Daddy Knows Best
Sweet pt. 3
Daddy knows best
Sparrow seems to appreciate it most when I suck her clit, so I do so thoroughly. When I slip a finger into her, she mewls, and I get my first taste of just how tight she is. She’s utterly clamping down around my finger. As I navigate her core, I keep up my ministrations on her clit. She suddenly shudders, and her hips fly up as she lets loose a deep moan, and I know that my finger has struck gold. I make it my mission to pay as much attention to that spot inside her as possible. I move my mouth down and add another finger, positioning my tongue between them and delving in deep. Her juices are flowing, and she’s heady with the scent of arousal. She tastes amazing, and her nectar is doing nothing to ease the throbbing in my own pants. I can feel her walls getting tighter, and I know that she’ll come soon. Moving one hand, I pinch her clit, giving it a gentle twist as the other puts just the right amount of pressure on her g-spot. She screams and clamps down around my fingers as she comes. Her hands nearly rip holes in my couch, and her legs slam against my shoulders. I catch a glimpse of her and notice that her eyes are rolled back, her mouth is open, and the veins in her neck are standing out from the force that bows her back. She looks glorious. And I feel like I could come in my pants like a teenager just from seeing her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After giving Sparrow a few moments to collect herself, I slip her legs from around my shoulders and place her feet gently on the ground.
Tumblr media
“Are you alright, Angel?” I ask, softly stroking her belly.
“I…I’ve never had…” I cock my head at her.
“You’ve never had an orgasm?” I question. Surely that’s not it, though. I’m certain she’s made herself come before. But she shakes her head. I coo and stand, leaning over to kiss her forehead.
“Well, it was my pleasure to give you your first. Now, Daddy is going to get you clean. How does a bubble bath sound?”
“You…You do that?” she asks uncertainly, not meeting my eyes.
“Of course. I have to take care of my little girl, don’t I?” I scoop her into my arms and make my way to the master bath. I place her on the step in front of the tub and turn the taps on. I bought bubble bath just for this occasion. The good shit. It smells of honeysuckle and vanilla, automatically bringing back memories of childhood in Texas.
“Aright, up you go,” I say, helping her to her feet. “Arms up.” She hesitantly does so, and I take her shirt off, tossing it to the heated marble beneath our feet. I make quick work of her bra, and notice that her cheeks are tinted pink.
“Aww, Baby. It’s ok. Daddy loves your body. So beautiful for me.” She looks down at her feet, wiggling her toes, the onyx polish catching in the lights from above. I chuck her chin up and meet her eyes.
Tumblr media
“Do you want me to wait outside? I’d love to bathe you. But if you’re not ready for that yet, I can wait.”
“N-no. I want you to stay. Please,” she replies. I smile.
“Of course, Baby. Let’s get you clean, shall we?” She nods and takes my offered hand, stepping into the sudsy water and sinking down onto her ass.
҉
I’ll admit having a man clean me is a new experience for me. But not a bad one. Collin is very gentle as he runs the cloth over me, cleaning every inch. He cleans deftly between my legs, and despite him just eating me out, I still feel myself blush as his fingers rub over me. And he’s thorough on my breasts. I can see his arousal, but I have no idea if I’m supposed to mention it or not. He must catch me looking at his crotch, because he smiles.
“I’m alright, Babygirl. Tonight is all about you. There’ll be plenty of time for me later.” It’s a promise that hangs heavy in the air. And I’m almost excited for the future.

Perfume I Think Jinx Would Wear
Arcane (Alternative Universe) Based on my fanfiction The Life After
Character: High School! Jinx
*Let’s picture Jinx as a sixteen year old in her sophomore year.
*Jinx is in color guard and her practices can leave her very sweaty, worn, and a tad bit smelly. It happens to all of us, but she has a bottle of perfume that will leave her feeling fresh again (not including baby wipes and deodorant). Calvin Klein’s Women’s CK One is a green tea and citrus blend that easily replaces cucumber melon fragrance she used to have. Two sprits and she’s back on the field after break for more performance work.
Tumblr media
*A staple for her will always be Honey by Marc Jacobs. It’s been her favorite since she turned fifteen and she’s already on her second bottle. At first, it was a sweet gift from her late aunt for her birthday, but she ended up addicted to it. Smelling of punch, honeysuckle, and peach, this perfume is one of the few scents she’s recognized for. It’s her absolute favorite, even if her family isn’t the biggest fan of it, themselves.
Tumblr media
*Every girl has to have a fragrance by Demeter. Her scent options had been vast, but her final selection had been a very strange fragrance: baby powder. It’s rarely used, only when she’s not feeling well or doesn’t want the scent to be too intense. It’s a backup and something she’ll love to put in for easy days. If she were to get a different Demeter perfume, it would be pink lemonade.
Tumblr media
*Thanks to Silco, Jinx is able to get a taste of personal luxury. Her favorite brand is Moschino because it’s unique and fun, so Toy 2 Bubble Gum is perfect. Candied fruit and bubblegum add to her cute disposition, but there’s still an edge of elegance to it that still adds to her personal badass. The bottle is also super cute sitting on her perfume tray in her bedroom.
Tumblr media
*Cheapest thing she wears? The vanilla scent by Body Fantasies. Does it last all day? Nope. Will she have to spray it with each locker visit? Most likely. However, she loves vanilla and it’s super convenient to keep in her bag and at school. She loves their fragrances and doesn’t mind paying $2-$3 for it.
Tumblr media
*Bath and Body Works is a must for teens and she’s in with the French Lavender and Honey scent. It’s sweet, floral, and perfect for spring. Some might call her a “pretentious hipster” for liking it, but she doesn’t care. It makes her happy, which is exactly how fragrances should be approached.

Could possibly describe the scents of your favorites? :)
Coco mademoiselle just makes me feel like I’m in my element. It’s so vibrant, feminine, alluring, and a really strong scent but never overwhelming or suffocating. Everyyyy person asks me what I’m wearing when I wear it. It lasts super well on the skin. It has strong notes of jasmine and orange, which are my favorite combo. It flows through every season too, it’s so versatile, a lot of people say it’s a daytime perfume, but I disagree, I think it transitions to nighttime very easily. If I were to describe it by colors it’s like brilliant gold and mauve pink, almost like a perfect sunset by the beach in a cool city you’re exploring on your own.
YSL Cinema is kind of a mature scent. It’s like the sexiest little vanilla perfume ever. I love YSL’s perfumes in general because they know how to use vanilla notes so so well. There’s a subtle citrus and floral note in it, not apparent enough for it to be a summer perfume. It’s delicious and classy, I feel like I’m in a red gown with a mink fur coat watching an opera when I wear this.
Gucci Bloom kind of grew on me, I’m not gonna lie I hated it at first spray. I’m not the biggest fan of super floral scents, hence why I’m not versed in spring, but it’s my spring scent of choice because of the tropical and unique twist to it. It’s such an Aquarius scent! It’s not so overbearing you feel like you’re in a Bath and Body Works, and you can smell it all day and not get bored of it because it changes throughout the day. I feel like I’m in a rainforest shower, smelling gardenias and honeysuckles that just bloomed. And there’s still a jasmine note which always feels familiar.
For YSL Libre…ugh it’s just so…sexy. Also another sexy vanilla perfume from them, but it has a more citrus note to it compared to Cinema. I feel so confident wearing this. It’s a clean and classy scent, it feels like a windy summer and you’re walking around on a Mediterranean island and picking fruit. It’s currently my top 2, I bought a second bottle of the Libre Intense, even more vanilla scent and a hint of oud.
Armani Si passione is the sweetest of all my favorites by far. I got it I think 2 years ago in October…and fell in love with it. It’s a beautiful combo of woody vanilla, caramel and rose…it reminds me of like candied apples you eat around fall months. It lasts on the skin for a while too.

Relationships: Geralt z Rivii | Geralt of Rivia/Jaskier | Dandelion
Additional Tags: Fluff, geralt has a fixation on jaskier's hands, Pining, Confessions, it's about the hands tm
Inspired directly by this post by @valdomarx
“I didn’t even ask you to come this time, witcher. I don’t know why you’re acting so dour,” Jaskier pouted. He was standing in front of a small mirror that he’d propped up against the table, the only thing with a reflection in the small inn. His shirt was untucked over his tight pants, which were a startling peacock blue this time around. It was a fetching color, nearly matching the bard’s eyes, though Geralt would never voice such a thought aloud. He was fiddling with the ties at the front of the cream shirt, trying to decide on a complicated pattern of lacing that was well beyond Geralt’s understanding. The smell of wisteria and honeysuckle filled the room, overwhelming in its recent application. Jaskier rarely used scents beyond soaps while they were traveling, and Geralt preferred when he could more easily smell the distinct musk of the bard himself, rather than cloying perfumes.
He grunted in response to Jaskier’s comment, leaning against the bedpost. The inn was nice, actually, even though it was small. The sheets smelled fresh, the mattress was free of holes, and there was even a full bath off of the main room. Jaskier had sunk more funds into their accommodations than usual, expecting a big payout from the ball he’d been hired to perform at for the next several nights. “I’m not being ‘dour’,” Geralt said, watching Jaskier tug his shirt closed. His fingers played over the laces, easily working them into a tight series of delicate knots. Geralt wasn’t lying, truthfully. He wasn’t so much dour as… distracted. His eyes followed Jaskier’s hands as they tucked in his shirt, revealing his slim hips. The bard tugged here and there on the fabric, his fingers fluttering about as he searched for just the right amount of artful dishevelment.
Geralt noticed Jaskier’s hands.
He wasn’t sure if this was a universal experience or not. Over the past few months, he’d overcome the initial shock of realizing he was interested in the bard. He’d known Jaskier for years - closer to decades - and it certainly was a notion that took some adjusting to. One day Geralt had just looked up and realized that the gangly limbed youth he’d met in Posada had turned into an extremely attractive man, a man Geralt very much wanted to put his hands on. The thought had been startling, and he’d spent full weeks telling himself that it was a fluke. And yet he was captivated by Jaskier’s broad shoulders, his strong thighs, his infuriatingly dexterous fingers. It was embarrassing really.
But, he reasoned, he was in good company; literally half the Continent wanted to fuck Jaskier. Geralt was particularly unique in that regard. It was honestly more spectacular that he was a person who wanted to sleep with Jaskier who hadn’t. It was a bitter draught to swallow, but Geralt accepted it. Few people wanted a witcher in their bed for more than an hour, and he knew that it could never be a simple one time roll in the hay between himself and Jaskier. Geralt was already spending much of his time reminding himself that he was not and could not be infatuated with Jaskier, the famous bard, womanizer and, above all, his best friend. He was at least self aware enough to know that Jaskier’s rejection would be painful, and that losing him as a companion was unacceptable.
Still, this left him with a predicament. While he assumed Jaskier had caught on to his developing feelings quickly enough, Geralt didn’t want to make the bard uncomfortable with his attentions. He tried not to let anything change between them. He didn’t reach out to pull Jaskier closer when they shared a bed at night, he didn’t give him the best cuts of meat during meals, he didn’t buy small, intricate rings or beautiful leather bound journals for him when they went to the market. He would think about it and then turn away, and keep things how they’d always been. Jaskier was bright and loud and annoying, and Geralt was quiet and snappish. If the bard had wanted anything more, he would have made it clear long before now. Geralt was doing a pretty good job of keeping things platonic, he thought. He probably would have been totally successful if Jaskier hadn’t chosen a lute, of all the cursed instruments, as his primary tool of the trade.
The issue was that Geralt had something of a preoccupation with Jaskier’s hands, which may be a common experience but might be unique to Geralt himself, much to his dismay. They were just exceedingly nice to look at. They had long and elegant fingers with wide, reassuring palms that had spent hours cleaning, patching up and comforting the witcher. They were unscared except for a thin white line under his right ring finger, where Jaskier said he’d been punctured by a nail as a child. Though that wasn’t to say that they were totally unblemished. Years of playing had worn deep calluses onto the tips of his fingers, rougher skin that made Geralt shiver when they played over his scalp as they so often did.
They were nice hands, but it wasn’t just that. They were expressive, an extension of whatever Jaskier felt at the moment. Geralt never knew what to do with his hands if he wasn’t in a fight, but Jaskier’s moved constantly. When he was angry they curled into fists and pointed fingers, elbows tights against his body as he raged at some perceived slight. When he was happy or excited, they darted about him in wide, sweeping gestures, an unspoken language that Geralt thought he might be able to read now without words. When he was tired they dragged, lingering on Geralt’s shoulders or pulling at the seams of his armor as he bullied the witcher into bed. Those moments were almost the worst, picking away at Geralt’s already frayed control, but he found it got to him the most when Jaskier was playing.
To say that Jaskier transformed when he played was not quite accurate. It was closer to say that he became. Jaskier was always intense, bright and focused and vibrant, but when he picked up his lute and stepped onto a stage he was resplendent. When Geralt had first met him, he’d thought maybe Jaskier was a siren, or some kind of incubus, luring men in with his honeyed words and saccharine melodies. He’d quickly realized that no, Jaskier was as human as they came, but it didn’t stop others from acting like they’d been bewitched when he was around. Jaskier performing was Jaskier at both his least and most genuine, distilled into whatever the crowd needed him to be most at that moment. It was enthralling, to say the least, and Geralt wasn’t immune to the draw.
At first watching the lute had been a defense mechanism, of a sort. Watching Jaskier himself was almost too intense, and Geralt felt exposed anytime their eyes met across a crowded room. So he’d taken to watching Jaskier’s hands, flying across the strings of the lute and dancing up the neck. Initially it had been only intriguing, and he’d found himself impressed by the bard’s skill. He was faster and more precise than any other player Geralt had come across, while remaining gentle in his ministrations. Jaskier touched the strings of his lute with such tenderness, as if he were caressing a lover.
One night while watching the bard, Geralt had though, Sometimes he touches me like that. And after that he was well and truly lost.
“I’m just saying,” Jaskier said, bringing Geralt sharply back to the present, “while I would never begrudge your presence, I don’t think the response to Toss a Coin will be as enthusiastic if the titular witcher is off glowering in a corner.” He reached for his doublet, a green jacket picked out with yellow thread that looked like gold in the right light. It was beside Geralt on the bed, and he nearly flinched away from Jaskier’s grasping hands. He thanked every god above that he no longer had the ability to blush the same way a human did, knowing that he would be pink in the face after watching Jaskier lace up his shirt sleeves. The man was actively putting clothes on and Geralt was nearly sweating from it.
“I’m not going to glower in a corner,” he grumbled.
Jaskier gave him a look that displayed an insulting lack of faith in Geralt’s word. “Well,” he said, “at least you’re dressed appropriately.” He’d managed to wrestle Geralt into a black jacket and a pair of dress trousers, though Geralt had won the fight to keep his boots and his swords. It was better, Jaskier allowed, that the people be able to see the tools of the trade. The bard reached out to adjust the collar of Geralt’s shirt. The witcher forced himself to still as Jaskier’s knuckles grazed his Adam’s apple. His skin hummed where they’d made contact.
Jaskier gave him a pat on the shoulder and turned away. “Well, we’re as ready as we’ll ever be,” he said, giving himself one last glance in the tiny mirror. With a grin, he turned to Geralt and said, “If you’re very good I’ll buy you one of those tarts from the market for breakfast tomorrow.”
The words if you’re good rolled over Geralt in a disconcerting way, curling up at the base of his spine and settling like they intended to live there. Shit. He made a slightly strangled sound of agreement that he hoped just sounded annoyed.
As Jaskier reached for the door, Geralt noticed that the ties of Jaskier’s undershirt had gotten twisted around one of the buttons of his doublet. He must have accidentally pushed the clasp through a loop in the laces while he was doing them up. Geralt wouldn’t have noticed unless he was watching Jaskier’s hands, but it seemed like he was always watching Jaskier’s hands nowadays. Watching, anticipating, hoping for the next touch. Geralt reached out and snagged the bard’s wrist before he even really knew what he was doing.
