power chairs to independently move around? What about the ones crying screaming throwing up from their pain?
What about the disabled that always have a horrible attitude because tired of the disrespect? Tired of having to explain everything about them to everyone even if personal? Tired being told get over it n just educate others?
The disabled ones tired telling people not use certain terms. Tired of being spoken over n for without being thought about or asked. Tired of hearing their communication isnât valid for âxyzâ
Yâall support but act very picky about who deserves support and whoâs not worthy of it. Itâs not support if you pickin n choosing
#speech4amy#actually autistic#disabled poc#disability#autism#medium support needs#physical disability#mental disability#add on if want. know left out a lot but something#just couldnât talk about because donât actually experience but added as much as could#aac user#long post

hello kinblr. i think. perhaps! we should be kinder to physical shifters!
some of y'all talk about physical shifters the way kintok talks about physical therians and it's kind of disgusting.
some of you will say "not all physical therians are delusional! and even if they are, they're just as valid as anycreature who isn't" in the same breath as "physical shifters are delusional. you cannot physically become an animal :/ you have clinical lycanthropy PLEASE seek help and stop getting ur delusion everywhere i just had the floors waxed"
you swear you can experience therianthropy on all levels including physical, but call physical shifters crazy for experiencing physical shifting. you cannot say you love physical therians and then exclude therians who physically shift! you are just as bad as anyone who denies or invalidates physical therians because "you can't have wolf dna"
these communities were created by and for the therians you want to throw under the bus. they created these spaces for us, and you need to act like it
#physical nonhuman#caninekin#otherkin#therian#kin#nonhuman#alterhuman#physically nonhuman#physical shifter#kinblr#do i understand pshifting? not exactly#but i have been doing research because i refuse to remain ignorant!#even if i don't understand or experience it i will intentionally hold space for those who do to safely discuss their experiences#i am constantly learning! the only way we as a community can grow is if we collectively shut up long enough for people to explain and#educate us#edit: removed pshifter and replaced with physical shifter

In May 1921, American polymath Walter Russell entered a 39-day coma-like state, during which he claimed to have accessed âthe source of all knowledge.â Upon awakening, he frantically wrote down what he had seen â pages filled with philosophical, scientific, and spiritual revelations that would later form the foundation of his manuscript *The Universal One*. Though he sent his findings to 500 leading minds of the time, nearly all dismissed him as mad â except one. Nikola Tesla, the visionary inventor, was so struck by Russellâs insights that he urged him to seal the work away for a thousand years, insisting that humanity was not yet ready for its truths.
Walter Russellâs revelations reimagined the very structure of reality. He argued that matter was not solid but crystallized light slowed by thought â that everything around us, from rocks to human bodies, was composed of light patterns, shaped by consciousness. He believed the universe was fundamentally mental, not material, and that all things moved in rhythmic cycles â expansion and contraction, like breath. He dismissed opposites like good and evil as illusions, asserting instead that everything sought harmony and balance. To Russell, death wasnât an end but the release of compressed light returning to its source. Even time, he claimed, wasnât linear, but a spiral where past, present, and future coexisted.
These ideas were radically ahead of their time, blending metaphysics, wave dynamics, and a deep sense of universal unity. He believed electricity was a living spiral of energy, not merely electrons in motion, and that the vacuum of space was in fact a vibrant sea of untapped potential. Health, in his view, was the natural rhythm of the body, and disease was simply a disruption of that flow. Though ignored or ridiculed during his lifetime, Russellâs work now draws new attention in an era where quantum physics and consciousness studies begin to echo the same questions. To many, he is no longer a forgotten eccentric, but a prophet of a paradigm yet to come.