“Um,” Jaskier said, eloquent as ever. Geralt turned his hand over - in for a penny, in for a crown - and started undoing the buttons on the doublet. Jaskier hummed in realization, seeing where the laces had twisted into a knot. Focusing on his task, Geralt bent his head slightly, pulling the thin string loose from its tangle. As he did so, pale, unmarked skin was revealed through the parted fabric, a spider web of delicate blue lines branching out before Jaskier’s warm palm. Geralt’s thumb brushed briefly over the veins, Jaskier’s skin as smooth and soft as fresh rose petals under his rough fingers. He was seized suddenly by an overpowering urge to put his mouth there, to breathe in the scent and find Jaskier hidden under all the oils and the smell of crisp linen. Without thinking too much of it, Geralt bent down and pressed his lips to Jaskier’s wrist, just below the swell of his thumb.
Jaskier gasped.
It was like taking a mouthful of Thunderbolt - the world coming sharply into focus, his mind keenly aware of his surroundings. Geralt nearly jumped back, flinching away from the sound. Fuck. Why had he done that? He’d been helping with a fucking sleeve, it hadn’t required his mouth. Jaskier was going to be pissed. He was going to demand that Geralt stay here while he went to the banquet and then he would find someone to bed for the night and he wouldn't try to find Geralt in the morning, and Geralt would have to set back out on the Path alone all because he couldn’t control himself enough to lace up one sleeve -
“Geralt?” Jaskier's voice cracked slightly. The witcher clenched his jaw, wincing.
“I’m sorry,” he said. His voice sounded strained even to his own ears. He couldn’t meet Jaskier’s gaze. “That was… inappropriate. Have fun at the ball.”
“You’re not coming?” Jaskier asked, sounding distressed now. His scent was still free of the sour stench of fear and anger, but Geralt could hear his heart beating faster. “Geralt, look at me. Just - Are you alright?” Hands came to rest on his shoulders, and Geralt was startled enough at the contact that he raised his eyes to meet Jaskier’s.
The bard looked nervous, but there was something else in his face too. Something softer. Geralt swallowed heavily. “I shouldn’t have touched you like that,” he said. His face tingled with the phantom of a shameful flush.
Jaskeir smoothed his hands gently down Geralt’s arms. A comfort the witcher certainly didn’t deserve. “I don’t mind,” Jaskier said, impossibly. He bit his lip, his tongue darting out to sooth the spot. Geralt couldn’t help but follow the motion even as Jaskier gave him a wry smile. “I wish you’d do it more, if I’m being entirely honest. After all these years, I assumed you weren’t interested.” He took a breath, as if he was about to launch into a very demanding ballad, or perhaps jump from a cliff. “But I very much am. Interested.”
Geralt stared at him for a moment, allowing the words to sink in. Jaskier was looking at him with wide, expectant eyes. His infuriating fingers played anxiously over Geralt’s, not quite holding on. Unsure of what else he could reasonably do, Geralt kissed him.
Jaskier’s hands flew away from his own, and Geralt had a singular crystalline moment of panic before he felt them threading through his hair. Jaskier twisted closer, throwing himself into the kiss with little of the finesse he was so renowned for. It was too hard and too fast, but Geralt drank it anyway, inviting Jaskier in with his tongue and trying to convince him to stay. His fingers tangled in the loose ties of the shirt sleeve, and he could feel Jaskier’s pulse against them. It was almost more intimate than the kiss itself. Jaskier’s heart beat quick and steady under his hand, a rapid tempo just for him.
Finally Geralt pulled away, breathing hard as he pressed his forehead to the bard’s. “This is a fucking terrible idea,” he said.
Jaskier jerked back a bit to glare at him. “How so? Counterpoint: I think it’s a singularly marvelous idea, actually.”
Geralt shifted slightly, uncomfortable. “I can’t… I don’t want to ruin this. You. What we have.”
“We could have more,” Jaskier said, uncharacteristically fragile. Geralt wanted so badly not to break him. “Anything. If you just want a fuck, that’s fine. We can do that. If you want more than that, I… That’s okay too. Or not. Whatever it is, whatever you want.” His fingers smoothed down the back of Geralt’s hair, just at the base of his skull. A caress, as soft as if he were playing his favorite instrument. Maybe he was.
“I’m going to want you,” Geralt said, like a warning. “Longer than you want me.”
Jaskier looked indignant. It was one of Geralt’s favorite expressions, when it wasn’t directed at him. Maybe even then. “I doubt that very much,” Jaskier bit out. The fingers in Geralt’s hair tightened, and the witcher let out a shaky breath. “I have loved you for almost my entire adult life. I doubt I’m going to stop anytime soon.” Jaskier still looked nervous, but there was more anticipation in it than before. Something closer to hope. “So I’ll say it again: Whatever you want. What do you want, Geralt?”
“You,” Geralt said, leaning in again. He pressed the words against Jaskier’s lips. “Always you.”
“Then you have me,” Jaskier said, and he did.

5 movies, 4 songs, 3 essentials, 2 fave books, 1 quote
Thank you so much for the tag @onbeinganangel!
5 Movies
1. The Princess Bride (1987)
My parents are obsessed with this movie (I am too, consequently). We’ve held annual watching parties for The Princess Bride for as long as I can remember, and Rodents of Unusual Size are frequently referenced in our household 😂 It’s the absolute epitome of a perfect movie
2. While You Were Sleeping (1995)
I’m not a huge rom-com person, but I absolutely adore While You Were Sleeping. It never fails to make me laugh, and it gives me the biggest warm, fuzzy feelings 💜
3. Twilight (2008)
So, so painfully bad, but so good. It’s the ultimate comfort movie, and I force my wife to watch it with me regularly
I literally cannot think of anymore movies I watch regularly (I’m much more of a tv person) so I’ll just leave it at this 😂
4 Songs
1. Anchor - Novo Amor
I absolutely adore Novo Amor and all of his songs, but I’m particularly fond of this one. 95% of the bands I listen to specialize in sad indie folk, so this fits the bill perfectly. I’m actually seeing Novo Amor in September, and I’m beyond excited
2. Baby - Oh Wonder
Absolutely obsessed with this song. Anything Oh Wonder writes, really, but this song just makes me feel things.
3. What Have I Done - Dermot Kennedy
This song really reminds me of drarry, and I just love the lyrics. Every time I listen to it, I think I should write a fic about this.
4. On the Train Ride Home - The Paper Kites
I’ve been a fan of The Paper Kites for almost a decade, and I think this is my very favorite song of theirs. It gives me such an overwhelming sense of hope and sadness and loss and comfort, and it’s another song I’d love to base a fic on
3 Essentials
1. My laptop
As long as I have it, I’m happy!
2. A candle
I have a fairly extensive collection of candles (it’s a problem, really). I love burning candles, and I’m currently obsessed with the honeysuckle and peach spritz one from Bath and Body Works
3. My blanket
I’ve got a thick, fluffy pink blanket from Target that I am very rarely without
2 Books
Given the extensive reading I have to do for college (English major) and my obsession with HP fanfiction, I haven’t read many books for pleasure over the past few years 😂 So here are two of my favorite novels from classes I’ve taken!
1. Roxana: or, the Fortunate Mistress by Daniel Defoe (1724)
I read this a few weeks ago, and I actually did my midterm essay on a queer reading of Roxana. It’s very fucked up, and very interesting
2. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (1847)
I also finished this a few weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it!
1 Quote
“To live in this world you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go.” -Mary Oliver
Not sure who’s been tagged, so apologies if you’ve already done this (and no pressure)! @phoebe-delia @makeitp1nk @crazybutgood and anyone else who wants to 💜

Till Death Do You Part {Part 2} (UF Frans)
Her young Lord made her happier than she could ever express. At that moment as her eyes met his, letting the veil of her brilliant white wedding dress fall away, that was the moment she knew she had fallen in love with him. Her soul fluttered just basking in that gentle grin of his. Even after the ceremony, she couldn’t keep the smile off her face.
The festivities were rather lavish but instead of presenting her to the crowd, she felt his arms around her waist. He pulled her away to bring her to the veranda where the sun slipped behind the mountains beyond. They both watched as the sky shifted from soft blues to deep pinks, “May I have a dance with my beautiful bride?”
She turned in his arms as the temperature began to decrease, “You do not find it too cold?” Her eyes fell closed as the skin of his palm met her cool cheek. The cold had always been harsher for her than it did for others. It did not take much for her dainty form to begin to shiver but his hands were warm, soothing.
He found himself feeling more relaxed as he stared down at her, an amused grin playing on his lips, “Hardly. I find the calm and serenity of the night far purer than the harsh light of day. It holds its own beauty. None of which can compare to your own.” A gentle hand-worked to brush a few strands of stray auburn hair from her face. What was he saying that was true and which was a deception? He could no longer separate them.
Instead of dwelling on his sudden spark of emotion he slipped his hand into hers and swayed along with the violins playing in the background. He wanted his privacy with her since he knew far too well that the eyes of his siblings would be on him.
As a lady of status under her father’s name, Frisk, had been taught to dance with as much grace and poise as royalty. At times her governess was rather harsh but that did not stop her from enjoying the time she had with her new husband. She ended up in a twirl as he pulled her back against him, “I find the evening to be peaceful but I tend to feel its icy bite rather quickly I’m afraid.” Red slipped his hand to her shoulder before removing his coat. Ever the gentlemen.
He draped the garment just over her porcelain shoulders making sure that she retained the warmth she needed. A vampire like him certainly had no need for outerwear and the magical blood that coursed through his veins gave off that supernatural warmth. It was one of the reasons why no humans had suspected his rather rare affliction, pale or not.
He brought his hand to adjust the cravat resting at his neck to loosen the fabric's hold. The styles had changed little over the centuries but he could without a doubt say he would much rather be comfortable than the latter, “I do not wish for you to catch your death of cold. Shall we retire for the evening?” Red could feel her shivering just beneath the layer of his coat.
So fragile.
His instinct was to bring her back to the celebration so he would prevent his brother’s suspicions but he let this moment linger. He leaned down letting his lips nestle into the crown of her hair. A vampire’s sense was heightened but why did he just now capture that sweet scent of honeysuckle and lavender? Her scent left him bewitched,  "Now we begin our life together Frisk." Their “life” together. It was a shame he didn’t know how long that would be.
Taking his time had never been his way. He was very much a fast mover, gentlemanly in all the ways that mattered but a demon inside. He had torn through bodies, bathed in blood, and far more horrifying activities. And here... here was this sweet intelligent young woman that looked up at him with the most tender smile. Her eyes sparkled in the flickering gas lamps. Those dainty soft lips parting to speak something he was barely paying attention to.
“I would not want it any other way.”
He found himself pulling away from her enough so that he could tilt her chin up to look at him. A part of him wanted to tell her of his 400 plus year ruse but alas he could not bring himself to do so. Instead, he found himself tracing those pretty pink lips with the pad of his thumb, leaning forward and brushing his own against hers.
His eyes fell closed, sliding his fingers into that lustrous red hair, pulling her closer to him. A kiss that was meant to last. It had to have been the sweetest kiss that he had ever given anyone, perhaps, the only one. He could not stop himself from deepening it only to be forcefully yanked out of the moment. Frisk had pulled away from him now nursing a bleeding lip.
He let his glamor slip during that one moment of passion. His eyes blazed bright ruby before returning to their faux chocolatey hue but his bride did not seem to notice as he caressed her cheek, “Are you alright?” He produced a white cloth from the inside of the coat she was now wearing, dabbing at the wound. There were many things he could have done, erase her memory, use his own abilities to heal her, or try to explain it away. It wasn’t clear if he could even do so in the first place. Never had he once used his powers on her.
She giggled softly, “No need to worry I am perfectly fine.” He could practically feel the love radiating off her as she adjusted their position to touch his platinum, nearly white, blonde hair.  He didn’t have to use compulsion at all, “It is a simple cut and nothing more.”
Why did she not question it? She may have been fine but he began to struggle with his more heightened senses. He could feel her pulse fluttering against his fingertips. How that sweet scent of her blood lingered in the air. His control was impeccable but she was not just any meal. It forced him to swallow thickly as he swept her off her feet, “Shall we retire for the evening, my Love?”
It was pure instinct when he scooped her into his arms. That only made his hunger far worse than before. He couldn’t and he wouldn’t. Not yet. He decided to make up some excuse that his bride was exhausted from the evening events and that now it was time for him to return home with her. No one seemed to question it, not even her father.
They returned to his estate only to find her relaxing peacefully against him. Her sweet blood still was branded into his senses but he no longer struggled to prevent himself from sinking his fangs into her jugular. It was not like he did not want to, however, after as long as he had been living he knew how to maintain control. The reason others ended up staked or worse was because they chose not to. Many vampires had a superiority complex.
Her skin was no longer cold to the touch as he set her down to see her new room, their room. Tomorrow he would take great care to show her around the estate but for now, he wanted her to get some rest.
Frisk was nervous. As wonderful as the day was and as much as she adored her new husband the idea of post-marital obligations caused her cheeks to flush in embarrassment. She was sure that he would expect that of her but she didn’t know. A young lady was supposed to please her husband on their wedding night.
They of course were alone in the bedroom and she truly was exhausted. There was no way that she would be able to remove this dress by herself. One should not sleep in such finery. She had to ask him for help which painted a darker blush over her pale cheeks, “May I ask for some help?” He obliged her request as the zipper slowly gave way to her smooth porcelain skin, feeling his presence behind her.
His hands just rested on her shoulders brushing his fingers the length of her spine. When it came to his self-control in this area he had always failed. Her skin was so soft, nearly as pale as freshly fallen snow. He wanted to be gentle with her, unlike his usual escapades, trailing kisses along her neck. Even though she didn’t breathe a word he could tell she was scared. He mused that it was far from the true reason she should have been but he found it sweet nonetheless, “You need not do anything that frightens you. I feel it’s better for you to rest.”
He had picked up on her nerves it would seem. It was embarrassing especially at how much she wanted to give in after feeling his mouth on her neck and shoulders. Most would remind her of her “duty” but he did the opposite. She didn’t quite know if she was ready for that yet. As a true gentleman he understood. He had since the very beginning, “I... know my vows... what is supposed to take place but I...”
Red had a difficult time placating that side of him but he couldn’t deny the sweet voice that wavered as she spoke. It reminded him of a frightened little kitten, “You need not worry about it. If you wish I shall draw you a warm bath and we can simply enjoy each other’s company before slumber takes us both.” There was no pressure on her from him. Was that what love was?
She did as he suggested, taking a warm bath, slipping into something comfortable for evening wear, and then fell asleep next to him. Unbeknownst to her, however, she ended up snuggling up to him in the middle of the night. In her mind, it was the perfect evening to end a perfect day.
He could have fed from her, taken that precious lifeblood as his hunger grew but he abstained. In more ways than one. She was not a doll, yet her kind and gentle nature filled him with this indescribable protective and possessive instinct. The call of her blood was strong so much so he found his face buried in the crook of her neck later into the night without realizing it.
Just a taste...
That sweet taste during the party lingered on his tongue and it was driving him mad. He shouldn’t have to hold back who he was. It was something he refused to care about before. His thoughts drifted to their moment on the veranda. This was no longer about a stupid game or a simple meal for him. No, this was a hunger he had barely known before and feelings he thought died with his final breath.
She stirred next to him, feeling his warm breath tickling the side of her neck. His arm was wrapped around her waist pressing her flush against him as his lips worked over the skin. They were sweet kisses at first only for her breath to hitch. A sharp pain pricked her throat before it dulled and eventually numbed. Did he just bite her?
Her blood was the single most delicious thing he had ever tasted in his life. The moment he sank his fangs into that supple flesh a warmth spilled into his mouth. Most human’s blood tasted just fine but hers was like drinking straight from a well of dopamine. The power hidden that just resided in her blood was incredible. He could practically taste the magic on the tip of his tongue as he pulled back to look at her.
A thin line of ruby dripped from the corner of his mouth,  glamour now gone. She saw what it had been hiding all along. His canines were far sharper than any humans were, his eyes a gemstone ruby that contrasted her sapphire. Her eyes were wide as she gazed upon him. She watched, petrified as his thumb slipped over his mouth to wipe at the excess of life he had taken from her. He, however, just looked down at her not saying a word and in the end, he wouldn’t let her say anything either. After a meal like that his powers would be at full strength and he could easily wipe that memory away.
His fingers slipped under her chin, having her look deeply into his eyes as he used his abilities to suggest the scene away. She simply had a nightmare in the throes of the night. That was all he had to do, quickly healing the puncture wound that marked her nearly perfect flesh so she would be none the wiser.
He was glad it had worked without complications. The worry that her magic would have made her a touch resistant was but a musing that seemed unfounded. His fear was not of her physical harm but rather her emotional... her mental harm. He was what he was and there was no changing that but here she was sleeping soundly next to him. This is where he wanted to be. He rolled to his side to peck her cheek before wishing her a good morning, "hmm.. good morning my Love."
The following morning she did not utter a word about the nightmare that had come to her. Her body felt a touch weary but when she received that gentle kiss she turned to him with a soft smile. Nothing could change her view on him, not even the fears she had been gripped by the previous night. Her hand came up to play with some of the hair at the back of his neck, "Good morning." He nuzzled into the side of her keeping her close to him, "Did you sleep well?" A little test, surely.
She nodded still half dazed from the sun now filtering through the curtains, "Just a little tired." A soft chuckle came from her as she looked up at him lovingly, "I think my happiness of being wed to the finest gentleman took quite the energy from me." Her eyes fluttered closed residing comfortably in his arms.
She honestly could not be happier, "I love you."
He returned her declaration with one of his own, “And I, you.”
----------------------------------------
That's how it was for months though the poor thing started to feel more lightheaded, weaker. It grew worse but she still tried to keep up her carefree personality even though she was in pain. She rested on the bed, propping her back up with a pillow and reading a book. Her husband had told her to rest regardless of her physical state and so she did. It couldn't be helped but she felt bad that she couldn't do the things she used to. The things that were expected of her.
He played the worried husband but knew for a fact that it was because he was feeding on her often, just enough to keep her weak but not enough to kill her. It would soon be half a year since he slipped that wedding band on her finger. It was far longer than any had lasted before but could that be to his own doing? This was common now. A young woman so full of life and love wasn't meant to be bedridden like this.
He came in with hot soup, tea, and the medicine that her doctor had prescribed to treat her ailments that morning, "My dear? I've made you soup and tea as the doctor advised..." he replied softly, setting the tray on the nightstand with a light clatter.
Even her once gemstone vibrant eyes seemed paler. The very thing that spoke to his very soul. She tried her best to smile at him softly when he came in the room but there were days when the pain was far too much to bear, "Thank you."
I’m sorry.
Their unspoken bond allowed him to hear her thoughts if he so desired and he accidentally let that fact slip from his mouth, "There is no need to feel sorry my Love. We cannot help that you fell ill... And I believe you will survive and begin to thrive again soon.” His voice was soft, loving, caring exactly how he felt at that moment. It was his own doing after all that had made his blushing, lively wife bedridden. If his brothers came to call and found her perfectly healthy then they would not hesitate to be rid of her.
She tried to keep it together not realizing she had not spoken her apology out loud. Her eyes had begun to water, "I've been such a burden." Every time that she blinked another trail of tears were carved onto her already stained cheeks. Red knew he had finally gained a heart because it was breaking, "You have not. Now dry those tears, my love." He brought his lips to her forehead to place a chaste kiss there, "I love you all the same. This moment shall pass. You have my promise."
She nodded gently after that sweet little kiss, "I love you too." It was so hard for him to see her like this. In her mind, she had failed and all those sweet promises from so long ago seemed impossible now, "I pray I get better soon."
Once again she fell asleep unable to keep her consciousness in the waking world, "You will my dear.. I have faith” he whispered softly when he knew she no longer could hear him. While she was asleep his brothers showed up with a soft ring of the outside bell. This was far from the acceptable time to be entertaining those two. It caught him off guard as he hadn't been expecting them.
He continued to let her rest before heading to the main foyer and swinging open the door. Naturally he would be excited to see his two older brothers but his mind was filled with his wife's misfortune, "Carthus? Gered? What are you both doing here? Is there some sort of occasion I have become unawares?" He knew damn well why they had appeared at his doorstep.
Carthus had his arms crossed as he glanced at his brother, "What? We can't see how our baby brother is doing? I feel as though I should be offended in some way. Are you going to invite us inside?"
He had no choice as he gestured toward the living area. The same in which just months before he had joked about the end of his beloved, "But of course. Be quiet, lest you wake my wife. She is asleep with illness." His tone was firm as he shut the door with a soft click. He had to restrain himself from growling as the eldest spoke up, "Why do you care about her at all brother?" Gered asked with a raised brow.
Carthus stepped inside still ever with an amused smirk plastered to his handsome face, "Ah yes... illness. How... unfortunate. I wonder why that is." He just waved his hand gently before heading toward the formal sitting area. Play the game, "Yes... a terribly dreadful thing. The doctor hopes for the best but he cannot seem to find the source." Red followed them to the sitting area playing the dutiful host, "Wine, brothers?" he offered, pulling out a special bottle.
Gered snatched a glass from the tray, crossing one leg over the other, "Yes... Now I wonder... we've both done away with our little pets brother.. but what of your little... fancy?" There it was and he could tell Gered was suspicious before he was even allowed to explain himself.
Carthus could not help the smirk on his face, "Is that even a question? It has been months. You are usually finished in days. It is rather... strange." The middle brother eyed Gered who he was sure had the same question.
Red poured a few glasses giving him time to think, "Ah but you see she has mage blood, and the amount of power I receive from just one feeding rivals any other empty-headed fool I should have the misfortune to stumble across in the coming decade.” His finger tapped at the glass of ruby liquid he was now staring into, “I take all the necessary precautions of course. I wipe her memory each time. She is none the wiser." He said the words flatly with barely any hint of emotion.
Once again the switch to his humanity had been temporarily flipped off. It was required to play the game. He was doing it for her and he knew she would be the one to switch it back within moments. His brother seemed placated by his response. Gered took his glass, swirling the contents before taking a sip, "Curious... so you toy with her then?"
----------------------------------------
Frisk's eyes fluttered open just catching voices. Who was downstairs? Even in the grip of physical pain, she was as spirited as ever. She got out of bed slowly before making herself presentable and heading down the steps. When she was close enough she stopped. He rarely talked about his family. What were they like she wondered?
Carthus swirled his glass like he usually did, leaning back into his chair as if he were a king, "So you are keeping the human alive due to her being special. Is that what I am being led to believe, brother?"
Red removed himself from the decanter and stood before enjoying the vintage he had picked out for himself. It was actually wine this time though there was that hint of a distinct metallic tang to the human senses, "Of course. She is quite delicious for a human, rather enjoyable. She will end up falling eventually anyway. It is the way of their fragile little bodies."
Carthus just laughed, "Indeed though I much prefer the fear that flows through them when they discover the truth of our kin and now they are going to die by the fangs of such a creature. An honor if any at least that they bore witness to our ability before the light is extinguished from their eyes.~" He had always been the sadist.
Frisk froze solid listening to them talk. Delicious? Human? Fragile? CREATURE?! Her soul sunk into her chest. It hurt but nothing like the physical pain she had been in these past months. What kind of a creature lived by the throes of the night, took human form, had an aristocratic lineage, and were sustained by the life of human beings? The conclusion was far too fantastical to believe. VAMPIRE.
He... the one she loved not only was using her but he was a vampire. The night of her wedding she finally realized that her nightmare was no figment at all. It was the truth. That was why she was so weak.
He was killing her, slowly. The heartbroken girl couldn't keep the tears from her eyes as she placed a hand over her mouth holding back any noise that might alert them that she was listening. Her soul felt as though it had cracked in two and so did her heart.
Why? She was so naive. The worst part was... even knowing what he was she would have offered to ease his hunger but no. He lied to her and pretended that he cared.
That was so much worse.
She wouldn’t be able to see that the words he had spoken in an effort to deflect his siblings, pained him. He looked down at his chest now tight with anguish. Frisk. Why do you hurt so? Even he did not know she was hiding just beyond the threshold so near to him.

Magickal Enchantments
Food and Beverage
Three simple words: Keep it light! A spell on a full stomach is not recommended. A heavy meal can leave you sleepy or uncomfortable. Avoid meat the day of your spell, if you can. Stick with fruits and vegetables as much as possible. Fish ----- baked, but not fried or in a heavy sauce----- is a good option. Wait at least two hours after eating to begin your spell.
Try to avoid caffeinated or carbonated beverages; distilled water is an excellent choice because the impurities have been removed. A cup of caffeine-free herbal tea is soothing and relaxing. Try a blend of chamomile and passionflower. Although some of the spells include type of wine or fruit juice during the actual spell, do not take it to extremes.
Clothing As with food and drink, here, too, three simple words apply: natural, loose, and clean. One hundred percent cotton is a wise choice. A loose white gauze garment is nonrestricting and gives you a sense of cleanliness and purity. Some individuals enjoy taking the time to find certain color garments for special spells. The same colors listed in the candle color chart ( click here ) can be use for clothing as well.
If you do not have a cotton garment, choose something as close as possible, like a cotton blend. Comfort is important; Tight jeans and belts do not allow your body to relax. However, wear jeans if they are the most comfortable thing you own ----- and most jeans are 100 percent cotton. If you are in a private place, you may decide to just wear a robe, towel, or oversized t-shirt. You may even opt for nudity. The choice is yours.
Before you get dressed, make every ever to take a bath or shower. Start fresh and clean. Think as you are showering or bathing that you are washing any negative energy off your body. A bath is an excellent idea, especially if you use music and candlelight.
If you're doing a group spell, bathe or shower before leaving the house or before the group arrives. If you can't shower, at least wash your hands and face. If you can wash your feet, that's even better. If water is not available, shake your hands and visualized negativity being removed.
Music
Music has the ability to create a sense of peace ----- providing it's the right music.
By virtue of the fact you are reading this book, I feel safe in saying you most likely are a seeker of peace and well-being. And all likelihood, you already have in your possession music that soothes you. Slow classical music or New Age music seems to be the most popular. Drumming and chanting recordings are also something to consider. Nature tapes offering gentle background music can be found in most department or music stores.
After purchasing any new tape or CD, listen to the entire recording befor e using it for spell work. The first two selections may be ideal, but if song number three goes up thirty decibels and a wolf starts howling, it could send you crashing down from your altered state.
If you have the time, visit your local music or New Age store. Most provide headsets and demonstration tapes that give you the opportunity to listen before you buy. The recording you choose should be long enough to last your entire spell.
Music that suddenly stops in the middle of a ceremony will also break the mood. If you have no choice and you must turn a tape over, at the very least have your sound system close to you so you do not have to leave your spell area. Music is the sound of the soul: If you can include it in your rituals, all the better.
⚪10⚪
Magickal Tools
Any tangible item used for ritual can be considered a magickal tool as long as it means something special to you. The creative part of our brain works in symbols, so it makes sense to use symbols as a way to conduct creative magick. You probably already have magickal tools and may not even recognize them. It may be your favorite picture that makes you "feel good" upon merely looking at it, that special coin that a relative gave you when you were a child, or a favorite pen you've had for years.
Candles
Candles bring light into our lives ----- both literally and symbolically. They chase away the darkness and allowed new projects, thoughts, and relationships to emerge. Lighting candles before a spell can create very powerful energy.
Candles also represent the three levels in which we exist. The wax corresponds to our physical body, the wick to our mind, and the flame to our soul or spirit.
Candles come in a myriad of colors, shapes, and sizes. Some are scented, some unscented. For our purposes, shape and scent ( or lack thereof ) are unimportant. Do give some consideration to the size of your candle. If you deem your spell will take an hour, don't light a candle that burns for only thirty minutes.
Color is a significant part of what candle burning is all about. Different colors represent different vibrations. As the candle burns, the vibration of that color is red. Refer to the color chart to clarify which color best suits your needs. You may use just one candle or a combination.
If you don't have any idea color available, use white. When burning a white candle, pay attention to the smoke. When it starts to smoke, negative energy is being cleansed from that area. When the smoke subsides, the energy in that area is cleanse and clear.
Take caution in purchasing a white candle that is too inexpensive. Inexpensive white candles smoke too readily and can confuse you. However, I would also not advise going to the extreme and looking for top-of-the-line candles. Use common sense and buy moderately. When working with candles, always use caution and do not leave them unattended.
Candle Color Interpretation
WHITE Purity, power, newness, spells, healing, peace, and psychic skills. White will intensify the effect of any color candle it is used with.
BLACK Removal of negative energy; not a color of evil or negativity. Release and banish.
BLUE Peace, tranquility, protection, fidelity, astral projection.
BROWN Protection for the household; telepathy, stability.
SILVER Neutralizer of negative energy or forces.
GREEN Prosperity, money, success; counteracts jealousy, ambition.
ORANGE Provides additional energy needed for work or other endeavors; promotes order, control over the self.
PINK Love, friendship, romance, affection, giving.
PURPLE Intuition, psychic pursuits, power and independence, wisdom.
RED Fertility, physical strength, sexual passion, courage.
YELLOW Well-being, self-esteem, attraction, glamour, action.
As mentioned earlier, this chart can be used as a guide for making clothing color choices.
In my experience, people have either love incense or they have an aversion to it.
⚪11⚪
Incense and Fragrance
Incense also comes in different sizes, shapes, and forms. Some types of incense are already labeled with names reflecting the effects they hope to achieve: There is stress-relieving incense, energy incense, love incense, and so on.
Some people prefer to burn potpourri or oils. One of the purposes of incense in these particular rituals is to bring you into an altered state of consciousness in the most peaceful way possible. If the smell of sage or sandalwood calms you, use it. But if your sinuses say no, give them respect.
Don't get caught up in what others have decided is the best aroma for you. For example, studies have shown citrus fragrances promote energy, and the smell of lilac can calm us. But don't force yourself to inhale a scent if you don't care for simply because the label states "incense for romance." Always buy what you enjoy.
Experimenting with new aromas is also fun. Most incense is inexpensive and sometimes sold by the stick. One thing to be careful of: If you are going to do a spell inside or in a small area, try your new purchase out prior to its actual use. Otherwise, you may be subject to a disagreeable smell for hours, if not days. Incense can take a while to dissipate and may linger in the air for a long period of time.
Here are some recommended sense and herbs you may want to try that correspond to a certain magickal work. Remember: These are only suggestions and not a must.
👤 Health Bay, Carnation, Cedar, Eucalyptus, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Myrrh, Pine, Sage, Sandalwood, Thyme 💞 Love Apple, Musk, Rose, Ambergris, Basil, Cinnamon, Chamomile, Dragon's Blood, Jasmine, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Peppermint 📠 Career \ Job Vanilla, Allspice, Cloves, Nutmeg, Pine, Wisteria, Heliotrope, Spruce, Sage, Mint, Honeysuckle, Cedar, Bayberry 🌹 Women's Issues Musk, Orange, Hyacinth, Myrrh, Pine, Rose 🐯 Men's Issues Musk, Cedar, Jasmine 🌅 Spirituality Frankincense, Heliotrope, Jasmine, Sweetgrass, Gardenia, Pine, Sage, Violet, Sandalwood, Rose

Crystals and Gemstones
Crystals bring life to our quartz watches. They receive and transmit radio waves. Without quartz crystals, the computer age would never have happened: They are what make up integrated circuits and electronic chips.
The power of crystals go far beyond the products we have derived from them. They are important tools in magick, having the ability to focus and direct energy to a specific intention. Some say they have healing powers, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Many other stones also have special energy that can assist in your spells. For a quick reference, I’ve listed a few below. But this is a huge area of exploration. If you want to know more, your local bookstore or library will certainly contain numerous books on the subject.
Gem Stone Qualities
A special note about quartz crystals: These stones are available in nature stores, gem shops, and most New Age gift stores in rough or polished form. You need not spend more than a few dollars on your crystals. Start with something small, and go to a larger size if you feel it's necessary. If you are unsure of which is the best stone to intensify your spells, use a clear quartz crystal. Clear quartz crystal stimulates healing, balances the elements to fulfill us and make us whole. Aids psychic development. Amethyst a very powerful spell stone. Psychics and healers have used its curative properties for years. Helpful in dispelling anger and anxiety, aids in feeling less scattered. Carnelian often called the stone of good luck. Said to purify the blood, stimulate sexual emotions, and aid in sexual function. Lapis lazuli draws love to us. It is also reputed to be effective in healing headaches, high blood pressure, depression, insomnia, and other such ailments. Malachite increases energy, is connected to change and creativeness. The Egyptians wore crushed malachite as eye shadow to guard against the evil eye. Moonstone is said to be a stone of magic. It increases psychic abilities and is used widely for spell rituals. Astral projection is accelerated when using a moonstone. Rose quartz also known as the love stone. A stone and that deals with the energy of all the emotions. Turquoise builds strength, provides protection. It is a sacred stone to the Native Americans. It is a protective stone for horses and their riders. In Arabia it is a stone of meditation. It has equality of absorbing negative energy. When purchasing, carefully touch the crystals at the store. A stone chooses you, you don't choose it. It would just “feel good” to you, having something the others don't possess. Use your gut feeling ----- which is your intuition talking to you.
Charging Your Crystal
Once you find your crystal, it needs to be "cleared, charged, and programmed." Cleanse it of a past owner’s energy and \ or the energy that has been placed on it by individuals examining it by washing it in cold water or letting it sit in a bowl of water.
Next, use the Moon to charge the crystal. Place it overnight in view of one of the phases listed below:
New Moon a crystal charged in this phase specifically offers energy that supports new beginnings, confidence, hope, and specifically anything of increase. Full Moon a crystal charged in this phase brings power to support anything you want to achieve. This is actually the best all-around phase to utilize.
Once you have cleared and charged your crystal the last step is to program it. Hold it in your hand, and focus on the vibrational energy you are looking for to accomplish your goal. Visualize your final goal, but not the way you think you're going to get there.
For example: if you want to lose twenty pounds, see yourself on the scale twenty pounds thinner. Don't try to analyze the way it will come about. This is best left to your higher power to solve.
If you choose, you can program any of your other gemstones as well.
⚪13⚪
Element Water
Throughout the spells you will see the use of what I refer to as element water. Element water is basically water that has been charged to help you do magick during a thunderstorm.
It represents fire, earth, air, and water, a forceful mix of elements at their highest potency. Lightning represents fire, which corresponds to power, energy, magick, and lust. Thunder represents air, which corresponds to spirituality, health, and knowledge. The strength of the storm represents earth, which corresponds to nature, being grounded, wisdom, and all things material. The rain itself represents water, which corresponds to emotions, reflection, love, creativity, and purification.
How to Make Element Water
Basically you are collecting rainwater with intention. First you will need a container to collect the water. I have used glass, plastic, clay pottery, and almost any type of container one can use, and I have seen no difference. You may feel a natural material is better or something you feel special has more impact. If these are your thoughts, then seek a special container. I personally use two or three chalices.
The important thing is that the container is new or extremely cleaned, having been sterilized in a dishwasher or by boiling if is made of glass. If the container is new, still clean it to remove energies from other people who may have handled it. Because thunderstorms are not all that common, I recommend obtaining as much water as possible so you will always have some on hand.
If you know that a storm is approaching, take your container and place it in a spot where it will collect water. Some people always leave a container outside just in case, and others only place one out when they are almost certain storm is near.
After the storm and your water has been collected, you should invoke a "hand blessing." Place both hands above the container with your palms facing down and say, "Bless this water. May it empower my intentions."
Now, transfer your element water into a practical container for later use if you are not going to use it immediately. A glass or plastic jug or bottle with a lid is a good choice.
The water is not limited to use only during rituals. It can also be used to bless something. Feel free to separate your water into smaller bottles for traveling or even to give a small bottle to a friend. It is a perfect gift for someone who is like-minded because it comes from nature and you have put your personal energy into it with good thoughts and well-wishes.
Around the holidays, I take element water and put it in tiny plastic containers with little labels that read, “Element Water.” I then tie ribbons around the necks of the containers and give them to special friends in case they want to bless something. I use element water to bless my car, computer, office, home, and the cat next door!
Special Notes
Element water will only be powerful when rain, lightning, and thunder are all present. An average rain will not do.
Do not use water that flows from a gutter! It may seem to be a very easy solution, especially if you want a large amount quickly. However, the fact is the rainwater being channeled through the gutter is not as pure as water coming directly from the sky because it has picked up debris.
Do not be concerned about pollution in the air when gathering water. Your blessing over the water purifies it.
Do not drink the water, as it is not meant for your inner body.
If you are not in an area where you are able to collect water, ask a friend to do it for you. However, you must conduct the “hand blessing” once it is in your possession.
Be cautious in thunderstorms and do not go out when lightning is about. For safety reasons, wait till the storm is over to bring your collected water inside.

Additional Magickal Tools
Other magickal tools mentioned in spells will include the following. Feel free to substitute what is available or what works for you.
Wand or knife: Sword, athame, letter opener, or any type of wand or long crystal. Any pointed object that extends as a pointer will work. One can purchase decorative wands displaying gemstones and crystals in New Age gift stores, fantasy stores, or through Internet Web sites. A double-edged knife is also available through the same sources. Fire burning container: Iron pot, mini-chiminera ( small Mexican fireplace ), ashtray, metal trash can, cauldron. Anything that can contain a piece of paper being burned within a safe vessel. Special drinking glass: Any container that can hold wine or grape juice: wine glass, cup, bowl, chalice, or favorite goblet. Optional tools:
Flowers and fruit
Religious statues or holy cards
Tarot cards or Runes ( or other methods for telling future events; psychic forms divination )
Pendulum ( Click here for information on making decisions using a pendulum )
Pentacle or pentagram symbol ( The pentacle is a five pointed star with lines connecting with a circle encompassing it. A pentagram is the same five point star but has no circle. This symbol represents the elements earth, air, fire, water, and what is sometimes known as the fifth element, spirit. A pentacle or pentagram can also represent the human body with legs and arms outstretched. This symbol is often used in rituals as a form of protection while the ritual is underway. The star should always be in an upright position. The reverse is considered to be negative.)
Tumblr media
Cross ----- any kind ( The universal symbol of a cross represents the bringing together of multiple dualities into a single whole. It can represent human form with extended arms, as well as crossroads in your life. Crosses have numerous religious and spiritual meanings.)
Bells ( A bell can be rung to invoke universal powers and note the beginning of a ritual. Some people use bells as a form of protection to keep evil away. )
Who knows what contains magic and love for each individual? But I do know if you have such items, you should hold them dear and use them to assist you.
⚪15⚪
Personal Altars
To have a personal altar is by no means a requirements for doing spell work, but it is an excellent place in which to keep your magical tools and to worship whomever you choose. Use it not only as a storage for these special items but also has a place to pray, meditate, and to receive answers from your higher self.
An altar can be any area that is flat. It can be a separate small table or any action on your dresser. The top of a large sound speaker could be used; a bookshelf or two cement block with a piece of wood laid across them would do. Once again, you get to be creative.
You may not want to have a permanent altar but prefer to set up a temporary one just for your spell use. Your altar can typically would display items such as candles, incense, wands, knives, gemstones, statues, chalices, element or holy water, and anything else you would use as a special component that had spiritual and enchanting properties. I do not feel there is any special way to set up an altar. Moving things around until it looks and feels right to you.
An outside altar is also a lovely thing to create if possible. It can be built near a favorite tree using stones and bricks. You may construct a special table outside made of wood. To make it easier, use a tree stump or a rock that is fairly level.
When fashioning an altar, try to stay away from the use of too much metal. Natural materials are always the best. However, if your only choice is an altar containing a lot of metal, tried to cover it. Use a natural fabric or put a piece of wood over it. Try to keep things natural.
As for the direction to face your altar, there are many schools of thought. Some suggest facing north because it is the most grounded direction. Others will recommend facing the altar east because it is the direction the Sun and Moon rise. Each direction has a special meaning and place. Therefore, I feel you should put it anywhere in which it is practical.
I have seen rolling altars, where people have made altars on the top of units that have wheels so they can roll through a room to face the direction they feel it needs to face for a particular spell or meditation. A rolling altar can also be kept out of the way in a closet if you are pressed for space.
Altars are extremely personal, as well as very interesting, and there is no right or wrong way in which to set up this area of sacred items.

Note
1/? Hi I'm an ocean witch and I'm currently doing a month-long ritual leading up to my birthday in August. The point of it requires some context: I grew up in a Southern state, not a drop of ocean water to be found, yet ever since I discovered the ocean when I was young, I've always felt drawn to it. I'm a big believer in past lives and believe I may have been something ocean-related in one. But I've always felt connected to the water. Bodies of water, in general, but specifically the ocean.
1/? I've always dreamt of how the waves look, how it would be to swim past a kelp forest and coral reef into the vast empty expanse of blue water. To see a storm from underneath, the surface torn by winds and rain. And I've always felt drawn to merfolk. Growing up, there were many little plants around my yard. We had a honeysuckle bush on the fence, a bush in the yard that grew bundles of little purple and pink flowers, a peach tree, tulips in the backyard and tons and tons of fairy rings.
1/? I would water these plants and never, ever step in the fairy rings since I knew old tales of humans who would. After I left, everything, even the fairy rings, died. When I was 10 years old, I found a spell online that by now, everyone's knows of or heard of it, where you would wear a charm necklace for a week, say the spell in the bath under a full moon, and become a merperson when the week was up. I did it, having this really beautiful heart stone that shone different colors and since lost.
1/? But something.. weird happened. My last day of the spell was on a Friday. I remember that week (and the many before it) of dreaming, hoping, and wishing to be a merman. When I fell asleep that night, I awoke in water. A few feet off the shore, the water was clear as day. Big stone pillars covered in algae dotted the seafloor and I felt a pull to start swimming, to find something. Ahead of me I saw a flash of an orange/yellowish tail. It wasn't a dolphin or shark or anything like that.
1/? I swam after her. It felt like whoever or whatever this was had feminine energy. She turned left, right by a pillar, and I woke up. My heart was pounding and in one fluid motion, from the seconds between seeing her vanish and waking up, I ripped the necklace off. I calmed myself and went back to bed, then having a dream with hints of clouds and feathers. For years and years I've tried to figure out what this dream means, who that being was, and why I dreamt of air after that since I feel
1/? little to no connection to it. And then I grew much older, moved in with some witchy friends, and started my oceanic craft. Only.. I had a dream, a couple months ago (I can lucid dream somewhat and have always had very vivid ones). My friends and I were driving down a road I know in my town, but it was covered on either side by trees. A forest. We stopped the car by a rundown convenience store to get gas and snacks. It was the dead of night and when I looked up from the car, I saw a sky
1/? full of a thousand stars, a thousand galaxies. It was so vast and you could see every single one. I ripped my gaze away, instead going inside the store with my boyfriend and this girl with hair this shade of orange it looked almost red, piercing green eyes, and freckled white skin. I wasn't aware I hadn't seen her before in my life, and we entered. My boyfriend was asked to stay in the very small entrance, two people sat at a table in front of a door barring him from entry. They let the girl
1/? and I enter. We did and saw a rectangular table with many people sitting at it, all but one I didn't get good vibes about. The one who felt okay was at a corner seat, flashing my friend and I a kind look. I sat the table, which was filled with 3D shapes of all kinds, colorless, top and bottom. In front of me was a very large book, opened to a random page. They told us we had to solve some kind of puzzle and could use the book if needed. I kept looking at the shapes for meaning and before I
1/? knew it our time was up. Here I actively affected the dream by telling them, no, give us another chance. They reset the timer and we started. I flipped the pages to find a folded up piece of paper. I glanced at the woman at the corner seat and it was an old friend of mine. She smiled and winked at me. I looked at the book and looked back, but she was the woman from before. The page I'd flipped to had a picture of a lushous, green valley in it and a folk tale about a lava horse, similar to a
1/? kelpie but benevolent. The piece of paper had a spell written on it. But they were mad we got it and we had to escape. I wasn't worried about my boyfriend or friends, I knew they could get themselves out of trouble. I used the spell and the red-haired girl turned in the lava horse from the story. I hopped on her back and she created a portal to a valley similar to the one in the picture. When I woke in the valley, the girl (not in horse form) and I were in a car, driving in the lil valley
1/? town. One either side were strips of valley that went upward, leading to a dam that people walked on. The girl and I made our ascent and caught a group of people throwing airplanes off the bridge, but they flew so far and didn't really look like airplanes. They offered for us to throw some. I think the girl did. But I had turned to see past the dam. It was an expanse of forests and a field. It stretched on for miles. And I remember smelling the sea breeze and a splash of water before I woke
1/? And that was the dream. My roommate actually had a dream a while back with the same exact red-haired girl in it. We think she may be a Fae. I don't know what this dream means. My friends suggested it could be an introduction to elemental trials to where I have to get through them to go back to the place I dreamt of when I was 10 and that's what my ritual's for. All this month, I've been working with offerings and Caer Ibormeith, Dream Goddess, to try to go back to that spot. Not dream since
1/End I know I was younger and different. I wanted to know your thoughts and apologize for how long this got. I wanted to ensure you had plenty of context. I've also worked with certain sea energies/creatures before and though landlocked, I know my magick is powerful. I really need to get back there. To know what it all meant. And I wanted your thoughts and advice on the matter. Do you think it will be a series of trials? With Earth, Air, Fire and Water? The last dream felt like an introduction.
I also forgot to mention that since July 1, after soaking it in rainwater, I've been wearing a crystal necklace (nearly transparent, light purple/blue in color) and did a ritual bath for the Buck Moon to invoke a similar call to magick that I did at 10. Thank you for reading, sorry about all the tasks. 😳
I apologise if I miss something, so just send in another ask if I do.
First and foremost, I think you should look into starseeds. Mintakan, specifically. They are strongly drawn to water, dream of swimming, compassionate, etc etc. There’s a lot more too it but those are just some key points I noticed.
Also, your first dream kind of sounds like a memory. You should look into the meaning behind each detail and each dream. It will take a while but I think it will give you some answers. Make sure you figure out how the details are connected to each other too. (This may not apply across dreams).
I agree that the girl in your dream may be fae, too. Most have green eyes, and since yours is paired with pale skin, she’s probably a Seelie. Their hair is also indicative of their first element. Some think that the four elements are where faeries originate, which would explain why each faerie has its own element which it can control and create. Mermaid/merman faeries are also a thing and they have the ability to breathe underwater, giving them infinite air.
I believe that the mermaid in one dream and the orange haired girl in another are the same. And, assuming she is fae, she has used/incorporated all four elements in some way. (Walked by a forest, breathed under water, was an underwater creature, colour of her hair, etc).
I’m not too sure if this is a trial but you could ask your deity about it. You have a lot of signs pointing towards one as each element is a reoccurring theme in your dreams.
I also can’t help but feel the need to ask if you did ever step in a faerie circle, even accidentally. There feels like there’s something else you don’t know about the situation so that was my first thought.
One last thing. I’m not sure how you feel about this, nor how I do honestly, but it might be worth researching fae-people. As in humans that are faeries. I don’t know much about them but I know they can be either born or turned.
Don’t be shy if you want me to clarify or help with something!! Lmk if I missed something too

The Life of Abigail:
Some people just unlucky in the parents department and Abigail Blasko was one of those people. With a mother who didn’t seem to care much for her kids and a father who was more concerned about drinking his beer and watching the game, being the eldest female, Abigail was often left to care for her siblings. Honestly, Abigail wasn’t all that shocked when their mother ended up ditching and their father still continued to show little interest in the children that seemed to keep popping up.
Rather than focus on school, Abby spent most her time helping her older brother to look after the younger Blasko siblings- making sure they had a hot meal each night, that there was just enough cash to keep the house working and they all were bathed and fed before bed each night. While her friends were out shopping at the mall each weekend, Abigail was running around making sure homework was done and there were no broken bones because fuck, medical is expensive.
It was a drunken mistake really, she was 18 decided to attend a party with her friends and Abby woke up the next morning naked and no used condom in sight. Pushing it aside and leaving the one-night stand behind with a simple kiss. It was a month later that she noticed her breasts were tender and she couldn’t hold any food down and a bright blue positive sign confirmed her worst fears; she was pregnant.
Despite her better judgement and the advice of others, she decided to keep the kid and eight months later gave birth to a little girl whom she named Isabel, though she refused to name the father despite knowing exactly who he was, she didn’t want an outside influence to compromise her child, so a big father unknown was placed on Isabel’s birth certificate. It wasn’t that much of a change for the young woman, just another kid to look after except she vowed to never leave this one like her own mother had done. Enrolling in beauty school and trusting her siblings to help babysit, Abby managed to walk away with a hairdressing qualification, perhaps the only Blasko to ever receive a certificate that wasn’t a fine or arrest warrant.
The next seven years went by in a blur, she worked her ass off to help continue looking after her family. Somehow managed to get she and her daughter their own place and open a home salon in the small garage so she could be with her kid and not worry about babysitting. It was on a rare night out that she meet a member of the Diablos, a drunken laugh and soon she was invited into their world. Despite appearing like a young single-mother who worked as a hairdresser to provide for her child, which was not an unusual sight in Newton, Abby was soon apart of a world far from the one she presented at PTA meetings.
It made sense really, she loved bikes and she loved the thrill of being apart of the club- she found comfort there and it didn’t take her long to rise through the ranks of the club, she proved to be a strong presence and a quick-thinker which is how she earned the title of negotiator, the one who sits down and tries their best to stop an all-out war from happening with rival gangs. Despite being heavily involved in the club, she does try her best to keep her daughter away from that life, instead having Isabel focus on her schooling and being the Blasko who actually manages to get out Newton and make something of themselves.

Moon Phases and Correspondences
The moon has been captivating people since the beginning of time. It’s guided our way on the darkest of nights and pulls at the tides as well as our emotions. There are myths and stories about the moon from every ancient culture, and it is still a central part of many pagan religions and spiritual paths. Here we break down the basics of lunar magick into easy-to-digest chunks including the moon’s phases, magical properties, correspondences, and more.
The Magical Basics
The moon seems to grow and then fade over the period of one lunar cycle (one month). This growing, reaching its full potential, and then diminishing is referred to as moon phases. Each moon phase has magical qualities that aid the individual in his or her magic and healing.
Our Connection with the Moon
Why is the moon so important when it comes to magick and spirituality? The moon pulls at the ocean’s tides, and since we’re made up of at least 60% water, it has a profound effect on our lives too. Ever notice how certain people get a little loony on the Full Moon? The terms loony and lunatic stem from the word lunar which means moon. There’s a reason people act differently on the Full Moon, and when we tune into the moon’s phases, we start to notice just how much the moon affects us and our surroundings. It’s also thought to increase paranormal activity, which you can read about here.
The Female Body & The Moon
Just as the moon is reborn, grows, reaches its fullest potential, then wanes again, so do our bodies. For thousands of years, women have noticed their moon cycles (menstruation – the syllable men meaning moon/month) syncing up with the moon’s phases. This is lunar magick at its core. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so too does the womb. This is why the moon is often associated with the Goddess in forms of neopaganism and Wicca.
Lunar Magick Correspondences
The moon corresponds to certain elements, plants, animals, and gods/goddesses. Feel free to adapt and change to fit your lifestyle, preferences, and needs. Here are some magical correspondences for lunar magick:
Herbal/Plant Moon Correspondences: vervain, moonflower, jasmine, lemon balm, cabbage, camellia, camphor, chickweed, moonwort, gardenia, grape, lemon, passionflower, turnip, potato, pea, cucumber, pear, peach, willow, poppy, mountain ash, mango, wallflower, rowan, cactus
Animal Moon Correspondences: owls, rabbits, wolves, deer, cats, moths, bats, spiders, raccoons, opossum, cows, frogs, dogs, crabs
Deities Moon Correspondences: Selene, Sophia, Thoth, Artemis, Diana, Luna, Blodeuwedd, Man in the Moon, Rabbit in the Moon, Khonsu, Inanna, Hecate, Cerridwen,
Crystal/Stone Moon Correspondences: moonstone, selenite, obsidian, silver, mother-of-pearl, aquamarine, gold beryl, topaz, emerald, clear quartz, coral, pearls
Where to Start with Lunar Magick
Many people don’t know where to start with lunar magick. My first suggestion is to go outside at night and identify the moon’s phase. Do this time and time again until you instinctively know what phase the moon is in. If you can’t see the moon or can’t get outside, you can also use a moon phase app on your phone.
Simple Moon Rituals
Next, start with a simple moon ritual like a cleansing bath on the waning or new moon. Add a few herbs to the water that correspond to the moon (make sure they are safe topically before bathing in them). On the Full Moon, perform a simple candle spell for protection or love, etc. The next time you want to cast a spell or perform a ritual, look up what moon phase is best and perform it then. Lunar magick isn’t complicated and doesn’t take long to learn. After a little while, you’ll notice your emotions and your life corresponds with the moon’s cycles.
Blue Moon
When two moons fall in one calendar month the second is called the blue Moon, and this is the month that we will use for our wishes. It falls in a different month each year, but it is a very powerful moon. The blue moon is always the second of the full moons in the corresponding month. We need to write down aims and goals for the up and coming year. Place them in an envelope and don’t look at them until the next blue moon. Dress your blue moon altar in the colors that correspond to the month it falls into, and place flowers and fruits from that month, also place pictures of things you would like in your life. Stay real here and keep it down to earth.

Zodiac Full Moon Magick
The Moon spends a day or two each month in each of the twelve signs of the zodiac. The sign the moon is transiting through can be used to good advantage during spellwork.
Full Moon in Aries
A good time to perform spells related to job ventures and all new projects related to money. Also, a good time to develop strength and courage, and lust spells. This is not a good moon for performing divination.
Full Moon in Taurus
This moon is excellent for spellwork related to love, creativity, and inner peace. Spells done at this time take the longest to manifest, but the results will be very long lasting and be stable.
Full Moon in Gemini
The perfect time for spells dealing with communications, healing, and uncrossing spells. Be careful- the moon in Gemini can be unpredictable and unstable.
Full Moon in Cancer
Excellent for any spell involving the home, fertility, children, or divination.
Full Moon in Leo
Spells involving leadership, prosperity, fame and career are best done in Leo, but do not perform any spells involving love, or any other emotion, as Leo may actually counteract it.
Full Moon in Virgo
This moon ensures a spell which involves meticulous detail, especially spells involving education, healing, and stability.
Full Moon in Libra
Excellent for working a spell with a partner, and for magick involving marriage, couples, partnership, peace, and fairness.
Full Moon in Scorpio
Use this energy for mysteries, the occult, divination, and sex magick.
Full Moon in Sagittarius
This is an excellent time to experiment with new techniques or magick spells, but it is not a good time for psychic work or divination.
Full Moon in Capricorn
Perfect for spells to manifest life’s basic needs and for stability.
Full Moon in Aquarius
The best time to work on behalf of others, but consciously stay focused on your heart to maintain a higher consciousness with others, and to avoid selfish motives.
Full Moon in Pisces
Perfect for divination and psychic work, past life regressions, and communication with spirits.
New Moon
The new moon is a time of initiation and new beginnings. It is the time to plant a seed of what you want to grow in your life. Making a wish, an intention, a promise, or a vow is a common custom. It is believed that as the moon grows, that your intention or goal will too usually by the time the moon completes its cycle and returns full circle to new again.
The new Moon offers us its energy of intention, to rid ourselves of the negative habits in our life. The energy of the new moon aids us in ridding our minds and bodies of toxic thought patterns as well as eliminating toxic substances like excess alcohol, processed foods, caffeine & tobacco usage. Starting a new project, or discipline should be substantially less difficult to stick to when started during the new moon. it's important to come up with a ritual that has meaning for you, instead of trying to follow any set guidelines (unless your part of an established ritual group).  Astrology expert Molly Hall has some wonderful insights as to creating a personalized New Moon Ritual.
Creating a New Moon Ritual
Gather Sacred Supplies:  Your altar is where you collect your sacred objects -- pictures, found objects and the like. Using herbs with healing or symbolic properties adds to your ritual. Stones and crystals are another powerful ally. Candles are magical, and in its form contains all four of the elements. A small journal on hand allows you to keep a record of your intentions.
Preparing for the Ritual: This is the most important part of ritual, since your commitment is the key. Take a ritual bath with sea salt to clear your field of any negative energies. Sage is an herb used to clear a space and make it sacred for ritual.
Light the end of the sage wand and blow on it until there is a smoldering glow. Use it around your own body, and in the space of your ritual. Clear your mind with meditation, using music or just quieting down in your cleared, sacred area.
Grounding: This is something that's important anytime, for staying connected to earth energy. Signs that you're not grounded are mania, nervousness, racing thoughts and the like. Too often we forget to feel the earth under our feet. I've mentioned Starhawk's Grounding Meditation a few times on the site, and her tree grounding exercise is one of my own daily rituals. In a nutshell, it's visualizing the roots going down into the Earth, through the layers, into the core, and then drawing that energy back up through your feet again. It moves through each chakra, coming out the top and down around you. Try this or another variation of grounding before you set new Moon intentions.
Your New Moon Wishes: After you've cleared a sacred space and settled your energy, you're ready to set your intentions. Make a list of what you'd like to draw into your life and Dream Big! The new Moon is a moment to conjure what seems out of reach, and creating the vision is the first step to making it a reality. But these are not just words on paper. As you write them down as intentions, you are committing to doing your part to make them real. Some call it is co-creating, since you're opening to universal energies to set dreams in motion.
Dreams of the Soul: Your intentions come from the longings that keep coming up. In the days leading up to the new Moon, give some thought to those longings, and see what images, dreams and streams of thought come up. Use symbolic associations to go along with your intentions. Weave in the element for the new Moon and think about the houses and planets that are affected by it. For an earth new Moon, for example, you might plant seeds that represent your intention. Rituals are a way to work with universal energies, and draw attention to the particular life lessons, or arena (house, planet, etc.) that it illuminates for you.
Symbolic Acts: Here's where you get to be creative. If your intentions are to write a book, or broadcast your ideas out to the world, tie them to a helium balloon and send them off. Write them on a stick and offer it to the fire. To open to love, put lavender and a rose quartz in a small pouch, along with the qualities you're seeking. If you're inspired, add a symbolic act to your intention-setting ritual.
Keep them Alive: A big part of success with new Moon intentions is what comes after. Find ways to keep them in the front of your awareness. Put them in a visible spot or keep them in your wallet. Make notes in your journal about your progress. At the full Moon, find ways to take action on those intentions, and celebrate any signs of change.
 Waxing Crescent Moon
During the days that follow a new moon, it’s time to anchor into your intentions. Focus on one thing you want to bring into existence during this lunar cycle. To that end, practice visualizations and affirmations at this time. Write your new moon intention out clearly and succinctly and read it daily.
When the moon is "waxing" it appears to be growing, the period from the dark to full moon phases. It's magnetic energy assists with bringing things to out. This entire waxing period is the best time to work with constructive magic, or magic that builds things/brings things to us.
The waxing crescent is the best time for magic on yourself (or on the subject) pertaining to new beginnings, such as starting a new project or making plans for the future. If you're looking to conjure energies into your life such as a more positive attitude, more patience, more understanding in your relationship, this is the perfect timing for such goals. When you want to cast spells for self-improvement, such as if you want to improve your psychic abilities, to absorb the information in a new class, or bring out your inner beauty, this is the time to do it. Artists or anyone artistic/creative will find this the best time to cast spells or perform meditations that will bring inspiration and passion into your work.
Set an Intention and Tell the Moon
Many people will tell you to set your intention during the new moon, but I think the first days of the waxing phase are excellent for goal setting. I’ll use the restful introspective energy of the new moon to let my ideas marinate. Then when the powerhouse energy of the waxing moon comes thundering in, I’m ready to commit to my intention.
Once I have a goal in mind, I’ll perform a waxing moon spell around it. Your ritual can include anything you want, but if you need ideas, here’s what I do.
Waxing Moon Intention Spell
Go outside or near a window on the first day of the waxing moon. (This happens about three nights after the new moon phase.)
Write an intention (or a word that represents your intention) on a bay leaf and hold it between your palms.
Thank the waxing moon for being present for your ritual. I do this by holding my hands up towards the moon (with the bay leaf still pressed between my palms).
When you start to feel the current of energy from the waxing moon, bring your hands to your heart (still holding the bay leaf).
Spend a few minutes thinking about something that will bring up the feelings you associate with your intention. For example, you want to call in romantic love, so you visualize yourself getting asked out while you’re sipping a cold brew at your favorite coffee shop.
Next, open your eyes and light the bay leaf on fire. Do this in a fireproof container so you stay safe. Wait for the bay leaf to burn completely.
Watch that intention float up to the moon carried by the smoke.
Trust that the moon has received your intention and that it’s already helping you manifest it.
Thank the moon, and your spell is complete.
Come Up with a Manifesting Plan
After you’ve shared your intention with the moon, start planning how you’ll create opportunities for your intention to manifest. If you’ve decided to manifest a new job with this waxing moon, brainstorm some actions you can take to align your energy with that of a new job. You could apply for jobs online, ask friends for leads, carve out time every day to visualize your job or look for internship opportunities.
After you have some ideas, get out your calendar and mark the last day of the waxing moon. (This will be the night before the full moon.) Plan what days you’re going to do each action. Shoot for one action a day towards your goal—even if it’s just a quick spell before you go to bed.
Finally, decide on how you’ll celebrate the full moon. This can be dinner and a movie, tickets to a concert, or a relaxing bath with some wine. Pick something special that you wouldn’t normally give yourself. Whether or not you stick to your waxing moon plan, enjoy your celebration. You and the moon deserve it!
Let’s say your intention is something huge like writing a novel. You’re probably not going to accomplish that during the fourteen days of the waxing moon. It will likely take you at least a few moons to bang out the first draft. If that’s your goal, plan the action you’ll take during this current waxing moon. You could commit to outlining a chapter a day for fourteen days. Or maybe you’ll choose to wake up an hour early to write. After the waxing phase is over, you can think up some ways to use the waning moon energy for your writing project.
(By the way, if your goal IS to write a novel, put your laptop or writing notebook by your window so the moon can shine on it. The waxing moon is great for cultivating creativity.)
If You Need Clarity, Ask the Moon
The moon has been around almost as long as the earth has. It knows things. It can help you if you don’t know exactly what to manifest. You can access the moon’s ancient wisdom by simply asking.
Take a moment each night during this moon phase to close your eyes and send a question up to the moon. Something like, “What should I focus on tomorrow?” or “What should I create tomorrow?” will work just fine.
Imagine your words flying out of your mind towards the moon like a comet. Then open your journal and spend five- or ten-minutes writing whatever comes to mind. You’ll likely get your answer.
Ask for an Unexpected Gift
I do this every night during the waxing moon and it’s brought me so many crazy wonderful things—a new project, an idea for a story, a random check in the mail, a flirty text from someone cute. It makes me smile just thinking about all my moon gifts.
Try it for yourself. You’ll notice quickly that when you work with the moon’s abundant energy, magic happens in the most surprising ways with very little effort. There are two reasons for this. The first is the moon is already putting off a strong manifesting energy. It wants to send blessings your way. The second reason is the moon knows what you want. It’s been shining down on you all your life night after night. You can trust the moon to send some love your way.
Let the Waxing Moon Charge Your Magical Tools
The moon will charge anything its light touches with whatever energy it’s holding. For fourteen days, the waxing moon’s light will be sending out lots of joyful manifesting energy. Set out whatever you’ll need for your manifesting magic, and let the moon do its thing while you sleep.
These tools can include water, magical oils, herbs, crystals, incense, written incantations, journal entries, candles, magical card decks, or your cauldron. The moon won’t discriminate. Whatever you chose to leave out overnight, the moon will make sure it’s already to go!
You don’t have to make a big deal about doing this. For me, it’s like plugging in my cell phone before bed. It just takes a minute, and I go to bed knowing my tools will be fully charged in the morning.
Take a Moon Bath
In addition to charging your magical tools, you can charge yourself by taking a moon bath. To do this, take a blanket or a lawn chair, and sit outside in a place where you get a nice view of the moon. Hold out your arms and let the moon’s light wash over you. Feel its manifesting power as it lands on your skin and seeps into your body. Breathe in the light of the moon. Smell it. Open your mouth and allow the light to enter your body that way. What does it taste like? Can you feel its power?
While you’re soaking in moonbeams, take a moment to admire the moon’s beauty. Notice the light and dark spots from the way the sun’s light hits the moon’s surface. Look for shapes or figures in the moon. Observe any feelings that come up as you’re doing this.
Also, you don’t have to sit. You can dance, jump around, or lay down. Let yourself be wild under the moon if you want. I feel a juicy sort of energy when I do this like I’m connected to all other witches from the past, present, and future.
Maybe you want to go camping and sleep under the moon. Maybe you’d like to cuddle with your lover, your cat or your family under the moon. Experiment with everything you can do in the moonlight. There’s no limit.
My favorite thing to do when I’m taking a moon bath is to revel in the abundance of the universe. I’m reminded that there are more than enough stars, more than enough sky and more than enough moonlight for everyone in the world. What a great energy to bring to manifesting spells!
Invite the Moon to Make Magic with You
Go outside (or by a window if the weather’s bad) and actually perform your magic in the light of the moon. This could be a meditation, a spell or a tarot card reading. It’s a beautiful way for you and the moon to co-create together.
Be curious about this. Notice any unusual feelings that come up during your magic and journal about them. Keep track of the magical results you see. Are you manifesting faster? Did you feel a burst of energy when you lit your candle? Do money spells work better under the moon? What about love spells? Once you get familiar with the waxing moon energy, you’ll start to know what spells are especially potent when you team up with the moon.
 1st Quarter Moon
The Moon is waxing (increasing in light), and 50% to 75% illuminated.  This phase usually begins the 7th day after New Moon and continues until the 10th or 11th. It will be about 7.5 days until Full Moon (from the beginning of this phase).  This is the 3rd in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The First Quarter Phase begins when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 90º and continues until the angle reaches 135º (when the Gibbous Phase will begin). This phase is the first half of the 1st Quarter (when the cycle is divided into 4 quarters rather than 8 phases). First Quarter Moon rises around mid-day and sets around midnight. She is brightly visible the first half of the night and can often be spotted during daylight hours in the afternoon.  The name First (or 1st) Quarter is used in both astrology/magick and astronomy.
The First Quarter, or Waxing Half Moon, is the time when energies are most conducive to attraction. Unlike the Waxing Crescent, which is best for going within and bringing things out, this is the best time for magic that attempts to draw things outside of yourself to you.
Use this time for spells and meditations meant to attract things you want in your life, such as money, protection or success. It's also an ideal time for attracting people into your life, such as friends, lovers and clients. If you're looking for an animal companion or have one that you want to bond with, this is a good time to perform the workings.
If you're looking for a lost object, or house hunting, etc., this is a good time to perform spells for success in that area to help you bring that which you most desire into manifestation.
How it effects your life
The deceptive imagery of fragility and hesitancy in the waxing Moon are long gone. She is brilliantly lit, growing rapidly, and visible not only a good portion of the night, but in day as well. Strong and prominent, she victoriously casts her light, and casts her spell of confidence and success. Yet she has not reached Full Moon, we are only halfway through the waxing cycle. She has achieved brilliant light, high visibility, and solid form - but far from reaching the goal. She has simply passed the milestone of uncertainty; strength and momentum abound.
Our visions and inspirations, mere vague yet exciting notions at New Moon have taken shape and gained momentum along with the Moon. Plans are becoming solid and real; our inner visions are coming to the attention of others. Excitement and enthusiasm are returning - things are happening, the vision is manifesting. We are shining brightly now, but, like the Moon, we still have a long way to go. Past the details and glitches of the Crescent Phase, we may be facing more real challenges. However, these challenges have a way of exciting and stimulating, because we are also beginning to see some real effects of our efforts; there is something solid to fight for.
How to make the most of this phase
The First Quarter Phase is often referred to as 'crisis of action' because now is the time to move forward. The vision was born during New Moon, it faced the stresses of development during Crescent Moon, and now it's ready to be put into action. Move forward, build momentum, and take action. The question is how? We've defined our goal and developed our resources. Now we need to refine the plan and act on it. We are beginning to see progress, take it and run with it. But don't run blindly, things are propelled forward with great momentum, and the key is to know where you're going, and how you'll get there, so you can make the most of this momentum.
There is a feeling of success, and a sense of accomplishment in the air. Yet the goal has not yet been reached, success has not been achieved. Many people will feel a surge in confidence (or ego) during the First Quarter Phase. It's all too easy to think things are going well, you are working hard, the goal is within reach. However, if you don't pay attention, and make sure all is going well, and that you are working hard in the right direction, that goal which felt so close could slip away before you even realize it. This is a time it's important to be sure of yourself (not only your actions) deep down. Confident and successful feelings based on the beginnings of accomplishments can be great. But they can be fragile. On some level we know it's pre-mature to think we've won the battle before it's over. But things are progressing so fast we feel it anyway - until someone or something points out how far we still have to go. That's why it's important to be aware of how far we've come, and how far we have left. Be realistic, make a plan, tell yourself you can do it – and do it. Don't set yourself up for a fall.
The Moon is in solid form and shining brightly. The energy level is high; so is the level of activity. The First Quarter Moon Phase is what we make of it. In the Crescent Phase, we encountered problems to be solved and things to be done. In this phase we take deliberate action. This is an excellent time for planning, structuring, making decisions and striving for efficiency and productivity. It's usually easier to develop confidence during First Quarter, so if you have confidence and self-esteem issues, actively work on them. This also makes it a good time for taking on difficult or challenging projects. This is a good time to begin a health or exercise program, organize, remodel, change routines - whatever will get things on track and moving in the right direction.
Take a decisive and assertive approach. This isn't the time to 'decide not to decide'. Things are happening, probably faster than you realize, and you want to shape the way they develop. Push for progress and be quick to take action. There is a lot of energy and forward momentum, tap into it and get things done. Remember, that others are feeling the same lunar energy you are. There is an active, confident, and assertive quality to the mood of most people. It's probably best to avoid conflicts, when possible, unless you want a confrontation. When you find yourself at odds with others, try for compromise, but remember the saying "If you act like a doormat, people will walk all over you". This is truer now than during any other lunar phase. Independence and individuality are important elements during this phase. Do your own thing, and do it well? Don't interfere in the progress of others, but don't let them interfere in yours either.
When planning important projects, you need to begin then within the growing portion of the cycle. Any phase during the waxing cycle is appropriate, but each brings a different mood and energies to your project. The First Quarter Phase is good for fast paced and highly active projects. Things began now tending to be more demanding, and perhaps a bit more challenging, than things began during the earlier phases, but also more structured and dynamic. Planning, structuring, direction and decisiveness will be necessary - this isn't the time for beginning passive or casual undertakings. This is the time for dynamic, active projects - for example, the most recent incorporation of Microsoft, as well as the initial release of the Windows platform were during First Quarter Phases.
In ongoing plans and projects, remember this is the time for action and decisions. If you have things that have been in the 'planning stages' for too long, this is the time to get them off the ground. In projects that seem to be at a standstill, give them an active boost. Look over the situation, and see what changes need to be made. Make decisions and take action. Look for ways you can manage your projects better, take control of your life - anything that falls within the realm of structured, assertive, or active progress.
 Waxing Gibbous Moon
The Waxing Gibbous is still a time for constructive magic, best used towards 'reeling in' that which you've been working for already. If you started a project and it's floundering, stalled, if you're at the point when the thing you're working for is coming into the home stretch and you need some extra energy to bring it home, the Waxing Gibbous will give it a boost.
This phase is a great energy for renewing your strength, will and determination to see your efforts through. If you are giving in to temptation on your diet, working hard toward something and feeling burnt out or are at the point where you're getting lazy and distracted from completing your tasks, give yourself a power boost during the Waxing Gibbous.
The Moon is waxing (increasing in light) and 75% to 100% illuminated.  This phase begins the 10th or 11th day after New Moon and continues until Full Moon. It is about 3.5 days until Full Moon (at the beginning of this phase).  This is the 4th in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The Gibbous Phase begins when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 135º and continues until the angle reaches 180º (when the Full Moon Phase will begin). This phase is the second half of the 1st Quarter (when the cycle is divided into 4 quarters rather than 8 phases). The Gibbous Moon rises in the afternoon and sets in the early pre-dawn hours of the morning.  She is visible from Moonrise until Moonset.  This is the phase when it's easiest to spot her in daylight hours.  One thing that can be confusing, is you will see reference to both waxing and waning Gibbous Moon.  This is typically an astronomical reference, in astrology and magick usually only waxing is called gibbous.  What astronomers call waning gibbous, astrologers call disseminating.
How it effects your life
The Moon is so nearly full, you may have to look twice, or even consult an astrological calendar as we approach the end of the Gibbous Phase. She is brilliant, nearly round, illuminating the darkness of night.  Truly a breathtaking sight.  Her energy is so strong you can feel it as you gaze at the silvery disc overhead. She is nearly full.  Nearly, but not quite.  It almost seems as if she is poised, yet hesitating, taking a deep breath before her big night.  With time and patience, she proceeds along her path.  It will come.  It will be soon.
If we bring our lives into rhythm with the natural cycles, we find ourselves following the path of the Moon.  We are poised and ready, the goal is so near we can almost touch it, almost reach it.  Almost, yet something is stopping us.  We just don't feel prepared, or it isn't exactly coming together as it should. There is one more detail, or one missing element.  We encounter a last-minute glitch.  Something isn't quite right; something isn't quite ready.  So very close, but not quite, not yet.  Do we give up, after working this long and hard, after pouring so much energy into it in the First Quarter Phase?  Not if we are following the Moon's path; not if we are following her example and flowing with her energy.  We continue, certain that it will happen, it will come, and it will be soon.
How to make the most of this phase
Look at the Moon and feel the Moon.  Draw from, join in her strength and certainty.  The Gibbous Phase holds a great deal of power and potential.  It may take some patience and determination to tap into it.  We find ourselves at the precarious point of being very close to a goal. The vision born at New moon is nearly materialized.  We may think we've made it.  Then something comes up, but don't look at it as a bad thing.  This phase is about refining, fine-tuning, and tuning in. What you have begun may seem ready, but it can be better.  Challenges, really, are always opportunities in disguise.  But this is truer than ever during the Gibbous Phase.  When you find yourself encountering glitches in your plans, realize that it is fortunate they were discovered at this stage, and most likely the result will be improving and enriching your endeavors.
Impatience is so strong you can feel it in the air during Gibbous Phase. Yet patience is one of your best allies.  However, this isn't the sit quietly and wait type patience.  This phase call for having the patience to do things right, analyze, refine, strengthen, perfect…  There is far too much to do for idly waiting, or for rushing it too fast.  Be careful, be certain, take criticism as constructive (even if it's not intended that way).   Just watch the Moon, taking her time, developing the perfect form to create a spectacular display when the moment has come, and not before.  Follow her lead, and as always, you won't go wrong.
The vision was born at New Moon.  It has developed, strengthened through the phases and made great leaps forward during First Quarter Moon.  Now it is on the brink of manifestation.  If there was ever a bad time to give up, this is it!  Work on solidifying your plans, and double check everything.  Take advantage of the analytical and refining tendencies of this phase for anything that you need to revise.  This is a good time for any kind of precision work or reviewing and fine-tuning.
The Gibbous Phase is a good time for reviving what has been let slide. If you have (good) habits and routines you've strayed from, this is the time to work on getting them back. Skills and knowledge can get foggy too. If you have things you’ve learned, but haven't studied in a while, or skills you haven't practiced in some time, use this phase to 'brush-up'.  You will find it comes back more easily than you think.  This can also be a good time for developing natural talents.  If you have flair for art (as an example), but have never tried to fine-tune your skills, this is a good time for it.
Though we have nearly reached Full Moon, the light is still increasing, we are still in the waxing, growing portion of the cycle.  It is still an appropriate time to start a project or launch something new.  Unless you want to encounter the resistance of trying to promote growth in something with ingrained diminishing tendencies, this is your last chance (or wait a couple weeks before the next cycle).  Therefore, most often, the kinds of things we begin during this phase ore those we have been procrastinating on, rather than things that were planned and targeted for launching in this phase.  If you don't want new beginnings during waning Moon, and haven't got around to starting it yet, it's now or never.  Not really never, but you'll have to wait a couple of weeks.
We have a tendency (it's human nature) to easily avoid and procrastinate, but if we're running out of time, we suddenly become ready and impatient. You can call it synchronicity; you didn't plan it this way, yet this kind of energy fits well with the gibbous phase.  As Full Moon is so very near, there is a feeling of impatience in the air.  As so many things are almost complete, but not quite ready, there is a natural "mad rush' of sorts.  So, if you find yourself frantically scrambling to launch something that you hadn't got around to, yet suddenly can't wait for, don't feel that you've gotten out of tune.  However, do inject some logic before you get carried away.  Ask yourself a few questions.  Can it wait until the next cycle?  If so, are you actually ready; how much could it benefit from more preparation time?
Like the other phases the Gibbous Phase will bring its own, unique energy and inclination to thing began now (whether this is when you planned the launch, or it was a last-minute impulse).  Things began during the Gibbous Phase are likely to need refining, and fine-tuning.  There is a tendency to perpetually seek improvement.  This is a good time for launching things that are really a rough idea, the refining, perfecting, and tweaking will come quite naturally.  It's also a good time for beginning generally analytical, or highly detail-oriented projects.
 Full Moon
When the Earth is caught between the moon and the sun, the result is the Full Moon bearing the most powerful energies of the lunar cycle. The Full Moon is often seen by people as 'all purpose'—its energies are prismatic in that it flows into all areas and needs, be it constructive or destructive.
Even more so than the Dark Moon, the Full Moon is a time you would utilize for extra power when you're facing very difficult challenges. This is not just for minor mundane tasks, such as looking for the energy to reorganize your closet or trying to clear negativity out of the house after an argument; this is a time to reserve for those important things in your life that need major changes or major boosts.
While you can plan spells for anything, utilize this energy for your priorities that really matter in your life, like if you need to win a court case, or find a new job with better pay to prevent you from losing your home.
Magics and meditations revolving around spirituality, psychic development, dreams and divination are particularly well times for the Full Moon.
The Moon is now waning (decreasing in light), and 100% to 75% illuminated. This phase lasts about 3.5 days following Full Moon. It will be about 14.75 days until the next New Moon (from the beginning of this phase). This is the 5th in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The Full Moon Phase begins at Full Moon, when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 180º, and continues until the angle reaches 225º (when the Disseminating Moon Phase will begin). This phase is the first half of the Full Moon Quarter. The Full Moon rises at Sunset and sets at Sunrise. She is visible throughout the night.  The name Full Moon is used in both astrology/magick and astronomy.
How it effects your life
Half the Lunar cycle has been spent striving for this point. The Full Moon, in all her splendid glory shines brilliantly in the night sky, the earth glows with her divine silver light. The shadows seem vibrant and alive. It is a breathtaking sight, enlightening and mysterious. The darkness of night is illuminated, yet there is much we sense and cannot see. The light of the Moon, along with her power, has reached a peak. We see it, we feel it. The level of energy is higher on Full Moon than any other time of the month.
The Sun illuminates the Moon; she transforms and reflects his light upon the Earth. The illuminated Earth transforms and reflects her light, producing a mystical, silvery glow. These energies of illumination and reflection are ingrained into the phase of Full Moon. We reflect upon our lives and selves, we see more deeply into our own souls, as well as others. We are drawn to the illusive and mysterious.
The power of the Moon is unmistakable, tangible. We see it, feel it, and sense it. We feel our own power, and the power of the world around us. The moon is the natural astrological ruler of emotions. When she is riding high, so are our emotions. We aren't happy, we're elated; we aren't mad, we're furious; we aren't interested, we're excited; we aren't sad, we're depressed. This is a powerful time, of excess and extremes, which can manifest in a positive or negative way.
How to make the most of this phase
Full Moon is one of the most powerful and influential times in the natural cycle, and probably the most widely accepted (even by many skeptics) proof of astrological influence on our lives. Everyone has seen and felt the effects, firsthand. There is an out-of-control tendency that can make it difficult to harness this energy. The first step is awareness. Don't enter this phase unaware of and out of touch with your emotions, or you likely won't know what to do when the emotional high tide comes. Make sure you have used the waxing phases to learn, grow, build and structure. If you approach Full Moon feeling like your life is spinning out of control, it just might.
Although we are only halfway through the entire Lunar Cycle, there is a feeling of culmination. A goal has been reached. The building, evolving, waxing light of the past couple of weeks has manifested. And what a spectacular manifestation it is! You will find things you have worked on and built coming together at this time. Remember the vague visions of New Moon? Now illuminated, we can see them clearly. If they have survived, and you have put the effort into them, they are now a manifestation. Realistically, few goals are reached, or projects completed in a couple of weeks’ times. However, there is a sense of completion and manifestation in some form. Perhaps the idea is just becoming a solid plan, or one phase of a project is completed. Whatever the case, even if it seems to be only in your own perspective, things are more real and solid. Something has been achieved. If you have been going in the wrong directions, you will see the results of that be manifested into solid form as well. Preparation and the right mind frame are key in successful, productive use of this notorious Moon Phase.
The Moon has reached her peak; from the moment of Full Moon the light will begin decreasing. The period of growth and time for beginnings is past. This is the most active period of change. This time can be useful for changing or breaking habits and routines. Bring things to an end, where needed. This is also a highly creative time, with endless poems, songs, and works of art using Full Moon as a subject, demonstrating the point. Make use of the creative influence for artistic endeavors, or creative thinking. Just be careful of coming to firm decisions fight now (especially on the day of Full Moon), as logic isn't necessarily a strong point right now.
There are many dark corners in our lives, and ourselves, both small and large scale. In 'dark corners' I don't necessarily mean negative things, these are (at least partially) hidden or unnoticed things. With Full Moon, comes light, allowing us to see in those normally invisible, dark corners - just as the brilliant Moonlight allows us to see in the normally dark night. Use this time to take a closer look at things, see hidden potential, look for mistakes, and find opportunities. You can also get a clear insight into yourself, as your emotions are much stronger than usual.
As energy and emotions run high, arguments and conflicts are more likely at Full Moon. Although often difficult, compromise is important. In astrological terms, this is an opposition; the Sun is in the opposite position of the Moon. We often find ourselves completely at odds with someone else. It's important to remember, that this can be quite valuable, useful or informative. Opposite can manifest in different ways. When you look in a mirror, the image you see reflected is opposite the actual image yet reflects it accurately. When you encounter opposition, ask yourself if, in some way, it reflects aspects of yourself or your situations you have not been seeing. Other times, these conflicts can provide valuable insight or information. True, absolute opposites each have elements the other is missing. When you encounter opposition ask yourself if this person or event is giving you information and understanding that you have overlooked and could make your approach completer and more balanced.
It is no longer a good time for beginnings, the flow of energy is shifting. Full Moon is the balance point, or imbalance as it may be, in between waxing and waning. She is neither growing nor shrinking, she is full 100% illuminated. For an instant, a fleeting moment, there is total fulfillment, completion, achievement, and illumination. After that moment, the light is waning, slowly and gradually. This phase carries the energy of the moment of Full Moon, as well as the first gradual steps into the waning portion of the cycle. This is a good time for completing long-term projects or completing a phase of them.
This can be a good time for public displays, drawing attention, or presentations. There is a high energy, and highly emotional quality to Full Moon, so don't draw attention to potentially controversial things, unless you want a controversy. This is a time for putting on a show and getting a dramatic response.
The other, quite obvious factor in the influences this phase brings is, of course, light. It's a good time for evaluation, as things are illuminated figuratively, as well as literally. As we enter the waning phase, there is necessary decreasing and endings. Take a good look at your important projects and plans. Where are you stretching yourself, or your resources too thin? This is the time to begin 'weeding out' the unnecessary. There is a focus on excesses right now, and if you can step back and be objective (so that you aren't inclined to go to excesses) it is a good time for spotting excesses.
 Waning Gibbous Moon
After the Full Moon peaks, we enter the waning half of the lunar cycle. Waning energies repel rather than attract, so it's a good time to begin working on spells to get rid of things.
Minor banishing’s can begin with the Waning Gibbous. This is a good time for general cleansings to upkeep your home, office, garden or any of your personal spaces, etc., to keep things from mounting up. This is also a good time to cleanse any personal objects you may have, such as your jewelry or magical tools. Think of this more like routine dusting-- there's no major build-up, you're just trying to keep things clear to prevent problems.
If you have something for which you need closure, or if you're ready to end something in your life (such as an unfulfilling relationship or unsatisfying business venture), this is a good time for spells to bring things to their fruition.
As for meditations and divination, rather than looking to the future or on to new things, it's a good time for introspection. Where have your previous attitudes and actions brought you? What things in your life have been affecting you most? Are you happy with where you are? Do you need to make any attitude or behavior adjustments?
The Moon is waning (decreasing in light), and 75% to 50% illuminated. It begins the 3rd or 4th day after Full Moon and lasts into the 7th day. It is about 11 days until New Moon (from the beginning of this phase). This is the 6th in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The Disseminating Phase begins when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 225º and continues until the angle reaches 270º (when the Third Quarter Moon Phase will begin). This phase is the second half of the Full Moon Quarter. The Disseminating Moon rises in late evening, a couple of hours after Sunset, and sets in late midmorning, a couple of hours after Sunrise. She is easily visible from Moonrise until Moonset. In astrology and magick this phase is called disseminating; however, astronomers typically use the name Waning Gibbous.
How it effects your life
The Full Moon has passed, though just barely. She still lights up the night sky, and the darkness of earth, although she is visibly waning. The waning phase is primarily about endings and letting go, in contrast to the beginnings and growth of the waxing phase. It's time to begin letting go, to realize that a transformation is needed before there can be further growth.
We have made the transition from waxing to waning, like stepping through a doorway, and now it's time to see what awaits us. In fact, throughout the busy cycle this is the first time we have really stopped to look around. We begin to see where we stand and notice our surroundings and our place in them. The disseminating phase is integrative. Our awareness of others, their needs and goals, their effect on us is heightened. We begin to see where our knowledge may be useful to others, and their knowledge may be useful to us. The visions began at New Moon, the fulfillment gained at Full Moon, the experiences in-between have begun transforming into wisdom and understanding. We are compelled to share it. We absorb what others have to share. Communication is vital.
How to make the most of this phase
Following the natural path of the Moon, it is time to take a step back. Not a step backwards in progress, but step back from situations you are too close to, look at them objectively. From the darkness of New Moon, she has progressed, grown, increased to the peak of Full Moon. Now she is gracefully and slowly slipping into the shadows. She is re-visiting the darkness. Dark does not mean evil or bad. Knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and subconscious all reside in the quiet depths of the shadows. Begin turning your attention to things of this nature.
This is only the beginning of the waning portion of the Lunar Cycle. We begin by seeking understanding. At Full Moon, things are illuminated, accomplished, goals are reached, ideas are solidified. Now we know. But do we understand? The mind is busy, sharing and gathering information, racing with thoughts. This is the time to process those thoughts, bits of information, memories of experiences into wisdom - a valuable tool you can utilize for the rest of this cycle, and all that follow it.
The sharing of information is one of the critical elements of and uses for the Disseminating Phase. If you have a message to get out, now is the time. If others are talking (about something relevant) listen to what they have to say. Study, learn, and absorb ideas and information. The tendency for sharing and interaction is not limited to information, although that is its primary influence. This can be an excellent time for socializing, teaching children to share, charity work. It's perfect for attending (or teaching) classes and workshops, making friends whom you connect to on an intellectual level, or exploring other cultures. Learn and diversify, keep an open mind.
This phase is usually a busy time (at least mentally), but in the rush to share, gain, and digest ideas don't forget that the general tendency of the waning phase is decreasing and letting go. This is a good time for breaking habits, changing routines, and weeding out ideas which aren't useful. Be open to change, as this phase is a beginning of a transformation. Ask yourself what you need to transform.
Now that we are in the waning phase it is no longer favorable to begin projects for growth and increase, because the natural tendency is decreasing. The disseminating phase has a strong focus on information. If you want to get a message out, 'spread the word' this is a perfect time. It's also a good time for gathering information. Think ahead to what you have planned for the next waxing moon and do your research. If you are in the middle of a big project or a difficult/confusing situation or point in your life, ask yourself what you need to know. Information is a powerful tool, and if you don't have all the facts, or don’t fully understand them use this time to remedy the situation. By the same merit if your side of the story hasn't been heard - tell it.
The Disseminating Phase also marks the beginning of transformation. Think change. Even in things we want to progress and grow, the balance of waning is essential. Do you have a stalled project, or feel stuck in a rut? Then something has to change, opening new doors, giving new options. Something has to end making room for new growth or allowing it to be 'reborn' in a different and better way.
 3rd Quarter Moon
The Third Quarter, or the Waning Half-Moon, is the perfect timing for dealing with obstacles or leaping over hurtles that might cause you to stumble on your way. Whenever you've been working toward something, and there's a roadblock in your path, the timing of this moon phase offers appropriate energies for helping you burst through it.
Temptations are the number one thing I like to deal with during the Third Quarter. If I'm finding that I often want to cheat on my diet or lay in bed rather than get up and do my exercise or watch TV and fool around on the internet rather than working, I banish that temptation with a spell.
Another good use of this moon phase's energy is in aiding with transitions, whether these are transitions that you have to make or simply want to make in your life. It can help smooth out any wrinkles that might cause snags as you go on your way.
The Moon is waning (decreasing in light), and 50% to 25% illuminated.  This phase usually begins the 7th day after Full Moon and continues until the 10th or 11th. It will be about 7.5 days until New Moon (from the beginning of this phase).  This is the 6th in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The Last Quarter Phase begins when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 270º and continues until the angle reaches 315º (when the Disseminating Moon Phase will begin). This phase is the first half of the 3rd Quarter (when the cycle is divided into 4 quarters rather than 8 phases).  The Last Quarter Moon rises around midnight and sets mid-day.  She is visible from Moonrise, until Moonset.  Both astrology/magick and astronomy may use either Last Quarter, Waning Last Quarter, or Third Quarter for this phase. Third Quarter is used more often in astronomy than in astrology/magick.
How it effects your life
Once again, we have reached the balance of light.  The Moon begins this phase exactly half illuminated, but waning.  She is slipping into the darkness, slowly but surely.  Each night we see another sliver of light gone.  She still illuminates the night, but gradually the shadows grow stronger and the light grows weaker.  It is a time of transition, transformation, and evolution.  There is a restless, sometimes uneasy feeling.  Instinctively we feel that something is happening, something is changing.
In the First Quarter Phase we feel the energy of waxing and growing become quite potent at the light overtakes the dark.  We have now reached the opposite point, as the dark overtakes the light and we feel the energy of waning and decreasing with equal potency. However, the darkness is the quiet, the internal, the letting go, the understanding - it is a more subtle energy. The mysteries of the shadows are now more alluring than the discoveries of the light.  The energy is deep and powerful, but not so easy to decipher as the extroverted and illuminating energy we felt in the First Quarter.
How to make the most of this phase
Half-light, half dark.  We are looking back and looking ahead.  Often, we find ourselves at cross-roads during the Last Quarter Phase, sometimes trying to (or needing to) take both roads at once.  Things began early in the phase are coming to fruition.  There are things that still need to be done, perhaps another big push to finish up.  Maybe they should be continued or revived.  It's decision time.  Then, there is the question of where to from here.  What will replace things that have been finished?  What will be started in the next phase?  Again, decision time.
Look back: where have you been, and what have you done?  Look ahead:  where are you going, and what will you do?  This is a time of change, as we are beginning to form plans for the future, realizing the repercussions of the past, and deciding what we will (or must) continue, and bring with us.  This isn't a time to dodge responsibility and avoid decisions.  We often find ourselves facing mistakes we have made and receiving credit for what we have archived.  We become aware of what is finished or needs to be. We've been gathering wisdom, contemplating change.  Now we begin to figure out what to do with what we have, and don't have.
The Quarter Moon Phases, both first and last, are times of balance followed by direction.  This one is vastly different from the First Quarter, however.  This is a good time to break bad habits and change routines. Sometimes the more stubborn habits are easier to break now than in the Disseminating Phase.  There is sometimes a vague feeling of chaos in our lives around this time.  Be careful not to let things spin out of control, but don't be too concerned. It's natural, this is a turning point and there are probably many things going on simultaneously.   Don't let yourself slip into bad habits, and not do what has to be done.  However, don't push yourself too hard either.  Rest and contemplation are integral to the entire waning phase.
The Last Quarter Phase is a good time for taking care of details.  Do things you've been putting off.  Clean out the closet, finish up some paperwork. Work on wrapping things up, and deal with those 'odds and ends' you've been neglecting.  It's a good time to organize, prioritize, streamline, and weed out. Clean up clutter, throw away things you don't need and make room for those 'homeless' things laying around.
This can be an important point in long-term projects and goals. This is a time for making the hard decisions and implementing serious change.  What needs to be eliminated?  If you are have come to a point where you must choose one of two (or more) directions, this is a good time to make your choice.  Now is the time for re-structuring and re-considering plans.  Take a hard look at what has and hasn't worked, make use of information you've gathered.  This is a time of endings, but not always eliminating things.
This is a good time for finishing or beginning the final stage of something. If you have a project near completion, it can be a good time to take the necessary steps to finish it; make time and room for something new.
Mistakes made along the way may, and problems you've encountered be catching up with you.  Don't ignore them or give up on what you've been trying to do.  See what there is to be learned, and how they may be avoided in the future.  Implement change where needed or use this time to figure out what change is needed. Take an honest look at projects, or things in your life that seem to be going downhill.  Decide if it's worth pursuing or not.  There is a difference in giving up, depressed, frustrated, and illogical or thinking it through and deciding that it's not worth continuing with. Decide whether you're ending the goal or the plan.  If you're ending the plan, but the goal is still worth striving for, consider a new start, a different approach, in the coming Lunar Cycle.  If you're ending the goal, do what is needed to wrap it up, and start thinking ahead.  Consider the possibilities opened by the time and resources you're freeing up.
 Waning Crescent Moon
If you need to clear your life and home of negativity, stress, strife, chaos, etc., now is the time to do it. The Waning Crescent, as it approaches the Dark Moon phase, it suitable for stronger banishing than at any other time of the waning moon phases. Get rid of whatever has been plaguing you—anything you find to be seriously annoying, frustrating or concerning (save things that are serious threats for that Dark Moon).
If you need things to end—not just to finish up and end, but things that no longer serve you that you need to just stop in their tracks-- this moon phase is a good time to do it. Dropping a hopeless project, relationship, friendship, etc. is best done at this time. This is a good time to cast a spell for anything for which you wish to bring about a swift and benign ending.
The Moon is waning (decreasing in light) and 75% to 0% illuminated. This phase begins the 10th or 11th day after Full Moon and continues until New Moon. It is about 3.5 days until New Moon (at the beginning of this phase). This is the 7th in the 8 phases of the Lunar month. The Balsamic Phase begins when the Sun/Moon angle reaches 315º and continues until the angle reaches 0º (when the New Moon Phase will begin). This phase is the second half of the 3rd Quarter (when the cycle is divided into 4 quarters rather than 8 phases). The Balsamic Moon rises is early morning, before dawn and sets in late afternoon. Early in this phase is visible in pre-dawn twilight; a thin silver crescent softly growing in the eastern sky. By the end of this phase she has disappeared, as we approach the next lunar cycle. This phase is called Balsamic, Dark Moon, and Waning Crescent. In astrology/magick the term waning crescent is rarely used; it is by far the most common astronomical name. Dark Moon and Balsamic are commonly used in astrology/magick.
How it effects your life
The darkness is nearly complete. We begin the Balsamic Phase with just a thin sliver of light - you may catch a glimpse in early morning - and by the end of the phase, darkness is complete. We are approaching New Moon; this is the last waning phase. She has withdrawn into the darkness, leaving the night wrapped in shadows. Disappearing, she is resting, preparing for the next Lunar Cycle. As we follow her example, follow her path, we do the same.
This is a time of quiet contemplation. We withdraw into the shadowy depths of thought and emotion, resting, reflecting, thinking, feeling, dreaming, and preparing. To a great degree we exist in the 'invisible worlds' of subconscious, spiritual realms, daydreaming, and our own inner depths. We are often consciously unaware - much is happening, yet it seems that nothing is happening. The past slips away, quietly into the night as the future slips in. While the Moon releases her current cycle, extinguishing the light and preparing for the next cycle, we to are releasing extinguishing and preparing; even if we don't know it on a conscious level.
How to make the most of this phase
This is a time to notice the subtle, especially within yourself. It's not a time of dramatic changes and hectic action. Yet it's a time of chaos, in its own way. There is often an uneasy, restlessness about the Balsamic Phase. This isn't (typically) chaos in the external sense, of noticeable disorder and confusion. This is a deeper, more subtle more meaningful type of chaos. The Lunar cycle is ending, with it our cycle of progress and action is ending. Yet a new cycle has not begun. There is a sense of void, but it's not a void. It's filled with the past, the future, hopes and fears. Externally this should be a calm, quiet time. Allow yourself opportunity to think, feel and experience.
The Balsamic Moon Phase is a time of release. The growing and building of the waxing phase have passes. The actively analyzing, correcting, and changing of the waning phase up to this point has passes. Now is the time for acceptance and release. What has gone too far to be repairable, we must let go of. Perhaps it will be re-started in the next, or a future Lunar Cycle. Maybe it won't. But if its time has come, we must now let go. We must have faith in ourselves, and the natural cycle, knowing what we let go of now will be reborn, the resources will be reused, we are making way for something new, releasing emotions and beginning healing…
Balsamic Moon is also a time of preparation. New Moon is approaching; we are on the verge of the next Lunar Cycle. We are on the verge, but not there yet. Gather your strength and resources; let your mind and body relax. Let your spirit and soul play. Let your imagination run wild. We are following the natural cycle. The Moon is now retreating into the shadows, withdrawing into herself, resting and preparing to come back strong and vibrant in the next cycle. This is the time we should be preparing ourselves to be refreshed and ready for great momentum and new growth to come.
One of the best uses for the Balsamic Phase is rest. If you've been pushing yourself too hard, feeling used up and burnt out, the most important thing to do right now is give yourself a break. It's also a time to get in touch either yourself or nature. This is the time to stop and smell the roses, enjoy the moment. It's also a good time for mundane, routine tasks - the kind of thing you do automatically without having to give it much though. Try to avoid strenuous activities, especially mentally strenuous. This is the time for your mind to relax, and let your subconscious, your soul, and your imagination flow. Don't fill your head with a bunch of fact and figures, that won't let the subtle flow through.
In terms of more 'practical' activities, remember we are in the final days of the waning moon. It won't be favorable time for breaking habits, endings, or eliminating until the next phase. If you have things of this nature you need to do, now is the time. This phase of the waning Moon is particularly good for final endings. Anything you don't want to return or want it to at least be slower than typical - now is the time. For example, if you pull weeds they don't grow back as quickly, if you clean out the junk drawer, it will fill up slower, if you plug a leak it's more likely to hold and so on.
This is not the time to begin anything. It is an excellent time for endings. If you need to end a difficult relationship, break a contract, stop a tough habit, etc. this is your best time. In difficult situations, see if anything needs to be ended and if not, this isn't the time to address the problem. In long-term projects, the Balsamic Phase usually seems to be a time of stalled progress. Don't push for something to happen, wait until New Moon. However, this phase can be an excellent time of inspiration and creativity. The logical and forward moving part of things may be stalled, but often what we really need is a break from the activity and some objective, unusual thoughts on the matter.

when –– june second, late at night. where –– in the hotel garden, toronto.
This little Canadian garden is sweet, very orderly and crisp, not a place of magic like the one back home. Yet, somehow, the air feels charged with life. Down a little garden path, partially obstructed from passing onlookers and hotel guests, is an arbor covered in flowering roses. Under its shade stands a woman, her hair glossy and dark, her spine proud and straight, her shoulders relaxed. Her head is crowned in pink and white begonias. She belongs right here in this garden, though really, she carries herself like she belongs everywhere. She turns to see Eve, and her smile is an uncanny replica of Eve’s. If it weren’t for her elegant evening gown and the sheer confidence in her eyes, she would be Eve’s perfect mirror image. “Oh, you sweet thing,” she says, and the affection and pride in her voice is overwhelming. She holds out her hands to greet Eve. A diamond glimmers on her left hand. “Look at you, Eve. You are so amazing.” She laughs like she is discovering a long lost, beloved thing, and the sound tinkles in the air like tiny bells. “Do you recognize me? Can you tell what I am?”
Her breath is stolen, and she can't quite place why. It's the garden, it's the beauty of it. No –– it's the beauty in it. For once, Eve thinks to herself that there is something more stunning than nature at its prettiest. She goes to say something, because she's wrapped in need; she wants to know the sound of this woman's voice and all she has to say. And then her breath is still gone, and she almost chokes on the missing air. The woman, so beautiful she wanted to lean in, is her. But she isn't. It's impossible; it doesn't make any sense. And yet the heavy humidity, the distant calls of birds before they settle, tells her this is real. She almost falls to her knees in prayer. This woman, her mirror image, should be worshipped. She feels it, she knows it. "I––" the words die. Any logic dies with them. Slowly, she reaches out her hand to touch her. "––how?"
Her smile is dazzling as she watches Eve. With one hand she takes Eve's, and with the other she reaches up to cup her cheek, her touch warm and gentle and so, so loving. "How is a complicated question, sweet thing," she says with all the tenderness in the world. "One I can answer, but not just yet. There is much you will need to do to get to this." Her forehead creases almost imperceptibly with a gentle pain. "Feiyan is still missing, after all, and that is what you need to focus on. That, and making sure your fellow Councilors don't trip down the wrong path. Especially Marcella." She shakes her head, her smile betraying the severity of her tone. "She can be so single-minded. It's what we love about her though, isn't it? When she focuses on what she wants..." Her eyes drift to the ring on her finger, fondness assuming control over her every movement and syllable. "She'll seek it without ever being stopped. But sometimes she has to be redirected, like many in our family."
Her lips part, eyes shine, as the woman takes her hand, touches her cheek. Real. This is real. It nearly sends a tremble through her body. She can't process it. And yet she knows she should. This is happening and this is real and a part of her knows she needs to grasp at the moment before it slides through her fingertips and she loses it. A wild desperation claws at her chest, telling her she never wants this woman to go. Everything about her is soothing, like sinking into the heat of a bath. Even as Eve has to remind herself to breathe, it's easier to. The air tastes of flowers and honey and she knows it's because of this version of herself before her. "Can you tell me?" She whispers, hope lifting her voices, eyes pleading. "Can you tell me how I can find her? And I don't–– I don't understand––Marcella isn't interested. I don't think she'd listen, even if I tried but––" it's foolish to talk like that, she realises. It's foolish because there's nothing she wouldn't do for her reflection, standing in front of her. "How do I protect them?"
"I wish I could tell you where she is or how to find her," she says, the pain in her face heartbreaking. "Unfortunately, that I cannot do. But I'm here to show you how many possibilities you have, that you don't even know about yet. There is so much more to your magic than you know, Eve. More to your role, more to your strength. We were once rulers, after all." She tucks a lock of Eve's hair behind her ear, motherly in her affection. "I can show you how to find that again." Her eyes twinkle at the sound of Marcella's name on Eve's lips. "She'll listen, my love, don't you worry. You're her queen. She looks to you like the moon in the sky. More often than not you know best, and she knows it. How can she not listen?" She leans in, places a soft kiss on Eve's forehead. "You have to assert yourself more. Take on the mantle you've long forgotten. We were once beloved by our subjects, and you can do that again, so long as you take the reins with a firm hand. It worked for me. They listen, even the ones who are stubborn. Even the ones who never thought much of me. Now? They know to listen." Pain flashes, and for a second they are indistinguishable in their grief. And then it flickers, ripples breaking through the surface of water as her uncertainty creeps in. I've trained for years she wants to say, because she wants to impress herself. But she bites down on the insecurity and listens, childlike in her awe. For the first time, a smile pulls at her lips at the kiss. She smiles, but she feels the sting of tears. Don't leave, she nearly asks. Don't leave. It's hard enough with Feiyan gone. A small part of her remembers Salma saying they need someone in charge. It surprises her, to remember that now, while the woman reminds her of what she once was. "By asserting myself," she tries, looking at her reflection, feeling so much shorter despite them being perfectly matched. "Will that -- is that what's going to help me with my magic? With... realising my potential? Do you really think I can get them to listen?"
The vines around them shift, and a rose in full bloom lowers itself to the reflection's waiting hand. She plucks it with a quick twist of her wrist and tucks it behind Eve's ear. "That's exactly right," she says with an encouraging smile. There's something more focused in her eyes as she looks into Eve's. "It will help you, and everyone else, too. Some of them just need a steady hand guiding them." She turns to Eve's side, looping her arm through Eve's and leading her off on a gentle stroll under the roses. "How can they not listen to you? You're sweet, loving Eve. You know what's best for everyone. And with Marcella at your side, it's not like they can really refuse, anyway." She laughs, carefree. "You'd never do anything that wasn't in their best interests, so why wouldn't you be right to take charge?"
Her smile widens, the flower tucking behind her ear chasing away the sting in her eyes. She's done the same before. Perhaps she's more like her reflection than she thought. A voice whispers in the back of her mind, a small worry that she ignores. She lets the woman start to walk them, following her like a puppy. "With Marcella..." Eve murmurs, tasting the words and liking them. "I'd never hurt them," she vows, meaning it completely. Her family. She'd been raised with the knowledge of what they would become. "Yeah, you know, I never really thought about it. Feiyan was always in charge and now that she's missing it's all I've been thinking of. But we need to band together and find her." The idea warms her. The image of finding Feiyan, of telling her how she had brought the council together... With Marcella "Will you help me? Will you visit again?"
"Banding together is important," she agrees with a regal dip of her chin. "But so is keeping everyone on track. Coordinated. You need to make sure every action, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, is controlled, so that nothing goes awry. Marcella knows how to do that when you find yourself at a loss, and she'll always support you. That I can promise." Her smile turns conspiratorial for a moment. "We always were her weakest point. You'll see, soon enough. She'll do anything you command to show you how much she needs you." She sighs, the sound both melancholy and pleased. "I wish I didn't have to go now, but I will be back very soon. I still have to show you how much power is yet at your fingertips, after all. You were a ruler once, a conqueror. You can be that again, if you want. I'll show you. But you have to really want it." She lifts Eve's chin with her fingers, her grip steady. "You can decide when I come back if that is the case. If you really want to do whatever it takes to seize what is rightfully yours. How does that sound?" She smiles, knowing and elegant, a picture-perfect Empress.
A ruler, a conqueror. She's memorised poems, read stories hundreds of times, desperate to remember the days long gone. Her eyes stare into her reflection's. Her breath escapes her again. You have to really want it. The whispers returns, louder this time. She ignores it again, intoxicated by the sweet smell of honeysuckle. Everything melts away with that smile. "That sounds wonderful," she breathes, voice nearly gone. "How do I get you to come back?"
She places another kiss on her mirror image's forehead. "You simply go about your business, sweet one. I'll find you soon. It will be wonderful, I promise." She smiles one last time, stepping away from Eve's side. Her gaze lingers on Eve as the vines around them shift, their thorns sliding against one another. Then she dips her head in farewell and turns, striding down the path as if a mantle spreads from her shoulders, all grace and sophistication. She turns at the end of the path and disappears from view behind a hedge, and just beyond, slides into the shadows and vanishes completely.

Tag Game
I was tagged by the marvelous @diegohoegreeves. Thank you so much!
what’s your favorite song(s) to sing/hum?  There’s nothing I don’t love to sing (albeit badly most of the time) but pop music (especially from the early 90s to early 2000s) is probably the most fun.
what’s your favorite flower/tree/plant? I love the smell of honeysuckle. I love the aesthetic of tulips.
favorite colors? Blush pink and dusty blue.
what do you always doodle? I stick with the very basics-- varieties of letters, unfortunately without any type of calligraphy involved. My skills are pretty basic.
how do you take your coffee/tea? I take my coffee with one Sweet-n-Low and 2-3 tablespoons of creamer. I take my tea iced and sweet (I’m Southern, y’all).
favorite candle scent? I was gifted a seasonal candle from Bath & Body Works called Twisted Peppermint that smelled nothing like peppermint. It was divine.
what perfume do you wear? I’ve been skimping on it lately, but my signature scent used to be DKNY’s Be Delicious.
what’s your go-to dance move when you’re alone? Twerking with all of this absolutely non-existent ass of mine.
favorite quote? Too fucking many. Words slay me.
favorite self care routine(s)? My exfoliating face-scrub and a super sexy Biore strip every now and then.
fuzzy socks or house slippers? I’m not big on things on my feet, but when it’s cold out, I have way too many pairs of fuzzy socks.
what color are your eyes? A darker, sapphire blue.
what’s your favorite eye color on others? It’s always been brown for men, no preference for women (we’re too beautiful for me to be choosy at all).
favorite season? The week of autumn we have down here.
cheek, neck, or nose kisses? Neck, come on!
what does your happy place look like? The reading nook I so desperately want and don’t have-- fairy lights, a lamp to read by, pillows and blankets and complete peace and quiet (unless I’m in the mood to play some Hozier really soft and low).
favourite breed of dog? I think Border Collies and Siberian Huskies are beautiful.
do you ever want to be married? i already am.
cursive or print? I was forced to write in cursive only from third grade up in my slavedriver Catholic school teachers, so when I graduated eighth grade, it was print from there on out. My print is much easier to read.
favourite weather? Rain heavy enough for me to hear and maybe a rumble of thunder here and there.
